How tf is El not already an independent individual who can make her own decisions. Yeah she might not know much when she met Mike but that doesn’t negate the way she feels for him even when she couldn’t put her feelings into words yet. She’s not stupid evidently.

So can other shippers stop claiming she can’t be in a relationship because of her limited knowledge of love?? She can be in a healthy relationship with Mike because she feels happy with him. All this fandom discourse about privacy is making me roll my eyes. I think it is mainly due to fans who joined the fandom post 2016. Taylor in 2013 Alan interview said how she never wants to hide her relationship or outings and just want to live normal life. However, she changed her mind after 2016 with Joe and it mostly worked as their primary residence was in London not NYC and they continously moved rental houses when papz found them. Now, Taylor is back in NYC and everyone knows her address. Unless, she stays at home all days, she will be papped. Expecting your fave to stay at home all the time just so you get to see her for work purposes only seems sadistic. She is allowed to go out with her friends and her man anytime she wants. These fans can limit their online presence if it bothers them but no, it should be her who has to change for them

I just think that fans need to trust Taylor to make her choices and live her life. She knows better than any of us what repercussions any of her decisions have - on her career and, more importantly, her own health and happiness (obviously they're linked). She has a great team who care for her as a person, not a brand and clearly work with her to try and get the balance she wants.

Fans always have the choice about their engagement - whether with music or what she does in her free time. I don't see what the enjoyment is in staying active in an environment/fandom that doesn't make you happy. Taylor's a human being, not a content machine and she's going to do things that we might not do in the same situation ... or that we may not agree with, but it's not our place to try to dictate that to her. So we need to tailor (no pun intended) our own experiences to what we want - and that will likely change over time (just as Taylor's wants/needs will also change).
