The reaction to the Barbie Movie amongst conservatives really deserves to be the final nail in the coffin of that stupid "Feminists and LGBTQ people just want to be pandered to nowadays" argument that comes up whenever an LGBTQ character or vaguely feminist woman dares to exist in a mainstream film.

Thirty-to-forty year old straight white republican men walked into the fucking Barbie Movie and are sincerely pissed off that it wasn't made with them in mind as the target audience.

You've supported when lesbians chose lesbophobia as their term, supported when trans women chose transmisogyny as their term, but can't see how men or masculine people can be oppressed, in their specific intersectional ways? Then that is transandrophobic.

Yes, some trans mascs have had to deal with misogyny, but cis men also have had to deal with misogyny. No one is exempt from that, not even the manliest cis man on the planet.

But if people are allowed to use words to describe their specific oppression, why can't trans mascs? It's a special kind of cruelty to erase their voices.
