I’ve noticed there is still a good amount of Hei x Misaki fans here on tumblr, still surviving and cherishing the love for this ship for over a decade. I would tell you back then that I doubted any fictional ship would ever beat this one in my book and all these years later it’s still true.

Recently I’ve agreed on a special collab YCH commissions with my friend @sierra117-renner. She provided the YCH base and I’m doing the rest. And for the style sample I picked these two because heck, they need more art and I’ve improved a lot since my last fanart of them, I should provide you all with more.

Hello all, I thought I would compile a quick list of which honorifics each N Girl uses! I hope this helps anyone trying to write a fic, or anyone who is just curious!

Chitose Bridge:

Yuu Aizawa - No honorifics.

Akemi Kikuchi - "-chan"

Fumie Nishimura - "-chan"

Nanaka Morishima - "-chan", but none for Akemi.

Reine Saeki - "-chan", but has specific nicknames for some (Fumin, Sudacchi).

Saki Shimozono - "-chan"

Nagi Shiraki - "-chan"

Iruka Suda - "-chan" for most, but none for Nanaka.

-Darker Than Black, Episode 5, November11's catchphrase, and later used in Episode 6 by Misaki Kirihara as sarcasm against November11.

Me: "-Additionally, framing Kirihara's continuing pursuit of Hei in the closing scenes of episode 25 as a completely one-sided obsession, as in both Ryuusei no Gemini and the otherwise infinitely superior Shikkoku no Hana manga, does a deep disservice to his character on a thematic level as well. It's no coincidence that until he appears to save Misaki, the only appearance of Hei's mask for the entire last three episodes is a single shot where it is removed as a symbolic refutation of the idea that he is a heartless monster. And yet, when the emotional core of the Gate sequence is accepting and admitting that the Black Reaper is a lie and the man behind the mask hates hurting people and has always hated hurting people, the final time he appears onscreen, the mask is back. But of course it is, because as Amber says, rejecting her future means going back to a world where he'll have no choice but to keep killing to survive, because the Syndicate will never stop hunting him down. When Hei, wearing the mask of the Black Reaper, says that Li is gone, that's the price he paid for the path he chose: the world he chose to preserve is one he can no longer be a part of. The fiction that was Li was a chance to exist apart from the Black Reaper, and the human connection it allowed is framed specifically in terms of the fact that he enjoys spending time with Misaki Kirihara! So to present all of their subsequent encounters as her screaming 'Li-kun!' at Hei's retreating back while he completely ignores her or treats her with disdain not only devalues Kirihara's character in an annoyingly sexist way, but also implicitly undermines Hei’s entire character arc because if he places so little value on an emotional connection sincere enough that he talked about his sister, unprompted, on purpose, it calls into question so many other times when the metaphorical mask broke in a far less dramatic fashion! I don’t even mean this as a shipping thing, but on that note-”
