Here’s some mama Rouge for the occasion!

Additional info about her 👇(there's a lot.)

Rouge is a bit sickly. Throughout Ace’s formative years, she was in a hospital, sick. Its honestly a miracle she got through child birth alive, but she’s a very very strong woman.

Garp was there when Ace was born because I like to imagine that Garp was Gol D. Roger’s Parole Officer, and so of course he became a family friend. But since he was there for Ace's birth, he was also there when Rouge held her newborn and cried because she knew she couldn't take care of him in her condition.

And look, I don't know how child handling works, but I think it would be really funny if Garp was like "you're okay, girlie, I got the perfect idea." And then he held out a sheet of paper with all the people on his parole list and said like "pick one, this could be part of their community service sentence."

And Rouge was like "might as well, I guess, I don't want to put him in an adoption center or foster home so I guess I'm doing this". Then she picked out Dadan because 'dad' is already in her name, and she's not really given anymore qualifications other than that, so Dadan it is.

Plot twist though because all these convicts just all live with each other so it really wouldn't have mattered, it just meant that now Dadan would be the main guardian of Ace.

Because she was in the hospital for so long when ace was growing up, she’s a bit of a mystery to him. Sometimes (like 3 times a year) she would come to visit him at The House Of Dadan and bring homemade large stuffed animals for him made with Ace's old clothes she's patched together. Ace loves them and they're on a high up shelf in his room, practically untouched in fears of potentially breaking them.

Whenever Ace has a day with Rouge, it's usually a bit awkward. Like Ace doesn't know how to have a mother and Rouge doesn't know how to have a son, but she is trying her best to have fun with him whenever she gets the chance to.

I kinda envision these vibes. Not exactly but adjacent.

Very like "what do you wanna do, sweetie :)"

Ace never gets to visit her at the hospital because Rouge doesn't want him to see her in that kind of setting. He tried to once when he became an adult but he was turned away at the door. He may or may not have tried to then find her through the outside of the building through windows and he may or may not have been kicked off the premises by security.

The first day on the job after Ace completes his tattoo artist apprenticeship, he gets a customer who called the day before requesting him specifically, which is a little weird since he had just started that day, normal patrons wouldn't know him.

When it's time for the appointment, he goes to the floor from the back of the shop, and the person sitting in his appointment seat,

Is.. is his mom.

Shes talking to his coworkers and laughing with them! Ahh no nononono. His mom is not supposed to see this part of his life. What is she doing here????

He rushes over to her and asks her what she's doing here for??

"I'm getting a tattoo from my son :) can I get this flower please? :)"

So he starts the tattoo process and Rouge is very cooperative and receptive to when he needs her to move or anything like that.

He's.. he's never actually been this close to her for so long...

He glances up one and he sees her smiling so softly at him.

Ace looks away quickly, hoping she doesn't see him blushing.

For all wondering, the tattoo that she has is very much on her ass and it is very much Roger's name.

I was thinking on Dadan recently, maybe you all doesn't know it but she is one of my favorite characters and after all she has done to her boys i think is my turn to show this woman a bit of love.

I want Luffy recognizing Dadan as his mom, him not being interested to know his birth mom because...he already has Dadan and he knows she is bit mean but she was at his side all the time and he knows she loves him.

Okay I have the flu right now so this might not be as long as I want, but you’d be strained to call it short.

Robin and Luffy hold a special place in my heart for being the most explicit example of what being friends with Luffy can do to a Motherfucker. When Robin initially joins the crew she manipulates Luffy into taking responsibility for her, and manipulates everyone else on the crew using their abject flaws when facing an enemy (Sanji loves women, Usopp and Chopper are children who like having fun, and Nami likes money). She runs into an initial problem with getting on the good side of Zoro because Zoro believes in action above all else (like how he almost killed himself to prove Nami wasn’t bad in Arlong Park). As viewers we aren’t meant to trust Robin, and so we don't ...up until Skypeia.

Skypeia is the first time that she takes an action that would put herself in danger to protect the crew…she’s growing attached.

And who can blame her! Luffy’s heart isn’t a log pose it’s, an eternal pose meaning it doesn’t sway to unrelated distraction islands and is always accurate. He knows that Robin is a good person because she helped him not die of poisoning from Crocodile without any real reason. He’s never been afraid of her….

From Robin’s perspective this will wear off soon. She has lived her life as a dead woman, never belonging anywhere because she’s the devil’s child. She’s never been a person as much as face to throw darts at in every pirate bar and marine headquarters. She’s seeked after for either her knowledge or her power…Luffy wants neither.

Think about that. He doesn’t want either. Like what we saw with Sanji when he asked him to join his crew without (actually) seeing him fight or eating his food. Luffy wants good people on his crew and he’s not been wrong yet.

But at the same time, Luffy doesn’t dismiss either her strength or her knowledge. He understands her to be an absolute force of nature but doesn’t expect her to use that if she doesn’t want to. Luffy puts the crew's comfort above what they provide for him (which is the reason the Water 7 Usopp fight happens but that’s for another time), meaning she can kill everyone here if she wants but she can just sit in her chair and read her stories while Luffy takes care of it.

Before Enies Lobby, Robin might have assumed that Luffy underestimated her which is what her leaving was supposed to emphasize, ‘I’m too much work and I’m sorry you had to find that out now…we had fun and now it’s over’ she thought that once Luffy and Co. found out about CP9 and the buster call and her polyglyph knowledge they would take the easy way out by leaving her to die. They didn’t sign up to deal with an actual fugitive who was the sole survivor of a genocide, and she can pay them back for all that they’ve done for her by saving their lives one last time…

TOO BAD IT’S THE STRAWHAT CREW, BABY!

So they save her ass and teach her the meaning of friendship and what naught and now Robin’s in so deep she’s at like Zoro levels.

She’s crazy, she’s feral, she’s demented as fuck, and you know what she also is? A straw hat. Her crew loves her and respects her not just as a psychopath willing to break everyone’s spines nor as one of the few people in the world who can read the Road Polyglyphs necessary for Luffy to become King of the Pirates, but as another member of the spontaneous strawhat crew.

For Luffy specifically she does in fact act like a mother, but she’s like a perfect combination of mom’s that Luffy has had. Makino and Dadan. Dadan let Luffy run wild without bandaging his wounds because he doesn’t like being coddled like a child very well. Dadan’s all mama bear, violent and protective over what she has left of her cubs. Makino has that ‘normal’ mom vibe. Comfort and serenity. Someone to clap when Luffy does something cool and read to him when he’s all tuckered out. Neither of them taught Luffy the insane moral compass that he has, they only helped him grow along with it. With Dadan it was more about learning to leave the other guy bloodied and beaten, never let anyone mess with what’s yours. With Makino it was about compassion and believing people have good intentions, leaning on others whenever you need help.

Robin does both. She pets Luffy’s hair and indulges in his childish antics but she’s also raw power and protective strength. Luffy taught her to stop only using her powers for herself (more or less as a form of self-soothing, only focusing on herself as a defensive mechanism to keep herself safe) and so now she’s gonna use those powers for others. Her family. Luffy relies on her the same way he relies on any member of his crew, and in return he’s got an elite force of killing machines that will watch the world burn in order to protect him.

I don’t know if this made a lick of sense because I’m kinda drowsy and blinking in and out of consciousness but hopefully this explains everything! (I might re-read this later and re-write it when I’m not off my rocker).

Chaos House skits/incorrect Quotes

I am going to make my Chaos House idea and turn it into short skits/incorrect quotes.

This will have Modern Family and Reba vibes. Slice of life style, where the kids haven't gone out to be Pirates yet because they have more time to prepare under Shanks and Della rather than running away from other things.

General info:

Chaos Della - Mother, Head of House, Shanks' Wife

Shanks - Father, Pirate, Della's husband

Buggy - Della's ex, Neon's father, Shanks' childhood friend

Ace - Oldest Son

Sabo - Second son

Uta - First daughter, middle child

Neon - Second daughter

Luffy - Third son, youngest

Background

Della was 19 years old when she met Buggy and they spent some time together. He left to go see more of the world and start his own pirate crew, Della discovered she was pregnant and had their daughter Neon.

Neon grew up in Windmill Village, playing with Luffy. When the Red-Hair Pirates show up and establish Windmill Village as their home base. The two start to play and spend a lot of time with Uta, Shanks' daughter.

This leads to Shanks and Della to spend a lot of time together. And realize they co-parent together very well. Leading to a quick but quiet marriage. The events of Red don't happen (the movie isn't Canon, but Uta is), so Uta now has a safer place to stay and a little sister.

After Shanks and the red-pirates take off for a voyage, Garp comes by with plans to Luffy up the mountain to live with a 'friend' of his. But Luffy refuses to go with Neon. Childhood codependency at its peak. Garp asks Della if Neon can go up with. Della approves as long as she can come home when she wants to.

Neon and Luffy meet Ace and Dadan. Three months later, Sabo. Della, Makino, and the mayor come to visit and check on the kids. Della doesn't like the situation at all and just takes the three boys and her daughter home with her.

Garp calls to yell at Della for ruining his plans to make Marines out of Ace and Luffy only to get an ear full from a Mama bear Della. He apologizes and gives guardianship over of Ace and Luffy to her. He has no say over Sabo.

Della mysteriously knows Sabo's family and quietly deals with them on her own. (I'll figure out and fill in the details more later, but Della is mysterious).

Dadan does come often to see the boys, becoming more of an aunt and second mother since Della does have her hands full with now five kids while Shanks is out to sea.

Ace arrived later immediately hitting the younger boy while scolding him. When he heard you.

"Why do you have a baby?"

Ace is wondering if you were abandoned or did something happen to your parents??

Ace understood why luffy hasn't returned, they couldn't leave you behind.

Ace was debating on whether to bring you back to Dadan or should they take you somewhere else.

Once you started crying, Ace didn't hesitate and told Luffy to go get help.

Ace continued trying you down by pulling faces and making weird sounds

Of course Luffy decided to ask Shanks for help, the red head took you from the glaring freckled boy. "Be careful!"

Nobody knew who you or your parents were.

Luffy already seemed attached and wanted to bring you home

pt. 3 for shanks dating luffys older sister? 😏

Ahhh! You have returned! I was wondering if anyone would require more 😈

-Shanks and (Name) continue to have these little meet-cutes for a while. It's made of banter with flirtatious undertones, and it's insufferable.

-By the time the dam finally breaks, the entire island is tired of their shit. Mama Dadan is possibly the most annoyed. She can't stand (Name) 's wishy-washy feelings about Shanks.

-Either ya' like him or you don't (Name). Grow yourself a pair of tits and make a choice.

-Dadan deals out her affection via tough love and snide comments for all her children, even for her daughter.

-Ace and Sabo are also irritated by the flirting. The two older boys can tell something is going on between them, and neither of the boys like it. They don't trust Shanks. He disappears for weeks, sometimes months at a time, doing only the Gods know what. The way Ace and Sabo see things, Shanks isn't a good man for their sister.

-Luffy is too young to understand why Ace and Sabo don't like Shanks. Luffy thinks Shanks is the coolest and wants to see him whenever he's in town. (Name) may or may not uses Luffy as an excuse to see Shanks. She obviously can't just let a little boy roam around in town by himself, and if they happen to see Shanks, it's a happy accident.

-Shanks has a lot of complicated feelings about (Name). On the one hand, she's exactly his type. She's someone who's not afraid to stand up to him and is fireclay loyal. But on the other hand, he feels really guilty about their relationship for two main reasons.

-Firstly, (Name) is taking care of three young boys. He wouldn't feel right asking her to run away with him because of ASL. Though he does try to reason ways around this, by saying that Dadan could still care for them or that the boys aren't that young. Luffy, the youngest, is seven so Sabo and Ace could certainly take care of themselves.

-Secondly and possibly more pressing, is that while he's at sea, Shanks has had a fling or two. I mean, he and (Name) are not dating, so why does it matter if he's chasing skirts. That's what he tries to tell himself anyway.

-Shanks eventually becomes so painfully in love with her that he remains in Fusha Village far longer than he should. Shanks begins actively seeking (Name) out because he has to tell her the truth, but he chickens out every time he has the chance.

-After staying on Dawn Island for over a month, Benn puts his foot down and insists they get back to sea. They're the Red-Haired Pirates, damn it, and their Red-Haired Captain has done nothing but pine over a woman who can't even confess to.

-Benn further insists that they stay away from Dawn Island for a while to break Shanks out of this phase.

-Shanks is devastated, but his crew all agreed that it was time to go. So, they make preparations to leave Dawn Island and Shanks kind of gets into a "do or die" mood. He is determined to tell (Name) about his feelings before he doesn't have the chance to.

-He finds her in town by herself for once. Usually, she's shadowing three scruffy children, but on this day, she is alone. Shanks feels sick looking at her, but it was now or never.

-She and Shanks chat for a minute before he asks her to walk with him. With a sweet smile, she agrees. They walk for a while, and they talk freely to one another. Then she says it. You've been on land for a while this time. Is there a reason why?

-It's two sentences, but it's enough to crack the ice. Words practically fall out of Shanks' mouth. He tells (Name) everything. He nearly vomits out his guilt and his sins. Shanks chokes when he has to say to her he won't be returning to Fusha Village. Not for a long while.

-When he's done, (Name) can only look at him, her mouth agape. They stare at one another for a long silent moment. He rubs his face and offers his hand to (Name).

-I want you to be my lover, (Name). Please, won't you join my crew?

Oda’s main girls are sexy as hell with proportions so bad Barbie’s in perfect health in comparison. There are ALSO completely non-sexual, utterly ugly character (from Alvida to Mama or what her name was, I got a lot catching up to do). There are also man clearly drawn for their abs (there is a reason Ace never found a shirt, fight me). Even the queer-coded transvestite gets one of the best villan arcs in the entire. Bloody. Manga. I will fight you over Bon-chan too, damn it! 1/2

And he's like peak 'hehe he's so flamboyant, that's the joke, but he's a guy, get it, GET IT' BS I'd normally hate. But he's an amazing character. So I don't. Cause the design can be easilyforgivable with GREATH CHARACTERS. That's the difference for me - a single one of Oda's characters has more depth than entire Naruto. Hell, two randoms from first chapter get better arc of becoming Navy in 1-PAGE CHAPTER ILLUSTRATIONS than entire Rookie 9 AND it included moral issues! It's that good! 2/2

I honestly don't even care about the breast size of the female characters, I just wish their waists weren't so small! Where are their organs?

But also another great thing about One Piece (the manga) is you will not get a panel that's just boobs or butt or something. If a character (Sanji usually) ogles someone the panel still shows their face and doesn't reduce them to a body part.

A lot of things that could be annoying in other series aren't in One Piece because characters aren't jokes. Bon Clay is his own character and he's a very heroic and noble one at that! Ivankov is their own character! Even joke characters have love and respect put into them, it's hard to get mad about things that might be annoying in other series. I mean like I'm queer and I really like Bon Clay and Ivankov. I think the okama label doesn't really fit them and the problem there is Oda is not aware of the language to use. There's another queer character in the recent arc, O-kiku, but if you're not caught up you probably don't know about her yet so I won't say anything, but she's not a joke at all.

i don't know if this is stupid or not, but could i ask of you something where the tiny ASL brothers are kind of adopted by a nice reader who wants to care for the poor boys?

(Aaaaa I love this so much!!! These got kind of long; I got a bit carried away with this idea, lol)

You had first encountered the three boys when they were playing on the beach while you were out gathering fish to eat. Luffy was the first one to approach you to say hi (and to ask to eat some of your fish). You laughed and offered to cook some for him if he wanted, and Ace and Sabo heard your offer of free food as well. They all followed you back to your house hidden in the middle of the woods, and the boys were amazed they’d never seen your house while they were exploring the island. 

They all scarfed down the lunch you’d made for them, and soon they’d pop in every few days to have lunch and to play in your yard. Sabo liked that you had a collection of books he could read, and you let him borrow a few to bring back to Dadan’s house. Ace appreciated how kind you were and how eager you were to listen to what he had to say, and Luffy thought you made the best food in the world. 

Dadan and Garp were suspicious when the boys talked about their new adult friend, but once they met you (after inviting you for a drink at Dadan’s cabin) their suspicions melted away when they saw how genuinely kind/loving you were towards the three kids.

You became friends with Garp and Dadan quickly, and one day Dadan approached you to ask if you wanted to watch over the boys while she went with her group of bandits to “procure” some supplies. You eagerly accepted, and soon whenever Dadan had to leave she would trust you to take care of Ace, Sabo, and Luffy.

The three boys would frequently ask Dadan if they could go live with you, saying that they would still visit Dadan if she started to miss them too much. Dadan laughed and said there was no way she’d miss those three brats, but she said that it’d be nice to have someone else on the island to take care of you. She went to you later and asked if you would want to adopt the boys, and explained that she worried sometimes about the boys being in danger because of the work her bandit group did. She said that if any problems came up and someone dangerous ever came looking for them, she’d have her men ready at a moment’s notice.

You eagerly accepted, and soon the three boys had moved their belongings (what little they had) into your cottage. The three of them shared a room, but they were happy that they had more space than they did at Dadan’s. You also got furniture for each of them to store their own stuff, so that they had a sense of privacy (something they never got at Dadan’s).

Ace initially resisted whenever you were affectionate with him, and when you made him a cake for his first birthday at your house he ran off before you, Luffy, and Sabo could even sing to him. You found him crying at the edge of the woods, and he said that he didn’t deserve to be treated so kindly because he was the son of the Devil. You comforted him and tried your best from that day on to show him he was worth loving, and he was glad he had at least one adult who loved him.

Whenever Luffy felt left out (Sabo and Ace were closer in age, so sometimes he felt like he was a baby tagging along whenever they were hanging out together), you’d reassure him that they still cared about him and that they weren’t trying to baby him. 

“Luffy, I think if you were just a baby to them, they wouldn’t have invited you to fight that giant tiger in the woods with them. Just because you’re a few years younger, that doesn’t mean you’re any weaker–and don’t let them forget it!” 

“…Yeahhhh, you’re right. I may be younger, but I’m still gonna become King of the Pirates one day! Thanks, Mama/Papa ____!”

Sabo was especially attached to you, and he confessed why he’d run away from his biological family when he was younger. He worried that you’d hate him because of his former status, but you simply ruffled his hair and explained that who he was didn’t matter; even if it wasn’t a blood-relation, the four of you were family. 

You taught Luffy to write and read, and while his penmanship never improved he always practiced writing by sending letters to you while he had his adventures across the seas. You were the first person to discover that Sabo was alive after he sent you a letter in a code based off an old book of spy methods/communication on your bookshelf that he loved reading as a child. Ace also frequently wrote to you, and you met up with him the most as the boys got older. You even met Whitebeard and his crew; Whitebeard immediately treated you as family, and he often said that he thought that the both of you were Ace’s parents. Never in a flirtatious way or anything, just an acknowledgment of how you two took him in and loved him when nobody else would. 

After the events of Marineford, Marco wrote you a letter and (at Ace’s request in a letter he’d left for his crewmates to find after he’d passed) sent you what belongings he had left in his cabin on Whitebeard’s ship. Whenever they can, the remaining members of Whitebeard’s crew journeys to your home to check on you.
