Všechno to vidím už na dosah. Cítím to. Je to přede mnou, to bezpochyby. Natahuju se, natahuju... ale nedosáhnu.

Jako bych byla přivázaná bungee lanem, ze všech sil ho za sebou táhnu, napínám, natahuju, abych dosáhla na to skvělý přede mnou, ale lano už je na maximu. A čím víc se snažím dotknout něčeho, k čemu prostě teď, takhle, nedosáhnu, tím víc mě to vysiluje, jak lano táhne zpět. Čím víc se napínám, tím větší mám odpor.

A tak si myslím, že to nejlepší a jediný, co můžu udělat, je to pustit. Pustit to všechno z dohledu, podlehnout opatrně odporu lana a vrátit se. Odepnout se. A potom s lehkostí, bez bolesti a křeče, bez tak šílený, nesmyslný námahy, si k tomu zpátky dojít. K tomu všemu, co bylo přede mnou, ale já na to za dané situace nedosáhla.

Pár kroků zpět, abych mohla dojít dál vpřed, než kdy dřív. Někdy je potřeba se toho všeho na okamžik vzdát, abychom se k tomu mohli dostat blíž.

y/n_russell to clear some things up: obviously george isn't always happy with how lando and i present our relationship (online or not) but that doesn't mean he hates lando?! i'm his little sister, it's natural he doesn't always enjoy what lando and i do. nonetheless, lando and george have been friends for ages! this was literally them on our shared holiday in '23! carmen and i were third-wheeling the whole time lol. george can sometimes be a little cold but that's just how he processes things, it doesn't mean he's not supportive of my relationship with lando. please respect that.

and on the subject of spending money

my money anxiety was so bad at one point in college that I had buyer's remorse for buying groceries

you know, something that I literally need to survive

I've been able to calm down significantly since then but I still have issues whenever I need to pay for something expensive and a trick that works for me is that I think of it in terms of how many uses I'm likely to get out of it

for my $200 pair of shoes I could think "if I wear them every day for one year, then it's less than $1 per use". Reframing things like that helps me purchase expensive things that I actually need

and it also helps me purchase expensive things that I want

it's just a trick I've learned, that's all
