World On Fire
Obi-Wan Kenobi x Skywalker!Reader
Synopsis: Trying to stop your baby brother before it was too late resulted in a very worried Obi-Wan and an even angrier Anakin.
Tumblr media
"Anakin please" you cried out, tears streaming down your face as you took in the yellow eyes of your younger brother. Part of you wondered what you should have done differently, how could you have stopped this?
"Join me, Y/n. The power of the dark side flows through you. I can feel it"
You shook your head at him, lips trembling as you fought the urge to caress your growing stomach for comfort. You weren't sure how he'd react if he found out you were pregnant, but you didn't want to find out. Not here. Not now.
"Anaki-" your words cut off as pressure was applied to your neck, causing you to gasp for air as he choked you with nothing but the dark force surrounding him. "If you won't join me, sister, then I will have to kill you. You know too much about me"
You shook your head, hands scratching at your neck as you fought off the assault. The red atmosphere was started to grow fuzzy and the fear of dying coursed through you. Tears streamed faster down your face, was this the end for you?
Dark spots filled your vision and before you could once more try and mutter out his name, you dropped to the floor.
But you weren't dead, not yet. Anakin wanted to kill you a different way. He ignited his lightsaber as Obi-Wans ship began to descend into the fiery land. He wanted to wait for his dear Master to come out. So that Obi-Wan can see the death of the only person he dared love.
You.
The bridge lowered. Obi-Wan flew out of it and towards you in worry. He ignored Anakin and instead knelt beside you. Reaching out, he closed his eyes and gently rested his hand on your stomach. A sigh of relief flew from his lips when he felt both your force and the child's. It took Anakin a second, but once he connected the dots his rage grew tenfold.
"You dare preach to me that love is not the way of the Jedi... Yet go and have a child with my sister?" His anger was suffocating, even for the older man who had somehow grown accustomed to the darker side of people. He hated this, part of him wanted to try and save Anakin, and the other part wanted to protect you. The vow he took meant he always had to obey the first one.
But he didn't care anymore.
He stood swiftly, blocking your body from Anakin's as he too ignited his lightsaber. "I won't allow you to hurt her, Anakin" Obi-Wan whispered, his heart clenching at the thought of losing both you and Anakin. But he most definitely could not lose you.
Anakins smile grew sinister.
"Then I guess you'll just have to try and stop me... Master. Because she will die and it will be all your fault"

Prompt - ‘Do something, babe, say something. Lose something, babe, risk something. Choose something babe, I got nothing to believe, unless you're choosing me.’
Notes - I know I posted a House version of this yesterday but this song has such a hold on me so here's Obi-Wan's version.
Tumblr media
You had known Obi-Wan your whole life, had trained by his side since you were children and formed a friendship that had the older Jedi raising their eyebrows and whispering about attachments. You had been inseparable since you’d met, drawn to one another like it was the will of the Force and never once drifted apart from each other in all your years together.
It wasn’t until you were a few years older, well into your Padawan training, that you both began to see your friendship had transitioned into something more, something that had you feeling lighter than ever, something that had your chest feeling warm and your cheeks heating up.
You were in love with Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan who was always there when you needed him, Obi-Wan who was always ready to pull you into his arms and talk about everything and nothing for hours, Obi-Wan who never hesitated to stand up for you when you let people put you down. You were in love with the man who stood for everything good, who was so kind and patient, who never gave you anything but fond and happy memories.
You loved him and you didn’t know what to do. What was there to do when you dedicated your whole life to an Order that forbade attachments? You couldn’t fathom how the Order could think something as beautiful as the feelings you felt for Obi-Wan could possibly lead you down a Dark path.
Obi-Wan had known he was in love with you for a long time, from the moment his gaze started to linger on you for a little longer when you looked away, from the moment he realised he longed for your company when you were pulled apart by separate missions, from the moment he realised all he wanted to do when you smiled at him was to pull you in and taste your lips.
He hadn’t been able to stop himself from doing just that when he was finally able to steal a moment alone with you when you returned from a mission two weeks later than intended after peace talks had turned violent and you and your Master had gotten caught in the midst of it.
You hadn’t had more than a moment to register what was happening before you felt Obi-Wan’s lips on yours the second you walked into the room, freezing for a moment before sinking into the kiss, relaxing for the first time in weeks as your hands gripped Obi-Wan’s robes, both of you needing to assure yourselves you were safe.
From there everything evolved until you were sneaking around the Temple, keeping your relationship a secret, knowing you were breaking the rules and not caring if it meant you got to call Obi-Wan yours. It didn’t matter that you couldn’t tell anybody, it didn't matter that your relationship was built on stolen moments and secret meetings, you knew one day things would be different, you didn’t care about anything else.
The secret lasted well into knighthood and when Obi-Wan became a Master, having to train the young Skywalker boy it put a strain on your relationship. Suddenly it wasn’t just you and Obi-Wan sneaking around together, ignoring the whispers and the knowing glances from Qui-Gon as he left the quarters more and more frequently giving you and Obi-Wan plenty of time together. Suddenly in the space of one mission there was a Padawan and no time for stealing time together, now it was all about longing glances as the other was thrown more and more into their duties.
Eventually though it became easier to deal with, you and Obi-Wan were assigned missions together with Anakin coming along but as the years went on you made it work. You were sure the Padawan knew there was something going on between you and Obi-Wan, the cheeky grins and badly concealed winks he sent Obi-Wan’s way as he came up with excuses to leave the room for a while gave as much away,
You weren’t complaining, you loved any time you got to spend with Obi-Wan, you wished for more days that were spent laying side by side whether it be in a bed or a field littered with flowers but you knew that this was all he could offer you and all you could offer him right now.
So it went on like that, years passing by in secret as you loved each other quietly. You wanted it to be enough but there was a small part of you that was more and more persistent as the years passed, hopeful for something more.
You knew you’d leave the Order for the man, all he had to do was ask. You wanted him to ask more than anything, wanted him to steal you away in the middle of the night and put as much distance as possible between you and the rules of the Jedi Order. You wanted to build a life with him, one that didn’t need to be clouded by secrets and lies, one where you could kiss him whenever you wanted without always looking over your shoulder.
You wanted him to ask you.
He never did though and when the war started you pushed all those thoughts away. It wasn’t the time to leave, that’s what you told yourself anyway as you threw yourself into the war efforts, aching as you and Obi-Wan were separated yet again, only reunited when the Council ordered it.
There were a few times you got to spend longer together, days that were spent on Coruscant, still surrounded by the war but easier to ignore as you made your way to Obi-Wan’s quarters after a long day of consulting with the Council.
“I’d say that was a rather successful meeting, wouldn’t you? If what we have planned works we’ll have Akippee in no time.” Obi-Wan grinned at you as he moved around the quarters, seemingly unable to try and leave the war outside of these walls, to savour the little bit of time you were able to have together.
You just hummed at him and let your fingers trail along the back of the sofa as you looked around the room, the room that had once brought you peace, had felt more like home than any place had before, the soft orange hues lighting the room but now it felt different, it felt empty.
Obi-Wan continued to talk, hardly noticing the fact it was a one sided conversation as your mind went into overdrive. You weren’t sure how he couldn’t see something was wrong, how could he glance over at you and smile, how could he chuckle and speak and not notice you were miles away questioning everything?
Eventually Obi-Wan led you into the bedroom, stating that you must both be exhausted from such a long day and it wasn’t long until the lights went out. Obi-Wan fell asleep easily, not pulling you close to his chest like he would have years back and you ignored the way another bit of your heart withered at the loss.
The sound of Obi-Wan breathing evenly and shuffling every so often used to comfort you, it used to lull you into a peaceful sleep and leave you well rested. Now it set your nerves on edge, it made you feel like you were alone even though you could reach out and touch him, though the space between you felt infinitely bigger than it was.
As he slept you stayed awake, sat up staring into the darkness of the room, letting your thoughts run wild, letting yourself wonder what was happening, letting yourself wonder if it was time to face the reality of what had become of you and him.
You loved Obi-Wan, the man was all you had ever known and you didn’t want to know anything else. You loved him more dearly than anything in the whole galaxy and yet here you were with him, feeling lonelier than you had ever felt in your life.
All you wanted was a life with Obi-Wan, you wanted a proper, real life with Obi-Wan. One far away from the rules and regulations of the Jedi, one where attachments weren’t something to be feared, one where you could kiss him freely and without judgement, you wanted to give him every part of your life, you wanted to be his wife, you wanted to give him a family.
You wanted to give him everything.
You had tried to deny it for so long, tried to convince yourself you didn’t actually need that. You didn’t need to be Obi-Wan’s bride, you didn’t need to start a family with him and live your life openly to prove you loved him.
But it was never about proving anything, it was just something you wanted so badly and Obi-Wan had never given any indication he wanted anything more than you had. He seemed so content with what you had, never going forward, just staying where you were.
There were too many problems with your relationship, sure the war could be blame for leaving you without seeing each other for months on end but you truly believed if the war hadn’t happened this would still have been the outcome, maybe it would have bought you a few more months maybe even years but it was always going to end up here.
There were too many problems and Obi-Wan didn’t see them, either he refused to see them or he was really so blinded to them. When you finally reunited it was like there was no time apart for him, like everything was still the same. Your heart was breaking and he was fine where you were.
It was falling apart, you could see it breaking down before your eyes and yet Obi-Wan couldn’t. You wanted to scream at him, beg and plead for him to do something, to show it meant something to him, to show you meant something to him. You wanted him to take a risk, to leave the Order with you, to show that he would choose you. But he never did.
That night you slept fitfully, feeling even more drained than you had been the night before, only able to glare at Obi-Wan in the morning with a storm of emotions in your eyes as he went about getting ready for the day whilst keeping up a steady stream of conversation. He looked at you with a smile on his face and you wanted to scream some more, wanted to shake him and beg him to look at you, to see that you were dying, to see that he was losing you.
All you wanted was for him to see you, to see the mess that was your relationship and fight to save it, to do something to show he loved you. You wanted to believe your relationship could survive but your heartbeat felt like it was fading with every day that passed, it felt like you were going to die before Obi-Wan realised something was wrong.
“I can’t do this anymore.” You interrupted him, looking as shocked as he did at the outburst, not fully registering the words leaving your mouth or the decision to save yourself before your heart really did stop.
“Is everything ok?” Obi-Wan asked, his eyebrows knitting together as he put down his caf and turned to you, seemingly giving you all his attention but still not seeing you, not seeing how worn down you were.
“No.” You finally forced yourself to say after a few moments of silence passed where you could only stare at him, debating if you wanted to do this. “Obi-Wan, this isn’t working, we’re not working.”
“I don’t understand.” Obi-Wan told you softly, his hand coming up to scratch at his beard as he tried to figure out what was happening and why you were suddenly so unhappy with your relationship.
“I know you don’t.” You told him, voice shaky as you fought back tears. “I know you don’t, Obi-Wan and that’s the problem. You don’t understand despite all the signals I’ve given, you don’t understand even though it’s so clear to see.”
“What’s clear to see?” He asked you and the genuine confusion coming from him hurt your heart even more.
“Would you leave the Order for me?” You asked, never wanting to ask the question, not when you knew what the answer would be but it was the only thing you could think to ask to get him to understand something about how far your relationship had fallen.
Obi-Wan was silent for a moment too long, a moment that he actually seemed to recognise lasted for too long if the regretful look on his face meant anything. You let out a chuckle that sounded more like a sob and nodded, you’d already known the answer, if he was going to say yes he would have already left.
“I never wanted to lose you but you, you won’t do something, you won’t risk something to fight for us. You won’t even choose me, Obi-Wan. I can’t do this anymore, I’m tired, I’m so tired of being lonely.” You cried, a few tears slipping down your cheeks as you slid your robe on.
“Where are you going?” He asked quietly and you nearly sobbed, even now, even when you were walking out of the door he wouldn’t fight for you.
“To talk to Master Yoda, I can’t stay Obi-Wan, I can’t.” You told him and opened the door, waiting a moment for him to say something, to do something but he didn’t. He stayed silent and let you walk out of his quarters.
You barely held yourself together, hearing the door shut behind you and forced your feet to move until you got to an empty room. Only then did you let yourself fall apart, sobs wracking your body as you finally let everything out, everything you had been ignoring for years.
All you had wanted was for him to give you something, you had only ever wanted him to choose you the way you would always chose him but instead he hadn’t even fought to stop you from leaving, letting you go like you hadn’t given him your best years, hadn’t given him everything you had only to be left alone feeling like you heart wouldn’t start anymore.

Anakin: We have good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?
Obi-Wan: The good news?

Robes and Rules - Obi Wan Kenobi
“Parting is such sweet sorrow” - Romeo and Juliet
Tumblr media
You stirred at a sound of rustling. It was a strange way of waking. For after so long, you were used to being stirred by wandering hands and the dimness of the light’s morning setting, that bathed your quarters in a soft yellow glow. It was a colder way of waking that left you wanting.
And at the sight of Obi Wan is shrugging on his first robes, it’s chill grew. Your chest grew heavy and tension gathered in your shoulders. Every weight you felt, that of the world, the galaxy, this situation, shifted with you as laid on your side to watch your lover leave.
“Is it time already?” Your words came out horse, riddled with the leftovers of sleep and haunted by the blissed-out ghost of your voice from the night before. Obi Wan already slipped his arms through the sleeves as you asked. When he pivoted his stance to face you, you caught a glimmer in his blue eyes.
“I’m afraid so.”
“Pity,” you murmured, turning to rest on your back and face the cold, lonely ceiling. “Felt like there were things we could continue.”
“For both our sakes, I don’t think we should.”
“Careful,” you warned, flicking your gaze back over to Obi Wan. “You’re starting to sound more and more like the collective Council.”
“There are rules, Y/N.”
You nodded bitterly and returned your eyes to the ceiling. The moment you did, you heard Obi Wan’s boot clomp against the floor of your room. It took your every ounce of willpower to keep from watching him as he walked out your door. You simply stayed still, listening for the hiss that would come with the opening entrance and his dulled footfalls.
When the sound of the door never sounded, you turned your head and saw him. Obi Wan stood at your bedside, paces away from the exit, paces away from leaving. He was yours, for a few seconds longer. You reached out a lazy hand in the hopes he would take, prove that he was truly yours. That he would stay.
“There are feelings too, Obi,” you countered softly. “Unless there isn’t?”
“No, there are,” he whispered. Obi Wan took your extended hand and a trembling breath slipped past your lips.
Almost as if he heard the shaking in your throat, he moved to sit on the edge of your bed. The mattress dipped under his weight, incidentally letting you fall closer into his warmth. His bright blue eyes drank in your features and you were thrust back into similar mornings. Mornings of pillow talk and careful caresses before someone’s comm chimed, tore down the peace you built in the peaceful hours of dawn.
“Then we continue.”
“Then we continue,” he replied, but his lips faltered down into a frown. “But you must know that my allegiances to-”
“The Republic,” you interrupted, giving his hand a soft squeeze. You and Obi Wan had talked so many times about this before, what would happen if what you had fell apart. “As are mine, as are all the Jedi.”
“Yes, but my allegiances to you will endure, whether we continue or not. Know that.”
As he spoke, Obi Wan leaned in closer, until his face was tantalizing few inches from your own. His warmth both put you at ease and stole your breath away. When you felt it soak into the sheets of your bed and to your exposed skin beneath, you also became suddenly aware of how vulnerable you were. But as Obi Wan’s free hand moved to cup your face, you knew he would not exploit that fact; he would protect you, always.
“I know now,” you replied once you found your breath again.
A soft silence settled between you then. Obi Wan’s hands remained on you: his left gave yours a gentle squeeze while the right traced your jawline. He drew you in and pressed the lightest of kisses to the corner of your mouth. You smiled when Obi Wan pulled away before you tugged his lips back to yours. He relented, kissed you harder than the last time.
His beard tickled your chin and coaxed your smile to widen. You felt his own mouth mirror your expression. At the sensation, you titled your head back and studied Obi Wan’s expression. How rare it was to see him smile. You leaned back and savored the sight. “I’ll see you at today’s meeting?” Obi Wan asked, his tone low in a whisper. You merely nodded in response and he leaned forwards once more, pressed yet another kiss to your forehead.
He stood up then, gave your hand a last squeeze, and headed towards the door of your chambers. Watching Obi Wan leave was never easy. Even in those slow mornings of wandering hands, you always felt a pang of loss when he walked away. But then, that morning, with the tingling feeling of his lips on your yours and your skin lingering, it was lessened.
Though, as always, Obi Wan left with a part of your heart in his.

Summary: When Padmé get's assassinated, Obi Wan and you head into pursuit. You keep getting flustered with the teasing comments Obi Wan drops while chasing the assassin. You blow him a kiss, jumping out of the speeder after spotting the assassin, giving Obi Wan a heartattack. Reunited, he scolds you for being reckless. Afterwards he is still bothers and corners you into an alley. Tensions rise as he hopes you understand to never do it again. Happy May the fourth!
Tumblr media
“Hurry!” – Obi Wan called out, pointing at the speeder. You ran around, jumping in at the side of the steering wheel. Obi Wan giving you a quick raised brow. You chuckled mischievous. He sighed soft letting himself slide beside you. Before he could say anything, you stepped on the gas, the speeder flinging forwards. Obi Wan grabbed on tight to the side, face contracted with fear. You laughed loud, turning at the steering.
You maneuvered through other crafts. The speeder swinging from left to right, swirling into other lanes. Smiling you, turned hard at the steering, the speeder taking a full spin over a craft. You turned the speeder back around, suddenly in front of the craft. Obi Wan looking your way with a scowl. – “Eyes on the road Kenobi.” – you told him, focusing on not crashing into others.
Obi Wan chuckled. – “Maybe I like looking at you.” – he teased all smug before his face contracted with fear from a spin that you caused. You laughed loud, removing one hand from the steering to point his face forwards. – “I need you to look for the assassin.” – you reminded him. Obi Wan nodded, looking around. – “There!” – you called out and without a warning you moved the nose of the speeder down.
Obi Wan calling it out in a panic, holding on tight. You with a wide smile on your lips. You kept going down, passing through other crafts going forwards. Obi Wan swallowed seeing a larger ship hover across. Panic reflecting in his eyes. – “Y/n.” – he said calmly yet slightly becoming nervous. You were laughing with excitement. – “Pull up.” – he said. The speeder kept going straight down. – “Y/n pull up!” – he called out a bit more frantic. The large ship approaching.
You pulled at the steering as the speeder’s nose went up. Flying out of control from left to right just above it. Obi Wan looked behind him to the passing ship. – “You know I hate it when you do that.” – he said. You smiled smug at him. – “I’m sorry Obi Wan, I forgot you don’t like flying.” – you teased sarcastically. – “I don’t mind flying.” – Obi wan answered. – “What you are doing is making my heart speed up… although you don’t need a speeder for that.” – he winked your way.
Eyes slightly widening you felt like squealing loud. Cheeks flustering with heat. You dropped the speeder, flying a notch lower. Looking around for any sign of the assassin to try and get the flush out of your cheeks. You furrowed your brows at the new section you were flying through. Pillars breathing fire at all sides. You swayed around them neatly. Obi Wan unable to resist a comment. – “Is it hot here or is that just you?”
You nearly choked in your own breathing at how smooth that was. – “I am trying to focus, Obi Wan.” – you told him unable to stop getting flustered. It was hot around the fires and now you even felt hotter. Beyond boiling temperature. Ready to melt into a puddle. Obi Wan pointed forwards as the assassin drew closer. You nodded speeding a bit up, ever so watchful of the fires. The assassin drew its blaster, shooting. Your eyes widened seeing the electricity spur across.
“Y/n you can’t be serious!” – Obi wan said. It was too late to pull up as you flew right through it. The electricity electrocuting you. It made you shudder a bit till it passed. Obi Wan exhaled loud. – “Feels almost like being around you.” – he said. Biting your lip, you couldn’t handle how much he kept casually flirting with you while flying. You sped up, catching up with the assassin. She was swift, but you could easily follow. Avoiding others without any sweat.
You followed her into a tunnel. Spinning the speeder around to gain positions closer to her. She shot out, you moments later. Obi Wan patted you on the knee as you came to a slow stop. His arms crossed, looking around. – “Well you’ve lost ‘em.” – he said. You were looking curiously down. – “I’m deeply sorry Obi Wan.” – you told him. – “That was some short cut Y/n. He went completely the other way.”
You were looking back down again. – “If you’ll excuse me.” – you casually said, blowing him a kiss. You got up and jumped out of the speeder. – “Y/n!” – Obi Wan shouted, moving to your side to grab the steering. He looked down, watching you fall. His heart pounding loudly against his chest. His mind panicking. You kept falling. Obi Wan almost afraid to look. Hoping you wouldn’t crash into another speeder. His muscles pulled together, startled when you landed hard on the speeder of the assassin.
He allowed himself to exhale brief out of relief. Although he was still very much worried. You were holding on tight. The assassin looking up, turning the steering. You nearly rolled off, holding on at the last moment. Swaying your leg up, you tried crawling on it. The speeder faced down making you slide down. At the long edges, you grabbed on. Ducking down, you avoided being blasted at. Obi Wan’s heart rate spiking up dangerously.
He was chasing after you, hoping to catch up quick enough if he needed to catch you. The assassin moved the speeder closer to the side, wanting to squash you between as it flew straight once more. You swayed from side to side, avoiding it. You managed to crawl up, taking out your lightsaber. It lighted up as you drew it down. Moving it around in the cockpit to hurt the assassin.
The assassin fired back. A shot hit your hand, making you lose your grip on your lightsaber. It flung through the air. Obi Wan noticed the saber coming his way, moving his hand up to catch it for you. He tossed it onto the seat beside him. He sped up more to come to your aid. Jaw tense with constant worry. You stuck your hand through the gap you had created, grabbing at her hands. She kept moving it away, but you were able to get a grip on her hand.
You diverted her hand down as she started shooting. She shot her own compartments as it shot fire. The speeder was fastening down. She swaying her hand across as the speeder wobbled from side to side. You had to hold on tight to not fall off. Obi Wan drawing nearer as he noticed you were about to crash. The ground came closer making you groan. Letting go, you rolled to the side off the speeder. You hit the ground hard, rolling over till you came up on your knees.
The speeder sliding over the floor, sparks coming from underneath it till it bumped. You coughed loud, holding your side. Obi Wan parked the speeder down, jumping out. He ran over to you, grabbing you firm by your arm before you could run off to the assassin. – “Are you mad?” – he scolded, shoving your saber against your stomach.
You caught it, taking it in your hand. – “What you did was out of the question! You could’ve been killed!” – he fired at you, angry at you for being so reckless. – “The assassin.” – you told him, attempting to move towards them. Obi Wan grabbed your elbow, keeping you in place. – “I never want to see you do that again!” – he ordered.
He finally let go of you as you rushed towards the speeder. The assassin gone. Out of anger, you stomped your fist against the burning speeder. Obi Wan pulling you away before it would blow. You found the assassin quickly, running after them. Finally you caught them as it was of little victory. Their face shifted into many as they slowly dried out. Walking back to the speeder, Obi Wan still had the knot in his stomach.
You got startled when he took a hold of your elbow, pulling you into an alley. He shoved you hard against the wall, coming to stand before you. His hand pressed firm beside you on the wall. His other hand moving swiftly through his hair to lay it flat. He took a deep breath. You swallowed shy at how he was hovering over you. – “Do you understand what you did was risky?” – he asked loudly, joining his other hand beside you.
You nodded flustered, his eyes staring intensely back at you. – “So much could’ve gone wrong.” – he continued, moving his head closer. You were half listening, suddenly drawn to his lips. Wetting yours briefly, you stared down at his lips. Looking up, you were caught by him. Obi Wan had noticed how your eyes had drifted down to his lips. He held his tongue, simply watching you. Shy, you drew your face away.
Obi Wan removed his hands from against the wall, taking your head and turning it back to you. – “Do you understand?” – he asked as you slowly nodded. Obi Wan exhaled deep, moving his eyes down to your lips too. Swallowing nervously, he brought your face closer to his, kissing your lips tenderly. Moving his lips a bit away, he couldn’t help himself but smile teasingly. Tilting his head a bit, he kissed you again.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was in love with you. He had been in love with you for some time but he was too afraid to see it, after all, Jedi weren't allowed to form attachments and he felt like he had formed a strong one with you. You felt the same though, of course you did, how could you not? He was extremely attractive, kind, caring and most importantly, he was loving. Obi-Wan was known to put other people first before himself and that was what drew you to him. But he didn't know. He didn't even have an inkling that you had feelings for him. You hid it very well that was, until that night.
Obi-Wan sat in bed on his holopad taking in the recent Republic News. Nothing new, interesting or important was happening on that front, so Obi-Wan threw his holopad to one side and sighed dramatically to himself. As he looked around his rather barren room, Obi-Wan felt his mind wonder to you. Your smile, your laugh, the way you held yourself in battle. He was wondering how you were doing, after all, it had been a few days since you had last seen each other what with your busy schedules and all.
"Maybe I should go and see her," Obi-Wan pondered to himself aloud. He checked the time: it was late and sure you were probably getting yourself ready to go to sleep but there was something in his gut telling him to visit you tonight. With another sigh, Obi-Wan stood up and took his carefully folded garments off the back of a chair situated in the corner of his room. He got dressed and silently made his way down to your quarters.
Conveniently, your quarters were quite close to his own, but, the walk felt like a lifetime. Obi-Wan found he always felt anxious when he was around you: his heart would beat rapidly, his palms would become sweaty and his mind would become clouded. However, he tried to ground himself, reminding himself that you too were a Jedi, just a Jedi. The halls of the ship were silent apart from the occasional trooper passing by on guard duty. Obi-Wan would simply bid them a goodnight, not bothering with pleasantries, before continuing on his way to your room.
As he reached your room, Obi-Wan felt his heart begin to race. He contemplated going back to his own quarters, but that feeling in his gut was still present telling him to knock on. Just as he was about to knock, he heard a soft whimper come from inside your room. Fearing you might have been hurt, Obi-Wan wasted no time in knocking and just barged in silently. When he entered his jaw dropped to the floor: you were spread naked on your bed, blanket pushed behind you, legs parted wide, eyes closed and two fingers stuffed inside your glistening cunt. "Mmmm oh fuck," you whimpered, biting your lip slightly. "Obi-Wan, please." His eyes widened at the mention of his name. You were thinking about him? Whilst touching yourself? Him?
Obi-Wan swore his brain had short-circuited for a second before he realised that your bedroom door was wide open. Panicking, he slammed the door shut with him still inside your room causing you to realise that someone had intruded on your 'private time'. Your eyes shot open and your fingers withdrew from your pussy, reaching out for the blanket propped behind you to cover yourself up. "Obi-Wan!" You screeched, fumbling to cover yourself up with the blanket. When he didn't respond, you shouted at him again. "What are you doing here?"
"I-I-" Obi-Wan stammered, trying to find the right words whilst trying to wrap his head around what he had just witnessed. He should have left. Why didn't he leave?
"Get out!" You yelled, throwing a pillow in his direction.
Turning on his heels, Obi-Wan swiftly exited your quarters. He pulled his Jedi robes over his crotch to cover the tent in his trousers and bolted down the corridor back to his quarters, praying that the clones wouldn't stop him for a conversation. When he finally made it back to his room, he rushed in slamming the door behind him and sinking to the floor. His erection was pressing against his garments that it became suffocating and uncomfortable. Of course he had thought about you in such compromising positions before, but he always felt wrong touching himself to thoughts of you and so he refrained. Up until now.
Obi-Wan was quick to stand up and take off his robes as well as the clothes that were suffocating him, discarding them on the floor without caring about future creases. He dropped his boxers and practically jumped on the bed, hand wrapped firmly around his length. Images of you sprawled across your bed with your fingers inside of your cunt entered his mind and Obi-Wan automatically began pumping his cock. Obi-Wan never touched himself, so the moans thoughtlessly fell from his lips. "Fuck," he cursed, grasping the base of his cock a little too harshly. His pace was rapid, haphazardly sloppy, as he chased his own high. Thoughts of you moaning his name so deliciously filled his mind and within mere seconds his orgasm washed over him. Stuttering his hips up to meet his hand motions, cum spurted out of his plush pink tip, spilling all over Obi-Wan's exposed stomach. Panting, he looked down at his spend and groaned. He wanted to feel disgusted with himself but with the post-orgasm haze the only thing that was really on his mind, was sleep.
Obi-Wan's eyes fluttered open as his alarm rung through his quarters. Blinking rapidly, Obi-Wan had managed to trick himself into thinking that what had happened had all been just a dream. That was, until he looked down at his stomach. With a groan, he rolled out of his bed and picked his robes up off the floor before making his way to the shower attached to his room. Turning on the shower and stepping in, Obi-Wan welcomed the water as he lathered himself up with soap, desperately trying to scrub off his orgasm and the shame he felt along with it. He stood there for what felt like hours, just letting the warm water fall over his skin, basking in the feeling of being clean. When Obi-Wan finally decided to get out, he turned the water off and wrapped an orange towel around his waist loosely. Plodding into his room, he heard a quiet but rapid knock coming from his bedroom door. Rubbing the back of his neck, he groaned and rolled his eyes before responding. "Hold on a moment!"
"Obi-Wan, it's me." Your voice rang through the door. "It's really important, I'm coming in."
"Wait, Y/N-" He tried to protest, rushing to the door in an attempt to stop you, but you had already opened the door and walked into the room.
Your eyes widened at the sight in front of you and you quickly closed the door behind you before walking further into the room. You tried to ignore the blush that had crept onto your face and attempted to ignore the fact that Obi-Wan was in nothing but a towel, his hair and beard dripping remnants of water from his shower. "We need to talk," you said simply, motioning to the bed. You sat down and patted the space next to you. Completely speechless with embarrassment, Obi-Wan obeyed your silent command and sat down next to you, closing his legs. "About last night-" You started.
"Don't," Obi-Wan interrupted you, holding a finger up. "We don't need to talk about it."
"Yes we do," you said sternly. "I didn't mean for you to see any of that. If I knew you were coming, I would never have engaged in such behaviour."
"I should have knocked," Obi-Wan replied. He couldn't help the fact his eyes trailed down your body before they landed on his own lap. "I thought you were hurt and my instincts just kicked in."
"You thought I was hurt?"
"I heard you whimpering and the thought of... Masturbation... never crossed my mind," Obi-Wan answered honestly, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm sorry Obi-Wan," you whispered.
There was a moment of silence between the two of you before Obi-Wan decided to talk. He wasn't sure where his question came from, but he couldn't help but ask. "Were you really thinking of me?"
Your eyes widened. "You heard that?" Obi-Wan nodded, almost sheepishly as if he should be the one embarrassed. "Oh Obi..."
"Were you?" He asked again, earning a nod from you in response.
"I know I shouldn't have been," you said quickly, holding your hands up to physically show your defence. "I-I couldn't help it!" You wanted to tell him you liked him, loved him even, but the words couldn't leave your lips. You had never really said it out loud yourself even though Anakin had teased you about it constantly. "Say something."
Obi-Wan looked at you as he brought up a hand to his beard to play with the strands of hair. "Did you finish after I left?"
Your mouth hung open at his words and a snort erupted from you in disbelief. "Of all the things you could say and you decide to say that?"
Obi-Wan looked at you. "That's not an answer."
You blinked at him before responding. "No. As soon as you left I got dressed and cried myself to sleep."
"You cried?"
"Out of embarrassment, yes of course," you admitted. Obi-Wan's hand fell from his beard and reached out to grab your own, squeezing it lightly in reassurance.
"It's nothing to be embarrassed about," he whispered, completely forgetting the fact he was in his towel now. "I was just surprised."
You nodded in response, licking your bottom lip nervously. You weren't sure what to say. You had said all you came to say. "I should go," you whispered to him, standing up.
"Stay," Obi-Wan said quietly. Almost begging you. He stood up with you, your hand still in his. With a slight tug, Obi-Wan had pulled you into his body. You were so close that you could feel his breath fanning across your face which brought another blush to spread across your cheeks as he looked down at you. You looked up and met his eyes, removing your hand form his and from then on, everything felt like it went in slow motion. Your hands raised to rest on his exposed chest as Obi-Wan's lips met yours in a chaste, soft kiss. Butterflies exploded in your stomach as Obi-Wan's lips melted against yours, moving across them almost effortlessly. "I love you," he admitted quietly into your lips.
You pulled away from the kiss and Obi-Wan rested his forehead against yours as you sighed happily. "I love you too Obi," you replied. As soon as you responded, his lips were on yours once more. This time he kissed you hungrily, as if all his admission of love was poured into this one kiss. You moved your hands away from his chest and wrapped them around his neck, pulling him closer into you. You were desperate for his touch. As if he knew, Obi-Wan's hands wrapped around your waist, resting on the small of your back. "I need you Obi-Wan," you whispered.
"I'm right here," he replied, chasing your lips.
"No I mean, I need you," you repeated, trailing your hands down his body and resting on the towel covering his cock.
"Oh," was all he could reply with as you sunk down to your knees.
"Is this okay?" You asked, asking for permission to de-towel him. Obi-Wan's breath hitched in his throat as he nodded, his cock hardening by the second at the sight of you on your knees in front of him. You smiled at him sweetly as you unwrapped the towel from his waist, eyes widening at his size as he became known to you. "Oh my," you whispered to yourself, but this earned a laugh from the man towering above you.
"Is it to your liking?" Obi-Wan asked rhetorically, his hand making it's way down to his cock, gripping it. You gulped and nodded in response, unsure of how exactly to voice your praises. You put your hand over Obi-Wan's and moved it out of the way before placing your own hand around his cock and gave a few experimental pumps. Obi-Wan groaned in response and bucked his hips forwards, earning a smile from you. Without hesitation, you licked your lips and sunk his cock into your mouth, hallowing your cheeks as you did. This made the Jedi above you whimper and his hands instinctually went to grasp your hair, pushing you further down on his length. You were embarrassed to say you could only take him in your mouth half-way. Obi-Wan's cock was long, veiny and thick, at least 7-8 inches and curved slightly at the top, but that didn't stop you from wrapping your hand around his base once more and sloppy wanking him off as you sucked. Obi-Wan shivered at this new-found pleasure, relishing in the feeling of your wet cavern around his member and your hand pumping away at the remaining few inches. "I could get addicted to this," he mused to himself quietly. You ignored his comment and dragged your tongue along the underside of his cock all the way up to his tip, swirling your tongue around the exposed head that had had your mouth metaphorically watering a few moments before. Obi-Wan decided to move his hips in turn with your sucking, forcing his cock further down your throat than you were able to take which caused you to gag slightly and pull up for air. You shot Obi-Wan an apologetic glance and he smiled back at you reassuringly, moving one hand from your hair to your cheek and caressing it with his thumb. You went to place his cock back into your mouth, but Obi-Wan pulled away, much to your confusion. "Let me taste you now," he whispered.
"Are you sure?" You stuttered, but Obi-Wan simply replied by hoisting you up to your feet and turning you around to push you lightly onto the bed.
"These are getting in the way," Obi-Wan said, motioning to your Jedi robes and your garments. "Take them off," he somewhat commanded. You nodded sheepishly and slowly began to take off your clothes, leaving Obi-Wan to relish in the sight of you naked before him once more, but this time, it was all for him. When your clothes were fully removed, Obi-Wan pushed your back against the mattress and pulled your legs apart agonisingly slow. He took a moment to admire your glossy cunt, twitching in excitement for him and what he was about to do to you.
"I've never experienced anything like this," you whispered lowly. You had no reason to be embarrassed, after all you were a Jedi. Jedi don't usually do things like this in order to ensure no attachments are formed.
"Neither have I," Obi-Wan admitted, looking up at you. "We shall experience this together. May I?" He asked, motioning to your cunt. You nodded in response, and without any hesitation, Obi-Wan dived into you like you were a five-star, five-course meal. The second his lips made contact with your folds, a moan of his name left your lips. This only spurred Obi-Wan on more, licking long, tentative stripes up your slick in an attempt to taste every inch of you. You grasped the bedsheets underneath and hoisted your legs up so that they were Obi-Wan's shoulders, giving him greater access to your sex. His tongue teased your entrance, begging to be let in, and your hands shot to his hair in an attempt to hide your embarrassment. However, Obi-Wan didn't pay any attention and instead forced his tongue into your hole.
"Oh Maker, Obi-Wan," you whimpered quietly. You threw your head back as far as it would go as Obi-Wan continued to eat you out like a man starved of nutrition. His tongue danced inside your cunt almost expertly and you were surprised that he had never done anything like this before with how well he was doing. Bringing you close to your orgasm already, one of your hands fell from his head and to your clit working slow circles on the sensitive bundle of nerves. "Obi-Wan, I'm going to cum," you announced.
"Do it, my love," he whispered to you. "Cum on my face. Now."
As if one cue, you came undone. Your legs began to shake violently over Obi-Wan's shoulders as your orgasm washed over you. Your vision spotted white and you looked down to see Obi-Wan continuing to lick up your folds, desperate to prolong your orgasm. "Obi-Wan," you whimpered as you came down from your high.
"You taste delectable my dear," he smiled at you, moving his face from your cunt and wiping your juices off of his beard. "I can't wait to feel you."
You looked away from Obi-Wan out of embarrassment as he began to line himself up with your entrance. He slicked the tip of his cock up your folds to lubricate and shivered at the contact. "Stop teasing," you almost begged. Obi-Wan shot you a cheeky grin before pushing himself into you slowly. "Ow!"
"Fuck," he cursed under his breath. He had only put the tip in and you were already gripping around him like a vice. "So tight."
"Don't say that," you mumbled. Obi-Wan bent down to kiss your neck, leaving trails of open mouthed kisses against the delicate skin around your jugular vein.
"I'm going to push myself in completely now darling, stay still for me and relax," Obi-Wan cooed into your ear. You nodded and took a shaky breath in as Obi-Wan pushed himself further inside of you, now fully sheathed inside your cunt.
"Shit," you cursed, grabbing onto Obi-Wan's shoulders in an attempt to keep yourself grounded. "Please don't move yet, I'm not ready."
"Don't worry darling, just tell me when," he replied, biting down lightly on your earlobe.
You nodded in response and waited a few seconds before giving Obi-Wan the all clear to move. "Okay," you said breathlessly. "You can move."
"I'll start off slow," Obi-Wan said reassuringly. True to his word, he started off slow, pulling his cock out of you completely before stuffing himself back inside instantaneously. You let out a quiet cry of his name as he repeated this motion a few times. "Does that feel good my love?" He asked, more so to reassure himself that what he was doing was right. You nodded quickly and wrapped your arms around his neck to keep yourself still. Although his thrusts were slow, they were hard, almost knocking the wind out of you with every movement of his hips.
His name fell from your lips like a prayer to whatever Maker may have been out there. Obi-Wan used this as an excuse to fasten his pace, thrusting in and out of you at insane speeds. Your head was spinning, another orgasm closing in on you before you even had time to recuperate from your first one and you were dragging your nails down Obi-Wan's exposed back, sure to leave marks later on. "Maker, Obi-Wan," you whimpered, trying to warn him of your orgasm.
"Are you going to cum again my dear?" He asked, feeling your walls tightening around his cock. You nodded qucikly, unable to speak. "Squeezing me so well," Obi-Wan choked out as he continued to drill into you. A whimper ripped from your throat as Obi-Wan continued hitting that spot inside of you continuously, forcing your second orgasm to finally wash over you. "Good girl," Obi-Wan growled into your ear. "Can I cum now baby? Please?" He asked, begging for permission to spill his load inside of you.
"Yes Obi," you replied, begging. "Please."
Obi-Wan let out a slight nod and lifted his head to watch your face contort into different expressions. "So pretty," he whispered to you, trailing one hand down your body to cup one of your breasts tenderly. "Going to cum inside of you Y/N," he whispered to you, never breaking eye contact. With a few more staggered thrusts of his hips, he came inside of you and with an extremely loud groan of your name.
Silence.
All's you could hear was Obi-Wan's rugged breathing through the ringing in your ears despite making intense eye contact with the Jedi hovering above you. "Y/N," he whispered to you, collapsing on top of you. "Was that okay?"
"Amazing," you replied breathlessly. When you finally caught your breath, you began laughing as Obi-Wan's weight became crushing. "Obi, you're crushing me."
"Sorry dear," he apologised, rolling off of you and into the empty space next to you.
You turned your head to the side to look at Obi-Wan and smiled at him lovingly. "We should do that again."
Obi-Wan nodded, returning your smile. "Only if you want too."
"Naturally," you replied with a laugh.
"I know we shouldn't, attachments are forbidden but, will you be mine Y/N?"
"I thought you'd never ask Kenobi," you smirked.
"Stay with me for a while, I have a council meeting I need to attend with Anakin later. It would be nice to have your company too."
"Are you sure?" You asked, tilting your head to the side. Obi-Wan just nodded in response, closing his eyes.
Maybe you'd have time for one more round before he had to go to that council meeting.

Everything I Need Is In You

"Stay away from me, Obi. I know when I am not wanted now that I am carrying your child in my belly!" I shouted back stomping through his small flat of his house in the desert of Tattoine. We have been together for almost ten years since the jedi order had fallen and the empire took over the galaxy. He runs after me until we ended up outside gently managing to grab my wrist spinning me around where I was facing him. "Y/n, wait. I'm sorry that I shouted at you. I...it's just I am not used to needing to look out for someone I care about. It's been ten years since I have really given my heart to anyone." His blue eyes had some tears slipping down his telling me he was actually serious about this.
Obi-wan and I had met at the small bar when he first landed on this planet. I could read that he was completely broken from the man he used to be. I was friends with some of the other jedi that were killed so I could relate to what he was feeling. That is what brought us together - both searching for something new in our lives. "Obi-Wan I don't understand. How can you say you don't want the baby one second and then another you are acting like you have to?" Shaking my head at him I was more confused than ever. He moved his hand from my wrist to cradle my cheek and I leaned into his palm. "Because I feel this need to protect you and this child. I didn't do a good job with that ten years ago...so I don’t want to mess it up. Cause I enjoy you and me together as a team."
“Then we can be scared of the unknown together, Kenobi. You, me and this child of ours. We can make it through this life on this desert plan better than it has been..plus I always believed that you would be a good father after the way you would be around the younglings.” He wrapped his arms around me gently where I clutched the fabric of his old robes he wore. He kisses my hair on the crown of my head pulling me back inside the small house since we knew the sand people were dangerous. We both laid back down in the bed listening to the others heartbeat and the sound of the sandy wind outside the windows until I felt Obi shift and reach for something from the table beside the bed. “Y/n, I know this might be sudden but I do care about you a lot. Yet if you will have me will you become my wife?” He shows me a sliver ring that had a tiny star engraved on it. Leaning forward I kissed him letting him slip the ring on my hand. “Yes, I will gladly become Mrs. Kenobi.” He smiled kissing me running his freehand through my loose hair.

Ben and you found an old, large fighter ship. Despite Ben’s insistence on going straight to Exegol, you told him to chart a path to where the Resistance was. You excused yourself to the back of the ship while Ben piloted, allowing yourself time alone to meditate. You could feel a familiar presence in front of you, though you still didn’t open your eyes.
“Despite everything that I did to protect you,” Obi-Wan spoke up, “I was never going to be able to stop your destiny.” He sighed. “You are the Chosen One.”
You opened your eyes, giving him a smile small. “You did try your hardest,” you responded. “Even in death.”
“I never wished that burden upon you.”
“I know. And I appreciate everything you did to try and protect me.”
“I wish I could do more now.”
You sighed. “I can only hope that I will have enough strength to defeat Palpatine once and for all.”
Obi-Wan placed a hand on your knee. “You have the strength, you always have. Besides, my little star, I would never let you confront Palpatine alone.”
“Thank you.” The two of you sat in silence for a moment. “I can’t let Ben go to Exegol with me. He’s already been through enough.”
“Take an escape pod. I can guide you to Exegol.”
“You’re willing to help me fulfill my destiny?”
He gave you a small smile. “I really don’t have much of a choice, do I?” He stood up, taking your hands and pulling you up with him. “I love you, little star” He leaned in and kissed you briefly before disappearing.
“I love you too.”
You looked toward the door that would lead you to Ben. You walked into the cockpit and briefly watched Ben flying. He had so much of his grandparents and parents in him. He glanced back at you, having sensed you.
“Is everything alright?” He asked.
“Everything’s fine,” you responded. You walked forward and sat down in the copilot seat beside him.
“I don’t believe you.”
You stayed quiet, studying your great-nephew as he piloted. “I know about your bond with Rey.” Ben stayed silent. “She talked to me about it for the first time a few months ago. I told her about the bond Obi-Wan and I shared… share, I guess.” You chuckled lightly. “I questioned her about something that she ended up refusing to answer.”
“What was it?”
“If she loved you… I don’t think she realized that I could sense the truth from her already. Just as I can you… You love her in turn.”
“Aunt—“
“Don’t try to argue with me, Ben Solo. You know that you’ve never won an argument with me.” You sighed, looking at the stars out of the window in front of you. “The only thing I wish I could go back and change is telling Obi-Wan about my feelings sooner.” You looked over at Ben again. “Don’t wait until it’s too late to share your feelings. I would hate to see that happen to you.” Ben stayed silent. “No matter what you’ve done, Ben, you are still worthy of love.” Standing up, you placed a hand on Ben’s shoulder and gave it a light squeeze. “I’ll be in the back.”
You wished you could explain to him your decision or say goodbye, but he would insist on coming with you and you couldn’t allow that. With a deep inhale, you headed for an escape pod. You got yourself situated before taking another deep breath.
“Okay, Obi,” you whispered to yourself, “show me the way and, please, buy me some time.”
~~~
The darkness that was Exegol made you sick. So sick that you thought you were going to vomit. Instead, you breathed deeply and summoned more strength from the Force. You were honestly frightened at the sight of all of those Star Destroyers hovering in the air. There was fog floating between the whips with lightning striking down occasionally. You landed your escape pod and jumped out. It surprised you that you weren’t shot down, but that only meant that you were expected.
Hearing another ship above you, you looked up and recognized Luke’s X-Wing descending to land beside your ship. Rey hopped out.
“What are you doing here?” She asked, concerned. “This is my fight.”
“Oh, Rey,” you shook your head slightly. “It’s always been mine.”
She knew what you meant. You had spoken to her briefly about the Chosen One proficiency. Rey knew that you believed this to be your destiny and she wasn’t about to let you deal with it alone. The two of you walked forward, beginning your path to the heart of Exegol together.
You walked past ruins, lightning, and tanks of failed clones of the Emperor. Then you headed to the lower level where there was more lightning and giant statues of Sith Lords. Everything inside of you was telling you to run but you couldn’t. Not when Palpatine was so close that you could feel his entire, dark being. Or what was left of it anyway.
Rey and you continued into the heart of Exegol until you stumbled across a large throne. Voices up in the stand-like walls began chatting in the language of the Sith. You and Rey turned to realize there were hundreds of hooded beings looking down on you.
“Long have I waited…” The Emperor’s rough voice broke through the chanting just before it stopped.
You and Rey turned around to see Palpatine, a mangled and missing-parts form of his original self attached to technology to keep him upright and moving. The flashing light that the lightning briefly provided allowed you to see that his eyes were almost pure white and that his veins were black, running underneath his thin, ghostly skin.
“For my grandchild to come home,” Palpatine continued with a wicked smile. “And she brought the Chosen One with her.” You clenched your jaw. His focus went back onto Rey. “I never wanted you dead. I wanted you here… Empress Palpatine.” His arm branched out, pointing to the large throne beside him. The machine he was connected to moved forward, toward the two women. “You will take the throne.”
Gasping, clearly nervous, Rey stepped back. You stood your ground, not allowing Palpatine the upper hand. “It is your birthright to rule… here. It is in your blood. Our blood.”
Rey stepped back again as Palpatine moved forward. “I haven’t come to lead the Sith,” she said. “I have come to end them.”
“As a Jedi?”
“Yes. Just as my Masters have trained me.”
This time, you began stepping back because Palpatine continued to inch forward.
“No,” Palpatine responded. “Your hatred, your anger. You want to kill me? That is what I want. Kill me and my spirit will pass into you, as all the Sith live in me… You will be Empress… We will be one.”
“No,” you retorted sharply, placing yourself between Rey and the Emperor.
He chuckled. “Look at you… Y/N Skywalker. The Council’s favorite. The only original member of the Jedi Order left. Do you really think you can stop Rey from killing me? I know you sense it within her, the anger, the hatred. Just like your brother… Rey will fall and you won’t be able to stop me, like all of the times before.” With a flick of his wrist, you were thrown to the side, rolling to a stop on the ground. “The time has come! With your hatred, you will take my life. And you will ascend.”
“All you want is for me to hate, but I won’t,” Rey told him, holding her strength. “Not even you.”
“Weak. Like your parents.”
“My parents were strong. They saved me from you.”
“Your Master Luke Skywalker was saved by his father. The only family you have here… is me.”
“You’re wrong,” you groaned, pushing yourself up. “She has been and the rest of the Resistance.” You moved to be beside Rey.
Palpatine cackled. He looked up, where the ceiling opened up to reveal the Resistance getting shot down by the Final Order. “They don’t have long,” he said. “No one is coming to help them. And you are the one who led them here. Strike me down. Take the throne. Reign over a new Empire… and the fleet will be yours. Only you have the power to save them. Refuse, and your new family… dies.”
Rey met your gaze. You shook your head, mouthing ‘don’t’. Suddenly, you both could feel it. Ben was here on Exegol. Rey looked away from you and nodded reluctantly at Palpatine.
“Good,” he responded proudly. The Emperor shot his hand forward and brought you to your knees using his Force lightning. You did your best to not cry out in pain. “The ritual begins!” The Emperor lifted himself up higher as his disciples started to chat again. “She will strike me down and pledge herself as a Sith. She will draw her weapon.” Rey took her lightsaber from her belt and ignited it. “She will come to me.” Rey headed toward Palpatine. “She will take her revenge. And with a stroke of her saber, the Sith are reborn! The Jedi are dead! Do it! Make the sacrifice.”
Rey held her saber up and paused. You could sense that she and Ben were connecting. Rey put her saber behind her like she was winding up to use all of her strength. You smiled when the lightsaber disappeared. Quickly, Rey ignited Leia’s saber that she had with her. You stood up and ignited both of yours as the Red Guards closed in. Rey and yourself worked together to fight them off. The two of you had finished all of them off but one. You went to strike the last one down but Ben beat you to it. You smiled proudly as he came to stand with you and Rey. The three of you got into fighting stances, facing the Emperor.
“Stand together, die together!” The Emperor exclaimed.
Palpatine threw his arms out, launching the three of you back and your lightsabers out of your hands. Palpatine then uses the Force to pull the three of you down to your knees. Force Energy leaves Ben and Rey and flies into the Emperor, startling him. The Emperor stared at his mangled hands as they began to become whole again.
“The lifeforce of your bond…” He mumbled to himself. “A dyad in the Force… A power like life itself. Unseen for generations. Even Y/N and Kenobi’s bond was no match… And now… the power of two… restores the one, true, Emperor.”
With his now strengthened Sith powers, Palpatine drained more Force Energy from Ben and Rey. Rey shrieks as Ben grits his teeth. The Emperor cackled as he gained more power.
“No,” you whispered to yourself. “No.” You closed your eyes. “Be with me. Be with me. Be with me.”
Suddenly, you felt uplifted and your head was filled with voices.
“This is it, little star. Rise and fight.” Obi-Wan.
“Sister.” Anakin.
“Y/N.” Ahsoka.
“Bring back the balance, Y/N, more than I was able to.” Anakin.
“In the night, find the light.” Master Luminara.
“You’re not alone, Y/N.” Master Windu.
“Alone, never have you been, my Padawan.” Master Yoda.
“Every Jedi who ever lived, lives in you, young one.” Master Qui-Gon.
“The Force surrounds you, sister.” Anakin.
“Let it guide you.” Obi-Wan.
“As it guided us.” Ahsoka.
“Feel the Force flowing through you.” Master Windu.
“Let it lift you.” Anakin.
“Rise, Y/N.” Master Adi.
“We stand behind you, Y/N.” Master Qui-Gon.
“Little Star.” Obi-Wan.
“Rise in the Force.” Yoda.
You put your hands behind you, ready to summon your lightsabers and strength continued to build in you.
“In the heart of a Jedi lies her strength. Rise.” Obi-Wan.
“Rise.” Master Qui-Gon.
“The Force will be with you, always.” Luke.
Your sabers hit your hands. You stood as you ignited them, standing before the Emperor.
“Let your death be the final word,” the Emperor said. “In the story of both the Rebellion and the Jedi Order.”
The Emperor stopped taking the Force Energy from the two beside you, causing them to collapse and shot his Force lightning at you. You deflected it with your sabers, grunting as you stood your ground.
“You are nothing!” Palpatine exclaimed as he got out of the harness he was in and was able to stand on his own two feet. “A fatherless girl from Tatooine who couldn’t save anyone! You are no match for the power in me! I am all the Sith!”
“And I…” you grunted, “am all the Jedi.”
You yelled out as you pushed a wave of the Force forward, causing the Emperor to stumbled back. His lightning faltered, allowing you to hurry forward and plunge one of your sabers into him. He groaned as he began shooting lightning at you again. You strained as you deflected with one saber and with the Force. The lightning reflected off the saber, hitting the Emperor. He screamed as he started to disintegrate. With one final pulse, a large wave of Force exited you. It finished off the Emperor and began to destroy the surrounding area.
You were panting heavily. Soon, your eyes rolled back and you started falling to the ground. But the only things that hit the ground were yours and Obi-Wan’s lightsabers. You were gone.
~~~
You gasped as you woke. Though, you couldn’t have possibly been sleeping as you found yourself standing in an all-white area. You looked around only to see nothing and no one. At least you were no longer on Exegol. Looking down at yourself, you realized that you were many years younger than you had remembered yourself being.
“Hello there, my little star.”
Your head snapped up as the voice sounded behind you. You spun around to see Obi-Wan standing there, smiling at you widely.
“Obi,” you breathed out.
“You did it, darling,” he said. “You did it and now you can rest.”
You stepped forward, lifting your hand up to hover beside his cheek. “Am I…”
“You’re here, sweetheart.” He placed his hand on top of yours, pushing his fingers through yours, as he guided it to rest against his cheek. You gasped, tears lining your eyes. “You’re with me.”
“Obi.”
You launched yourself at him, wrapping your arms around him tightly as your lips captured his. Obi-Wan smiled through the kiss, having waited far too long to physically hold you again. When the two of you broke the kiss, your foreheads found each other.
“I am so proud of you, little star,” Obi-Wan said softly. You knew he meant every word of it.
“I love you, Obi-Wan.”
“And I love you.”
~~~
Ben and Rey landed the Falcon down in the canyon on Tatooine. They gathered their needed items and walked out into the desert. They walked not too far from the canyon opening. Ben opened up an old wooden box he was carrying. Rey brought her sack around to the front of her. First, she pulled out Anakin’s old lightsaber, which was once Luke’s and even hers, and placed it in the box. The next lightsaber was Leia’s, then Obi-Wan’s, and finally yours. Rey held yours in her hand a bit longer than the others before placing it in the box. Ben closed the box up and set it on the ground. Together, they used the Force to push it down and bury it in the sand.
After a moment, Ben and Rey turned back to the canyon. They headed into it and up a long-forgotten path. At the end of the path, they found a small house. They could feel that this house was different, it was special. The two set their things inside, knowing that they needed to clean it out later, and went over to the edge of the cliff. Ben put his arm around Rey and pulled her into him as they stared at the suns that were getting ready to set.
In the distance, they saw Leia and Luke appear in Force Ghost form, watching on fondly. It didn’t take much longer before you and Obi-Wan appeared next to them. You smiled at Rey and Ben, causing them to smile back. Ben and Rey then looked at each other and shared a kiss.
You knew that no matter what came their way, their bond would help them through it. Just as the bond in which you shared with Obi-Wan had helped you.
End Notes: I can't believe it. I can't believe that this is the last chapter. I didn't even have this series as a thought in my head a year ago; now it is one of my most popular ones. It is actually my top series on AO3, beating Out Of Time by almost 10,000 hits. All I can say is thank you. Thank you for the support and those of you who've stuck with it since the beginning. You are the real superstars.
It is so sad to see this series end. This series challenged me in ways I didn't know I could be challenged by a form of writing. I have learned and grown from it.
Don't worry, just because this series is over, doesn't mean that I will stop writing for Star Wars/Obi-Wan. I will definitely still be writing Star Wars/Obi-Wan. I even have a few one-shots already planned that go with this series. (Like Anakin reuniting with Padme, Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan, and Y/N in the afterlife.)
Thank you again for all the love and support.
May the Force be with you.
Proofing her wrong
Summary: Obi Wan is your former master. After Order 66 and while your master had joined the dark side you fleet away. Since then Obi Wan tries to find you, to finally have you all for himself.
Warnings: Smut; semi-forced relationship (?), kidnapping
Author’s note: not edited/English is not my first language; not fully satisfied with the text but had the urge to still post it
 The warm metal of your cuffs started to cut in your hands when you tried your next attempt to leave those dark rooms. Even though you found yourself now on a capital ship, filled with enemies and you were all alone. And for too long, or started to lose your hope. All your friends and allies were gone. You had no idea how to flee but the fear within you fought your uprising hopelessness, only until your heard footsteps along the corridors before the heavy doors opened itself and you got company.
If you weren’t bound to a chair, you would have just run away now, just like the last time when you met your master. He has changed. Only one thing had remained over the last months and that was his love for you, but that was something you couldn’t know yet.
Even though you knew you had the most generous and warmhearted master back then you were afraid when he approached your bound figure. He has turned to the dark side after all and helped Anakin kill all Jedi. You still remember how you had waited in your hideout inside the temple and watched their betrayal in horror before you tried to run away only to get caught by Obi Wan. Out of nowhere he had reached for your little and scared frame and pressed you to himself as if he wanted to comfort you, as if he hadn’t decided to change the sides. And even though his grip on you remained soft and his words were as sweet as before his cruel acts you had to fight back. That’s what you did,so you could flee. But now he had you again.
Obi Wan observed your shaking figure before his gloved hand reached out for your face to cup it gently. His thumb brushed carefully around the wounded skin around your eye.
,,I’m proud of you Y/N. I knew I wouldn’t get you without a proper fight. I hope they weren’t too harsh on you since you seem a bit tired after all, but you will rest soon.’’ Obi Wan said while he pressed your cheek softly. He could feel the uprising fear within you and hushed you, when your stern gaze teared up.
,,There there. You don’t think I brought you here to kill you don’t you? No I want you to join me.’’ Your master said but you turned your head out of his grip.
,,Never. That’s not right, you killed all of us. Our friends. You’re not the master I knew back then.’’ you said tearing up, when your words left your mouth, but Obi Wan stopped your crying. He got down on his knees for you and guided your face back to him again, now more forcefully when you fought against his will.
All those touches felt so forbidden, when you were his padawan he would always keep his professional distance to you. And now he manhandled you just how he wanted, his thumb traced around your lips and he looked at you as if you were a fruit he was about to try. But then he focused again.
,,I fear you’re wrong there, that’s me without any strings attached anymore. Don’t think ill of me please. I sacrificed all of those people that could forbid our love. Don’t you think I haven’t noticed your feelings towards me? I can still feel them now after all this time and it makes me the luckiest man knowing some things haven’t changed between us.’’ Obi Wan said, both of his hands caressed your face like he finally held a trophy in his hands. He savored every second where he could finally touch you. His smiling face left your eyes and wandered over your entire frame for a brief moment.
So all this time he loved you just as you loved him and you were the reason he had turned to the dark side. This was too much for you, your cried out in disbelieve, full of shame.
,,My sweet Y/N don’t cry please I-‘’ said Obi Wand but you couldn’t take it.
,,No! I don’t want to hear it. I will never join you. Not like this.’’ Your voice was strict but your last words felt bittersweet to yourself.
,,My my,I have to say I’m impressed. Holding onto your believes just like we had thought you back then. But you were also so good at following my orders, always so keen on pleasing me, why you have to fight back? Now where there is nothing between us finally. Let go Y/N, you did such a good job.’’ Said your master and you did as you were told. His sweet voice and his demanding grip on you made you weak, only the shame within you held you back. ,,Just give it a taste.’’ Said Obi Wan, almost rather to himself.
His lips pressed softly against yours testing the waters while finally taking control of you. Obi Wans heart raced with pride when he could feel eventually how your lips eagerly followed his movements, making your lips crash together again and again, slowly making you follow his path. He knew how innocent and pure you were but he also knew how he could bend you to his will and now was finally the time. Soft whimpers escaped your mouth when your master became more eager with you. His tongue explored your mouth, savoring your taste and humming approvingly while urging you to become just as curious about your new freedom. With an easy gesture he opened up your handcuffs before his hands roamed around your thighs. You could even feel how you almost instinctively drew closer to him, his hands dragging you carefully towards his lap. But even though this new closeness did things to you, you were still conflicted. Your moans became whimpers again, that Obi Wan tried to hush with wet kisses and soft words regaining your attention. ,,It’s alright Y/N. Just let go for me. Just focus on me.’’
The conflict within you wasn’t solved with Obi Wan’s kisses, quite the opposite.
,,I- I can’t.’’ you managed to say between heavy breathing when you pulled you upper body away from him but without much success. His lips pressed hungry kisses down your jaw and neck while you tried to convince him to stop, not paying attention to you.
,,Still acting so innocent as if you’re not taking part in this. I think you know how much you have me under control as well. And I think you just need some last convictions.’’ Said Obi Wan.
With that he bound your hands behind your back again as you could feel when you wanted to reach out to stop him from tearing your legs apart while he tore of your clothes off. With no further hesitation his lips crashed on your sensitive skin between your thighs. You wanted to scream but you couldn’t breathe properly. Those new feelings and those dirty sounds that came from your master made your cheeks turn hot.
,,Don’t tell me you’re not enjoying this. You might hold onto those foolish Jedi believes but your body tells me otherwise.’’ said Obi Wan before diving back in. His arms were tightly wraped around your legs while his tongue licked your clit forcefully and slowly enough to watch you while doing it, he wanted to force you into your pleasure. He was your master after all and wanted just the best for you. And he could get lost in your sweet taste and your even sweeter noises. The vibration of his deep moans made your eyes roll back. But this situation wasnt just for your pleasure. Obi Wan had dreamed of this for so long now. He could feel your will started to break.
He could feel you were close. Searching for more friction your legs trashed around in your masters grip where he pressed them reassuringly,your release would come, if you would give in.
,,Just let go for me Y/N. I just need you as you need me. Let me be your master again, your lover, your husband either way I just need to be with you.’’ Obi Wan said, open mouth kisses were trailed along your inner thighs. The mixed wetness felt cold against your skin. Your former master proved his point when he shoved a finger inside you, having you desperately clench around him. Your eyes were zoned out from the overstimulating feelings. Your mouth hanging wide open but no words left you this time. He had you right were he needed you, no thinking anymore just feeling.
,,Come on my sweet just give in to me. Show me you allow me to take care of you.’’ His words and skilled fingers were too much.
First it was just a weak nod, but Obi Wan wanted to hear it from you. And he waited patiently, observing your inner fight with amusment and pity that he was about to win. He understood your dilema,you have always been loyal to the Jedi codex. But you would soon remember who your real master is and learn to follow him again.At last when you said that you were his he finally gave you your release.
With a smug grin Obi Wan looked at your broken figure that belong to him now. You looked so adorable when you were worn out by him, waking the urge in him to comfort you.
He scooped you up into his arms before he straightened himself up. Searching for more closeness you twisted your hands in his dark robes, leaning your head against his chest, finally having his familiar scent in your nose. It reawakened old good memories, reminding you why you fell in love with him.
,,The Empire is still hunting all of you. Why do you think I was so eager to find you first? No one touches you my love. Not while you are with me.’’ he said while carrying you to his bed and laid you down on it. You had no idea if Obi Wan wanted you to become a Sith as well or if he just wanted you to stay in his chambers, you were just to tired to think this through. Right now you needed some rest and comfort.
To your surprise you could once again feel how your hands were bound together when Obi Wan positioned you on his sheets, still standing behind you, eyeing you up with pure obsession. His gloves traced along your neck and back before he got a harsh grip around your hips.
,,But first I think I’m the one now who needs some last convictions.’’ He hummed to himself.
a/n: in celebration of obi-wan kenobi premiering today, i had to write a one shot for him! this was written beforehand, so it doesn’t contain any spoilers for the series (it’s only a little inspired by the trailer). i can’t believe we finally get to see him again, i’m utterly excited and can’t wait to get my heart ripped out!!! </3
warnings: angst, mentions of death
universe: star wars
Tumblr media
The strong wind whirls up the desert sand, sending it flying through the air and limiting your view to just a few meters in front of you. You squint through the desert planet’s barren landscape, your face completely wrapped in fabric except for a small slit for your eyes, shielding you from the swirling sand. With your robes in shades of brown, you become one with the desert.
Of course nobody on Tatooine is stupid enough to venture outside the protective walls of the cities, despite the desert storm warning – nobody but you. Most of the residents who saw you leave, wanted to stop you, and warned you, but you shook them off, asking them not to worry and that you know what you are doing. You have a mission and not even the strongest storm will thwart it.
However, you may have miscalculated a bit and the storm hit you earlier than you expected, surprising you on your way to your intended destination. Because you can hardly see anything and at the same time have lost sight of the horizon, you are slowly losing your sense of orientation. Due to the heavy sandstorm, your map reader does not work, - it did not show you much anyway since you cannot even enter your destination – which makes it almost impossible for you to survive this night in the desolated desert. Nevertheless, you have survived so much worse. Years ago, just like today, every day is a pure struggle for survival.
And if you had not suddenly arrived in front of a massive stone wall at that moment, then maybe one of the moisture farmers would have found you out here after several days, lifeless, but finally one with the Force. Breathing out in relief against the fabric that covers both your mouth and the rest of your body, you touch the wall with your gloved hands and immediately lean against it, in exhaustion as well as in utter relief. For as soon as your fingertips slid over it, a familiar impulse shot through you, caused by the Force, telling you that you had indeed reached your final destination at that moment.
Giving yourself one last pull, pushing yourself off the wall, your legs aching and your body activating its last reserves, you orientate yourself along the stone wall of the mountain. It does not take long for you to start climbing a steep gradient, but at least the visibility is clearer near the mountain, so you do not immediately fall to your certain death. You will not fail on the last few meters.
With your last remaining strength, you heave yourself up a border before realizing you are at a hidden cave entrance. The entrance you have only seen once before, all those years ago when the twin suns, stand at the zenith high above you. Now, eerie sounds caused by the strong wind howl from inside the cave that lies before you in total darkness.
However, you do not let that stop you and carefully step into the darkness, to which your already irritated eyes first have to get used to. Every step you take, no matter how careful you place your foot down on the stoned floor, reverberates in the narrow corridor. Eventually you reach the cave itself, which rises a few meters above you and ends in an opening at the top that allows light to banish the darkness inside during the day. By now your eyes have adjusted and you can clearly make out the outlines of some objects in the cave when you suddenly hear a cracking sound, right next to your ear. Then, you feel the barrel of a blaster pressing against the back of your head.
Holding your breath, you freeze on the spot.
“What do you want?!”, a voice, loud and angry, yells, but it triggers so much more inside of you than you could have ever imagined. He is alive.
“Don’t shoot! It’s me”, you choke out in a hoarse voice. “Y/N.”
You sense the brief hesitation, but the next moment the deadly weapon moves away from you while you are turned around your own axis all of a sudden, getting caught in a pair of strong arms that wrap around your body. You return the hug like your life depends on it while he hugs you like it is the first and last time in his life.
“I can’t believe it”, he whispers softly against your neck, his breath penetrating even through the layered fabrics to your skin. His hands dig into the fabric of your robe as if he never wants to let go of you again, as if all your problems could vanish at once. His words, his voice, bring tears to your own eyes.
It has been so long since you last heard it, let alone saw him. All contact is prohibited, even now, for good reasons. It is far too risky, far too dangerous. Until now, you have always been able to stick to the rules, not wanting to risk anything, but at some point even your strong will gets broken.
“What- What are you doing here, Y/N?”, he asks you now, his voice just as calm and decisive as you remember it. Now, however, doubt resonates with his words. Although you can barely see him, you know how he is looking at you in that moment. Worried, but also upset.
“Obi-Wan, I was so scared”, you admit, brushing away a tear rolling down your cheek with your sleeve before it can be soaked up by the material covering your face. “There were.. rumours. The Empire executed a Jedi, here on Tatooine. I am- I thought maybe-”
“I am fine, Y/N”, he soothes your worries and helps you free your face from the layers of fabric, his hand lovingly cupping your cheek for a brief moment, his thumb tenderly caressing your skin.
“You shouldn’t be here”, he suddenly says, cold and emotionless, letting go of you as he goes to the back corner of the cave, where it seems he has set up his camp for every night. You follow him in silence and watch as he lights a small fire on the ground.
“They found one of us, Obi-Wan. How can you-”
“Please don’t call me that”, Obi-Wan interrupts quietly, his face now lit by the small flame. For the first time you can see him more closely and how he has changed over the years, yet still looks the same. Small wrinkles have formed on his face that were not there before, his beard and hair are longer, outgrown, but most of all his eyes radiate an incredible sadness. “The name only brings up bad memories.”
“For many it is a sign of hope, the name of a true warrior”, you reply reluctantly, even though you know exactly how much pain and suffering the broken man in front of you has already endured in his short life span. He has lost everything and yet he is still sitting here in front of you, alive.
“That was a long time ago. Obi-Wan Kenobi is just a legend, the new generation will not remember him. Ben, however, is an old hermit hiding in a cave in the mountains of Tatooine who has almost given up his life”, he murmurs in a strained voce, not wanting to believe his own words coming from his mouth.
“That is not true”, you answer, sitting down next to him on the makeshift bed, gently stroking your hand over his shoulder. “Ben Kenobi has a much more important mission than Obi-Wan ever had.”
The cracking of the meanwhile larger fire fills the cold cave, otherwise there is silence. The sandstorm raging outside can only be heard faintly, the thick rock walls insulating the noise from outside very well. Realizing he will not answer you anymore and is now busy cooking something over the fire, you let your eyes wander around his new home for the first time.
Objects, some of which you recognize, some of which are completely unknown, lie on several boxes scattered around the whole cave. On a box you can see two smaller, long caskets and you know what is inside right away, which is why you suddenly become very aware of the lightsaber that is attached to you beneath your robe. Next to one of these boxes, white armor peeks out from under a dark sheet, a special armor from ancient times long past.
“How is she?”, Ben finally breaks the silence, probably noticing what your gaze stopped on. His question makes you smile slightly as you focus your attention back on the fire in front of you.
“She is doing very good. Yesterday she found out about the three challenges of the body, mind, and heart, in order for her to be able to take her mother’s place as queen one day”, you say happily, seeing the image of her smiling in your head, how interested and curious she has become over the last few months. “She is a curious little girl, but also very strong-willed. She will be a good future leader for Alderaan.”
“I am relived to hear that”, Ben nods absently, still watching the flames. As you narrated, you caught a glimpse of the corners of his mouth lifting out of the corner of your eye. But sadness quickly overtook his face again.
“And how is he? What is he doing?”, you ask, also interested in the fate of the little boy.
“You will not believe it, but just this morning I happened to see him pretending to drive a Podracer”, he replies, somewhat amused, eliciting a small chuckle from you. You both perfectly know who he reminds you of, but you keep quiet about it, for your own sake.
“He is a kind boy, always willing to help. But he also has big dreams”, Ben laughs out humorlessly, shaking his head as he thinks about it, handing you a plate with the finished meal. “After they executed the Jedi in front of the residents of Mos Eisley, there was a lot of turmoil. Owen made it clear again that I am not wanted here.”
His words leave you speechless for a moment. While you are close friends with the royal family of Alderaan, the most neutral and peaceful planet in the galaxy, making your mission a whole lot easier, you cannot imagine how he must be feeling. Stranded on the most isolated, desolate planet, with little contact to anyone, and when he does contact with someone, he gets looks. He is only allowed to watch his protégé from afar as he grows up. He is always there for him as his protector, his saviour, although the boy does not even know about him being here.
He could have been the Jedi that was executed, and this realization hits you twice as hard, making your heart ache.
“Everything you ever did was to protect your loved ones, Ben. It is not your fault”, you assure him, knowing full well that he has always blamed himself for the terrible suffering of the galaxy, the sound of his name feeling intimate on your tongue. “Believe me, Owen knows that. He is just trying to protect his family, like you do.”
“You are probably right..”, he finally agrees, his eyes sparkling for a brief moment as he looks at you. “The fight is done. We lost.”
“The fight is never done, Ben. As long as we live, we will continue to fight, to strive for peace in the galaxy. We have a task, and I will not give up until I have fulfilled it”, you encourage him, smiling a little, which makes him seem happier as well.
“Between darkness and defeat, hope survives.”
Your relationship with Obi-Wan Kenobi had died with the Jedi Order.
The end of your relationship had been beautifully in sync with the start of your relationship, in the sense that it had been out of necessity and a little for your own soundness of mind. It was clear from the start that Kenobi was essential in your life if you wanted to stay sane. He was grounded and smart, which was a beautiful contrast to your haywire, rebellious ways. So you became friends. And then you found that being friends wasn't really an option, because you loved him and couldn't really live without him. You hadn't expected to find the love of your life in the very place that forbade such a thing, but you would come to learn that the universe wasn't really fair. Still though, it hadn't felt completely and entirely cruel when Obi-Wan affirmed that he felt the same way about you. Thus, triggering the beginning of the most intensely passionate and beautiful five years of your life.
Obi-Wan wasn't a man who did things by halves. In fact, he did them tenfold or he didn't do them at all. That meant that he absolutely carried you through the worst of times and the best of times. He made you feel things you hadn't thought possible: like heaven was right there in the Jedi Temple. Sneaking around and lying to the Council got a little difficult at times, but all it took was one look at him and you knew in your soul that it was worth it. All those whispered conversations of leaving the Order together and having a future, a real future, were the only thing that got you through the war. They'd been nothing but a fantasy at the time.
You still remembered how it felt to see him after Order 66. The comms systems had fallen completely and you had no clue if he was alive. It was too hard to concentrate and reach out over the Force. Those hours had been gruelling.
You'd seen Obi-Wan for the first time aboard Bail Organa's ship. You'd never seen him move so quickly; he took you up in his arms, pulled you into chest and just held you for a moment. Neither of you said anything. Neither of you had to. Amongst the grief and loss, you felt a sense of relief. It was hard to say you'd lost everything when you still had him.
At least you thought. Because by that point, it was beyond dangerous for two Jedi to stay together. There was a galaxy wide manhunt for every remaining knight but especially Obi-Wan. His leading part in this entire thing basically put a target on his back and that was enough danger for one person, let alone two. The Empire would have struck gold if they found you together.
Your only option - and the only way to survive - was to go your separate ways. It hurt. It hurt a lot. Mostly because a small part of you had hoped that those silly fantasies about a future together might finally pay off now that the Order was gone. But, like I said: the universe was cruel. Far crueller than you ever expected it to be.
The only thing that kept you going after your separation was his promise to you.
"I'll never love anyone the way I love you."
Obi-Wan was to go to Tatooine and you were to go Alderaan. Your names would be wiped from the records; you'd be given new identities, new stories, new everything. You owed Bail Organa your life for offering to help you out.
Saying goodbye hurt you in a way you couldn't quite explain. The first few weeks without him were even worst: you could no longer reach out to him when your nightmares sank in during the late hours. There were no blue eyes to open up to; no-one to say sweetheart, don't be stupid every time you were about to make an irrational decision. It was like you were two parts of a whole and now Obi-Wan was gone, the logical part of your mind had gone completely.
Maybe that was why you fell into bounty hunting. The danger and adrenaline wasn't that far off from your days as a Jedi. It paid well and no-one hunting the Jedi would ever think to look in the dingy bars and cantinas of downtown Alderaan. It worked in a way you hadn't expected. Not enough to make you feel as whole as you had at the Temple with Obi-Wan, but just enough so that you could feel yourself moving on.
Obi-Wan's words rung through your brain every night for the next five years. I'll never love anyone the way I love you.
Time passed and you had flings here and there; a few dates that a mutual friend set you up, a brief dalliance with a fellow bounty hunter, yada, yada, yada. None it counted for anything. It was all a desperate attempt to find a connection again. There came a point where it felt like your ability to love another person lived and died with Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Five years after the fall of the Galactic Republic, you took a job in Tatooine. There was a complete disconnect in your mind between the desert planet and Obi-Wan living there. Hell, you didn't know if he was still there. You didn't even know if he was still alive. It had been a good two years since you’d had any updates from him. The Organas had made a point of updating you at first, but that had faded along with your contact with them. Reminders of your former life weren’t what you needed anymore.
Tatooine was dry. It was dusty and it was sandy and it was fucking dry. There was no guarantee that the quarry you were after was even there. Mos Eisley wasn’t exactly a small spaceport; it was packed with different shops and stalls and clustered with people. That made it the least ideal place to try and hunt someone down.
You elbowed your way through the crowds in the main square, eyes peeled for the quarry. Your hood was up around your head - half to protect you from the sun, but also half to hide your face. There had been whispers over the last few weeks of an Empire presence here. Even though Jabba the Hutt apparently ruled the place, it wasn’t completely unheard of for the Imps to be sniffing around everywhere.
Hooking a right, you turned the corner from the main square and into one of the smaller streets. You almost instantly collided with a girl; you let out an oof! as you fell on your ass, a cloud of dust evaporating around your form as you hit the ground. She took a step back and held out her hand.
“I am so sorry!” she exclaimed.
“No, it’s my fault-”
“- oh, darling. Are you running into people again?”
You froze. You actually fucking froze. That was a voice you would have recognised anywhere - even more so because he’d said that phrase to you a thousand times before. It was always oh darling, are you running into people again? or how did you not see the wall, my love? or just…something about how fucking clumsy you were. Obi-Wan had found it endearing.
You heard his voice and then his face came into view. He didn’t look that different - his hair was a little longer and his beard more jagged, but his blue eyes caught yours and immediately you knew it was Obi-Wan Kenobi. Undeniable and in the flesh. Calling another person sweetheart. He took a step towards her and put an arm on her waist, hand resting on her hip. That was how he used to hold you. Fucking ouch.
He hadn’t noticed you. Not yet.
“Oh hush, Ben,” she smiled, and then looked back at you. “I am genuinely sorry. You’re not hurt, are you?”
Not physically. Haha.
“No, not at all,” you cleared your throat.
Obi-Wan glanced from the girl and towards you - then you shared the same look. It was like seeing a ghost from his past. Actually, you were a ghost from his past. He’d tried so hard for so long to shove you to the back of his mind and move on. It was only in the last few years that he’d succeeded. He should have known that you were going to turn up out of nowhere and blow everything apart. You’d done it once before. Why not again?
He didn’t know what to say. That was ironic, because he’d spent hours laying awake at night thinking about the speech he would give you if you ever turned up again. It was gone now. And so it seemed had his ability to speak.
Neither of you knew how to play it. Did you pretend you were strangers, for the sake of the girl in front of you? The girl, who in your opinion, looked at him a little too much like you used to. With some kind of admiration and hope. Like Obi-Wan Kenobi hung the stars in the sky and wrote out the constellations just for you. To her, it seemed he was Ben. You didn’t who the fuck Ben was. Moreso, you didn’t know who the fuck this girl was.
“Ben, is it?” you asked. Okay, you were going with playing dumb. “Are you guys locals?”
“I am!” the girl piped up. “Born and raised, sadly. Ben here moved to the port a few years ago. I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before.”
“I’m…here on business,” you trailed off. “I’m just looking for a hotel, actually. It’s getting dark and I don’t fancy staying on my ship all night. If you guys could just give me directions, I’ll be on my way and-”
You didn’t want to be on your way. You had a thousand questions to ask; some about Kenobi, some about the relationship he seemingly had with this girl. Neither of those things were your business. Your relationship with him had ended half a decade ago. It was just that promise of I’ll never love anyone like I love you that rang through your head. It would have been easier to believe he didn’t look at her the same fucking way he once looked at you.
“The hotels here are extortionate,” she said. “Ben has a spare room. He’s always letting travellers crash there. I’m sure he won’t mind if you stay the night.”
Spoiler alert: he did mind. And you minded too. You minded even more than his name was seemingly Ben now. You knew it mostly for safety, so that the Imps couldn’t find him, but he was always Obi-Wan in your mind. Nothing would ever change that.
“It’s okay,” you insisted. “I really don’t mind paying. Besides, I’m just a stranger and-”
“- nonsense!” she cut you off. “You don’t seem like an axe murderer.”
To Obi-Wan, you were arguably much worse than an axe murderer.
“Uh,” he stuttered. He couldn’t say no - the girl clearly had him wrapped around her finger. “I don’t see why not.”
You gave him a look that said think, Kenobi. Think of a single fucking reason.
Still, he had nothing.
“Great,” you murmured.
The girl leant down and picked up the bags that you’d dropped earlier. She was nice. Too nice. Not only did that make it harder to dislike her, but it made you think that things between them must have been boring. Your entire relationship with Obi-Wan had been built on the fact that you were chaotic as fuck and he was the calm one. You’d ruined his life in the best way.
You spent the rest of the afternoon traipsing after the couple through the Mos Eisley markets. They were together - you could decipher that much. The girl seemed grabbier than him but you couldn’t decipher if it was always that way, or if Obi-Wan was just playing it down because you were there.
It killed both of you not being able to talk about the things you needed, or to say the things you needed to. There was so much unspoken tension in the air and it was a surprise that his lover hadn’t picked up on it. She seemed completely clueless, from the minute she invited you to stay in his spare room, to the minute she kissed him goodbye and retired back to her own house for the night.
That left you and Kenobi in his converted cave, sat in silence until the door slammed shut and you both jumped into action. Naturally, you were the first to speak.
“What the fuck is going on?”
“I could ask you the same,” Obi-Wan shot back. “What are you doing here?”
“I wasn’t lying earlier when I said I was on business,” you said. “I followed a bounty here. I didn’t expect to run into you. To be honest, I wasn’t even sure if you were alive.”
“I am - just about,” he murmured. “I could say the same for you.”
“I wouldn’t call this just about,” you replied, glancing around. “Obi-Wan, who is Ben?”
“Ben is the name I took upon arriving here,” he explained. “Obi-Wan Kenobi is no more. He’s dead. He had to die.”
“He’s not dead,” you shook your head. “I’m looking right at him, aren’t I?”
“Not quite.”
“Oh, don’t give me that,” you scoffed. “I recognised you straight away. I can see it in your eyes - the way you look around when you think you see danger, that inquisitive glance towards the crowds, the way you hold yourself. You can change your name all you want but nothing will change the fact that you are Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
“You haven’t changed one bit.”
“You have, though,” you muttered. “With your new house, and job, and girlfriend-”
“- don’t be like that,” Obi-Wan cut you off. “I had to make a life for myself here. I didn’t know what I’d see you again-”
“- I’m not being like anything,” you rolled your eyes. “I just…do you remember that last promise you made to me before we broke up?”
He nodded. “Clear as day. I promised you that I would never love someone as much as I love you - and I’ve kept that promise.”
“I don’t think you have,” you shook your head. “I’ve seen the way you look at her. You love her. I’m not fucking blind.”
Obi-Wan stood up and crossed the room to where you were standing. It felt weird to be near you again. He wanted nothing more than to reach out and hug you; it’s what he’d been craving for yours. Not just someone’s touch, but your touch. You’d been a pillar in his life and now that you were gone, he’d felt everything crumbling down to the very core.
“Maybe some part of me was just hoping that you’d wait for me,” you murmured. “I know it’s ridiculous. I just think that you might be the very best thing that ever happened to me and even when you’re gone, I’m still foolish enough to cling onto hope.”
“It was circumstantial,” he began. “She lives three doors down. We met and we got on and it made sense for us to start dating. You can see that my life here is a little lacklustre. I thought it might bring excitement.”
“Did it?”
Obi shook his head. “Not in the slightest. She’s nice but she doesn’t get me the way you did. I don’t think anyone ever will - so I might look at her with affection but I can assure you that I will never love anyone the way I love you.”
Love. In the present tense. Not the past. The Jedi were in the past. The Republic was in the past. Everything was in the past. But seemingly, not his love for you, nor your love for him. It might have been dormant for a while but it was bright as day now you were together.
“I’ve spent the last five years chasing a feeling that I can only get with you,” he continued. “Whatever mixture of stress, excitement and terror that may be.”
“Me too,” you said. “Moving on is hard.”
“It is insufferable,” Obi-Wan replied. He took your hands, thumbs ghosting over the back of your palm. “But you have to understand, my love, that moving on is sometimes not a choice so much it is a necessity.”
“I know,” you murmured. “It’s still not safe for us to be together, is it?”
“It’s not,” he confirmed. “And even if it was, what we had is no more. I will undoubtedly take your love with me into the future but our relationship belongs in the past.”
“Right,” you nodded. “Right person, wrong time, I guess.”
“No, not at all - you’re the right person. All the time.”
Prompt - ‘And I can go anywhere I want, anywhere I want, just not home.’
Requsted - Yes - @fandomtrashwhore 🤎
You had been fighting in the Clone Wars for a long time now, in that time you had been mad, you had felt anger for all the men lost, all the civilians used and left without anything, you had felt rage at the helpless feeling, at how it seemed the war would never end. In the years of the Clone Wars you had felt a lot of emotions, intense and overwhelming ones, but never anything like this.
You were seething, it felt like white hot anger was running through your whole body, lighting you up, and you couldn’t let it show, not whilst you stood before the Council, not as you listened to them debate your future before you. They spoke freely, murmuring to each other about your actions, about attachments and your anger, how your path had become clouded with the Dark Side.
You wanted to laugh, you wanted to cry, you wanted to let the Force break out from where you were barely containing it and let it wreak havoc on the room as you stood there. You had pleaded with them, Force had you pleaded with them to hear you out but they weren’t listening. It was like their minds were already made up on the matter and they had just been waiting for you to mess up.
The worst part of this whole trial was that the one person you wanted to be on your side hadn’t even opened his mouth. Your eyes were locked onto Obi-Wan but he refused to look up at you, refused to meet your gaze and that might have hurt more than any punishment the Jedi Council could give you.
You and Obi-Wan had been close friends for years but with the war you had been partnered together, working closely side by side, fighting together and having each other's back every day.
It was no wonder you fell in love with the man.
You kept your feelings to yourself at first though because while you may not have cared much for certain ways of the Jedi, you knew Obi-Wan believed in the ways and you never wanted to put him in a position where he would have to choose between you or the Jedi, not when you knew you wouldn’t stand a chance against the Order.
That was until you had been captured and tortured, you couldn’t have said at the time just how long you’d been gone for, to you it had felt like years but Obi-Wan had told you, with tear filled eyes, that you’d be gone for a number of weeks.
When Obi-Wan had come for you all you could do was collapse into his arms, not helping him as he led you back to the ship and barely remembering him getting you to the medbay. The next time you opened your eyes the pain had lessened and Obi-Wan was sitting at your side, his hand in yours and that feeling, the feeling of his thumb brushing softly against you was enough to erase any remaining pain away.
It was a long journey back to Coruscant and you were only stuck in the medbay for the night before you received the all clear from the medical droid with orders to rest for a few days. Despite the clearance Obi-Wan insisted you share his room on the ship with him so he could watch over you.
You had hardly protested, unwilling to give up a night or two sharing a bed with Obi-Wan. In those two days everything between you seemed to shift, the whispered words in the middle of the night, Obi-Wan holding you close whilst he murmured how brave you were, the overwhelming fear he’d felt when he lost you.
Obi-Wan knew he could no longer deny his feelings for you, he’d always known but he tried desperately to shove them down, to ignore it because that was the Jedi way. Attachments were forbidden but with you gone he realised that was too late, he was already attached to you. He couldn’t stop himself, not when you looked up at him, looking at him like he was the only person in the galaxy.
He cupped your cheek and brushed his lips against yours, softly at first to give you a chance to pull away but it didn’t take long for the kiss to turn hungry and desperate, both of you making up for lost time as you clung to each other.
When you eventually pulled away Obi-Wan had tried to apologise, stammering out an explanation but for as legendary as he was with his words this time he could come up with nothing to say.
Whatever stuttered words Obi-Wan had managed to get out were cut off by you shushing him with another kiss before you both pulled away, Obi-Wan leaning his forehead against yours as he looked at you in wonderment.
Somehow you had been able to convince Obi-Wan that this was a good idea, whatever relationship came from these kisses would be good. You could both keep it away from the Council, keep it just yours and make sure it didn’t interfere with your jobs. Obi-Wan had nodded along with your words and let the relationship continue.
That had all been just over a year ago and now you were standing before him as the other Master’s held the fate of your future in their hands. You hardly recognised the man, not right now when he wouldn’t even meet your eyes.
He was the whole reason the Council was debating anyway. They had given you an order, Obi-Wan had been sent on a solo mission with half of the 212th whilst you were needed in another battle with the remaining battalion.
Mid battle you felt a shift in the Force and it wasn’t long after one of the clones had told you they heard through the comms that Obi-Wan had been taken. You hadn’t even waited for him to finish speaking, taking one of the smaller ships and a small squadron you left the battle and the planet behind, uncaring that it was an important battle, uncaring that winning it would gain the Republic a key partner and planet in the war.
You didn’t care, the Separatists could have the planet, they could have all the towns they’d burnt down, the only thing that mattered to you was Obi-Wan.
It hadn’t taken long for the Council to find out you had abandoned your post and were heading towards Rigantu. They had immediately demanded your presence through the comms and you cleared the room before connecting with them.
“The Battle on Creanti is too important, Y/L/N. We cannot risk it staying in Separatists hands, we need that planet.” Master Windu told you like one might talk to a child.
“And what of Obi-Wan? What are your plans for him? I’m the closest person to Rigantu, you know that as well as I do!” You snapped, sick of going round in circles with the Council.
“Obi-Wan will be fine, you can rescue him after you have completed your mission on Creanti.” Master Windu stressed and you chuckled humorlessly, the last time you had spoken to Obi-Wan he looked terrible but assured you he could last until you arrived.
You had been taken and tortured so long ago and Obi-Wan hadn’t hesitated to come for you, you were going to do the same whether the Council approved or not.
“It could be too late after my mission, Master.” You hissed the word, your tone full of venom and you watched as Master Windu’s eyes narrowed at you before he and Master Yoda were sharing a look.
“Forbidden from going to Rigantu, you are.” Master Yoda said after a long pause of silence where the two Master’s held a silent conversation. “Go back to Creanti, you will.”
“You cannot stop me, Master.” You told them with a calmness you didn’t feel. “Punish me if you must but I’m not leaving him to die out there. Not Obi-Wan.”
With that you ended the comm call and made your way through the ship. It was only an hour long trip to reach Rigantu and you spent most of that time desperately trying to find even a sliver of Obi-Wan’s force signature but never did.
It was maddening.
Eventually you arrived on the planet and had the ship set down next to the palace. Through intercepting Separatist comms you had managed to find where Obi-Wan was being held.
You barked orders at the men, used the Force to cause so much destruction, walls were torn down, cliffs crumbled and you tossed droids around wildly, uncaring about anything other than getting Obi-Wan back.
Once you were in the palace you heard people gasping as you led a squadron through, not holding back as you marched ahead, making quick work of anyone who stood in your way.
From the room you knew Obi-Wan was being held in you could hear pained grunts and muffled sobs like he was trying not to give his torturer the satisfaction of knowing how badly he was being hurt but couldn’t stop the noises when the pain was too much.
You strode down the hallway, taking out the droids in a matter of seconds before your lightsaber pierced through the locked door and you cut a circle into the metal, stepping through the second the door fell to the floor.
The person torturing Obi-Wan looked like a doctor, a few Separatist leaders in the room but you didn’t spare them much of a look. You just wielded the Force until it felt like something you had never felt, whereas the Force was usually Light and easy to manipulate this time it felt heavy and Dark.
You didn’t care though, not when it had Obi-Wan’s torturers falling to their knees, choking for air as an invisible Force cut off their air supply. You kept moving even as you clenched your fist, making your way over to Obi-Wan and gasping at the sight of him.
He was black and blue with bruises, burns covering the skin you could see cuts littered on him. That was the final push you needed to clench your fist harder, hearing the collective struggles come to a stop.
“I’ve got you.” You murmured, quickly undoing his shackles and gesturing for the men to help you lift him.
It took a while to get to the ship, Obi-Wan was dead weight at that point but that didn’t matter, he was still breathing even if they were shallow.
You could see Obi-Wan’s ship and made your way over to that, knowing there were med droids on board that you needed to get Obi-Wan to.
From there everything had been a blur, Obi-Wan was unconscious the whole journey back to the Temple but the med droid assured you he was stable, you were ripped away from him the moment your ship landed. Masters Windu and Yoda were waiting for you and told you that you were to stay in your quarters until they called you before the Council.
The days drove you mad, nobody would tell you anything, droids brought you meals and you weren’t allowed to see anyone. You were scared for Obi-Wan, all you wanted to know that he was ok.
The next time you saw him was when the Jedi Council convened and called you before them, which brought you to now. Obi-Wan looked better than he had the last time you had seen him, from what little you could see with the robe covering so much and his refusal to meet your eye.
Finally, after what seemed like a lifetime, Master Yoda cleared his voice and the room went silent. You could only look at him as you waited for the verdict.
“Punished, you will be.” Master Yoda said after a pause of silence, “To be expelled from the Jedi Order, you are.”
The words had barely left his mouth before you let out a slightly maniacal laugh, his words ringing in your ears as you stared down at him, shaking your head in disbelief.
“You’re throwing me out? I saved Obi-Wan’s life, you saw him, he wouldn’t have lasted as long as you wanted to wait! I saved him and you’re punishing me for it!” You exclaimed, jutting your chin out as Master Windu levelled you a cold hard look, one that would usually have you falling silent and complying with whatever order you’d been given but you figured there was little you could do to change their minds so what did you have to lose. “Surely you can see how ridiculous this is. We’re fighting a war, we need all the help we can get!”
“Trusted, you no longer are. Go, you will.” Master Yoda told you and you shook your head again.
You could have just walked away, the decision was made and you knew once the Council had decided on a matter that was it, really you should have left with grace and your dignity but you didn’t care for that.
There was only one thing you cared about and he was keeping his mouth firmly shut.
“You’re not even going to speak in my favour,” You laughed bitterly, finally addressing the man you loved, the man you were getting thrown out of the Order for. “I saved your life and you won’t say a word.”
Obi-Wan finally glanced up at you, a guilty, broken look on his face. He opened his mouth as if to say something but was cut off by Master Yoda clearing his throat causing Obi-Wan to look down. When you glanced over at Master Yoda you saw the mistrusting look on his face but it was gone just as quick as he turned to you and gestured towards the door.
“I have given my life to this Order!” You exclaimed, the rage you felt was unbearable, it felt like it was burning you from the inside out. “I followed your commands and played by your foolish rules for years and this is what I get! If this is the future then I sure as hell am not rooting for your success against the Separatists, you’re all as bad as each other.”
With that you turned on your heels, using the Force that was bubbling with anger to slam the doors open, the sound echoing around the chambers, before you stormed out with your head held high.
You went back to your rooms, the second the door slammed shut behind you, you let the rage explode, the Force spreading across the room just as Dark and angry as you felt and destroying everything around you. Everything that could break shattered, furniture, books, pictures, everything went flying leaving the room a mess and all you could do was scream, scream for the man that you loved more dearly than anything but who clearly didn’t love you back as much.
You don’t know how long you stayed there for, eventually falling to your knees but at some point you managed to pick yourself up off of the floor and packed a small bag. You didn’t know where you’d go, some outer rim planet perhaps, where you could lay low and decide what your next move was but you knew you had to be away from Coruscant.
So that’s what you did, you found a ship to a sleazy outer rim planet you had never even heard the name of and left Coruscant behind, looking out of the window and cursing the Order, cursing the man who hadn’t fought for you.
As you sat on the shuttle you felt a tear slide down your face but quickly wiped it away. Tears wouldn’t solve anything and you refused to cry over any of them, not when you had given your life to them and this is how you were repaid.
Your new life was…lonely. It was the only word for it but it was easy to turn that loneliness into pain and anger and feed the Darkness inside of you. Ever since the day you’d rescued Obi-Wan using means that weren’t Light you had grown obsessed with feeling the hum of the Dark Side, the anger you felt at the Order only made it easier to call upon the Darkness until you were wrapped around in it with no way out.
Even with this newfound Darkness growing inside you, dragging you further in with each new day, you could never shake your love for Obi-Wan. You’d tried to, Force knows it would have been easier if you could, but you’d never been able to turn your feelings for Obi-Wan off.
You still had plenty of old contacts, most still willing to talk to you as it seemed the Jedi Order were covering the fact you had been expelled, rumour has it they had told people you were on a top secret mission. You couldn’t help but laugh at that, they threw you out without a second thought but they were more than happy to cover up to make themselves look like the heroes.
Speaking of heroes, according to your contacts Obi-Wan was still playing the same unshakeable hero that everyone knew, still flying around the galaxy as he did whatever the Council asked of him. Here you were on some nowhere planet, life ruined and Obi-Wan was saving face so he could still be Jedi Master Kenobi.
You might still have loved the man but Force if it didn’t make you angry thinking about how Obi-Wan had refused to even stand up for you. The worst thing was you knew that if the situation was different, if it had been Obi-Wan stood up there alone and expelled from the Order, you knew you’d have stood from your chair and walked out with him. You’d have done that for him and he hadn’t even been able to look at you.
The anger you felt just continued to feed the Dark Side, before you knew it when you looked into the mirror you were staring at eyes you didn't recognise, they were yellow and angry.
This is what the Council had done to you.
Obi-Wan felt like he was losing his mind. He might have played the perfect soldier, continuing to go wherever the Jedi sent him, continuing to fight and win battles before readying himself for the next mission. He might have looked like the same person everyone had known before you left but he wasn’t.
He was constantly running on too little sleep. Whenever he did manage to drift off it wasn’t ever long before he woke with your name on his lips, dreams of you alone somewhere in the galaxy, dreams of you telling him how much you hated him. His waking hours weren’t much better, you seemed to be everywhere, he couldn’t escape you. He’d look out into a crowd and see your face in it, he could hear you whispering, taunting him as he did what was expected of him.
You truly were haunting his every waking and sleeping moment. He walked around with the weight of his regret on his shoulders every day, wishing things were different, wishing you had stayed, wishing he had gone with you.
He just wished everything was different.
It was a big galaxy, you could go anywhere you wanted now you were no longer a part of the Jedi Order. You had long since left that small planet and moved on to the next and when you tired of that you moved on. You could go wherever you wanted and yet you couldn’t go to the one place you wanted to be most: home.
You wanted to go home.
Not to Coruscant or the Temple, though that is where you have been since you were a child. No, home to you was wherever Obi-Wan was, it didn’t matter if it was some occupied Separatist planet or the Negotiator, wherever he was it always felt like home. It was the one place you wanted to be more than anything.
Now you were alone in the galaxy, moving from planet to planet with nothing but your anger keeping you going.
Obi-Wan couldn’t believe what he was hearing, standing before Master Yoda and Master Windu, both of their expressions deadly serious.
“I will not kill her.” Obi-Wan finally choked out, shaking his head in utter disbelief at what they were asking of him. “You cannot ask me to do that, Master. I won’t, despite all that has happened she is still my oldest and dearest friend.”
That’s not all you were of course, to Obi-Wan you were still his whole world, he still loved you more dearly than he had ever thought possible. He had his loyalties to the Order though, the Order he had sworn his very life to. He never wanted to have to choose between you or the Order, desperately believing he could keep the two apart but he should have known better really.
“The girl you knew is long gone, Obi-Wan. Our sources assure us she has fallen to the Dark Side and we need to stop her. We can’t have more Sith when we’re already struggling to fight this war.” Master Windu said coldly, showing no sympathy for Obi-Wan.
“Questioned, your loyalties are. Whispers of your attachments, there are.” Master Yoda said. “The Jedi Master you are, prove to us.”
“You question my loyalties? I let her go, did I not? Surely there is another way to prove myself, I cannot kill Y/N.” Obi-Wan pleaded, feeling his world giving out around him.
“Obi-Wan, we will not ask again.” Master Windu said as he pressed a chip into Obi-Wan’s hands. “This is where she is, go to her, do your mission and return to us. This is the only way to ensure victory for the Republic.”
Obi-Wan let out a shaky sigh, taking the chip from the other Jedi and turning to leave the room, missing the look shared between Masters Yoda and Windu.
By the time Obi-Wan found you you were already waiting for him, lightsaber in your hand but not yet lit. Obi-Wan made his way over to you with heavy feet before he stopped across from you.
From here he could see it was true, you really turned to the Dark Side, the Sith yellow eyes made him shudder as he recalled your Y/E/C eyes looking up into his, looking at him with such warmth that was missing now.
“They sent you to kill me.” You said by way of greeting and Obi-Wan nearly recoiled at the coldness in your tone.
“Stop this.” He pleaded with you, desperate for you to listen to him. “It doesn’t have to end this way, let me help you.”
“Help me?” You laughed darkly, the two of you know slowly walking in a circle around each other. “You had your chance to help me, Obi-Wan, all those months back and instead you sat there in silence as they decided my fate. This is my fate, this is what they made me.”
You lit your lightsaber and swung for him, Obi-Wan’s lightsaber igniting and crashing into yours. You were strong but Obi-Wan was able to throw you off him, pushing you to the side so you had to roll to stand back up just as he took his first swing.
It went on like that for a few minutes, the two of you fighting each other, such a stark contrast to the way you used to fight side by side.
“You can kill me, Obi-Wan.” You told him, your tone softer than it had been moments before and you took the way Obi-Wan paused to get another blow in before continuing. “But you will always miss me. You can lie to them, you can lie to yourself but you never could lie to me.”
Both your lightsabers smacked into each other again, Obi-Wan gaining the advantage as he pushed you down, managing to use the Force to kick your legs out from beneath you as he sent you to the floor.
“Stop this!” He pleaded with you but you still held firm, knowing you were stuck but pushing your lightsaber up into his anyway.
“You know, you used to tell me I was brave for fighting for what I believed in? I believed in us, I fought for that but you didn’t.” You hissed, the heat of the lightsaber so close to your face and the effort of fighting Obi-Wan caused sweat to pool on your forehead.
“Did I deserve any of this? What did I do that was so terrible?” You asked him desperately, feeling how he shuddered at your words. “They threw me out because of you because I chose to save you! I couldn’t let you die, Obi-Wan!”
“Y/N, you knew the Jedi’s rules on attachment, we both promised we wouldn’t do anything to make them aware of our relationship.” Obi-Wan told you and you used the new wave of anger to shove him away from you, rolling out from under him and getting back to your feet, wasting no time in bringing your lightsaber down on him.
“But they’re not aware, are they?” You hissed out as your lightsabers continued hitting into each other. “Because whilst I got dragged through the flames you sat there and kept silent!”
“Do you truly think I didn’t fight for you?” Obi-Wan yelled as he brought his lightsaber down on you, again gaining the upper hand and forcing you down, trapping you between a boulder and his lightsaber. “Y/N I spent more time than I could count pleading and bargaining with them.”
“And yet you never told them you were as attached as I am.” You forced out, straining against the weight of Obi-Wan’s lightsaber as it came closer. “Did I deserve this, Obi-Wan, all the hell the Order gave me?”
“I’m sorry.” Obi-Wan whispered, you could feel him shaking from where he was pining you in place and you took a deep breath.
Even now, even with everything the Order was making him do you knew he wouldn’t leave. You knew you’d never have the man you loved back, not when he was so blindly loyal to the Jedi Order.
“I love you, Obi-Wan, I swear I love you.” You whispered before using the Force to turn your lightsaber off, Obi-Wan’s immediately falling forward into you and as you faded you heard his cry.
Obi-Wan fell to his knees, pulling your body onto his lap as he cried for you, he cried for the way your story had ended, he cried and cursed and screamed at the sky until he was too numb for anything else.
Somehow he managed to drag himself up, he picked your body up, refusing to leave you behind on some planet, you deserved better than that.
You deserved better than it all.
It was only a few days later Obi-Wan was wrapping a warm cloak around his shoulders, pulling the hood up and remembering how you had been the one to gift it to him. He made his way through the Temple with his head down, Anakin and Ahsoka were at the main entrance waiting for him and he didn’t speak as the three of them walked together.
The room was filled with people, some were crying, many were clinging to each other and Obi-Wan felt his own composure slip as tears he had tried holding back slid freely down his cheeks.
He couldn’t bring himself to walk to the front of the room where your body lay, he couldn’t do it, he had already seen your dead body enough to haunt him for a lifetime and it did. Every time he closed his eyes he saw you dead in his lap, every time he tried to sleep he awoke after less than an hour, a curse and your name on his lips as he dreamed of Sith eyes that used to be so bright, he dreamt about your last words, the love confession that he never got to return.
He swore some days he could hear you when he was awake, the words echoing in his head. Some days it felt like you were taunting him, like today he could practically hear you asking why he was at your wake when he was the one who killed you.
He tried blaming the Order at first, Masters Yoda and Windu had been the ones to give the order but he was the one who followed it. He tried to blame you for leaving, for letting your anger turn to Darkness but he knew you weren’t to blame. He regretted not walking out with you that day.
He was so full of pain, drunk on it and desperately wished it would end but it never would, this was his punishment, to live with this pain. He was a shell of the man he once was, nothing more than a ghost anymore because it may have been you who had died, killed by his own hands, but you might as well have killed him too because he had died on that planet right alongside you.
Obi-Wan had tried to forget you, he tried to bury himself into the war efforts in an attempt to forget about all the good years the two of you had had together but it was no use.
You were always there with him, haunting him until the day he died.
Summary: (Doctor who x star wars crossover) R & the doctor travel to Coruscant where they stumble upon Obi Wan & Anakin. R & Obi Wan immediately hit it off. The day of order 66 comes leading the doctor and you to run for escape, but you wouldn’t. Not without Obi Wan. Trying to pursuade him to come along after finding him, you had set your hopes on a happy ending. Yet tempted, Obi Wan declines your offer, breaking your heart. Staying behind, you say farewells to your beloved doctor before reuniting with a shocked Obi Wan.
Tumblr media
The TARDIS found sturdy ground. Landing gently. You walked around the panel, closer to the doctor. – “So which planet are we?” – you asked, leaning against the panel. – “Give me a second Y/n.” – the doctor responded, pulling levers, and pushing buttons. He gestured for you to move an inch to the side. You stepped back allowing him to do whatever he needed to do. He flicked his finger against a screen that wasn’t functioning properly to his standards. Not wanting to wait any longer for an answer, you walked up to the door.
Opening it, you were greeted with a warm dessert wind. It made you cough, waving your hand before you. The doctor gave the screen a push, making it swing around for you to see. – “Coruscant!” – he exclaimed happily. – “So should I be worried or frightened of something?” – you responded, closing the door more. – “Not that I am aware off.”  he came running over, offering you, his arm. – “Makes it all the more fun.” – he gleamed with delight as you took his arm.
The dessert wind was strong. Knocking you almost out of balance. – “There’s nothing around!” – you shouted trying to look around. Nothing but dessert sand stretching far as the eye could see. Quirking your eyebrow up, you watched as the doctor held his finger up in the air. – “That way!” – he said pointing. Shrugging your shoulders, you followed him through the dessert.
Soon you were huffing and puffing to catch your breath. The extreme heat being a killer. Your ankles ached and you were sure you had been sweating. – “Are we there yet.” – you whined not sure how much longer you could get going. The doctor as chipper as ever, stared at the horizon, standing a bit on a sand hill. – “Come along Y/n! almost.” – he told you, jumping down the sand hill. You groaned irritated wondering why you ever left the cool TARDIS for this heat storm. – “I swear if I don’t get some water in the next five minutes, I’m going to murder someone.” – you breathed out, mouth as dry as the dessert.
“Just a bit further Y/n, chip up!” – the doctor said motioning for you to hurry up. – “Do not tell me to chip up!” – you replied frustrated, pushing through. You grunted half relieved, half in agony at the sight of a small town. – “Water!” – you called out kicking it up a notch. – “Y/n!” – the doctor had to run to keep up with you, waving his arms worriedly around. You slowed down in the town, looking curiously around.
The doctor grabbed you by the shoulder, staring as well. You gasped when an alien walked past you. It startled the doctor as well. – “Maybe we should return to the Tardis?” – you whispered to him. It seemed none of the alien types that walked the town seemed pleasant in any way. – “Maybe we should…” – the doctor replied with a nervous swallow.
The doctor was about to pull you along by your shoulders when your eyes caught a human walking out of a tent. A younger teen with him. It made you freeze, standing still in place to stare. – “Y/n come along, let’s go home… or visit the glorious days of Shakespeare.” – he told you, trying to move you. You wouldn’t staring to intensely at the human. Your eyes widened when the man caught up with your staring from afar. He held your gaze till he whispered something to the young man. You freaked out when he started to make his way over. Panicking you turned to the doctor. – “Please tell me I don’t look like a disaster.” – you asked him.
The doctor frowned, not understand why you wanted to know till he saw someone approach. – “I beg your pardon.” – the man spoke making you spin around to him, a plastered smile on your lips. – “I caught you from afar and it seemed like you could use a bit of assistance?” – he said, hands folded together. – “You sneaky little human.” – the doctor whispered in your ear. You chuckled nervously, pushing the doctor away from you. – “We just got here.” – you told him. – “and are clearly not from around here… I was wondering if you could give us directions to where we can find refreshments.” – you asked, hoping for the best. – “Of course.” – the man replied.
You started following him, seeing the doctor hold both his thumbs up over your shoulder. The three of you met up with the young teen, going inside an establishment. He gestured for you to take a seat while he would bring you drinks. It was a bit awkward, waiting at the table with the young teen around. The man reappeared giving you your drink first with a warm smile. You accepted it, noticing the doctor’s silly teasing expression in the corner of your eye. Elbowing him, you hoped he’s stop. – “So you must have been traveling long. Where did you park your spacecraft?” – he asked.
The doctor and you sharing a nervous glance. – “Uhm… up all the way in the dessert…” – you informed them. – “That far from the locals?” – he questioned. You hummed loud. – “Like I said… never been here before.” – you said nervously. – “Master excuse me for a moment.” – the young teen said, getting up. He nodded watching his padawan leave. The man’s eyes went from you to the doctor beside you. You could tell what was forming in his mind, putting an immediate stop to it. – “Friend!” – you blurted out. The man blinked surprised; the doctor staring confused at you. You laughed nervously, taking the doctor by his arm. – “He’s a friend…I’m Y/n.” – you said to redirect the focus on him. You held your hand out for him to shake. – “Obi Wan Kenobi.” – he answered, taking your hand as his left hand rested on your handshake. It made you look bashful down.
The doctor smiling giddy at you with a funny point at your cheeks. You slapped his hand away. Obi Wan and you continued to talk while the doctor looked full of wonder around the bar. All of you got up when the young teen named Anakin returned. – “We should head back master.” – Anakin said, leaning into Obi Wan. Obi Wan nodded, clearing his throat. – “Should we escort you back to your ship?” – he said ignoring the confused glance from his padawan. – “It might save you the trouble of walking all the way back…” – his gaze lingering on you. You smiled in return. – “She would be delighted.” – the doctor interfered with a smirk. Obi Wan gestured for you to lead the way.
You threw the doctor an irritated glance without the others seeing. Obi Wan and you walked beside each other, chatting. A strong wind picked up as it knocked you off balance, right against Obi Wan. – “Oh… I’m sorry.” – you said, holding onto his clothing. – “That is alright, the winds here a strong and unpredictable.” – he answered as you removed yourself from him. He offered you his arm as you took it. The spacecraft of Obi Wan was reached quickly. He held your hand, assisting you on board. The doctor and Anakin following right behind. He led you into the cockpit, offering you the seat beside you. Anakin puffed annoyed, crossing his arms that you had taken his seat.
The doctor gave directions to where your spacecraft stood. You flew low over the dessert land. – “Stop! We’re here!” – the doctor shouted. Obi Wan hitting the brakes hard as you nearly bumped your head. – “Are you certain you were right? I don’t see it.” – Obi Wan looked outside, not seeing anything. – “Yes, it is the right place, you just can’t see it because it is invisible.” – he addressed unbuckling himself. – “Come Y/n.” – he tapped you on the shoulder. You struggled to free yourself as Obi Wan offered his help. His hands close to your body, flustering you. He assisted you out of the chair by holding your hand. He went with you to say goodbye. For some reason finding the need for it. You set off with the doctor, suddenly saddened you had to say goodbye.
*
“Y/n we need to leave!” – The doctor called out in a panic. His body twitching startled when blasters hit the wall he was hiding behind. – “This is a war.” – he made clear, sticking his fingers in his ears. – “Best we leave before things take a more dangerous turn.” – he grabbed you by the shoulders, pulling you up. He dragged you with him back to the TARDIS. Something so sudden breaking out into a killing spree. Jedi running for their lives as their once trusted company went against them. Blasts were fired as the doctor pulled you just in time against his chest out of reach. – “We are leaving now!” – he ordered not wanting to endanger you.
Numb to what was going on, you were handled by the doctor as he decided for you. Finally you arrived at the TARDIS as he opened the door, wanting to push you inside. – “Wait!” – you called out, grabbing the frame. – “There is no time to wait, you need to leave Y/n!” – the doctor using his strength to push you inside. You held your position, not wanting to enter yet. – “I…I can’t leave him here…” – you said worriedly. – “There is no time.” – clenching his jaw, he set more force against your back. – “I can’t!” – you cried out, stepping aside making the doctor stumble inside the TARDIS.
“I…I won’t let him die… not like this…” – you breathed out. – “Y/n…” – the doctor said, shaking his head. He knew what you were about to do. – “I just can’t.” – you repeated taking a step back. You spun around taking a run for it. – “Y/n!” – the doctor shouted going after you. You ran around in search for Obi Wan. You simply had to find him and convince him to come along. Avoiding the chaos as all that mattered was him.
You ran around a corner, bumping into someone. – “Y/n?!” – Obi Wan called out, taking you by your hands. You gasped, wrapping your hands around him. – “What are you still doing here? It’s dangerous to be here.” – he told you. – “I couldn’t leave you.” – you answered looking up. Blasts came from behind making Obi Wan duck. He pulled you behind him, shielding you with his lightsaber. – “Why did you return?” – he shouted over the blasting sounds. You backed away, Obi Wan forcing you to do so. He pushed his hand forwards, making the droids fall back.
“You were supposed to leave!” – he said angered with you, grabbing you firm by your hand. – “Why didn’t you leave!” – he wondered, pulling you once more behind his back as the droids rose once more. Your foot kicked against a fallen clone. Looking down, you picked up his blaster to defend yourself. You heard noises from behind you, pointing the blaster to it. From around the corner came another clone. You blasted a hole in its armor. Obi Wan gasped loud, turning around. The blast was so close, he panicked you had been shot. His eyes widened seeing the clone drop to the ground. He grabbed you by the shoulder, wanting to see for himself that you were unharmed. You gave him a weary smile.
Obi Wan took your hand, leading you away from the dangers. – “I’m taking you back right away!” – he said, pulling you along. – “No!” – you shouted, pulling your hand out of. Obi Wan stared confused back at you. – “Not without you.” – you said coming up to him. – “Please come with us.” – you placed your hand on his chest. – “I can take you anywhere in the universe, travel across worlds and time. I can show you the end of the universe and explore the beginning of it.” – you addressed to tempt him into coming along.
“Please… come with me. You won’t be save here…” – Eyes swelling up at the sign of your upcoming tears. – “Please…I need you…” – you said as your heart broke. A few tears rolling down your cheek. Obi Wan exhaled deep, briefly tempted by your offer. Yet he knew it was wrong to accept. – “I am sorry Y/n…” – he spoke moving his hand behind your head. – “I can’t…” – he added, lowering his gaze. You stepped back, shaking your head in disbelieve. – “Y/n…” – Obi Wan attempted to reach you, but you kept backing away.
Turning, you ran in the opposite direction. Obi Wan called out to you, hand stretched out, yearning for your touch. Crying uncontrollably, you ran back. The ground giving away underneath your feet as you sunk to the ground. Crying against a wall, wondering what even the point was of all of this. Obi Wan didn’t want to come with you. He’d rather risk his life to remain where he his kind is being hunted and executed.
Pain, you felt immediately ache in your heart. Knees pulled up to your chest, you cowered with heartache. – “Y/n!” – you barely lifted your head up hearing the doctor run over. He dropped to his knees, wrapping his arms around you. – “I’m so glad you are still alive!” – he breathed out, rocking your body in his embrace. You cried even louder making him pull worriedly away. – “What happened?” – he asked lifting your chin a bit up. – “He wouldn’t come…” – you cried.
Cheeks red from crying. – “but I can’t leave him…” – you continued as the doctor gave you comfort. – “I know…” – he responded, looking pained away. – “You love him…” – he said out loud. You nodded, sputtering out a cry. The doctor pulled you close for a hug, taking a deep breath. – “That is why you must stay.” – he spoke with heavy hearts. You pulled away, wiping your nose dry. – “Who am I to stand between love?” – he gave you a pained smile. You took a deep breath, slowly nodding. – “I should stay…” – you said hesitantly, making up your mind.
Remembering the day you met him. Longing for that day where things were simpler and where you had some of him. Now you had none of him, but you wanted all. The doctor helped you up to your feet. – “It has been a pleasure being your doctor, Y/n.” – he said blinking his own tears away. He sniffled loud when you touched his cheek. – “You’ve shown me so much, I am forever thankful to you.” – you answered, taking his hand.
The doctor reached into his pocket, revealing a sonic screwdriver. You blinked confused when he placed it in your palm. – “May it keep you save.” – he said looking into your eyes. You smiled faintly in return. Accepting the sonic screwdriver, you threw your arms around him. – “Don’t be a stranger.” – you whispered. He wrapped his arms tighter around you. – “I won’t forget you, Y/n. The girl who lives among the stars.” – he responded, smiling.
You gave him a goodbye kiss on his cheek. The doctor walking back, your hand slowly falling out of his. Taking a deep breath, you watched him disappear, never to be forgotten. Turning on your heel, you ran to chase down Obi Wan Kenobi. You searched everywhere, coming into the hangar at some point. There you saw him trying to escape in a spacecraft. – “Obi Wan!” – you shouted as loud as you could to draw his attention. His head turned shockingly. Eyes widening at you running over. He stepped back down, staring shocked at you.
You were supposed to leave so why were you still here? You ran up to him, Obi Wan opening his arms to catch you. You embraced him tightly, rocking a bit. – “I’m staying.” – you said with a warm smile on your lips. Obi Wan keeping you at arms-length. – “How?” – he asked brushing his knuckles over your cheek. – “By choosing you.” – you answered, staring lovingly at him. Your answer brought a smile to his lips, taking your hand as he helped you on the spacecraft with him. Together you escaped.
But henceforth soon the problems will come while you grew older,attachments are forbidden,you constantly need to remind it to yeself,but as your master would say; "‐A clever girl you are,but too much stubborn and reckless tho,young lady."
A little music ambience influences a lot.
As I am a random writer and I'm constantly daydreaming,I thought, "why not write a story with the same character but in different realities/timelines?".So here I am bringing this idea out of my tiny Pandora box.
(The timeline is different/The multiverse and choices can change the end because this is kind of an alternative universe)
Tumblr media
A few years before the Clone Wars
-You've been a wee distant young padawan,tell em what's bothering you?
-Sorry master.-I don't look into his pierced blue eyes that are in constant storming sea waves.-But I-I felt some disturbance in the force,as if it was telling me to pay attention in any details,cautiously.
-The force is speaking with you,I see.-he stopped in his tracks looking at me,spotting my belt that holds my lightsabers.-The colour of ye lightsaber,padawan...Means a lot,but I am able to see through this and taking a risk,I'd say that you're a gray jedi.-What does it matters now? He's always saying this to me as if I forgot anytime that my beliefs in the jedi order and its traditional methods doesn't work as once used to.
-As you are as well,master Graham.-I remarked calmly looking finally at his eyes,me and my master have a special bond and some similar ethical beliefs.-Don't you see Master,the Jedi council, their rules/laws,teaching methods,I feel that one day they will fall,all of us will fall undoubtedly,since the last war sir,the Jedi path is wrong and brings with itself sorrows,a life with fear and pain,suffer.-taking a breathe I continue.-Thus the nightmares that I've been having in my dreams mirror the old days something like the fall of the old Republic,Revan,Shan clan,Darth Malak,Tenebrae,Vaylin, Darth Nighilus,its like a holofilm in my mind...-Graham agreed with a simple head nod.
My master started his phrase in a dramaticlly tone,making me shuush.
-Indeed I trained a feminine version of myself.-he crossed his arms confirming his own statement.
-Hmmm,I don't like where this subject is heading on...Bad or good?Must I worry about it,sir?
-Depends on the point of view that you and others might see.-Graham maintain himself stoic as a rock in front of me,the way he is looking at me it's like as if my parents would look at me with worry,care,as if soon they'd knew that their kid would be hurt soon.-You are attached to someone else,love I dare to say,you hide it from everyone I know, unfortunately I am too good in corporal language and very cautious with the  child of mine,the way that you look at him...It's pure and naive love.
OK,I'm in shock how does...Dumb girl,you've should pay attention and be cautious,if ye master were able to discover,how much time do you have yet until the rest of them figure out?
I felt my face turn hot,shame.
-As a jedi master,your master Jedi.I must warn you about this,attachments are...-I interrupted him.
--Forbidden, strong feelings can lead you to a suffering life,I know about this, master,but please be honest with me,  do you not believe in this code any longer,do you?
He left a slight smile escape.
-Once I also loved,my young padawan,ouch...It was a forbidden love tho,when my master discovered ,she went feral,mainly when I revealed that she was a mandalorian,a mandalorian,a bounty-hunter,the old woman almost kicked my ass.
Okay,I am totally dumbfounded and astonished,A MANDALORIAN woman?!I would love to know more.
-Really?-way excited as I should be.-was she beautiful?Ah I forgot,they cannot reveal their faces.
-Well,she first tried to get rid of me because I screw up her mission,howevee in compensation I kind helped her,so...The rest is a good story from my past,but I won't tell you.-as if...
-Unfair,but I shall respect your wishes,master.-begrudgingly I said.-Above all this,what should I do with this?These nightmares,all my dreams seems  so real,as if I could touch them, feel what is inside.-a long breath escape.
-Is it not obviously?Finally we must start your training,a tough one which I was waiting the right time to recall.The others Jedi secrets,my secrets,tricks,my legacy and your dad knowledge,I will tell and teach everything that I know as possible as I still alive.
-Don't say such thing like that master,you will live a long life,your abilities even the ones in which don't belongs to the light side,master Graham, you can control them,I want to be like you one day.-He stared at my face studying before saying anything,have I said something wrong?
-You will never be like me y/n.-ouch,I didn't saw that coming.-You will,you must be yourself and even better than I ever could possibly think to be.-again,he stopped his talking,but his face went white.-How do you know about these...-he means,how do I know that he often practice and study the dark nature of the force?Well...
-Master,as you said my connection with the force is strong,and automatically when I worry about you because I feel something obscure I...This is how I knew,I was not spying on you and I never ever told to anybody else,but I was afraid that you might become a sith itself,I would've cry if you...
-I would never become a sith,nor turn to the dark side,I understand your worries but please,don't do it,sometimes some things that I do might be dangerous and you will know about it,I will teach you everything,just need to remind that there's not light without the darkness  and viceversa,but now this training you shall never say to anybody,not even for those that you care,your parents or even your former love, young padawan.
-About this master-my love private life...-You won't tell,will you?-He denies.
-As I told you,I also loved and you should believe more in me,don't you forget that since you're a kid I always brought you to see your parents and even received some teachings about the force with your father,the council would have expelled me and you if they'd discovered about this, which gratefully they didn't because I am...
-Because you have some tricks hidden in your sleeves,can do things that others can't and you want to train me all of it so I can become a...
-An excellent Jedi,no need to be selfish but learn that gaining control and power of yourself can also help the others,it'stm the right way,out duty is with the force and help the others,I might be harsh,sometimes rude or another bad stuff,but one thing that my mind leans on is in my loyalty with the force,not either with Republic or politicians, then what do you say to me?Do you want to learn all that I know and do so much more or...-I cut him off.
-Of course master,I want to be strong and clever,use my force abilities,control them and help the others.
-Then before all of this,wsrning you I must,we are gonna learn not only things from the light side but also the dark one,okay?
So it was true,Graham really connected himself with the dark side,though he still in the light side doing his Jedi duties...
-I know what you're thinking of me because of it,but as I told you,there's is no light without the darkness what you must know and do is still LOYAL to your morals and to yourself,do not seek for greedy things.
-Count me in,I won't disappoint you master.
-I know that you will not,I don't even will give you the permission to give up,then be prepared,it won't be easy.
-Oh please,don't even need to say that,I don't tend to give up nor even lose,never.
-Even when you're procrastinating?
A gasped sound came out of my mouth together with chuckling.
The Bond Between Us ~ His Turn
THE BOND BETWEEN US MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Word Count: 1,545ish
Summary: Obi-Wan is struggling.
Notes: Hope you guys enjoy this one-shot inside the 'The Bond Between Us' universe.
Tumblr media
It had been a year now since you and Obi-Wan reunited and were married on Alderaan. A year of the two of you building a life together on Tatooine. The two of you had a finished home now, were dealing with the fact that you would never be able to bare children, and recovering from the damage down to you both with your years apart. At least, that’s what you believed.
Obi-Wan would spend his day earning money from odd jobs and training with Qui-Gon. He would then come home for dinner and to follow through with his promise to never allow you to sleep alone. Unbeknownst to you, Obi-Wan wouldn’t sleep until you fell asleep. He was too scared that you would disappear if he closed his eyes. That reuniting with you was one long dream that he would soon wake up from. So, if he fell asleep, it was long after you were out.
When he did end up falling asleep, Obi-Wan often was plagued with the feeling of loneliness, sadness, and guilt that he lived with after you left him on Bail’s ship eleven years ago. It frustrated him greatly as he no longer felt that way since you returned to his side. He believed that he shouldn’t be feeling these things or be haunted by them anymore. You were with him now, your bond had healed, and he should be fine again. He hated that he wasn’t.
Tonight was one of those nights that his mind was racing and wouldn’t allow him to sleep. Obi-Wan looked down at you, nestled into him. He kissed your head before carefully pulling himself away from you and out of bed. He quietly left the room and headed into the kitchen so that he wouldn’t wake you.
With a sigh, Obi-Wan sunk into one of the chairs at the kitchen table. His elbows rested on the table while his head found a home in his hands. Without warning, rough, deep sobs rippled through Obi-Wan. He sobbed as quietly as he was able, hating the idea of waking you and causing you to worry.
Once the sobs died down, Obi-Wan cleaned himself up and slipped back into bed with you. Though you were still asleep, your body gravitated back to him and Obi-Wan willingly wrapped you up in his arms. He closed his eyes and allowed himself a brief moment of rest, knowing that it wouldn’t be long until you woke and he would need to head out for the day.
This repeated itself every night for months, with you none the wiser. You were starting to sense that something was off with Obi-Wan. He was looking more tired lately which began to worry you. Every time you questioned Obi-Wan about it, he quickly eased your worries.
Tonight was no different. You were laying in bed, watching as Obi-Wan finished getting ready for bed. When he slipped into bed and faced you, your hand came up to carefully trace the lines of his face.
“You know I love you, right?” You whispered. “More than anything.” You brushed some of his long locks away from his face.
“Of course,” Obi-Wan responded. “And I love you, little star.”
“Then why do I feel that you’re keeping something from me?”
Obi-Wan placed his hand on top of yours and pushed his fingers through yours. He guided your hand over his lips and placed a kiss on your palm. “I am fine, darling.”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m sure.” He kissed your palm again before pulling you closer and kissing your lips. “Let’s get some rest.”
Obi-Wan held you close as you cuddled into him and fell asleep. He wished he could fall asleep as well, but his mind was too busy plaguing him. Once he believed you were fast asleep, Obi-Wan slipped out of bed and headed for his normal spot in the kitchen. His head found its spot in his hands and the sobs wracked him. Tonight, Obi-Wan paid no mind to how loud he was being, too consumed by his emotions.
You heard crying before you really woke up. Your eyes were still closed as you reached out for Obi-Wan. Your arm fell back onto the bed, causing you to finally open your eyes. Obi-Wan wasn’t next to you. Sitting up, you looked around and couldn’t see him in the room. The crying though was louder now. You slipped out of bed and followed the sound. When you looked around the corner into the kitchen, your heart plummeted.
Obi-Wan had his head buried in his hands and his body was trembling with sobs. Tears pricked your eyes and your dipped into the Force and could feel his emotions. You stepped out from around the corner quietly.
“Obi,” you whispered.
Obi-Wan snapped up, clearly embarrassed to have been caught by you. He quickly began wiping the tears from his face.
“Little star, I—“ he paused, clearing the emotion in his throat. “I didn’t mean to wake you.”
“You… you were crying…”
“I’m fine, darling.” He stood up. “Let’s go back to bed.” He moved closer to you, arms out and ready to guide you.
You stepped back. “We’re not going to bed until you start being honest with me. What is wrong?”
“Little star—“
“Obi-Wan. What is wrong?”
Obi-Wan sighed, looking away from you and out the window where the moon’s light shone in. “I… I can’t sleep… I make sure that you’re put to bed every night and then I slip into the kitchen and I…” He shook his head, biting his lip slightly as he tried to put his thoughts together. “You leaving me on Bail’s ship, wrecked me. At least I could feel you still and knew that you were alive. But then you severed the bond and I… I believed that I could never be happy again. I put my focus on barely surviving and monitoring Luke. I cut myself off from the Force. I allowed myself to drown in the sadness and the guilt… Then… Then I found you. In that horrible little cell, practically dead…”
“I haven’t been able to sleep soundly because I fear this is all a dream,” Obi-Wan continued. “I am terrified to wake up and find that I never saved you… that you died in that tiny cell and I… And I couldn’t hold you one last time… I have this guilt about everything that happened in the Order… during the fall of it all… About Anakin… Padme… You… Though it’s in the past, it’s still eating me alive… Little star… I can’t… I don’t…”
“It’s alright, it’s alright,” you cooed, quickly coming up to your husband. You carefully held his face in your hands so that he looked at you. “Everything you are feeling is valid, Obi… I just wished that you would have told me. Keeping this all inside, struggling silently… I thought we weren’t doing that to eat other anymore?”
“I’m so sorry.” Obi-Wan started getting emotional again.
“Shhh, no apologies necessary.” Your thumb rubbed against the edge of his beard along his cheek. “I just wish you had been honest with me sooner.”
“We’ve already had to deal with so much. I didn’t want to—“
“Didn’t want to what? Burden me? Obi-Wan,” you shook your head, “we are married. We are supposed to rely on each other. When you feel like this, please, tell me. Wake me up and let me hold you. You do not have to feel like this alone.” You brought his head down and kissed the tip of his nose before kissing his lips lightly. “I want to help you… let me help you.”
Obi-Wan couldn’t stop the tears from coming as he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into him. You quickly hugged him back, running one of your hands up and down his back in comfort. He buried his head into your neck as you held onto each other.
Once Obi-Wan hand calmed, you led him back into the bedroom. You got on the bed first before pulling him down to lay on top of you. His head rested above your heart as you hummed and held him. He eventually fell asleep, with you following soon after.
~~~
In the morning, you woke up first. Obi-Wan was still laying on top of you. You smiled to yourself as you combed your fingers through his hair. As you allowed yourself to explore the Force inside of your husband, you could feel that he was more at peace than he had been in a while. Obi-Wan needed to let it all out and you were grateful that he had finally allowed himself to come clean to you.
Obi-Wan hummed as he began to come to. Before he opened his eyes, one of his hands came up and carefully took hold of one of your wrists. He dragged it down to his lips, kissing the tips of your fingers. You let out a light giggle.
“Morning, Obi,” you smiled down at him once he finally looked at you.
“Morning, little star,” he responded. He started peppering kissing up your arm that was easily reachable. “Thank you.”
You didn’t need to question what he was talking about. “It’s what wives are for.”
