𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍳This week I got to try out @eggrun_uk, and I’ve been looking forward to this for a while. I loved it! This is the EggRun; @clarence_court Burford Brown scrambled eggs, caramelised onions, cheddar cheese, chives, EggRun secret sauce, in a brioche bun. That sauce is delicious, it’s got a really nice warmth running through it, and they’ve obviously done the smart thing and gone for @clarence_court eggs. Their savage fries are amazing too; sweet potato fries with cheese, crispy onions, and chives. Hello Londoners!

Uno dei miei motti preferiti è: Luxury lifestyle for everyone, che letteralmente si traduce come: Vita lussuosa per tutti!

Infatti quando posso mi piace visitare posti di lusso senza spendere troppo, questo è proprio il caso dello Shard. Come menzionato nel post sullo Shangri-La, lo Shard può essere molto costoso, nonostante ciò i suoi ristoranti offrono menù fissi più economici per orari e giorni limitati.

Benvenuti dunque da Hutong.

L’Hutong è un ristorante cinese situato al 33esimo piano dello Shard e presenta un’atmosfera elegante e romantica 365 giorni l’anno grazie alla fantastica vista su Londra. Spesso è scenario di proposte di matrimonio o anniversario ma questo non significa che non ci si possa godere un pranzetto con un’amica!

Il ricco menù fisso da £35 prevede un bicchiere di prosecco per accompagnare l’aperitivo composto da una variegata scelta di Ravioli al Vapore:

Funghi e spinaci, Pollo e verdure croccanti con Maiale e Anatra.. Lascio parlare le foto, come potete immaginare sono tanto belli quanto buoni da mangiare.

Come Main invece viene offerto del Filetto di Manzo saltato al wok con Peperoncino Verde e contorno di Riso al vapore e Broccoli Cinesi, assolutamente una delizia del palato!

Per concludere il nostro brunch abbiamo ricevuto in omaggio un delizioso Budino di Mango come? Vi svelo un segreto: molti ristoranti di lusso a Londra vi sorprenderanno con un dessert gratuito se decidete di celebrate il vostro compleanno o anniversario presso le loro location, e non richiedono conferme per le date!

Insomma, seguendo i miei consigli potrete davvero gustare il lusso inglese con uno degli scenari preferiti da tutti i Londoners ad un prezzo accettabile!

Vinoteca Brunch

If you’ve spent any time down Borough Market lately, you might have noticed a new small development being built up called Borough Yards. There’s not too much open yet, a new Everyman Cinema, a Paul Smith shop and the first restaurant, a new Vinoteca. They very recently started doing a weekend brunch and so we popped down to give it a go.

It being Vinoteca, there’s even a section on the menu for “brunch wines”. They also have a Get Funky wine flight with 3 wines that are all meant to be a bit unusual and not necessarily what you’d normally get. I liked this as it is nice to try out a few different wines.

As for the food, we started with a freshly baked croissant. It doesn’t look particulaly impressive but was actually really nice. It came out warm from the oven and was super soft with a super flakey outside.

These were actually off the main menu and were Neal’s Yard Cheese croquettes on a bed of aioli. It’s nice that they use produce from the other places around Borough and these were delicious. They were lovely and crispy with a cheesy mash filling. The mash was super smooth and had a strong but not overpowering cheesiness to it.

It’s a brunch menu so clearly has to have eggs on it. This was their eggs florentine with sourdough bread from Flor (whom unfortunately, have closed their place in Borough but are still open in Bermondsey Spa). The bread was really good quality and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The hollandaise was a little thinner than I was expecting but still an excellent eggs florentine.

This was bacon, roasted tomatoes, a fried egg, all on a slice of that flor sourdough. The bacon was from Ginger Pig, another good example of sourcing from the market. This was a very good example of good quality ingredients done in a very simple way but well executed. Overall a really tasty brunch.

I’m definitely excited about the development of Borough Yards and from a food and drink perspective, it’s made a good start with Vinoteca.

It’s @napoligang.uk choc-chip brioche panettone, toasted and layered with poached pear compote and @nutellauk, topped with more compote, creamy mascarpone, toasted hazelnuts and a drizzle of homemade chocolate sauce. There’s only 15 available per day up until 26th December! @eggbreak_ldn are open every day apart from 25th, and if you can’t make it in then you will also find it on @deliveroo. Hello Londoners

Uno dei pregiudizi più’ sbagliati su Londra è quello di credere che i bar o i ristoranti nei top floor dei grattacieli siano troppo costosi per essere visitati.

Il mio bar “nel cielo” preferito è assolutamente il POD Bar all’ultimo piano dello Sky Garden!

Lo Sky Garden è il giardino pubblico più alto di Londra situato al 35esimo piano dell’edificio Fenchurch, esso fa parte dei famosissimi Rooftop Bar di Londra (dei quali parlerò’ in estate).

Questo giardino è completamente gratuito da visitare durante il giorno e durante alcune sere della settimana. Nel weekend invece è possibile prenotare un tavolo per assicurarsi l’entrata.

I prezzi dei Cocktails variano dai £5 ai £15 e sono serviti con composizioni carinissime di fiori e caramelle, davvero deliziosi ed Instagrammabili.

La presenza di vetrate, su tutto il perimetro, permette una visuale completa del panorama Londinese, rendendo questo locale perfetto per chi visita Londra solo per un weekend!

Una visuale che non potete lasciarvi scappare!
