I wonder how much time Chris has been in coma. He was hit at the head by a bullet but his brain was spared (if i remember, they said that the wound is only exterior) (which is good, i'm not sure they could have done anything if the wound had been actually deep and touched the brain, Chris would have died)
but he has been unconscious for a long time and had still crutches when they find Emma.
So it mean that his awakening was "recent" if he still needed crutches (so reeducation).
How severe was his wound? for how much time was he in coma?
Have you theories about it?
Fun fact: Chris was originally supposed to wake up during the Seven Walls arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Mystic Code Book Chapter 5)
But yeah after they arrive at the paradise hideout his condition is "conveniently stable" so Shirai could utilize it to facilitate more drama if he needed to or just keep it as is, and he ended up going with the latter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 126 | Mystic Code Book Chapter 7 Series Timeline)
We don't know the exact date he was shot, but he spent roughly half of October 2047 and at least thirteen days of November 2047 comatose.
After that, it's arbitrary, even if one wants to be canon compliant.
If you want it to take a while for him to wake up, the explanation can be Peter wasn't careful while transferring him from the paradise hideout to Grace Field headquarters, and Chris suffered brain trauma they weren't aware of until they did tests at a hospital.
If you want him to wake up shortly after they arrive in the human world, like in one of Shirai's drafts of chapter 179, you can still have his recovery span the course of months since muscle atrophy occurs rapidly.
Tumblr media
(Mystic Code Book Chapter 6; I would have been up for this version)
Tumblr media
(Muscle Atrophy in ICU Patients article)
You can also prolong his recovery further by introducing a psychosomatic component. In addition to the physical harm that befell him, the mental trauma of the bunker raid resulted in a combination of him not waking up for however long one wishes to keep him in a coma and possibly hampered his physical therapy for months to over a year even after working to rebuild all the strength he lost.
There are a lot of ways you can adapt it to fit within the phrasing presented by the kids when explaining their trip to Emma in the epilogue:
Tumblr media
"Able to walk again" meaning it did take him some time, although we never see him using crutches like Dominic or Sonya.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 126 | Chapter 157 Bonus Sketch | Chapter 98)
Also it's never focused on, but Sonya uses a cane like her dad post-timeskip.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Chapter 104 | Chapter 106 | Chapter 111)

The deleted scene that summed up Obi-Wan and Anakin's arcs in AOTC.
I sorta touched on this subject in this post (although it's buried all the way down because it's the longest post I've ever written), but I was reading an earlier draft of the screenplay for Attack of the Clones from July 4th 2000, and landed on THIS scene (Scene 51):
Tumblr media
And I'm fucking geeking out.
So Scene 51 is an older iteration of this scene:
Tumblr media
It was re-shot and placed earlier in the film because they wanted to add Yoda to the scene, and it's intentionally placed right after the scene where Anakin talks to Palpatine to contrast how Anakin and Obi-Wan interact with their mentor figures.
Anakin gets told what he wants to hear, Obi-Wan is told what he needs to hear. In Lucas' words:
"You can see that Palpatine is sort of boosting his ego to make him feel that he's better than possibly he really is. A lot of his philosophies and things are repeated, later on, by Anakin when he gets into situations about how he should be allowed more freedom, more assignments. We contrast that with the three Jedi and show Obi-Wan's concern about the fact that his apprentice is getting ahead of himself, and he's arrogant. Obi-Wan is put down a little bit by Yoda there 'cause Yoda says that that arrogance exists in the older Jedi too, which is a way of warning Obi-Wan that he may be suffering the same hubris." - Attack of the Clones, Commentary Track 2, 2002
But here's what we lose from that original iteration... ahem... THE EXPLICIT FORESHADOWING OF OBI-WAN AND ANAKIN'S ARCS IN ATTACK OF THE CLONES!
That one conversation with Mace spells out Obi and Ani's inner journeys throughout the film.
Obi-Wan’s arc: learning to have faith in Anakin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So a character arc is driven by that character's inner flaw. In Attack of the Clones, Obi-Wan is being a stern, overprotective, helicopter parent.
Anakin is better and much more skilled than your average Jedi and so a lot of the concerns Obi-Wan expresses aren’t necessary, he’s just nagging and questioning him pointlessly.
Does he overcome this flaw, in the film? Yes.
Obi-Wan learns to have faith in his Padawan’s judgement and abilities. He listens to Anakin's suggestion and they take down a whole destroyer. He gives Anakin his lightsaber, trusting his apprentice's fighting skills.
Anakin’s arc: duty over emotion & controlling his arrogance.
This one's a two-parter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the one hand, Anakin's in love. But he's a Jedi.
At some point, his love needs to take a backseat because if it keeps distracting him, he can't do his job as a Jedi.
Does Anakin complete this part of the arc, in the film? Yes.
Anakin hesitates, he protests... but eventually, he does focus on his duty before his personal wants. Obviously, this is just a first step in a long journey, but that step has been taken.
On the other hand, Anakin is arrogant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because he's so skilled, Anakin will keep pushing the envelope, he'll get overconfident and cocky. He'll jump into danger, overestimating his abilities, and it usually bites him in the ass.
Like, Obi-Wan may be overly concerned at times, but he's also right on the money when it comes to this.
Does Anakin overcome this flaw? Nope!
Still angry for having to leave Padmé behind and seeing his Jedi brothers and sisters get slaughtered in the arena, Anakin rushes Dooku, thinking he can take him on by himself, and gets blasted out of the game, leaving Obi-Wan to fend for himself. When he rejoins the fray, he overestimates himself, which costs him an arm.
CONS & PROS of the reshoots in AOTC.
If we look at this scene as it used to be, it gives us a clearer idea of Obi-Wan and Anakin's dynamic, being as it helps set up and frame their arcs more explicitly.
Also, while Windu still tells Obi-Wan to get off Anakin's back in the final version, once again, in this version of the scene it's done more explicitly. Had this stayed in the film as it was, future portrayals and receptions of Mace Windu would've been more charitable. Instead of framing him as someone who "always disapproved of Anakin" we might've seen a slightly more nuanced take on his relationship with the young Jedi in future books, for instance.
But the "show don't tell" saying in screenwriting and filmmaking is a classic. And in this case, while George removed a few lines that told us this arc, he added a few moments in the film to show it to the audience. Among other things:
Tumblr media
Obi-Wan and Anakin's elevator scene. Originally, this wasn't in the film. George decided to insert it to establish that, on a normal day, Obi-Wan and Anakin have a pretty good symbiotic relationship. But Anakin meeting Padmé for the first time in 10 years is a catalyst event that makes Anakin act more petulant and arrogant than usual, which in turn makes Obi-Wan more stern. (the argument could be made that this would be more efficient if we were shown the "nest of Gundarks" incident, rather than told about it, but hey)
On Geonosis, when Obi-Wan compliments Anakin for successfully taking down a Core Ship, that moment was added during reshoots.
More importantly, the whole "put the ship down" interaction was drastically changed.
Originally, it was shorter, and the conflict in that scene wasn't as strong. It originally felt as simply Obi-Wan being a stickler as usual and Anakin pulling another one of his tantrums, without realizing that "dude, Padmé's fine, look!"
Tumblr media
They shot it like this, and in the editing room one of the Assistant Editors pointed this out to Lucas. There was no tension.
So George reshot it and turned this exchange into a pivotal character moment. Now, there's a whole new meaning.
Obi-Wan needs Anakin by his side, he can't face Dooku alone. If he does, he will get killed. Anakin thinks Padmé is in danger, or worse, that she's dead (and we're not robbed of this tension by immediately showing she's fine).
Obi-Wan reminds him of his job. Anakin still only listens to his own emotions.
Obi-Wan warns him. He'll be expelled form the Jedi Order; real shit. If the roles were reversed, Padmé would put her duty first too. So, moment of truth, what's it gonna be?
Anakin looks inward... and makes a decision.
Says George Lucas:
"This scene with Padmé falling out of the ship - when I originally wrote it and we cut it together - it didn’t quite work. [...] We looked at it, and one of the Assistant Editors said “you know, it really looks like something should happen and it doesn’t”. [...] So we reshot this scene, with Hayden and Ewan, and really brought out the central issue which was not in the first time I shot it, which was ‘if you go back, you will be expelled from the Jedi Order’. And that level of confrontation hadn’t been there." - Attack of the Clones, Director's Commentary, 2002
So yeah. Little something I noticed.
I love this BtS stuff.
Oh and you can read the older AOTC script here.

Lol! Obi-Wan & General Grievous are both war criminals in this unused original animatic for the Utapau chase scene from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith! Like seriously, people have joked that if this is was in the actual movie, the film would have ended up with an R-rating for sure!
youtube
Like, Grievous literally drives his wheel bike all the way through a moving train mowing over and shooting dozens of civilians in the process, later uses said-wheel bike to grind up and blow the body parts of dead Clone Troopers towards Obi-Wan, and later Obi-Wan literally pulls out all the internal organs of a helpless incapacitied Grievous with his bear hands and then coldly shoots them with a blaster before kicking Grievous’ lifeless corpse down the cliff below!
My best friend had the perfect reaction when I showed her this animatic!
Lucas: “This will be the darkest Star Wars movie yet.”
Animators: turn in this

Some people say that Biggs Darklighter's deleted speech about the Galactic Empire nationalizing farms made Star Wars an anti-communist film, and that meant George Lucas was anti-Communist. I half-agree. It definitely would have made it anti-communist, but I suspect it implicitly condemning communism and nationalization is if anything the reason WHY it ended up cut (and I suspect George Lucas himself demanded the cut), especially when Lucas's own talk, especially in a certain Charlie Rose interview post-sale to Disney and even some comments made by him beforehand like "pure democracy, not capitalistic democracy" indicated that he himself was a huge fan of nationalization (heck, preferred the Soviet filmmaking style over Hollywood, and the Soviet filmmaking style is the EPITOME of nationalization). Oh yeah, and also his explicitly quoting Marx's dictum of workers having the means of production after he freed himself from the hollywood system around the time The Empire Strikes Back was released. More likely, he initially wrote it as a reference to the leftist canard about how America "invaded" Vietnam for tin deposits (basically the 1960s-1970s equivalent of the anti-war slogan War for Oil during Iraq), but then after giving it some thought and realizing he unintentionally supplied ammo to the capitalists he hated and demonized the communists he loved, he decided to cut the line instead. And get this, when it came time to expand more on the Empire's philosophy from its own words with the Imperial Handbook, they conveniently don't even ALLUDE to any plans, short or long term, of nationalizing farms at all. The most they really mentioned regarding nationalization, or Imperialization as they call it, was weapons manufacturers, which lets face it, even in a small government setting, nationalization of firearms is somewhat required. Without nationalization of firearms or weapons of some sort, weapons manufacturers actually CAN commit treason and sell weapons to both sides just for a quick buck. Yes, Capitalism definitely is the best in this world for many reasons, but it also needs to be held in check by morals as well, which even Conservatives agree with, heck, the Founding Fathers of America agreed with. Ironically, absolutely no restraints to weapons manufacturers actually works more with Communists than Capitalists since Communists absolutely INSIST on destroying moral codes as well as law and order of ANY sort.

Garrett’s actor, Lucas, states that he had filmed scenes within the pizzeria that were sadly cut. Perhaps we will see them in the sequel or deleted scenes!
Though it’s interesting that Garrett is holding what seems to be a fredbear plush!

Mike and Will literally share shoes (and Will might be sleeping in Mike's room) and might not be dating yet when they start dating they're gonna share a whole closet and flirt with each other about how good they look in each other's clothes and just being obnoxious (I will rewatch those scenes so many times) what if they're sharing/swapping shoes because it's the 80's and they're in a really homophobic and conservative town and if they want to give little hints that they're dating and want to openly show it (to at least their friends) they have to be subtle about it? and maybe when they're at home they share clothes without feeling like they have to be careful with how they act around each other and can be openly affectionate (like them in s2)
Thank you for pointing it out @cler1csfink
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Confirmation that they're the same shoes and they're both size 10 so yeah they're sharing shoes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and Mike brought these shoes from Hawkins which means the puma suede belong to Will
Tumblr media
and in a leaked footage El and Mike broke up/ were already broken up because Mike says "we'll still be friends" and "i wanted to tell you first" which makes me think he might have came out to her (and in that video he was literally wearing his boyfriend's shoes)
video from @nowmemoriees
in s1 during that scene on the train tracks they're friends and in the leaked video they were wearing similar clothes to what they were wearing in that s1 scene where they were friends and could trust each other. i think Mike's gonna come out to her (as gay) there which would explain why El was crying, and why Mike said "i wanted to talk to you first", in s1 Mike said "friends tell the truth" to El and in s5 it's Mike's turn to be honest about himself and maybe he'll tell her he's in love with Will or maybe he'll tell her that he's dating Will
it's the same song that played when Robin came out to Steve, obviously Steve had a crush on Robin but she's a lesbian and can only love him platonically while even though Mike tried to love El romantically he couldn't do it because he's gay and he didn't even bother to close his eyes and kiss her back
Tumblr media
plus in a deleted script it says he was mad at himself
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and the song playing when Mike and El were kissing in s3 "can't fight this feeling" is about someone being in love with their friend and not knowing what to do about it while already being in a relationship with someone else so it's about Mike being in love with Will and not knowing what to do so he represses it and pushes him away to get over him but then realizing it's not working (which is something he realized at the end of s3) and he's gay and he want on a double date with Will and Lumax after that
Tumblr media
and Mike in s4 was trying to be normal and might be into new things (men, because dnd is not new)
Tumblr media
and
Tumblr media
and in s4 "in the closet at rink o mania" started playing Mike took what Will said "and us?" as romantic and felt the need to clarify that they're friends and Will said they used to be best friends and the camera panned back to Mike plus synth music is his thing since he has "Smalltown Boy" (gay song) as his first song on his spotify playlist, it's a song about a gay man leaving his homophobic town to start a new life and Finn said he wants Mike to leave Hawkins
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and he has a "one way" sign pointing to his closet because he's gay and closeted and in his room he has a poster of a shirtless man while the others (Steve, B*lly, and Lucas' "friends") all have women posters because they like women
Tumblr media
Mike being obsessed with Superman? and him having a poster of a shirtless man while Steve, B*lly and the tigers all had posters of women in bikinis (because they like girls) Will has a skinny pink panther poster in his room which symbolizes his type in men (Mike) Mike has a shirtless man poster and a buff male dragon poster which symbolizes his type in men (Will) (he's not really buff but he's stronger than Mike) they're each other's type and love each other plus you can see Mike looking at Will's arms during some scenes
also in s3 he was happy about Dustin having a gf and asked him about her but then in s4 when he "finds out" Will has a crush on a "girl" he doesn't ask him about "her" and acts distant (he was pretending he didn't care but he was jealous) and he asked Will about the painting because he was hoping it was for him (it was)
Tumblr media
and he realized Will loves him back in the van scene, Mike wants to feel needed and Will needs him, Mike felt lost without Will, Will felt lost without Mike, Will loves him, Mike loves him back, they both think the other doesn't love them, they will prove each other wrong in s5 when Mike finds out Will lied about the painting and loves him back, they love each other the way they want to be loved
and he was so happy to see Will drew a heart on his shield
Tumblr media
which is literally an engagement ring, no hands because they'll be more than friends in s5
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they've been filming a lot at that farm.. and Ross and his wife said that they enjoyed eyewitness
Tumblr media
and Lukas and Mike both have internalized homophobia (Lukas was dating a girl to be normal and then he breaks up with his gf and starts dating Philip, his male best friend)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and if this leak is actually correct there would be another parallel
Tumblr media
because in eyewitness Lukas gets injured and his boyfriend stays with him and he kisses his forehead, Lukas' dad sees it (he's ok with it), it would explain why Karen was at the hospital and why they needed an ambulance on the set, so if this leak is true then Will's gonna kiss Mike's forehead and Karen is gonna see it (that would mean Mike and Will are already dating)
Tumblr media
and in s2 Mike stayed with Will at the hospital so now it's Will's turn
Tumblr media
they've been filming a lot at that farm.. and Ross and his wife said that they enjoyed eyewitness and they filmed at like 3 or 4 different farms (one of them has swings) and they're literally filming at one right now
more s5 leaks and Mike and El staying friends after the break up and Mike being worried for Will <33 and Mike and Robin bonding over their partners being in danger
Tumblr media
Will is wearing one of Mike's shirts in s5, Mike wore something similar in s3 it's a gap shirt and Eddie said Mike wears gap shirts and Will has never worn something like this in the previous seasons and he didn't bring that many clothes back to Hawkins so he's gonna have to wear Mike's if he's staying at Mike's (the Wheelers added 2 chairs to their breakfast table and Will's tiger plushie is in Mike's room, it makes me think that they're already dating in the scene because Will is wearing blue yellow and green which are Byler's colors
Tumblr media
Noah liking another byler edit? fork found in the kitchen. pic from @iamforbyler from here . there are hints that Mike and Will's first kiss will be in s5 episode 7 (during Jopper's first kiss there were boxes that said MW705, Mike and Will s5 episode 7) they definitely told him to promote Byler again to introduce Byler as boyfriends to the GA and Millie is not promoting mlvn anymore and when they asked her what her favorite pop culture couple was she said the couple from twlight instead of mlvn
Tumblr media
Will's wearing Mike's black jeans, the blue shirt looks like something s2 Mike would wear but the undershirt looks like Will's in s4. he's just stealing his boyfriend's clothes atp because Will has never worn black jeans before and he's wearing blue (Mike's color) and Mike's the only one in the party who has worn black jeans and Will might be staying at Mike's because his tiger plushie was in Mike's room and the Wheelers added 2 chairs to their breakfast table plus Will has to stay at Mike's since he doesn't have a house in Hawkins and the cabin is too small for all the Byers to live in.
maybe he's wearing Mike's black jeans from s5 instead of the s4 ones but either way they're still Mike's jeans since Will has never worn black jeans before s5 and Mike has, Will is stealing his boyfriend's clothes, plus Mike is wearing Will's shoes in s5 <33
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Byler is so obviously gonna happen even without all those proofs because they gave mlvn the stancy storyline of Nancy not being able to say "I love you" to Steve because she's in love with Jonathan and they didn't give that storyline to Jopper, Lumax and Jancy or even Duzie which are healthy couples who don't lie about who they are to each other and never felt unloved by their partners, and Mike wants to feel needed and Will needs him and El doesn't and Millie said El realized she's her own superhero and that she's gonna figure out who she is without Mike and Millie is not promoting mlvn anymore
Mike and Will spent s3 acting like they were the exes because in s2 Mike was overly affectionate with Will but he stopped doing that when he got a gf because he saw what he did as romantic so in his mind being affectionate with Will even just hugging him or just holding his hand like he did in s2 would be cheating because he's in love with Will and he's gay
Mike becomes less and less interested in El the more feminine she becomes, it becomes more difficult for him to pretend he's straight i mean he "fell in love" with her when she looked like a boy and people kept calling her a boy..
Mike probably thought she was a boy at first, everyone kept calling El the boy with the buzzcut at first in s1 and Mike said "that's not Will" instead of "that's a girl" and interesting thing is the more feminine El becomes the less interested in her Mike becomes, he probably thought El was a boy at first and she was wearing a yellow shirt (Will's color) maybe she reminded him of Will?
I mean Mike being gay aside who would you rather for him to be with?
A, with someone who doesn't understand him and he feels like he has to change himself to be with and who makes him feel insicure?
B, with someone who he feels like he can fully be himself with and who understands him and who puts him on the first place and makes him feel loved? B right? with Will
Jancy had their "we're just friends" moment and they kissed in 2 and Jopper had their "it's just 2 friends getting together for a nice dinner" moment and they kissed in s4 , Lumax had their "she's not my girlfriend" moment and they kissed in s2 and Byler had their "we're friends, we're friends" moment (started by Mike who doesn't know Will is gay) and they'll kiss in s5, there were no moments like these between Dustin and Lucas because they're not in love with each other

Dooku didn't leave because of the Jedi.
At least, if you're going by George Lucas' word.
In deleted scenes of Attack of the Clones, when we learn about Dooku's departure and his values, there's no mention of the Jedi or "the Jedi Order as an institution".
And every time Lucas refers to Dooku's disenchantment and reason for falling, he doesn't mention the Jedi.
"When you realize that Dooku is Darth Tyranus, it explains what Darth Sidious did after Darth Maul was killed: he seduced a Jedi who had become disenchanted with the Republic. He preyed on that disenchantment and converted him to the dark side, which is also a setup for what happens with Anakin." - Mythmaking: Behind the Scenes of Attack of the Clones, 2002
"[Dooku is] one of the few Jedi who became disenchanted with the Republic and left the order and he is leading a separatist movement." - Vanity Fair, 2002
"I wanted a more sophisticated kind of villain. Dooku’s disenchantment with the corruption in the Empire is actually valid. It’s all valid.  So, Chris plays it as, 'Is he really a villain or is he just someone who is disenchanted and trying to make things right?'" - Starlog Magazine #300, 2002
He probably meant the Republic/Senate in that last one, but you get the point. And you're seeing the pattern, right?
Dooku's problem isn't the Jedi, it's the Republic.
He's become disenchanted with a system that - according to Lucas' prologue in the 2004 book Shatterpoint - worked for 1,000 years...
"For a thousand years, the Old Republic prospered and grew under the wise rule of the Senate and the protection of the venerable Jedi Knights."
... but has been rendered ineffective because of 1) senators becoming corrupt and 2) corporations gaining political power.
"But as often happens when wealth and power grow beyond all reasonable proportion, an evil fueled by greed arose. The massive organs of commerce mushroomed in power, the Senate became corrupt, and an ambitious named Palpatine was voted Supreme Chancellor."
That's the message Dooku runs on, when he rallies the systems to form the Separatist Alliance.
"By promising an alternative to the corruption and greed that was rotting the Republic from within, Dooku was able to persuade thousands of star systems to secede from the Republic."
The Jedi aren't really a factor in his decision to leave.
Why would they be? Their political status isn't very high, they're virtually powerless, as illustrated by the film's narrative and stated repeatedly by Lucas.
On the contrary, as we already established in this post, Lucas full-on confirmed that Dooku actually carries the sympathies of most of the Jedi. Again:
Most Jedi agree with Dooku, ideologically.
As far as the Jedi are concerned, the politicians are effing up the Republic, and it sucks because the Jedi see this but aren't allowed to interfere in the political process. They have to resort to looking for loopholes in their mandates to actually get stuff done.
That's what that whole "she's a politician" scene is meant to hint at. In the commentary of Attack of the Clones, Lucas uses a similar turn of phrase as he does with Dooku.
Tumblr media
"[This scene gives us] a chance to talk a little bit about politics and the Jedi’s disenchantment with the political process, due to the corruption and the ineffectiveness of the Senate." - Attack of the Clones, Director’s Commentary, 2002
Considering all this, it becomes clear that the intended narrative surrounding Dooku's decision to leave the Order is not:
"The Jedi are dogmatic and asleep at the wheel except for Dooku, who is ahead of the curb and sees the system is flawed, so he left."
It's actually:
"ALL Jedi see the system is flawed, Dooku's the only Jedi who decided to take it a step further and leave the Order so he can try to get into politics himself and change things."
That's why they hesitate to accuse him of murder.
Tumblr media
That's why in an earlier draft of the Attack of the Clones script, by the end of the second act, Mace STILL has his doubts that Dooku would sign a treaty with the Trade Federation to attack the Republic.
Tumblr media
As far as the Jedi are concerned, Dooku is out there fighting the good fight, making noise because whenever they try to protest it falls on deaf ears... until his betrayal on Geonosis.
After all, let's not get it twisted: the Dooku we're introduced to in the films and The Clone Wars, isn't really just Dooku anymore.
He's Darth Tyranus.
A point Lucas makes sure to highlight in his Shatterpoint prologue:
"Unbeknownst to most of his followers, Dooku was himself a Dark Lord of the Sith, acting in collusion with his master, Darth Sidious, who, over the years, had struck an unholy alliance with the greater forces of commerce and their private droid armies."
It's not about doing the selfless thing for Dooku, anymore. He's knowingly part of the problem.
He's all about ambition, now. His personal goals are things like overthrowing Sidious and becoming the most powerful Jedi.
Tumblr media
"[Anakin's] ambition and his dialogue here is the same as Dooku’s. He says “I will become more powerful than every Jedi.” And you’ll hear later on Dooku will say “I have become more powerful than any Jedi.” [...] It is possible for a Jedi to want to become more powerful, and control things." - Attack of the Clones, Director’s Commentary, 2002
Tumblr media
"If you put two Sith together, they try to get others to join them to get rid of the other Sith. [When revealing the truth to Obi-Wan], Dooku's ambition is really to get rid of Darth Sidious. He's trying to get Obi-Wan's assistance in that and help in that, so that he and Obi-Wan could overthrow Sidious and take over." - Attack of the Clones, Commentary Track 2, 2002
