so. theres this place in virgina, its the north anna nuclear generating station, right? it was a 4.5 star rating with 54 reviews.

pretty cool! i love nuclear power! this station powers something like half the homes in the state or some shit. pretty poggers! now the intersting bit. again, it has 54 reviews! thats kinda a lot, especially for, yknow. a power plant. as expected, most of them are just star ratings, no text, standard, then you get the text ones, some pretty standard like this one

whats so special about november 15 2021? so, while my digging hasnt been able to reveal the actual source of this, the earliest mention of this is the screenshot above though i cant get a specific date on the review bc of how google works. the other two earliest mentions, besides other reviews, are an ifunny meme

at this point you get a bunch of reviews like these that seem to be people gladly joining in on the joke

now obviously, the reactor did not melt down. i assume part of this is spurred by fears set into motion because of the plant shutting down for a period of time in 2011 after a 5.8 (i think) magnitude earthquake sparkes an 'unusual event' which is the lowest rating an event can have in the us for nuclear powerplants. it basically means something happened but nothing harmful, from what it seems, all the safety stuff worked as intended! the other thing that may have spurred it on is that in 2021 the plant was like, almost 50 years ago. the average lifespan for a nuclear powerplant is 40-60 years, so people were and are a little antsy that it has yet to be shut down. the plant, however, from all the stuff i read, has been licensed to stay active until its around 80 barring any incidents! now a small event did happen around that timeframe, but it was of course, not a meltdown of any kind, and it happened on novmeber 10th. if youre curious, link here so at this point this seems to just be people being #sillay in the reviews for fun. some just toss in november 15th as if it get it keyworked in the commonly mentioned feature, which is curious. im sure it has something to do with this strange joke about a meltdown occurring. all these reviews are kinda the same so im skipping one, but shoutout to the review that tosses in the the icecream machine worked. love the mcdonalds shade. so then we get a new interesting one,

Alright I did it Ranking the human characters from Primal Rage: The Avatars from least to most mischaracterized to me personally:

--Kaze and Keena They're kinda just genetic "protagonist hero" and "girl" I do like a lot of moments they had overall and dont think their characters are bad for them Keena having a crush on Kaze wasn't terrible since it obviously wasn't reciprocated but I did HATE the long bit of Keena fretting about "never feeling the touch of a man" she's 15 bro she's not thinking about that pls fuck off I do think it was lacking a lot in Keena being a child (and they kinda cop-out of doing that by saying she like matured by magic after becoming an Avatar which is lame) I don't really have that much to say in general about Kaze. I thought he was fine for being the "main character" The other characters joking about him being WAY too loyal to Blizzard (to the point of joking he wanted to fuck him) was honestly really funny tho

--Shank hard for me to fault much cause like he isnt in the book a whole lot? but I do wish they'd done more with him… he's just kinda there, does his thing, and then goes away Spoilers kinda but it was really weird that he gave a false name when he met them and then like Keena just out of no where was like "what's your real name?!" and then Malyssa knew who he was?? which I guess was the point that he hid his name so they wouldn't realize he was Chaos but they also never brought up that Malyssa knew who he was?

--Sinjin on the one hand I think Sinjin's character was kinda fun. He is sassy and a bit quippy (really like his line when all the gods got together and were roaring at each other and he just says "one big happy family…" its just so silly of him I love it) They made it a point of how good he was at rallying troops behind him and like giving these passionate speeches which is kinda fun for him to be charismatic like that but it really feels like character moments that should have been for Arik?? The book didn't even bother bringing up his want to die (I dont remember if it even brought up he was immortal? I dont think they did) that annoyed me but REALLY annoyed me when he had the line while giving a speech to the soldiers and said "we have the will to live!" made me yell HE WOULD NOT FUCKING SAY THAT!! his personal motives are just kinda dropped after a while too? like he started out playing both sides (the other Avatars and Necrosan) but that doesnt really go anywhere and once he gets the powers of being an avatar it seems like he's going to betray the Avatars because he doesnt want to release Diablo again but it just never happens? they have a lead in like he's planning something but Tor and Arik show up and he just never tries any kind of backup plan or anything? he's just fully helping the Avatars to beat Necrosan and release the gods

--Arik, Tor, Xiao Ming Im lumping all 3 together because they are honestly interchangeable in the book you could just swap the names and it wouldnt make a difference because they arent given enough character to stand out. which is a real shame! especially for Arik and Xiao Ming because I think they have a lot of interesting character possibilities with what we get from the game:

Arik is a fallen prince who wants to rebuild his kingdom and in his game ending it says how he became a greatly loved king who was known for his compassion and wisdom. He establishes a new age of peace and prosperity for humanity and its a shame the book just doesn't touch on that at all I mean they mention he's a prince but not any of his wants to help humanity

Xiao Ming is an arrogant fighter who challenged the god Slashfang to a fight and lost. Shashfang doesnt kill him tho and instead makes him his avatar in his ending he rechallenges Slashfang who says instead of a fight Xiao Ming must hunt him down He fails at this as well but over his time traveling gains a sense of humility and peace

So I always pictured his relationship with Slashfang being more bitter? it says how Xiao Ming is "disfigured" by his earlier fight with Slashfang and I dont think he was really a willing follower?? Slashfang is more trying to teach him a lesson in the book tho he's just a guy, given no sense of arrogance or anything he's just there and hanging out with Slashfang like whatever. it did annoy me too cause there was a bit where Xiao Ming and Keena think Kaze betrayed them and Keena is the one going off about what a jerk he is and shit and Xiao Ming is the one like "no he wouldnt do that would he?" when I think it should have been switched with Xiao Ming shit talking Kaze for betraying them

I did laugh when the book out right said Tor and Armadon were boring lol (Malyssa is the one to say it and I was just like "girl you get it they are so boring") but honestly that made me more sad then anything cause I had hoped to get some character ideas for Tor especially but nope he's just kinda around and is a normal dude? Armadon mentions him being afraid but never of what? like what is that suppose to mean my guy??

--Malyssa ok so like… she is my fav character in the book but also the one that bothers me the most ffff I liked how much pull she had in the story playing both sides the whole time, betraying people and then talking her way back onto their side (even tho most of the time it made no fucking sense what she was trying to do or how she was able to make the others work with her again) I just liked how important she was

what I didnt like was how much of her character was "breasted boobily down the stairs" they for some reason made her centuries old but keeping herself youthful by drinking the blood of virgin men after sleeping with them?? like okay (I dont at all mind that she liked to get it like good for her! they just kinda made it weird cause she always thinking about it) her not wearing much clothes was brought up a LOT and just talking about her "supple body" I get it she's sexy idk it just really derailed me every time and made me roll my eyes. they didnt at all bring up any of her lore from the game which also really bothered me and I think was the main reason I hated her being portrayed as she was in the book

in the game she's literally a slave to Vertigo as are all her people (magically bound to serve Vertigo) and Malyssa wants to free them she ends up tricking Vertigo and rewritting a spell that Vertigo thought would free herself into one that would free Malyssa and her people and then she leads her people with kindness and allows them to pursue freedom and happiness

which is like so good??? thats part of why I like Malyssa so much cause she's bound to one of the big bads of the series yet she herself isnt evil and wants to do good (at least for her people) I just love that for her and it feels like such a shame the book reduced her to just "sexy evil lady" (not that thats not a fun character type but just not for Malyssa I think)

anyway I know the book was just a silly thing written to promote a fighting game about giant dinosaurs so I dont hold it to being like the most amazing piece of literature ever written. It would have had to have been a lot longer to touch on all the characters lore (and honestly thinking of it now if we had instead gotten a series of books each focusing on the individual characters with a slowly intertwining story would have been amazing!!) at the end of the day I had fun reading it! But did just want to whinge a bit about the characters (because I love them a lot hhh)

It’s split in half and the top half is called Ben+steroids and the points he made are: -Ben goes to rehab and the season revolves around that to try and make him less boring, -Ben gets Michael into steroids but that’s just dumb, cmon (his name) you can do better than that, -Ben ODs and we are back to debbie hating him, -he loses his job and itll be embarrassing for me to watch -they use this to write off the actor but then Mike becomes annoying again, and my all time favorite -it was just a trick bc in reality what happened was Benny gave that guy a lecture about Buddha. So that was all on the ben part. The Britin part is him trying to work out his previous theories: -I don’t think the reverse sugar daddy thing will happen, i mean he has a 30k worth car. -Justin will wake up one day and look up and see that goatee and dump him immediately, -okay so Justin is not gonna cheat with Brian so maybe Brian does something really cool which leads to Justin realizing he is the one, -or Ethan does something even more boring than simply existing and Justin has a wake up call. -maybe Bri can get him to do more posters for work and thats how they connect again through the love of sex and art, -BRIAN ADMITS THAT HES IN LOVE AND FUCKING SAYS IT! With his full chest! And makes it romantic but not too romantic so that he doesnt freak out. And in a very very small letters he wrote in the bottom ‘it’s still fuck Ethan till the day I perish!’

So that’s what the new addition on the wall is now. Dramatic and dumb just like he is.

Also i genuinely cannot believe you have people coming to you about the fire house thing he said. I will admit that even I have had moments where i go ‘damn, he just spilled some tea’ while he’s talking, meanwhile this idiot is 60% pain pills while he is blowing my mind with random shit he says.

The funny thing is that that fire house is kinda our “inside joke” minus the joke part. When he was little and i did something bad that i would think my parents would kill me for, he would calm me down by saying ‘the house is not on fire’ basically trying to reassure that no matter what, all is okay. So it kinda became our thing and then every once in a while he would do something dumb (like get rainbow hair) and i would get a call/text that just said ‘the fucking house is burning the fuck down!/the bitch is on fire and it’s blazing!’ And that was basically a ‘take this as a warning that I pissed them off’. And when i mentioned that the next day, this dumbass couldn’t even fully remember what he said. He remembered it all except the water part which is annoying cause that was the part i wanted him to clarify. I swear to God we are (kinda) functional human beings. It just doesn’t look like it right now.

arguably it did more to harm gamzee than equius, since now they gotta deal with being even more socially isolated, and getting chased into hiding in the vents and/or locked in a fridge, all because a guy was too into getting choked. meanwhile, equius gets to bother a bunch of nepeta and aradiabot ghosts

sure, gamzee doesn't have to deal with him on the meteor anymore, but they probably could've also accomplished that by going "with the powers invested in me as a subjuggulator or whatever, i order you to never speak to me or pull that weird shit with anybody else again. go sit in your room for 100 sweeps. bye" and then nepeta doesn't have to get traumatized and dead

i'm not sure if gamzee's actually bothered by equius's weird shit, though? they talked to each other on a daily basis and it didn't seem to occur to gamzee to ignore his messages or tell him to cut it out. is it like a "well i don't really return his feelings, but we all gotta get a kismesis someday" thing?

metatextually, i think their dynamic and the culmination of it in murderstuck might be reflective of hussie's (at least then, circa act 5?) attitudes about mlm, in a similar way to gamzee kissing tavros's head and expressing an interest in doing the same to dave's. attraction from one boy to another is treated as gross and ridiculous, esp. with one of the parties racialized as they are. see also bro strider's handcuffed mr t and chuck norris puppets

i mean i dont entirely disagree, i think there was not canon intention of Equius' death being a revenge narrative. that's why it's in perenthesis and is a very short section, i was joking more than anything on that particular post. though it is how i like to read it. for uh. reasons.

and whether it was really effective as revenge imo just isnt relevent. there was far too much happening, and too much awareness on gamzee's end regarding the lot of them being characters/knowing what was 'destined' to go down that i think there is not much reason to... not? when your only friend is dead and basically everyone else left in the world has in no uncertain terms basically spent every conversation youve ever had with them telling you they hate you and think youre stupid and a failure.

similarly i think gamzees feelings about equius and what he does, especially what we gleam about this PRIOR to murderetuck, arent actually all that relevent because gamzee doesnt "mind" any of the abuses thrown their way up to that point. there are times during the convos with equius that gamzee is imo pretty explicitly uncomfortable (lots of 'UuUhHhHh's, their little 'woah what' when equius tell gamzee to use people for gratification, etc.) but gamzee's whole Thing is passivity and not thinking about stuff that upsets them.

and wrt the homophobia, youre absolutely spot on. gamzee is the first troll to actually show explicit mlm attraction, the first character in general to do so without it being a joke in context, i believe. trolls dont have a concept of heterosexuality but metatextually theyre still expected to enact and uphold it, and punished for not doing so.

he keeps getting closer. i laugh it off he laughs too. he keeps going out with 2 other people that came to visit for "smoke breaks", he comes back in saying that "they thought we looked like a couple the way we look at eachother ahaha"

somethings off? hes been saying this a lot to me, saying that others think we are a thing and then asking me if "we arent one or are we?". I always answer with a laugh and an "obviously not". and also i dont really know what it means to 'look at eachother' like that because a) no eye contact and b) no prolonged staring on my part, thats all his doing

up to this point i always thought it was a joke obviously but god damn that night?

that night he got genuinely upset. he seemed really jealous when i was talking about other guys i was hanging out with. "haha why dont you spend time like that with me?" "why dont you call me x?" "why arent we doing y together?" all the time.

it gets later, we drank a bit (i really dont drink a lot i dont like the taste of alcohol) and he keeps leaning onto me, holding my arm when someone outside was approaching the door saying that "hes a bit scared :(" things like that. recording me singing, touching me when laughing, i can always blame it on the alcohol but with all the things that have been happening its really glaring isnt it?

its time for me to leave because its getting late and at this point we were alone except for his little brother who jokingly kept implying that "me and the guy should kiss because were both gay" which i. also laughed off and declined wholeheartedly lmao. something was definitely off and i needed to get out?

the car parks. i give his little brother a handshake to get him off me because he was really clingy (but also funny as hell oh my god) and head for the car.

"hey, no goodbye for me? :("

i wasnt planning to not say goodbye i was just. in a rush to get his brother off me lol.

so he comes closer and gives me a hug, fully aware that i dont like hugs a lot and takes me into his arms! really close! uh oh.

i move my face and look down because hes REALLY close and i am uncomfortable at this point.

he was so close to my face that my dad thought we were gonna kiss.

i head for the car and wave one last time before telling my dad about what happened and he also agrees that he definitely has a little crush.

the thing is? i dont feel the same bro

i like him as a friend, as i said i enjoyed my time in summer with him endlessly and i like spending time with him in general but feelings are so hard

i am autistic and i have been using the label aromantic as an umbrella term for my attraction for quite a long time now.

its not that i am 100% against the idea of a relationship, but i just dont understand romantic feelings (i dont think i have ever had a crush on someone that isnt a celebrity or a fictional character), i think im just as happy on my own, (pathetic warning:) i feel like im just gonna end up hurting someone and/or being hurt AND i just cant believe that anyone feels that way for me because i think of myself as unlikeable.

all of these mean: yeah! relationships are cool in theory but i dont really get feelings! autism is playing a role here too im sure of it but what am i gonna do about that lol

either way, i really dont want him to get the wrong idea.

because of my new touchy friends ive been feeling really weird and anxious about topics like these. on some days i get stomach troubles and terrible anxiety thinking about being held or touched again.

-just in general i feel like the player isn't the only one controlling kris... like yes the player forced kris to do what happened in the snowgrave route but AT THE SAME TIME idk it feels like there's someone else too. just because of the terrifying voice i suppose. and also the jerky movement kris does every time they get their soul out? unless there's another reason for it... maybe getting your soul out means you walk weird lol

-i threw away the ball of junk (which i already tried in ch1) and this time the game was like "ARE YOU SURE BC THIS IS A BAD IDEA" and kris felt bitter :'( (it deletes all your items in the dark world)

-i uh fucked up and skipped the susie+noelle scene bc listen last time ralsei mentionned seeing what susie is doing we missed some PRIMO LORE. turns out it just makes you skip the scene and you dont get anything new. welp

-speaking of ralsei well you know. he exists. but im stuck on him going "i just wonder what being ralsei-like even is...?" ralsei my dude there's so much i could say about this. do you feel like you can't be ralsei-like because you feel like you have to be asriel-like

-kris definitely has a connection with the big red door in the city, judging by what the kids say they probably went there... i feel like this place's dark world will be the Final Dungeon you KNOW some shit happened there. also the sounds you hear when you go there is the phone dark world call's sound slowed down? AND AFTER SNOWGRAVE APPARENTLY YOU CANT HEAR IT ANYMORE? HUWAH?

-to go back to kris it's still so interesting to figure out who they are based on how they act/people mention them. like kris shaking the ferris wheel car? yeah makes sense i can imagine a pranking kid do this. kris' dance? yeah thats a little silly but i can buy it. doing cool anime poses? well i dunno this doesnt line up PERFECTLY but sure. BUT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN SNOWGRAVE... especially >proceed like that is such a weird thing that i can't imagine them doing, but i can't completely see the "player" doing either (compare with going to sans -which kris doesnt know- and going "SANS!" because of course the player would know sans), like THATS one of the reasons i feel like there's someone else in there. the weird robotic merciless actions. if im going super meta it feels like there'd be someone else like writing the choices into existence for us to pick you know? gaster probably? god i need to read more gaster theories i completely sidestepped the gaster shit bc i wasnt interested. anyway just spitballing

Gale Reviews: ML Season 4 Episode 22 (100TH episode) Ephermeral

For this review I will not being doing my standard Live Reaction, But I will be going over points in the episode and how I thought about them. Then giving my review

-Bob Roth's akumatization and Akuma were hilarious and honestly I would have LOVED for it to have been its own episode

-Gabriel just GTFO to go akumatize someone is so Gabriel at this point.

-I really like the fight scene with Moolak. It was creative, and I enjoyed how they got around it despite Adrien not being there.

-I am sad that the combination was NOT 0420 or 6969

-Su Han just shows up whenever he feels like it. And honestly he is kind of reasonable in this case. (I know i am shocked I feel the same)

-Okay so Luka, YOU KNOW WHO CHAT NOIR IS ALREADY! This would have been a great time to come clean and admit it. But no, instead you let Marinette (because you f***ing know its her) come up with this deceptive plan to find out his identity. Not gonna lie, DICK MOVE bro.

-Also, I am a bit disappointed in Marinette here. Now it is in character for her to come up with such a CONVOLUTED plan to find out Chat noir's identity. But its really deceptive. (In a way it is kind of like what Chat noir did knowing Ladybug is marinette in chat blanc. But the difference is that Ladybug premeditated finding out and then blatantly hiding it and resetting.

-Simpleman literally told her NOT to over-complicate things. She could have just told him "Hey, Su Han needs to know your identity." and thats it. Chat noir would have listened. But then there wouldnt be an episode, so okay sure.

-Now, This is a nit pick, but I think Alix should have been the one Marinette trusted with this plan, not Luka. Because Alix doesnt have a timer. She could easily just go back in time and just TELL her past self. Marinette already knows future alix can "keep a secret"

-Ladybug laughing when chat noir told her he was Adrien agreste SEEMS more hurtful than it is. I mean, WE KNOW he is serious. But think of it logically. It would be like telling someone you were a famous celebrity. And Chat noir does joke around, so Ladybug laughing is totally valid.

-Adrien's reaction to finally telling Ladybug (KITTY HAS THE ZOOMIES)

-Plagg is like "This s*** stinks" cause Plagg ALWAYS KNOWS S*** IS GONNA GO DOWN! (also this is the only call back to chat blanc )

-So Marinette/Ladybug going through her process of finding out Adrien is Chat noir is the best part of this episode. Because she had mentally separated them in her head. She now has to figure out which side of him is the real him. And she figures out that its actually both.

-Now I bagged on Luka earlier but his talk with Marinette was actually a good thing and I commend him for that.

-But also he is kind of an a**hole here because he f***ing knows why Marinette is going through all this.

-The scene when she reveals herself to Adrien. That was the best scene. I did wish for a kiss scene but this was Masterfully done.

-Marinette and Adrien Post-reveal but before dating was DELICIOUS.

-Now Gabriel figuring out Adrien was Chat noir based on ONE overheard conversation? I call bulls***. Gabriel doesnt pay attention to his son enough for it to make sense.

-Okay now for the elephant in the room. Everyone talked about how the "RING CONTAINS THE AMOK" and that the scene when Adrien gets akumatized is 100% proof that Adrien is a sentimonster. I see that interpretation, but one scene came to mind

BECAUSE ABUSE!

-And please do remember that Adrien was ALONE with his father and emotionally shook. So Gabriel reigning him in without Ladybug/marinette there to help him resist maybe the valid reason for giving in.

-I was disappointed by adrien's akuma power. But it also was such a perfect way to defeat ladybug.

-Shadow noir looked actually intimidating

-Seeing Akuma adrien appologize was heartbreaking

-Now why did marinette message Luka? It would have made more sense for her to message Alya. Unless something happens that Makes Marinette not trust Alya (but I dont think that happened)

-So I really love the explanation on HOW the wish works. It basically recreates the universe. For something so small it can re-arrange EVERYTHING. And thats REALLY COOL.

-Sass using his powers is insane. Also WHY NOT USE BUNNYX!? I am sorry but this is bulls***. It would have been so much less dangerous with a person using Bunnyx.

-Seeing a past Ladybug was kind of fun.

-I am glad we got the whole space transformation and all, but I really dont get how fixing a satellite fixed everything.

-(Also is chat noir Not gonna question why Luka was on the other line when it was supposed to be just Him and Ladybug talking?)

-So basically no one but sass knows what happened thus making this episode NOT adrien's chat blanc which I personally think is stupid.

-Su han getting chewed out by Ladybug and then him just being like "Actually you are great" feels a bit... Anticlimactic. But not story breaking.

I am VERY mixed on this episode

On one hand, the emotional moments are very fun. Marinette figuring it all out is one of my favorite moments for her all season.

But on the other hand... I feel REALLY disappointed.

There are no real emotional stakes.

All of the 'Revelations' are not permanent. And this becomes just another reason why "THEY CANT KNOW EACHOTHER'S" identities.

Also Luka is such a central part of this episode and he is basically at fault for this.

This isnt just salt, I mean it. He, as a character, had at LEAST 3 opportunities from stopping this from going south. I am not gonna say he is an awful person, but saying this isn't even PARTIALLY his fault is F***ING SNAKE S***.

"BUT HE SAVED THE DAY" he did. But he also could have AVOIDED all of this if he had just done one of 2 things.

1. Told Marinette he knew who chat noir was earlier (and I mean this at ANYTIME AFTER WISHMAKER

2. Just reset time immediately and just said he knew.

3. Heck, even telling her after she decided not to go through with the plan. (still would have had damage done, but it would have been out of his hands at that point.

I am not saying Luka is the biggest d-bag in that situation (That is still Shadowmoth followed by Su-Han). But he gets the bronze medal.

So if I had to give this episode an honest rating.

7/10

I think I expected too much from this episode, but aside from that the emotional highs are still very well done. But there are like ZERO repercussion.
