You got up from the living room and walked to the kitchen. Luigi intently watched as you tasted the delicious tomato soup he was making on his cold and rainy night. You nearly fainted by how good it was.

Luigi's face turned into absolute happiness and joy. Him knowing that his cooking was delicious to you made him so happy. Nobody else's opinion mattered but yours.

Both of you have been together for almost three years now. You first met when your pipes in your house had broken and you had to call the Mario Brothers for help. They fixed your plumbing no problem and you even gave them a hefty tip due to their help and them willing to come at the very last second. Afterwards though, you had bumped into Luigi in public one day and well one thing led to another and the two of you became great friends. The two of you talked on the phone late at night till three in the morning or sometimes till the sun was rising and were attached to the hip. It wasn't long before Luigi confessed to his big brother Mario, which you have hung out with a few times and you both were cool with each other, that he had feelings for you. Of course Mario told Luigi just to tell you how he felt. Easier said than done. Mario was already in a relationship with his girlfriend Peach while Luigi had never been in a serious relationship before. He confessed to you one night on the phone as the previous day rolled into the next day. You were left so stunned that Luigi thought he ruined everything and started apologizing repeatedly. You had to reassure him and help meddle his anxiety that you did indeed feel the same way. That was nearly three years ago. And you both are happier than ever. Except there's one thing missing. Intimacy. It's always on both of their minds. You want Luigi to make the first move, and Luigi wants you to make the first move. They just haven't said it to each other before.

Dinner was eventually ready and he served both you and himself, but made sure you were served first before him. He always made sure of that. Luigi cares about you so much and loves you so much. He wants you to be first for everything.

"Oh thank you, Lui." You thanked him as he handed you your plate.

"Of course, my love."

Just hearing him call you my love always filled you with euphoria. You loved him so much. You wanted to take it to the next level, you just weren't sure if he was ready or not. As you both ate the delicious dinner Luigi cooked for the both of you, you thought of the right words to say to Luigi. You didn't want to scare him off or startle him by asking.

"Hey Lui?" You called to him.

Luigi looked up at you, letting you know nonverbally that you had his full undivided attention.

"So um we have been together for three years now. And you know I have been thinking long and hard about this but why don't we try and take it to the next level?"

Luigi eyes immediately went wide and his face turned beet red. You immediately regretted what you said.

"Mean to w-what?" He stuttered.

You can tell he was very flustered by your question. So flustered that he started to sweat.

"Well if you aren't ready then you aren't." You attempted to reassure him.

"W-Well that's the thing. I have been waiting for you to ask that."

You mentally facepalmed at what Luigi said. This whole time he was wanting to do this but never said anything.

"Honey! Why didn't you say anything to me?"

"I uh, w-well you see I don't know how to do that sort of thing. You're my first serious relationship you know." Luigi explained to you in a very flustered tone.

You then realized the reason why Luigi never said anything till you did was because he doesn't know how to do it.

"Luigi you still should've said something. I can very well teach and show you how." You reassured him lovingly, resting your hand on top of his.

Luigi stared at you. You can tell his heart was racing as well as his anxiety over this.

"But if you aren't ready then I can wait longer for you. I want our first time to be a magical moment." You reassured him as you scooted closer to Luigi.

Luigi just stared down. He was trying to figure on what to do. He wants this next level of relationship with you. He just wasn't sure if he would be any good or if he'd mess up too much.

"Besides, it will be your first time. It won't be perfect. Trust me. My first time wasn't perfect I can promise you that. And also you'll have your very own teacher to help you with that." You winked at Luigi when you said teacher, making him sheepishly chuckle.

Luigi thought about it for another moment. He just didn't want to mess this up nor the moment not be good. That's what made him anxious the most. But at the same time, he wanted this. He wanted this bond with you. Just the thought of you laying in bed, with him standing over you, with no clothes on instantly got him aroused, but he didn't admit to that. In the past he has accidently walked in on you changing by pure accident, you had a bad habit of not locking the door when changing, and has caught a glimpse once or twice. And he won't admit to it but after those glimpses, let's just say he had to lock himself in the bathroom for a minute or so.

Luigi then turned his attention back to you, and he had a reassuring smile on his face. You could read that his face was full of love and care for you. Whenever it was your turn to cook, he would wash the dishes for you after you were done cooking, even if you insisted. He would describe you with words such as stunning and gorgeous. He would always open the door for you and let you in through first, no matter where y'all were at. You would wake up to him soothing and calming you down if you were having a nightmare. And so so much more. He says it all the time, but you were truly the best person to ever come into his life.

"I do want this. But you have to promise to help me, okay?"

"I promise." You promised Luigi, reassuring him.

Luigi then got up and immediately started cleaning up the kitchen as quickly as he could and he came back to you.

"Well shall I take my lady up to the bedroom?" Luigi said, making you laugh.

You know he is trying to be smug and it was cute. You thought he was cute all the time no matter what but he was the cutest right now. You let Luigi come to you and ever so gently wrap his arms around you, hold you tight and lift you up out of the chair with your head leaning on his chest.

"I'm not going to drop you, (Y/N). I promise." Luigi reassured you as he took you to both of y'alls bedroom.

He then gently sat you down on the bed and went back to the front door to shut it. Luigi came back to you, standing in front of you. You can tell he was waiting for your commands and on what to do. His face turned beet red as he laughed sheepishly.

"U-Um..so." Luigi stuttered with an embarrassed tone.

"What's up, Lui?" You asked him, seeing his nerves get the best of him.

"D-Do you want me to take your clothes off?" Luigi stuttered, asking for your approval.

"I mean if you really want to then go for it." You were trying to let Luigi go at his own pace and be as patient as you possibly could and it was only cause you were so excited for this moment.

Luigi nodded as he approached you. You were sitting upright on the edge of the bed as Luigi got closer to you and started pulling your shirt off. Your shirt was halfway off when Luigi screeched to a halt. You looked and noticed that Luigi was looking down at your breasts, with a super dark red blush covering his face. Something I noticed about the music in the most adorable scene from the Mario Movie 🥹❤️💚✨

Yesterday I shared a post on my instagram account (san.marioluigifan) on something I noticed a while ago about the music that plays in the most adorable scene, and also one of my favorites, from the Mario Movie 🤭👀

I'm obviously referring to this scene 👇🥹❤️💚✨

Have you noticed the music that plays while Mario and Luigi hug? 🥹 We can hear the main theme of the movie, but it mixes with the Level Complete theme from Super Mario Bros. You can check it here! The main theme starts at minute 3.14, but then at 3.20, Level Complete from the NES game starts playing and it mixes perfectly well with the first one.

And it makes perfect sense! 🤩👏🏻 After all, everything Mario wants most for much of the movie plot is to be reunited with Luigi, and, since in this scene he's just rescued him and they're finally back together, we could say that Mario has, in a sense, completed the level 🤭🥹

I adore this scene with all my heart 🥹 From the first time I saw it in the cinema it reached deep inside, and every time I watch it again, I'm moved to tears - it's so beautiful and adorable and touching! 😭 It perfectly shows the strong and solid bond that exists between the siblings, filled with love and adoration, and I can’t help but melt every time I watch it 🥹❤️💚

I mean, look at their faces when Mario catches Luigi in mid-air and they see each other after days apart – they’re the picture of joy! 🥺😭 Luigi's smile couldn't be wider, I think it's the time he smiles the most in the whole movie, and Mario is so relieved to be reunited with his beloved little brother at last! 😭

In fact, he’s so happy that he can’t hug Luigi just once: notice how he joins his forehead to Luigi's in order to reassure him and make sure he’s safe and sound, notice how strongly and eagerly Mario hugs him a second time, notice how he lifts him up in the air out of sheer emotion! 😭 And his happy face when he finally puts Luigi on the ground 🥹 And Luigi's sigh of relief after understanding that he’s not dreaming and that his brother has really saved him and is back with him, AW 🥹💚❤️

This scene just makes my heart so warm! 😭💖 And when I realized that the Level Complete theme was playing, I was like, "This just makes this scene even more perfect than it already is! 👏🏻" I love it so much! 🥹💖

has your bowser ever captured mario? (besides the body-swap) if he did, how do you think it would play out?

I'd say not so much captured as "gotten the upper-hand through sheer brute force", catching and immobilizing the man in a fierce grip as soon as Mario found himself too exhausted to dodge the beast's attacks any longer. That's basically what happened in the concept I brought back this week: a scenario (unrelated to the body-swap) in which Mario loses the fight this time around. 😥

There's a wild variety of ways things could go from bad to a lot worse from there, but the most likely scenario is that upon said "victory", Bowser would swiftly alter his strategy and try to use Mario as leverage to get to Peach directly. >< He would revel in imagining her horror and haste upon learning about Mario's predicament, darkly amused and wickedly pleased to have found a sure way to cause her great distress and finally get her to cooperate.

...But like always, there's one element that he would grossly overlook and underestimate, like the pompous and overconfident tyrant that he is. One that he never even suspected could bring him any trouble at all, but which would ultimately change everything:

Why I love Luaisy

Welcome to another edition of "Why I love this ship!" In favor of the recent Mar10 day that had passed, I thought this time I'll tackle into why I love Luaisy!

Now, first off, what's Luaisy? Luaisy is the ship between Luigi and Daisy, both from the Super Mario series.

Now, what do I love about this ship? Well, just like with my Huntlow post, about everything, really! We've gotten some really cute moments between Luigi and Daisy over the years to match this as a secondary ship after Peach and Mario.

First off, let's go to the Gamecube era, with the first two games, Toadstool Tour and Power Tennis. In Toadstool Tour, at the opening of the game, Peach and Daisy call out to the two bros, with Peach calling out to Mario, her love interest and Daisy calls out to her love interest, Luigi. She even watches him play with style too in the intro.

Then, in Power Tennis, as shown in the gif below, Daisy calls Luigi "sweetie" in a cute way. Easily, this makes me giggle on the inside.

Oh, and we can't forget one of the most precious things with the two of them. Their own statues in shiny, glorious form on Daisy Circuit in both Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8 DX! These moments were the ones that really stood out to me the most.

The dynamic of Luigi and Daisy is something that my heart will never let go of, and I'll always cherish forever. To Daisy, Luigi's her #1. It's clear that Daisy has a big love interest in Luigi and she cares about him more than any other person in the Mushroom Kingdom. Together, they're an amazing pair-up and their love will blossom forever and ever.

Couple Songs Playlist Headcanons - Mareach and Luaisy Edition

When I was more active in the JoJo’s Bizarre adventure community on Instagram around 2019-2022, I was part of the art and ocs community.

Many people started doing stuff like making Spotify playlists of songs that describe their Oc and other oc relationship aspects. I remember finding this SUPER fun to do. And I miss it. So, I decided to try it out with Mario and Peach first! (Just a teeny break from my much-loved Luaisy fixation!)

So without further ado, here’s a list of songs based on what I can find in my (Many) Spotify playlists. A bit challenging to find good ones!

This will have labels indicating indicating who’s mostly singing about who. Either one person referring to the other, or a Duet that includes both at the same time.

On one side, Mario would have the thought that Peach is simply so amazing. Someone so elegant, pure and beautiful. Someone just way out of his league. These thoughts would often show through hints of resistance at first. He and the Princess are just friends…right?

But the moment he fully accepts his feelings, he becomes so outspoken of his love. So some songs I’ve decided to choose from my playlist, tend to be about wondering if Peach feels for him, like he feels for her. A bit of doubt. But other than that, he shows protectiveness, Being her shield to danger. Also A bit more impulsive, energetic and upbeat in some parts. But with no matter what, he will always give her words of reassurance to make sure everything is okay.

BURN FOR YOU 🔥💚

SUMMARY: Luigi found himself in a strange alien world, alone and terrified. But perhaps this place isn't so bad?

Chapter 13:

The next morning was as awkward as the previous ones. Luigi found himself spending more time in the room he was sharing with Mario rather than outside, wrapped in his blanket and missing the heat from the Koopa Kingdom. He was brooding. No. He was sulking.

Sadly, Mario, seemed to prefer the princess's company. He didn't blame his brother for leaving him alone but it still hurt. Deeply.

And just like many times before, his mind was kept going back to his time with King Bowser. It made him flustered. Confused. Lonely. He wanted to know how was the giant koopa doing. Was he healed? Was he thinking about him? How about Junior. Did the little boy miss him too? Luigi blinked away the tears gathered in his eyes with the palm of his hand, unsure why he was crying. He's fine, isn't he? He's not sad. He's not hurt. He's... He doesn't know.

He cuddled closer under his blanket, legs against his chest, hugging himself.

'Soon. It should be done by tomorrow.' Kamek thought determinedly despite the soreness in his bones and the tiredness in his eyes. In his age, not sleeping for a whole day is detrimental.

Whipping the sweat from his forehead, the old magikoopa took a step back to look at what he created. It was rushed and it would probably not work more than once. 'It should do.' He kept thinking to reassure himself. 'It has to be enough. For my son. For my family.' He added in the last second.

Peach stared at the human in red, her mind going in circles. She was, in the end, unable to rest during the previous night. How to make Mario's brother see what's right in front of them? Bowser is not a good guy. He's a monster, someone who tried multiple times to marry her. He didn't start by kidnapping her, of course. Indeed, initially all he did was send letter after letter. After letter. In all of them he asked her the same thing in different words:

<<"I saw you during one of my travels. Princess Peach, I have to admit I admire your strength and your beauty. Your eyes shine like no other jewel..."

"Today I couldn't think about anything else but you, Princess Peach. The way you beat those boos? Just amazing! Did you know I punished the Boos after what they did to you and your people? I hope everyone's alright..."

"As I turn and turn on my bed, I keep going back to the first time you talked to me. It was during your coronation, remember? I was invited as the King of the Koopas. You smiled at me. I wanted to ask you for help..."

"Would you do the honor to marry me, Princess Peach? I know it seems rushed. We can talk properly after our next meeting. I will explain everything to you..."

"Peach, I wish to marry you. It's an emergency. Reply as soon as you're able..."

"Did I do something wrong? You didn't reply to any of my letters. Have you not been receiving them? If so, I will make sure this time you do..."

"I don't know what else to do, Peaches. I haven't seen you after your coronation unless it's from afar or in a mandatory meeting with all the royals. I never seem to catch you alone long enough to talk to you. My letters remain unanswered and the others keep ignoring every word I say...">>

He kept insisting on meeting and marrying. There would be no wedding if she can avoid it. Luigi must see that too.

However, things got worse when he started to try to meet her in person. With smiles too wide, showing off his giant fangs. With red piercing eyes glued to her. She shuddered, the hair in the back of her neck standing up. She hated having his full attention. That was until... Until Luigi and Mario appeared. One second he's in front of her and the next he was under the lava. Maybe less than a second. She couldn’t tell. And that's were her predicament lied on.

"Princess Daisy, this is Mario. Mario, this is Princess Daisy from Sarasaland." She introduced them. Watching Mario greet her, she then turned to Daisy. "Is there a reason you're here, Princess Daisy?"

"Oh, none of that 'princess stuff'. Too stiff. Too cold." Reprimanded her old friend, scowling at Peach in mock anger. The blonde couldn't help but smile, if only a little, some of the stress from these last days leaving her shoulders.

"I'm sorry. I haven't seen you in such a long time." She excused her lack of familiarity with Daisy, blaming it on her duties as Princess. Mainly anything to do with Bowser. She stepped closer to the other, her arms stretched out and inviting. With a wide smile, the brunette closed their distance in a small jump, accepting the warm hug. Just like when they were kids. She hugged her tightly before letting go and promptly looking inquisitively at the human in red. Peach could already imagine all the questions her fellow princess had. It's not everyday they have other humans in their world.

"Mario, right?" He nodded hesitantly. "You are a human!" She exclaimed excitedly, clapping her hands with enthusiasm. Mario stole a quick glance at Peach, a bit confused. Understandably.

"Yeah?"

"Peach haven't told you Humans are very rare here, have she?" She sounded amused. He shrugged helplessly. She didn't explain. He just assumed...

"So, why are humans rare?"

His question simply got a secret smile on her lips. Odd, he thought. Surely, there's no reason to keep it a secret, not when she just mentioned it nonchalantly.

Peach rolled her eyes, something she wouldn't have done in the presence of her Toads or other royals. "Stop it, Daisy. It's because of the green pipe." She explained the last part to Mario, turning in his direction. "There's only one, to our knowledge, connected to the human realm. Which appears and disappears at random. No one has found out any pattern. Yet." Her brows furrowed in thought. The mystery of her origins has always intrigued her.

"Do you think we were sent here for a reason?" He wondered aloud, getting their full attention.

"It's a possibility." Peach couldn't deny it.

"We?" Daisy questioned, certain he wasn't referring to Peach or her.

"Ah. Yes, my brother, Luigi. We kinda got separated and... Well, what matters is that we are together again." He hastily explained. He wasn't sure how much the other princess knows about what happened with Bowser. Did Peach tell her? Would it be okay sharing said information with a stranger (to him) without Luigi's consent? He was still adamant his little brother had a good reason to believe King Bowser is a good person. Koopa, he corrected himself. He saved his brother's life, after all. Someone evil wouldn't do that... would they?

"I'd like to meet your brother." Daisy grinned. "After all, he's pretty famous after the stunt he pulled off. Although I was unaware it was your brother. Or another human, by that matter." She discreetly looked at Peach, who seemed to have realised what her friend was thinking.

"Not now, Daisy. Luigi is... not in his best state of mind." She warned the princess of Sarasaland, wincing at what Daisy did when they first met. They were kids so that could be excused. Not so much now. Her friend simply shrugged her shoulders, clearly not deterred by her words.

"My fratellino is doing better." Mario interrupted their conversation, annoyed at the lack of acknowledgement he was receiving. They were talking about his brother as if he wasn't there.

Peach quickly realised her miskate, feeling guilty. "I apologise, Mario. It wasn't my intention." She shot a warning glare at Daisy when she saw her about to open her mouth. To say something insensitive, no doubts. She knows her well.

"Yeah. That. Apologies." She uttered. "Anyway. Come on, Peach. Tell me what really happened. All I heard were rumours, not the whole thing." Daisy was as persistent as she remembers her to be. With another quick glance at Mario, who nodded at her in permission, she stirred them towards the Garden to talk more comfortably. And privately. There was so much she needed to tell her friend.

Luigi heard some noises outside, disrupting his daydreaming. His eyes opened slowly, half asleep. Getting out of the bed with some difficulties, Luigi approached the door while listening tiny feets running around. He was still in his pajamas.

There were even more voices now.

After so many days in his head, he felt he needed some fresh air and this felt like the best opportunity to do so. So, with some trepidation, he opened slightly the door, peaking outside at the Toads a few meters from his room. There were around five of them and they seemed unaware of his presence.

"Did you hear? Princess Diasy came to visit Princess Peach." One of them exclaimed loudly.

"I know! I was there when it happened. That's why I'm here. Quick, tell everyone else. We need to hurry and get everything ready." The other Toad said in a hurry, his tiny feet running in the same spot. They were very energetic because of this Princess Daisy.

Another Principessa, thought Luigi. Curiosity was soon replacing his nervousness, as he opened completely the door to find the Toads already left. Uh. His eyes opened wide when an idea formed in his head. There were no guarantees it would work. Unfortunately, he didn't know the castle well enough and he didn't know how to get to Bowser's. But Princess Daisy might. For that, he needed to get to know her. Feeling the shame rising inside him at the idea of using an innocent to get what he wants, he tried to shove it deep inside of him. It was a necessary evil. They'll understand. He winced internally. That's not true, they won't understand. But first, he needs to be presentable. With that in mind, Luigi went back inside and headed towards the bathroom to freshen up. He didn't really have a chance of clothing beyond his own overalls. Luckily for him, those were still clean enough to use for another day.

How about an angsty "Deity AU" for the Bros?

PREMISE

Mario and Luigi are gods who watch over and protect the universe. But after a run in with another dark and evil god (Bowser) one of the Bros goes missing or is killed.

(for the sake of good ol' angst let's say it's Luigi)

Mario flies into an anguished rage, and proceeds to unleash wrath upon everything, because he refuses to continue to protect the universe that took his brother from him.

He has also fallen in love with the mortal princess, Peach, and wishes to spare her from his wrath. But Peach choses to stay with her people, as she recognises that Mario is too far gone into his grief to ever make amends.

I'll add stuff in time if I think of anything, but everyone else is welcome to add and suggest anything else ^^

SOME EXTRA BITS

This AU is slightly on the mature side (as with almost every other myth and legend involving gods) but definitely not leaning into anything immoral that a lot of them tend to contain!

- Deity Mario has power over fire. He can create warm weather when happy and becomes as hot as lava when angry.

- Deity Luigi has power over lightning. He can create rain to provide for the people, and creates thunderstorms when angry.

- Mario and Peach strike up a relationship after Mario visits the mortal world in human form. After subsequent visits, Peach begins to grow suspicious and Mario reveals his immortal status. Peach is very much in love with him and is totally ok with this, and the two have a passionate night together ❤💗

- Likewise, Luigi falls for Daisy, a beautiful nymph who he spots wandering in a forest. When he goes to visit her she is naturally terrified of him, but soon starts to see he really is just a gentle soul, and the two get into a serious relationship 💚💛

I've been thinking about sharing some of my headcanons for Spiny Mushroom and little bit Bowuigi and Mareach, I hope you all like this post and tell what do you think about these headcanons!

💙🐢Kipbert/Spiny Mushroom headcanons!🍄💙

Toadbert is the youngest brother of Russ T. (From Paper Mario 64) and Hint Toad from Toad Brigade (which I named him Tyler Toad) as well as the youngest son of Toarge Toad (Toad General) and Toadeliah Toad (My OC)

Parakipper sometimes have a hard time to control his anger issues because of his explosive power and almost ready to crash everything on his way in fury. Luckily, Toadbert is able to calm him down.

Toadbert and Parakipper often share each other some questions about mysteries of worlds, science of species, basics of fighting skills and so on. Even kinds of books they like to read.

Whenever Toadbert gets tired from work in Peach's castle, Parakipper tries to be right here for him, so Bert wouldn't feel lonely (of course if he wish himself)

Parakipper teaches Toadbert the basics of fighting and self-defence skills, so Bert could defend himself in expedition with his older brother and Toad Brigade.

💚🐢Bowuigi headcanons!👨‍🦱💚

Bowser and Luigi love to paint portraits of beautiful places they visited with Bowser Jr. and Koopalings.

Luigi uses pet names such as Bowsie, Bow-Bow, my precious king and so on, while Bowser calls him Lu, Cutie Green, my brave hero.

Luigi likes to pull funny pranks on Bowser with children on April Fools, or sometimes Bowser pulls pranks on him.

❤👨‍🦱 Mareach Headcanons! 👸💖

Mario and Peach always participate in many sorts of activities together, such as karting, tennis, volleyball, golfing, even competing with Luigi and Bowser, having so much fun.

Peach cheers for Mario on friendly armwrestling with Bowser, even if he sometimes loses the round.

Peach loves to call Mario my beautiful knight, Mar and my lovely superstar, while Mario calls her Peachy, dear and my love.

I can tell Luigi would teach Mario about the ways of fighting and about how the Mushroom Kingdom once they reunite but until then, they just wanna stay together and catch up on what’s been going on on both sides.

And yeah, they both would catch up once they reunite, although Luigi would be a lot more reservated on revealing some details of everything he's been through, due to some questionable things he did in the past.

Mario would be eager to get back in the saddle, but he's rusty and out of shape now, so Luigi and Peach will have to train him again. Luigi would teach his big bro everything he has learned these past years about fighting, including new Power-Ups and his Thunderhand (Mario would eventually get the Firehand).

But there's one obstacle the twins will have to face, and that's the fact that they've been apart for too long that Luigi has forgotten how to work as a team, so it'll up to Mario to teach him again how to do it, and Mario would also learn that Luigi doesn't need to be protected all the time and that he can handle himself pretty well. They'll learn from each other until they become the Super Mario Bros. again ❤️💚✨

Summary: You are Spiderwoman, and after saving the city one day, you walk home to find a short Italian man nearly getting robbed and you step in to help him.

"Your usual, (L/N)?" The barista, Cadence, asked you.

"Yes, ma'am." You answer, pulling your wallet out.

"Oh, it's on the house today." Cadence stopped you.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, ma'am. For what you did for us yesterday, you deserve it." Cadence recalled yesterday events.

Yesterday, the beloved coffee shop of Brooklyn city was being robbed by a group of goons and luckily you, Spiderwoman, was able to save the day and take down the goons without anyone getting hurt, besides the goons.

"Oh really, it's no big deal. It's what I do." You comment, making Cadence smile at you.

Cadence finished making your drink and handed it to you. You then grabbed out a twenty dollar bill and handed it to Cadence.

"Take it, please. For your kindness." You reassured her.

"Thank you, Ms. (L/N). Enjoy your day." Cadence, thanks you as she took the tip from you.

"You too, Cadence." You say as you exit the store with your drink.

It has been a chill day so far here in Brooklyn City, and while you loved saving people and keeping peace in the city, you enjoyed a day where you didn't have to do much. You enjoyed being Spiderwoman, but it exhausted you as well. You felt as though it was hard to be a normal person since everyone knows your identity and what you look like, and people like to approach you all the time. Fans were nice and respectful most of the time, but it was the paparazzi and the news reporters that drove you nuts. But you had to go with the flow cause if you said the wrong thing, then they could twist it, and everyone would hate you, and you didn't want that. Not at all. You had just finished your drink and were tossing it in a nearby trashcan, thinking about what to do next.

"S-Stop!! Leave me alone! Help!" A voice cried out from a distance.

It sounded like it came from a young male, and thanks to your super hearing, you were able to pinpoint exactly where the voice was coming from. You quickly ran to where the voice was at and came across an alleyway. Down the ways was a group of thugs, picking up and throwing down a young, short male. What on Earth were they doing that poor young male?

"Give us all you got!" One thug yelled at him.

The young male wore green and sported a thick mustache.

"I-I already gave you everything I got! Just leave me alone, p-please." The young male pleaded.

The young male was terrified and practically trying to get away, but the thugs weren't having it. One of the thugs grabbed the young male by his overalls and held him up.

"Do we have to strip you down to prove it?" The thug threatened.

The young male's eyes went wide in fear. You could sense that he was, in fact being honest, but the thugs were just wanting to cause more harm for the hell of it. You couldn't stand to see this anymore.

"Hey!! Leave him the hell alone!" You scream out.

Three of the thugs looked at you in fear, realizing who you were, but the main thug who was holding the young male wasn't fazed by you.

"Heh, oh, look, it's Spider-Bitch!" The main thug laughed at you.

"Why don't we do this the easy way, and you just let that young gentleman go?" You announce, approaching them close.

The young male's eyes were locked on you. He was nonverbally begging you to save him. You gave him a reassuring look, trying to ease his worries.

"Why should I?" The thug taunted you.

You quickly shot a web at the thug which wrapped around his wrist, and you yanked the web down harshly, causing the thug to drop the young man but get beaten down to the ground. The young male immediately scooted far away from the scene and cowered in fest.

"You..you bitch!" The thug yelled as he was struggling to get up.

"Come on, man, let's go!" One of the scared thugs pleaded to him.

"NAH!! She thinks she can do that and be let go? I don't think so!!" The thug screams at you.

He was pissed off, but you didn't care.

"No, I just don't like it when people pick on others for no reason." You scowled.

The thug tried to throw a punch at you, but you caught it with your hand. Before he could even react, you headbutted him hard on his forehead. It hurt him, but it didn't even make you wince.

"Sh-Shit." The thug groaned in pain.

But he struggled to get to his feet as he tried to approach you, but you just shot a web at his leg, yanked on it, which caused him to fall face first onto the ground. The thug groaned in pain as the other three cowared in fear.

"Get him, get lost, and I won't throw y'all in jail."

The three thugs immediately grabbed the hurt thug that was on the ground and struggled to run away. You kept your eyes on the thugs until they were gone from sight. Thank God.

"Th-Thank you." A quivering voice spoke out.

You turned to find the young male on the ground, holding his legs to his chest, with his eyes gleaming up at you.

"You don't need to thank me, I promise. It's just what I do." You reassured the young male, squatting to get to his level.

The young male looked up at you fully. He was quite handsome, you thought. His big blue eyes, a mustache, and brown shaggy hair underneath the green hat he was wearing.

"Did they hurt you?" You ask to reassure him.

The young man pulled up his sleeve, and there was a nasty scab on his arm.

"Oh, here. Let me help you." You say as you take your glove off.

The young male was concerned, but he knew who you were. You were Spiderwoman, and he trusted you. You wrapped your hand around the scab, and you could feel your healing powers get onto his skin. The young male winced a little but he kept still.

"I'm sorry." You apologize.

"N-No, it's okay. You're helping." The young male reassured you.

As quick as it started, it was over. You released your hand and there was no scab there. Just smooth and clean skin.

"Oh wow. Thank you, Spiderwoman." He thanked you.

"Oh please. Just call me (Y/N). I insist." You sat.

You help the young male to his feet, and he is just barely taller than you.

"Oh, what's your name?" You ask.

The young male's face flushed pink a little but you didn't comment on it to avoid embarrassing him.

"Uh, Luigi." He answers.

"Aw, I like that name, Luigi." You say, and Luigi blushed some more.

"Want me to walk you to your place?" You offer, noticing it was getting dark out.

"Y-Yeah. I would love that, thank you, (Y/N)." Luigi thanks you.

"No problem, Luigi."

The two of you left the alleyway and started the walk to Luigi's place. As you both walked, you two started chatting it up and getting to know each other. Not only was he handsome but he was also super polite, kind and funny. He thought the same of you of course. You both were sadden when y'all both eventually arrived at Luigi's place but you asked for Luigi's number and to keep it a secret. Luigi had sworn to secrecy as you gave him your number. As you were leaving, you couldn't help but think of the friendship and possible relationship that was going to unfold with Luigi in the near future.

Mario and Luigi: Musicians 🎶

Yesterday I came up with an idea: what would Mario and Luigi be like as musicians? I mentioned it here first, and then the amazing @itsavee4117 did some research and found out what instruments each brother can cannonically play, though they also added two more with which I totally agree. So here's the list:

Instruments that Mario can play: piano, guitar, synthesizer, xylophone, saxophone, timpani and trumpet.

Instruments that Luigi can play: violin, acoustic guitar, ukulele and double bass too!

With this, and with the ideas I had started cooking up yesterday thanks to my favorite band releasing a new album, I ended up coming up with three ideas! 😁 So yeah, this may end up being a bit long, so make sure to grab a snack or a drink before reading!

For the first idea, since I was inspired by my favorite band (Estopa, a band formed by two brothers from a town near Barcelona), I'll be adding (mostly at the end of the first part) the links to some reference pictures so you can see where I got some of my ideas 🥰

Without further ado: let's go! ❤️💚✨

1. First idea: Band

Both Mario and Luigi have always had very good voices. Since they were little, the two would often sing for fun, and they continue to do so nowadays, especially when they’re cleaning. They put on their own concerts with their broom and mop and do their own dances. When they live in Brooklyn, their family often joins them, and they all sing together while cleaning, but Mario and Luigi's voices always stand out. In the Mushroom Kingdom, their neighbors Toads always delight in listening to them every time it's thorough cleaning day in the brothers' home.

They both start playing different instruments just for fun. Mario, being so frisky and energetic, wants to try everything, which is why he decides to learn to play not one, but several instruments: piano, synthesizer, saxophone, trumpet, electric guitar, timpani and xylophone. It seems a lot to take on, but all it takes is for someone (aka his father) to tell Mario that he can't play so many instruments for him to put all his efforts into learning each and every one of them. The result? He's pretty good at them all, with piano, electric guitar and trumpet being his main specialties. And his favorites, too.

In Luigi's case, he wanted to focus on a single instrument, his favorite: the violin. He started practicing at a very young age and has been practicing every day since then, only missing a few days for reasons of force majeure (a family problem, something that triggered his anxiety...). When he takes up the instrument again, however, he feels better and calmer, his anxiety and problems disappear with every note he plucks on its strings, and he always feels the music so deeply that he doesn't even realize that his melodies hypnotize and enrapture those who listen to them. He always ends up all flushed and overwhelmed when, after finishing a piece, he realizes that he’s the center of attention.

He began to try his hand at the guitar in his teens, after listening to Mario practicing with the electric guitar. He opted for the acoustic, however, softer and gentler, and has become a great guitarist. Also, for fun, he tried the ukulele and liked it quite a bit, and he's also made his first steps on the double bass until becoming very good at it. He's always open to trying new string instruments in the future. They're his specialty and his favorite.

At some parties and family events, the brothers have shown off their skills with their respective instruments. On more than one occasion, they have joined on an improvised stage, Mario with the electric guitar, Luigi with the acoustic, and have sung duets of some of their favorite Italian songs to the delight of their whole family.

Shortly after arriving in the Mushroom Kingdom, as soon as Peach finds out that both brothers are quite good musicians, she immediately asks them to play in some of the typical festivities of her kingdom. Both are reluctant at first, shy and insecure, but in the end, Mario, always willing to please his beloved princess, finally agrees. He brings all his instruments from home and dedicates a whole private session to Peach, wanting, without really realizing it, to impress her with all the instruments he can play. And Peach is indeed super impressed!

Luigi, being more insecure and not wanting to be the center of attention, is much less willing to agree to the princess' request, and she, always so kind, does not press him, respecting his shyness. Mario, on the other hand, tries to convince his brother: with a soft and comforting voice, he tells him that it will be just like changing audiences, since, instead of their family, they’ll have the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom being amazed by their music. And, of course, Mario will always be on stage with him, so Luigi can choose to stay further back while Mario remains in the spotlight. "If you want to, Lu," Mario tells him at the end, a warm smile on his lips. "We can do it that way if you want, but if you're still not sure, you can stay next to Peach and watch me play."

This causes Luigi to give him a sly look. "You just want the princess to admire you," he says with a chuckle, nudging him. Mario looks at him puzzled. "What are you talking about?" And Luigi, still laughing, eventually agrees. "All right, I'll do it. I'll play with you."

Before starting, since Luigi is very nervous and anxiety is eating at him, Mario stands in front of him, puts his hands on Luigi's shoulders and calls out to him in a low voice. He slowly lifts his brother's chin to get Luigi to look at him and, once he has his attention, looks him intently in the eyes as he rests his forehead on Luigi's. "It's going to be okay," Mario tells him. "We're doing this for fun, okay? We're in time to stop if you don't want to continue."

But Luigi nods, nervous but determined at the same time, and Mario, smiling proudly, places his index finger between Luigi’s eyebrows. "Focus," he whispers to his brother in a soothing voice. "All that matters is playing music and having a good time." Luigi, though somewhat taken aback at first, closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, and, while Mario's finger is still resting on his forehead, Luigi reaches up and puts his index finger between Mario's eyebrows as well (reference image). They both smile with their eyes closed and take a deep breath before separating, and, with a smile and a nod, they get ready to start.

Thus begins what ends up becoming a habit: the brothers, armed with their respective guitars, get on stage together and sing their favorite Italian songs, but also different versions of various well-known and famous songs in Brooklyn (and in all of America). Peach, in time, also tells them about the most popular tunes of the Mushroom Kingdom, and they do not hesitate to incorporate them into their repertoire after rehearsing them.

As Mario suggested, he stands center stage, with all the spotlights on him. He plays his electric guitar and sings, and throws knowing glances at Luigi from time to time. His brother remains a few steps behind, standing in front of his microphone, playing his acoustic guitar and backing him up. Respecting his wishes, which Peach has made sure to communicate the Toads in charge of the lighting, only one spotlight is pointed at him.

Fortunately, once they start singing, Luigi gradually loosens up, letting himself be carried away by the music, and forgets his shyness. Therefore, both brothers end up singing equally and putting all their souls and passion into their songs. Mario, encouraged to see Luigi more devoted to music and less overwhelmed, dares to approach him. They play their respective guitars back-to-back, giving their best shot (reference image though Mario plays an electric guitar), and often share Luigi's microphone: Mario forgets his own and approaches his brother, and both, without stopping playing, look at each other while using the same mic, singing with all their will (reference image). More than once, at the end of a verse or a song, they quickly put their foreheads together before turning to the audience (reference image), a gesture that makes them feel more united and in tune, and also at peace, as they’re sharing their passion for music with their favorite person in the whole world.

I know the last picture wasn't really necesary, since we all know Mario and Luigi do the forehead touch all the time, but honestly, seeing my favorite band doing it too fills me with so much joy I simply wanted to include it 🤭🥹 A few more references:

So this is it! This is my favorite band and this is how I picture our beloved brothers being on stage 🥹 I think it'd be AMAZING to see them live! 🤩💚❤️

As for Estopa, in case you're curious, the older brother is David, the singer, the one with the goatee, and the guitarist is Jose, the younger brother. They're not twins, but in many interviews they've stated that they feel as if they were. They're just as close as Mario and Luigi are and I love them 🥹 (both Estopa and the Mario brothers!)

On to the second idea! ✨

2. Second idea: Classical Music

Since Mario and Luigi can play more instruments, Peach soon comes up with an idea where they can show off their other musical skills. When she organizes balls and receptions to strengthen ties with other kingdoms, Mario and Luigi are invited to liven up the evening, the former sitting at the piano, the latter with his violin in his hands. They usually start with a piano solo that gets all the applause from the audience, since Mario is really very good, but then Luigi starts playing the violin and everyone is spellbound by the sweetness and mastery of the youngest of the brothers with this beautiful instrument. Of course, Mario is always the first to acclaim him, full of pride, just as Luigi is the first to praise Mario with his piano solos.

Often, the two of them join both instruments and play beautiful classical pieces, both completely devoted to the beauty of the notes they pluck on the piano and violin. The audience is always bewitched listening to them, completely captivated, with Peach and Daisy being the first to deeply admire the brothers' artistic talents. The only bad part? That, since they’re the ones who are creating such beautiful music, they don't have the chance to dance to it with their respective princesses. Fortunately, Peach takes into consideration that Mario and Luigi will also want to enjoy the evening and not just enliven it, so she hires a talented orchestra of Toads so that both she and her friend Daisy have the opportunity to dance with both plumbers in the purest Pride and Prejudice style.

(None of the princesses knows what Pride and Prejudice is at first, but Luigi will be sure to explain to both of them what his favorite book is about, and Peach will end up reading it and loving it too. This will make both she and Luigi appreciate in greater depth every step they take in their dances with Mario and Daisy respectively).

Here, I have to say I imagine them playing a duet of Howl's Moving Castle. Yes, I know I also used that song for my Luaisy fanfic, but it's so beautiful I believe it totally fits! ✨

3. Third idea: New Donk City Festival

Mayor Pauline organizes an annual festival to commemorate the history of her city, and, since she’s not only the mayor but also a singer, she loves to sing and dance every year in front of her devoted audience. Learning of Mario and Luigi's musical prowess, she does not hesitate to invite them to join her for this year's festival, and Mario, seeing it as an opportunity to play more than one instrument, gladly accepts. Luigi, laughing at his brother's enthusiasm, agrees, again, to stay behind, this time switching between his guitar and his double bass, and also backing vocals for Pauline. Mario, for his part, asks to have on hand every instrument he can play while on stage.

Thus, when the night of the festival arrives, Luigi stands behind Pauline, with his guitar and his voice, and sometimes playing his double bass instead. Pauline often turns to him and gives him broad smiles with which she intends both to thank him for sharing his talent with her and to encourage him to keep it up.

As for Mario, he keeps switching instruments. Pauline has not hesitated to comply with his request, so Mario moves around the stage, and at each new song, he changes instruments. The xylophone, the saxophone, the keyboard, the trumpet... Mario is delighted to be able to show off such versatility and play each of his instruments according to what each song requires, and both Pauline and Luigi are happy to see him so joyful and enthusiastic.

In the last song, since Mario has already tried all his instruments, he gets carried away by the music and Pauline's voice and, still excited and energetic, runs to Luigi, takes him by the hand and drags him until they’re both right behind Pauline. Mario then begins to dance without letting go of his brother's hands, encouraging him to do the same, and Pauline starts to clap her hands while continuing to sing. Luigi, despite his initial confusion, eventually lets go as well, so that the two brothers dance together on stage while Pauline concludes the festival. The two of them, besides being good musicians and singers, are also very good dancers.

Here you can picture Mario dancing like he does in Super Mario Odyssey and Luigi dancing like he does in Luigi's Mansion 2 and 3.

(Though without the scaried face 😂)

So this is it! 😁 These are the ideas I came up with for our favorite brothers being musicians 🥰 It's an idea I honestly love and that makes my love and devotion for the Mario brothers grow 🥹
