🍑 Liang 🍑

Liang is secretly smitten with you from the day you joined them in Cell 8, but keeps his feelings to himself. He just finds you so adorable, what with your short height and cute demeanor

When it comes to your first spar, he considered going easy on you, but doesn't hold back way too much

Then he realizes how tough you really are and he's floored. Since when could someone so little but so strong?!

He praises your skill, and decides to train even harder in order to get better at sparring with you

Needless to say he learned not to judge books by their covers that day

🧘 Upa 🧘

Upa is unsure about having such a seemingly weak cellmate at first, and isn't overly fond of you

However, he decides to take it upon himself to help you become stronger so you can properly fight and defend yourself

Cue your first spar together, and he's absolutely taken aback when he realizes you are anything but frail and fragile like he had assumed

After the initial shock wears off he's thoroughly impressed with your strength and commends you for it, as well as apologizing for misjudging you so greatly

He gains an enjoyment in sparring with you as it really tests his limits, considering you're just as strong as- if not stronger- than him

💐 Qi 💐

Qi has his eyes set on wooing adorable little you right away, and has no shame in showing it off by flirting with you constantly and offering you flowers

He is set up for a spar with you per Samon's orders for training one day, and it doesn't take long before you literally knock him on his ass

He's shocked and wonders just where you were hiding all that strength. For someone short and cute, you packed a helluva punch

Being typical lazy Qi, he doesn't ever really offer to spar with you, so you only spar when ordered to, but every single time he secretly hopes you'll go easy on him

He's honestly a little concerned on where someone like you had picked up such skill, but of course impressed as well

🐒 Samon 🐒

Samon is at first unsure how you managed to get into working at Nanba, given your stature and seemingly weak appearance, but he figured you must just be stronger than you look

After all, getting a job at Nanba is extremely difficult, so no "weak" person would be able to cut it

He'd soon find out his assumption is true after watching you wrestle two rowdy inmates to the floor after they had started a fist fight

Decides to challenge you to a spar to really test your capabilities, and needless to say, you were anything but weak like he had thought at first

He commends you on your abilities and from then on out is thankful to have such a tough guard on hand, as you prove to be useful in keeping the more aggressive inmates in check

Finally, the workday was over. Your job had been more demanding than usual today and had left you with an overwhelming sense of fatigue. You wanted nothing more than to change into some comfy clothes, grab a snack, and feel your loving partner's arms wrap around you. Unfortunately, Koinosuke's hours at Nanba Prison were lengthy and unpredictable, which meant you'd be left to your own devices for at least a few more hours.

As you fiddled with the keys to the apartment you both shared and turned the handle, you were greeted with a sight that evaporated all the day's stress in an instant. There in the corner of the kitchen, with a ladle in hand and the other resting on his hip, was your boyfriend Koinosuke. His white hair was tied loosely behind him with a thin ribbon and he was wearing the customized "Kiss the Kitsune" apron you had gifted him for Valentine's Day. As you set your bag down, Koinosuke turned at the gentle noise and immediately set down his cooking utensils with a smile. He quickly glided past the dining room and scooped you into a tight, warm embrace. You both sighed happily in unison.

"My dear, I have missed you all day." He spoke with an airiness to his voice. His hands shifted to better cradle you while his eyes met yours. You couldn't help but melt into his touch and laugh quietly.

"What are you doing here, babe? Thought you had work."

"I decided to take the day off to treat you, love. And by the looks of it, I made the right decision." His eyebrows drew partly together, indicating his concern as his dark eyes scanned your features for more signs of weariness. "Long day?"

"How could you tell?" You remarked with a wry grin as Koinosuke's head tilted knowingly to the side.

"Are you really asking me that? I know you better than anyone, and I pride myself on that fact." The man exhaled as he took his hair down, letting it cascade down his shoulders and back, taking full advantage of how much he knew you adored the sight. "Which is exactly why I've already centered the evening around you and your comfort. Just let me take care of everything."

With that, he planted a supple kiss on your lips and twirled you around, leading you to the sofa in the living room. He motioned for you to sit down, and as you did he could be seen lighting the candles that were perched on the console and end tables in front of you. The smell of cardamom and amber swirled through the atmosphere while Koinosuke stood up behind you and rested his lithe hands on your shoulders. You let out a deep breath and allowed yourself to sink into the plush fabric of the couch, tilting your head back to look at your partner through lidded eyes.

"Massage?"

A chuckle escaped from your lips almost in disbelief. "Are you an angel?"

"I should be the one asking you that." Koinosuke leaned forward and whispered into your neck in between kisses. "You are what I've been waiting for my entire life, the sole reason I can sleep in peace and wake in bliss. As close to perfection as a human could ever be."

Everyone knew Koinosuke was a romantic, you more than anyone, but this was different...this love bordered on veneration. His careful grip on your shoulders stiffened and slacked with the rhythm one would use to recite a prayer. His deft fingers ghosted over your collarbone with affection and reverence, the kind Galatea surely experienced from humble Pygmalion. Although, instead of being a creation of his own, you were a work of art solely by your own efforts. For someone like you to be in his life, to be in his home, to be his...was a miracle in and of itself. Surely he must have done something right to have been blessed to share his existence with you, and now that he had you Koinosuke would make sure to worship you forever.

Once all of your achiness had been rubbed away and you were lying comfortably on your back, Koinosuke unrolled the oversized crimson blanket that was at your feet. He had insisted on buying it when you both went shopping for the apartment, and even though it was somewhat impractical you were glad he got it. It was a beautiful cashmere that effortlessly covered both of your bodies, and the color only added to its luxury. You watched as your partner was swathed by its velvety fabric and as he crawled over your frame on the couch. God, he was so weak for you. You could see it in the way his pupils dilated and hear it in the way his breath picked up. You could smell it in the shampoo he switched to because it was your favorite and taste it on his lips that spoke your name like an orison. You could even feel it as your hand reached up to his chest to feel just how madly his heart was beating for you.

He closed his eyes and shuddered as his head fell forward, causing a few pale strands to gently slide onto your face. You laughed at the ticklish sensation and tucked some of his hair behind his ear to better view the blush creeping onto his features. Koinosuke was just about to go in for another kiss and cuddle you for the rest of the evening when you noticed that his apron was still tied securely around his waist.

"Koinosuke? Weren't you making something when I came home?"

The man paused and laughed but with a slight sense of nervousness. "I was...but I was already finished by the time you came back, you see. Besides, I can't focus on anything other than you when you're with me, so it was only natural that I stopped."

You swooned for probably the thousandth time that evening but managed to focus the conversation back on your boyfriend's cooking before you forgot again. "Sooo...what's on tonight's menu then?"

Koinosuke leaned back so he was no longer on top of you and averted his eyes. "Well, it was supposed to be miso soup but-"

"Oh, that sounds delicious!" You beamed before rising and slipping out of the blanket. "Warm soup and snuggles with my partner after work? I must be the luckiest person on the planet, hehe."

"I was thinking the same thing..." Koinosuke gulped as he trailed after you and into the kitchen.

"You really didn't have to treat me to all this, Koinosuke." You spoke as you grabbed a bowl from the overhead cabinet. "It's enough that I get to come home to you every night, but I can't say I don't enjoy the extra pampering, hehe."

Your boyfriend nodded in anxious agreement as the pit in his stomach got heavier, and he couldn't help but shut his eyes and turn away as you lifted the pot lid.

"Um, is this it or...?" Your eyebrow quirked upwards in confusion. What sat before you was a murky, brown concoction that had no vegetables, no tofu, and miraculously no moisture anywhere in its composition. You picked the pot up and shifted it from side to side, watching as the sludge oozed along and stuck to the sides of the container. "I take it this isn't exactly what you were going for-"

"Please, love. I'm embarrassed enough." Koinosuke whimpered as he held the neatly folded apron an arm's length away. "I don't deserve this treasure anymore, I'm unworthy of it. In fact, I'll never set foot in our kitchen ever again-"

"Woah woah woah, slow down babe!" You panicked as you put the pot back onto the stovetop. "No one is mad, okay? I could never be upset at you, especially after all the trouble you went through for me today."

The pitiful man in front of you sniveled as his shoulders slumped in defeat. "But it's not even soup anymore! I thought I was following the recipe down to a tee but it ended in disaster..."

"And that's fine! Koinosuke please, it's going to be alright, I promise." Your hands outstretched to cup his dejected face and only then did his woeful eyes meet yours. Before he could get another word in, you pressed a deep kiss to his lips that had his eyebrows knitting together and his hands clutching at the apron he now held close. It was breathy and drawn out, but you knew this was the only way for him to stop degrading himself and actually listen to what you had to say. When you finally broke the kiss, Koinosuke was a blushing mess with a vulnerable expression and a rapid heart rate to match.

"Listen. I know you wanted this dish to be perfect, but just because it wasn't doesn't mean that this evening was any less enjoyable. It's moments like these that make our nights especially memorable, and I wouldn't trade this experience or you for the world."

"But, dear I..." Koinosuke started but paused as he saw a pout begin to form on your face. His heart ached at the sight, so he decided to choose a better set of words for you.

"...Thanks. For everything, for all of this." He sighed, setting the apron on the counter behind him and wrapping his arms around your torso. "I tried my best and it didn't work out, but you help to remind me every day that it's human nature to make mistakes, and that that's okay." His eyes fluttered shut as he pulled you closer so that your forms were flush against each other. He nuzzled into your skin and peppered kisses wherever he was able, all the while running his thumbs on your back in a soothing rhythm. You had never felt safer, and while your hearts' had begun to beat at the same time, something else had synchronized between you.

A mortifyingly loud grumble erupted from your stomachs simultaneously, and you both couldn't help but let a few giggles escape.

"Wanna get takeout, tonight?" You said in between chuckles.

Koinosuke looked at you through watery eyes with a grin so wide that it made his cheeks sore. Whether those tears were from laughter or his love for you wasn't important right now. What did matter was that you were his and he was yours. He wiped his eyes and kissed you before cracking up again.

"Yeah, takeout sounds perfect."

"Guess what."

Qi said to Liang who sighed. "What now?" Liang asked and looked at Qi who had a grin plastered onto his face.

"We're getting a new cellmate today!" He cheered getting both Liang and Upa's attention. "You're serious?" "Of course I am! I heard the guards talking about it yesterday." Qi said and Upa turned to him.

"So, what's he like?" Upa asked and Qi shrugged. "How would I know? They never mentioned anything about his appearance or how he acts." Qi said making his two cellmates sigh.

"But they did mention he was kind of dangerous so they'll have to come and check up on him often." Qi added and Liang hummed.

"Interesting.." He mumbled. A couple hours passed before they heard footsteps outside of the cell before they came to a stop and that's when the cell's door opened.

"This is inmate 132 (random number I picked) or you could refer to him as Y/n. He's going to be your new cellmate.

You guys get along." Inori said and nudged you into the cell before locking the door and leaving. "He's much shorter than I thought he would be.." Qi said and squinted his eyes a bit. "Shut up." You said with a slight glare making him shut up instantly. "Anyways, I'm Upa." Upa said and placed a hand on his chest.

"The one you told to shut up is Qi or scum." He said and pointed to Qi who did a small wave. "And this is Liang." Liang stared at you for a few seconds before clearing his throat. "Hello." He simply said and you nodded your head registering their names.

"As you already know I'm Y/n. Nice to meet you all." You smiled slightly before taking a seat on the floor. Liang slowly scotted over to you before getting your attention. "What's up?" You asked him making him freeze up a bit.

"Uhm...what's your favorite food?" Liang blurted out before slapping a hand on his forehead for asking that. "(F/f) (favorite food). Why?" "No reason." He said and rubbed the back of his neck. "Aww~ Is someone tryna flirt?~" Qi teased with a mocking grin. "Qi..." Liang growled and stared him down.

"My bad my bad!" Qi quickly said before you let out a soft laugh.

"You and your friend are funny.." You told Liang who had a light pink hue on his cheeks. "He's not really my friend, but thanks." Liang said with a gentle smile. Looks like you two had hit it off pretty quickly.

Gremlin. That‘s what Samon calls that little bundle of chaos, or in other words; his boyfriend. First, it seemed like a rather harsh petname to give your lover, but all of building 5 learned to respect, accept or agree with that decision soon enough.

(Y/N)‘s mood was so unpredictable, but so incredibly predictable at the same time. Or rather, Samon forgets how easy he could tell what he was up to all the time.

„I wonder where (Y/N) is. Lunch break is already over.“ Oh right. He falls asleep in the spot after every meal without a care in the world.

„(Y/N), what are you-“ Ugh. Of course he dashes out to accompany the inmates to the gaming room.

„I‘m sorry, I can‘t fight you today. (Y/N) should be fre-“ „Ooooooh Li wants to fight!?“ „Where the hell did you come from?“

Nothing worth worrying or pondering about, actually. Though, it can suck quite a bit of energy from the supervisor, only just a bit. What really makes him a little gremlin is something else. In a moment of weakness - or rather, as (Y/N) was snacking on a peach bun - Liang and Upa were fighting two vs. one against Samon. A special occasion, I might add. Neither of the inmates seemed to be in the mood for cooperation that day. So one thing lead to another and…As Liang aimed a kick to Samon‘s stomach from one side, and Upa was charging his own attack from the other, Samon waited for the perfect moment to jump backwards, leading the two of them to collide.

The kick ended up flinging Upa away, and outside the training grounds. Crashing right into (Y/N), sending them both to the rocky ground. The peach bun now in the shape of a pancake, spread all over (Y/N)‘s guard uniform.

As soon as Upa realized what had happend, he stood up and apologized for crashing into him, before turning around to his cellmate, „Hey Liang, watch your foot, damnit!“ The poor boy didn‘t even notice the guard standing menacingly behind him, not until he felt his hand grab the back of his neck. „I‘ll make you pay.“

„(Y/N). It was an accident.“, Samon walked up to them, beads of sweat rolling down his temple, „I‘ll get you a new bun, and a clean uniform.“

„This is not about that!“, (Y/N) spat back, face unreadable, eyes burning holes into the back of Upa‘s head. „Then what is…“, too late.

Laughter. (Y/N)‘s laughter drumming through the area, letting go of the poor inmate, „Just kidding. Hehehehehe.“

„DAMNIT, YOU LITTLE GREMLIN!“

Samon didn‘t know if he was more mad about falling for it yet again, or the fact (Y/N) dared to do it yet again.

Child-like

Narrowing his eyes, (Y/N) stared at the plate of food infront of him. It was like he was trying to eradicate it with his fuming glare. His fellow inmates held a considerably large distance between them and him, fearing the aura that was slowly starting to seep through and out of his body. „What‘s wrong, (Y/N)?“, Liang sat down across from the male, next to Upa who was already sighing, „Is that even a question at this point?“, the Qigong master deadpanned.

„They forgot the flag.“, (Y/N)‘s tone was far too serious for the scenario that was going down, at least for those around him. To him, the missing flag on his burger could as well be a declaration of war. How dare they?

„I wonder if they enjoy this.“, Qi muttered to himself, joining the group at the table with his own tray in hand. It happened to be loud enough for his boyfriend to hear, however, judging by that loud scoff that was followed by a pout. Chuckling to himself, Qi placed down his tray and moved to solve this growing dilemma before it could actually become a problem. He stuck a little flag ontop of (Y/N)‘s burger, „You know, I still don‘t get why you get so worked up over this.“

As if worked with magic, the thick blanket of anger disappeared and made space for sparkles of childish joy to float in the air around the young man. You could hear the entirety of the cafeteria sigh in unision, not including Qi. He settled for a head-shake, lips adorned with a fond smile. „Heh, you‘re welcome.“, he chuckled out at how (Y/N) gulped down his flag-adorned burger, despite not being thanked for his service at all. It‘s fine though. Seeing that bright smile and hearing that cute little giggle was enough.

Besides, he was looking forward to the nap together after lunch.

Thank You!

-You liked your job, working in Nanba Prison, in Building 5, you were a guard, but you were more of the paperwork type of guard, handling all the reports and paperwork for your supervisor, Gokuu Samon.

-You admired the hard work he put into his building, you also admired his kind heart, willing to let several of the inmates train alongside him.

-You were like the mother of Building 5, to the inmates of cell 8 and Samon to be specific, as you were the one to encourage them to take breaks while they were training, preparing tea and snacks for them.

-Qi adored you, wanting to constantly flirt with you, something Qi and Liang wouldn’t allow, as they both respected you, you treated them like normal people, not as criminals, something they appreciated.

-The only thing that Samon didn’t like about you was your partner, a Capuchin monkey, who is usually seen sitting on your shoulder, his tail wrapped around your neck, to balance himself.

-It’s not like he had anything against your partner, Boo-Boo, but it was the jokes that everyone would make if both were in the same room, telling Samon, “Hey look it’s your brother.” And other jokes like that!

-It was so annoying and irritating!! It would get him riled up almost as much as when he would have to converse with Hajime!

-You were the only one who didn’t make jokes like this, something Samon did appreciate, but only because you didn’t really understand the jokes, much to his dismay.

-Boo-Boo was your baby, the two of you grew up together after you saved him from a poacher’s trap, and where you went, Boo-Boo was sure to follow.

-Boo-Boo was a guard as well, mainly helping you out, but he was skilled in the sense that he could easily traverse vents, hiding from inmates that were out and about, tattling to you on naughty prisoners or guards who were slacking off.

-Many didn’t like Boo-Boo, as he was a snitch, something Qi often complained about, as he would tattle to you if he wasn’t doing something he shouldn’t have been, mainly slacking off.

-Samon did appreciate Boo-Boo’s work ethic, as he would tell the leader of the 5th building if any guards were slacking off, pointing them out, to which then Samon would discipline them.

-You were content with your work, delivering paperwork between the different buildings, making tea and snacks, and staying in the office for the most part, keeping it running smoothly.

-Upa often joked to Samon, as they were both watching you puttering around the office while they were taking a short break, “This building would fall apart if it wasn’t for Y/N.” and Upa had been surprised when Samon just nodded, agreeing with him.

-You hoped that you would get to stay here at Nanba for a long time, you and Boo-Boo both!

About the alpha — Multifandom

Notes: This is in no way, shape, or form how you have to imagine their meetings or who they are in my writings, I always try to keep these vague, but in case you want to know how I think their story and meeting with the omegas would go.

I will do Inuyasha's characters separately, cause I think of so many ways they could meet each other, and that's to all of the characters.

Warnings: might have grammar errors, heavy spoilers on HTTYD, and mild on Voltron (principally Shiro's and Lotor's)

Now I must explain this first, when I make a Character x Reader I don't normally include the other characters having an Alpha(Reader), so if in certain scenarios where they would be the "same person" just think of two different universes.

I'm also aware that some of these might change significantly or completely the plotline of their anime/series.

» Voltron:

For Keith and Lance, I imagine the alpha being an Altean who was with Coran and Allura, more specifically Allura's older brother (by a maximum of 5 years).

For Hunk the alpha is another race of aliens, I cannot choose between Galra and Olkari, so maybe a hybrid of both. I just know I would love for his alpha to be a Blade of Marmora member.

For Shiro is a lot more simple, they would be a human, either part of the Atlas crew or a civilian he met after the war. If he met them before the Cerberus mission (like Adam), I do think Alpha would also go to the mission.

Now for Lotor is more complicated, I would love for him to have a childhood friend with who he fell in love in the future, but for that to happen they would have to be Galra and I don't know if he would fall in love with a Galra considering what he said about them on his close to last moments. So he might fall in love before his hatred started, that's the only way this could ever work.

» Stardew Valley:

Obviously, for both Sam and Sebastian, the alpha would be the new farmer, but I think the way they would meet is different.

While Sam has seen the farmer around town and pretty early on have talked to them and become friends, that's a little more difficult for Sebastian, who spends most of his days inside his room.

So the farmer will have heard of him by Sam and Robin, maybe even Abigail and Maru, but has never seen him. The first time they see each other is on a rainy day when Sebastian decides to go to the beach.

» How To Train Your Dragon:

Hiccup and Snotlout would only date someone who's from Berk, preferably a fellow Dragon Rider. For Dagur we have two ways, either alpha was a dragon hunter and redeem themselves with Dagur, or they're a Defender of the Wing member who worked close to the Dragon Riders on some missions (I love Dagur and Mala as a couple, even though it was kind of rushed).

For Viggo, he would only date a Dragon Hunter, but they would've only become one because of him, they wouldn't feel pleasure in killing or slaving dragons. When he went to hide after falling into the volcano, he would have made his alpha hide with him, and on his redeem, they both would die.

» Boku no Hero:

For all three of them (Bakugou, Todoroki, and Kirishima), their alpha is in the hero support class and they're the ones responsible for their omega's hero suit. Or they're at a maximum a civilian, I cannot see them dating another hero, I don't know why.

» Nanbaka:

These are quite simple also, for Musashi and Liang alpha would have to be an inmate, but not for a serious crime like murder, maybe they're in for robbery (for survival) or for escaping arrest/prison.

For Hajime, they would either be a civilian who visits him from time to time, or another guard as long as their relationship doesn't affect their work.

Enki depends on the time, if they met when he was a guard then they would have to be a guard, but if they met when he became an inmate, then they would also have to be an inmate.

“Did cell thirteen escape again?”

“No, I need help checking mail for my building.”

“Oh, umm, sure thing.” You followed him to building thirteen’s office. Sorting mail was an easy task, so why in the world did he feel the need to ask you for help? Maybe he was just stressed out lately and needed a break. You noticed a small stack of letters sitting neatly by Hajime’s desk. “These?”

“No,” He grabbed your shoulders and spun you around. “These,”

“Holy mother of…” Your eyes widened in shock at the sight that lay before you. A mountain of pink and red letters stood so tall that they were being squished against the ceiling. “I… I didn’t know building thirteen was so damn popular.” You grabbed a card from the pile, stepping back as it caused a small landslide of paper.

“It’s not building thirteen, it’s cell thirteen.” Hajime pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. “Mostly for inmate eleven.”

“…EH?!” All of this mail for one cell? You’d never heard of something so crazy.

A hand shot out from the pile, grabbing your ankle. You stepped back in surprise, pulling the arm with you. Seitarou’s head popped out of the pile, taking in a big gulp of air. “Th-Thank you! You saved me!” He cried, clutching tightly onto your leg. “I thought I was going to die!”

You sweatdropped, patting his head awkwardly.

“Let’s get to work!” Hajime ordered. “We have to check every single letter!”

This was so not how you planned to spend your Tuesday night, but that’s exactly how it went. Even with the effort of three people, it still took almost eight hours to finish going through all of them for contraband. It was exactly five-thirty in the morning when Seitarou set down the final letter, letting out a relieved sigh.

Hajime sat two separate stacks on the coffee table before leaning back on the couch. “These were mixed in with our pile,”

Pile was hardly the right word to use.

“One stack goes to building five, the other goes to building three.”

You heaved a tired sigh. “I’ll take five,”

The prison was almost completely silent. The sun hadn’t risen yet, so most of the inmates were still sleeping while the guards were taking it easy. As you made your way past building five’s courtyard, you noticed Liang training. He was being watched over by Rokuriki. Well, technically, the guard in question had fallen asleep. You couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous.

You paused to watch Liang train. Did that boy ever rest? It seemed like every time you saw him he was busy training. It was kind of endearing how hard he was working given his situation.

Feeling your stare, his magenta eyes locked onto your own. Jogging over to you, he glanced over at Rokuriki. “I can wake him up if you need…”

“Nah, he looks pretty exhausted. Let him rest, but make sure you wake him up if you see Gokuu coming.”

“You look quite tired, as well.” Liang mused, resting the back of his hand against your cheek.

“Ah,” you rubbed the back of your head. “I was up all night helping Hajime check Valentine cards. I had no idea that Uno was so popular, my god.”

“Did he really get that many?”

“It was a literal mountain.” You laughed. “It reached the ceiling!”

He smiled automatically when your laugh reached his ears. “What brings you over here?”

“Oh right,” you held up the stack of letters. “These got mixed in with the ones delivered to our office.”

“If you’re willing to trust me… I can make sure the guards get them.”

You smiled. “That’d be great! I really need a nap…”

“I’m happy to help.” He smiled softly, pecking your cheek. “Sleep well… Y/N.”

A yawn passed your lips as you lay on the couch in building thirteen’s office. Hajime was off to a meeting for the supervisors and Seitarou was making his rounds, so the office was silent. You had almost drifted off to sleep when the door slammed open, making you fall off the couch in surprise.

“Are you okay?” A familiar voice filled with concern reached your ears.

Rubbing the sleep from your eyes, you noticed Liang kneeling next to you and Gokuu standing in the doorway. “I’m fine, no worries. What can I do for you both?”

Gokuu folded his arms over his chest. “Liang said he has something important to talk to you about. Bring him back to building five when you’re done – I have a meeting to get to.”

Liang waited until Gokuu was gone before addressing you. “I apologize, I should have waited for you to get some rest.”

“Don’t worry about it.” You patted his shoulder, situating yourself back onto the couch. “What did you need to talk about?”

His cheeks darkened and he averted his gaze. “Today is Valentine’s day…”

You shifted so that your back was against the couch, legs stretched out in front of you. “It is, but after dealing with Uno’s fanmail, I’d be happy to never see another pink or red envelope again.”

“Did you receive anything?”

“Aside from Uno’s pickup line, no.”

“Pickup line?”

You hummed, letting your head fall back onto the cushion. “It’s an everyday occurrence, so it’s nothing special.”

“I see…”

“What about you, Liang? Any love letters, hmm?” You grinned, poking his cheek. “I bet you’re popular with the ladies, as well.”

“Why would you think that?” He flushed.

“Because you’re gorgeous,” you murmured softly, gently tugging on his earring.

His cheeks darkened until they matched the shade of his outfit.

Realizing what you had said, you quickly pulled away and straightened yourself out. “Sorry, I shouldn’t have said that. It was out of line.”

Liang took a deep breath to steel his nerves. “If that’s the case, then I must apologize in advance. I came here to confess my feelings to you. I’ve been in love with you for a while now. I treasure every moment spent with you and I hate that you work in building thirteen. I wish you were part of building five so I could see your beautiful smile every day.”

You were surprised. “So the rumors were true, then.”

“Rumors? What rumors?”

“Rock told me that Qi told him that you like me. I guess there’s not much else for the prisoners to do but gossip.” You chuckled, turning your body to face him. “I have to admit, I’m surprised it’s true though.”

“Damn him,” Liang muttered, eyes narrowing at the ground.

You reached out, gently holding his cheeks between your palms. “It’s a good thing he did it. It gave me hope that you felt the same.”

Before he could respond, you pulled him forward and claimed his lips as your own. His slender fingers wrapped around your wrist as he pushed himself closer to you. A few minutes passed before he broke the kiss, unable to control the bright smile that spread across his face.

“I wish this moment could last forever…”

“Nonsense. There will be many more moments to come, Liang. Don’t fixate on just one.” You returned his smile, resting your forehead against his.

As your fingers intertwined, you knew this was the start of something special.

Gokuu rounded up the prisoners and guards of building five. It was sudden, without warning, and had everyone on their guard. Meetings among the guards were a normal occurrence, but they rarely ever included the inmates. His eyes scanned the rec room to ensure that everyone had assembled. Once he was satisfied with the numbers, he cleared his throat and folded his arms behind his back to make himself look as official as possible. “We have a new guard joining building five today,”

“A new guard?” Kokoriki put his hand on his hip and scowled. “Do they think we can’t handle ourselves?”

“This is a prison full of sneaky and conniving inmates. There’s never enough guards around.” Gokuu stepped to the side. “This is Y/N, formerly a guard for building thirteen.”

Everyone was left speechless. They all knew you quite well since you visited many times in the past and they were confused as to why you suddenly decided to transfer.

“Why did you decide to transfer?” Rokuriki asked with concern, voicing what everyone was thinking. “Did something happen?”

“Ah, well…” you rubbed the back of your head. “Thirteen is quite hectic. There’s never a moment of peace to let you stop and catch your breath. Too much excitement for my blood.” You caught Liang’s gaze and winked at him.

The shock and surprise disappeared from his face, replaced by a beautiful and radiant smile. He was ecstatic at the news.

It took you a while to dodge everyone welcoming you and asking you questions, but you managed it by hiding in a dead-end corridor off the main hallway. Crowds had never really been your forte – that’s why you asked to be assigned to thirteen in the first place. Sure, cell thirteen was a pain, but the rest of the inmates kept to themselves and there were only two guards you had to interact with. It was the perfect situation for you.

“Are you okay, love? You seem stressed.”

You whipped around, ready to put on the cheerful guard act when you realized who it was that was standing in front of you. Your body relaxed and you smiled softly. “I didn’t expect such a reception, is all.”

Liang smiled, resting his hands on your hips. “Everyone loves you,” his lips feathered over your own. “But none more than I.” You shared a long, chaste kiss that made your heart skip a beat. “I can’t believe you actually transferred for me.”

You chuckled, tugging at his collar. “You’re stuck with me now, Liang.”

“I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

🐒 Samon 🐒

From the day he first met his S/O, Samon had a deep respect for them and their abilities

He’s very impressed with their strength and how many weapons they can weild, not to mention how well they do it

He enjoys to spar with them, testing their strength first hand and seeing just how much they know

The first time they managed to defeat him, he’s stunned, but it only deepens his respect for them

Gives his S/O plenty of compliments on their strength (And other things, of course)

Not overly protective, seeing as how capable his S/O is at fending for themselves, but can’t help but feel at least a bit protective either way

After all, he wants to ensure their safety

🍑 Liang 🍑

Is taken aback by their abilities the first time he bears witness to what they’re capable of. It’s been a long time since he’s seen someone with such skill

Definitely surprised that they are able to fight so well and weild so many different weapons with such efficiency

He silently admires them from afar after getting a crush on them for a while before finally admitting how he feels

Asks them to teach him some of their moves-- he’s greatly interested in learning some of their skills

Like Samon, he takes enjoyment in sparring with his S/O and testing each other’s strengths

Probably asks to spar daily

Carries a deep respect for his S/O and does his best to look out for them

🧘 Upa 🧘

He never really admits it before they start dating, but he is impressed with his S/O’s abilities and, like Liang, opts to admire them from a distance

As he warms up to them, he gets more open about his respect for them and compliments them every now and then

Though of course, in true Upa fashion, he always has some sort of critisism for them

But he really means it in good faith

Once he and his S/O are together, he offers to train with them to sharpen their skills further

Easily gets irritated if anyone says anything negative about his S/O, especially if they dare call them anything on the lines of “weak”

Cares deeply for his S/O and would do anything for them. Though it’d take a while for him to admit something so sappy

💐 Qi 💐

Quite impressed when he first sees their skills first hand

Contemplates offering performance enhancing drugs at one point to further increase their abilities, but is scolded by Liang and Upa for it

They’re strong enough as is, and they can get stronger naturally, no need for any drugs!!

He’ll gladly whip up some regular medicine for them if they get hurt training or through other means though

His S/O best not expect to get many spars out of Qi given his nature, but maybe he’ll give in and do a couple every now and then if they bug him enough

May not be as into sparring as his S/O is, but he’s very encouraging and supportive in his own way

Liang and Upa wonder how someone as lazy as Qi won the heart of someone who’s the complete opposite of him

Nanbaka: Upa x Nico’s Hyper Sister! Reader

Originally from my Nanbaka oneshots on Wattpad. If you would like to read them my Wattpad is in the links on my page

Ever since my brother Nico and I got separated into different prisons Ive been escaping every single one trying to find him. I mean we would escape together before that, but that's because the medication were needles. I don't do well with needles and my brother Nico doesn't like them because it hurts him. Over the years I've lived in random apartments from time to time until the police caught me again and usually the only way the catch me again is because I get caught stealing anime merch, or even killing people for rare merch that comes out. Especially if I don't take my meds soon enough. In a way i'm like my brother except i'm shorter and almost a year younger. 11 months to be exact.

ANYWAYS! Remember how I told you I killed people for anime merch. Yeah well that just happened and i'm currently being sent to Nanba prison that is located in the middle of an ocean. Yeah you heard me! It’s quite literally on a giant rock somewhere just off the coast of Japan. Everyone said that it's supposed to be a prison for boys, but they didn't really know what else to do with me. I've already escaped the top security prisons on land, so the police just ended up talking to the warden of Nanba prison. Obviously she decided to make an exception for me. I had to meet her about a week ago so that way she could approve of my prison sentence there. She told me that I had to go on birth control just in case, because most of the inmates are perverted. I was just told by the guards on the helicopter with me that my inmate number is 24 and i'll staying in block 5 cell 8. I wonder how big it is?

(Third p.o.v)

"Cell 5! You're getting a new cell mate!" Samon yelled as some of the other guards walked in with a prison bed and set it down for you.

"Wait who?" Liang asked curiously.

"I don't know I just know that they are some kind of escape artist. Oh! and apparently they like anime a lot." Samon spoke closing the cell door once the guards were out so the three inmates inside wouldn't leave.

"Nico!?" Upa shouted shivering at the thought having to share a cell with him.

"No. you wouldn't know them. The inmate is coming here on a helicopter right now." Simon answered Upa's question.

"So is the inmate nice?" Qi asked finally speaking.

"I don't know." Simon spoke again.

"Is he good with fighting skills?" Liang then asked.

"I don't know." Samon said growing irritated by the questions at this point.

"Is this inmate going to be annoying?" Upa asked making Samon officially explode in anger.

"I said I don't know! I already told you everything I was told!!!" Samon shouted at the boys before storming off.

“Damn. What crawled up his ass and died today?” Qi asked like he didn’t just annoy the hell out of the supervisor.

(YOU POV)

Once I arrived I gasped in suprise at how amazing the prison looked. I suddenly noticed this monkey looking guard waiting for me to get off the Helicopter. He had a tail and everything!

"Hiya! OH MY GOSH! Are you actually part monkey!? Is your tail real!?! You're like a real life anime character huh!?" I shouted trying to grab his tail. surprisingly it swayed away from me before I could even touch it.

“Hey! Don’t you know its rude to walk up to someone and touch them without permission!? Who even are you anyways!?" The money looking guard asked a bit rudely. I just ignored his irritation.

"Oh, I'm (y/n)... The new inmate? Where you not informed of me?" I suddenly said confused. He looked at the men who brought me here to see if this was serious. They just nodded and he turned to me clearing his throat. He blushed in embarrassment.

"Very well. Right this way... My name is Samon and i'm the supervisor for block 5. I’m also the assistant for the warden." Monkey man introduced himself and starting to escort me to my cell. or well I assumed.

"That's cool! So you'll be watching me, huh?" I asked not realizing how creepy that sounded. He just nodded before saying.

"Sorry about how i reacted to meeting you. It's just this prison doesn’t have any girls and. i DO NOT! Like my tail being touched." I noticed we turned into a hall with a bunch of cells.

"Oh its okay I totally understand!! It's not every day a girl is in this prison especially an inmate." I answered paying more attention to the decor of the prison than the actual conversation.

"So is there anything I should know that the warden might not have told me?" He asked. I thought for a few minutes.

"Um.. I need to take meds every day or I go crazy and out of control. Also the warden said I need to take birth control just in case." I stated as we stopped walking infront of a cell. He just said a simple “Okay” before opening the door.

"Well here's your new cell mate boys!" Samon shouted to the inmates that were already in the cell, gaining their attention. The three boys looked at me in complete shocked. They were all pretty cute, but there was one that stood out the most. His green hair and pale white skin made him look like a porcelain doll.

"Hey! And no funny business!!" Samon yelled as a reminder before closing the door and leaving. They were all staring at me still. I felt a bit embarrassed now so I decided to say something.

"Hi! My names (Y/n)! What are yours!?" I asked enthusiastically. The older one in the room shook his head smirking while putting down whatever it was he was smoking and walked over to me. He grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it.

"How rude of me to not introduce myself to such a lovely lady. My name i-." He got smacked upside the head by the Green haired boy.

"Sorry about him. My names Upa. That's Liang. And this trash is, Qi." He said clearly annoyed by the other male. Did he just call him trash? I stiffled a laugh not trying to seem rude.

"I could have introduced myself!" The two other boys yelled glaring at the small male.

"It's nice to meet you all." I said with a sweet smile before going over to my side of the room. Once I finished putting up my stuff on my bed and night stand I stood on said bed in triumph. I was only allowed to have this stuff because I forced them to let me bring it. What really grabbed my attention was the fact that Upa was now floating. I gasped and jumped onto his bed that he was floating above.

"Can you teach me how to do that!!? I want to float too!" I shouted. He looked at me slightly annoyed.

“You can’t just randomly jump onto my bed!! It’s my personal space!! and its not floating its called Qigong!” He answered me. I ignored his statement about personal space and got super close to his face.

“Please, please, please teach me!” I begged him with puppy dog eyes. he sighed and looked away from me with a blush on his face.

“I suppose I could try to teach you.. but that doesn't mean you'll be able to do it.” He said.

"I can totally do it!" I shouted with determination.

"You’re actually really cute when you're so devoted to something..." He mumbled. i don’t know if he meant for me to hear that, but I did. A small blush covered my face.

“What?” I whispered just enough for him to hear me.

"I.. I mean! Its very nice to see you with determination!! I dont think you’re cute! no way! Its not like I like you! How could i? I don’t even know you!" He said a little too fast.

"Would you two stop flirting? I'm trying to concentrate on learning some new moves." Laing directed over to us.

"We're not flirting!" we yelled back at him. Laughter was then heard from Qi as he said.

"Yeah sure." I was about to say something when I realized the moves Laing was trying to learn.

"Wait! I can do that!"

"Really?" Laing asked suddenly interested in what I had to say.

"Yes I learned it from an anime!" I said totally serious. The boys just started laughing making me pout a bit. They thought i was joking. Suddenly there was a loud bang and four different inmates fell onto the floor of our cell.

"See I told you I saw a girl inmate!" The boy with black and red hair yelled.

"A girl!" Two of the four boys yelled together.

"What are you doing in our cell!?" Upa shouted.

"We came to see the girl inmate that Jyugo saw walking with the monkey." A boy said with blonde and pink braided hair. I wasn't really paying attention though because I noticed something. The boy with green hair was my big brother!

"Baby sis/Big brother!!!!" We screeched to each other. I jump in his arms and he spun me around.

"I missed you!" We yelled in unison again. Everyone was staring at us in silence. Upa was the first to break it.

"She's your sister!?” Nico and I just nodded while giggling.

"We were separated into different prisons because they thought we would stop breaking out afterwards." Nico said happily clinging to me.

"Yeah, but we obviously didn't. So the judge's plan didn't really work out." I explained some more.

"So why are you in this one!?" The one with a pink and blonde braid asked getting way too close to me.

"Um... Well I kind of stole and maybe killed a man for rare anime merch. I trespass a lot, but only because I like wandering. Plus if I don't have meds I go crazy like my brother here." I said getting out of my brother's hug and stepping back so the guy wasn't so close.

"Except she is worse." Nico started. The three inmate's that came in with my brother shivered in fear.

"So you’re saying she’ll bite us if she doesnt get her meds?" The black haired boy with red at the end of his hair said.

"No I bite. She will probably try to rip your leg off." Nico said. Everyone looked terrified, but Nico and I acted like it was the most normal thing which for us it was.

"Baby sis! Let me introduce my friends. The boy with black hair is named Jyugo, The one with the braid is Uno, and the purple haired one is Rock." Nico said smiling introducing everyone. I smiled at the boys.

"Do you like food?" Rock suddenly asked.

"Of course!! Food is literally life. If I had an endless supply of food, anime, and drinks I would be good for the rest of my life!" I yelled energeticly and giving them my adorable smile.

"Why did you never tell us you had a sister?" Upa asked.

"A beautiful one at that." Laing add. Nico stared at Laing intensely. I could tell from the look on his face that he wasn’t too happy Laing was flirting. He has always been overprotective.

"Because it was a sensitive topic and.. she's my baby sister." He said the last part a deadly aura around.

"I-I can tell." Laing said putting his hands up defensively. Upa was suddenly right by me and I jump a little not excepting him to be there so quickly.

"How did you do that!?" I asked astonished because he was on the other side of the room only seconds ago.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He stated with a small smirk.

"Is it that Qigong thing you do?" I asked. My brother turned to Upa and picked him up. Pulling him in a tight hug him.

"Master!" He shouted happily.

"Put me down!" Upa yelled at my brother.

"I wanna hold him now!" I said taking him away from my brother and snuggling him like he was a teddy bear.

"Oi!! I didn't say you would pick me up either!" Upa yelled. I just snuggled into him more.

"Baby sis! Put him down." Nico tried to command me.

"Aww. But I don't wanna. You get to hold him and I don't. Thats not fair!" I said pouting.

"I'm not a damn baby!!" Upa yelled trying to get out of my arms.

"That's because i'm older and I don't want my baby sis hugging boys, no matter how cute and innocent they look." Nico said trying to steal him away from me. Upa stopped squirming and glared at my brother.

"I am not cute! And I am most definitely not innocent!" Upa shouted as everyone else was just laughing at the situation or being jealous that I wasn't snuggling them.

"See! Master isn't innocent more reason to put him down." Nico stated. I sighed in defeat and put him down.

"You know i'm the only girl in this place besides for the warden right, big brother?" I asked.

"The warden is a girl!?" Uno suddenly got heart eyes. I nodded before saying.

"She's the reason i'm here. Since I'm a super good escape artist and all. Honestly I think she has a thing for someone named Hajime because she was fantasizing about them when I met her." I stated only for Uno to fall flat on his face in disappointment.

"OI! What are you four doing in here!?" I heard the guard Samon yell stomping over. "Doesn't the gorilla know how to keep you in your cell!?"

"We came to see the girl inmate! Only to find out she is Nico's sister!! How crazy is that!?" Rock said obviously happy to meet me. In a shorter way to say they ended up having to leave with the help of Samon. I turned to Upa and smiled before picking him up again.

"You are totally cute by the way." I said holding him to my chest again. Upa's face turned bright red and he pushed his face away from me before shouting.

"Geez woman! You're going to suffocate me."

"Put him down before I come over there!!" I heard my brother yell from down the hallway.

"How did he know...?" I asked more so to myself before putting Upa down again.

Yesss new Nanbaka blog!! The anime is so underrated like smh— uuuuh can I get some headcanons as to how the Cell 8 guys each spend the night with their s/o? Like, what routine do they follow and what positions do they sleep in with their partner?

DANG STRAIGHT IT IS NONNIE, YOU SPITTIN' FACTS (｀-´)> Nanbaka always makes me crack up no matter how many times I hear the same jokes and 4th-wall breaks, its so gooooood!!

Anyways, here we go OvO Was a bit limited with ideas here but I hope you like!

🍑 Liang 🍑

He doesn’t particularly care for letting another person brush out his hair, but if you give him puppy eyes enough, he’ll make an exception

That and maybe it’s just hard to say no to you..

He’ll gladly brush your hair if you ask him, though

But have you seen this man with his hair down— dude’s freakin’ pretty

Shares some peach buns with you before settling down if he has any on hand that Rock had given him

Conversations as you lay together usually consist of the day’s activities, and Liang will likely take the opportunity to brag and try to impress you about any training matches he had won that day

If you and him hadn’t been dating that long yet, he can be a tad awkward with any intimacy given his lack of experience; be patient with him

As he gets more comfortable with closeness, he comes to find comfort in having you laying on him or having your head against his chest

You usually start out by being cuddled together with your head on Liang’s shoulder or chest, but separate into more comfortable positions in your sleep. IE, you sleep in the unraveling tangle position.

🧘 Upa 🧘

He’ll usually do some meditation before he goes to bed, and doesn’t mind if you sit beside and join him

If he hasn’t done it earlier in the day, he’ll water the cactus his family gifted him, or even let you do it (And berate Qi if he complains that you can do it and not him)

He tends to stay up just a little bit later than the rest of his cellmates, but sits beside you as you rest

Not much of a cuddly, touchy-feely parter, but might let you lay your head on his lap or lean against him if you ask

Can’t help but reach out a gently pet your head if you do rest against him, though he gets embarrassed his you call him out on it

Tsundere boy is a tsundere

When he finally does lay down to join you in sleeping, he doesn’t lay too close, but just enough to reach out and rest a hand on you so the two of you sleep in the chasing spoon position

You would have to be the one to initiate any closer contact, such as rolling around to face him and move closer

Even if he gets blushy and seems unsure about it, don’t be discouraged. He may not be very fond of cuddles, especially if they are constant, but he really can’t complain if its you.

💐 Qi 💐

Being as laid back and relaxed as he is, Qi is always the first to get in bed and ready for a snooze

However, he still has other things to do, like the others, beforehand

This includes looking through books about plants to contemplate new medicines, actually working on said medicine, pestering Upa about wanting to tend to his cactus..

But of course, he can’t forget about spending some time with you

Out of his cellmates, Qi is the most affectionate, tending to give you light kisses on the cheek or back of your neck and making loving comments as you get ready for bed

If he has to work on medicine before bed, he likes when you sit next to him, either just watching or helping him out

He loves just laying with you before actually going to sleep, facing you and running his hands through your hair, giving you a little kiss on the nose here and there as you talk

Speaking of facing you, the two of you usually sleep just like that— facing and holding each other.

Doesn’t take long for him to doze off once ready to sleep, and is out like a light in a matter of minutes, yet never lets up his hold on you

Hello! I love your writing! It's so hard to find Nanbaka writers. Can I possibly request a headcannon for Upa, Liang, and Samon with a S/O who is lazy and childish, but crazy strong and scary when protective?

🧘 Upa 🧘

At first, Upa isn’t very fond of you, your laziness and childish behavior reminding him of Qi’s own likeness

But after he gets to know you, and falls for you, he gets much more lenient about it

Although he cant help but shake his head with a hand to his face whenever you do something silly or embarrassing

Is very strict if you’re being lazy and putting off important tasks

”Y/N, you need to do it. Get up. Now.”

Can and will drag you to do the tasks if he needs to

Basically becomes your.. ”motivation” to do things, if having him hovering around and reminding you to do said things counts as motivation

Though this likely does help you to get out of your lazy bouts more easily after it goes on so long

When he first sees your protective side, he’s.. stunned to say the least

For someone who’s prone to lazing around all day, you sure are strong and scary when you need to be, and it totally caught him off guard

Needless to say, he gains a newfound respect for you, realizing that he probably shouldn’t be so quick to judge books by their cover.

🍑 Liang 🍑

Liang has mixed feelings about you at first. You’re not too bad, but your childishness and laziness could cause problems

That and you don’t seem very strong (Although he finds out otherwise!)

But he gets used to it, and ends up falling for in the end either way

He can’t lie, despite your flaws and occasional childish behavior, you’re enjoyable to be around!

Like Upa, he’s the one to make you to do things you lazily put off

Though he’s a smidge less strict about it than Upa is

He tries to motivate you to train more often, hoping to help you get out of lazy bouts and to get stronger

You can imagine his surprise when he finds out just how crazy strong you really are when you need to be, and just how protective you can be

May or may not fall for you even harder knowing this newfound fact

He’s thankful you are indeed strong when need be, he was worried that your seemingly unwillingness to be otherwise would serve to put you in danger

Given his appreciation of strong people, the two of you make a good duo

🐒 Samon 🐒

When he first meets you, he wonders how someone so lazy and childish was able to land a job here at Nanba

Then again, Inori works here.. and that boar is the embodiment of Lazy, so he isn’t too surprised

After a while of being annoyed with having to remind you to do your damn job like he does with Inori, he winds up realizing he’s falling for you. Who’d have thought?

Eventually he just lets you off the hook with your lazy bouts, but to an extent. He wouldn’t want you to end up fired after all, so he still has to drag you about to do your work every now and then

Inori definitely complains that he’s more lenient with you than he is him, but he just gets whacked for it

He’ll keep an eye on you when you’re working in the same area as he is, just to be sure you’re doing what you need to and that you don’t slip up anything

Like Liang, he’ll have training sessions with you to help you become stronger, and to get your adrenaline pumping, so it’ll be a bit easier for you to work

He first finds out about your scarily strong and protective side when you end up helping him (Or more less being the one to) wrestle down an unruly and aggressive inmate

Have you always been this tough??

Needless to say, he’s impressed with your skills and strength

Although it doesn’t mean he’ll be any less lenient on making sure you do your job!
