Woe, Parallel Play Week 2024 be upon ye! (For those uninitiated this is when I borrow the prompts of another ship week and play alongside them with my own blorbos because there's no one who will do a ship week with my obscure crossover ship and sometimes it's just nice to feel like a part of something. I will sit quietly in my corner and not disturb the ship week tags though.)
I searched for a bunch of different cultural fairytales that might have fit this prompt, but in the end I succumbed to my baser desires and made a Transistor AU, so it's more "Fiction" than "Fairytale."
I imagine the Akatsuki being the Camerata in this AU. Itachi is obviously Royce Bracket, Pain and Konan I think make a decent Grant and Asher Kendrell, and it would be really interesting for Sasori to be Sybil Reisz. You can insert any ship thoughts you would like in there, but I think he's the Akatsuki member most suited to being a flying multi-armed glitch monster.
I keep going back and forth on if I should keep Deidara or not. I feel fabulous when I put him on, but then I get back pictures and I'm like....eh?

Grabbed my akatsuki coat, and threw together a Kakuzu cosplay a while ago, went out with it for Carnaval, and i can not tell you how funny it is to just do mundane things as Kakuzu in public.
Kakuzu at the atm, Kakuzu getting a snack from the supermarket, Kakuzu sitting down at a public bench to eat said snack, Kakuzu giving a small child a high five
I absolutely loved cosplaying as Karin Uzumaki at New York Comic Con this past fall. I felt so hot and fierce as her. 🥰
Karin is my favourite Naruto gal, so I'm really happy that I was able to bring her to a handful of events last year. I'm so happy with how her top turned out. Thanks to @iron-rose-revolution-blog's help, I was able to pull this cosplay together for Anime NYC 2022, and I have plans to wear Karin to more conventions this year.
There were a lot of awesome displays throughout the Javits Center too, which is always one of my favourite parts about Comic Con! I adored the giant Kurama next to the Naruto booth and was so happy I got the chance to take some photos next to it!
Thank you so much to @knockoffcheeto for hanging out with me on NYCC Thursday and for being my photographer! I had such a blast spending my day with you. 🫶
