Look, I can see being forced or strongly suggested to have a beard or do a little PR thing. As long as they’re closeted that’s a thing. But you can’t tell me they’re telling him to lick her face and shit. And he’s in a position that I think a lot more could be done more effectively for pr than this that the label would support because it’d be good business. And Harry’s stuff is usually about ultimately good business even if we hate parts or they execute poorly. This feels cheap and easy and sleazy. And I really think he was in on this one for whatever his reasons. At least to the big points.

Oh, for sure if he didn’t have to occasionally remind people he’s so straight, he would prefer to skip this kind of nonsense. But it’s the easiest way to get headlines. I can’t tell if she just went in for the kiss and he had to roll with it (because cameras), or if that was planned. But I fully believe he agreed to be photographed and linked with her. Hopefully we won’t have to see her again.

🌈is there a fic that you worked *really fucking hard on* that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?-

I think maybe Complicated Little Emotions. The idea of writing a What Happens Next fic right after TFP aired was such a big deal in my head and I so badly wanted to nail it. I wanted it to make sense but I also wanted it to be unique and clever. Because of how I was setting it up for myself, I had a hard time feeling totally satisfied with it. I even wrote part of that fic and then had to scrap it and write it over because I wasn’t happy with it. I still feel kinda meh about it lol. It was my own fault though, because I made the stakes too high for myself. I should’ve known it’s no big deal since I’d go on to write about 2748 more post TFP fics in the years to come. 🤣

🦋what are you most insecure about when you post a fic?

Probably the flow and continuity of the plot. I worry that it makes sense to the reader and that I’m telling it in a way that’s easy to follow. And I worry that I’ve forgotten important things if it’s been a while between my updates lol.

💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

It’s close but I’d have to go with the characters. Imo, if they’re not believable it doesn’t matter how good a plot you have or how perfect your grammar is.

💋when you leave comments on a fic, do you want to hear back from the writer?

I’d like to, yes. I always try to respond to the comments I get for this reason. I do also get that some writers have a different routine for responding and it’s totally understandable! I know they’re still excited to see comments even if they can’t reply, so no judgement! 😊
