Since it is the year of the dragon, time to show the two 'dragon' clones that I made months ago and never shown anywhere (there are so many clones I haven't shown yet, please help me (silly))
Amaretto might look like a dragon, but is actually made up of various different animal DNA (mostly lizards, bats and goats), making him technically not a dragon - It was either too hard for Mr D'Angiolini to acquire an actual dragon, or they simply Do Not exist - So he can't fly or breathe fire (and he is definitely not bitter about that), But he is pretty venomous, so don't let him bite ya!!! Is he more standoffish and grumpy rather than straight up aggressive, but he is pretty hot-headed and easy to rile up if you push the right buttons
Edam is a giant clone (not Chickpea-sized, but still considerably large, which is why average-sized Amaretto looks small), and they are made with Cheese Dragon DNA - which since Cheese Dragons are creations of the Tower, it was much easier to get access to their DNA - So Edam can fly (and is actually one of the few clones who can, and certainly the only giant clone who can) and they can breathe fire, but they much prefer to chill and be friendly, so they don't do either of much
And they are friends, bc we love giant softie and tiny grump friendships here!!!

My children and I just love the cowplant, so of course I made a whole bunch of cheese hybrids; which you can grow. I got permission from @aroundthesims to share my custom cheese ingredients I made with her edible cheese. You can find the originals here.
The new ingredients can all be found at the grocery store in the “Dairy” tab. I have not made any custom recipes for these, however any recipe that uses the EA cheese can now also use any of these 14 cheese types.   1. Brie   2. Camembert   3. Cheddar   4. Edam   5. Emmental   6. Epoisses   7. Goat Cheese   8. Gouda   9. Maroilles 10. Mimolette 11. Sainte-MaureDeTouraine 12. Shropshire 13. Stilton 14. Tome To be able to plant them you will need to have learnt how to plant cheese by completing the Uncommonly Good gardening opportunity. All 14 ingredients grow on my cowplant, however each ingredient has it’s own custom lure to match the cheese which grows. The Tome is shown in the example above.

What is cheese in your country eaten with and how does it taste?
Usually here is cheese slapped on bread and eaten like that, or grated on pasta.
The "base" cheese which most people buy and to which they compare the others is Gouda. Gouda is mild of taste, inoffensive, but also here you won't get Gouda that will blow yours socks off. It is cheap for cheese. A cheaper alternative is Edam. Edam is boring, it tastes like wet milk fat. Neither Gouda nor Edam are Czech cheeses, but they are the most commonly bought. Both are hard cheeses.
Probably the most commonly bought Czech cheese is Hermelín. It is an imitation of Camembert, the name actually means "ermin stole" and it comes from the white mould coating. It is soft and a little tangy, a good and well aged Hermelín will have a bit tougher core. In my opinion it is somewhat more flavourful than Camembert, but it is not so soft. It is good for charcuterie boards, can be served marinated in oil with onion and usually some herbs and pepper (that is "pickled"), or covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried like a schnitzel and then served with usually fries and cranberry sauce/marmalade. You can, of course, also cut it in slices and slap it on the bread, but that is incredibly barbaric. Everyone here does it. Hermelín pairs well with white wine, but pickled/marinated is a beer thing.
What I see often in stores but not often bought, save for my grandma, is Blaťácké zlato ("quag gold"). It is a knock off of Bel Paese. It is a bit tart, soft, kinda feels like eraser in your mouth. It is boring. It can be made interesting by inserts, for example green pepper or walnuts. It is recommended to accompany white wines, I suppose to make you appreciate that you have something besides the cheese. If you leave it long enough next to unpacked Hermelín (or Camembert), it will adopt the mould and in a week or two you'll have a new Hermelín piece.
Niva ("floodplain") is a cheese that people either love or hate, very rarely they are indifferent. It is an imitation of Roquefort, but it is made out of cow milk instead of sheep, so it feels less aggressive if you grew up on cow milk (most people have). It is a semi-hard crumbly cheese, if it is really aged it becomes less crumbly and more spreadable, like butter. It has blue-green mould through it, and it tastes quite salty and mould-spicy. It is an affordable bluegreen mould cheese and it doesn't have any strong (or weak) odour, which for a lot of people is a plus. a thing you might want to slap on quatro formaggi pizza. I like grilled cheese including niva. I am not aware of niva being paired with any specific drink. I usually am plain evil and accompany it with milky tea and/or cacao to remind my taste buds that the life could be worse.
Probably the best known national phenomenon is olomoucké tvarůžky, sometimes also olomoucké syrečky (Olomouc curd cheese). It is a ripened soft cheese, very yellow. It has a pungent taste and smell. It is supposedly used in regional kitchen, but I cannot imagine how or why, because increasing the temperature of this cheese warrants a biohazard warning, or so the joke goes. They do taste better when you let them warm up, though, the taste blooms out into fullness. Do nto eat them straight out of the fridge. Some households have special glass (or plastic) covers and plates to put syrečky on where they can warm up while remaining covered. You usually don't lose syrečky for log, you can sniff them out. Tvarůžky are usually paired with beer.

Vegetarian Italian Beef for lunch! 
I’ve been making my own Italian beef and the sandwiches composed thereof, and I’ve been talking about it mainly because it’s just kind of a fun and unusual project. I know a number of vegetarians and many of them have mentioned that they’ve never had an Italian beef, which is understandable; even if you could get a vegetarian one, an Italian beef sandwich is not for everyone. 
But I thought, well, I might as well try to make a vegetarian option now that I’ve mastered the meat version. I tried it today and it’s very close -- the texture’s not quite right, but using a steak seasoning and a very rich savory vegetable broth got the flavor pretty much nailed. 
I took canned green jackfruit, boiled it until soft, “separated” it as if making veggie pulled-pork, tossed it with steak seasoning and spread it on a baking sheet. I baked it until it was just crisping up again, then threw it in a pan of jus made from vegetable broth (I just used a veggie-broth bouillon mix) with a bit of olive oil added for fattiness. I let it simmer for a few minutes, then scooped out the jackfruit and stored that and the broth separately in tupperware. 
To prepare the sandwich, I put a sandwich’s worth of jackfruit in a small bowl, covered it with broth, microwaved it until hot, and then pulled it out of the broth with a fork and added it to the roll, along with some edam cheese (cheese is not traditional for Italian Beef but I like it).
At this point, it’s edible as is, especially if you serve it with a cup of heated jus for dipping. What I like to do to get that real Portillos-level finish, however, is to close the sandwich roll and, firmly holding it closed, dunk it briefly in the jus, moistening as much of the bread as possible. I quickly transfer it to greased tinfoil, wrap it tightly, and toast it in the toaster oven for 5-10 minutes, leaving it in the foil the whole time. It develops a slight crispness outside and steams the bread soft inside, and fully heats through the filling. 
The sandwich came through that process really well. The Jackfruit doesn’t have quite the tooth to it that beef does, but I think if I just store it in jus without simmering it first, it will retain a little more texture and still pick up plenty of flavor. In any case, while it definitely doesn’t look like a traditional italian beef, the flavor and the texture are both close enough that it can offer a taste of the Sandwich of Chicago without all the meat. Experiments are ongoing but I’m pleased with initial progress!

Q : You are full of good news for your upcoming 15th debut anniversary which will take place on September 18. Starting from the media art exhibition, you also had your “IU Concert: The Golden Hour” film premiere and now the fan concert which will be held for 2 days at KSPO Dome.
I have been really busy. Since there is not even a day for me to rest in September, I have been wondering whether I will be able to prepare the fan concert well or if I should delay the fan concert, but in the end, it will be the most fun if we celebrate the debut anniversary during the debut anniversary. It is a little bit too much, but I am doing my best to prepare for it.
Q : I think the meeting between Elle and IU which takes place today can also be a present for people who love you.
That’s true. Especially since I can show my new side whenever I have a photoshoot with Gucci. I hope that throughout September my fans will find it as a gift.
Q : You uploaded on your SNS, “Fan Concert? Although it’s my first time (doing this), I have a feeling that this is my expertise”. After preparing for it, do you think so?
Because of my “You Have Done Well” filming, I have to go back and forth between Andong, Jeju and Yeoncheon. Whenever I get to Seoul, I practise for the choreography and the ensemble, and it is really tiring? But when the practice session started, it became like a festival (laughs). We picked less popular songs that we ourselves like, boldly rearranged those songs that seemed like fans would probably have listened to a lot before and it is has been really fun while preparing for the fan concert.
Q : The fan concert was sold out during the pre-sale for fanclub members. You are an artist who is ahead of taking countermeasures to prevent organized ticket reselling or scalpers from reselling tickets for a premium. Is it a characteristic of yours that you need to solve a problem whenever it happens?
Although it will not be eradicated just because I step forward on this issue, I still think it's important to show my willingness to do something about it. As a result, we worked together with other companies to come up with some good ideas to deal with this.
(TL note: If you report a scalper and Edam Ent investigates and finds evidence that the person is indeed reselling the ticket, then Edam Ent will give you the ticket instead as a prize. If you already have a ticket to IU’s concert, then you receive an unreleased IU photocard instead as a prize.)
Q : During the media exhibition “Moment,” last summer, which was held to celebrate your 15th debut anniversary, you released a little bit of the guide recording version of your popular songs, like “Through The Night” and “Palette”. Is there any reason for that?
If I am able to record the guide version, I will usually record it by myself. Through this process, I have great affection for the song, because you can improve your song interpretation skills or your knowledge about music. After all, music is about discovering really good moments even if they are raw and sloppy. I thought it would be nice to show the guide recordings which I have collected and listened to by myself all this time, so I picked a few of them. I also thought it would be nice if I let people listen to just a teeny bit of the song that I prepared for my new album, so I also revealed the unreleased song. I am proud of the fact that everyone got really excited about it.
Q : You also created “Uaena’s Room” for the exhibition while thinking about your fans. To IU, what kind of a person is Uaena?
I have shown everyone a few times my ‘storage place’ where I collected all the items that I cherish. I re-created the storage place at the exhibition and then made “Uaena’s Room” which looks like a mirror image of it, as if this is a décalcomanie. It started with the idea that I think Uaena are people who are very similar to me. I don’t know what kind of life each Uaena has, but I feel that I know the attitude and focus that a person has when you like someone and how soft your heart becomes in that moment.
Q: It’s already been 2 years since you released <Pieces> at the end of your 20s. In the album introduction, you wrote ‘the pieces in between my 20s that I didn’t bother to take out’ and included 5 songs right? Which piece do you think is the odd one out?
Even when I was recording “Drama” which I wrote when I was 20, I worked on it while thinking, “Ah, I can’t make my voice sound like this anymore. If I do it now, it seems like I’m just pretending.” Yet, on the other hand, I’m not someone who changes much as a person. I also feel that the parts of me that are immature and lacking will not dramatically become more impressive (laughs).
Q: Do you feel pressured about releasing your new album?
During the course of preparing for this album, there was a point when I did a 180 degree u-turn. Having released albums one after another without any hiatus so far, this time I have not released my own album for about 2 years, so I think during this period of time, the direction of my thoughts has changed a lot. Now that my songs are taking shape one by one, I think 2 years passed by rather slowly (TL note: meaning 2 years has been a long time). I feel like I’m rich because I like how the songs turned out. I’m talking about my ambition here. I think this is a good time for me to say such things.
Q: You’re the idol of idols too. There are many KPOP artists who covered your songs, bought your merchandise and shared their concert reviews with their fans. Why do you think you have received so much love?
Staying faithful to music is something that I take pride in. I think it could be the closeness and happiness they feel towards someone they have been watching for a long time. As someone in the same industry, perhaps it’s the feeling of wanting to cheer on a senior who has been doing this for a long time. I’ll do my best to repay them with my gratitude when the moment comes.

🍔 Review № 629 ━ 📍 Flat Iron ★★★★☆ • The steak chain Flat Iron opened its first restaurant in London back in 2012 by serving affordable steaks made from flat iron cuts. They quickly became successful, and now they have more than 10 locations in central London. We visited their Soho restaurant and were seated in their small but welcoming cellar with its rustic retro-modern interiors. Their cheapest steak (the Flat Iron Steak) cost 13 GBP (15.5 USD), which was what their burger cost as well. We ordered their Smoked Chilli Cheeseburger with double patties, Edam cheese, fried jalapeños, pickles, shredded lettuce and a smoked chilli mayonnaise. It came with a cup of popcorn, and we also ordered their beef dripping chips for 4 GBP (5 USD). • Our burger came served wrapped in butcher’s paper, and when we unwrapped it we were met with a very sticky creation. The large amounts of melted cheese poured out, and behind it we could see both the meat and the other green ingredients. It looked really inviting with its golden brown brioche bun, and our first bite was really impressive. The bun was delicious – flavourful and well toasted while still being fluffy and holding everything in place. The patties were also very juicy, but a little more crust wouldn’t have hurt. And despite most ingredients tasting great, our burger was a bit too soft for our liking. Their small but thickly cut and well-distributed pickles elevated the flavours with their impressive acidity and crunch, and this was complemented nicely by the heat from the jalapeños. The Edam cheese tasted nice, but was a bit too chewy, and the shredded lettuce added nothing at all.
