Here we have Oletta, the marooned scientist who used to work for the Company before they fled Gahanna.

This model features hi-res textures and dynamic outlines, and body groups for the gas mask (full mask and goggles, goggles only, mask only, no mask) and the tank on her back (on/off).

There are no face flexes (the dynamic outline does not play well with face flexes), but there are face bones to pose instead.

Upon her departure from her team and friends, Rhea only had one objective in mind after her falling out - Return home to Vacuo, and rejoin her fellow Rose Pirates to resume the life she wanted. Rhea was sure she had been taught what she needed to know to be stronger, to be the queen of the sea, but upon the discovery of a small home in the middle of the woods, Rhea's life would change once more.

Oletta Anacardo was a woman that Rhea couldn't wrap her head around. First meeting the woman with a rifle between them, Oletta confusingly took in Rhea to shelter her. At first Rhea kept to herself, but was taken aback when despite recoginising her branding as a member of The Rose Pirates - the intricate tattoos adoring her right arm in a sleeve - Oletta served no ill or resentment to her. In Remnant, those with knowledge of the Rose Pirates are almost guaranteed to show hostility on sight. While the Rose Pirates enact their own form of justice outside of the government, they are labeled as criminals.

The truth is, Oletta is a woman who punished herself to a life of loneliness. Losing her husband, her three sons, and estranging herself from her remaining daughter, she sought to isolate herself in the middle of the Sannas forest. She was once a skilled and respected huntress, but now she is merely a shell of a woman. If there was anything Oletta could do, it was to just give Rhea one request - to not walk the path of loneliness.

Someone like Oletta proved almost too perfect of a person for somebody like Delaney Atlan. Rhea watched as Delaney made the offer - 2 million lien for her house. The last thing that Oletta held onto from her life. Even if Oletta defiantly told Delaney no, the businessman insisted, citing that the money could get Oletta out of the gutter and into a better life. And it was a tempting offer for Oletta. But Rhea convinced her to go back on that thought, citing that the house is not just a remnant of Oletta's failures, but her achievements too. She built a life in this house, even if it isn't what she wanted, it's a testament to how she has survived for so long despite everything.

The two women both knew that Delaney wouldn't take no for an answer though, and thus, they prepared to fight for what they had left. Deep down, Oletta was proud of Rhea, and she knew that Rhea was heading on the right path after all. When Delaney returned to make the final offer, his tactic of forceful removal upon no deal would be met by fierce resistance. The mercenaries that Delaney came with were quickly disposed of, but when Oletta came out to warn Delaney never to take what belongs to her - he had other plans. If he couldn't have Oletta's house, then she couldn't either.

With a quick shot, Delaney would ignite the gas cannisters, erupting the house into flames. And in the enusing confusion and chaos, Rhea would just manage to escape. All in a blur, she saw Delaney raise his gun, and shoot Oletta in the stomach. In Rhea's mind, if she fired the shot quicker, she could've saved her. Delaney got what he wanted, in a way. If he couldn't have what he wanted, then the next best thing he can do is cause as much pain as possible. The money was just gonna be wired back to him in the end.

As Rhea can only stay with Oletta as she dies, the older woman demands a promise to Rhea - to never walk the path alone. Rhea La Roja, the Red Bane, the orphan, never believed in destiny... But she learned that she cannot become what she wants to be if she is alone. Her family, her team, her friends, they are what made her who she is.

listened to the wtw finale while driving yesterday and GOD

i wish i was better at writing words because it was so fucking Good the themes of cultural loss and assimilation and the ways that people who are robbed of their cultural heritage and the ways that people are robbed of the right to pass on their cultural heritage to the next generation

this season is one of the strongest in terms of how much time i spent wondering, just like elena, about anita and whether she would follow the tapes. wondering what went through her mind as this strange woman went on about her biological mother, and knew just a little too much about her because the society took away any chance that elena COULD know her, and led her from place to place and slowly revealed just how much elena wanted to be her mom and to share experiences with her and im gonna CRY because at least to a point she DID follow the tapes and she DID enjoy herself and they might TALK and maybe anita hates elena or thinks she's weird or loves her or doesn't know what to think and its MOTHERHOOD and CONNECTION and a sad dying woman who just wanted to connect with the person who could have been her daughter and AGH

i feel like this season is a great a mirror to season 4, where we sit in the place of sigrid as her biological mother touts the importance of family but ultimately abandons her for the sake of personal gain to the point of telling her to kill herself, while in this recent season we sit in the place of anita, a woman who is indirectly approached by a woman she's never met but over the course of ten episodes just wants to share so much with her about her mother and about herself. how she wants anita to have experiences and live her life and know where she came from and elena wants so badly for anita to LIVE

i love elena so much shes messy and selfish and has so many insights into the world she lives in! she wants to pass things on! she wants the woman who could have been her daughter to know that the world is big and beautiful and sad! she wants to tell her would-be daughter that the society robbed them of this!

and the whole series feels like that. the ways that the world they live in rob them of choices they could have made, of connections they could have had. claudia mourned her family and her home. hester only barely got to know her sister after years of separation. anita only got to learn about her mom after she died and now has to figure out what the hell that means to her and also for most of the tapes believes that this other woman is dead. vivi wanted her daughters!!! she wanted them!!

and then there's sigrid, on the other side. based on what little we know, she most likely didn't follow her mother's instructions at the end of season 4. but because of the restrictions by the society, she never had a choice growing up either. she couldn't leave without possibly being cut off entirely from the group she always knew, or even being sent to a place like the institute. where could she go?

god i love how little we know about oletta and sigrid and anita. i love that anita went on the trip and seemed to be having fun. i love that sigrid most likely saved the cradle. i love that oletta reached out to her sister and for reasons ill never know did go with hester. i love that a huge part of the story is in the wondering.
