So I know this isn't anything that like actually needs an apology but it'll make me feel a bit better to say it. Oof whoops this ABoT chapter is super late. Timing kinda sucks since I wanted to have some updates out while s3 was airing but

Been kinda mega busy and stressed since October with the whole condo buying thing which rolled right into immediate day 0 plumbing and boiler issues I had to get fixed and general moving hassle and financial commitment stress and I kinda just fried myself hard. Plus then acclimating to a new place without my familiar street or familiar grocery store or familiar room or any of that. Like there's no "just go home and take your mind off it" to this cuz home is the "it". So I'm just kinda enduring until I can calm the hell down.

And anyway I definitely have progress on ch47, like 7000-ish words of it, but it's the kind of like "there is writing there" and hasn't exactly hit the "there is substance there" that I want ABoT chapters to be. Like this in particular is a chapter I want to be good, not just be done. So it's taking time to get my brain somewhere that can do that.

What do you mean Junior's actually dead? Andy was tortured for a year? Nica got dismembered? Glen and Glenda's human bodies died and they're back in the doll? Caroline got corrupted and taken by Chucky and Tiffany?

No no, I think you're mistaken.

Junior's actually alive and was living in the middle of the woods for Andy for a year. No torture, just the Chuckies that would come by and then get brutally tortured and murdered by the new father and son duo. It's a bonding activity for them.

Nica never got amputated, it was a hallucination from the drugs that Tiffany was giving her, making her believe that she lost her limbs. But Nica's got her arms and legs, she's okay.

Glen and Glenda are still human but did split both of their souls to put into the doll, GiGi (is it GiGi or GG?? Which is canon??? Idk anymore).

Caroline is fine, she's with Lexy and probably killed Chucky herself, she's got a bit of a dark side.

Overall, they're all just one big happy Final Family.

Idk what show y'all were watching because that's not the one I watched...

i feel like gen z need to be sat down and explicitly told it is ABSOLUTELY OK to say the wrong thing and do the wrong thing sometimes. growing up actually means fucking up, and if you spend your whole life paranoid of being ‘problematic’ then you are legitimately going to drive yourself into an anxiety induced meltdown. watching or reading ‘problematic’ media does not make you a bad person, and tbfh sometimes watching or reading said media (provided you keep your analytical brain switched on) is a good thing to do. because just as we learn by seeing what’s right to do, we also learn by seeing what’s not right to do. 

and without wishing to sound horrendously horrendously ‘i am in my mid twenties’, you don’t need to let the entire world know what you’re watching and reading. you actually don’t need to let the entire world know a damn thing about you, and i feel like a lot of the anxiety i see from gen-z online is this terror of being called problematic precisely because the boundaries for oversharing are next to non-existent. growing and changing and learning are a fundamental part of being a teenager, and you will say and do ‘problematic’ shit which will make you cringe in your twenties, and that’s absolutely ok because you will have learned from it.

On a reddit thread discussing potential passenger rail lines in Brazil, someone said that it wouldn't be worth making passenger rail to Brasilia (the CAPITAL city and the geographic centre of the country) because it's full of rich politicians and they would just take flights anyways. And of course, because Brazilians love to hate their country it got upvoted loads of times.

And like, I don't even know why it made me so irrationally mad but just. The sheer idea that the 3rd most populated city in the country with over 2.6 million people is populated exclusively by rich politicians is so absurd. Also like, there are hundreds of reasons why, because it is the political capital of the country, people need to come here. And they do. Flying or by bus (which takes at least 4 hours to anywhere, over 2 days to some other places). Or even driving. It's one of the easiest places to see licence plates from all over the country. Plus, being in the geographical centre, having a central rail station here would make connecting the interior to the southeast much easier. In fact, that's literally why it was built, and the interstate bus services from all over the North and Midwest already stop here on their way to SP and RJ.

And like, it's not like I'm deeply involved in politics or even particularly like our government. The guy that's in now I voted for and he's doing better for our country than the last guy but I don't cult worship him or think he's perfect (in fact I disagree with several things he has done). So there's no real reason for me to be personally offended by this. And sure, Brasilia is my hometown in that I was born here and currently live here, but I don't even LIKE it here! But it just feels like such a moronic reasoning. Like such an us vs them "people from here are all X" mentality. Like such a shitty throw-the-baby-with-the-bathwater mentality towards politics as well. Its just so fucking stupid I got genuinely pissed off and wanted to rant somewhere not associated with my reddit account.
