I WANT YOU ALL TO LISTEN TO FAKE TYPE'S VERSION OF FLEETING LULLABY (THEY WROTE THE SONG).
AND IMAGINE LUFFY IN GEAR 5TH SINGING IT, WHILE ALSO BODYING AN ARMY OF MARINES LEFT AND RIGHT. MIGHT A WELL IMAGINE HIM GOING GIGANT MODE AND TOYING WITH AKAINU.
Just him making everything way too bouncy and the marines can't fight properly and their bullets don't work and swords aren't even able to land on the 5th emperor's glowing white skin and Luffy's eyes transitioning from gold to red.

okay, okay. I just recalled something, specifically Rouge. (yes, a 5 year old is planning how to save a grown man from death)
THE WAY SHE PASSES THROUGH MARINES. I know she only had such little screen time but SHE SLAYED. SHE FUCKING SLAYED ALL THE WAY.
her hair flowing with the wind, her eyes- the way she furrowed is brows. as if dedicating her life to keep her baby alive. Believing in Roger believing in the kid she knows she won't be able to raise. Forcing herself to keep her baby in, to keep him away, safe from any harm.
A mother's love everyone. A mother's love.

Just Started One Piece
Literally just that. No one I know wants to watch it with me or wants to hear my rants so I’m just going to be posting them here bc I will grow crazy if I don’t talk about it. I’ve also decided that If I’m going to be doing this I’m gonna go all in so all movies and filler episodes will be included.

Episode 825 did you mean the episode where Luffy kissed Sanji ever so tenderly in the rain and told him he loved him

Zoro and sanji as duo are special because they don’t act that way with another else.
Sanji prides himself on having manners, He isn’t needlessly rude. He plays the role of sensible and kind cook anywhere else. Zoro doesn’t engage in petty fights, he has deeply ingrained discipline. He plays the role of dependable and stout swordsman.
But they fight each other like cats and dogs, sanji disregards all manners and zoro lets go of his honor-based discipline— JUST SO THEY CAN FIGHT.
Zoro doesn’t let disrespect slide, but sanji can insult him everyday with out major consequences.
that’s why their dynamic is so good, and why almost any zosan interpretation works. They act their age together!!! They’re 21 year olds, they act as stupid as they really are. Best friends, pseudo brothers, husbands, pinning losers— it all works!! I love zosan!!!

Dressrosa Law hasn’t slept in 15 years, is wearing a coat with his dead dad’s logo on it, is chained to a fucking chair for 10 episodes, gets carried around by Luffy for another 20, got his ass WHOOPED, arm chopped off, and worst of all Doflamingo declared him as only a 3 star character in his gacha game (fucking USSOP is the only 5 star) like he cannot catch a break no wonder he looks like absolute shit

Imma be honest, at first I had NO idea that Law was 26 entire years old. I learned his official age in a comment on a Pinterest post, like, I was none the wiser.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You mean to tell me that this is a grown ass man?! ^
Tumblr media
THIS?! ^ LIES
I admit that I can see it post time skip, especially in Punk Hazard and Zou. (He was just a twink in Dressrosa. A foolish twink.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But THIS?!
Tumblr media
NAW. When he showed up I guessed that he was like 18, 19, maybe 20. But 24?!?! Really?!?! I don’t have a problem with his age or anything I was just genuinely shocked!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But come on. This is not a grown ass man ^ This is a teenage dirtbag. Cue Wheezer guitar riff.
I COULDN’T HAVE BEEN THE ONLY ONE
His stoner fit fooled me! I know people complain about shipping Luffy and Law because of the age gap but like… dude, I seriously had no idea he was in his twenties 😭
Tumblr media
I find it so amusing that this goofy emo dude is a full grown adult man. With full on medical expertise and everything. Love that for him.
Fact of the day, hands down.

side rant that probably nobody cares about or agrees with but I need to get this outta my brain. Water 7 made me genuinely upset for Usopp. he was so valid and so right and the rest of the Strawhats were so fucking insensitive and oblivious (except for maybe Nami and Chopper). but like if you seriously think about it, the Going Merry was the only part of his home that Usopp had left. everyone else had their pieces of home. Nami had her tangerine trees, Zoro has the wado ichimonji, Sanji is not only chasing his dream but also fulfilling Zeff's dream (who he owes his life to) in chasing after the All Blue, Chopper has his hat, and Luffy has his hat. you know damn well the rest of them would lose their minds if they lost any of those pieces of their lives and they would be valid in doing so. yet when it comes to Usopp and the only thing he was able to bring from home no one cares? not to mention Usopp ended up being lowkey right about the Merry. Usopp put his everything into that ship. he was the only one repairing her and treating the Merry like she was a real part of the crew and their home. without Usopp's (somewhat shitty) repairs the Merry would've been done with so much sooner than Water 7.
and I'm not saying that Luffy wasn't right about needing a new ship, but the way they went about telling him and how they treated him when he was just upset about it was plain ridiculous. I mean even Luffy was in denial about the leaving the Merry behind but they couldn't even allow Usopp time to grieve losing the last connection he had to his home?? despite all this what really pissed me off about the whole thing was Zoro saying that the only way Usopp could rejoin the crew was if he apologized first. like what??
when it comes to this I'm an usopp defender till I die. I think the crew was seriously effed up for this ngl.
however, I do agree that Usopp's insecurity problems were his own though, and he shoulda delt with that quietly and not projected his insecurities onto Luffy or the others.

They kept Sanji’s smoking, his flirty behavior (toning it down heavily), the love and affection he feels looking at the others, his kindness, his smile, his soft spoken tone from early One Piece, and his deep love for his dream, morals, and Zeff. Minus him not bowing to Zeff, as someone whose favorite character of all time is Sanji, this has my seal of approval.

East Blue Saga - The Pirate Ganzack
I don’t know why I did this too myself but the wiki said this was the first one so I watched it. Also ignore my awful grammer I’m so tired.
First and foremost, I’m writing this a few months after starting One Piece. I lost interest bc I had no one to talk to so I’m hoping that blogging about it will help me retain my interest so if something seems incoherent or completely wrong feel free to correct me. This post is pure vibes. (Nvm I just rewatched it bc why not)
So the gang is starving on the ocean, Nami gets stolen by a dragon and Luffy gets himself and Zoro drowned, so a pretty typical episode. He receives accidental CPR via pirates stepping on him while they chase a girl etc etc who cares about the plot if you wanna know about the episode watch it (or read the wiki)
Rewatching it, all I have to say is that the vibes are off. The voice actors aren’t the same and I might be reaching but the characterization is off as well. Everyone seems just a bit dumber and meaner and they depicted Luffy as a typical shonen protagonist which I’m not that into.
ALSO. Ganzack looks exactly like that rabbit chimera ant from HunterxHunter, Gammot! He also has a god complex which I’ve found is the norm for One Piece antagonists. Also where’d he get all of that gunpowder and what was he gonna do with it?
Nvm Blow up the Island apparently. Rip our boi Ganzack, he’s not like other pirates but he got beat up by a rubber man and blown up by his own weapon.
I don’t have a lot to say because this episode doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things but it exists so I’m including it. Gonna give it 5/10 bc it didn’t suck but I’m not invested.

People often mistake Luffys indifference for ignorance and I’m here to set the record straight:
Luffy is aware of others and their emotions and what goes on around him, he just doesn’t give a fuck outright until you see him giving one.
Throughout the series we see Luffy beating the crap out of someone who’s an ally, for what at first may seem like no reason but in reality is because they are disrespecting a core belief of his or disrespecting themselves.
A great example is when he slapped Vivi (gay on gay crime lmao). He did so because he not only wanted to “snap her out” of her train of thought but he was also so angry that him and his crew were not being seen as her friends, that he was not trusted enough to be someone she could lean on when he had been there throughout their time in Alabasta. Vivi was also being selfless to a point of self destruction, trying to push away the straw hat crew, thinking of herself as a martyr, the only person capable of saving her country. So luffy had to show her reason in classic Luffy fashion.
Luffy is aware, he’s not just some kid playing pirates like everyone often thinks he is. Luffy strives for true freedom, he challenges the world government, he sees how corrupt the government is and denounces them entirely. He punches a celestial dragon because he doesn’t believe in power structures and believes every asshole deserves to be put in place.
Luffy is an anarchist. To be against the government and to start revolutions requires critical thinking.

I really hate those mf who treat Luffy like he’s a child that doesn’t know anything about anything as a way to justify them shitting on zolu, they act as if he’s never heard of a crush in his life “ I don’t know how you can ship Luffy with anyone he’s so innocent “ (yes someone has actually said that to me) like Luffy? The man that fights to free people of oppression? He’s not 2. He’s seen and been through stuff most adults wouldn’t be able to handle ,he is so emotionally intelligent and it’s shown throughout the show. Shipping him with someone that makes complete sense is not that fair of a stretch.

Okay but, do you think Zoro ever told Sanji about Kuina?
I don't mean having talked about his dream and mentioning her. I mean sitting in the kitchen late at night. Sanji had been finishing up dishes or rechecking their stock. Zoro had been drinking sake, occasionally passing the bottle to Sanji whenever he's nearby. He tells him about Kuina, how she was beautiful and how he misses her every day. How she left a hole so deep in his heart he's not sure it will ever be filled again. How he doesn't doubt he's going to become the greatest swordsman, but he would've doubted it if she had still been alive. How he would give up everything to see her one more time. Sanji probably said some cheesy ass line to comfort him like ''I'm here if you ever want to talk about it,'' and Zoro had appreciated it but also mocked this specific sentence time and time again.
And then Whole Cake happened
And Zoro wasn't there. But after everything's said and done and it's another late night on the Sunny, sitting under the stars with Zoro's favourite sake that Sanji kept hidden just for this occasion. It takes Sanji a while to open up, even with the sake, because it's all buried so deep and the wounds have been reopened so recently, but he talks and talks and Zoro listens and listens until he ends the conversation with ''I'm here if you ever want to talk about it.'' And they laugh and Sanji might hit him over the head lightly with his pack of cigarettes but that's okay because they're Sanji and Zoro????
