Based on @accio-sriracha’s headcanon

Sirius touched everyone. Especially James. They were always hugging, had their arms thrown around each other when walking, their heads rested on one another’s shoulder.

But, Sirius touched everyone. He touched Peter, whether it was to play with his hand while talking, lean against him while reading, or fall asleep on his shoulder.

Sirius touched everyone. He touched Lily, Mary, Marlene, everyone. He touched Frank and Alice, the Prewetts. Everyone. Except one person. One person he couldn’t bare to touch.

Remus Lupin.

Sirius could never understand why he couldn’t bring himself to touch Remus, because Remus was his friend. He was fit, too, so it wasn’t matter of if he was gross or not.

He just couldn’t touch him. Remus started to notice it too. He would watch as Sirius would put his hand on Peters shoulder, wrap an arm around James’s waist, or give a quick hug to Lily, but never him. He would watch as Sirius actually avoided touching him at all costs.

So he decided to do something about it.

He started to initiate all the touches they had. The first time he tried, he put his hand on Sirius’s arm when talking to him in the common room. Sirius grew red and had to excuse himself.

Remus rolled his eyes. What about him is so difficult to touch?

The next time, he ran again. And all the time after that. In potions, Remus brushed his hand against Sirius’s, and Sirius immediately pushed himself out from the table and went to the bathroom.

At breakfast one morning, Sirius and Remus were talking, so Remus saw this as a chance. “Your hair looks incredibly soft today.” Remus said, reaching up to touch Sirius’s hair.

Sirius froze. “I- um.”

Remus smiled at him and took his hand away. “What products do you use? Is that what you’re doing in the bathroom for 10 years after I talk to you?”

Sirius blushed fiercely. He nodded and excused himself from breakfast.

Then, when he didn’t think it could get worse, Remus was being avoided. Like walk-in-a-room-and-Sirius-leaves avoided. At this point, he was getting not only frustrated, but desperate.

So he decided to take a drastic measure. On one snowy Saturday afternoon, when Sirius, James, and Marlene were all sitting and talking, Remus plopped down in Sirius’s lap. Sirius made a small noise and froze.

They sat like that for awhile. Sirius had stopped talking, and he had a blush very present on his face.

3 minutes in, Remus moved to get a little more comfortable when he felt an incredibly hard thing under him. He looked at Sirius, who looked down, presumably ashamed.

Remus made a noise of frustration and relief. He got off Sirius’s lap, grabbed his hand and pulled him upstairs.

When they got to their dorm, Sirius spoke first. “Moony, I’m sorr-“

“Oh shut the hell up.” Remus told him. Remus grabbed his face and kissed him.

When they released, Sirius smiled. They went downstairs holding hands.

And from then on, Sirius was the one to touch Remus’s hair, to sit in his lap, to brush his hands on his back.
