(EN) Historic place of the week🏛️ Old Quebec This colorful historic area of the Canadian city of Quebec has the traces of the city founded by the French explorer Samuel de Champlain in 1608. The historic district still maintains its walls, being the only American city further north than Mexico that still maintains them. In addition to the walls, you can find several historic buildings dating from the 17th to the 20th century, including the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church, the John Darlington Building, the Quebec City Hall, or the Château Frontenac hotel. The district today is a UNESCO heritage site.
