Mii Favorite Things

Featured on: siivagunner's highest quality rips: volume Ripped by eva twin

Its a bit crazy rips this high-effort and inspired are from all the way back in Season 2, huh? I think that partially goes to show just how influential Wii Shop Bling was to the channel, a rip mashup from late 2015 that sits on 13 millions on uploads outside of the channel. Its creator - tunedlink - would become good friends with the creator of SiIvaGunner, and homages to Wii Shop Bling created both by him and others filled the channel's early years. I could've picked any of those for this slot, but I was feeling a little inspired this particular day.

I think what makes these later arrangements so much fun is that they're clearly inspired by Wii Shop Bling's evolution, but are now almost completely disconnected from that specific song. Hell, part of what makes this rip in particular so pleasant is how it feels like a tribute to the Wii in general, switching to the Mii Channel's instrumentation seamlessly halfway through the rip. And with Season 2 of the channel being greatly tied to Christmas as a whole, the rip feels almost inevitable yet overwhelmingly pleasant althesame. Its one of those tracks you can't help but vibe to, so elegantly executed that it feels indistinguishable from an official remix by Nintendo themselves.

I dunno how much longer I can keep rambling about this rip without just telling you to go listen to it!! Honestly, Eva Twin's output wasn't really one I was all too familiar with before, but looking over her contributions its as if her entire output is nothing but bangers: Tons of my all-time favorites had been sitting under a name I'd just completely forgotten to register for some reason. Consistency, good ass vibes and quality way higher than it has any right to be: Eva Twin's earned her place in my mind as one of the all-time greats.
