How Thorin’s Company Acts Around Their Crush

Hope all who celebrate had a wonderful Christmas! Since I’ve gotten some requests for The Hobbit characters as well I thought I would start with my usual beginning! Yes I’m repping ALL of them 😤😂 you can imagine the older members’ as taking place when they were younger or not…depends how you like it 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Balin

✧ As his feelings for you grow, so too does his care for you. As if by magic he always seems to know where you are and what you need. Being more subtle and witty with his feelings, Balin is not the easiest to decipher in terms of intention but you can be damn sure you know he cares.

✧ Shares stories with you, tales of his ancestors or days as a young dwarf roaming the mountain halls, chuckling warmly at your reactions.

✧ There to catch you whenever you fall, hands gently gripping your waist as he asks if you’re all right.

✧ Tells you how much the others like you, especially if those around you are a bit tough about it. Balin hears and sees a lot more in his position so he is quick to reassure you.

✧ “Let me get one last look at you before I go- that’s all the energy I need.”

Dwalin

Thorin

✧ Thorin is the sort to orchestrate his entire romance to a T, so you will not be able to decipher his intentions until the exact moment he plans to tell you, and that will take some time getting to know and trust you.

✧ Always moves you behind him when danger strikes, readying himself in a moment to stand in and defend you. If you've been separated, you're the first person he seeks to check on.

✧ “Give me your hand.” Anytime the terrain is rough or you could fall, Thorin takes your hand in his to gently but firmly guide you over/across it.

✧ It’s hard sometimes to defer to others especially with all the pressure of being king, but Thorin is intentionally very considerate with you, asking for your input and following your counsel.

✧ The ability to speak one's intent and feelings clearly, perhaps even with a bit of poetry, definitely runs in his family 😌 He will pay you the best compliments you've ever heard, leaving you to wonder what wheels are turning in his mind as he speaks them.

✧ Unafraid of telling you how nice your outfit looks on you whether it’s the color or the fit or, as is most likely, both! Tells you, in fact, that you’re more beautiful than any gem he’s ever seen.

✧ Elbows you lightly to get your attention, then waves at you or wiggles his eyebrows teasingly when you peer at him.

✧ Strings together some beads he has on hand along with some pretty rocks that he found to make you a little necklace or bracelet! Looks so proud as he holds it up for you too 🥺

Bofur

✧ Bofur is incredibly sweet around the one who draws his attention, always smiling when you look his way and address him and always laughing at your jokes. His actions could be seen as just friendly but he's incredibly generous and giving around you which is a bit of a tell.

✧ Starts breaking touch barriers! Just with little things like resting a hand on your shoulder as he teases you or expresses sympathy, offering a helping hand to stand back up, or taking your hand or wrist to look at your jewelry.

✧ Yours is the first hand he reaches for when Bofur starts up a song and dance. He holds you so gently but twirls you so eagerly, a smile on his face for you the whole time!

Bombur

✧ Such a quiet sweetheart! You may not be able to tell he likes you because he's so subtle with his little gifts and waves sent your way, but he's always asking about you and trying to show he cares.

✧ Lets you sneak tastes of whatever he’s making even though he’d usually smack their hand away 🥰 Also he always serves you first at the end of the day and gives you the best bit of whatever he's made! And if you're a lady, he always says “ladies first” with the sweetest smile ☺️

✧ The absolute best if you get anxiety, like he will learn exactly what is best to do for you whether it’s breathing, words, serving as a living weighted blanket for you, a phrase or sensory experience, you name it! He just wants to see you smile again 🥺

✧ Quietly leaves you flowers by your bedroll when you aren’t around, just little surprises to bring a smile to your face at day’s end.

✧ Bombur has the most hilarious theories about how he thinks he can predict the weather, so rather than have you ask Gandalf he’ll explain them all in depth until you’ve got stitches in your sides from laughing.

✧ If you break touch barriers, expect the most shocked, happy :o face from him followed by a smile that slowly grows more and more lovestruck.

Dori

✧ Another case of 'could be interpreted as friendly', Dori practically fawns over you to make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need, but because he's a big brother it can come across like his natural sibling instinct.

✧ Anyone who bothers you gets the biggest scolding of their life- watch out!

✧ Making tea is his love/connection language. He'll offer to make you a cuppa if you're cold, stressed, need some energy, you name it and he'll do it for you!

✧ Practically shushes everyone to get your opinion when a ruckus emerges over some company decision or another, making some creative excuse why you have sway over it.

✧ Dori is definitely the sort to always check in and make sure you ate and got a drink too, always getting certain you’re keeping up your strength and care for yourself.

✧ Tries to replicate anyone else’s feats. Fili threw a knife and hit a bullseye? Well watch this. Bifur balanced three bowls on his head? Care to see Ori do four? And if he doesn’t, please don’t laugh too much!

✧ Asks your favorite everything, like what flower you like the best, what meal you enjoy most, what’s your favorite color. Your favorite flower will forever make Ori think of you, and in fact it becomes his muse. He dedicated two whole pages to pressing and sketching them, one for him to keep and one for you!

Fili

✧ Epitome of 'if he teases you, he likes you'. Always shooting you jokes and smoothly grabbing your attention to show you things. Fili just gets a twinkle in his eye around you and his behavior clues you in.

✧ Teaches you the best way to throw knives, standing behind you to help you get the best angle 😏 asks if you’d like to give a name to the one you do the best with!

✧ Such a great listener. Goes full-on chin in hand just watching your animation intently, nodding and smiling as you speak.

✧ Struggle with something in Fili’s sight and you’ll never lift a finger at it again. He swoops right in to help you, always reassuring you it’s no big deal at all.

✧ Opens his arms immediately if you’re stressed or grieving, offering a warm, comforting embrace. He gives amazing hugs, too, a hand sliding soothingly up and down your back as he pulls you in.

✧ Trips and falls in front of you, but saves it by saying he lost his footing because you were so stunning 💁🏻‍♀️

Kili

✧ If he teases you he likes you part two. He also shamelessly flirts by winking at you and doing anything in his power to hear you laugh, so you'll be able to see what's up pretty quickly.

✧ He has a habit of taking things to see if you notice, just small things like if you leave your comb sitting out or lay down your weapon to go talk to someone, he'll snatch it up and hold onto it to see how long it takes! "Just keeping it warm for you ;)"

Bilbo

Why is this so high in demand? Ladies and gents, are we collectively thirsty for him??? (Me too.) and yes, I'm doing this reading for us curious and thirsty ladies and gents.

RIIZE Jung Sungchan as Your Boyfriend

Was he okay with me doing this reading? Yes. But he was at first a little hesitant and ironically shy and pretty sweet.

Remember, this is just my interpretation based on the tarot spread. All of this are alleged and for entertainment purposes only. Take it with a grain of salt.

So, what is Sungchan like a boyfriend?

Cards: knight of cups, five of cups, the chariot, page of cups, the hierophant, seven of cups, ten of wands, the empress, three of wands, ace of wands, six of swords, the devil, and eight of pentacles.

I said he's sweet, right? He is actually a sweet guy. There are cup(s) cards in this reading. I often associate the cup(s) card with emotions and Sungchan is an emotional guy.

Is your type a man who is in tune with his emotions? Someone dominant and masculine? The kind of guy who takes the lead and initiates things? A reliable man? Well, Sungchan is a total keeper.

He seems like the kind of guy who really gets you, you know? Like, for example, he can tell when you're feeling down and will always be there to cheer you up or just listen if you need to vent.

Additional information:

Sungchan's energy is pretty overwhelming for me. I'm not going to lie that I feel a little intimidated. It's like he's trying to scare me away? I'm not scared, but intimidated? Defo. I had to take a break from doing this reading by distracting myself and doing other things.

I also think his intimidating face or cold-looking expression is a mask. He might be a super sensitive guy and uses the least unattractive expression to hide this side of him. He's also SUPER masculine. SUPER DOMINEERING too. His dominant energy was very much felt during the reading.

As the reading progresses, he gets more comfortable and that's when I realised it was okay to do this reading.

Also, him as a boyfriend reminds me of Taylor Swift's song Fearless and in particular the line "But you're just so cool. Run your hands through your hair." I'm pretty sure I've seen it somewhere. A picture or fan video of him running his hand through his hair and he looked hot. That's how I thought of Fearless as the song that matches his vibe as a boyfriend. The song Baby I'm Yours by Artic Monkeys also reminds me of him.

Warnings: None really! I don't go into detail about anything graphic or anything. Nori is said to be handsy (I go on to describe it's in a good way and not sexual and only with someone he's dating)

Fili

Very much a big spoon kind of guy, always just pulling you as close as possible and burying his face in your neck. The smell of you makes him feel comfortable and safe, a lot safer than he'd feel being held as a little spoon.

He'll randomly put his arm around your waist if you're all sitting around the campfire, using the cold as an excuse for it.

If you have hair he'd love to have his hand in it while giving you big hugs. His hugs are longer cuddle-like hugs that he uses to remind himself that he can keep you safe.

Uses your cuddles as a way to relax after a long day, especially if he ends up being king one day since he's the heir, and even as the heir he has a lot of responsibilities and it weighs him down so cuddling with you is his time to relax and feel like he can let go.

Kili

Kili is a little spoon or big spoon, depending on your and his moods. If you've had a close call he's one to pull you as close to him as possible and be your big spoon to make sure you're safe and okay. Holding you is one of his favorite things to do.

So Clingy, I'm not even kidding. An arm around your waist, a hand on your hip, a hand on your shoulder, his arm looped through yours, his legs in your lap, his HEAD in your lap, the company can bet every day they'll see some new way he's decided to cuddle with you even in front of them all.

If you're more of a secretive/in-private kind of person he'd cut back on the clinginess but sometimes he'd slip up and cuddle you randomly just to notice and pull back.

His favorite cuddling position is when he can lay his head in your lap and you're petting his hair. I have a headcanon he doesn't do much with his hair and doesn't like braids much but that doesn't stop him from LOVING his hair being played with and messed with. it makes him feel safe.

Nori

Kind of handsy, won't lie, but in a gentle way and only after you and him are fully together. His hands on your hips, hands holding your legs close to him in bed, etc. He's very much a "pulls you as close as possible even when you're already as close as you're gonna get" kind of guy.

"Nori, Nori, you're suffocating me, Nori-"

Will also cuddle you anywhere. He has been known to just pull you onto his lap, even If you're taller than him. Likes to pull you into his lap and, if you're the right height, rest his chin on your shoulder with his arms wrapped around your waist and his hands on your thighs.

Oh, a negative thing though, he steals the blankets. BUT only if he can't steal you. He'll choose you over the blanket for a cuddle sesh or at night but if you for whatever reason don't cuddle with him, expect to find yourself without blankets.

Ori

Slightly awkward at first but also very gentle and clingy. Doesn't like asking for the type of things he wants in any regard, let alone cuddling, and lets you take the lead. It takes you looking him in the eye and telling him to tell you what he wants to admit he wants to be held.

Though, after a while, he'd eventually just. ASK. Because as soon as he's comfortable with someone his anxiousness subsides to show his brave spirit.

He loves to sit up in bed with your head on his legs as he draws or writes. He likes to read to you as you lay down together. Cuddling with Ori is kind of like hugging a teddy bear.

Dori

Dori is a very gentlemanly dwarf so cuddling with him is always putting your feelings above his (which is something you two can work on). He's very willing to give you exactly what you want at any given moment.

A lot of "is this okay?"'s and "Are you cold?"'s. Uses your well-being as a big excuse a lot of the time because he cares about you a lot. If he's questioned on why you were in his bed roll the night before he'll tell everyone that it was cold! You were scared! You shouldn't have to be alone in this dangerous world, he had to protect you!

A very big mother-hen, and not only to his brothers, so it's very easy for him to come up with "excuses" to cuddle with you.

But really he just wants to.

Oin

Sometimes it can be hard to hear the things you say to him so when you're nice and close in bed it's one of the best times. He loves to hear you talk in his ear so he loves when you lay on your side with your face near his.

He loves to read your lips in this position, hearing you speaking and reading your lips helps him be able to understand you more outside of bed as well.

Your arm would be thrown over his side and his would be gently running up and down yours. Your legs would intertwine a lot.

He's not that cuddly anywhere other than in bed, usually, he prefers his space, but if he ever thinks you're under the weather he is THERE. or if he sees you're down for any reason he's also there, holding you, because in his own words he's a healer! and healers are meant to help in any way possible, and it's proven that physical affection can help.

Gloin is a bear hugger. He will squeeze the living daylights out of you and laugh while he does it. Cuddling with him is like if you were cuddling with a living bear.

He's kind of possessive but less in a "you belong to me" way and more of a "I get to have you?" way. He's always burying his face in your hair, shoulders, neck, wherever he can just to get closer to you.

He's a guilty pleasure little spoon and it RARELY happens but when it does he says it's to humor you.

He'll cuddle with you at night around the company but he's not that much of a hands-on affection type of person. He'd rather show how much he loves you with acts of service or words than hold you.

Bifur

Bifur!! Bifur would be very much a secret cuddler. He wouldn't do it often, I think he might even get a bit overwhelmed with being held, but he'd love to sometimes be able to hold you and show you how important you are to him.

Especially if you can't speak Khuzdul, he'd feel the need to show you physical affection as a love language to show you how much he cares. If you see him with the axe still in his head, he'd be a bit... hesitant to hold you. He wouldn't want to accidentally hurt you with it.

I think he worries about not being able to give you what he "should be able to" so he often shows you love in cuddles whenever he can.

Bombur

BOMBUR IS A HUMAN (dwarf) PILLOW. He gives the best hugs 100% and loves to cuddle. He loves when you lay at his side and lay your head on his chest or stomach. He also loves to just cuddle into you like a cat.

If Ori is a teddy bear, and Gloin is a real bear, Bombur is one of those big teddy bears that you have no clue how to actually cuddle but instead, he has the pro of being able to cuddle YOU so there's less of a hassle!! Loves to just have lazy days where all you do is lay and cuddle.

Will 100% cuddle with you around the company but if anyone mocks or jokes about it he'll stop. (don't worry, he'll only stop for a little bit before picking it back up again. not even his kin can make him stop cuddling you.)

Cuddling by the campfire usually consists of you laying against his side and falling asleep but he doesn't mind.

Bofur

Bofur is such a cuddler oh my gosh !! He'd cuddle you constantly. He's a lot like Kili, wanting physical touch with you all the time but specifically his cuddles are so gentle.

He's had a rough life, and through it, he keeps a smile. When his smile finally falls, your cuddles are the only things that can get him happy again.

He likes to sing to you while you cuddle and his favorite position is your head on his chest, but he's open to other ones !! He's open to being a little spoon and enjoys it but I think a part of him prefers being able to hold you, which is why your head on his chest is his favorite because it feels like a mix of holding you and you holding him.

Dwalin

Dwalin doesn't seem much like a cuddler, and I think he'd definitely not do it in public, but he'd hold you at night. He's a personal space type of person so it's not all the time but he does! He'll pull you close to his chest and bury his face in your hair.

His cuddles are kinda clunky and rough, and he's always worried about hurting you, and he's a bit too strong for his own good so sometimes he squeezes too tight. Though, despite all that, if he's tired enough he'll just grab you and hold you without thinking. Sometimes those are the best nights where he lets you gently run your hands up and down his arms and lets you kiss him gently.

Those nights, when he's so tired that he's just dragging his feet and all he wants it to be with you are some of the best nights. Sometimes, and I mean very rarely, he'll let his head rest on your chest.

Balin

Balin is a cuddler but not a big one. Loves to hold you but isn't really clingy or enthusiastic like Kili, and overall just finds peace in it. If he's able to hold you it means you're alive and, to him, that's the greatest gift of all.

He's a calmer soul so a lot of the cuddles are just laying in bed with a few of your limbs intertwined and just relaxing after a long day.

He doesn't really like positions like little spoon big spoon or anything, he prefers to have his own space in bed which is why the points of contact are limited to arms and legs most of the time, but if you or he has a day he's willing to cuddle more closely.

Thorin

Thorin is a great big teddy bear underneath all the grumpiness. Very gentle, he treats you like that meme that says "gently holds". He's like a living furnace and shares his body heat happily.

He loves to sleep as close to you as possible, and he's a secret little spoon. He enjoys being the big spoon and probably won't ask to be the little spoon, but he will be one in a heartbeat. He loves to be in your arms or have you in his.

Technically this isn't cuddling but Thorin will wrap his coat around you and put his arm around your shoulders to keep it in place for you. Likes to pull you into his side/chest and wrap his coat around you while hugging you, too. Will 100% suffocate you without meaning to in his need to be close.

Bilbo

He keeps to himself, and because of that he rarely ever cuddles in public. Feels a little awkward if anyone can see him cuddling with you.

Due to his height sometimes he finds it hard to be the big spoon so he often ends up being the little spoon, which you won't find him complaining. He's very gentle when it comes to cuddles and is another one to put your needs first, though if he doesn't like something he WILL make sure someone hears about it.

"Your arm is in my side. Move. Y/N, Move."

"It's too hot." *he does not get up to move*

He may sound like a complainer but most of the time his complaints are small things that he chooses to ignore anyway, and you'll make him smile if you tease him about it. If your arm is in his side weirdly and he complains, you can just... laugh. and not move. and he'll shake his head with a smile.

kíli: foreigner’s god

he loves outside of his race and this fact causes undue scorn to be thrown at his feet. it’s unheard of for almost any dwarf, let alone one from the line of durin, to do such a thing. this does not deter him - it empowers him; if his heart could go against the traditions forged into his bones, molten in his hot blood, how could it not be true? the strength of his love is what helps him ignore the doubts shouted by the prejudice plaguing those who know nothing of his heart. that, and the sound of your laughter at his antics, the soft smiles only given to him when he’s being a little too charming… he could go on.

bilbo: like real people do

as much flack as bilbo gets from the company for not being conventionally tough, he’s not weak by any means. he’s familiar with the pain of loss, and how the ways one tries to rise above the grief that follows aren’t always savory. he knows there’s a respect to be found in the absence of prying questions, choosing simply to coexist in the feelings and allow answers to come in their own sweet time. he’ll put some tea on to cook and scrounge up some leftovers from the previous meal, sitting beside you and letting the comfort flow naturally, his soft lips soothing the most tender aches.

dwalin: work song

just looking at him, you wouldn’t think dwalin a sap. but with his insanely strong sense of loyalty and stalwart dedication, he can’t be anything but. he’s faced down innumerable evils in his time, braved the fiercest of storms that many of his comrades didn’t; none of them even come close to keeping him from you. your arms welcome him home without question after each fight he braves, and your letters tucked into secret compartments in his armor keep him warm between embraces. he’ll read them by the fire every night when he’s away, every gentle word carrying his mind away from thoughts of the day’s turmoil.

thorin: sedated

this sweet, sad man doesn’t think he deserves good things in life. this, unfortunately, includes having someone love him despite his flaws and past mistakes. he couldn’t resist admitting his feelings for you and was ridiculously shocked that you reciprocated & allowed him to love you. on nights when he feels his failures deeper, he’ll try to convince you that he doesn’t deserve you. vitriol will escape from worried lips and terrified heart, piercing you in the way only a lover knows how. a soft kiss, gentle words, and a few strokes through his hair will soothe these wounds from him for a time and allow him some of the peace he’s fought to find, but doesn’t always believe is earned.

nori: it will come back

it was decades since the last time nori thought of love, even longer since he believed himself worthy of it. meeting you only solidified his disbelief; how could someone look at him and see someone that deserved such a pure thing, after everything he’s done in his life? he’s stolen, lied, cheated, and killed to survive (and sometimes not for mere survival). his attempts to spurn you away from him only increased your determination to break through the fortress he built around himself. he could only be strong against your advances for so long before he crumbled, reluctantly accepting the love and peace and safety you offered so freely.

bofur: nobody

bofur’s done a lot in his time. he was born in the blue mountains, a colony that never seemed to find the prosperity needed to do more than simply survive. he is a brother, uncle, cousin, friend, toymaker, miner, member of the great company that reclaimed erebor. but through all his adventures and hardships, he never lost his playful streak. he wants to have fun with who he loves, wants a little bit of mischief to make his laugh louder and brighter. bofur is a fun-loving soul who, despite his wandering past, will always choose you over anywhere that you’re not.

ori: francesca

ori’s life has never been a peaceful one. being raised by dori and being followed by the whispers of his late amad’s reputation (not to mention nori’s) without a mountain to call home, it weighed on his shoulders. even his craft, the pride of every dwarrow worth their beard, happened to be one seen as miniscule in importance compared to smithing. every moment spent with his one, doing anything or nothing at all, eases the burden he carries and makes every moment of strife worth it just to be with the soul made to mirror his.

fíli: i, carrion (icarian)

your love for him seems almost too good to be true, the remnants of stories told in dusty tomes written by those with far more eloquence than he can claim to possess. that being said, he is definitely not one to look a gift boar in the mouth. he relishes in each tender moment, every second spent in your presence that carries him far beyond the constraints life has placed upon him. but he recognizes that life isn’t always so simple, retreating into your arms and wishing that everything around you both just disappears. there’s always reality, waiting patiently outside of your chambers for one faulty misstep to throw you both askew. that’s why he dedicates himself to showing you that if life does what it does best and deals harsh blows, he will be there for you through it all.

dori: shrike

dori never had time for love; he had two brothers to protect, one more wily than the other was young. his focus was on getting his brothers through the days, putting food on their plates and the semi-frequently used stash of bail money well-stocked. he allowed his feelings for his one to fall to the wayside in the name of preservation. he ignored their call for decades and braved out the pain that came with such a silence. he begged for his one’s forgiveness every time they called for him. but once the mountain was reclaimed and his brothers safe, he yearned for what he could have had. he would approach his one with much regret and sorrow for the time lost, but a pure hope that they could find forgiveness in their heart for him.

tauriel: unknown/nth

to earn her love is a feat unlike that which the world has known for a long time. being seen as worth all these mortal struggles and painful toils in the eyes of an elf, let alone one as fierce as tauriel, is quite the achievement to anyone outside looking in. to the red-haired warrior in question, though, giving her love to you has the same unthinking ease as breathing; it’s beyond instinct to do and just as necessary to her survival. you’re worth every century spent alone, every moment after knowing you spent away from you.

What would the company of Thorin Oakenshield enjoy about the Modern World?

One of my WIP transports the company to our world shortly before they're supposed to reach Rivendell, and into the apartment of my OFC.

So here is a list of things I think each character would enjoy about the Modern World:

Thorin: Google Maps, Siri (will totally argue with her like she's real), Shows like The Crown, Game of Thrones, but also Bridgerton, Democracy (yes you read that correctly), Rock music

Fili: Birth Control (can finally fuck around without risking the royal lineage), Superhero Movies (has an huuuhe crush on Black Widow), Tinder, Martial Arts, Feminism, Henley shirts to show of his muscles, bars & clubs

Kili : TikTok (LOVES cat videos, Top Content Creator about Archery, 'deep thoughts'/rambling, 'prank my uncle/brother with me', does EVERY challenge, accidental thirsttraps & flustered by the comments), Parkour, Man Buns & (Hipster-) Fashion, LGBTQ+ - Community , karaoke bars, team sports, the zoo

Bofur: modern music (especially pop songs with dirty lyrics), Tumblr (is no. 1 shit-poster), music festivals, arts&crafts blogs, Christopher's Streets Day

Bifur: Google Translate, Modern Medicine, Pain Medication, ASL, RomComs (trust me), helps out in an animal shelter, country music

Bombur: Cooking Shows (has his own Online Show), Kindergarten (he had so many children, the reprieve would be SO appreciated), international foodstuff to try

Dwalin: Guns, MMF, store-bought cookies, sport shows (AGRESSIVE fan for whatever team he randomly picks), Barbecues

Balin: Twitter (the political possibilities!!!), mental healthcare (he's sending the whole line of Durin he had no time for their shit), Spa Days, public schools, classical music

Oin: Modern Medicine (Duh), hearing aids, physiotherapy

Gloin: bitcoins, the stock market, Facebook (posts daily about Gimli)

Dori: hair tutorials, fashion shows, tracking devices (has totally microchipped a drunk Nori at some point)

Nori: hacking, movies with the lovable rogue as the MC (Pirates of the Carribbean, Deadpool etc.), spy movies (duh), the mafia (yes, he becomes a boss within weeks)

Ori: Wikipedia, public libraries, tutorials for EVERYTHING (knitting, cutting your own hair, how to talk to royalty, fancy war cries, you name it), fantasy novels, public schools

Bilbo: Food blogs, the "ignore call"-button, Instagram, university (will mayor in at least three subjects), museums

Gandalf: the Internet as a whole, email/ instant messaging, yard sales, modern weed, museums (has a knack for finding cursed items), adventure movies (after watching Indiana Jones he seriously debated obtaining a whip)

There were many things in your relationship with Noir that were different from those in your past. Your communication, your intimacy, your general connection. He is dissimilar to anyone you’ve ever found to be even remotely interesting; college crushes and cutesy pop singers that once made you swoon now only make you laugh. Noir is so much more.

Oftentimes when you woke up, it wasn’t from the gentle kisses or skin-to-skin contact of your lover. You’ve never felt Noir’s bare lips or skin, never experienced him in that way. You could feel his warmth, sure, he felt like a furnace next to you most nights. But that raw physical touch was something you might never get with him. Unfortunately, you were also woken up quite often by him. Sometimes Nior’s body would twitch while he was asleep, likely from his traumas and overwhelming energy. Because of his inhuman strength, this was often the cause of your waking. Before him, you never woke up throughout the night.

When you ate meals, it wasn’t together. Noir didn’t take off his suit or even his mask; to him, it’s his skin. He feels comfortable in it, safe. And you don’t blame him. But the unspoken connection of sharing a meal with a loved one is lost because of this. So, he’d sit with you at the table, watching while you ate and occasionally chatted with him through your phone. It would be quiet, and at first, awkward.

Watching TV wasn’t the same, either. You couldn’t have those long, vocal conversations that you loved so much, talking about the plot and the main characters. You wouldn’t share those big belly laughs about your favorite parts of the movie or show, and in the moment, you wouldn’t get to hear his opinion on what you watched.

Getting ready for bed was also a challenge most nights - he couldn’t do that with you, either. While you changed into your comfy clothes, washed your face and brushed your teeth, Noir waited for you to be done so he could go in and do the same. Past partners would oftentimes do this with you, getting ready for bed right alongside you. Again, he didn’t show you his skin, his suit was his natural outer layer, something that was really connected to him. And honestly, you were lucky he even took his armor off around you, you knew that. Still, it was a shame in your mind.

It was these moments that you found yourself missing the most, the mundane, domestic, small spaces in time that were otherwise insignificant. But these moments weren’t just that, they were memories, times you can look back on and attribute to your strong bond. But you didn’t have memories with Noir, at least, not like that. In your head, the memories you have with Noir are better than ones you have of the past.

When you woke up in his bed, or with him in your bed, it was from the soft brush of Noir’s breath hitting the back of your neck. He held you close, the breeze of his soft snores washing over your skin even through his mask. It was the soft rub of those gloved fingers over your shoulder, the firm and secure hug he kept you wrapped in anytime you were next to him, squeezing you even tighter than the last time he held you. No one has ever held you with such firm care before.

While you didn’t actually eat meals at the same time, Noir always cooked for you. He was a surprisingly skilled chef, and truly enjoyed cooking as a small hobby. He made you a variety of foods for each meal of the day, and while you sat and ate, you’d message him your thoughts. You could tell just by the way he sighed or moved his hands or tilted his head that your opinions meant so much to him, they made him happy. He’d smile to himself, feeling completely content knowing he finally has someone in his life that cares about the things he likes.

Noir also had fantastic taste when it came to films. You’d alternate on your date nights, one of you would pick the movie, the other would pick the snacks. He felt comfortable eating around you if you weren’t looking at him; with your head laying on his lap, snuggling up beside him, it was the perfect opportunity for him to completely let go and relax. Sometimes, when it was his turn to pick, he’d choose one of your favorite movies instead of his; he really loved seeing you laugh and smile. And it’s not like the movies he liked didn’t do that for you, they were just usually more action-packed or thrilled themed. You liked those, too. Your favorite nickname for Noir also happened to come up during a movie, a cute mistake occurring over the phone.

He didn’t have to look over to know that you were already changing his name in your phone from Noir🖤 to Nori🖤.

And when you got ready for bed at night, he’d occasionally stay by your side. He’d hug you from behind, put his chin on your shoulder while looking at your reflection in the mirror. It would make you smile, feeling his appreciative gaze and loving hold. Sometimes he’d sway with you, gently side to side, while you continued to ready yourself for bed. He’d hum occasionally, snuggling into the curve of your neck. He always felt so strong and sturdy behind you, against you, above and underneath you. It never ceases to amaze you just how much taller he is than you; it makes you feel safe, protected from everything bad in the world.

There were so many things you missed about your previous relationships. You never really missed your ex-partners, you just wish you could do more with Noir. But what he lacks in normalcy, he truly makes up with genuine affection and love. Noir’s love language didn’t involve speech, but it involved just about everything else. Quality time, gift giving, acts of service and of course, physical touch.

Aside from work, Noir’s time was spent with you. Either at his home or yours, he was by your side every second that he could. You were so precious to him, someone he truly thought of as his. He’d bring you small tokens of appreciation, muffins and breakfast drinks in the morning, your favorite takeout at night, occasionally he’d even buy you a pair of shoes you’d been eyeing. After movie nights, he took it upon himself to clean up. He’d fold your blankets, clean the dishes you used, and throw away any trash you’d collectively created. Noir was also sweet to you after you’d have sex, wiping you off and rubbing your back, caressing your skin and sometimes even brining you water or a snack. And of course, his cuddles. Since your first night in bed together, he pressed his body against you, the soft rise and fall of his chest comforting you into a contented slumber. Whether it was holding you on his lap, laying his palm on your thigh, rubbing your back, or leaning on you, Noir always found a way to touch you.

It’s these memories that you love the absolute most.

My Murder Drones Episode 8 predictions:

-It’s gonna be an hour long (ok kinda a stretch, but I’m expecting it to be longer than average)

-Uzi builds Nori a new body that is loaded with weapons (or is just turns her into a sentient railgun) either during the episode or in the epilogue

-Nuzi finally kisses

-Khan and Nori will reunite

-just weird Doorman family moments

-N’s personality shifting into more serious and angsty (already saw this in ep.7 when he killed tessa) during Uzi’s absence, still being like that when Uzi comes back but only reverting back to cinnamon roll when talking to uzi

-Doorman family teaming up and killing stuff, bonus: they’re arguing while fighting things but it turns out they’re a perfectly synchronized team when fighting stuff together

-there’s gonna be an epilogue at the end, and then the credits and we’re gonna get end credits scenes with animated blooper cuts to celebrate the possible series finale (I mean even for a season finale that would be cool)

-Uzi and Nori being in space for like a week straight

-Uzi making recordings documenting it because she’s bored

-Uzi finds Nori in space and they argue for a bit in the beginning but then it turns into this emotional confrontation (they hug)

-Nori reveals that N was the one who killed her after they get back to copper-9

-Nuzi takes a break because of this

-N feels really bad and Uzi feels betrayed but later she understands that it wasn’t his choice and she apologizes

-in the aftermath of defeating Cyn it’s just kinda this silent moment in memory of everyone who died (knowing Glitch’s writing it will only be serious and emotional for a second then someone will make a joke about it)

-During the aforementioned week that Uzi is in space, N thinks she’s dead and finally snaps and gets actually angry (it’s gonna be scary and people are gonna be shook)

Safe Travels ~ The Hobbit

What if Bilbo Baggins wasn't a Batchelor? What if his wife had been claimed by a deadly disease?

In this idea, Bilbo has a wife and a daughter. Only his wife is claimed by something known as the black lung disease. It slowly rots the lungs until the host can no longer breath. It took his wife after having given birth. It destroyed his heart but he endured for his baby girl, his little Bella.

Only, the disease is back. The only hope Bella has is to see Elrond. But no one is available to make the trip. So when Gandlaf appears with a solution to his problem Bilbo grasps onto it with am iron grip.

Now Bilbo has signed his life to a seemingly death quest to have a band of 13 dwarfs help him get to Rivendell and save his daughter.

Thorin and the company were not expecting this change. However they would not deny the father his request. Safe passage for him and his daughter to Rivendell in exchange for being their burglar.

Simple enough.

If the wee little lass hadn't wormed her way into all their hearts.

From her cuddling the fearsome Bifur and Dwalin. To playing with Fili, Kili and Ori. She filled an empty spot for Gloin and Bombur while accepting the fussy Dori. Even Oin adored the little lass who sat still when her disease reared its ugly head. Dwarves are immune to the disease as they are made of tougher stuff so they handle the wee lass more often than not to keep Bilbo from catching the disease.

This should be an interesting trip.

Thorin's Company When You Call Everyone Pet Names

Part 2 of the request by @fly-on-my-sweet-angel for The Hobbit this time 😘 once again doing everyone hehe 😈

Balin

Balin remains tacit about your habit, chuckling it off as not much serious when you do it to him and his brother and his cousin and…well, everybody. It’s obviously not unique to him in any which way, though hearing you call him ‘honey’ does have quite the ring to it. Not one for pet names himself, he wracks his brain to come up with some way to mirror your affection, finally settling upon making a point to use your name often, smiling softly as he speaks it.

Dwalin

He gives you a bit of a frown as you ask him “Can you pass the water, sweetheart?” “Sweetheart? Never call me that again.” Leaning forward, you give him a sugary smile. “Alright, then. What about honey? Love?” Dwalin’s frown remains. “Do you think I’ve lived this long and gotten these scars to get ‘love’d by a-” “Alright, my apologies,” you put your hands up in mock-defense, “o fine warrior.” At that last name, a flush crept across Dwalin’s cheeks, widening your smile rapidly. You’d remember that one for later.

Thorin

Are you imagining things or does Thorin frown when you call one of the others your little names? Experimentally, you try it again intently the next time you require some assistance. “Dwalin, honey, would you mind putting another log on the fire?” Sure enough, Thorin’s ease seems to falter; your eyes briefly widen, but you catch yourself in time for one more experiment. “And Thorin, darling, didn’t you want some tea?” The king speaks not, but he nods, a small smile returning to his face.

Oin

Step one is checking his hearing, trumpet engaged and pointed right at you. “Pardon?” Smiling, you repeated yourself. “I just asked if I could have a cup of tea, love.” Oin can’t stop the shock from crossing his face, his lips falling into an ‘o’ shape as he looks back up at you. “O-of course! Take whatever you like! Did you want something else in it?” You giggle, probably at how flustered he gets, and shake your head before inclining it in thanks at his offering.

Gloin

Gloin definitely asks you to repeat yourself the first time he catches you calling him dear. Double down and that’s when trouble begins. “Listen to this one,” he teases you, “oh Dori darling, get the tea on.” “Only if Bombur dear lets me use the pot for it,” Dori joins in with a chuckle. “Sure thing!” Bombur just agrees, jolly as always. Rolling your eyes, you just give him a playful shove. “You know you love me.” Gloin scoffs, but his typically gruff expression melts into a smile. “Maybe.”

Bifur

Sometimes it was hard to read everyone’s expressions; the dwarves in Thorin’s company ranged from highly, almost comically expressive to deadpan faces that puzzled you to try to read. Thus when one came about, you leaned over and rested a hand on the dwarf’s shoulder. “Bifur, sweetheart, are you doing alright?” The often quiet dwarf’s eyes widened at your touch, his head swiveling to fix you with a direct look. Glancing down at his bowl, then back at you, he nodded vigorously, an eager smile across his face. Bofur and Bombur burst out laughing at the two words their cousin spoke. At your look, Bofur explained that he had replied “Yes, darling”!

Bofur

Your habits seemed to have earned you a name of your own, you noticed. One of the dwarves had picked up your ways or else resigned to pay them forward. Not that you minded- in fact, a word like those that had always been mindless for you suddenly sped your heartbeat like nothing else. “Where are you going, sunshine?” Bofur asked you, catching you stepping away from camp. “Just heading to the stream for some water, hun,” you replied, face warming. “Alright,” he acquiesced with a smile, “don’t be off too long, alright?” “I won’t.”

Bombur

You were just the sweetest thing, so caring, so parental. Bombur requested your help dishing up every single night just to hear you as you handed bowls off. "Here you go, Balin dearest. Oh, you want more, honey? Darling, let everyone else have a shot first, Gloin’s not gotten any!" Bombur's heart fluttered at it every time, and it practically exploded when your addresses turned to him. "Bombur, love, need any more help?" "A-actually...the princes haven't brought their dishes, do you mind-" "Not at all." You gave him the brightest smile he'd ever seen before turning and calling toward the tree line. "Fili! Kili!" How, Bombur couldn't help wondering, had no one snatched you up yet?

Dori

Dori is the only dwarf brave, stupid, or affectionate enough, likely the latter, to mirror your habit. The two of you, in fact, have gotten into something of a back-and-forth about it all. “Don’t you think you ought to eat something, dear?” Dori asked you, holding out a slice of bread and some meat. “I had some broth earlier, love, so I’m well, thanks.” “You’ve got to keep up your strength, though, darling, just have a little something.” Eyes bouncing between you two, Ori and Nori shook their heads. “They’re like an old married couple.”

Nori

“Nori dearest, put that down, please.” Smirking, Nori tilted his head, his face inches from yours. “And why should I, darling?” "Because I said so,” you replied. “What, no more little names?” Nori shot back in mock hurt. “Not if you’re going to make fun of me,” you teased, “only people who are nice to me get them.” At that, the usually cocky, jolly dwarf’s cheeky look fell a bit, prompting surprise to cross your own face. “You thought I was makin’ fun of you? And here I was hoping you were serious.”

Ori

“Ori, honey, that’s excellent!” The company’s youngest had opened his sketchbook, revealing his latest drawing of a doe that had passed camp in the morning’s wee hours. As always, it was amazingly rendered and just an absolute delight- the lad truly had a gift. Said lad also had quite the red ears all of a sudden. "Thanks," he replied, trailing your name quietly like a little afterthought he'd never admit to almost forgetting, "thought this was one of my nicer ones, the little bugger passed by so nice, and well... I'd like you to have it. Well, if you please of course..." "He's tryin' to tell you he's sweet on you!" Nori bellowed. "Mahal's sake! Yer breakin' his heart always callin' everyone your sweet names!" At the elder brother's admission, you gape. "Is that true?" "Yes," Ori replies, puffing out his chest despite his red cheeks, "that's right."

Fili

“Gloin, dear, you’re going to hurt yourself if you run like that! At least lower your axe just a bit.” Fili smiles as you chastise the older dwarf like a mother hen. Much more endearing than Dori doing it to his brothers or Thorin getting on his and Kili’s case. In fact, he absolutely loves how caring you are to them all, the way you are so unafraid to show your love. Those are qualities he sees value in for a future leader…huh. Should he tell you that someday soon? Might make for a fun reaction to give it right back to you.

Kili

“Kili, love, what on earth are you doing?” “Well, darling, I’ve just been practicing a new move for if I drop my sword. See here.” A smug smile creeps onto your face at how easily he plays along with your little habit. “And what about you, Fili dear?” At that, though, Kili takes pause, steps back into your line of sight looking a bit stunned. “Now wait just a minute. I thought that was our thing. Don’t tell me you fancy him, too?” “I-” Now it’s your turn to pause. Certainly it was just an affectionate habit of yours, but also… you hadn’t really considered reciprocation. Your face warmed at the realization. “Of course I don’t. Consider yourself my only sweetheart.”

Bilbo

He wanted to snap at someone, but what right had he really? It was irrational, plain and simple, to try and tell any of the dwarves to stop doing things that made you call them all the sweet names you did. Bilbo was never the sort who gave pet names any stock, but with you they were like music to his ears. He needed to remind himself day after day, though, that it was simply your habit. Surely the fact that the dwarves were usually ‘honey’ and he was usually ‘sweetness’ just meant they were different…right?
