ofc he always makes sure to take care of her back, she clearly expresses affection in gift giving and acts of service but she likes quality time & physical touch for herself. which is absolutely okay by his book, he was never even close to being as touch starved as she was at any point whereas she went literal Years without being touched in some way that wasnt negative or hurtful in some form. its overwhelming for her initially & she doesnt really know how to Ask for contact but by god she gets it through him. he's always loved holding her; she just seems to tuck in Perfectly into his arms. if she's maybe getting too overwhelmed with that then he's also good to switch gears to maybe just having a hand on her back or leg or holding her hand bc there's a period right when they first officially get together where she's still trying to level herself out after so much isolation. & he's such a constant reassuring presence, it almost doesn't feel real.

tbh if he wasn't as stable as he was im not sure she would have been able to heal properly after killing her sire, she had spent so long tethered to that man and shaping her life around running from him that she didnt quite know what to Do with herself when he was gone. nines didnt explicitly provide a 'purpose' for her life, he just gave her a place to rest and recuperate while she figured herself out and started to understand the fact that she was finally safe. & that's another thing, her sire might have been a genuine threat to the point she didnt want to risk his safety, but everything else? i doubt there would be any stopping his protection instincts. sometimes thats a concern to her, but again, she needed to be with someone who would be able to be that type of support & strength while she finally released literal decades of repressed trauma & a constant fight or flight state. he cant protect her from her own mind, but he can put a stop to any outside threats. she's never had that. he might have been abandoned by a ton of people in his life, but she would have taken that over the active harm/passive allowance of harm. understanding that, to him, she is someone worth protecting? its a wild learning curve.

im also sure theres some angst to be found in his history of being abandoned + her former commitment fear that evolved into the constant need to Be Around Him but also consider: the amount of comfort he would finally have knowing theres a 99% chance if theyre at home he just has to walk into the next room to see her (assuming she isnt already closer) & how she openly admits to wanting him on all levels, like shes not just gonna be someone else who walks out of his life. absolutely her favourite spot in the world is curls up beside him, like thats where she considers Home to be and ohh man. i think that just stirs smth up in him internally. ofc he cares about a lot of people and a lot of people care about him back but this is Different. in retrospect, knowing what she went through just to be able to sit here with him? even though there was a chance she would be rejected for not being transparent with her situation prior & never fully committing (even if she otherwise would have)? knowing he might be Too Hurt to let her back in and trying it anyway & letting him take the lead on the pacing and decide what it was He needed, that's insane. but she wanted to be with him so badly it was a risk she was willing to take on, which is telling bc her whole thing was caution to the point of being detrimental to herself.

it's like,,, he knows how it feels to have followers. but just like he did with her, she was able to peel back layers and layers of public-facing personality traits & see who he was in the privacy of his own home, and Still wanted him. imo even though he knows how to command a room, he's still not 100% positive what it is about Him Specifically that makes him so special to everyone else aside form being the guy who was in the right place at the right time to make a reputation for himself. but she's like. the one person where he actually feels like he maybe understand why she looks at him that way, & its still a nebulous feeling, but its more Concrete than what he gets from starry-eyed fledglings. kat is not and has never been someone who gives people more credit than they deserve or who blindly follows people. she's harsh and she has to have a Reason to do that.

if theres ever a situation where she has to drink blood outside of her restriction, you know he's gonna be the one to take care of her. she's not a fan of it, she's in pain and she feels gross and doesn't want him to Watch the whole episode, but why would he be put off by it? they both came from big families with plenty of kids, the threshold for being grossed out by that stuff is really goddamn high for them both lmao. also she looks completely Miserable curled up on the floor like that, if she needs someone to hold her hair and rub her back a bit then okay! she will have that its what she deserves! she's gonna resist a little at first bc she was always the one doing that for her sisters being the oldest with no mother/mother figure for most of their lives but like with a lot of stuff he does, she will relax and melt into the touch after a bit and start to physically decompress. if she's up for up she will also be carried to whichever soft surface she desires, no questions asked.

First impression: i first saw him in tfp and i didnt think too much of him, which was probably bc he got very little screen time for awhile (until the ep he takes robot steroids). the extent of my thoughts were that he was just a grumpy old guy who definitely had some Shit with optimus going on

Impression now: i love him. i love him. holy fucking shit i love him. yes he’s a grumpy old man but he’s so so much more. mtmte issue 40 broke me. i definitely liked him a lot before then but im pretty sure that issue was what made him my all-time favorite bot. he’s irritable and rude and short-tempered, and yet he cares so so so deeply for the crew. the way he’s able to tell what his friends need with just a short conversation, if even that- he loves that crew. he really, really does. he has a gruff way of showing it for the most part, but he can be so so gentle too. without love there is no meaning.

Favorite moment: when he’s talking to ten in his secret room and engaging with him sincerely and asking him about ten’s figures, and when he asks him if the ones he made are his favorites, and then softly adds that they’re his too......ouaaahghhghghahgh

Idea for a story: ratchet and knock out having to spend extended time together, like being stuck in a survival situation or something. they got a little bit of that in the mlp comics, but like... a serious comic where they have to try to get along i think would be hilarious but also a great opportunity to explore both of their characters.

Unpopular opinion: iiiiii dont......fully get the appeal of ratchet/drift.....im sorry........ i always got a different vibe from their interactions, and still struggle 2 view it as romantic even after finishing the series. i dont think theres anything wrong them at all and objectively i think their interactions at the end of the comic are so sweet, but its ultimately not for me i think

Favorite relationship: ratchet/optimus.....im sorry for being basic........ tfp is definitely to blame but in general i just think two guys falling in love when theyre young but then drifting apart during the war, yet their love managing to survive until they can be together again when its over... i just think thats nice... senior citizens in love

This has probably been said before and written about before but the tragedy of Miraak and the Last Dragon Born being alive at the same time and therefore Miraak being the only one currently alive that could possibly understand exactly how LBD is feeling and thinking but they don't get a chance in cannon to really talk to each other. LBD could have incredibly interesting dialog with him about their similarities but Miraak can't leave if he doesn't kill them and they can't allow him to enslave the world they have been ordained by the gods to protect. By all means they should have been allowed to be on the same side but once again the characters that are by all rights demi gods are still just playthings to higher beings. And that's one thing both of them hate and if you live long enough you will start trying to find ways to change it.

On the flip side its interesting to imagine LBD being violently opposed to Miraaks ideology, they have similar situations but LBD has found joy and love and created a life and family of their own in Tamriel, imagine a dragon born that loves Tamriel and the people in it with all their heart and even if there wasn't a prophecy or a magic blood thing they still would have tried to save this world with the same ferocity anyway. Even LBDs who are immoral to their core, ones that chose to be violent assasins and thieves and split their soul into a thousand pieces, have people they want to protect. If that means killing Alduin, so be it, if that means battling the only other person who will ever understand them, then they'll do it.

Miraak didn't have that i dont think. And therefore it doesn't matter what happens to the world, he want to be free of shackles hes had since before he was even born. Maybe the Last Dragon born really tries to help him, maybe they try to show compassion and get him out, but it ends up being for nothing, hes killed anyway. They couldn't save him. They leave and end up back where they had been reading the final book. Devastated in every sense of the word and all they can do is look to whoever accompanied them and break down.

Weird headcannons about lycanthropy no one asked for.

Mostly about lycanthropy and the weirdness that comes with being a werewolf, its more than likely slightly lore-unfriendly but these are for fun so who cares.

-lets start with the obvious, they got some weird wolf and dog mannerisms, eat more meat than usual, they growl instinctively at people they get a bad vibe from, that sort of thing.

-theres also some things that carry over into their non-beast form, sharper teeth, better hearing and scent, the companions (at least in the circle) can probably hear Heimskr right outside their place all the time and are on the verge of snapping

-i imagine they're a bit more hairy than most, which is like, a bit more common, but Kahjit probably get more wild and faster growing fur, argonians grow more feathery type stuff, and non-beast races just in general more hairy

-folks with beast blood are always just much stronger than they look, like even if they look skinnier they still are much stronger than they have any right to be

-they don't get cold as easy, and Kahjit lycanthropes can feel almost too hot even when its chilly sometimes.

-werewolf blood tastes bad to vampires, like flat out, it tastes sour or like rotten meat

-kahjit and argonian werewolves are SO weird though, the mannerisms of kahjit get super thrown into whack because on one hand the tail moving COULD be bad, but then again, it could be they're just excited, the hearing is a huge issue too

-argonians lycanthrope forms being more feathery and still retaining their horns (maybe they become a bit more gnarled with it)

-lycanthrope nightmares are way more vivid than the nightmares of others, and what happens in them is extremely varied from person to person and its tough for them to tell if it was real or not at first, some get used to it, some don't.

-when the dragonborn is a werewolf its their roar that throws people off most, it is way louder than it has any right to be, even the companions are a little taken aback by it at first, on the bright side its much more effective at striking fear into people

-> so yeah. fuck invisibills parents. the reason he talks in 3rd person a lot is because he was trying to bond with his family over their hatred of him. "invisibill sure does suck! i wish we didn't have to deal with him." yeah it was a dissociation method

-> he got his powers bc he was so alone and wished he was invisible.

-> but hey!! he's better now!! as soon as he was able to, he moved as far away from his family as he could. he ended up in fair city, and started his transition there. a couple years later he went to villain school so he could do something with his life, and thats present day!!

-> now he is a HUGE people pleaser and stuff, but that's another headcanon for another day. yeah he needs attention because he was so incredibly deprived of it and now that he's not living with his parents, he can just ask/beg for it.

-> he's autistic, and it went entirely untreated as a child. no therapy, no diagnosis, no nothing. getting diagnosed as an adult was really really important to him. his parents were some of those bitches who couldnt handle having an autistic child. gross asses. i wish they just. didnt have kids.

-> he grew up not being allowed to stim a lot bc he was told not to. so to compensate he is just a silly little lad now.

-> his dad is one of those dudes who owns like. a really big corporation. his mom is a really famous actress. all of the other children in the house got offered jobs in the company and some even had extensive acting lessons, but invisibill? nothing lol.

marius is a fast learner, but drumming is a different language. on the physical aspect, it's WAY MORE FEROCIOUS than painting. when marius holds a paintbrush and drags it across the canvas, his movements are gentle and careful. drummer girl hands him the drumstick and shes like "okay give me a few beats" and marius taps the drum like a feather dropping onto a pillow. drummer girl has never laughed this hard in her LIFEEEEEE.

additionally, drummer girl learns that marius has NO SENSE OF BEAT, TEMPO, OR RHYTHM WHATSOEVER. if she had talked to the other musicians marius pined for, she would learn that marius has no skill concerning all things musical altogether. PAINTINGS DONT MAKE SOUND, OKAY!!!! so drummer girl is tapping a beat and marius fumbles with the drumsticks, losing whatever beat there was (there wasnt any to begin with). he tries to make up for his lack of skill by doing a flashy trick he saw drummer girl do---twirling the drumsticks---and he ends up sending the drumstick careening into his face

honest to god, he is not doing this on purpose. marius von hagen would rather eat soil than not be seen as the coolest person in the world

Okay this takes place in 2019

Emma and Paul are together, emam ofc suggests they going to her cooky reclusive biology professor

This isn't the apocalypse Henry excepted and he doesn't like that, but hey he still prepped for an apocalypse so he's safe

Since this isn't a musical apocalypse and it'd probably be pretty hard to get money off of someone during a zombie apocalypse, so he's currently not trying to murder anyone

He let's Emma and Paul stay with him

But then Emma is like "hey you have room do you think my nephew, brother in law and his gf could stay with us? The gf's a nurse she could be helpful!!"

He eventually agrees

Then Paul's like "hey my coworkers are kid dumb asses there's know way they're surviving an apocalypse on their own can they stay with us? And also one of them has daughter and the other has a little brother (cough cough HCB) them too?"

And then Hidgens ends up agreeing to that, and then Alice and HCB are ofc both like "wait hold on our friends-" (ie: Deb, Ziggs, Grace Chasity (this would be HCB's friends not Alice's ofc), Cineplex kid (because I said so) Ethan (also Tony, my beloved) Lex and Hannah (once again, because I said so, do we seem them interact? No, but they're friends now)

And Hidgens at this point is like "well fucking fine I guess so! Bring em here we have a bunch of ppl already so why not!!"

All of these people, living under one roof (albeit a very big roof) is ofc chaos!

I'd imagine ppl kinda stay in groups a bit tho. Like the teens stay with each other for the most part. CCRP gang hangs out together most. Ect.

Still, very chaotic. The teens (really mostly Deb, Ethan and Lex) causing plenty of trouble. The adults all being dumb asses. Plenty of arguments between Bill and Ted ofc. And probably several arguments between the nerdy prudes (grace, hcb and cineplex) and the other teens. Probably one fight between Alice and Ziggs but it gets settled quickly and they figure everything out and clear the air and become good friends.

I mean you think this amount of ppl, particularly this certain group of ppl, are going to be well organized durning the apocalypse? Hell no!

Hidgens is the only one that actually understands shit about apocalypse, he's the one who prepared! (once again: although for the wrong one) so he's constantly having to be like "no we can't do that that's dangerous!!" Emma, Alice and Lex are the only other really competent ones.

Hidgens ofc spends his time trying to find a cure, Emma helps him. If life ever goes back to normal she has an automatic A in his class for the rest of college just for going through this shit and helping him.

Tom, Bill, and Tony are the dads. They're obviously dealing with the kids. But the do mainly try and focus on their own kid because... That their kid ofc they care about them the most. But they try to take care of the other kids too.

Bill has a rough time connecting with anyone besides Alice. But Grace was always nice to him church so there's that. And ofc Alice has gf, a gf he doesn't like a ton but now he's very much stuck with so he might as well try and get along with. They eventually do.

Tom ofc like I said cares most about Tim. But after him the next he cares most about are CaliforMIA gang. Lex and Ethan were his students (I know it's not confirmed that Ethan was one of students but he is now bc I want him to be), probably his favorite students, and that Lex's little sister who's only a few years older than Tim, ofc he's also gonna care a lot about them.

Tony also cares alot about Lex and Hannah, that's his son's gf and her little sister, once again, ofc he'll care about them alot too.

Becky absolutely cares about all the kids a ton!! She's a nurse who works with kids, she's very nurturing and mother like. She cares for and about them all fairly equally but Tim is her favorite because... Well that's her bf's son and she's known him the longest out of any of the kids ofc. Lex and Hannah end up loving Becky alot because she's so much kinder and sweet than their biological mother.

Before the apocalypse Ted took care of HCB, now he's still taking care of him ofc. Ted doesn't want to be taking care of any of the kids besides his brother. He wants to drink and party and stuff. I mean it's the apocalypse so why not? But he ends up taking care of Grace and Cineplex quite a bit too. This happens not bc others aren't taking care of them, they are being taken by the other plenty well (like I said the dads and Becky all care for all the kids they just have favorites) but because they see HCB going to Ted for almost everything and Ted doing stuff for/helping out HCB so they're like "well okay guess we'll go to him too" He's not happy about it. He already has to deal with his obnoxious little nerdy prude bother and now there's two more? But part of them reminds him a lot of himself when he was younger. Maybe that's why he doesn't like them, or also maybe that's why secretly likes them a ton?

Hidgens, Emma, Ted, Tom and Lex are the ones that go out most often because they're the only who are really able to fight off the zombies and stay safe a stuff (okay Ted not so much as the others but they bring him anwyay cause Henry's like "he looks like he can use gun or something" and Emma, Paul, Bill and Charlotte are all like "this is a horrible idea don't bring him" but they do anwyay. He doesn't kill any of the others so hey why not keep bringing him? Besides if something goes wrong they can use him as bait or throw him to the zombies to get them off the rest of the group /hj)

Other ppl in Hatchetfield exist of course and are out they're trying to survive. Sam and Pamela are some of the first to die that's karma bitch

Lex and Hannah were living with Pamela ofc when the apocalypse hit, the girls wanted to go somewhere safer but Pam wouldn't let them, then one day she went out and got turned into a Zombie, the girls quickly took that as their chance to escape and they went to Tony and Ethan and then ofc ended up at Hidgens'

Charlotte was with Sam before he turned into a Zombie and then when he did she ran to Ted & HCB and stayed with them before they ended up at Hidgens'

Gary and MIAH are together and trying to survive on they're own. Sylvia, Melissa, and Greenpeace Girl end up meeting each other and decide to gang up together and they're badasses. Dan and Donna are two focused on the news and finding out if Peanuts is surving (which yes, Peanuts, (as well as Papa Ed.. At least for a while) are doing fine) and they die pretty quickly. Holloway and Duke are doing great, Holloway's a witch so yeah she's good and ofc Duke is with her so he's good too.

Lucy is in Hatchetfield and she's already in the woods vibing with Chumby before the apocalypse hits (THAM doesn't happen in this universe and instead Lucy ends up finding Chumby own her own because uh??? Reasons??? Idk bc I said so) the two of them have no idea there's a zombie apocalypse. The Paul clones take this apocalypse as they're chance to escape, Paul23 leading the uprising ofc, they don't kill Paul and take his place tho, instead it's more like "there's a zombie apocalypse? Oh fuck yeah!" *escapes* "oh theres a zombie apocalypse oh no-" some try to stay in a group and live together, some try to go out their own. There's now a bunch of random Pauls and Paul zombies around town. The main gang do end up seeing the clones and they're all just kind like "uhhh wtf???" except Paul, he's absolutely freaking out, the clones kinda are just "uhh haha how do we explain this".

Spoiler alert: the world isn't destroyed. How? Not totally sure yet but probably through Hidgens managing to find a cure and time travel. Emdriod has traveled back in time to replace Emma, but oopsie she didn't travel back far enough so she can't kill Emma in Guatemala, so she goes to Hatchetfield in hopes she can kill Emma when no ones looking and just replace her then, but oh no there's apocalypse so thats a much bigger issue. She survives easily, she's strong af, doesn't need food, all that jazz. She and Emma do meet each other and it's another "wtf?" "how do I explain this?" situation. But Emdriod lies ofc and kinda explains what happened but said that she accidentally time travelled and leaves out the whole wanted to kill her part. Now the Emdriod has found Emma she does try to kill her, that's awfully hard to do tho considering Emma is literally always with a group of people, and Emdriod doesn't want to just kill Emma right in front of everyone bc then they'll all hate her and her goal isn't to just kill Emma it's too replace her. She end up giving up and she runs into Paul 23 and they bond of my doubles of someone and wanted to kill that somoen at first and then fall in love and kill zombies together :)

Ohh uhh other ships: Paulkins, Lexthan, Barneston, Potseed (Alice x Deb) ofc. Charted, Obnoxious Teens (HCB x Cineplex Kid) oh and ofc Holloduke. Uhh Bill x being okay for once, Ted x probably not dying for once (not too sure about that one yet) Hidgens x not actually trying to murder someone for once

Wait wait I just got idea: the zombie apocalypse occurs BECAUSE of Hidgens, he tries too bring back the working boys (remember his original backstory with accidentally killing them and stuff??)

- after ALWAYS bumping into each other and apologizing before making small talk, armin makes the first move

- you find out that hes a humanities major, and wants to be a psychologist some day
