Whoops accidentally started another Barriscowest Sherlock Holmes fic for a Multiamory March prompt.

#the great thing about this au is its whole concept is filling in the gaps in a story i haven't told #so there's this huge amount of time to fit in anything #there's all these cases they solved and i'm not planning on writing any of them so there's just so much time anything could happen #also i get to put sussex in it #(as opposed to what i often do which is central city in canon has an area called new brighton #so on the odd occasion i need a one-off road name i just pull up a map of actual brighton and borrow one of theirs #and also fantasy au means i'm slipping a mud word in there) #anyway they're setting sail from newhaven to dieppe instead of dover to calais #also i just looked up newhaven port (someone once told me the reason the road signs in newhaven are in english french and spanish #is you can also get a ferry to spain but i think it's actually just dieppe) #and it says newhaven lifeboat is one of the oldest in the county and is older than the rnli (who are 200 years old this year) #which i think works nicely in the one where barry is a lifeboat man in his spare time #(because obviously barry's got to still be a hero somehow and the rnli are all volunteers who go out in all weathers to save lives) #anyway i have become distracted time to get back to fic writing #*
