The Last

The last.

That was what they always told each other because it was what they would be.

It may seem stupid thinking that while they were still in university but deep down they knew that after each other, there would never be someone else.

Kao and Pete may have had most of their firsts with other people but they were each other's last love and no one would be able to change.

Yes, they almost broke up sometimes but they came back stronger and with a better understanding of each other's feelings so they knew that this was fate telling them that no matter the adversities they would always come back.

So, it shouldn't have been surprising for their friends when Kao got on one knee during Pete's 26th birthday or that they got married half a year after that happened.

And even much less that the two were now planning on adopting a child as both had stable jobs and felt ready for this next step.

"I can't wait to meet our future kid" Pete whispers the night before they go to the orphanage

"Me too" Kao whispers back and cuddles more into Pete "Whoever we choose, we will do our best to give them a good life and be there no matter what problems fate gives them" he adds with a soft smile

"Just like our parents did with us" Pete agrees and kisses his husband softly

"Love you, Pete"

"Me too, Kao"

"So you are Gun?" Kao asks as he looks at the teen in front of him

"Y-yes" the boy says looking slightly afraid but mostly confused

"Take care of Tinn, he may seem serious and strong but he is just like his papa" Kao says smiling at Gun "Just give him affection and make sure he doesn't stress himself doing his work and trying to help you" he adds before patting Gun's head and going to tell Tinn that his friend had arrived

"Eh?" Gun says confused after Kao left

"Ignore him, he is an idiot" Pete sighs from the couch "Me and Kao will be leaving to visit his sister so you and Tinn can study in peace" he says getting up from the couch once his husband and Tinn appear

The married couple says their goodbyes, kissing Tinn in the forehead and making him promise to be careful while they are gone, before they leave the two teens to study in peace.

"How long do you think it will take until one of them confesses?" Kao asks Pete amused

"Who knows hopefully they do it before university" Pete says smiling

I really want to watch a bl drama where the there's the typical rough, dominant, tsundere type and then the guy who's kinda submissive, soft, sweet, etc. And you think you know who the top and bottom are, but! When it comes to physical stuff, the tsundere one gets kinda shy and you can see how flustered he gets because of his crush/lover, and the one who seems gentle realizes this, and because he just so happens to have a mischievous streak, he becomes a lot more dominant and kind of a tease. So the one you'd guess would be the bottom is actually .the top and vice versa.

just finished binging dark blue kiss and it really exceeded my expectations, to be honest. I loved that they didn't shy away from stuff and openly talked about sexuality, coming out, the feeling as though you're letting your family down just because you're not straight. there were definitely a few things I wasn't a big fan of, but overall I very much enjoyed it.

Alright, at the point that we as the audience have been dropped in the story, PeteKao have now been together for 3 years now and are still hiding their relationship. Pete obviously doesn't care about the negative re-precautions of going public, but he's going along with it for Kao's sake and it's clearly weighing him down. I think it's because Pete is an unashamed and straightforward person, hiding his relationship implies shame and Pete is Not down with that. This is My view, but keeping this secret is clearly having a negative effect on his mental health that is now rearing it's ugly head. 

For me Pete was ok with hiding at the start, probably fun and exciting, but he doesn't want that anymore...he's ready and he was probably ready to be public from KMA if we're honest lol

A lot of the Fanbase looks down on him for this "he doesn't understand" "he's lucky his father is so accepting" "Kao has a lot to lose"....Like are we just collectively ignoring/forgetting how Pete's coming out went? More specifically how he was actually "outed". No, Pete Doesn't understand how coming out is, because it was Taken from him. And Yes Pete is lucky to have the dad he does (I mean did fathers actually exist before Pete's dad? lol), when He was outed He didn't know that's how his father was going to react. But when the cards were down Pete stepped up and Refused to deny his love for Kao and was Prepared to Lose it all. His home, his parent, his wealth...like come on!!

Now, 3! years later and it has to feel like Kao is unwilling to even take a step, while Pete has been ready to move forward for quite a while now (marriage for example) and I think this has subconsciously created an insecurity in him that has grown like an open sore. And how could it not? How could Pete NOT be feeling things like "does this mean that I'm not worth it? Am I not a risk worth taking? I could have lost everything but still chose him. Why is he not choosing Me?"

I think this is why Pete is very serious about Kao not lying to him, because if Kao can't come out and make their relationship public the LEAST Kao can do for him is be 100% open and honest. But Kao Isn't. Kao doesn't tell Pete the extent of his family's financial hardships, how his tutoring job wasn't going well (losing students to competition), tutoring Non, etc.

Now people will say then why not Talk? "Tell Kao" But how do you talk about something that YOU don't even realize you're feeling? How do you accept the fact that the person you Love is the one making you resentful? the one making you insecure...

Apart from this it feels like Everyone is taking Kao's side (fans included lol)... Pete has to be the patient one, understanding....like he hasn't been doing it for 3. whole. years. And what made me love Pete more is that, even in his anger, he Still respects Kao's wishes not be outed. When his friends told him to come out he refused to say a word. He could have said Everything, how Kao was the one that wanted to keep the relationship a secret, How Pete wanted to tell everyone and avoid all the drama, essentially throwing Kao under the bus. But he didn't! He kept his mouth shut and allowed himself to be the bad guy.

All this just breaks my heart. Obviously we all know that forcing your partner to come out is a Big Big No No. I'm not saying this is an exception... in fact I think this should be a lesson to the person who IS out, especially if it's their FIRST queer relationship too and that is: Don't Ever feel like you have to shoulder someone else's coming out with them. That is their journey to make and if you are past this stage you have NO obligation to stagnate your life for them. This also has NO reflection on you as a partner. It does Not make you selfish to want to move forward. It does Not mean You were not "enough" because someone's coming out is about a person accepting Themselves and not at all about your worth. If you want to tell the world about your partner, walk with them in public, hold hands, kiss, tell them you love them in front of the world, You. Deserve. That. and although it might be Very Painful if the person you are with is Unable to give you that... you are not a bad person to walk away...because you deserve to move forward, you deserve to live your life.
