They had arranged to meet at the inconspicuous cafe outside of Hell’s Kitchen.

Matt had arrived there early, not running into any distractions. He had ordered drinks for the both of them, and was sitting in a booth waiting.

And waiting.

And waiting.

An hour later (and three new drinks), Jessica slid into the booth opposite Matt, picking up her drink and acting as though everything was normal.

Matt merely raised an eyebrow at her.

“What?” She asked after swallowing her mouthful.

Matt pointed at his watch; he could practically hear Jessica roll her eyes.

“I’m sorry that I ran into a bunch of,” she lowered her voice, leaning across the table. “Ninjas.”Matt frowned. “Ninjas?”

“Ninjas,” Jessica sighed, taking another drink. “They made me an hour late, sorry.”

“You expect me to believe it took you an hour to defeat Ninjas? Are you sure you didn’t get lost when-”

Jessica threw a napkin at Matt’s face; it hit his forehead, landing on his cane.

“Was that necessary?”

“Yes Matthew, yes it was. You doubted my story.”

“It’s a ridiculous story, of course I doubted it.”

Matt stopped when a second napkin hit his forehead.

They were walking down the street, discussing the likelihood of ninjas distracting Jessica for an hour.

“No way Jess.”

“Yess way Matt.”

“Ninjas don’t just attack in at ten am.”

“Well these ones did.”

Matt paused, holding out a hand to Jessica. She paused, waiting for him.

He sighed, and took off running down an alleyway. Jessica followed, only to be faced by more ninjas.

“What was that you were saying?”

Matt pushed a ninja into her path, which she quickly took out. “Nevermind. I believe you now.”

Peter and Shuri become best friends immediately and Tony has an immediate blood pressure spike as T'Challa googles "how to die without dying". Then enter MJ and she joins their shenanigans but they're really surprised the first time she does and they both lose their minds. Then enter Loki who senses nonsense and immediately must join in, pretending to be dead be damned. THEN they all teach Bucky about vines, and he's always down for another way to piss off steve in a light hearted manner.

So it becomes this group of edgy teens, a god of mischief, and one very old young man against a billionaire, a capsicle, the king of Wakanda, and the rest of the avengers team. The group of memes (they aptly name themselves "the meme-vengers" courtesy of Peter) all get together and write and record song parodies based on different people they've fought. Loki is very down to do silly vocals for the one about the battle against him. And they do the "lets get down to business to defeat Thanos" and no one is amused except Thor who finds it absolutely delightful. They do one for Ultron and that takes a while because there's no easy songs for a name like Ultron. Eventually they all start a joint tumblr, and they get really famous for their avengers vine parodies the four of them make, much to Tony's ever growing dismay.
