Please wear a KN-95 mask, and wear layered nondescript clothing and cover your face/hair! I have seen many people use keffiyehs for this. People will be recording and taking pictures!

Dress for cold weather but know marching warms you up quickly, so dress in layers you can remove and carry without uncovering your face and hair. Ideally you should bring a backpack to carry food, water, first aid, ID, etc. It may be good to bring multiple or removable parts of your outfit if you plan on walking from your residence or car.

Please blur out peoples faces before posting to social media!

Bigotry & hatred will not be tolerated.

Even if you are unable to attend, please reblog and repost the graphics to other social medias to get the word out. You may have a follower or friend who can attend.

If you live outside of DC or Central London: talk to your local organizations! They may be able to organize transportation to this event. For buses to DC, you will likely have to pay a fee, but it is probably going to be cheaper and safer than driving to DC and parking in their $40-$50/hour parking garages. Also look into Amtrak, Greyhound buses, trains, or other means of transportation.

Thousands of protesters gathered on Parliament Hill Saturday afternoon, calling for a permanent ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war and for the Canadian government to take a firmer stance on the conflict. The National March on Ottawa, as it's been called, was one of the largest pro-Palestinian rallies to take to the streets of Canada's capital since the war broke out following a Hamas attack on Oct. 7.

Yesterday March 30th, I attended the Land Day March for Palestine here in New Orleans. It began with a program of speakers in historic Congo Square. Then, we poured out onto North Rampart Street and marched all the way into the Central Business District where we turned around and came back to Congo Square. Because I assisted in carrying a huge banner, I was unable to photograph the actual march itself. However, I was rewarded with a beautiful keffiyeh (Palestinian scarf) that was given to me by a kind gentleman who, along with his wife, assisted in carrying the same banner.

Land Day commemorates the events of March 30, 1976 when six unarmed Palestinians were killed and more than 100 injured by Israeli forces during protests against Israel's confiscation of 4,942 acres of land belonging to Palestinian citizens of Israel in the Galilee. Palestinians mark this day by holding protests, vigils and planting olive trees to reaffirm their connection to the land. Of course, this hasn't stopped Israel's relentless annexations and confiscations of Palestinian lands which have culminated in the current genocide in Gaza. Independent news media has focused on Israel's obvious plan to ethnically cleanse the Gaza strip and build settlements there. For that to actually happen requires a complete victory over Hamas and the other Palestinian resistance fighters. So far, the IDF is failing in its military objectives.

Long live Palestine!
