Trying to improve my art so heres something I did earlier today of Cassius from The Remnants of Shadows!

The proportions are a tad dodgy and the hair isn't quite how I wanted it but overall I'm happy!

i need to stop coming up with highly specific trauma for my ocs it's becoming a problem. my latest guy from my mind has the dubious honour of having been run through with a blade while trying to shield someone they cared about with their body and faced with the choice of either pulling it out in order to go get help but risking bleeding out in the process, or allowing their friend to die doing the same. needless to say they were the survivor and now they have to live with that.

Im finally getting around to publicly sharing some tidbits of lore with yall! Originally the "heroes of yore" spiel Galacta reads was going to be just text but I thought people would probably like it a little better if there was a comic to accompany it!

Updated Character Intro - Cassius Alexanderson

As part of me redoing The Remnants of Shadows, here's a new intro for the leading bastard himself, Cassius Alexanderson!

He/him

Clairvoyant (can see the future in flashes)

The son of the head councilmember, and essentially the most powerful man in town, Tobias Alexanderson

Essentially a fantasy tory

The best public speaker in Blackburn

Sees his father as a perfect paragon of virtue that can do nothing wrong - surely he only wants the best for this town

Terrified of nonhumans after his father blamed them for the disappearance of his "sister" Kiera

Bit of an arse but he learns to lighten up over the course of the story

Can usually see the future, but if under enough stress and reminders of a strong memory of his past, he can see that as well, although it is much rarer

He can't use his powers on command, and blames himself for not being able to foresee the death of his mother and his "sister" disappearing

He's the kind of guy that you love to hate and hate to love

Who is Cassius?

new oc. they wear a mask they never take off and don't cut their hair and they accidentally caused the collapse of an entire civilisation because they killed the god-emperor of the region in a revenge duel slash act of rebellion (fought on dragonback) and had no plans for what to do in the aftermath, meaning that the area formerly under his control was quickly invaded by neighbouring rival empires and its people assimilated or killed in combat. they were a young adult at the time but babygirl your lack of geopolitical understanding literally caused a massive societal upheaval get it together lol.

#oc: cassius #the character concept i was working with was basically 'what if you gave two angry traumatised teenagers (one of whom is a beaft) a nuke'
