This should not have to be said but I've been watching random videos about various internet degenerates and the conversation drifted to Adam Dahlberg/SkyDoesMinecraft/Netnobody.

It goes without saying here on Tumblr, wouldn't go over well on Twitter, and most certainly would brush up on the sensitivities of people in your average YouTube comment section over there. But.

Even if Adam is an absolutely horrible person that does not give anybody the right to misgender them and be a prick about their identity and their pronouns. Saying as such does not equal defending them or their actions, because so many people like to interpret it this way.

The use of proper pronouns regardless of how good or bad a person is doesn't need to be stated here on Tumblr where this sort of thing has been repeated to the point of a broken record.

Yet, refusing to use the proper pronouns for somebody even if they're a horrible abuser like Adam, or a mass traitor to the trans community like Blair White or Kalvin Garrah, reflects frankly more on YOU and how YOU view the trans identity as something that is merely conditional and even if you think it's an Epic Own against shit people, it only reflects to the trans people around you that if they do something that you aren't cool with you'd go right to dehumanizing them and again, says more about you and you will no longer be considered safe by the trans folks around you.

And there's something to be said about dehumanizing shitty people, and how even if they're lower than the scum on the bottom of our shoes that dehumanization isn't exactly a good thing, but that's another rant for later.

SkyDoesMinecraft releases statement after allegations of domestic abuse

On July 24, Adam "SkyDoesMinecraft" Dahlberg tweeted a statement in response to claims of domestic abuse made by an ex-girlfriend. In the first few days of January 2022, the former YouTuber was charged with sexual harassment, assault, and paying off victims to protect his reputation. He allegedly abused drugs that would make him “go into a permanent psychosis,” and assaulted and sexually harassed “several women” according to ex-girlfriend Lizzybuggie’s allegations in early 2022. Dahlberg responded to these allegations over a year later by saying, “I’m not a horrible monster I’ve been made out to be, it hurts and it’s a lot of what is taking time to process.” He also shared he’s “off drugs, I’m eating healthy, and really alchemically focusing on my mind and body.” https://twitter.com/NetNobody/status/1683495457480163328 His primary goal seems to be focusing on future endeavors from now on, adding he was “excited” to deliver all the projects he’s been working on behind the scenes over the last few years. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I am incredibly thankful for our new Minecraft YouTubers and though I miss the good old days I'm grateful for the new ones. Time didn't feel real, my day to day life didn't feel real, I did not feel real but having something from my past run up and sucker punch me in the face reminded me "oh shit I'm here, I existed." And then I started playing again and idk man the feeling was absolutely euphoric like fuck man the music got to me instantly. COD Zombies Mob Of The Dead Map Premium Artwork Poster Art Print. Now look I have no idea why YouTubers felt inclined to replay Minecraft and I have no idea why I felt inclined to watch but once I did I felt human again? It's a really hard emotion to express but because I've been stuck in quarantine for so long nothing felt real. High quality Zombies Map inspired Art Prints by independent artists and designers from. I stopped playing Minecraft around 2016-2017 and I hadn't played since until 2020. I had done and seen everything in Minecraft and it just didn't feel like the same game anymore. So many YouTubers that I used to watch no longer played or had quite entirely from the plant form. I am what you’d consider a veteran Minecrafter, my sisters and I started playing around 2012 and I remember growing up on Stampylongnose, Skydoesminecraft, DanTDM, IHasCupQuake, Stacyplays, etc etc etc. In 2020 they came back into the Minecraft spotlight with not much success, naming their channel to 'Sky Does Everything. As of 2018, they now go by the online name NetNobody. They were a member of the now-disbanded famous Minecraft group, Team Crafted. Not that people ever stopped playing it but there was just a point where the hype around Minecraft fizzled out ya know? I can't help but remember Minecraft at its peak. Adam Dahlberg, known on YouTube as Sky Does Minecraft, is a YouTuber who is famous for calling gold 'Butter' and hating Minecraft squids. I think it’s really funny how Minecraft has exploded in popularity again kinda out of the blue.

It's so exhausting when so many of your favorite YouTubers get proven to be awful people.

SkyDoesMinecraft was an idol of mine when I was younger, along with plenty of other YouTubers. They formed my childhood and inspired me to start my own internet presence someday.

It's odd as a simple viewer when somebody you once looked up to is an awful person as it makes you feel like you need to cut that part of you away. When you idolize somebody awful, it makes you feel wrong.

I haven't been a viewer of theirs's since TeamCrafted disbanded yet I still feel sick to my stomach knowing that I, along with so many others, supported an awful person. I'm glad I got out before too much came to light so I never defended them but for those that did in the past, it's ok.

They brainwashed so many people for so long and as long as you don't defend them now, it's ok and understandable that you defend them then.

elizabeth literally said at the end of the document of her abuse that sky was violently homophobic/racist/bigoted and was likely lying to their fans to make them think they were inclusive and accepting while making elizabeth (who is bi) out to be homophobic. thats the only reason theyre getting "misgendered," because its entirely possible that they were not being truthful in the first place
