Decided to post some more Hero Forge minis I designed while bored. Forgot to post Kristen and Tracker last time when I was posting couples from Sophmore Year so including them now 😅

I’ve been so grateful to all the creatives for sharing their work.

There’s no shortage of great shows to jump around to between Dimension 20, Candela Obscura, and NADDPOD I have been eating it all up!

Burrow’s End was fantastic. I’ve also gone back and been enjoying past Dimension20 Sessions and Adventuring Parties.

The Junior Year Trailer looks like a riot, and Candela Obscura: Tide and Bone has me captivated.

Just finished Mice and Murder, the Seven, Court of Fae and Faeries, and Coffin Run in the last month or two.

Someone had mentioned in a tag that I must have the Pro Membership for Hero Forge, I actually don’t so that’s quite the compliment! I just have way too much time on my hands to mess with gestures and color palettes.

Been fun getting creative though with layering “Decals” to get more specific patterns that aren’t available.

Also improvising by manipulating horns to give Tracker sideburns. Fun fun 😁 bonus solos of Riz and Lars ❤️👏

Now, it's been a while since I last read the Beastars manga. And I didn't really click with Yahaya while I was reading, other than horrified respect. Obviously, spoilers for anime only peeps below

I did love the relationship he and Gosha have, and how Yahaya took special interest in Legoshi because of how he reminded Yahaya of Gosha. It's all so traumatically gay of them tbh.

The carrot fields... both horrify me and instill a great respect for this vigilante horse.

Bit of accidental Impish Lore Dumping, but I have a relative who works with horses. While I will never ever claim to be an expert by proxy, I do know some things about horses that you'd only really know if you're around horsey people.

With that in mind, it really adds to the whole indulgent and strong-willed perception that the fandom has. If you'll follow my thoughts for a bit:

Horses are opportunistic carnivores. They don't need to eat things like birds, mice, or snakes; but they choose to do so.

Horses can't eat too many carrots. It's good as a treat for good behaviour and some forms of training, but it's like chocolate for humans. You can't have a long healthy life if you have chocolate three meals a day.

So Yahaya has not only taken his version of justice out on the criminals he's captured and turned into fertiliser... he's making it a luxurious treat for himself through his carrot farm. He could easily cut the middleman, as he is biologically capable of doing so.

But Yahaya is a classier, scarier beast with strong convictions.

I'd like to think he thought of eating the carnivores as poetic justice, but never wanted to face criticism for being "just like them" (or becoming addicted to meat like some carnivores do). So in this roundabout way, he's still consuming the consumers in a manner that fits a herbivore, and punishes the criminal carnivores in a - in his eyes - fair way.

Horses are fucking terrifying the more you learn about them, y'all.

But they're also fucking hilarious. Some horses on a hack will flip out, thinking a plastic bag in a nearby bush will murder them in their sleep. Yahaya has to be particularly "bomb proofed" to handle his duties as Beastar, but the idea of him scared silly over a plastic bag is... I need to see some fanart of this tbh

sepelio (bernice summerfield/dweu) - the cannibalism murder hannibal au with eldritch overtones that got out of hand and developed a terrifyingly lovely community, and so much fanart and a podfic, and... yes. i'm very fond of this one. for obvious reasons.

wires got the best of him (game of rassilon) - love letter to an NPC who had at most five minutes of content when i wrote the thing. slightly canon-divergent now, but still a big favorite of mine. every day of my life, i have to restrain myself from writing another 50k worth of parker killian character study.

mice on venus (doctor who) - ace and seven play minecraft at midnight and have loaded conversations about bad parenting. wrote it on a whim and have never once regretted it.

hold me fast and fear me not (bernice summerfield/dweu) - the sort of high school, sort of fae, sort of tam lin au where benny gives brax the best hug of his life and also jason is sort of there too.

DILEMMA (oxenfree) - ....i wrote a interquel interactive-fiction video game in the style of the original game. there's music and sound effects and you can play around with the radio tuner and everything. the plot itself? not my best work. but the execution was a complete slam-dunk. fucking nailed it.
