anyway back to the request I question the visions and delusions part because Qiqi is a Zombie an uses a cryo vision BUT I'M GONNA GLOSS OVER THAT BECAUSE YEs

Let's go lowest to highest in ranking like I usually do and start with Childe who, imo, would accept on the grounds that it is power and he will take anything to become more powerful even at a detriment to his health and physical condition. Though there is a price, he has accepted prices before and assuming that the pay off is good enough the use of a vision or delusion would be obsolete anyway. That, coupled with his love for you as his motivation is more than enough to sway him in your favour as he can see more to gain than lose from spending eternity by your side.

Arlecchino is a tough one because I can totally see it and it's really hot but Idk if she would. I wanna say yes, but I can also see reasons for no. The Vampire Arlecchino energy wins though because tbh I can see her being willing to make that sacrifice for her lover. I don't see her as fully whipped per se but like she's definitely loyal yk, probably pick you over the Tsaritsa and would want to spend an eternity with you at your behest.

Next is Pantalone. Cool vampire vibes. Someone gave me this wonderful headcanon that he is obsessed with his delusion, and I now love it to death so much that I based a character on it. So tbh yeah, there's benefits in this for him. He gets to be with you and have a little more power at a far lesser detriment. Plus like, you can't convince me this man wouldn't be lowkey into it.

Signora, I'm not sure. She has already lived a long time, and she has a lot of natural power already. Her delusion is what balances her, so I honestly think I'd have to say no. I WANNA SAY YES REALLY BAD BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THERE'S OPPORTUNITY THERE, but I also just don't think so, but like she'll still be with you for a long time.

Sandrone, I honestly don't know either, because I don't know much from the two words she's spoken. If I remember, she doesn't care for other people, though, so she's likely very in love with anyone who managed to break through that and may be willing to make sacrifices for you.

For Scaramouche- well, bro is an artificial human, so tbh, I don't even think he would be affected by that. I'll skip him too.

Next would be Pulcinella, but I was told no Pulcinella, so Capitano (I almost forgot him send help). I like the abyssal creature Capitano headcanon, but even if he was just, a guy. I think the answer is no. HE'S WHIPPED AND WOULD DO ANYTHING BUT NOT THIS 😭 at least not at first, but give it a while and I can see it. It'll take time, though.

Columbina is also tricky because she has such entity vibes, but like also, seraph/vampire pairing would be so hot I can't even deny that. I should write that. Anyway, I feel like she's already immortal, so that doesn't matter, and she is indifferent to the power you offer. It's a matter of it not holding value. She has everything she could get out of it already.

Finally, we come to Dottore. Dottore is into it, don't lie, you know he is; this man is freaky. He'd enjoy the prospect of being a Vampire more than the perks of it, and that's enough to convince him. Besides it's 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓼𝓬𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 so he gets to excuse it. He couldn't turn it down even if it was just one of his segments because he's got to know what it's like and all the differences. He collects knowledge.

This was way more chaotic than usual 💀 Idk if I will write more like this but I did enjoy it so maybe, depends if y'all like this or my other styles more. I just like the chilled out casual chaos sometimes so lmk

I'll start with a shameless plug, because most fics I've written (and not all of them are posted yet, but I have more coming) are, at least in part and in one way or another, about this, because I kind of have this obsession with writing about grief. Possibly the most famous of this subgenre is Comfortably Numb by WaveGoodbye, featuring Quinn as a heroin addict. You can read it here.

Didn't See It Coming by forforever19 is a favourite of mine. It was my first favourite, in fact. It was the fic that properly got me into Faberry. It is also hella long. It initially looks like the cause of Quinn's emotional breakdown is Finn breaking up with her, and it's not like that helps, but the narrative really gets inside her head and goes deep into her family background. Devolution by poetzproblem is a retelling of season 3 from Quinn's POV. It's pretty heavy on the angst, but the ending is hopeful (I think; I haven't read this one in a while). Read it here.

Like a Seal Upon Your Heart by dramatricks is mostly about religious trauma. It's not super dark, but I think it's interesting. Find it here.

His naivete and rose-tinted view of the world of love is something that Diluc internally cringes at whenever it passes in his mind. He never thought that he would ever go back to reciting corny declarations of love... that is until he met you.

• He wasn’t the type to beat around the bush. He tells you those words quoted above and his visage nearly rivals the color of his hair. He cringes at his own words but he feels like that he didn’t mess it up. In fact, he’s lowkey proud that he was able to fish out those words without making a complete fool of himself. Surely, that would be enough to show you how he truly feels--

• “Are you playing me for a fool, Diluc?”

• Or not.

• He stares back at you, mouth agape and eyes widened. Did he do something wrong? Did he perhaps catch you at a bad time? He was sure that the settings of his confession was perfect. If not that, then why would you think he was joking?

• When he hears that you think he’s ingenuine in his feelings, his heart breaks then those pieces turned into sparks of fire. Did something or someone happened to make you feel this way? How dare someone make you feel like you were undeserving of love? And who was the person to make you like this?

• His plans of vengeance will come later, right now, he needs to show you that he won’t break your heart. It’s a long process, but Diluc won’t give up so easily. It may take months, but he’s willing to become your dawn amidst your dreary days.

“I’m serious about what I said. I’ll wait for eternity until you say yes.”

“Mortal... I have-feelings-for you.”

• The one who struggled the most with his confession, yet the one who expects your response, even going so far as to relating to it. Xiao never had much of a proper conversation, much less a confession, to someone that wasn’t an adeptus. What more if it were a mortal who struggles with self-confidence?

• “Are you sure, Xiao? Or is this another thing that you’re confused about?”

• He’s not sure of it himself. He’s not sure of anything. But he’s sure of his feelings towards you. He’s afraid of the rejection but fuck, does it make his heart race every time he thinks about it. He’s willing to risk his dignity for you and it’s scary that an adeptus like he is willing to do this for you.

• But he sees where you were going with this. He had that moment in time where he thought he was as worthless as a dog-a lapdog serving his master and never even offered a bit of kibble. Xiao knows how you feel and he relates to you so hard. It’s almost ironic how both kindred spirits-two people who’ve been hurt and so distrusting of the world-joined hands together against all odds.

• Surprisingly, he’s the most relaxed out of everyone here. At least he doesn’t go in an immediate murderous rampage. Instead, he stands by you in silent relations. He’s not good with words but he’s felt your struggle. He stands by you and he hopes that you understand his feelings.

“I understand... completely how you feel. And I am here.”

✧ Childe

“I wish to go back home to Snezhnaya with you-to meet my family. And for them to see the apple of my eye.”

• He’s the type to have faux confidence. All his splendor in fighting and battles and yet he can’t muster the courage to come and confess to his crush. It’s laughable, really. So even in his confession, he seems insincere and it seems like he was just playing your feelings.

“That’s cute, Childe... What do you want?”

• I-he wants you. Was he not clear enough? He was sure he didn’t cause another city-wide disaster or he forgot anything important. He was sure that he laid out his confession as smoothly as possible, so why did you think that he was confessing for the sake of getting something in return?

• At first, he was angered by that. Did you think he was that shallow to toy around with your feelings? Did you think that he was a lowly mongrel who backs out the moment his enemy fights back? He becomes defensive immediately, admonishing you that he's already having a tough time trying to confess and you were here making things even more confusing.

• And, of course, you argued back. This argument went in a back and forth for a while until you explicitly say to him that someone before had made you feel this way. That your heart was toyed with and broken and they weren't there to pick up the pieces.

• All Childe could feel after that was pure rage. Rage unlike anything he's ever experienced. Out of everyone here, Childe has the most violent reaction, and you had to make a convincing argument for him to stay before he kills the person who broke your heart.

• After apologizing, Childe makes sure that you know that he's into you. It's awkward at first, probably laughable how a Harbinger is brought to his knees by you, but it's worth it when Childe hears those three words on your lips before kissing them.

People’s arguments against Leona being black lowkey reminds me of back when people would heavily debate and argue with their life that they’re was no way that Yoruichi from Bleach could be considered black. Or that Michiko from Michiko to Hatchin was not Afro-Brazilian. In fact now that I think about it people only seem to want to argue against someone not being a race due to not being human and etc when it comes to characters people see as black. And I noticed that almost entirely it’s when the black character is constantly considered attractive by the fandom that people debate if they have black ancestry which always got me rubbed the wrong way.

I found out your blog a couple of days ago and I’m honestly happy to see you also call out/see the mistreatment/bias against the POC-coded characters in TWST from the fandom compared to how some of the white-coded characters are stanned and excused for a lot of their actions.

I noticed when I got into TWST last idk November or December (I forgot when I got into it lol but I know it wasn’t long ago and that the 5th chapter with Vil was the current one) or whatever that a lot of people on Tumblr were inconsiderate of Jamil’s circumstances especially but would be overdramatic and overforgiving about the actions from the European/white-coded characters who basically had 1st world problems which tbh made me quickly distance myself from the fandom and really only engage on the level of reblogging fanworks and fanart on tumblr because it reminded me of how the Star Wars fandom would have people vilifying Finn/John Boyega but then woobifying and forgiving Kylo Ren for everything.

And as someone who is black it gets so uncomfortable to be in some fandoms because POC characters especially black characters tend to be demonized in fandoms but people will simp for non-POC characters who do things 10x worse. I don’t dislike Vil (though I haven’t caught up to ch 5 lol) but I know of some of the main things he did and I found it bizarre how some people on tumblr that criticized Leona’s actions in Ch 2 (while I don’t agree with some of his tactics the hypocrisy some people in the fandom give to him is really uncomfortable) were justifying Vil’s attempt to poison Neige like what 😐.

Anyways I am sorry for how long this is but I just wanna say I’m happy I found your blog because I used to think I was overreacting or possibly alone in noticing how hypocritical Leona was treated by people who stan Vil and how a lot of people in the fandom seem to not see anything wrong about that.

I still have no idea if this ask was ever sent to me, since I can only see this ask on desktop and not on the app (along with other random asks from deactivated accounts, which all appeared at the same time in my inbox just a week ago without any notification), but it seems relevant enough to be sent to me so I'll answer it.

Honestly have nothing else to add because you're pretty much spot on, though no one ever wants to have these conversations, and whenever I have brought it up there's a history in the fandom of getting attacked and told off for making people uncomfortable or getting angry at the 'inaccurate' understanding of their fave white character when the issues I've talked about precede anything to do with the characters and more on the environment of racial microaggressions (as well as overt forms) in fandom itself, not just in the twst fandom but all fandoms like you've mentioned. Or i've had anons insist its solely my duty to be the calm and collected educator and reserve all my emotional labour on issues of race for everyone else, or I'm too aggressive lol. I've always been vocal about the discomfort fans of colour experience in the fandom and the racism and bias in the fandom in general, but yeah.

No need to apologise for the long post! Whenever I get fans of colour telling me they've also felt really uncomfortable I never know what to say except I'm sorry, and you're not overreacting or overthinking it, you have a right to feel upset but we also have a right to a good fandom experience without constantly being uncomfortable. We all feel weird and upset having to scroll through the main tags seeing racially insensitive posts, and having to block 90% of the fandom until we're forced to be outcasted because there's nothing left. Or just the fact that Yana couldn't do anything differently but rely on the same racist and Islamophobic stereotypes around the Black African and Arab-coded characters.

(Which might remain medically necessary, or she might just keep wearing for style points.) Hmm.
