When the owners of this London home considered the various ways to divide the space, an alternative occurred to them that wouldn't strike most of us - steel and slats! And so the architect couple constructed the various rooms of their home with interior steel frames and Venetian blinds.

You know how I love my industrial lofts, so thanks to Ingek73 for sending this fabulosity in London. It's been used in the past as a studio/workshop and planning permission is now granted for a three bedroom residential dwelling. But, right now, it already has 2bds, 2ba, and is perfect just the way it is. £1.5M / $1.858M.
Tumblr media
I love it- an exposed brick wall, and there's possibility in that upper loft. Look at the skylight- would be a great little art space.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Across the way is loft with a little chalet vibe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is kind of set up like my apt. The kitchen is under the loft. Cute. Look at the little skylight that looks like a window.
Tumblr media
The view from the kitchen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's a table for 2, but you can fit a larger table in this space, and you can put stools at the counter, too.
Tumblr media
Up in the loft is the primary bedroom, right now. Beautiful skylights and beams that remind me of an Amsterdam apt. on the canal.
Tumblr media
I would have to find a better way to store clothes- don't have the patience to neatly fold everything.
Tumblr media
I think that the stairs in the kitchen lead to this room. It would make a great rec room- look at the brick fireplace and access to the yard. Looks like they're using it as a studio.
Tumblr media
Here's one of the baths with a laundry area.
Tumblr media
The yard is cute, it's a paved patio and pretty spacious.

I don’t think good omens could take place in a better place (this sentence makes no sense, why did I write this)
I meant setting
SoHo London is the PERFECT place to have it be set
although I think Crowley would thrive in New York, they really couldn’t have picked a better place for Azi and Crowley to stay on earth
Soho is the perfect balance between Crowley and Aziraphale’s personalities but they still feel a tad out of place
Neil gaiman is a god tbh

“And I am married to a poet. We came together in that church of the chimney sweeps with nothing but love & hope & our own selves: Ted in his old black corduroy jacket & me in mother’s gift of a pink knit dress. Pink rose & black tie. An empty church in watery yellow-gray light of rainy London. Outside, the crowd of thick-ankled tweed-coated mothers & pale, jabbering children waiting for the bus to take them on a church outing to the Zoo.
And here I am: Mrs. Hughes. And wife of a published poet.”
—from The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath, Cambridge Diary, Monday afternoon: February 25 1957
...
Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes first met on 25 February 1956 at party in Cambridge, England. They married only four months later on 16 June 1956 at St George the Martyr, Holborn, Camden, London in honor of Bloomsday with Plath‘s mother Aurelia being the only wedding guest. They have been married for six years and four months until Plath died by  suicide on 11 February 1963.
Even though they have been separated for five months since September 1962, they never got a divorce. Maybe today would have been their 67th anniversary, if they were alive and stayed together.
Picture: Sylvia Plath & Ted Hughes photographed by by Lettice Ramsey at Ramsey & Muspratt in Cambridge, England in 1956.
This picture is one of 10 Plath and Hughes had taken a few moths later in November 1956 as their official wedding photos. They are wearing their actual  wedding attire and Plath wore a “pink knitted suit dress”.
They both ended up hating the photographs.
If you want to find out more about their wedding and the story of these wedding pictures, I highly recommend you to read Ann Kennedy Smith‘s blog post at https://akennedysmith.com/

Precious Recordings (UK) has cost me some serious cash over the past few years. Nick Godfrey has done what I can only dream of doing. He releases music he's loved for years and done so perfectly. The packaging and music is just amazing and he's doing all of us a service by bringing some of the best UK 1980s indie pop Peel Sessions to us.
I do own a Weather Prophets (Pete Astor/The Loft - based in London, UK) LP, but I'm frequently more drawn to the Precious Recordings releases. The Weather Prophets remind me a bit of The Woodentops, The Jasmine Minks, The June Brides and sometimes The Velvet Underground. They were originally signed by Alan McGee's Creation label.
If you live in the United States check out Jigsaw Records. They often have all of the Precious releases, but with domestic shipping.

3. Popular Design Features in Side Return Extensions
When planning your extension, consider incorporating features that not only enhance space but also add to its aesthetic and functional appeal:
Skylights and Transparent Doorways: Designed to optimize the influx of daylight into your home.
Microcement Flooring: This versatile and stylish option complements modern decor and is provided by specialists in microcement flooring in London.
Bespoke Storage Solutions: Custom cabinets and shelves can help utilize every inch of your new extension.
4. Key Considerations When Planning Your Extension
Before embarking on your extension project, consider the following to ensure a smooth process:
Permissions and Regulations: Understand the local building regulations and obtain the necessary permissions.
Choosing the Right Builder: Select a building company in Chelsea known for quality and reliability.
Budget Management: Keep track of your finances to avoid overspending.
5. Transforming Spaces with Innovative Materials and Designs
Modern materials like micro cement are durable and sleek, ideal for contemporary extensions. A London Loft Conversion Company can also suggest innovative ways to integrate lofts with side extensions for additional space.
