╰┈➤ Please read !!! For Nahdia's, since we don't know her backstory, I just wrote my own prediction. Its not a leak. Also, if I get any lore incorrect in this, I sincerely apologize.

╰┈➤ Venti was very surprised to even hear that you knew about the nation, especially since almost none of the history books in Mondstadt mention the event, let alone that the archons were involved. You knew him on a personal level, so you needed answers.

╰┈➤ At first, he just plays it off as a story in one of his songs.

╰┈➤ "Ehe, as a bard, my stories must really be convincing! It's definitely an honor to hear someone was actually interested in hearing more!"

╰┈➤ You made sure you were in a secluded area with the anemo archon and you started interrogating him. Why did Celestia decide to do what they did? What did he do?

╰┈➤ "Khaenriah was a very advanced civilization. It was located near Mondstadt, where my people lived in peace. I was afraid of the war spreading, similar to how the archon war had its own consequences in each nation. I had to protect my people.. It's my job as an archon. If I didn't, needless to say that Celestia would be pretty upset with me..." He ended that with a classic giggle to brighten the mood a little.

╰┈➤ You weren't an archon, not even a god of anything, but you understood. It seemed he didn't really have a choice and he had regrets. We all make mistakes.. Right?

╰┈➤ You and Zhongli were on an outing, drinking tea on a mountain top. Just the two of you, when a question came to your mind. Khaenriah. You go ahead and shoot you shot. You ask the big question.. What happened in Khaenri'ah?

╰┈➤ He let out a big, upset sigh. You knew it was bad news, not only from the sigh, but his body language, too. He tensed his shoulders, furrowed his brow, and put a hand on his chin. Perhaps he was just trying to remember? He is the oldest archon after all, he must have a cluttered memory bank.

╰┈➤ After what seemed like forever, he denied answering your question, though you could tell it was eating him up inside. Not that he wanted to tell people, but that there was a more serious aspect to his involvement.

╰┈➤ "...I apologize, but I cannot say. As the god of contracts, it would be quite a bad look to break a contract I signed with my own hand." You suspected as much. Perhaps he regretted signing the contract, maybe not. We may not ever know.

╰┈➤ Raiden Ei wasn't in Khaenri'ah.. That was until her sister, Makoto, went there without her knowing. When she caught wind of it, she departed.

╰┈➤ She wasn't really thrilled when you first mentioned wanting to know about Khaenri'ah, but she knew she had to tell you sooner or later.

╰┈➤ "Khaenri'ah... Was an injustice. The people lost their entire nation due to the heavenly principals. I didn't want to involve myself.. But, when Makoto left, I knew I had to fight for her. But.. Once I arrived, she had passed."

╰┈➤ After that happened in Khaenri'ah, Ei created her puppet, which just ended in her giving up the gnosis to Yae Miko, her familiar.

╰┈➤ She doesn't associate with either Khaenri'ah (in fear of getting in trouble with higherups and the abyss) but also doesn't associate with the gods, in fear or getting too close to another and having them pass away.

╰┈➤ Nahdia would purposefully keep the people of Sumeru away from the truth of the cataclysm, in fear they'd find out about the past Dendro Archon.

╰┈➤ Once you asked about it to her, she started with the past Dendro Archon, the God of the woods.

╰┈➤ "The previous Dendro Archon, the greater lord... Was my mother. She got roped into the war because of her knowledge of their weapons and how to manipulate them. I was so young at the time.. I couldn't leave my mother."

╰┈➤ Her eyes were looking down, her hair covering most of her face. " My mother used to read to me stories of fairies in the rainforests of Sumeru. She'd say once a child gets old enough, they fly off into the forests to thrive. It was my favorite story; she read it to me every night."

╰┈➤ "Once she had passed... Her power as an archon got passed down to me, since I was her next to kin. I was in disbelief.. I didn't want to grow up without my mother baring witness to it. The Anemo Archon had told me how he had taken the appearance of his friend when he attained his god-like powers.. I was somewhat inspired. I decided to freeze my appearance from aging so I wouldn't have to live, changing, without my mom seeing me grow."

╰┈➤ She was obviously upset. It seems she hasn't gotten over what had happened in the nation 500 years ago. You suppose what she said explains her child-like appearance, but you couldn't help feeling bad now every time you saw her.

Me explaining in terms of strictly how I read canon I think Nahida not severely punishing the Sages is just meant to convey that Nahida, even when wronged, is not a very vengeful or harsh person and makes the choice to be kind instead, but in my mind I have this idea of a Nahida interpretation which elaborates on that where her self punishing tendencies extend to her being someone who internally downplays her own experiences constantly, and as a result has a hard time feeling she’s allowed or justified in placing a lot of blame on the Sages for what they did to her So while she is following her own philosophies regarding teaching lessons/wisdom/etc in how to handle the Sages and genuinely doesn’t want to be really angry or punishing because of who she is as a person, her decision is also influenced by the fact she’s basically blocked herself out of grappling with how to handle people who hurt her by blaming herself for said hurt instead as a coping mechanism. And like this is all just me being insane about Nahida Trauma and not something explicitly implied in canon but also I really do think this isn’t a far stretch from her canon characterization especially when my vision isn’t to conclude that Nahida needs to be angry and vengeful but she should extend the kindness she shows others to herself and also every day I get tormented thinking about she was the mental equivalent of an average human child when the Sages found her and how they basically specifically discarded her for being a child and the idea of how Nahida would pick up on + internalize that and eventually need time to unlearn it

Headcanon that Nahida is grassei, chronojest, and verdantmagica!

Grassei - an identity best described by being a grass-type pokemon and the grass type’s characteristics — grass-type moves, traits of grass-type pokemon, colors and visual features associated with the grass type, etc.

Chronojest - A chronosian or transage* term for when your age depends on whatever is funniest in the moment. it can be a range or specific ages.

Verdantmagica - A gender revolving around green witch magic, like nature magic, healing, and meditation.
