Not much of a species description since you can't see their faces but look at this little couple!

I’ve had an idea for this character for a while, but I only recently decided to actually design her. Major Mitchell’s cockatoos are my favorite birds-
More information about her will be posted to her toyhouse page!

Animal of the Day!
Pink Cockatoo (Lophochroa leadbeateri)
Tumblr media
Conservation Status- Least Concern
Habitat- Australia
Size (Weight/Length)- 350 g; 35 cm
Diet- Seeds; Insects; Fruits; Nuts; Roots
Cool Facts- Also called the Major Mitchell’s cockatoo, the pink cockatoo has some of the most vibrant feathers in the cockatoo world. They are known for their soft pink feathers and beautiful feather crest that resembles a sunset. Both males and females sport the beautiful plumage while males are a little bigger. Traveling in mated pairs, pink cockatoos need large amounts of forest to successfully breed. These pairs separate in their territory and often nest miles apart from each other, making fragmented habitat unlivable. Despite deforestation and the illegal pet trade, pink cockatoos are still going strong in the woodlands of Australia.
Rating- 11/10 (Please rename them to the Sunset Cockatoo.)
