quick concept for a digimon oc I've had sitting on the backburner for. a while now.

His name is Percival (He/Him) and he's a Huck/Hackmon. Teeeeechnically he doesn't actually have a trainer (so once he digivolves it's a permanent evolution), but of the very few characters I have set up for a digimon au he's likely gonna be shoved in Exxie and Uchida's direction. Uchida's Gomamon looks up to him as someone she could learn how to fight from.

Percy's a pretty serious kinda guy, probably the comedic straight man to Pierre the Demidevimon (some day I'll draw a new design) and the aforementioned Gomamon's shenanigans. He might also be a little easy to overwhelm group-wise who knows.

Grahhhhhh Percival makes me actually wild, hes a triton, he looks like this, sorry If ive showed you him before I cant remember

but this guy makes me actually wild. hes so unwell hes got so many issues. we've finally started getting a little into his lore in the campaign and I got to call his sister last session which is a big step, and hes finally getting comfortable with the party calling him nicknames which is a big deal because like very very early on campaign I told the other players that he was the type to silently judge you if you called him Perci instead of Percival if you weren't close with him, but last session was the first time one of the other people slipped and called him perci and I got to be like 'he doesnt react negatively' and theyre all like omg we got nickname privileges and im very happy about it at the same time unfortunately though, a lot of his development is kinda gonna go down the drain now because we've got a new player joining the campaign and its really gonna mess him up, he was finally feeling comfortable in the character dynamic, they just saved his life literally and that means a lot to him, but now a new person is joining and thats going to feel like a big betrayal of trust he had a party before this one a few years ago, when he was a lot newer to the surface, and they didnt really care about him or treat him well, and so to get healed by the others meant a lot, because the other party wouldnt heal him unless he was fully downed, always saying that he was overreacting because he was a kid (he was 16-17 at the time) which just wasn't true, this guy has a high pain tolerance and is used to hiding injuries from adults, and so to 1. see his party immediately heal him and for even the pacifist to start taking the fight seriously once he got seriously injured meant a ton, and 2. that they didnt immediately freak out at his blood being the 'wrong color' (his blood is blue) also meant a ton to him. this guy has issues he has so many issues. hes got some kind of complex about not being human enough and it messes him up, but the party has all been nice about him being nonhuman and it means a lot, even though he still tries to mask a lot of his nonhuman traits around them

in the future at some point the campaign is going to go back to the undersea and im trying to figure out how he would react to that. even though hes a fish and comes from the ocean, ever since he left at 16 I dont think hes ever, or at least not often, gone back. his parents were really awful, and hes scared to step very deep into the water because, even though he can breathe underwater literally, metaphorically it would feel like drowning. I think he might be able to put it aside for a little bit for the sake of the party and having to teach them how to move around underwater and stuff, but I definitely think it would mess him up pretty bad. he would also be happy to see his sister though, she's an artificer, and is probably going to be the one to give them the stuff that allows them to breathe underwater, he cares about her a ton and vice versa. ironic for him to be a fish with a fear of the ocean

fun little details about him: - he has a sending stone flavored as a seashell, his shell phone we call it, he uses it to call his sister and thats the only contact it has, and its a cowrie shell (his sisters' is a conch) - He really idolizes his sister, she pretty much raised him, she's the reason he dyes his hair white and wears it in a ponytail - This fish is transgender 💪💪💪 so is his sister too - He can bioluminesce and its one of his stims is that he makes the lights flash up and down his forearms - his name is a fish pun based on the genus perciformes

We got to do a thing recently where he was like actually scared, because he has a lot of issues with bodily autonomy and so being mind controlled is one of his worst fears/triggers, and there was/is a very real potential for that to happen, and its one of the first times the party has ever seen him scared and I love describing the changes in his body language. Most of the time he presents himself very confidently for lack of better term, very open body language, but when hes scared that changes, he doesnt lean back as much, his tail flicks, he clutches at his forearms (especially since one was recently injured when he almost died) and leaves claw marks in his leather bracers, etc

//dusts off the blog oh, hey, there's still someone around there? i didn't die, don't worry. i just was taking a break (?) from posting here, somehow. so i bring something a little late. behold, the movie quartet! the movie quartet, you ask? well, guess who had to humanize a bunch of movie channels by sony. yeah, that's me. meet percival, mortimer, clarence and claudia shaw, aka sony pix, sony movies, sony cine and cine sony italy. - sony pix is this one english language movie channel that sony has in india, as they also got hindi movie channels (sony max (of which a gijinka of it will come, sooner or later) and sony wah). - sony movies is well, their main movie channel in the usa. there's also a latam version of it that i never catched, and it did ezist an uk version of it, until sony sold their channels to narrative entertainment and great! tv happened :') (also, let's not forget the hungarian sony movie channel, now replaced by viasat film.) - sony cine is their secondary movie channel in the usa, a spanish language one. also before this logo it shared the presentation with the now closed russian sony turbo, and i still laugh over said fact. - the italian cine sony is a curious thing. it used the then current presentation of the uk sony movies (back when it was sony movie channel) and the cine sony name. it also caused the closure of the italian axn or something, and i'm still bitter over that, after years and years. for make it sense in △nother spin, claudia is adopted. technically, there is also a fifth one i could humanize, sony le plex, but, shhh...

11. Coziness or opulence?

Coziness: Seonghwa, Percival. Neither of them are fussed much about material things; basic comforts do the job for them. Seonghwa particularly likes making his space in the artist’s alley comfortable, and Percival is very low maintenance. He gives great hugs, if you’re lucky enough to get one. Opulence: Morgan, Ariel. Elitist bitches. Morgan’s is tied into his fashion and aesthetics attraction; he doesn’t live an opulent life by any means, but he pours his all into making opulent things when he can. Ariel meanwhile I don’t think could ever be associated with coziness ever in their life. They’re too aloof and Elegant™.

(Zachary straddles the line here, but I think he’d end up with coziness. He recycles a lot of the more opulent fabrics and items in the theater to make up his space; it’s very bohemian. But the goal is comfort.)

13. Baths or showers?

Showers for all of them! No one here is really a “luxuriate in the bath” type.

16. Sweet or savory?

Sweet: Zachary (detailed this some more earlier), Seonghwa. Seonghwa isn’t too fussed really, he doesn’t have much of a preference, but he will lean towards lighter, airier dishes (fruits, crisp vegetables, puff pastries)  Savory: Percival, Morgan, Ariel. Not much of a sweet tooth among them (Morgan really doesn’t have one). Ariel goes for more acidy tastes, vinegars and liquors and glazes and citrus foods, and Percival will sometimes take a cupcake if it’s offered to him, but that’s more just because he’s polite. 

17. Spicy or mild?

Spicy: Ariel, Zachary, Seonghwa, Percival. Zachary just likes flavor! It’s fun! Same for Seonghwa. Percival can make some really mean dishes though, he likes to use chilis and a lot of paprika and cayenne pepper and will make slow cooker dishes to bring to the theater for the crew. Ariel is all about cinnamon and saffron and tarragon, as well as some more pronounced nuttier flavors (Seonghwa has this too--cloves, nutmeg, etc.)  Mild: Morgan (bland loser. He also really just like,,, doesn’t care much, and he didn’t grow up around spice)

30. Risk or safety?

Risk: Ariel, Zachary, Seonghwa. Depending on the circumstances (👀) Ariel will throw caution to the wind, and Zachary will be right behind them. Both of them are rather single-minded about this, though interestingly enough, they butt heads when it comes to what the other is risking. Zachary’s risks for Ariel are much more apparent than what Ariel gets up to, and they will reprimand him for it. Seonghwa falls on this side because he wants to live a life that is secure, really, and for him, he attains that security by risk (low finances, being an actor, disapproval from his family). Safety: Percival, Morgan. Percival’s desires are not grand things. He’s a humble man and a private one too, but he doesn’t want danger or trouble or complications at all. Morgan meanwhile just wants the end of this fucking headache he’s accumulating, and he has to be pushed to take risks.

My redesign of Sir Pentious. He’s mine now.

He’s a sorcerer/illusionist instead of an inventor. He can use magic, including hypnosis, as well as store things in his hat.

Penny’s stripes and eyes, including the ones on his inner hood, glow in the dark. His amount of eyes have also been greatly reduced, because holy shit, I pity the animators. The eyes on each side of his hood are false ones, merely patterns.

Haven’t designed them yet but his eggies are still around! I love the idea that he lays them himself, because oviposition is rad, and Sinners being unable to have offspring while Lucifer and Lilith were able to have Charlie is incredibly stupid and makes no sense. So Pen has been given egg-laying privileges.

And a new name. I just have to think of one. It’s 5 am and I’m going to bed.

5 Times Amaryllis and Percival held hands

🌸 1. When she accidentally stabbed him in the shoulder, and grabbed his hand so she could tend to his wound. (Back when they were initially enemies. He thought she was just getting revenge for his previous actions, until she showed it truly was an accident that she wished to fix.)

🌸 2. When they shared a waltz. (Won in a bet- where Amaryllis had to impress Percival in a spar to win.)

🌸 3. When she playfully grabbed his hand, the day they spent time together. (he pulled away initially, but dropped his hand back into place for her to grab.)

🌸 4. When he was given memories, from another him from a doomed timeline, and his brain was processing them and rebooting. (She was tasked with giving him the memories, and was worried that they would change him- that he would forget her or view her differently... She held his hand for both their comforts. He let her.)

🌸 5. When they talked in his room, after he cooked a lavish dinner for her return home. (She reached for his hand, and he didn't pull away. They fell asleep like that. Her sleeping in his space, and him falling asleep next to her, were huge shows of trust and care.)

They've been through a lot and went from enemies to lovers. i love their relationship so much, its very precious to me 💕💕💕🥺

ok so here's something that has been literal months in the making, maybe even a year now.

some type of light hearted/comedic monster boy dating sim that i entertained with friends

we have: Adam Frankenstein, Aster of Knossos, Oberon Midsummer, and Percival Wolfgang. also Mr. F AKA Mr. Frankenstein (you can't call him doctor cause. you know)

they all have profiles on my unvale if you're curious to read about them. it's not likely this will ever come to fruition, i've been holding onto these drawings for a while in the hopes of actually releasing them when we actually had some kind of solid idea/planned comic book/game release but that's just not realistic for all of our situations right now so i hope you enjoy them
