Yeah, I get a lot of the “ I just don’t see Hannibal as a bottom!” comments on my fics, too, which, I’m like, everyone’s entitled to their opinion...but when those opinions are based on this flawed, problematic idea that gay men are only ever either submissive or dominant in bed and that it’s directly tied to their disposition outside of bed is just so frustrating. Also, why you need to tell me this, people?? Just don’t *read* it if it’s not your thing--that’s why I purposefully tag every fic very specifically to who tops and bottoms, or if they switch, because I’ve had to deal with this shit in basically every fandom I’ve been in, and I’m tired of dealing with it. So there, it’s up front, you can see what I’ve written before you even open the doc, take your ignorant nonsense elsewhere, people, grr.

tl;dr, sorry you have to deal with that, too *hugs*

Speechless...

I am…beyond touched, humbled and just plain overwhelmed at the messages and replies and reblogs I received in response to my sad post last night.

Some of your words made me cry tears of joy at their kindness and I did not for a second expect so many people to be so concerned if I stay or go.

Truthfully Twitter has been the main source of the problem - some of you may have seen the cringeworthy display from the people personally victimising me yesterday (thread now deleted and no I really don’t have more to say about it); and yet fewer of you may be aware that I receive a lot of snide DM hate for the Abigail stuff over there too. I was not prepared for how different a place it is from Tumblr and it really knocked me.

I felt like everything I wrote was tainted by my “disgusting” kinks and shipping Abi, even though the vast majority of my work is still Hannigram, so I wanted to give up trying. I felt like finally standing up for myself to those people was doing my image harm and people maybe wanted nothing to do with me - the outspoken bitch.

All your lovely, sincere support made me see it was not the case - it is just Twitter is a judgemental, nasty mess and I forgot that I had people who love me here on Tumblr and Ao3. You guys make it all better and although I do need to step back from my personal Twitter and to a lesser extent Tumblr, I do not want to go for good.

I want to get back into writing and I have even managed to do all the posts I was neglecting this morning too. Thank you from the bottom of my bruised heart to everyone who helped <3

From the story I’m writing for #ItsStillBeautiful. Will is searching for Hannibal again, but his methods are very different now. Bodies are dropping and he’s not just captured Hannibal’s attention now, but another killer shows an interest.

Murder is easy and takes much less time than people realize.

I don’t knowwwww there’s too many. From Hannibal, probably Abigail Hobbs.

2. Why would you save that character?

If Abigail survived, she, Will, and Hanni could have run away together and lived the life they deserved as a family.

3. Which celebrity have you met, or who would you like to meet?

I actually haven’t met really any. Of course I’d love to meet Mads and Hugh, but also Jodie Foster, Evan Rachael Wood, Kristen Stewart, Bob Ross, Viola Davis, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, RuPaul, etc…

4. Favourite things about your OTP

So my OTP is Spacedogs, fyi. It’s probably obvious but hey. My favorite things are just the sheer versatility that exists. It can be tooth-rotting, diabetes-inducing fluff or it can be incredibly hot nsfw. There’s no limit to what those two can do, and there’s so much potential for new, interesting, and altogether fucking adorable situations.

5. Do you have any pets or animals?

I have two betta fish and two dogs. (My stepdad also has a dog that I see all the time but she’s not technically mine sooooo)

6. Can you ride a horse?

I haven’t in forever, but I could when I was a kid so maybe???

7. What is the best piece of advice you could give to someone?

Idk man, probably just to not to give up on life. Life may seem horrible and awful sometimes but there’s always another day to make things right. And you’re never really alone, there’s always someone out there who is there for you and cares for you, even if you don’t know it.

8. What did you want to be when you grew up?

It changed daily. I wanted to be a ballerina, a doctor, an astronaut, a vet, a lawyer, a princess, an actress, it goes on.

9. If you could speand a day with Bryan Fuller, Hugh Dancy or Mads Mikkelsen - who would you choose?

I CAN’T PICK AAAAHHHH I love them all too much. But if I must decide, probably Mads.

10. What would you do with that day?

Lord, another tough one. I like to think we could just hang out, watch tv, maybe do something fun like go to an amusement park?

11. Favourite trope? (because you know how much I like to squeal over some!)

Okay so I love the whole “fake date” trope bbbbbbut I think my favorite is “I’m just here to protect/work for you but you’re really cute and I can’t stop thinking about you- oh shit I’m in love aren’t I?” (I don’t know if it has an official name or something bbbbbut you know what I’m talking about right?)
