The Black Beard pirates appearance in the latest chapter is quite interesting.
Van Augur may be the Titanic Captain of the 3rd ship but he might as well be the 1st captain with how much work he is doing.
Black Beard employee of the month.

Shirohige!Sanji being held by his family:
Marco, holding ten year old mummified Sanji and pointing at the night sky: That's the Big dipper, there's the Little Dipper, the sea king...
Thatch, holding eleven year old Sanji and the first meal he made for the crew by himself: I found the next Fourth Division Commander!
White Beard, holding a crying twelve year old Sanji: I don't care where you came from, I care about your heart and what's in it. Family are those that love you, not in spite of the bad or because of the good. Both are what makes us alive, boy! Therefore you are my son!
Vista, holding a 13 year old Sanji and several swords: So you don't want to use swords to protect your hands? Fair enough! You protect what is precious to you. You do what you can and we'll do what you can't!
Jozu, holding a 14 year old homicidal Sanji: Some battles are not worth fighting, Sanji. You will understand as you get older.
Teach, holding a drenched 15 year old Sanji: It takes a special type of person to do that without a devil fruit, you know? Means you're stronger than you know!
Marco, holding a 16 year old Sanji in his talons while flying: Respect is always earned and I think you just earned the governments!
Ace, holding a sleeping 17 year old Sanji: You have shown me a new way to love and be loved. I want to do that for you.
Zeff, holding an 18 year old after a bad dinner rush: You are always so eager to help yet never ask for anything in return. You need to be selfish sometimes.
Shanks, post Marineford, holding a dead on his feet 19 year old Sanji: It's okay to rest, you know? I've learned the hard way always pushing will wear you down faster than anything.
Ivankov, holding a 20 year old Sanji: The past can't be changed, look to the future. Have faith.
Shirohige, holding a 21 year old Sanji as the Hats and Ace watch at a party: We're so glad you're alive and you're our family. Never doubt you are loved by so many.

"Fairness" One Piece x Saitama reader, Nine.
Tumblr media
"Just a Normal girl looking for an everyday life. At least, if you call sailing across the seas with idiots with useless dreams a simple task, then you might wanna see a doctor. Seriously."
Warnings: Blood, gore, mentions of Luekimia, and heaps amount of blood and strength. It might be a little cursing, but not bad, and maybe some flirting in there, but it's mostly clean.
Other things:
-You didn't get bald due to your powers; you got bald to an extreme illness.
-You part of the straw hat crew, but others are interested in you and your power.
-Everyone that is a male is taller than you.
-Monsters from the OPM world will appear in One Piece, and I'll make some new monsters you will fight.
Enjoy the Ninth chapter, everyone!! :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"CU-A-AH-CUTIE!!!!!"
The ground below you exploded as you landed in front of the admirals and a Giant orc whose head was bleeding.
Your eyes were darkened, your wig nowhere to be found, as your bald head was revealed, to the world, a new world.
Everyone around you was shocked, as your face didn't change a shade, as the dust finally calmed down, as your eyes and face looked up at the three men, your mouth son forming a snarl shape.
It seemed like Luffy made it as well, as he was smiling, his body all wet thanks to Jimbei helping him. I didn't have time to chit-chat; instead, I teleported from my spot, somewhat closer to the three admirals, as my leg returned. "DISTRACTING WIND KICK!" I yelled, kicking the air right in front of them as a blast of wind came from the impact, but Aokiji froze the air somehow, which made my eyes widen, as the three bolted to me.
I was able to teleport away, didn't know Luffy had a plan as when I teleported, a large log was thrown at them.
Stopping, Aokiji froze the log as well, forcing it back to Luffy, who broke it into millions of Pieces, using the gatling attack, but with his foot to send the pieces back to them.
That destracted the three, as I grabbed Luffy's hand. "Come on!" I zoomed quickly behind them, both of us flying to the execution platform Until Kizaru caught up to us, about to kick Luffy. "Too Slow, Mugiwara..." My eyes widened when he kicked Luffy far, my head whipping that way. "Luffy!" I yelled, blocking Kizaru's kick to my easily, as my head looked to him. "You made it this far little one, I'm surprised....especially with that injury of yours..." I smirked to him. "Do you think I'd let a sharp stick take the best of me? Think again!" I pushed his leg of, both of us going back as I slid on the floor, as he just simply landed as well. "Your strong. Guess I won't back down when facing you this time..."
But, as he was saying that, the men were about to execute Ace, which I saw, as my eyes widened. "ACE!!" I yelled, the weapons about to go down on him as Kizaru saw a chance to leave, not bothered to fight me which pissed me off, but I bolted, faster to Ace, not wanting him to die yet.
I was far away, I needed to move faster, but, time had different plans, as the weapons were already almost to the kill points.
'SHIT! NO! THIS IS NOT HOW FAIRNESS WORKS! HE CAN'T DIE! NOT LIKE THIS!' I thought, moving even faster, but, it was too late, as I was just too far away from him.
Or so I thought.
Sand erupted under the platform boards, killing the two guards before the blades could poke Ace, as mine, and everyone else's eyes widened, as Sengoku's teeth gritted with annoyance, looking for the coraprate.
My face turned releifed, a smile plastering my face as Crocodile strood firm in the crowed, his cloak blowing in the wind, sand swirling around him as the marines pointed guns at him, as he didnt' hesitate.
"I thought that it was to our advantage to have you since you hold a grudge against whitebeard. Crocodile." He finished, Luffy's eyes widened in surprise, hopping out of the debree, ignoring the marines surrounding him as well, as Marco landed on a metal beam above, while Jimbei was still in the water. I smirked, as I look straight at garp. "He still wanted to kill the old man. But he and the waters have changed. Do you think he's stupid to let the Marines get what they want?"
Crocodile looked to me, landing beside him as I touched his hook. "Are you alright?" He looked down at me. "I should be asking you that." I smiled. "Ah, right, just a scratch, I'll pull through, thanks for Saving Ace." He nodded, and looked back at Sengoku. "Don't think I switched dramatically, I can kill the old man later, like Y/n-san said....I won't let the mairnes have this win...or a taste of victory.." His words sent shivers down your spine, as you saw a white line go to his neck. Curious, my head tilted, as I simply grabbed the white line, which only scratched me. "Huh? What's this?" Crocodiles eyes widened, as he recognised the white line, as he looked to hear a familiar laugh, Doflamingo walking to the two of us. "Hey, you, gator guy! You turned me down and now, you wanna team up with Whitebeard and this cutie? It makes me Jealous." He smirked, his power leaving my hands, as I glared to him, as crocodile did as well. "I'm not gonna team up with anybody. I'll make an accepting arrangement to Y/n....she earns my respect..." Corcodile spoke, Doflamigno's smirk growing wider. "So that means your still giving me the cold shoulder, even taking the cutie with you, how fair is that?" "Looks like it's fair to me...I ain't taking her no where bird brain....think of it as being fair." I smile up at him when he looked to me, as Doflamingo let out anouth laugh. "I see then, let's see how this fairness deal plays out!" He attacked as well as Crocodile, as both of them clashed together, knocking some marines back.
My eyes widened with surprise, worried, but saw this as a helping opportunity, Luffy did as well, as we bolted away, heading back towards the platform.
We scattered everyone, clearing a pathway like bowling pins, as I was able to catch up to him.
My eyes looked up at Ace, who was looking down, not at us as I knew how he felt, which made me want to push forwards, to not loose.
As we kept fighting, dodging, trying to survive, as got closer and closer, until Luffy got hit with an Ice shard, as my eyes widened. "LUFFY!" He flung back, his back slamming and sliding on the floor,
Admrial Aokiji stood before him, taking the ice weapon out of his arm, towering over Luffy. "I owed a favor to your grandfather.." He lifted the weapon again. "But I have no choice! Because you chose to risk your life!" But, before he could stab Luffy again, I bolted, standing in front of Luffy, which made his eyes widened,until Marco kicked his side, sending Aokiji flying.
My eyes widened, eyes locking to the man, as Luffy did as well. "Y-Y/n." He spoke, as I just look up at Marco with admiration. "Thank you, for saving my tail.." He smirked down at me. "No problem Miss, Yoi, don't get your cute but in danger again ok?" He winked, turning to fight again as my heart raced, my mouth soon letting out a snort as I turned to Luffy. "Are you alright?!" He nodded, but winced when he leaned on his bad arm, as I held it gently. "Hang on." I ripped both of my pant leg fabrics, exposing my rather large thighs, as marines started to blush, as I wasn't bothered with the stairs, as I kneeled down, wrapping Luffy's arm with the fabric. "So no dirt or debree will get into it." His face watched me with awe, the sunlight shining on the battlefield behind me, as his heart raced, a small smile forming his lips. "Thank you, Y/n-san. What would I do without you?" I sighed. "Probably be dead." He chuckled. "Your right, but, that's not who I am. I came here fighting, for a purpose, for a reason, and that's to save Ace, so you can join my crew." My eyes widened. "Why would saving Ace make me join your crew?" He smiled. "So I can prove to you how good of a captain I can be, even if everyone is separated. Yet again, I'm not just saving Ace to get what I want, I'm saving him because he's my brother-" He pause when we heard explosions, as the giant Orc that helped a ship to land, got shot down, as mine and his eyes widened.
"N-No.." I whispered, as the Orc was an innocent soul, which was falling down to his death.
As he was falling, I saw him look to whitebeard, who held a face of remorse and sadness, as he looked back up to Sengoku.
The action made the old man pissed, as he clenched the weapon in his hand, as he began to walk, towards the edge of his own ship.
Everyone was watching, as he jumped over, right on the ground below.
"WHITEBEARD HAS DECENDED TO THE PLAZA!!" A marine yelled, as the man stood back up, Marines pointing their guns as him. "Stay back, my sons!" he ordered, looking ahead as he lifted up his two handed weapon, a white ball of energy coming out of it while he yelled swinging it to the left.
Cracks were made in the air, which caused your eyes to widen, which broke, a large amount of energy escaping as a shit tone of marines scattered everywhere, like an invisible bomb went off.
As i held onto Luffy as the wind picked up, soon it died down, as whitbeards face was lined with black, as he was angry, his own main grew hopping down with him before he held up his fist. "GUYS! RESCUE ACE AND DESTROY THE NAVY!!!" His words made me smirk, as I was done with Luffy's injuring, both of us hopping up, as we joined them, both of us bolting.
'Don't worry Ace.' I thought, as me and Luffy looked up at him, who's eyes were filled with water.
'We're on our way!'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was tragic. Oars death.
It affected ace, as of the whitebeard crew, as Marco stood in front of him, with a blank face. "Thank you, Oars." He spoke, turning, to seek out the battle, as it was pure an utter chaos, more chaotic than before.
Whitebeard was walking, preparing energy on his weapon again. "Clear the way for me!" He ordered, his crew following orders as they ran, whitebeard about to do his main attack again, until Aokiji went up in the air, putting his hands together. "ICE BALL!" I large amount of ice spread throughout, heading to whitebeard to enclose him, as I turned, looking that way. "OLD MAN!" I yelled, telling Luffy to go ahead, as I bolted, Aokiji landing, as some marines though he was trapped.
But oh boy, where they wrong.
The ice suddenly broke, as I simply punched it, freeing the Yonko, as the Admrials eyes widened. "Ah! The kid is on his side! How could I forgotten!" Getting his powers ready again, as he jumped, about to attack me. "ICE..." I turned, Whitebeard growling with annoyance as his weapon came up, stabbing the Admiral straight through, protecting me.
My eyes widened from his actions, time stopped, as whitebeards large hand was shielding me from some shards, his hand bleeding. "O-Old man!" I yeld, as he glared down at me. "Don't be reckless next time brat.....your lucky it was just my hand and not your heart.." I gulped, as Aokiji's hand grabbed his weapon, Ice forming on it, as my eyes widened. "Pops!" I yelled, him not changing a shade, until Aokiji was hit, spread apart while he turned himself into snow.
A gaint man, his arm lined with Dimon projectect whitebeard, as he landed in front of him and me. "Pops! Move forwards!"
Whitebeard nodded. "Right, I leave him to you. Don't fail me." Whitebeard moved forwards, as I followed after, going ahead of him, as Aokiji was left with the Dimond dude, as the battle and war continued.
Luffy was way ahead, looking up at Ace, as Garp noticed this, his body shaking with sadness and fear for Luffy's life, as Sengoku just simply looked to him not saying anything.
But, as Luffy continued to run, he got slashed down, by a navy Vice admiral, as my eyes widened again. "LUFFY!!!" He slid on the floor, face first, his breaths more tired and heavy. "Vie admiral? The same rank as G-Grandpa?" He asked, slowly getting up, he tried to fight him off, but another Vice admrial came to help, Knocking Luffy down again, which made me run faster. "DON'T GET UP! I'M COMING LUFFY!!" I ran even faster, when Kizaru sent an explosion his way, as I teleported behind kizaru, kicking him easily out of the way, into the nearest building, as I was beside Luffy once more. "Luffy! Fuck, Luffy can you hear me?!" I was worried, until Kizaru came back. "Why don't you both just go away?" I dodged him, but he kicked Luffy away, making him fly to whitebeard, who caught him like a doll.
I sighed with releif, but still felt worried as Luffy was gravely injured, whitebeard glaring to him, as Luffy was upside down. Kizaru smirked at the sight. "OOOH! Whitebeard's command has dulled. You could've done better than that. I can't belive that you let that piece of crap...who is so reckless, take the lead!" His words made me angry, though they were meant to whitebeard who was holding Luffy, as my face lined with Anger. Soon enough, I stepped in front of him, and Luffy, my arms holding out widem my face serious. "I won't let you hurt either of them!" Kizaru's eyes slightly widened. "Oh really?That's a bold move coming from you Little one..." He readied his devil fruit again, as Whitebeards crew stepped in front of him also, ready to protect pops at all cost. "Oh how touching! A family reunion....let's see how all of you can survive this-" "THERE THEY ARE! Y/N-GIRL AND STRAW BOY!" A familiar voice spoke, as I turned and smiled, everyone else did as well, as Ivanka grew in size, herself like a giant as some pirates and marines spit their Saliva out. "I KNEW IT! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT WAS HAPPENING!" she told Jimbei, who was standing beside her large head. JImebi jumped down, worried for Luffy as Ivanka looked to me. "IS HE DEAD Y/N GIRL?!" My brows furrowed, looking down. "He's badly injured..." Ivanka called, Luffy struggling in whitebeards hold, as he tossed him to some crew members to get checked out and treated, as I bolted, running that way. Luffy struggled against their hold, getting out as he pleaded to let him go and save Ace, as everyone heard his hurtful cries and please, but as he left and tried to run, he just tumbled to the floor again, as I rushed to his side. "Luffy!" I spoke, worried, as Jimbei went beside me, as I shook him, trying to get him to wake up, but nothing was happening, as he was passed out.
"Shit..! Surgeon you have to do something, please! He needs to save Ace!" The doctor reasurred me he will do his work, as Jimbie looked back, as whitebeard and Aukini clashed, large amounts of Whit/red energy clashing each other, as I never seen so much power in my life. "Y/n-San! Let's leave Luffy with the surgeon! We need to move forwards!" I didn't like his statement, but understood as all Luffy wants to do is rescue Ace. I turned to look at him, my face gently caressing his face. "Don't worry Luffy...we'll rescue Ace...you'll recover...I have faith...." Before i left, I pecked his cheek gently, yet lovingly, before running with Jimbei, advancing to the battle.
Marco seemed to be coming with us, as many allies of the whitebeard pirates joined as well, all of us heading to Ace's direction. Looking to Marco through the smoke, I yelled to him. "Try to see is you can get to Ace by air!" Liking my statement, he already thought of that plan as he advanced high in the air, which the admirals saw.
Sengoku, annoyed, spoke in the snail thing. "WHAT ARE YOU IDIOTS DOING!? SHOOT HIM DOWN ALREADY!!" As some of the marines tried to shoot Marco, but didn't work. "W-WE CAN'T" They replied as Marco got closer, until Garp got up from his seat, bolting to Marco, who easily got knocked back by him.
But, for Marco to do an areal attack was all apart of your plan, as you looked to Jimbei. "Give me a boost!" I spoke, Stopping a little ways from him as he knew what I was doing, and nodded..
Once Jimbei bended down a little, I ran to him, his large hands getting stepped on by my feet as he used his strength to push me up high in the sky, as I used my incredible speed to get even closer, right up to Sengoku's face. "You think that was the only move he thought of!? Think again!"
I puched Sengoku, away from Ace as he stumbled off the platform, his teeth gritting with annoyance, looking up as I landed on the platform, my eyes dark.
Ace was shocked, looking up at me, as I didn't let my guard down, as I simply sat down, as I knew Luffy was going to get up. "Ace.." I spoke, himself still not believing I'm right next to him, as my head turned to face him. "Are you ready to be rescued?" My words were almost a myth, as he just looked down at me, as I simply blankly looked at him, as I scooted closer.
But, as I got coser, Garp, Sengoku, and some of the Admrials surrounded the two of us, as his eyes widened. "Get out of the way!!" I didn't change a shade of emotion, instead, I looked to the four, before my eyes slightly widened. "Die." Energy came out of me, a unique sound going throughout everywhere, as the energy spread through the adrmials, pushing them back, as their eyes widened, recognizing the power.
All of them landed to the floor, some other marines and pirates unable to stand, as tinted yellow electricity and light came out of me, as if the energy is destructive.
'I-It can't be...' Ace thought, looking to me with utter shock, as did garp and the admrials.
Ivankove and Jimbei where shocked as well, Marco and pops smirking, as of Doflamingo, who him and Crocodile paused their fighting, looking my way, as did Mihawk, whoput his sword away. A small smile formed his lips, as he finally understood me, as I was just like Luffy, not wanting to back down. "Looks like you evolved, little rabbit...." He spoke, his heart racing wildly, as Whitebeard's smirk was still on his face. "The brat........"
"Has conquerer's Haki..."

While I love the idea of Kuzan just giving the bird to the marines and the WG, the idea of him working with Black Beard of all people just doesn’t sit well with me.
But does he really work for Black Beard, or does he plan to take the man and his crew down from the inside? That’d sound more like him, but if that’s the case, then here’s another question: does he work alone, or with someone? A certain old friend of his came to my mind from this comment:
Tumblr media
“Dear friend taking a stand against the government”, not “dear friend dying” or “losing a dear friend.” If the translation is right, Kuzan knows Saul’s alive. Just something for people to think about. ^^

rewrite the stars (one shot)
Tumblr media
portgas d. ace x f!reader warnings: suggestive sexual themes, but more fluff, spoilers, angst, minors DNI
----------------------
♪ Now Playing: Rewrite the Stars - Zac Effron & Zendaya♪
----------------------
Why did you have to fall for him?
"The name's Portgas D. Ace, nice to meet ya!"
You hated how fast your heart pounded when he said your name. You hated how your stomach filled with butterflies when he flashed you that signature grin.
But most importantly: You hated the way you became breathless when he held your face in his hands, and his kiss would steal every protest and doubt that would come up telling you that this was a bad idea.
How could the daughter of a renowned marine physician fall for the 2nd Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates?
Ace came and went as he pleased, but he would drop the cheesiest lines, telling you that the wind will always blow him back to you. When he came to see you, he was all yours. Whether it was just cooking together and watching him almost set your kitchen on fire with his Devil Fruit powers, or walking through the town together, you wished he could stay forever. On the nights where he could stay with you, he pulled you close and placed butterfly kisses against your eyelids, your nose, cheeks, and lips. His touch would make you gasp, your whines would bubble out of you, and he would relish in those beautiful noises he loved so much before silencing them with his passionate kisses. Your hands would cling to his biceps and travel to his back, where his muscles would ripple with each movement. “A-Ace,” you would stammer, as pleasure ripped through you as he kissed the column of your neck, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. He would look at you through hooded eyes, like a predator who had just caught his prey and was now enjoying his prize, devouring and savoring each taste. When he slept, his body was slotted between your legs and his arms wrapped around your waist while using your stomach as his pillow. Soft snores would come out him, as you ran your fingers through his jet black hair, and the trailed down his back where the White Beard Jolly Roger was tattooed. It was a reminder that Ace did not truly belong to you , nor would he ever stay for you.
“One day - the day will come where we will be together,” Ace insisted, a gentle smile on his face.
“How? Ace - you’re a pirate and I’m the daughter of a marine. My hands are tied, and this is …” you bit back the rest of your words.
Fate. Destiny. It seemed like the stars did not have it in their cards to keep you and Ace together.
“This is not our fate,” Ace argued, as he grabbed her hands before he left. “I’ll make it happen.”
“How? Why are you so insistent -?” Your voice was raising and tears threatened to spill, and the next thing you knew, Ace had pulled you into your arms, holding you as tight as he possibly could.
“Because you are my destiny,” he said firmly. “Whether I’m a pirate, or a marine, or simply a man - I’ll rewrite the stars if I have to because you are mine.”
But that day never came, and you felt as if the world went dark, as his flame died. You watched as the last of the embers were carried off by the wind, as well as the shattered pieces of your heart.

Hello there!!
Really adore your "Too Soft to be a Pirate" work!! It's beyond incredible! I can't thank you for such a lovely piece!
Saw your requests are open, so here's my silly little thought:
Izzy Hands x Reader. Mutual pining. Fluff.
Besides being a certified badass, Reader is also a skilled artist. Stede, ever the enjoyer of art, buys the necessary supplies. Here come the portraits, landscapes and so on.
During some moment of quiet on the ship, Izzy is looking for the Reader and finds them in one of the somewhat secluded rooms of the Revenge, making a portrait of Mr. Hands himself.
They talk their pining through as a crew. Maybe even kiss about it lol.
Thank you for you works once again <3
Tumblr media
Thank you for all the kind words @imchloefuckingprice-blog <3 I wrote the first part of this in Lucius's point of view, because he's the best when two people don't know how to express their feelings. I hope this was what you were looking for.
Izzy Hands x Reader (GN)
Masterlist
A Brush of Fate
Lucius prided himself on his keen observational skills. After all, he had recognized Stede and Ed’s feelings for each other long before they did. Now, his perceptive gaze focused on the unmistakable connection between you and Izzy. One night, while Lucius sketched and you painted, you opened up to him about your feelings for Izzy. Despite Lucius reassurances, you remained unsure about Izzy reciprocating your emotions. You insisted to Lucius that Izzy was still caught up in his feelings for Blackbeard. However, Lucius saw Izzy’s lingering gaze directed toward you from across the deck, noting his subtle attentiveness as he went out of his way to help you with tasks around the ship.
The more Lucius thought about the relationship between you and Izzy, the more it seemed to fall into place. Your undeniable skill with a sword and adept sailing skills meant you never pissed Izzy off like the other members of Bonnet’s crew. You were a certified badass and your artistic talents formed a quick bond between you and Lucius. You were Lucius’s favorite person on board, second only to Black Pete. Lucius believed Izzy would have to be an idiot not to have feelings for you. However, in Lucius’s opinion, Izzy frequently displayed behaviors that bordered on idiocy.
“What are you working on today, babes?” Lucius inquired with a smirk as he entered the former ballroom, closing the door behind him. Lucius already knew the answer, observing a subtle shade of red flash across your face.
In response, you turned the easel to face him and the doorway. Lucius gazed upon the beautiful portrait of Izzy hands before him, experiencing a pang of pity for its painter.
As a thought crossed Lucius’s mind, he burst into laughter. “I can’t imagine what Stede would say if he knew you were using the paint supplies he bought you to create that. I feel like he would have a conniption.”
After laying eyes on one of your small paintings, Stede had purchased supplies for you, hoping you would help replace the artworks lost on The Revenge during the era of the kraken. He confided in both you and Lucius, expressing his desire to make the ship feel like home once again. He wanted things to get back to normal and to help Edward feel comfortable.
“I made those for Stede,” you remarked, and Lucius followed your finger to two paintings leaning against the ship wall to dry. One depicted The Revenge, and Lucius couldn’t help but marvel at the delicate details of the ship, rolling his eyes at your undeniable talent. The other showcased Ed, dressing in his exquisite purple attire from the night of the fancy party. You even included the tiny purple bows adorning his beard.
“He’ll actually love those,” Lucius huffed, surprised to find no sarcastic comment to direct at the paintings. Playfully, he rested his chin on your shoulder from behind as you both admired the portrait of Izzy. “Now, who will this portrait go to?” Lucius teased.
“No one. I’ll probably paint over it once I’m done.”
“Why are you painting it then?” Lucius asked, disappointment evident in his tone. The portrait was beautiful, and he hoped you would give it to Izzy, finally admitting your true feelings.
“I thought that if I painted Izzy, his face would get out of my head,” you replied quietly, and Lucius couldn’t help but hear the vulnerability in your voice.
Lucius empathized with that line of thinking, but in a slightly different way. He recalled how he had sketched Blackbeard’s face for weeks, only to be snapped out of it by Black Pete. “I get that,” Lucius replied, pursing his lips and scrunching his face, before lifting his sketchbook to reveal one of the many drawings of Blackbeard.
He observed the relief that washed over your face at being understood, forming a smile at the drawings. “Flower Blackbeard was my favorite,” you chuckled.
“Maybe…” Lucius lingered, playfully bumping his hip into yours. “You should give Izzy the painting, and that’ll get him out of your head” he suggested with a mischievous glint in his eye.
You responded with a sarcastic laugh, accompanied by a roll of your eyes. Lucius dropped his playful expression, reciprocating with a roll of his eyes. Deep down, he just wanted you to be happy. Over the past few weeks, Izzy had grown on him, and while he may not have thought Izzy deserved you, it was clear that he was always occupying your thoughts.
“I’ll leave you to moping and painting then,” Lucius said, patting your shoulder before heading out of the ballroom with a clear objective in mind.
He found Izzy in the hallway leading to the captain’s quarters, gazing at one of your new paintings Stede had just hung up. This sight caused Lucius to smirk; he knew he was right about how Izzy felt about you. Determined to push you two together, he decided he would do everything he could to make it happen. Lucius was tired of seeing you unhappy when all that seemed necessary was to talk it through.
“Pretty good, right?” Lucius slid into the spot next to Izzy, crossing his arms and directing his gaze at the painting. The painting depicted a simple sunset over the water, yet it radiated a quiet beauty.
Izzy only replied with a grunt, clearly annoyed that Lucius had caught him staring at your painting.
“I didn’t know you were such a lover of art, Iggy,” Lucius continued, attempting to poke at him further. “You and Stede must have so much to discuss.”
“What the fuck do you want, twatty?” Izzy snapped in response.
“There’s a leak in the ballroom,” Despite his usual quick-witted nature, he knew this lie lacked conviction.
“Why the fuck is that my problem?” Izzy grumbled.
“Blackbeard told me to tell you, so you could fix it.” Lucius’s arms involuntarily squeezed more tightly across his chest as he lied, but he tried to relax once he noticed.
“Well… you told me, so fuck off.”
“Oh, absolutely,” Lucius quickly retreated from the conversation, hoping his lie was convincing enough to get Izzy to go where he needed him. Lucius perched himself on one of the mast tops, carefully watching the direction Izzy departed. When he noticed Izzy heading toward the ballroom, Lucius bit his lip with anticipation.
⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓⚓
Izzy slowly wandered down the hallway, heading towards the ballroom, frustrated at being the one who always had to fix the ship’s problems. He was even more annoyed by Lucius teasing him about you. He couldn’t help but stare at your painting. It was beautiful, just like you. If it was so obvious to Lucius how Izzy felt about you, then you must be aware of it too. Perhaps it was some inside joke between the two of you. Izzy had held feelings for you for quite some time now, witnessing how you found beauty in the small details that most people would overlook. Your ability to turn the mundane into lovely paintings had captivated him, and with each stroke of your brush, his admiration for you grew.
Feeling discouraged, Izzy had almost decided to give up on his feelings for you when he opened the door to the ballroom and found you immersed in painting. He was taken aback for a moment, not realizing that this was where you created your art, and then confused about why Lucius had sent him here. There were no visible leaks in sight. That’s when he saw a portrait of himself staring back at him. His jaw dropped as he tried to understand the meaning behind the painting.
“Fuck off, Lucius,” he heard you say as you continued to paint, not turning towards the sound of the door opening. Izzy contemplated whether he should leave, feeling like he had interrupted a private moment. However, in his moment of indecision, you turned around to face him. Izzy observed your eyes widen in surprise, followed by your cheeks blushing a deep shade of scarlet. “You’re not Lucius,” you whispered quietly, regaining your composure.
Izzy tried to rack his brain, attempting to find a reason why you would be painting him, but he couldn’t come up with a single explanation. A moment of silence stretched between you both as you stared at each other, waiting for the other to speak. Izzy glanced over at the two other paintings in the room. “Are these for Bonnet?” he questioned, gesturing towards all the paintings.
“Those two are. This one is just something I’m doing for fun,” you replied, and Izzy sensed the nervousness in your demeanor as you spoke.
“Why?” Izzy inquired.
“I feel like you have a face that’s worth being painted,” you whispered.
Izzy didn’t know how to respond to your words; they seemed sincere, but this whole scenario didn’t make sense to him. Why did Lucius send him here? Taking a moment to examine you, he noticed you were in an old, oversized shirt covered in paint. As he gazed at your face, he observed a bit of paint smeared across your nose. He wasn’t sure what information he was trying to glean, but he also enjoyed just looking at you.
Realizing he had been staring at you for too long without a response, Izzy quickly found his words. “Lucius told me there was a leak in this room.”
Izzy watched your face contort from one of nervousness to annoyance.
“Of course he did,” you snapped. Izzy observed as you dropped the paintbrush onto a nearby stoll where your paint sat, glancing towards the door as if you were going to find Lucius yourself to teach him a lesson. “There’s no leak, Izzy.”
Finally, the pieces snapped together in Izzy’s mind. Lucius’s teasing remark and him sending Izzy to find you painting a picture of him–it was all part of a big joke, and he realized he was the butt of it. Izzy felt anger rising within him. He never expected you to treat him like this, and the revelation left him feeling both hurt and surprised.
“Oh, I see. You and Mr. Spriggs are joking around and wasting my time,” Izzy spat as he began to turn towards the door to leave.
“Wait, Iz.” Izzy felt your light grip on his arm, pausing at your touch. “Lucius knows how I feel about you, so I think this was his way of forcing me to tell you. I’m not trying to waste your time or play a joke on you.”
“How do you feel about me?” Izzy whispered quickly. He felt his demeanor instantly soften and turned back towards you.
“I like you, Israel Hands,” you said steadily, your big eyes gazing into his, seeming to search for any sort of reaction.
When he gave none, you grabbed Izzy’s hand, leading him towards the painting, gesturing to your work as you spoke. “On the outside, ruggedly handsome, worn by the sea, tough but your eyes… There’s a gentleness you can see in your eyes. The way they soften when you talk about something you love, the subtle warmth they hold when you smile. I like you because I see a complexity in you, Izzy– a blend of strength and tenderness that intrigues me.”
Izzy turned towards you, prompting you to face him. His fingers reached up to gently trace the paint on your nose. You closed your eyes at his touch, opening them to meet his gaze once his hand fell from your face. “Paint?” you asked in a soft whisper.
“I like how you look… even with paint on your face. Especially with paint on your face.” Izzy confessed, his tone tender. “I like you.”
Izzy gazed down, captivated, as a sweet smile stretched across your face. His eyes lingered on your lips, attempting to memorize their shape and color. A silent anticipation filled the space between you, Izzy pondering the sensation of your lips against his, the curiosity and desire swirling within him. You closed the gap between you, your lips meeting his in a tender kiss. The connection was soft and sweet. Time seemed to stand still as your lips gently explored the contours of Izzy’s.
“I fucking knew it,” Lucius’s voice rang out from the hallway in delight.
Izzy immediately let go of you, worried about your reaction to Lucius seeing you with him. You only replied with a giggle, shutting the door quickly. “Fuck off, Lucius,” you sang playfully.
As your arms warped around Izzy, pulling him in for another kiss, he heard Lucius’s annoyed voice through the door. “I feel like I deserve a thank you, at least.”
For the first time, Izzy was thankful to Mr. Spriggs for sticking his nose into everyone’s business. Thanks to him, he was getting to hold you in his arms, instead of just having to admire you from afar. You had told Izzy he had a face worth painting, but in Izzy’s mind, you yourself were a work of art.

Oh, Sweet Child of Mine (Pt. 6)
Platonic Yandere Whitebeard Crew & Reader-Insert
Main|First|Previous
Warnings: References to past drugging and implied violence/offscreen death. Platonic Yandere behavior is still present, but more in the background for this chapter.
If yandere content in any way disturbs you, please do block the tag "oh sweet child of mine" as well as the appropriate variations of "yandere one piece". Do not tolerate this behavior in real life.
Stay safe and have fun.
Hopefully the next update will be a bit longer before we get to the actual plot of this whole storyline. If you have any desired character interactions among the Whitebeard Crew before the fruit incident, please let me know cause I've only got about one more update in me before that otherwise.

Word Count: 1,520
On the third day Marco apparently forgave Twin-Blade for his ‘tea transgression’—not that you did—and decided it was alright for him to meet you properly.
Twin-Blade, despite his reputation as a commander and chef on the Moby Dick, was probably the biggest goofball you’ve ever met. Undeniably charming in a practiced way that felt almost natural until he slipped up and revealed he was actually a bit of a dweeb. And very concerned about your food intake. Something about not being a healthy weight for his liking. Truthfully, you just… weren’t comfortable eating too much food after drinking what you thought was innocent tea. So anytime you did eat and he happened to be keeping an eye on you, you ate less as a precaution.
Marco noticed and had taken to smacking Twin-Blade’s head when he spent too long looking in your direction. Though certainly too old for it, he whined and cried to his nearest brother for Marco’s cruelty. Once he even tried to console himself by hugging you but your expression of distaste just made him cry for real. You’d feel bad but…
He did drug your tea once. Once is more than enough in your book.
On the fifth day you’d been tentatively allowed to eat in the mess hall with the rest of the crew as opposed to in the kitchens under Marco’s unnervingly attentive eye. He still visibly preened when you addressed him and had yet to correct you about anyone else’s title—you suspect as a bragging point but thinking too hard on the matter weirded you out.
Regardless, you found yourself grateful that you didn’t eat near Fire Fist. The way the young man shoveled food into his mouth and aggressively went to stab anyone reaching too close to his plate was horrifying. The meat and potatoes stood no chance under his ravenous appetite despite having a plate three times as stacked as anyone else. There was pie for dessert as well, and usually you’d be all for it, but Twin-Blade seemed keen to know your reaction to the treat. Almost as glutenous as Fire Fist, the man seated next to you was trying to cajole his opposing seat mate for his dessert.
Large and with many braids in his pitch-black beard and hair, he laughed every time he was denied in good nature. His dark eyes met yours and he grinned cheerfully.
“Zehahahaha~! You going to eat that?” He pointed to the still untouched plate of cherry pie. You grimaced, glancing at Twin-Blade from several tables over.
“I think Twin-Blade would cry if I didn’t…” You paused for only a moment before sliding the dessert to the pirate. “Have at it.”
He cackled loudly but didn’t think twice about eating the slice.
“Zehahahaha! Now that’s cold to our poor commander! What did he do to you, marine?” He winked, polishing off the plate with clear satisfaction.
You looked at Twin-Blade, his expression crestfallen as he laid his head onto Flintlock Pistol’s shoulder. The immaculately dressed man seemed to roll his eyes and give you a dry look. Clearly blaming you for his current predicament. You smiled back.
“He knows what he did.”
You didn’t want to be here. The least they could do was let you have small victories to yourself. Fire Fist suddenly shoved himself in beside you, arm resting over your shoulder as he scooped up what little you hadn’t eaten yet.
“He really is sorry, you know.” Fire Fist murmured between bites, catching you as your nose wrinkled in distaste.
“It’s the principle of the matter, Fire Fist.” You huffed, finding yourself awkward crammed between Fire Fist’s too hot body and the man that liked cherry pie a lot.
A heavy hand thumped you back as he laughed.
“Zehahahaha! Let them give Commander Thatch a hard time for a bit. I think he’s enjoying having an excuse to be dramatic for once.” He laughed. “I’m Teach, by the way! Zehahaha!”
He was an awful jolly sort of pirate, wasn’t he?
“And call me Ace already! Marco’s been so mean lately about you only using his name. What’d he do to earn that, anyhow?”
You huffed, cheeks hot as you grumbled.
“… he’s a very pretty bird.”
That sent the entire table into a fit of laughter. Fire Fist choked on his own laughter.
“W-Would you forgive him if he wore cat ears?” Fire Fist cackled.
You couldn’t help but glance at the man in question. Cat ears, huh?
You stopped breathing, your lips pressed together in a firm line as you fought against the sheer ridiculousness of the image that appeared in your head.
They’re pirates!
They kidnapped you!
You are a marine on a Yonko ship!
Wearing cat ears to make up for drugging your tea means nothing!
…Would he wear it on his head or the top of his pompadour?
Your body shook, sounds of concern growing around you as you covered your face. Desperate to hide the wide grin at the mental image. The worst part is that you’re not convinced that he wouldn’t do it by now either.
“H-Hey, it’s alright! I-I’m sorry?!” Ace whispered desperately, rubbing your back.
You snorted, giggling breathlessly as your glasses fogged up. Tears in your eyes as you laughed uncontrollably. Distantly, you wondered if this is what a mental breakdown felt like. The stress from your situation finally cracking you like an egg. Not quite round the bend for crazy town, you shook your head.
“I-It wouldn’t h-help! Ahah~snck!” You whispered breathlessly, smacking Ace’s hands away as you tried to bury your face in your arms. Anytime you managed to regain control it was ruined by looking at Ace’s beaming grin. “S-Stop looking at me like tha-aat~! Snck-gh~!”
“I don’t know… you seem to think it’s pretty funny~” Ace cooed as you shook your head.
“Ssshuut up! Shut up!” You cried out, wiping your eyes and gasping for air. After several more moments you finally manged to calm down. Only to look at Ace with a wobbly smile. “Do you think he’d wear it on his pompadour?”
Ace froze. His face growing red as he glanced at Twin-Blade and back at you several times.
Finally, he cracked, sending you both into hysterics again.
“See! Look, Izooouu! They are laughing at me!” You heard Twin-Blade cry out from across the room as you collapsed against Ace’s side. The logia user wheezing with tears in his eyes.
Not even Whitebeard joining in with his own laughter could ruin the moment.
You hadn’t laughed this hard in ages. All your marine comrades either too distant, busy, or dicks to joke around with.
You snagged a newspaper to hide your face better. Foggy glasses obscuring the headline about a ‘crackdown of justice’ in Paradise with brutal and swift executions.
Distantly, you wondered if your superiors had some sort of plan to rescue you or if they’d given up. It wasn’t just any crew that had you, after all.
--*--
“I’m afraid that right now we can’t afford to directly confront Whitebeard, I’m sorry—” Sengoku was cut off by a fist driving into the wall of his office. He glared at the younger man, knuckles white before he relaxed. Taking a deep breath before continuing. “I understand your frustration. But they can’t drift at sea forever. Eventually they’ll have to dock. We can stage a rescue once we have better intelligence on their movements. You are dismissed.”
The chair was violently thrown back as the man stormed out, teeth clenched as he hissed out a bitter acknowledgement.
The temperature of his office took quite some time to right itself despite the open door and windows.
Sengoku looked over at the Ensign’s file again and sighed before closing it shut and putting it away.
He hoped that the young marine was alright. While Whitebeard had a much more… benevolent reputation, he was still a pirate. And the marine had quite the impressive devil fruit to exploit. He almost asked Garp to retrieve them but didn’t want to risk a powered-up Yonko crew retaliating against his old friend—even if Garp would find it a fun sport. Who knew what kind of things Whitebeard would be capable of with his devil fruit even more powerful? He shuddered to think about it. Let alone the many other devil fruits on the Yonko crew.
He'd just have to have faith that a more subtle approach would work. They couldn’t risk putting out a ‘alive only’ bounty to rescue the marine. Too many questions. And if the other Yonko get word before they are safely secured with their originally planned partner, it could throw the entire Grand Line into chaos. Sengoku shuddered to think of what things Charlotte Linlin or Kaido could be capable of with more power. At least Whitebeard hasn’t seen fit to take over an entire country.
Sengoku would just take what he could get at this point… and look for faster, quiet solutions to his problem before a loose canon burns through the Grand Line to solve it himself.

TITLE: what the ocean stole WORD COUNT: 1.7k DESCRIPTION: after finding arlin in the black sea, chip is forced to choose between saving him, or saving gillion. CW: major character death, the usual depictions of heart-wrenching grief that u see in j rune fics, strap in. credits to @lesbianchipbastard and @keysinthecouch for the pain they've caused /lh
Chip could see him. He’s everything he had remembered.
Arlin James stood before him like a personified memory, a body encapsulating everything warm, everything kind. His childhood memories had opened their arms to him, offering solace from a world that had been so cruel, and the solace came in the shape of a familiar Goliath. A Goliath that Chip had dreamt of seeing again since he was ten, since the ship he called home had been swallowed by the unforgiving mouth of the Black Sea. In a world that was barbaric, that was wretched, he still had the escape of imagining seeing Arlin again.
It was selfish, he knew it, but there was always a deep-rooted part of him wondering why he was the only one on the ship without closure. Jay had Drey back. Gillion had lived to see his grandfather again. But Chip? He had a memory, a childhood figure that lingered in his memories like a spirit.
But there Arlin stood, cloaked in darkness, but unmistakable.
His beard had grown out beyond a bit of whispy stubble, peppered in gray, but it was still Arlin.
His eyes, once lively and gentle, were painted with darkness from the lack of sleep. But it was still Arlin.
He’d changed. He’d grown. The years had gone by. But god dammit, it was still Arlin.
But it wasn’t that simple.
Why could it never be so simple? Why had the world insisted on ripping everything kind from him?
Chip wondered, vaguely, if he was meant to be another ghost, lost to the ocean’s arms.
**
It’s like he’s waving in and out of consciousness.
He tastes blood. He thinks it’s his own. When had he bitten down on his tongue? What words did he have to swallow back?
He hears it. A command. A bellow from a voice he does not recognize. Both Arlin and Gillion stood before him, grappled.
It’s your choice, pirate. Your past, or your present.
One must go. One will return to the surface.
Chip couldn’t feel his own face.
**
Chip had once dreamed of the world where Arlin would join them on the ship, a part of the crew. His crew. Their crew. The dream was so child-like in nature, like a piece of his younger self was still living in his ribcage, begging to be released one, final time. He would’ve showed Arlin everything. He would’ve told him every story, every adventure. I fought monsters. I defended my friends. Gillion tried to kill me once, too, can you believe that? I kissed him, too - Gods - I grew up, Arlin, but I carried you with me. The entire time.
Everyone’s waiting for you, do you know that?
I was waiting for you.
He didn’t want to think of a world apart from Arlin ever again.
Gillion and Arlin were barely ten feet away, but they felt miles apart. Chip could taste the bitterness of their distance. He wants to reach forward. To touch. To prove.
He can’t.
**
If you had asked him this same question years ago - Gillion or Arlin? - he would’ve said Arlin without a moment’s hesitation. Before he’d ever thought of pulling the triton onto the ship.
How long ago had that been? Chip could barely remember. The memory came in flashes of color, of feeling. The color of Gillion’s sea-kissed skin hitting the light of the afternoon sun. The sensation of his cool fingers intertwining with Chip’s. The moment of their eyes first meeting, deep brown meeting cerulean, the sea crashing into the shore.
Jay had been so insistant on letting him go. He’d felt like a child, begging his mother to let him keep a stray cat he’d found, but both of them knew it was meant to be more than that. Gillion Tidestrider had left his mark on that ship the day he’d first set foot on the deck.
He would’ve been alright, living in a world where it was just the three of them.
He would never be so lucky.
**
The past or the present.
One will remain.
Chip could practically taste the guilt that rose in his throat like burning hot bile. It rises from his chest, fogs up his mind, blurs his eyes with unshed tears. A captain doesn’t cry in front of his crew, but Chip wasn’t confident that he wasn’t about to shatter.
Past or present.
He’s meant to choose.
Instead, with a broken, trembling whisper, Chip shakes his head.
With his eyes squeezed shut, he hears Jay screaming. He wishes he had the voice to apologize to her.
I’m sorry, Sureshot. I know you’ll be more of a captain than I could’ve been.
I know you’ll rip this ocean the fuck apart. I know you’ll lead with the same fire you live with. I know you’ll be the most revered pirate this side of the Black Sea.
And I hope you forget about me. For your sake. For their sake.
For my sake. If you’ll let me be selfish, one last time.
**
When Chip came to again, he’s left to the mercy of the darkness.
There’s a body beside him. Breathing shallow. Hitching, desperate tears. Teal skin. Webbed fingers, holding onto his legs, curled up like a frightened child.
He recognized the sound, and found himself reaching forward, skin meeting skin. Gillion sat beside him.
“Gillion-?”
No. No. It wasn’t meant to be like this. He’d given up his own life for two others. Gillion was meant to go and do what he always did - fight. Live. Thrive. He was meant to live decades on. But he sat beside Chip in a trembling heap.
It clicks all at once.
Chip wants to throw up.
“No, no, no-” he hurries to his knees, reaching for Gillion, blindly groping towards a shadow. “You aren’t supposed to be here - where’s Jay? You need to be with Jay, what the fuck are you thinking? I made my choice!”
There’s a piece of him that wishes he had the ability to ignite that same anger from months ago, the same anger that drove Gillion to press a sword against his throat, surrounded by an arena of ice. That anger would be strong enough to separate them. That anger would be enough to taint Gillion’s memory of Chip, to keep the grief from soaking into his bones.
Gillion inhaled. His breath shook. Chip no longer knew if it was from the pain or from tears - he couldn’t see.
“And I made my choice alongside you,” he replied. “I would rather die beside you than simply die knowing you.”
“But-”
“No.” He speaks with such certainty. A martyr, dying the way he was meant to.
“You could have lived, you could’ve done so much-”
“Not without you by my side.”
“-you could’ve settled down when you were older, you could’ve forgotten about me-”
“Forgotten about you?” It’s the one phrase that shakes Gillion to his core. “You think I could have forgotten about you?”
There’s no filter left for him to use. He spills it all like he’s bleeding himself dry.
“I was already dead,” he says, “I - I was just another captain, you and Jay - fuck, you would’ve been so much better off without me. What the fuck was I going to do in a few years? I don’t have anything-”
If he could see Gillion’s face, he’d see the budding tears. The tightness of his jaw. Shedding the same tears that flowed heavy down Chip’s face. Chip heaved a sob. The air felt too thick for him to properly choke down.
If he could see Gillion’s face, he’d see the way he watched Chip with solumness. Heartbreak.
But never pity.
“You were everything, Chip,” Gillion said, as he reached a hand out and intertwined their fingers together in the dark. “And I will die blessed to know you and to love you.”
Chip doesn’t know which word lingers longer. Was seemed to leave the same handprint on his soul that Love did.
Like he was already gone. Like the love they shared was already in the distant past.
Perhaps he was made to rot the same way he lived; lingering with overwhelming, soul-encapsulating love.
**
Jay Ferin would spend her life in the open sea, leading a crew all older than her. In the back of her mind, there would always be the need to find the final resting place of her two closest companions. Two bodies lost to time, lost to the sea. She hopes death is merciful. That the afterlife, if there may be one, is kinder than the world they once resided in.
She doesn’t have the same hope that Chip once did for Arlin.
Arlin.
She’s so certain he would’ve been such a kindhearted man, a joy to be around, if she’d met him under different circumstances. He’d lived his life wracked with guilt, stuck in a memory of a son he never truly got to reunite with.
If the crew ever returned to Zero, if they ever met Ollie again, she knew he would ask where the other two were. He’d ask in the same, gentle way that he always had. Miss Jay, where did the others go? Are Chip and Gillion coming over on a different boat? That’s so cool!
She wouldn’t know how to tell him otherwise.
And lord - Lizzie. The way her face had fallen so knowingly when she’d seen them. A crew with two missing. Perhaps working with Chip had given her some semblance of hope, and death had done what it always did: ripped it away.
She didn’t even want to think about meeting Edyn again. That day would come. She’d see the empty space where Gillion Tidestrider had once been, and she would see the ghost of a martyr.
She’d sleep beside Chip’s old jacket and Gillion’s sword until then. And she’d whisper to the stars, as if they were there to respond to her. As if they were standing beside Ava in the night sky. As if they were all drinking on the deck again, dreaming of another world. Another adventure. Another Riptide Pirate’s promise.
She’d fuck shit up for as long as she could. But it wasn’t with them.

Note
Ok, ok, I'm in NEED to have a alternative version of Shirohige!Sanji where Thatch, Whitebeard, Ace and Izou don't die.
Like, Sanji finds Thatch stabed and is able to go at Marco for help. So Thatch stay in a coma during some months.
Whitebeard is saved but still is deeply hurt, same with Izou.
(+ After Wano, WB calls the StrawHat's for a party and they're chocked to see/know Sanji is Newgate's last brat)
You ask and you shall receive! Also Ace doesn't die in the og Shirohige!Sanji just the other three(sometimes not Izou). Also it's long!
Sanji finding Thatch and just barely getting Marco to him in time but he's comatose. Ace and Sanji go hunt down Teach as usual and the normal shenanigans occur. Everything is the same up until Marineford. Sanji still distracts Akainu but he also manages to get Teach's attention and saves White Beard. He's running ragged as the war rages and he's fighting Akainu and Teach and then Kizaru joins in until Shanks comes and ends the war. Sanji is so tired he basically collapses and he's put on the Red Force because the Shirohige have left after assuming they took who they could. Shanks tells him it's going to hurt and it's going to suck but it's best to let everyone think he's dead for the time being. Sanji agrees as he's dropped off at Momoiro.
When the Shirohige can't find Sanji they mourn but White Beard tells Ace that if Sanji is meeting the Strawhats in two years time that he and Ace are to join. Ace nods his understanding and has to wait. During the time Thatch wakes up and they celebrate. They keep waiting for news but don't hear any.
Ace is surprised Zoro greets him and they're still waiting on the rest of the crew. When Sanji arrives Ace is all over him and checking him over while Sanji assures him he's okay, he can go back to the fleet, he's in one piece. Ace is just like 'yeah, were not going to the fleet, Pops ordered us to be here.' which doesn't make sense to Sanji but he won't argue. Ace also lets him know the fleet is okay, even after the run in with Teach. When Ace tells Luffy he is promptly tackled by the younger. They set course for fishman island and everything is par for the course except Ace is there.
Like ASL reunite and Sabo is apologizing to Ace for his lost and Ace is confused until he realizes that Sanji is still thought to be dead by almost everyone. So then he explains his husband is not dead which leads to Sabo screaming about him being married and then Ace had to explain that he's technically not but everyone always said they were. Law asks how Sanji even made it off Marineford and Ace shrugs. When they get to Zou and Nami and Chopper are apologizing to him Ace just groans because he's going to get a thorough lashing from the fleet for losing Sanji. Again.
And so the crew splits again and Ace is headed to Wano and he sees Izou and he's so fucking excited until Izou looks at him and asks where his husband is. Ace is like 'something, something, his last is Vinsmoke? I need to make it Portgas ASAP.' and Izou is sighing. When they come back with Sanji Izou is giving him a talking to and Ace is happy it's not him. After the raid, with Ace being there Izou is saved and Marco is chatting happily with everyone when they're awake and partying and the marriage happens, finally.
"By the way, Pops wants you guys to come party." Marco says as they're leaving Wano and the hats agree. They pull up and everyone is descending on them as Marco elatedly tells everyone he got to marry them and White Beard looks furious at the first commander is giving him a shit eating grin.
"You married off my last brat when I wasn't there?!" He roars and Marco starts losing it as he nods. The Strawhat crew is looking at Sanji who had passively mentioned being a brat of the Shirohige but not the last one.
"Hey, Old Man, can we focus on the fact Sanji is, ya know, alive? And was a Vinsmoke?" Thatch says as he eyes Sanji who shrinks under the gaze.
"Yeah, how did you get off Marineford?" Marco asks turning to Sanji because he didn't get that info during the check up.
"Shanks and his grabbed me after I basically collapsed after fighting those admiral fucks forever." Sanji answers.
"And where were you?" White Beard asks as he gives the baby a stern look.
"Momoiro." Sanji shrugs.
"Crossdressing is a good way to hide who you are." Izou nods.
"As if Sanji's gender hasn't been something of a question since before he burned the deck." Marco says as he rubs his face.
"Wait, you burned the deck?" Ace asks Sanji.
"I was training and then I was on fire!" Sanji yells in defense.
"Wait, did you know about Germa?" Thatch asks Marco.
"I'm the doctor, also Pops ordered me to never tell anyone." Marco argued.
"I can't believe the baby is not dead, got married, and was a Vinsmoke." Jozu says as the chaos truly starts. Once everyone is satisfied Sanji is alive and well they start passing out food and drinks and partying. The Strawhats are seeing how emperors party and Jinbei has been around long enough to know and he's talking with some of the fishmen in the fleet. Zoro loves the booze and Luffy is spoiled by how much food there is.
They're celebrating the alliance, the marriage, Sanji being alive, and Wano. It's a long party. It's a very long party. It's at least four more days of partying for them. Luffy is asking Sanji and then as they're leaving if it's something they can do and Sanji gestures at Nami because she's in charge of the money. Nami immediately tells him no.

zl fic idea
Tumblr media
hii everyone i wrote something yesterday about an au idea i had for zolu and. i thought i'd share it here since its a bit too messy and disjointed in places to post on like. ao3 or something.
4.7k words, warning for temporary major character death but do not worry all will be fixed in due time. i'll put the rest under the cut
ok i have an idea for an au thats like kind of reincarnation but like reality displacement but like. okay just listen.
so we start at laughtale. its a couple years into the future from where we are in canon the strawhats are achieving their dreams luffy is about to find the one piece theres a big battle happening between them and the blackbeard pirates and whoever the fuck else is there idc. the rest of the strawhats are fighting the bb crew while luffy and zoro head off to find the one piece and also end up fighting black beard himself. luffy and zoro atp r like basically a thing but they never talk about it cuz theyre luffy and zoro and they kind of just exist with each other but like. theyre basically in love and everyone knows it. anyway they go off together luffy has the one piece almost in his grasp blackbeard attacks they fight its a big battle blood is shed bones are broken uumm in my mind luffy and zoro are like teaming up against bb bc his devil fruit is lowk broken and op and like ok theres gear5 too but i didnt rly consider that so lets just assume bb’s devil fruit can negate gear5 somehow or luffy exhausts it before bb is fully defeated.
finally theyre able to knock bb down and hes out and theyre both tired and worn but they DID IT and the one piece is luffys and theyre facing each other grinning ear to ear and zoros saying “you ready, king of the pirates?” and luffy laughs and goes “not just yet zoro, i still gotta-“ and then theres a spear piercing right through his chest. and in the next moment its gone.
theres a gaping hole through his captain and theres blood, theres so much blood and luffy’s still smiling like he hasnt realized it yet, like it hasnt even registered. zoros ears are ringing and he doesnt know what to make of whats hes seeing because its just not real, it CANT be.
he looks over luffy’s shoulder and blackbeard is on the ground with his hand outstretched , black energy coiling back into his form and he’s laughing and laughing with bloodstained teeth. hes fucking laughing. one moment zoro is still standing parallel to luffy and the next hes in front of blackbeard and the mans head is rolling through the dirt and gravel, wado dripping crimson, a terrible gap toothed grin still stretching the man’s cheeks.
zoro is breathing heavy, hes trembling and hes almost mesmerized by the blood pooling around a lacerated neck— then he’s remembering luffy and turning around and calling his name and he can see right through him theres a HOLE right through him and he chokes and stumbles and rushes to his side right as luffy starts to crumple to the floor . catches him and lowers him gently and doesnt know what to say.
hes still shaking but cant move his mouth and everything is muffled, the sounds from the battle outside are distant and they dont matter but what does he do. what does he do.
he snaps out of it when luffy gently calls his name. a strong “zoro,” like hes not fazed at all. like there isnt blood soaking into zoros clothes.
his brain kickstarts and he’s speaking. saying things like “youre ok you’ll be ok” and “choppers right outside i’ll just call him and he’ll fix you right up” and “you always bounce back, right captain?” and hes thinking “dont die please dont fucking die. not now, not when we’re this close please dont fucking die” and hes silently praying to all the gods he doesnt believe in but luffy calls his name again and his mouth clicks shut. luffys saying it’ll be fine, that he had fun. that hes proud to have made it this far with all of them. and those sound a lot like parting words so zoro’s shaking his head no but luffy is still smiling. hes saying that hes glad he had zoro, that he made him happy. hes saying to tell everyone he’s glad they met, that hes glad they all had each other, that he knows theyll be just fine .
zoro wants to say that luffy should tell that to them himself, when hes wrapped up and recovering and alive but his mouth is glued shut again and he feels that interrupting luffy now would be cursing him to death, like his words are the only thing keeping him tethered here, he just needs to get him to keep talking to stay awake.
he tries to smile but it comes out ugly and wrong and he feels his lip wobble so he drops it. he settles on rubbing his thumb on luffys shoulder. something to keep him here.
so he rubs and luffy talks little things until he cant anymore. until his eyes grow dull and his skin loses its warmth and still zoro rubs and he rubs.
thats how law finds them. zoro hunched over a body that should never be as still as it is. and its really no surprise hes there, hes been gunning for the one piece since the time he could captain a ship (or a submarine) but it all feels so wrong.
zoro either doesnt notice him or doesnt care, but either way the man doesnt acknowledge law until he’s right behind him. its not like law can say anything to announce himself either, not after seeing the state of the body that zoros currently holding. the body that used to be luffy’s. hes still processing it all when the other man(the one whos alive) finally speaks.
zoro asks if hes got a devil fruit. less of a question and more of a statement, but he should know anyway since theyve spent considerable time together and hes literally seen him use it. law cant unstick his jaw so he hums in affirmation. “and you can switch stuffs’ places?” another hum. “what about time.”
that makes law pause. “what?” his voice comes out stronger than he feels.
“what about time? can you switch things in time?” by this point law has awakened his devil fruit or some shit dont sweat the logistics but hes never tried anything of that sort so he kind of stumbles “im not- maybe? ive never attempted-“ zoro interrupts “send me back”
“what?”
“send me back so i can fix this. you can do that, right.” it clicks. law would pity zoro if he didnt know any better, instead he just feels mounting despair and resignation.
he may not be crew, but he knew luffy too, he was allied with the man for fucks sake, and this just feels- wrong. he sighs, a tired, heavy thing.
“what about your crew?” its useless. zoros as stubborn as his captain, with arguably a handful more screws loose. “it wont matter. they’ll never know because i’ll make sure this doesnt happen.” he still hasnt turned around. law doesnt know what expression hes making and hes sure he never wants to find out.
hes ready to deny it, cut his losses and head for the one piece himself (hes not heartless, but if he stands here any longer and has to look at. well. he think he might never be able to move again) but then he really thinks about it. could he? would it even be possible? surely this isnt the way things were supposed to go, surely this isnt right. luffys never been one who was supposed to die just like that, like this, law knows that much. he thinks hes going to regret this, but he counts it as one last thank you for everything luffy did for him.
youre gonna owe me big time strawhat-ya. if i even remember this, that is.
he puffs a breath “i can try. i cant- promise anything but. i think we both know this,” he makes a vague, weak gesture, “isnt right.”
zoro doesnt say anything, law didnt expect him to. he just bows his head slightly and law takes that as the acknowledgment it is.
he brings his hand up, “dont do anything stupid, zoro-ya. or, at least, make it stupid enough to bring him back.”
he positions his fingers in way so familiar, but the weight of it now is nearly unbearable.
room.
shambles
zoro’s world shatters, differently than before, and then theres nothing.
he wakes up in bed, bleary eyed and a pounding headache assaulting his senses. his alarm clock is going off which only adds to the drumbeat against his eyes. he grumbles and whacks around aimlessly to shut it off. the silence lasts a moment before his eyes fly open and he jolts up, sheets pooling around his waist. luffy. where was he? where was zoro? did the crew find him and take him back to the ship? did law fail? but this didnt look like chopper’s office.
he looks around to find hes in a room hes never seen before in his life, yet he instinctively knows is his. it all feels so wrong, like he doesnt belong in his own skin. he scratches lightly at his arm. he needs to go to work.
work?
what the fuck is happening.
its like his mind is at war with itself, one truth trying to dominate over the other. he trained at sensei’s dojo. he aged out of foster care. he was a swordsman, he was the first mate of the strawhat pirates. he didnt go to college, hes working construction. he made a promise, and kuina died. kuina…died. huh. his captain, his luffy, someone he knew so intimately and who knew him in turn. hes never met someone with that name his entire life. he needs to go to work, he needs to find his crew.
he doesn’t understand what the fuck is happening.
without his permission his legs stand him right up and he moves confusedly, surely, to the bathroom he didnt know he had. his reflection stares back at him in the mirror and its him, of course it is, he doesnt know why he expected someone else, but hes also…different. he has both function of his eyes, first of all. a scar in the same place as before but its light and healed over and doesnt seem to have blinded him like it once did. his hair is green, sure, but black roots peek out from underneath the familiar shade. hes grown stubble, he should shave. he needs to go to work.
hes so confused, but his body moves like its been doing this its whole life. as far as zoro knows, it has.
he continues getting ready, mind still at odds, and makes himself a cup of coffee (in his own kitchen. his own kitchen? the state of it leaves less to be desired. sanji would surely skin him alive) before tucking into his shoes, grabbing his wallet and keys and heading out the door. he seems to live in a single room apartment, and a crummy one at that. his legs move him faster, he has to go to work, he cant be late again (again?).
his car is parked outside the building, he has no fucking clue what it is but he unlocks it all the same and settles in. he feels like he shouldnt be operating this sort of machinery. franky would know better than him how it must work. he starts it up and backs out. trusting his gut to get him where he needs to be. he should be more concerned, he should be frantic and inconsolable, his captain was dead in his arms and now hes? what? going to lay some bricks or some shit? but he finds that part of him dulled in favor of following whatever mundanity this body is pushing him towards.
uumm whatever whatever he arrives at work eventually i dont know how construction jobs work are there offices or something. idc thats not the point. johnny and yosaku are there and zoro is surprised to see them since, as far as he knows, the last time they were with each other was at arlong park which was years ago for him. but the two greet him like this is a daily occurence, like theyve been working together for years. and zoro thinks, knows, they must have. but this is good, this is great fucking news actually because until now theres been no confirmation if zoro was here alone (wherever “here” is) but now his proof is right in front of him because if johnny and yosaku are here, and they exist the same as from before, then that must mean everyone else is here too right? he clings onto this hope with both hands trembling.
nami, usopp, the cook and chopper and robin and franky, brook, jinbe and fuck. fuck, luffy. theyve got to be here somewhere, zoro just has to find them. hes not sure if they remember things like he does but hes got to try because they are his as much as he has always been theirs and they should all exist together as it has always been.
so then yeah he finishes his shift because its what hes ‘supposed’ to do but he doesnt go home. he drives around aimlessly before pulling into a random lot and pulling out his phone (theres no snail attached to it. weird.) he doesnt even know where to begin. hes not usually the one coming up with plans, he just goes where theres blood need to be shed. but no one seems to be in any danger here except for maybe himself, and its not like he has his swords anyway- shit. fuck did he still have wado? he must have right? he knows there was a kuina that existed here too, he knows because he remembers. and she, well she wasnt around anymore so he must have wado. he must. with shaking fingers he pushes that aside for now, though barely. he needs to find luffy, but he wouldnt even know where to start. luffy could probably find the rest of their crew by simply wandering around and happening upon them, thats how he did it before. but zoro has no idea where he’d be, he doesnt even know where he is. nami or robin would be a good bet to at least form a plan, but he wouldnt know how to find them either.
is there even a coco village here? would robin still be part of baroque works? he needs someone who has a defined location that he could google or something (what the hell is google?). usopp would be at syrup village right? shit. is there even a drum island? these are all too broad, he needs something specific. specific…..a place with an identifiable name, somewhere smaller that would be easier to stake out…
a lightbulb goes off.
fucking shit he thinks. of course. of fucking course it would come down to the cook.
he types in “baratie” to his maps and a location pops up, just 27 minutes from where he is now. he hasnt eaten yet either, so he figures thats killing two birds with one stone. he taps the address, backs out of the lot and drives.
(if it takes him nearly an hour to get there thats nobodys business but his own)
he pulls up to the building about a quarter after 7. it seems packed enough already, but if memory serves him right then that was just par for the course for baratie. he parks, gets out and locks his car, then shoves his hands in his pocket and resigns himself to another oncoming migraine hes sure to get upon interacting with the man hes certain is waiting somewhere inside.
the tables are full, the host tells him, he slips a 20 from his wallet and suddenly (of course) theyre more than willing to serve him.
he gets settled in a far and somewhat isolated booth and a waiter comes up to him, but he cuts the man off as hes introducing himself and says “you got a blonde working here? stupid ass side part with a weird eyebrow? goes by sanji” the waiter looks shocked and put off by his rudeness but quickly collects himself and says “we might. depends on whos asking” zoro snorts “just tell him hes got someone who wants to talk to him,” he cringes at this next part, tries to smile but knows it comes off as a sneer. hes not sure if he still has conquerors haki wherever he happens to be now, but he tries to channel that energy the same way he would if he were in battle and says “tell him im a fan.” the waiters eyes widen, in fear or surprise zoros not sure (most likely a mix of both) before he nods and scurries across the floor, weaving in between patrons and coworkers alike until he disappears behind the double doors to the kitchen.
zoro sits with his arms crossed and skims through the menu out of boredom and impatience. its a couple minutes before he sees a familiar head of blonde hair emerge from across the way. a smile climbs onto his face despite himself. sure, the guy annoyed him to hell and back and their…friendship (if you could really call it that) was a tumultuous one, but it was good to see someone familiar nonetheless. he schools his expression before the blonde can spot him. a few moments pass before hes standing right in front of zoro, his stupid suit primped and pressed as always, and a cautious look on his face.
“you asked for me?” his tone is the one he only reserves for men who he deems not worth his time. zoro grits his teeth but says “yeah, theres something ive gotta discuss with you.”
hes never been one for tact, forever blunt unlike his swords.
sanji quirks a brow “i dont plan on talking about anything with anyone unless theyre a paying customer” zoro feels his eyebrow twitch but grabs his menu nonetheless and points to a random item without looking “i’ll have this then, and whatever booze you got.” sanji leans in to see what hes pointing to before his one visible eye widens and a grin slowly overtakes his previously unaffected face.
he speaks condescendingly. “wonderful choice sir, coming right up.” before zoro can get another word in he grabs the menu out of his hand, spins on his heel, and marches back to the kitchen.
zoro clenches his fists and does his best not to grind his teeth into a fine dust. no matter where they are or what displacement in time the fucking curly brow never fails to be absolutely insufferable. at least this way though, zoro knows its him for real.
its another 20 minutes before the shit cook reemerges from the back with a platter and a mug in his hand. he steps up to zoros table and places the plate and cup down in front of him with a smug look. zoro has no idea what the fuck hes looking at on his plate. he doesnt have time to question it before sanji plops down in the booth seat across from him, disregarding all previous faux-professionale and asking “so what do you want” zoro tears his eyes away from his plate and looks into sanji’s, trying to convey as much emotion, as much urgency as he possibly can.
“luffy needs us. and we have to find him” whatever the cook was expecting him to say, it definitely wasnt that. the other man regards him more warily now, looking him up and down with a tense frown before replying “i dont know what the hell youre talking about. and i dont appreciate being mocked or having my time wasted” he goes to stand up but zoro grabs his wrist, yanking him back down unceremoniously.
he blinks before rounding back on zoro, flaring his nostrils in a way zoro knows means hes about to get himself in deep shit “oi, what the fuck do you think youre-“ he doesnt let him finish “im not mocking you. this isnt some stupid prank or whatever youre thinking. and despite how much i would enjoy punching your teeth in right now im not looking for a fight either.”
the cook still looks affronted but seems to actually be listening. zoro continues “look, i dont know what the fuck is going on. i was at laughtale with you and the others, with luffy, and then i woke up and now im here and i dont know how but this is all wrong. its all wrong but i need to find luffy and fuck, i cant do it alone. i need your help to find him. find everyone.” the blondes eye is wide, but he blinks and its gone. he looks more tired than zoro has ever seen him
“im not paid enough for this shit. i dont know why i even-“ he looks like hes getting ready to leave again but zoro is desperate at this point so he blurts out whatever he thinks will convince the other man hes not bullshitting.
“we met you here, at the baratie. me and nami and usopp and luffy. luffy busted through one of your walls so your old man punished him by making him wash dishes. i dont, i dont know what luffy said to you, or how he convinced you to join us, but he changed your life like he did mine. we sailed together, and we had each others backs no matter how much we got on each others nerves. you were our cook. i was our swordsman. luffy was our captain and youd do anything to help him, i know you would, same as me. youre a pervert and an asshole and a damn annoyance, but youre strong. i could still kick your ass though” if the cook’s eyebrow could go any higher hes sure itd be clear off his forehead by now.
“and you- your dream. you wanted to find the all blue.” he stalls there, engine sputtering. zoro doesnt know what else to say, so he snaps his mouth shut.
the blonde is still gaping at him like a fish, but he mouths the phrase “all blue” like hes been searching for it his whole life, like he always knew but just never had the words.
he blinks.
then he blinks again, rapidly. there are tears pooling in his eyes. his mouth flaps for a moment before he seems to finally be able to push out words.
“you- zoro?” he sounds small. he sounds hopeful. zoro grins.
“yeah, yeah its me.” sanji stares at him a moment, then looks around, as if hes seeing everything with clear eyes for the very first time. zoro figures he might as well be.
“holy shit. holy shit.”
zoro laughs, a rough thing. theres a ball in his throat that he cant seem to dislodge. “nice to have you back, curly brow” sanji’s gaze snaps back to him before he scowls and tries wiping away the tears that are now streaking down his cheeks. its useless though, it seems they cant stop. zoro laughs again at the sorry state of the asshole in front of him, this time more full and genuine. he feels so relieved he doesnt know what to do with himself.
“yeah yeah, whatever dick head.” sanji grumbles. zoro quiets down, glances away, lets him have his moment. “fuck, mosshead, im still on the clock and you unload all this on me? how the hell am i supposed to finish the rest of my shift?” his words are sharp but he doesnt sound angry at all. in fact, when zoro turns back to look, hes smiling.
“you remember now though, dont you?” he has to be sure.
“what does it look like, dumbass? think im tearin’ up cuz of pollen or some shit?” the cook rolls his eye. theyre both silent for a moment, trapped in their own heads, before he speaks up again. “so, what now?” zoro doesnt even have to think before he answers “we find everyone else, obviously.” “well no shit, but how?” zoro glances to the side. “i was hoping youd figure that out” sanji stares before bursting out laughing. zoro scowls and hunches into his shoulders.
“of course!” sanji cackles “of course your dumbass wouldnt know what to do! you probably just typed in the most recognizable place you could remember and hoped one of us would be there!” zoro doesn’t answer, because yes thats what he fucking did, but it worked didnt it? he doesnt see whats so funny.
“fuck you.”
he wants nothing more than to bash that smarmy mouth in, but the familiar egging settles something in his soul. sanji gasps a few breaths before calming down, now wiping tears from his eyes for a completely different reason.
“alright alright, well lets figure this out then, yeah? we figure out how we got here then we can figure out how to get back right? simple enough”
zoro nods, “law was-“ he stops. remembers dull eyes and clammy skin and wrong wrong wrong. he shakes his head, “no, no we cant” sanji looks at him confused.
“we cant go back,” zoro presses, “not until i fix things. i promised i would” the other man seems to pick up on his panic and his mood dampens, becomes more serious. “promised what?”
zoros never been one to sugarcoat, but now he wishes he could find a way to soften the blow hes about to deal. he inhales, pushes the breath out. says, “luffy died, sanji.” the fact the hes actually using the other mans name seems to fly right over his head in favor of the first part. “what?” zoro huffs, is he really gonna make him say it again? “luffy di-“ sanji interrupts, angry now, fists clenched and whitened from the pressure “i heard what you said. but what do you mean.”
he doesnt want to have to tell sanji what happened, doesnt want to talk about it at all, wants to slice it up into small enough pieces that it very well may have never existed.
he told law the others wouldn't have to know, that he would make sure of it, but he's realizing now just how unrealistic that is. as much faith as zoro places in his own abilities, he's aware he's only one man.
and, he figures, if there's anyone i can trust enough to share a burden heavy as this with, might as well be the one who's strength i'd count on just as much as my own.
sanji cant help if he doesnt know what went down once they got separated at laughtale, so zoro sets his shoulders, clenches his fists, prepares himself like hes riding into a battle he knows he has no chance of winning—hes the first mate for fucks sake—and resigns himself to filling the other man in on every horrible detail
by the end, the cook looks much the same as zoro feels, pale-faced and shaky. he runs a trembling hand through his hair and clenches his eye shut. “fuck mosshead, thats…” he doesnt bother finishing, and zoro stays silent—already knowing just how much of a shitty situation it is that theyve found themselves in.
(btw the reason sanji was so smug about what zoro randomly chose on the menu is bc its one of their most expensive dishes. even upon regaining his memories he still makes zoro pay it cuz hes an asshole like that. business is business 😁)
uuummm i dont feel like detailing the rest basically my idea is that they work together to try and track down all the members as well as law, since hes also a part of this. i dont know how or when or in what order but i do know finding luffy would come last. so yes its zolu but for a majority of it more in spirit than anything. maybe i can throw in some luffy pov of him living with ace and sabo . he knows something is off but cant place his finger on what. he knows something is missing but hes got his brothers with him so what else could he possibly need? etc etc. you get the idea

Enjoy the first chapter, everyone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-15 years later-
-Location: Impel down.-
“And yeah, that’s how I got my powers, and how I ended up here is a long story."
I was held in a prison of some sort, as I was chained next to a black hair dude and a giant ass sumo-looking man who looked like a fish. They both listened to my story as the fish dude hummed in response. “I see, so you were fighting someone and woke up here, as you killed the monster who brought you here, bringing you to have no way back? That is interesting, ma’am; your clothing is quite odd, so I knew you weren’t from this area.” He explained as he sighed, my body leaning against the wall. “Yeah, but it’s exciting; the people here are stronger than where I’m from; you all have powers, too? What’s both of your deal? Why are you arrested?”
The black haired male laughed, as a skull with a mustache was tattooed onto his back. “Well..how I got here is a long story. I was fighting a pirate named Blackbeard, who murdered a crew member of mine.” My eyes widened. “Pirate? So theirs pirates here?” He laughed. “Man your clueless, no wonder, but yes, the whole world is filled with pirates, I’m one as well, apart of a strong crew, the white beard pirates.” My head tilted. “I’m guessing the tattoo on your back is the marking of your captain?” He smirked. “Close, it’s white-beards Jolly Roger, every crew member has a marking of it on part of their body.” “I see.” I smiled slightly. “So it’s like a tribal thing? A promise?” The boy nodded. “I guess, I wouldn’t call it tribal, I’d call the tattoo meaning, fearful and exciting.” I smiled more. “It looks cool, though you never told me why you got here?” He sighed.
“After Blackbeard got a kick of me, the marines captured me, and here I am now, probably to get executed.” My eyes widened. “Executed, what for? Being a pirate?” He nodded as the fish man spoke. “Fire fist ace is one of the strongest members of the white beard pirates; any pirate in the world that roams these seas will get executed, no matter how low or high the bounty is.” I looked to the ground. “Doesn’t seem fair, since this black beard guy seems to be why you here….?” “The name's Ace.” I nodded. “Right, Ace. Don’t you not want to die?” He chuckled lightly From my question. “Y/n, a pirate in a life and death situation, always has to make a choice for the better of his crew or the people. Even though I’m not a threat to most, but to the naked eye, I am, so the Marines give them what they want, but me, if I do die on that platform, I’ll die doing what I loved, sailing across the world.” My heart broke slightly. "But, from what I heard from evidence, aren't pirates supposed to treat their crew like family, Ace? Isn't your crew basically your family?" "Of course." Ace smiled more. "But, even a pirate has to die, even if the family is against it." I nod again. "That seems understandable. Too bad these chains drain our powers; I would get us out of here. Say, fish man, what's your deal?" The fish male looked to the floor as his legs were crossed. "My deal, hmm? Well, first, my name is Jimbei, and I used to be one of the warlords of the sea."
My head tilted. "Used to be?" He nodded. "Indeed, I was against the marine's actions to go against the white-beard pirates and arresting Ace, and for that, I'm here." My brows furrowed with irritation. "That's dumb for wanting someone to not get executed; you say he said they shouldn't mess with your crew, Ace-san. How strong are they?" Ace laughed. "That's a good question, Y/n, but my crew is pretty strong, as my Captain is a Yonko himself, as all of the seas fear his name; it's pretty impressive, as he's rather old and sick now." "Ah, I'm sorry to hear that, but he must be the best captain to you and your crew mates." He nodded. "Indeed, without him, I'd probably be forced to be a Marine and to walk without freedom." I smile gently. "You made a great choice then; freedom sounds nice; you guys must have gone on many adventures." "We did, and it was terrific; I'd never forget the people and creatures I've met; my life grew more since I joined him, and I could never repay him." My heart warmed with his explanation as I looked to the Jail floor, feeling terrible that this friendly stranger was getting executed for something so simple, living his life.
As silence arose through the three of us, footsteps came to our cell as guards stood before Ace, probably getting him for his execution. I stayed silent, as Jimbei, as we just watched, our hearts ill and disgusted as they showed no emotion. "Oi Y/n, Jimbei." We looked at him as he turned with a smile. "Don't let other people tell you what you should do or look like; that's a decision you should make yourself. Besides, Y/n, too bad I'm getting executed, or I'd take you out, but it was nice to meet a cute girl like you." His wink didn't affect me, as I smiled. "Thank you, Ace; I wish your death to be quick and painless and that you will be in a better place." He chuckled. "I hope so, but..I have a favor, Jimbei...if..you ever see my brother...tell him I love him..ok?" Jimbei hesitated, sad that he said this, as he nodded sternly, accepting his request before the guards took him away, leaving me and Jimbei in the cell. An empty feeling was in my heart, as the thought of that Ace guy dying from what he didn't even do in the first place made me angry.
The silence was heard for an hour or two until new voices rose as your head perked up. Jimbei raised a hand to be quiet, as the voices didn't sound like Marine guards but a younger singer, a masculine-gay-like voice, and a deeper elegant voice. Confused, I saw a boy with a straw hat that described the brother Ace was talking about me, and Jimbei's eyes widened as a unique-looking woman and man were following him. He seemed to be looking around for Ace as he stopped in front of our cell, looking straight at the fishman. "Oi?! Have you seen Ace?! Where is he?!" I frowned. "I-uhm sorry, sir, they just took him a few minutes ago..." His eyes widened with fear as he turned to the group, telling them they needed to find him, but Jimbei and I were confused about how they could get there until Luffy explained the situation.
My eyes widened at how he broke into this place as the lady-man beside him explained how she lived here for words, as they all planned to escape and go save Ace. As he called for him, I wanted to help, as did Jembie, causing the straw hat boy to turn. "Let us help you!" I nodded., as Luffy's head tilted. "Help? How should I trust you both? How do you know my brother? "I only knew Ace for 5 hours, but he is lovely and deserves a little fairness instead of death," I spoke as Jimbei explained. The straw hat boy smiled brightly and then laughed. "Alright! Any friend of my brothers is a trusted ally for me!" Soon enough, the man with white and orange clothing cut our cell with his scissors hands; as both of us were free, I smiled, turning to him. "Man, that's a cool power you got." He bowed. "Thank you, madam!" I nodded while turning to Jimbei. "Are you alright?" He nodded. "Just a few grazes from the cuffs, but I'm stronger that, what's the plan, Mugiwara?" Jimbei looked to him and continued. "We can still get to your brother, as they are just transferring him now, but we must hurry!" He nodded simply. "Sure, but who are you?" Bianca's eyes shot open, surprised that Luffy didn't know him. "Luffy! That's Jimbei! One of the warlords of the sea!!" His eyes widened this time. "REALLY?! COOL!" Jimbei shook his head. "Used to be, not now, but we must not chat; we need to get to the ship they are transferring Ace to!" Luffy nodded. "Yes! But, how do we get out of here-" He was interrupted when a weird laugh arose, and I saw Luffy freeze, turning in the direction of another cell, where a man with stitches across his face was laughing and smirking at him. "If you wanna get out of here, set me free...I can create a hole in the ceiling! What do you think?" I was surprised at this man's height, as he had a golden hook for a hand. He looked straight at Luffy with a sly smile still on his face. "It's been a while......"
"Straw hat..."
"Luffy, do you know this guy?" He seems pissed and irritated as both of them stared watch each other down, the tall man still holding a smirk on his face. It was silent as your question wasn't answered until the hookman spoke. "I thought there was no reason to get back on the street. But Whitebeard and the Navy are gonna start a war? It's my chance to finally bring down that old man..." He honestly spoke, my head tilting. "Wait, white beard, you mean Ace's captain? How are you supposed to defeat him when Ace says he's one of the Yonko's? Aren't they supposed to be strong?" Your question was ignored again when Crocodile looked you up and down, not recognizing you immediately as he turned back to Luffy.
"I don't care how strong he is; this war has piqued my interest. And with my power, you and I could get out of here." He spoke, still looking at Luffy, who clenched his fists. "It's not bad, huh? We both get what we want, after all...." "His voice was defiantly deep, as it didn't affect you, but it was pretty attractive, as my arms crossed.
"Why should we trust you? Are you an ally of Luffy's or something?" His face fell annoyed as he looked at me. "I'm never or never will be an Ally...just making a deal with this brat...and how should he trust you or the fishman either..? You look like a dangerous girl yourself, cute, but probably untrustworthy..." My head tilted. "Untrustworthy? Is it because I'm bald? It always confuses people, but Luffy here seems angry towards you, which means you must have been in his past, correct?" The man chuckled. "You are smart, girl, but yes, I was...this brat ruined my plans..." "SCREW YOU WERE GONNA DESTROY VIVI'S HOME ASSHOLE!" As I understood the situation, Luffy snapped as the man blankly looked at him. "That was a long time ago. I lost interest in that country." He spoke, Luffy glaring harshly at him, as Crocodile smirked and Bianca stepped forward. "Straw hat, boy, release him." My and his eyes widened. "Wait, are you serious?!" He asked, as I was confused. "Yeah, why would we do that as Luffy feels in danger from him?"
She smiled, looking at us both. "His power will aid us greatly." "AH! Ivan-chan! If you knew what he's done-" "You wanna keep going right?!" Jimbei spoke as Luffy paused, then nodded. "Then free him because we need Crocodile to make it to Navy HQ!" Crocodile scoffed while looking at Ivonka as She smirked at him. "Long time no see, crock boy." Luffy was shocked. "You know him?!" She nodded. "Just a passing acquaintance. I met him when he was just a rookie!" I smiled. "I see." Ivanka laughed. "So don't worry; if he does something funny, I can bring him under control in case he betrays us." I nodded. "Sounds like a plan; step back, you three." Confused, the three stepped back as I got close to Crocodile's cell, as I just quickly grabbed the bars, and Yanked the door off. "WOAH! SO STRONG!!" Ivanka yelled, her eyes shooting out of their sockets, as the tall man emerged. I looked at him. "Hey, is your power sand?" He seemed surprised as his eyes widened slightly. "Yeah..kid, how did you know?" I pointed to the sand under him. "Lucky guess, that's pretty cool." He smirked at you. "Thanks. You pretty strong yourself, lady." "Y/n." His head tilted as I smiled. "The name Abby, nice to meet you all." Luffy smiled as Ivonka smirked, Bowing back with respect. "Nice to me, you Y/n-san! I'm Ivonka! My My, you are quite cute, dear! Never met a bald girl before!~" My eyes widened. "How did you know I was bald?" She smirked. "I wear wigs myself, dear, so I know what's real hair and what's fake, so how did you lose your hair? A battle?" I sighed with a smile. "It's quite a long story, but it's a time for later; we should get out of here, Crocodile, right? How can you get us out?" He smirked down at you as sand flowed around his body; soon enough, he shot up it towards the ceiling, creating a giant hole to the next floor. My eyes widened slightly, impressed. "Let's go!" Luffy ordered, jumping up first, followed by Jimbei, Crocodile, and Ivanka, as the scissors man helped me up, all of us soon running to the exit.
But. as we escaped the hole, we ran into some other people, like a ballerina man named Bon-chan, as Crocodile got his regular close on. "Oi, Y/n." He spoke as I turned, us waiting to head deeper on this floor. He held up a cloth, looking down as a cigar was in his mouth. "Can you help me out?" He asked, as I looked at his dirty shoes, and I nodded. "Sure." As he sat on a box, I gently grabbed his foot as I cleaned his fancy shoes. "These must be expensive; how rich were you?" He smirked. "I'm still rich; it seems like you never were around money." My head shook. "Nah, I really wasn't into money, but seriously, you must have been in a powerful position to earn a lot of money." He chuckled. "I was a warlord, actually." My eyes widened. "You mean like Jimbei?" He nodded. "Yeah, but my actions removed me from my position, as Straw Hat kicked my ass.." I snorted as he glared harshly at me. "Why are you laughing?" I shook my head. "Think it's funny a kid like him kicked a grown man's ass. You must have done something terrible to the kingdom he talked about." He sighed. "Yeah, that was a long time ago...now I'm striving for something different, don't know what yet." I finished as I set the cloth aside. "Well, whatever it is, I hope you don't get caught by the Marines again." He chuckled. "You can say that again..." "ALRIGHT! LET'S GO!" Ivanka yelled as I nodded, everyone soon following her. We managed to get to the snowey area, as I was in the same clothing, the cold not effecting me as all of us surrounded Ivanka, as she told us the plain.
Crocodile was next to me, as I was next to Luffy, the group listening carefully.
She warned us if we still manage to get to through front, their will be enemies and marines everywhere, as we still will be fighting hard to get out of here. She said we should also steal a Navy ship, as it's our best chance of being able to get to the marine Headquarters ace was going to be at.
The plan sounded good, as she said we still need to get more people to fight with us. Jimbie nodded with agreement. "We already have a lot, but this place is still dangerous, and there might be a chance only little of us make it out alive, so it's best to free more prisoners." I nodded as well. "Yeah, and who knows how this 'war' is going to go on, and how strong you say Ace's crew and the marines are." Ivanka smiled. "Right! So, when doing to these different floors, our Job is to free as many prisoners as we can! So let's unleash mayhem in this place like it has never been seen before!" Everyone cheered, except crocodile, Luffy and I, as we were already ahead of the group.
I was next to Jimbei as the four of us were climbing up stairs, as Jimbei spoke up. "It's 10 before morning!" He spoke, then continued. "The execution is at 3 in the afternoon! They'll defiantly do it on time!" He finished, as Luffy ran faster, as we all followed, as I looked to Jimbei. "Why don't they do it earlier? I mean, it's like they are asking for something to go wrong." Crocodile smirked. "Because Marines are idiots..." I nod. "I see. well then..."
As we stopped at the lock door, I ran forwards, spinning, as I kicked the door right off, smoke arising as the boys eyes widened, but soon then smirked as I cracked my Knuckles, looking ahead as Marines began to surround us.
"Let's make sure to get there on time."
