heres some random info about my life as well as some of my favorite things

i am a libra sun, aquarius moon, capricorn rising

i like dark chocolate more than any other; i have since i first got my period. i like gummy candy and starbursts but my favorite are the little cola bottle candies. i like tea and coffee sweet, but flavorful. i like energy drinks and slushees and wanted my first tattoo to be a cola-mtn dew slushee but it wasnt. i like waffles more than pancakes but would prefer a toaster strudel or muffin. i like apples and lemons and cinnamon and garlic and truffle and black cherries but not maraschino. i dont like onions or cilantro or swiss cheese. i dont like chili because something about the consistency of wet, tomato-ee hamburger makes me ill. i also can't drink hard liquor.

i like smells like thick cologne that lingers and juniper and spearmint and old houses and honeysuckle and the smells of the earth when it stops raining in the summer. i like the smell of other peoples laundry soap and coffee more than my own. i like eucalyptus and aloe and teakwood and dragons blood incense.

i like classic rock from my dad and 80s pop ballads from my mom and afi and lincoln park from my older sibling and 4*TOWN for my younger sibling. one of my earliest loves in music was Paramore, and hayley is an inspiration of mine. i like pop punk and the band ive seen the most is sleeping with sirens, 4 times now. i like hip hop and rnb and acapella and piano. i like music that makes me feel alive. anything from violin to screaming, i just like passion. i'm a very passionate person and always have been despite myself.

i sing and like singing in the car, while i shower, and cook. i am very loud but sometimes can do cool things. i like how singing makes me happy and helps me relate to other people and also my predecessors. i like how i feel connected to those before me through my voice. my first time singing in public was my 4th grade talent show. I sang The Only Exception by Paramore because my parents thought Almost Lover was too dramatic and adult for a 12 year old

i like old movies and i used to fall asleep to them at my grandparents and wake up to them at weekends at my dads apartment. i like musicals like ride the cyclone and drama like the fault in our stars and action like john wick and will always be down for a horror movie. i like get out and candyman and hereditary and black swan and blair witch and creep. i like the twilight zone and rod serling has a special place in my heart. i also like alex trebek from jeopardy, matthew grey gubler, penn badgely, andrew scott, evan peters, and my biggest current celeb crush is matt rife.

i like being alone in busy places. i like to talk to people but i also like to disappear to the other room during the party. im the girl you find sitting outside sometimes smoking, or on the balcony. i enjoy walking back into a concert midsong and seeing all the happy little people being happy. i like stepping away from chaos to appreciate it. i like driving on highways at night when its empty and im high. i like watching airplanes land. i like sleep and i sleep in a tank top and underwear but never socks. my dreams always take me back to this very similiar place every single night doing different tasks with different people. i might start calling it the twilight zone. i like to paint my emotions in my makeup and artwork. i have always felt very deeply and openly.

i like the moon and the stars and it is so fascinating to learn about the same beautiful big rock my ancestors saw. i feel drawn to white butterflies and birds and bumblebees and skinks ( they r tiny lizards). i like history and culture, but im really bad at math.

*Fairy Tale*

You twirled around the forest, singing to yourself as you picked berries, animals dancing around with you. You felt so at peace as you walked, the sun on your skin, fresh air filling your lungs. Your aunts had sent you out to collect berries for your birthday cake, which you knew was just a distraction to get you out of the cottage, since you collected berries the day before. 

You still sang to yourself, sitting by a river, enjoying the sun on your skin. You never minded your alone time. It brought you peace in your heart. You had just finished telling the animals around you about yet another dream you had about a certain prince, coming and sweeping you off your feet and stealing your heart. 

As you sang, you began to notice something. There was another voice. Illogically, you looked at each of the animals around you as you sang, trying to see which one was singing with you. Upon seeing none of them singing with you, you slowly stopped singing. The other voice continued, causing you to stand. You weren’t alone in the forest. 

“Hello?” You called, causing the singing to stop. “Who’s there? I’m armed!” You said, picking up a stick. Slowly a boy around your age stepped out from behind a tree, both hands in the air. 

“I mean no harm.” He said with a grin on his face. You still held the stick, ready to swing if he were to attack. 

“Who are you?” You asked, trying to sound brave. He chuckled, letting his arms fall. 

“I could ask you the same question.” He said, but then shrugged. “Of course, we have met before.” 

“We… We have?” You asked, and he nodded.

“Don’t you remember?” He asked, and you shake your head. You had never seen this boy before in your entire life. “Really? Well, I must not be as effective as I thought.” 

“What are you talking about? You must be thinking of someone else.” You said, still holding the stick, but a little looser now. 

“No, I’m positive it was you. I can’t believe you don’t remember.” He said, leaning on the tree. 

“Remember what?” 

“When we danced upon a dream.”

*Today*

“Y/N, your new patient is in room 13.” The receptionist said, handing you a clipboard. You smiled at her as you scanned through the sheet, trying to learn the information about your newest patient. You walked down the hall, nodding at coworkers before getting to room 13 and walking in. 

“Well, well…” You said, looking at the person unconscious in the bed. He didn’t seem to have any scratches on his arms or face, in fact from the outside, he looked perfectly healthy. “What happened to you buddy?” You looked over the sheet again. 

He was apparently brought in by someone that morning, saying he was out for a run by the lake when he found him. He was washed up on the shore, but there wasn’t a boat in sight. Probably someone out fishing during last night’s storm who couldn’t make it back in time. His vitals all looked good, and the emergency doctors couldn’t find any internal damage. There was absolutely no signs that anything even happened to this guy. 

“So…” You muttered, turning back to him, eyes still shut and motionless, but still breathing. “Why are you asleep…?” 

The doctor walked in, asking for a briefing. You gave as much as you could, which admittedly wasn’t really anything, and then they left, leaving you to get some new updates. You sighed, going to take his pulse. You focused your attention on his wrist, counting with the beats, not noticing the eyes opening behind you. 

“Where am I?” You jumped, letting out a yelp. You looked behind you and saw the patient lying in the bed, this time looking at you. 

“You’re awake?” You said, though that was obvious. 

“Who are you?” He asked, looking at you with concern. 

“I’m Y/N. I’m your nurse. Do you know who you are?” He blinked at you a few times, trying to sit up. 

“I… I think… I… Where am I?” 

“You’re in the hospital. You were brought in this morning after being found unconscious. Do you know your name?” 

“Jeonghan. My name is Jeonghan. I don’t recognize any of this…” He looked around the room, starting to panic. It appeared things were slowly coming back to him.

“Okay, you need to relax. You must have some short term memory loss. I’ll get the doctor to come examine you.” 

“Wait a minute.” He grabbed your wrist as you started to walk away, causing you to turn back to him. 

“What? Does something hurt?” You asked, looking at him, but he just stared at you wide eyed. “What’s wrong?”

“I remember you.”

“Aunties! The most amazing thing has just happened!” You grinned, skipping into the cottage, stopping at seeing the large cake and new dress in the kitchen. “What’s this?” 

“Surprise!” All three of your aunts yelled, popping up from around the room, wrapping you in a hug. 

“Happy birthday Miss Y/N!” They squealed, releasing you from the hug. 

“Thank you very much.” You smiled, hugging them each individually. You looked over at the dress, thinking it was far too nice for you to wear. “What’s this for? I have no reason to wear a dress that nice.” You chuckled, looking at them all. 

“Y/N, you’re now old enough for us to tell you the truth.” You looked at them, confused. 

“The truth?” You said, sitting in the seat one of your aunts gestured to. 

“Yes… The truth about who you are.” 

You sat stunned as they explained the whole story to you. From the curse placed on you as a child to your parents giving you to three fairies to raise you. That the curse would be lifted after this birthday, you simply had to make it until midnight tonight. Then the curse would be lifted and you would be able to live the rest of your life as the princess you were supposed to be. 

And the part of being engaged to a prince of a neighboring kingdom, who you were supposed to meet tonight. 

Your aunts, or the fairies, looked at you in concern as they told their story. They expected you to be thrilled by this news. You were a princess after all! But for some reason, you looked… sad at this news. You looked over at the door, thinking about the plans you made for the boy in the forest to come tonight for cake and to meet your aunts. 

“Y/N, are you alright? I understand this is a lot of information, but it is your fate…” One of your aunts said, putting a hand on your shoulder. 

“No, I understand, I just… I was supposed to…” You started, your heart deflating. 

“You should go pack up, deary. We need to be on the road to get you back to the castle soon. We will have some cake on the way back, okay?” She smiled, nudging you to your room. You knew they all wanted to discuss your reaction, but of course not in front of you. 

You sat on your bed, sighing. Your entire life had been a lie, and now you had to go marry this prince. You weren’t even sure if you were going to marry the boy you met in the forest, but your heart still felt sad at the fact that it would never happen. 

*Today*

“You… You what?” You said, looking at Jeonghan in confusion. 

“I remember you!” He said, excitedly trying to get up but being stopped by wires. He looked at them in confusion, then back at you. “Y/N, what are all these?” He tugged at one, wincing in pain. 

“Those are IV’s! Don’t pull them!” You said, adjusting the tubes again. 

“IV’s?” He asked, and you nodded your head. “Weird…” 

“What do you mean you remember me?” You asked, looking at him. This time when he looked up at you, he had mild panic on his face. 

“Wait… You don’t… You don’t remember me?” 

You looked at him for a couple seconds, shaking your head. 

“What? No, that’s impossible…” He leaned back, eyes going left and right as he thought. “No, there can’t be another curse...” 

“Please stay calm. Freaking out won’t do anything to help you. I’m going to go get your doctor and he’s going to-”

“But you have to remember me! I’m your husband!” He said, and you raised an eyebrow. 

“My husband?” You said skeptically. 

“Yes!” He nodded, holding his left hand up to you. “See?” You stared at the naked hand, giving him a look. He looked at his hand, realizing his ring wasn’t on his finger anymore. “My ring… Where’s my ring?” He started to panic again, so you started towards the door. 

“Doctor!” You called down the hall, taking one last glance before running down the hallway. “Doctor! He woke up! Come quickly!” You saw him come out of his office. 

“He’s awake?” You nodded as he started walking towards you. 

“Yes, I think he has some kind of head trauma. He thinks… He thinks he knows me.” You purposefully left out the married part, slightly embarrassed. He walked ahead of you, walking into the room, stopping by the bed. You followed after, stopping in your tracks as you saw Jeonghan. 

He was unconscious again. 

“Sir, I swear he was awake.” You said, hoping you didn’t sound crazy. 

“I believe you. It might have been a temporary thing. Keep an eye on him, alright? His vitals all still look good…” He said, looking at a couple things and checking him out. Soon he left, leaving you alone with the patient again. 

“Who are you…” 

*Fairy Tale*

“Call the gods, I’m in love!” Jeonghan yelled as he walked into the hall, a grin covering his face. He saw Chan and Seungcheol sitting in chairs off to the side, heads turning towards Jeonghan as he strolled in. 

“Oh boy.” Seungcheol said, shaking his head and getting up to greet his friend. “I thought we were supposed to go to visit Soonyoung today? He had a new idea for a policy he wanted us to go over?” He called, Chan following his lead. 

“Sorry guys. But when love calls, love calls!” Jeonghan smiled, meeting his friends half way. 

“Woah, woah, woah. What’s this about love?” Chan asked, raising an eyebrow. Jeonghan put an arm around Chan’s shoulders, letting out a sigh. 

“I’m talking about me. I have had my heart stolen by a girl in the forest.” Both his friends raised eyebrows now. 

“A forest girl?” Seungcheol asked, causing Jeonghan to nod. 

“That sounds lovely Han, but aren’t you kind of… Oh, I don’t know, engaged to the princess of your neighboring kingdom?” Chan looked at him, mildly confused. Jeonghan shrugged. 

“It’s not super official.” 

“Wasn’t it announced when you two were like, born?” Seungcheol chuckled, humored by his friends pure joy right now. 

“Look, no one has seen this princess since then. For all we know, she has no interest in marrying me either!” 

“We all know this doesn’t work by interest.” Chan said, and Jeonghan looked at him, for the first time his smile starting to fall. 

“You think my father will say no?” He asked, and Seungcheol shrugged. 

“It’s possible. He’s wanted to combine your kingdoms since you were born. He’s probably not going to just let this go…” Jeonghan’s smile fully fell now, realizing Seungcheol might be right. 

“Well, I will just have to convince him that I’m a prince who can make his own choices.” 

“You mean like we’ve been trying to do our whole lives?” 

“It worked for Mingyu.”

“Mingyu’s father’s a lot more lenient than yours is. And if I recall Mingyu almost had to have an arranged marriage.” Seungcheol countered, Jeonghan groaning. 

“Oh just go home and see your wife.” Jeonghan said, releasing Chan. Seungcheol looked like he was about to argue, but then a smile came to his face. 

“Gladly. C’mon Chan. We’ll feed you tonight.” He nodded his head towards the door. “Jeonghan has some convincing to do.” He winked, leading the other boy out the front door. 

*Today*

“Officer?” You asked, walking into the lobby. The dark haired boy looked up at you, confused to see you. 

“Y/N?” Seungcheol walked up to you, giving you a small hug. “What are you doing here? I thought you usually didn’t work this day?” You shrugged. 

“They called me this morning. Someone brought in some unconscious guy so-”

“Oh yeah, how is he?” You looked at him, confused. 

“You know something about him?” You asked, hopeful for some answers. To your disappointment, Seungcheol shook his head. 

“Not really. I just brought him in this morning after finding him.” 

“You’re the one that found him?” You asked, to which Seungcheol nodded. “Wow, what a small world.” 

“So how is he?” Seungcheol asked, and you shrugged. 

“Not much change. He did wake up for a little bit, and I think he might have some head damage, because he wasn’t really making sense.” You looked at him. “Did you just come to check on him?” 

“Kind of… I don’t know, but something told me I should? Like… I don’t really know why. I just had this… urge to come here.” 

“If you want, you could come say hello. Maybe he’ll wake up again.” Seungcheol quickly shook his head.

“No, no. That’s alright. He’s not going to know who I am anyway. Hopefully he’s okay soon.” Seungcheol turned to leave, stopping when his eyes caught something down the hall. “Hey… What’s down there?” You looked down the hall, spotting a series of rooms. 

“Oh, those are our coma patients. Most of the people down there have been asleep as long as I can remember.” You said, not thinking much of it. Seungcheol was still looking down the hall. “Look, why don’t you go home. It’s been kind of a weird day for you. I’ll call you if I get any updates, okay?” 

Seungcheol looked back to you and nodded his head, patting your shoulder. You turned to walk back down the hall, completely missing as Seungcheol walked right down the hall instead of out the door. 

*Fairy Tale*

Jeonghan followed the fairies, trying hard not to think about how much his lungs were breathing or how much his body hurt. He had just slain a dragon. He never thought that day would actually come, but here he was. The three fairies he followed swore that the princess he was engaged to marry was the same girl he met in the forest, and for reasons he couldn’t entirely figure out, he believed them. He stopped at a window, shocked at what he saw. The entire kingdom was asleep. Another charm done by the fairies to protect the kingdom until they could wake up the princess. 

“Your Highness!” One of the fairies squeaked, bringing Jeonghan’s attention back. “We’re almost there.” She said, and he nodded, catching his breath as he continued to follow the fairies up stairs and through the halls. 

Finally he was face to face with a grand door. He breathed heavily staring at it. This was it. This was the moment that could change his life forever. This could lead to his fate. 

“Come on, quickly!” One of the fairies squeaked, slipping through a crack in the door. The other two followed, leaving Jeonghan alone in the hallway. He took a deep breath, put a hand on the handle, and pushed the door open. 

The room was dark as he walked in, he walked slowly as his eyes adjusted. He tried to find the fairies, hoping that would continue to lead him in the right direction. Eventually his eyes found a little blue fluttering light, and as he walked towards it he saw a red one too. Finally he saw the green one, which fluttered over a bed with a lamp next to it. His eyes went to the bed, and there you were.

He couldn’t believe his eyes. It was actually the girl from the forest. The one who managed to steal his heart in a single afternoon. And now she was here in a fancy dress, lying perfectly still. If he hadn’t known about the curse, he would have assumed she was just sleeping peacefully. 

“How do I wake her?” He asked, almost in a whisper, as if he was scared that his own voice would somehow ruin everything they worked for. 

“True Love’s Kiss.” One of the fairies squeaked, and Jeonghan looked back to you. For the first time in this whole rescue plan, he had doubt. 

“What if… What if I’m not… I might not be…” He stuttered, one of the fairies landing on his shoulder. 

“We won’t know until you try.” She said, and Jeonghan looked at her, slightly nodding his head. The fairy fled his shoulder as he took a step towards you, sitting lightly on the bed next to you. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes, and leaning forward to place a light kiss on your forehead. As he pulled back, he still remained close to your face, silently watching you. 

If might have only been a couple seconds, but it felt like an eternity to everyone in the room for you to open your eyes. 

Jeonghan felt his heart stop as the eyes he fell in love with looked back up at him. The curse had been broken. 

“It’s you.” You smiled, looking up at the boy from the forest. 

“You can call me Jeonghan if you’d like.” He grinned, helping you sit up. You looked around the room, spotting the fairies flying above, cheering. 

“Hello Jeonghan, I’m Y/N. What happened? Where am I?” You looked around the room again, a little spooked by how dark it was. 

“I’ll explain as we get you out of here. I think you’ve spent enough time separated from your family.” He smiled, standing up and holding out a hand to help you stand up. “Oh, one question.” 

“Yes?” You asked as Jeonghan leaned close to you, almost having your foreheads touched. 

“Did we dance in your dream this time?” 

*Today*

“He hasn’t woken up since?” Another nurse asked, causing you to pick your head up. You shook your head and they let out a sigh. 

“Not once.” You said, and they came to put a hand on your shoulder. 

“Why don’t you go home? You’ve spent a lot of time in here today, plus your shift is over.” You sighed, looking up at them. 

“I know… I just… I can’t explain it. There’s something inside me that feels like I need to be here…” They looked from you to Jeonghan, letting out a sigh. 

“Why don’t you go get something to eat? I’ll stay with him while you’re gone.” They offered. You were about to deny the offer, but then your stomach growled. 

“Okay… Thank you. I’ll be quick.” You smiled and got up, leaving the room as they took your seat. 

Your mind was reeling as you ate dinner. You knew you were being crazy. There was no way you actually knew they guy. He just managed to get in your head. That’s all. You had never seen him before this morning. 

But it was weird to you because Seungcheol felt the same urge to check on him? Granted, Seungcheol was the one who found him, and you were the one who had been taking care of him all day, so that could be it. Yeah, that had to be it. 

You took your last bite of food, pushing the tray away. You were determined to go back to his room and telling the other nurse that you were going to go home. You owed nothing to this guy. He was just some crazy guy who got knocked unconscious. That’s all. 

You felt a warm breeze brush past you, causing you to look around. You were just thinking it must be some summer air as you slumped forward onto the table, passing out. 

You felt your eyes opening, panicking that this was happening again. You couldn’t have been cursed again. Not again. This kind of thing was only supposed to happen once in a princesses lifetime. As you opened your eyes, your head stung with pain, having landed on your fork. You looked around, seeing other people confused. You were trying to piece together where you were, and why you were wearing these clothes, as you saw pairs of people reuniting and hugging each other. 

“Jeonghan?” You called, looking around. If you were here, he had to be here too. Of course, the last thing you remember was sitting in the gardens of your castle, Jeonghan about to leave to go visit a neighboring kingdom. You got up, starting to walk down the hallway. 

“Jeonghan!” You called again, hoping he could hear you. You jumped as someone jumped out of a room on the other end of the hall, wearing the same outfit you were. You recognized him as one of the guards from your castle. 

“Your Highness! Down here!” He waved, your heart rate picked up and you ran down the hall, concerned by the look on his face. Wherever you were, it didn’t seem like a place you wanted to find your loved ones. You turned the corner of the room, heart stopping. 

“No…” You said, looking at the guard. You looked back at the bed, seeing Jeonghan unconscious. “No… No, this can’t be right. What happened?” You asked, going to sit next to him. 

“I’m not sure. I woke up on that chair and he has yet to wake up.” He said, as you took Jeonghan’s hand in yours. 

“Jeonghan, you need to wake up.” You said, feeling tears in your eyes. “Please. I don’t know where we are or what’s happening but I’m scared. I need you to wake up.” You pressed your forehead to his, taking a deep breath. You shook your head, placing a light kiss on his forehead. As you pulled back to wipe the tears from your eyes, you missed the moment of Jeonghan opening his eyes, hesitantly watching you. 

“Y/N…” Your head turned, stopping when your eyes met Jeonghan’s. The same eyes that captured your heart all that time ago. 

“Jeonghan, you’re okay!” You smiled, putting your hands on either side of his face. “Oh thank god, you’re okay.” 

“...You remember?” He asked, and you gave him a confused look. 

“Remember? Of course I remember, why wouldn’t I?” 

“Then who am I to you?” He asked, sitting up. You continued to look at him confused, not sure where he was going with this. 

“You’re… Jeonghan?” He continued to look at you, waiting for you to continue. “You’re my prince and my husband? We met in the forest and danced upon dreams-” You were cut off as Jeonghan wrapped both his arms around you, pulling you close to him. 

“You remember…” He said, still leaving you confused. He pulled back and examined your face. “What happened to your head?” He asked, lightly touching the marks on your forehead. 

“I think I passed out on a fork…” You said, looking to your side. “Jeonghan, where are we?” 

“I’m not sure… But it seems like we’re not the only ones.” He sighed, leaning close to you. “We might want to get out of here.” You nodded, helping him out of the bed and leaving the room, holding onto his arm. 

“I knew you’d find me. Just like I found you.” He smiled, looking at you. 

“I guess we’re even now.” You laughed as he pulled your hand to place a kiss on it. He stopped walking, suddenly listening. 

“Wait… I think I hear Seungcheol.” He said, pulling you down the hall.

Can you describe someone you love?

He’s tall. He’s so dumb sometimes. Very very handsome. He makes my heart beat so hard that i feel like i’ll throw up if i stay around him. Even if I'm just thinking about him or have something of his, i feel absolutely crazy about him. I can't tell anyone who it is, but i want the whole freaking world to know how much i love this person because of how amazing he is. He wears his heart on his sleeve and gives up so much to make others comfortable and happy. He matches his clothes well haha and when he smiles, he makes me wanna stare forever. I could literally look at him all day. He asks me things that no one else cares about and he makes me feel so welcome. Even though I literally cannot be with him for so many reasons, he will always be the one that i will love more than anyone in the entire universe and i hate it but it is reassuring that I can love someone so much. He’ll never leave too. And the best thing about him is he gives the most amazing hugs. Long, amazing hugs. Middle of the night or 4 am, he always wants a hug from me. And no matter why or what happened, i will always want a hug from him. Because he just makes me feel everything. I love him so much that even if it's indescribable, i still try because it's worth it for him. Even if these words barely light the candles on the cake. 

What's the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?

I think my sister. We’re sisters, ya know, we hate each other one second, but the next, she is as amazing as she was before. I think she is the most beautiful because of how she deals with life. She always questions, she gets deep. She isn’t simple-minded at all, very talented in art. She is the smartest person I've ever known personally. And I love how free she is. In a sense where she doesn't want to be like everyone else. She deals with her own crap like everyone else but at the end of the day, she is still getting back up and laughing. And she is so weird too haha. She likes things like care bears and wants to move to a billion different places and do a billion different careers and marry an Australian man. Her goals and personality just crack me up.

Can you define love?

Love doesn't really have a definition in my opinion. If you really love someone, you’re left speechless, you don't have the words to define what you feel because of how overpowering it is.

Can you define hate?

Hate is a major pain that is..like it feels like someone put a blanket on your heart and took swings at it until whatever or whoever you hate walked away. It's a pain that makes you feel more angry at one thing than anything else i guess.

What's your biggest regret?

I have plenty but I guess the one that sums them all up would be ever lying. Lying is what gave me more regrets. If not lying then maybe falling in love. No one really thinks i have ever been in love but i was in love with someone and they were in love with a made up version of me pretty much. I miss them everyday and i lost them bc i lied. So yeah, goes with lying but i hate that i ever fell in love with them whether it was real them or just a lie too.

Kindest act?

When i was in 3rd or 4th grade, I had a bunch of money saved up, close to $200 from birthday money and other holiday money. I spent some. I didn't know what to do with the rest, so I gave it to my school counselor to give to the leukemia charity that they were funding for the month. When they announced on the announcement that i was the biggest donator, they got my name wrong and called me Kayle instead, but I didn't care because I knew I did something good. It was $97.

Wildest dream?

I’ve had some crazy ones so it's hard to choose or remember all of one.

Biggest fear?

I used to think it was being murdered or kidnapped or maybe even spiders. Now i know that it's of being hurt. I've been hurt by lots of people before and ive cried so many times alone but didn't wanna tell anyone and pushed it down. It ended up making me do some things that i shouldn't have because I didn't wanna think about being hurt and i feel like if i have to keep pushing things down, ill continue to be afraid to speak out and be sad for a long time again.

Best and worst quality?

That's kinda hard because i have a lot of both. I guess I'll just pick at random though because i can't chose. I have a quality that can be good and bad at the same time. It's that I'm forgiving, i don't know when to give up on people. It's good because I can give people chances which makes a good friendship bc i dont just drop them. But it's bad because sometimes i give the wrong people too many chances and get hurt over and over. But when i try to figure out when to let go and give up, i do it at the wrong time and make more issues. So it's complicated.

When have you felt the most alive?

If I'm choosing a whole time period, up until 4rd grade. A moment in the times I remember, when I dropped someone holding me back. I say up until 4rd grade because all times before then, I didn't care what people thought. I was never hurt like i have been since. I was a happy kid who played with littlest pet shop and had a billion besties. And i say when i dropped someone holding me back i mean that i was hung up on someone I thought loved me unconditionally and I loved them so much. He ended up not caring about me anymore which was understandable. But later on when I finally told him to go away because all he did was make me hurt, I stopped talking to him, and I was so so so SO free.

What's the best advice you’ve been given? 

You have to love people for who they are. My mom told me this. I don't like judging people or making people hurt or uncomfortable. But sometimes people have qualities that I just can't stand but they are some of my closest friends. So when my mom told me this, I felt like if i can't love them past these qualities, maybe i need to realize whether or not i love them really, because I can't change them to fit my needs or wants.

What's been your biggest obstacle?

Trying to get passed drama whether it was created by me for myself or drama with everyone. I made mistakes, I'm human, but it's been tough trying to learn from them. Now, I'm starting to see where I went wrong and moving past it to grow. 

Most embarrassing story?

I have a lot and I physically can't make myself type any bc they're so bad.

Your perfect life partner?

Someone who doesn't care when I'm being a bum. Someone who loves me and respects me. I'm not big on too much PDA. every once in a while, i'll kiss or hold someone's hand but usually, i feel embarrassed for whatever reason. So id like them to remember that and ask or hint first. I dunno.

What does beauty mean to you? 

Beauty means personality and looks to me. It doesn't mean hot or pretty. To me, beauty is how you describe someone that's indescribable.

Favorite memory?

Well i have a lot of memories that make me smile so much. But the one that I can think of off the top of my head is probably when I went up to Ohio where my cousins live around x-mas. The year before, my little cousin Silas passed away on New Years eve. We all went to this thing where they sang xmas music, had santa, and lit up some building. Me and all my cousins had our arms around each other and we were all singing together. It felt good that even though only a year before, we lost someone so young, we could all still smile and stay strong, together.

A moment that moved you?

I was at bob evans once with my mom and sister and a random old man paid for our meal and came to us saying he just wanted too. I never forgot that old man and that happened back when I was maybe 5 or 6 and i'm way now.

What would the title of your movie be?

hm...Self-inflicted because i self inflict too many issues for myself.

How have you changed?

I’ve learned so many lessons that I needed to learn.

What do you wish you said?

I wish i apologized about so much. I also wish I told my parents why I made so many mistakes. If i had done both of those things then I wouldn't have so many regrets because I would have had less drama and maybe some support or help.

Maybe some of the things that go through my head. I can be really rude or sound super depressed. I would change how I handle that in my head.

I think I may actually be too young to answer, but i'll tell you when i know.

What are you looking forward to next?

Moving away. I have so many bad relationships with friends and ive lived in the same place for my entire life. I feel like i live in a box and i need to experience other places. I want to grow in life but is hard when i'm in the same place everything has happened. So moving will help me grow a lot.

What are you most proud of?

My academic achievements. I still suck at math but I'm hoping that I can fix that and maybe I'll really have all honors classes. As of now, I have almost all honors, just missing math.

What do you miss most in life?

Feeling happy for more than a short period of time. I'm not as sad as i used to be. But back when i was always depressed, i was the definition of pushing it all away around my family. I never told my parents and still haven't told them how sad I really always felt, only the jist, because of school and life. And now, i have better things that make me happy but at the end of the day, I always feel worthless and drained.

How would you like to be treated?

I would like to be treated like i'm as equal as everyone else. My close friends know that I haven't been in a good place for a while, i went through family drama because of me for a while and i'm starting to finally fix my mistakes but it's tough because they all treat me like i can't be told about their problems since it might make me worse i guess. And I think that's also why they treat me like the ‘leader’. Out of pity. It's been that way my whole life. Even as a little kid. And i hate it. I just wanted to be treated like i'm a friend not like what i need matters more than anyone else's needs because i have ‘issues’.

What do you want to let go of?

Everything that's been put in the past. I know it's been put there for a reason. Everything happens for a reason. I want to let go of the mistakes I made in the past because I opened my eyes and saw that that's what they are, mistakes. And even if it happened yesterday, i wanna let go, because it's time to move on if it's not happening.

What does the world need?

A big slap of sense. So many are oblivious to the issues we cause to the world and what issues are just happening to the world. While some things are serious, there are bigger problems than what celebrity slept with someone last night. Things such as suicicide and global warming are real and everyones too busy worrying about chris hemsworth’s abs and so and so’s herpes. I'm guilty of it too, but more and more I realize that there's serious things happening and no one is doing much. 

What makes you happy?

There's a few things but for some reason, my cousins makes me unbelievably happy. When I'm around them, they're not my cousins. They are the best best friends I could ever ask for. I have never loved anyone more than I love all of them. When i hear i get to see them, I'm on it! I hope for the words ‘we’re going to ohio’ every second. I absolutely love them to death, even the ones who are slower than turtles. If they were my siblings, I would want to be home daily with all of them. I cant even explain how much my heart screams to be around all of them and i have no idea why. They're all so amazing. And so are their parents and grandparents and all of them. When my family is with them, i see how much fun they have and it makes me even happier because my parents don't hangout with too many friends or close family. But with them, they talk and laugh as much as I do and I love seeing them so happy.

Have you ever had your heart broken?

OH YEAH! By friends, crushes, family. I guess if I chose one from each category, friends would be when one of my closest friends told my whole school that i had leukemia and i was getting treated. So many kids asked if I was okay and I was all, ‘what?’ when I found out, I confronted her and she lied about it. And when i didn't accept her apology, I did say some uncalled for things, but she made me feel like she could just throw away friendships left and right and she didn't care what happened. But when she lost all her friends, she cared, and she put us all on a bully form because we decided we didn't need a friend who would do something like that. And it was hard watching it happen because we’d been friends our whole life. For crushes, when I was in 5th grade, I was finally in class again with a life long crush. But he played me a bunch of times and bullied me along with his friends. That stuck with me, everything they said and did, but i only cried about it alone because I didn't think it was that serious that they bullied me. Now i see it was. For family..i think when my little cousin silas passed, I realized how serious death was because I was in 6th grade at the time, I understood it all completely. It broke me big time because id met him once and he was a sweet kid. While it brought our entire family together because of his funeral, I bawled the whole time because i felt like i could've done more to interact with him even though I never had the actual chance really. 

The hardest question I've asked?

Thats hard to answer. I think when I had to ask myself if I thought being alive was worth it. I never thought i'd be the person to have to ask myself so when i did, it hit me hard and I had to take it seriously. 

What's beautiful about you?

I think it's that i always want change and am almost always willing to change. Yeah, i'm a person so sometimes I don't want to change anything. But to me, change is so good and the fact that I'm always growing because I'm constantly needing change is beautiful because it makes me mature rather than be naive forever.

How did you find out Santa isn't real?

Oh haha. My sister. We had an elf on the shelf and her and I touched it to test if it would move still. It did. So i question if Santa was real because the elf wasn't. And i would hear people moving all the time when i went to bed x-mas eve. Yeah, i took it easily. But in the back of my head, i was always kinda salty that my sister ruined the fantasy for me. But better now than never.

How do you get through hard times?

I cry. I don't like talking about problems, I feel embarrassed and alone when I have them. So I write and I cry. Which is probably one of the worst ways to deal with it all, but music also helps and I think plenty use music to get through things.

When did you realize you weren't like everyone else?

When i realized how sad i always was. And maybe when i saw how i wasnt a super skinny kid. I'm not fat. But i'm not a stick like all these girls. And i noticed that. But yeah, when i started to feel more and more sad as I got older. And I saw how not too many others were like that.

Worst decision?

Lying because it only made life worse.

1 strange fact about me?

I have a weird birthmark where my leg starts to lead up to my underwear line on the left side. I hate wearing swimsuits like underwear because of it. It's dumb.

I honestly don't know about that one.

What do you look for in a man?

I look for a deeper part of them. I look for things like the nerdy vibes. I like nerdy or depressed guys. I don't like depressed dudes because they're depressed but because they’re the ones with the deep, interesting thoughts. And nerdy because i think dorky guys are adorable. But either way, I like when they listen and their understanding and sweet. I like when they talk a lot, but not more than me. When they make dumb jokes and do more than play video games, i like that. And when they have fashion sense. And shower.

What are you scared to share with people?

Probably what my mistakes actually are.

Earliest memory?

I have a few that I remember being super young but i don't know which one was the first one but one that I like a lot is when I was really young my mom would throw my sister and i big birthday parties and I had a close friend named Gavin Bush. he and I were close because his sister Emma was besties with my sister. But i remember at my birthday party, we were eating rice krispies together and laughing. He had a huge crush on me for the longest time and I always feel bad that I didn't notice much. But i mean, laughing with him was one of my favorite things to do back then. 

Most painful thing you've ever been told?

That i lost all trust. I lied too much and my parents told me that i lost any trust they had in me. But i try everyday to build it back up.

Kindest thing you’ve been told?

That i keep people happy, even when I'm going throw something myself. My friends have told me that even when they're mad or upset, I still make them laugh and while it pisses them off, they love that about me.

What are you ashamed of?

My body. I love some things about it and hate others. I hate my thighs and stretch marks but i remember that someone out there could care less and only cares for my mind and i feel better.

Lied about my whole life pretty much. Or said someone said one thing when they said the opposite to protect their feelings.

BRIEF BULLET POINT BIO:

‘What a beautiful little girl you have,’ strangers would coo, easily mistaking the boy’s long dark eyelashes as a feminine feature. The compliment felt like a stab in the heart for a woman who had mothered two sons when she had spent the majority of her second pregnancy dreaming longingly for a daughter.

The minute he had said his first words, the Lestranges knew he would be nothing like their first child. Rabastan was demanding, his mother’s disinterest and father’s sternness only making him thirst more for their approval. He’d approach the world as if it were a stage and his friends and family was his audience. Every move calculated strategically as a plead for more attention, plots intertwined intricately to remove wishfully himself from his older brother’s seemingly overbearing shadow and earn his own moment in the spotlight. When that didn’t work, Rabastan turned towards misbehaving. Playing cruel tricks on Rodolphus which were reciprocated with pure disdain from the young teenager, saying inappropriate things when there were guests around and neglecting to follow any rules. There were no limits, so long as he knew it would obtain him the measliest bit of recognition.

As his troublesome ways manifested and endangered on becoming a larger problem, Rabastan was swiftly packed up and sent to a private school. One where the tuitions were sky high since there was the promise to straighten out unruly children and turn them into well-behaved future politicians and lawyers. The first couple of years, Rabastan was no stranger to disciplinary procedures. Hours upon hours spent in detention, letters sent home on numerous occasions and not to mention the extra load of homework he’d receive on the basis that he never seemed to be listening in class. Yes, within the three years of his enrolment, the youngest Lestrange was fast becoming one of the rare cases that the school couldn’t fix. Foreseeably a failure in the eyes of his teachers and his parents.

That was, of course, until they decided to place the boy in front of a piano. Fingers gliding effortlessly across ivory keys and filling the room with delicate twinkling accents. What was meant to be another amercement spun into Rabastan’s saving grace, the first time he’d receive acknowledgement for the right reasons and actually feel some contentment in what he was doing. When he’d returned home that year for the summer, his piano lessons continued. Quickly followed by learning the guitar, the violin and even the saxophone. Essentially, it was considered to be a miracle, at long last, they’d found the one thing that installed some calm into Rabastan’s relentless frenzy of a personality.

Throughout the years, Rabastan’s creativity and musical talent only appeared to flourish. Carefully written lyrics sang in perfect pitch over another one of his original guitar riffs, an angelic voice filtering through the house and reverberating a gentle symphony in the bleak hallways. But when the time came, the answer was a clean cut ‘no’ to his proposal of studying anywhere else other than the Slytherin school of Social Business. Despite his talents, his father would have sooner fallen into an early grave than see one of his son’s graduating with anything that wasn’t a business degree.  

The confinements the course held over his time to express artistic freedom entirely reignited Rabastan’s dormant compulsion to rebel. Skipping one too many classes and spending more time drinking than he ever did in the library. When it came to graduating, the life of the party and class clown unsurprisingly had barely scraped the mark. Proudly taking the place at the bottom of his class and leaving the school entirely unqualified to fulfil a role in the family business.

Rabastan had won. One last swipe of his father’s credit card was enough to book a couple of days in a recording studio and the rest, as they say, was history. Songs that he’d masterfully been pouring all of his efforts into during his studies turned to meticulously crafted pieces of art. With a pretty face and sleek style, it wasn’t long before a record label picked him up and churned him into a full-fledged rockstar. Fame and notoriety came second nature. Orchestrating publicity stunts with his PR team and spreading his own rumours were all part of the game in establishing his very own empire. It was as if Rabastan was created for this fast set lifestyle, stepping on other people’s toes so he could climb the social ladder right to the very top.

Rabastan Lestrange had become a household name. Securing a number one in the UK charts for three consecutive months and selling out venues shortly after the release of his debut album. His quick-witted opinions and outrageous interviews going viral across social media, gaining him the admiration of many and resentment of others. It wasn’t long after that, that his family name would call on his like a curse to act dutifully to another cause.

Owning one of the major organisations that formed the frameworks of the Sacred 28 meant that the Lestrange family were no strangers to the acts of Death Eaters. Regularly, it had been part of the dining room chatter that Rabastan was effectively escorted away from, untrusted with the secrets that Rodolphus’ silver tongue was so often wrapped around. That was until they’d seen an opportunity in the younger Lestrange’s childish arrogance and increasing influence he held over the public. Rabastan’s lust for trouble and manipulative discourse fit suitably within the skill sets of a Death Eater. They would use him as a middle man, putting his sweet talk and skilled bribery to good use and when that failed, he’d follow precise orders and discard of the target.

If it weren’t for Rodolphus’s involvement, Rabastan would have never of handed his loyalty to the organisation as easily as he had. Though the Dark Lord may be the ringleader, for Rabastan this went further than ranks. It was about blood. He’d never been that ideal, pristine version of the man his parents anticipated that he’d be. Dismissing controversies to the press with blatant arrogance and refusing to comment on anything associated with Lestrange Industries and the warfare it supported. This was a chance to prove himself, to his bloodline, he was one of them.

INTERVIEW:

i. How do you feel about your current occupation?

“Adoring fans that scream your name, music royalties, fancy events, groupies,” Rabastan lists off one by on his fingers before scoffing, “no, you’re right, I should really go beg my darling big brother for a space in the family business, I’d be a really sexy secretary for a businessman- I mean, picture me in a pencil skirt.” Rabastan puckers his lips at the thought, using his hand to fan himself down, “my apologies, I’m getting all hot and bothered just thinking about it.”

ii. What song would you say describes yourself?

Running a hand below his chin, he’s selecting his next words carefully. “Hmm, now who do I hand out this chunk of free promotion to if not myself… No, really, I say I like something and the sales skyrocket the next day, I guess it’s my charm.” Reclined in his chair Rabastan springs back up once the perfect song comes to mind, “Have you ever heard of The Cheeky Girls?” his own laughter surrounds him in a pitch almost as harmonic as his singing, “In all seriousness, Club Tropicana by Wham! really just radiates my personality.”

iii. Does reputation matter to you?

“My reputation? Who do you think I am, Taylor Swift?” he questions tauntingly. “It’s been said that I’m like marmite, you love me or you hate me. Either way makes no difference to me. This is where my manager comes swanning in to warn me to play nicely with my dearest interviewer, but you know why my fans love me? It’s because I’m genuine, I’m not going to feed them all this bullshit as other singers do- that reminds me! Buy my new EP, available now on iTunes.” he punctuates with a charming wink, though his tone was sarcastic his intent is entirely serious.

“Mummy and Daddy wanted a little girl so badly, then when I turned out to be a right old diva they still weren’t impressed” He can’t fight the look of pure delight that rules his expression, even as a boy his parents distaste in his demeanour had been hugely entertaining. “Truth is I like being the black sheep of the family, it’s satisfying work for me. That and I make our dinner parties a lot more enjoyable, I inject a healthy bit of personality into the dining room conversations and stop people from falling asleep in their soup bowls, you know?… for example, bear versus shark, who would win? Obviously, it’s the bear.”

v. What languages can you speak?

“Most days I can hardly even speak English,” he declares humorously, “I speak enough French to get by thanks to private schooling. You know the basics… Voulez-vous coucher avec moi,” he’d definitely learned that from Lady Marmalade, not his expensive education.

vi. If your home was on fire and you could only save one item, what would you choose?

“The drugs- Kidding!” he’s aware that he’s yet to answer one question sincerely. “For all my beautiful fans out there, please know that I would NEVER participate in the massive consumption of cocaine, but I didn’t say anything about ecstasy.” Rabastan pauses long enough to make them feel uncomfortable, visibly revelling in the awkward silence. “Don’t get your knickers in a twist, I’m joking, again. I don’t know what I’d save, I could easily replace anything. So maybe my wallet.”

vii. Which Hogwarts University faculty did you study at? The Gryffindor School of Applied Science, the Ravenclaw School of Humanities, the Slytherin School of Social Science, or the Hufflepuff School of Art?

His lips are pressed together in contemplation, finally a question that couldn’t be glossed over with humour or shocking statements. “The Slytherin School of Social Science,” as he answers, he gags to dramatise his disdain. “I wanted so badly to study Literature under the Ravenclaw School of Humanities, but daddy dearest was refusing to financially support me if I didn’t follow in the family’s footsteps. ‘No son of mine is walking around reading Bridget Jones’ Diary’” Whilst imitating his father’s hoarse voice, his expression changes to an unnatural dark grimace and wags his finger in the air. “-Great book, by the way. So that’s the story of how I became a Business graduate and the bottom of the class.” A nostalgic sigh pronounces itself from his lungs as he stares dreamily into the distance, “oh the glory days.”

“@RabastanLestrangeMusic, that’s the one I’m meant to plug anyway, or my publicist will have me by the throat- little does she know, I’d enjoy that,” he glances over his shoulder to see if his manager is watching before looking back to them with a delighted grin, “I do have this lesser known Instagram account, @Rab_a_stan, it’s got a couple of thousand followers, I started it last week and I put really weird unfiltered shit on there- wait can I swear during this interview? I never asked, fuck.”
