Not that I disagree with the point about the strength of Itachi's love at all, but I think people vastly overstate the scope of "Kotoamatsukami" and by doing so they create a plothole that didn't originally exist. The jutsu is meant to be subtle mind control that alters experiences, it's not supposed to override one's entire belief system, autonomy or their personality in the way Edo Tensei can. That's why at the 5KS, people dont even notice it's been used on Mifune until Ao's byakugan picks up its chakra. It's explicitly stated that Kabuto gave the majority of his zombie army their personalities and a certain level of autonomy so they could retain their fight styles without him diminishing their efficiency. It's also shown that strong souls can break free of its influence even though we know Orochimaru uses a much stronger level of control than Kabuto, Hashirama wasnt under his control at all. So the use of Kotoamatsukami was less about "ordering" Itachi to do anything but more about restoring his complete autonomy because it overrides Kabuto's will entirely--as its his own will. It wouldn't have any influence over how Itachi reacts to Sasuke's threats because, particularly now that he's reflected on his behaviour, he could determine that the best way to "protect Konoha" was to apologize to Sasuke. If Kotoamatsukami was that strong, he wouldn't have been able to show Sasuke his memories because Itachi perceived them as threats to Konoha (as shown by his threat towards Danzo before he leaves Konoha). It's also why Danzo's argument that Kotoamatsukami wouldn't work on the clan somewhat resonates with Itachi, because it wouldn't eliminate any future resentment that could or would culminate (as evidenced by Madara's generation initially submitting to Konoha for fear of discord, but slowly growing discontent).

Rather than be about the strength of Itachi's love, I think those scenes are meant to show the true resolution of his character. He initially mocked and sort of tried to bully Naruto into getting him to be more forceful with Sasuke, so we have reason to believe if he hadn't realized he was wrong he would've been much more forceful against Sasuke's threats towards Konoha. Instead, he shows Sasuke empathy and the compassion/contrition he deserves along with trying to soothe the various hurts that Sasuke gained even beyond Itachi's hand (eg. complimenting his strength, reminding him he is loved, etc.)

I agree that kotoamatsukami doesn't suppress someone's actual personality or the whole belief system, however, it does rewire one's brain to follow a certain task/idea it has been programmed to allow to happen. It doesn't turn one into a mindless slave to the idea where everything else is secondary. Which is why Itachi could see where he was wrong, and even saw Kabuto’s plight, a life lived similar to his own. He's capable of feeling empathy, regrets, and guilt, affection, pride, and comradeship with the people he encounters as Edo Tensei. So, yes, there I agree with you.

I will, however, disagree that Danzo's idea of using kotoamatsukami on the clan would be fruitless was because it wasn't that strong of a jutsu. It's in the novel and it was meant to be used on Fugaku only. Fugaku alone changing his stance wouldn't save anything and wouldn't change much because the rest of the clan would still not be on his side. Some radical Uchiha wouldn't agree with Fugaku's changed ideology and his pro-Konoha stance, which is why it wouldn't work. Fugaku could forever stay pro-Konoha, fight against his own clan members, and maybe even kill them, unless an Uchiha, of course, suspected what happened and found some way to reverse it.

Both Hashirama and Madara are built different. They've been equated to the divine powers. They could break free from Edo Tensei, but at the same time Tobirama, who created this very jutsu, couldn't. Neither could Hiruzen and Minato. Itachi isn't anywhere close to these men in power (except for Minato, maybe). So, the part of Itachi that had to be essentially remain under Kabuto’s control and follow his orders, whether he wanted to or not, was overruled by another "order" that wasn't a destructive one.

Itachi's mockery and "bullying" of Naruto happened because he didn't want Naruto to know that he was meeting him because he was concerned about Sasuke. That after his death people would try to reach out and use Sasuke against the village, which would either result in Sasuke being known as a criminal forever, or him dying. Both ways, Sasuke loses either his life or his dignity. And he didn't want kotoamatsukami to work on Sasuke either.

I believe he always knew he was wrong. It's just he believed it was necessary for Sasuke to survive in the ninja world because a weak Uchiha would always be preyed upon. And given the clan's bloodied history, Sasuke would be feared and hated. It could be because he himself never saw a better world for Uchiha. So, if it wasn't fair to other Uchiha, why would it be fair to Sasuke? His realization wasn't that he expected different outcomes from his actions, but that despite the desired results, he failed as a brother to Sasuke. Sasuke might have become strong, invincible, powerful, but he's broken, lonely, and without home and friends because of him. He didn't think Sasuke could have a better life, but he understood he could have not made his life worse. The admission 'I broke you' was necessary and revealing of his true character. He understood it wasn't Konoha or Orochimaru responsible for Sasuke's sufferings as much as he himself was. That guilt affected him immensely in how he interacted with Sasuke.

I believe if, instead of Sasuke, there was someone else threatening to destroy Konoha, he wouldn't have reacted like he did with his brother. Itachi showed his memories after Edo Tensei was undone, which meant anything that connected him to the mortal world was fading along with his consciousness. In the perfect Genjutsu cast by kotoamatsukami, there's only one anomaly and that's his love for Sasuke. I like to believe this is what it was meant to be. That no way what happened, Itachi's love would always be above everything else he felt.

This is how I've always interpretated this whole thing anyway. Thank you for sending this ask because it was lovely answering it.

It's kinda funny how all the racists try to blame Tobirama in their own racism.

Uchihas aren't another race, they just the same as Senju. They all have one ancestor, and Kaguya obviously wasn't thousands and thousands years ago for evolution split up Senju and Uchiha enough.

But it so easy to make Uchiha another to blame Tobirama. So easy to change their race so Tobirama's haters can be racist as hell. (Because changing the race of character is already racist enough, ask Hollywood)

And last but not the least he wanted to save Sasuke from the death. He easily agreed with idea Uchiha inherits Hashirama's idea of Hokage and gave another example of Uchiha.

I can see why he can be hated. Yeah, he talks a lot of shit in harsh manner. He kinda provoked Madara with his talks with Hashirama (but I have more questions to spying Madara). He created the Edo Tensei that takes sacrifices, so his mind is twisted. He is definitely hipocrite with his "i created and prohibited" and "make your reputation to another kage... SHUT FUCKING UP!"

And yeah, Tobirama is kinda prejudiced to Uchiha, it's hard to deny.

Naruto has nothing but Kurama, a couple friends and his love for music. School is hell and almost everybody thinks he's a monster. What transpires when a popular newcomer, Sasuke Uchiha joins the school? One night changes everything, just how will it turn out? This is like two fics in one. The first few chapters are built to show how Naruto was born and how Minato became the villian. Kinda like a prequel. Kurama and Naruto have an amazing relationship in the fic and I just adore it so much. Naruto is a tall, muscular man with a deep raspy voice (a mixture of him and Kurama). Singer!Naruto is one of my alltime favorites so I vastly enjoyed this fic and it's freash take on the idea. The angst is handled well in this story. It's also a soulmate fic with a very interesting twist! The romantic relations between them are amazing! It's thrilling to watch them handle all that life seems want to throw at them. The plot is so wonderful it's like gold, and worth every single second of read time. The reread value is so good. I find something new every time I reread it and fall harder for the story each time. Slow updates, but is ongoing and updated still!

Neonlights by lilypheria (AO3). Ongoing. 34k words, 16/? chapters. Rated: E. Sasuke is a courier in the endless, futuristic city of Konoha. Usually his deliveries are nothing but unremarkable. Then he is asked to deliver a person, and all hell breaks loose. It's a GORGEOUS fic set in a futuristic world based on a few amazing video games. Kurama is an AI within Naruto and it's so fresh and cool to see! The world building is vast and paints such a fantastic picture as you read. It's almost like watching a movie/game play video in your brain. The plot is so detailed and thrilling. Full of intrigue and mystery and wonderful tension between Sasuke and Naruto. Updates are slow, but worth the wait between chapters!

Dis-Honor by One_of_a_Kind_99 (AO3). Ongoing. 33k words, 8/? chapters. Rated: E. Be a good Omega. Become a worthy match. Bring honor to your family. Joining the army pretending to be a beta to save his father's life was the complete opposite of what he was supposted to do. The line between honor and dishonor was thin, he had no idea which side he would land on at the end of it all. An SNS retelling of Mulan. Omega!Naruto, Alpha!Sasuke. The Mushu in this is hilarious. The author has similarities to the film while also truly making it their own. There is angst, spicy content, action, adventure and of course fun banter!

Under the Table by Sebastian (taydrawrs) (AO3). Oneshot. 2k words. Rated: M. Sasuke’s finger clenched around his phone and he could almost hear the case crack under the pressure.  His phone vibrated. >Please. The simple responses kept coming while Sasuke attempted to hold himself together. >I thought you cared about me. >I thought you were a kind and good person! He must be desperate if he’s resorting to compliments (and such fake ones) that he knows won’t work on Sasuke. >I have never begged anyone like this before. >Please! >Just one photo of your tits and- “Uchiha!” Sasuke slammed his knee (the same knee as before) under the table again.  This time, he let out a full stream of cusses, before lifting his head to meet the angry, steady eyes of his boss. Sasuke receives a text from his husband during a work meeting that brings back a few very potent memories. It's a sexy office fic with some spicy flashbacks and sneaky phone texting during a work business meeting.

The sky is red by Skyheaven (AO3). Complete. 61k words, 16/16 chapters. Rated: M. Turns out that Naruto's new high school friend was born a girl, but idetifies as a guy. Well, that wasn't a problem for him. Except that he falls in love with him. He'd never liked a guy, so he must like him because of his female body, doesn't he? What a terrible friend he is, what a horrible betrayal to have these feelings. Better bury them deep down. Down along with his beating heart whenever he sees his face. A high school AU with a trans Sasuke. He hasn't come out to his family or anyone and so when Naruto finds out they embark on a journey of self discovery together. It's very well written and informative. There are lots of feelings, angst and some family drama as well as extremely wholesome. Itachi is a good big brother and tries his best. Which leads to some very hilarious moments. It's just a beautiful read.

Love-Love by Watermelonsmellinfellon (AO3). Oneshot. >1k words. Rated: T. What if Sai had been just a little bit further on in his research about emotions, and asked if Naruto was aware that his fixation on Sasuke looks romantic... right when they see each other at Orochimaru's destroyed base? You have 5 minutes and need a little pick-me-up? This drabble is the perfect choice. Just one scene, set in shippuden, but sure to make you smile, chuckle or giggle. What's Canon anyways, I am pretty sure this is what happened.

Dead-Last Champ by Yaman999 (AO3). Ongoing. 178k words, 40/? chapters. Rated: M. Sasuke and Naruto were high-school sweethearts. In love through thick and thin. When Naruto decides to drop out of college to pursue his dreams of being a professional MMA fighter, his lover has a difficult time accepting the sudden change in course and uses it as an excuse to justify the biggest mistake of his life. Will Sasuke ever have the chance for redemption? Or will he have to sit by as someone else comes to sweep the love he let go off of his feet? A great ongoing fic. It's a modern AU with MMA Fighter!Naruto. It has a hurt/comfort tag and it uses it. Sasuke is very impulsive and selfish and spoiled when the story begins. He has no idea what he has or how to value it. Naruto is just starting out as an MMA fighter. Cheating fic leading to their breakup. Naruto finds support in his MMA village and grows, Sasuke spirals and needs to sort himself and his life out. Does Naruto feel complete or is something missing? Will Sasuke get his life together? Only time will tell if they find their way back to each other!

Guess Who by Hikari M666 (FFn). Oneshot. 2k words. Rated: M. Roped into working at a phone sex hotline, Sasuke loathes his job so much he's ready to kill. And when his very own 'satisfied' boyfriend rings the hotline, will his mood improve? Not bloody likely. SasuNaru, yaoi. Let me take you back 17 years, back to January 2007, when Hikari M666 published Guess Who - a short crack fic that has the boys in a really interesting situation! For some context about where Naruto was at in 2007 - the Japanese manga volumes were just at the part where Team Asuma go against Hidan and Kakuzu! In this AU crack fic, Naruto digs his own grave down a phone line, and Sasuke is murderous by the end. Hikari M666 was a fun writer with some great oneshots, including at least one more SNS oneshot, and wrote for some other Naruto pairings, as well as some other fandoms.

The very well known "Akai me no Kaibutsu" or as "The Red-eyes Monster" of Konoha as that time her team was ambushed by a fully armed Shinobi which her friends and teacher was killed and in the process her Sharingan and then her Mangekyou has appeared and she killed everyone and then a ninja from Konoha saw it all. A 10 year old girl killed an army . Her Susano'o barely was barely complete but it did not failed to protect her. When growing up and rising to rank Jonin she and her brother Itachi become Anbu together.She was then imprisoned by Danzo and sealed her never to be seen by anyone after the massacre of her clan, but years later she was released by the man named 'Madara' and recruited her to Akatsuki. She has hidden herself to anyone but her brother and the organization,but when the war has come she revealed herself and was killed by the hands of Kaguya Otsutsuki but unbeknownst to Kaguya, Y/n was the reincarnation of her.

Upon arriving to Valhalla and meeting Brunhilde she found herself at Japanese Pantheon. Reuniting with many familiar faces that she knows back at her own world, the world of Shinobi and her love ones.

When hearing the news of the rise of the demons, she created an association together with the Demon Slayers and Valkyries and Humanities Champions(during the selection). The leaders Herself, Ubuyashiki and Brunhilde became the three main leaders of the association that will ensure the safety of all the beings.

The association was created even before the announcement of eradication of humanity or even the meeting of all the Gods.

Going back, The three main leaders has planned upon the following and the group that will be called :

Alpha squadron consist of all Shinobi together guarding the Swordsmiths and are assigned to go around every pantheons secretly and investigate if there are demons or suspicious around and will kill in secrecy. This squadron has 3 sector :

the Cavaliers who will kill without any hesitations and is grouped to any squadron or group. They are mostly assigned to protect and/or assassinate.

The Revolutionists consist of Akatsuki members but they are the group who will want changes as they all want to go against the Gods since they want to eradicate humanity they are assigned sometimes for negotiations or stealing. Some of them only agreed because they were going to be paid(hi kakuzu) they are the ones who are also called Protestants. They are mostly assigned to protest and to spread rumors.

The Investigators most likely consist of all kages but there are some who are not kages and is assigned to find any traces of Demons around and any suspicious people.

Beta squadron consist of Demon Slayers the ones who will hunts down Demons along with the Cavalier group. Yoriichi tsugikuni, Michikatsu tsugikuni, Lady Tamayo and Yushiro has also become a part of the corps ever since knowing that demons still roam around.

Delta consist of Human Champions(even Buddha is allowed) and Valkyries they are the ones on the spotlight. It was supposedly only the Valkyries but then the eradication of humanity was announced.

But then Brunhilde, Lord Ubuyashiki and Y/n found their selves at the presence of the creators of their world. Along with Nyx, her husband Erebus ,along with the Titans and the rest of the creators has blessed those who are to protect everyone. Which Blessed all those who are in the association. Especially. You.

The Alpha and Beta squad is not to be seen, they are only the darkness and shadow of the Delta squad. They are the ones who will guard down the whole place and every pantheons and never to be seen. No one, not even the Gods has noticed their existence. Except to the God of Underworld.

But before the creation of the association, she asked Brunhilde if she can work at the Norse Pantheon to which she agreed. And informed the Gods rather late.

Her duty at the Norse Pantheon is a maid which was quickly makes everyone question...even Odin was left questioning as to why such a human herself wound want to work...since...working there would be endless. And no human can last forever. or are they?

And the eyes of the Storm meets the incarnation of Otsutsuki Kaguya.

Okay I want to talk about this comic here. It’s an old comic, made during or after the Kages arc. For context, the creator is a Hinata stan, Team 8 stan and NH stan. I just want to talk about how these heteronormative stans read the manga wrong.

“Hinata: Note to self, if female, don’t try to be a hero!” Except she’s wrong. Temari saved Shikamaru’s ass in part 1 already. She was also a great leader during the 4th shinobi war. And what about some others? Tsunade broke down Susanoo and healed her teammates while being broken in half, Karin took down a monster kages couldn’t, and Ino took control of the Ten-tails and stopped its attacks and connected the whole shinobi army.

Just because your favorite wasn’t heroic doesn’t mean it’s because she’s a female. It’s because she’s written to be weak and selfish. There was nothing she could have done against Pain, and she was told she would only be in Naruto’s way, but confessing her feelings was more important for her.

“Sakura: Do you realize you just started the pairing war?” It’s like these people were ALMOST aware Kishimoto didn’t give a damn about their het pairings.

“Naruto: Sasuke I wish I knew how to quite you!” Stupid homophobic Brokeback Mountain joke. Which is made even funnier when I tell you after the ending she said SNS weren’t denied anything, Naruto and Sasuke were always portrayed as brothers (again a person who doesn’t know common gay plotlines and storytelling tools) bla bla bla. So Naruto and Sasuke were always portrayed as brothers but something triggered you in Kages arc so much you had to resort into a gay joke to demean Naruto’s pain over Sasuke?

“Sai: You are a bitch for making him suffer” That’s not what he said though, he said they all rely too much on Naruto. Which is true, especially for Sakura who treats him like dirt all the time.

“Sakura: I wonder what Kishi thinks I’m gonna do with a bloody kunai” What you do best Sakura, fail. Because that has been your characterization for the entire manga except for that one fight where you were used as a puppet.

You know, the whole genocide of his clan and all. Finding out Konoha used his brother... finding out the discrimination towards the Uchiha. But nah, let’s just make Sasuke look like he is doing it for the lulz.

You know how people joke about Uchiha-Uzumaki children being a bunch of hellions? Tsuna having kids with mukuro and/or hibari would be fucking terrifying.

Just imagine a whole army of little Hibari’s wielding blunt force weapons with little mukuro’s at their backs weaving illusions.

I honestly do not think the world would survive, let alone the Mafia.

To be fair if Tsuna were to have kids with any of his guardians (minus lambo for obvious reasons) they would all be hyper competent nightmare monsters that would bring the mafia world to their knees.

A little girl with Hibari’s eyes and Tsuna’s sweet smile that fights with a staff and is particularly brutal when people that aren’t the family get too close to her “mother”

A silver haired little boy with glasses that do nothing to hide his big brown eyes with a bow. The family genius that hides it behind a loud mouth and a temper.

The “twins” who only their family can tell part as they are constantly weaving illusions and switching appearances with each other. The only consistency is their wild hair (unfortunately neither of them were able to escape the pineapple curse and if anything it’s worse because they also got Tsuna’s genes in the mix) and that they can almost always be found together.

A girl that looks just like Tsuna but there is no mistaking her other parent with her constantly covered in bandages and dirt as she puts her all into whatever she’s doing. There’s really no mistaking it when a rival family member said some unkind things to Tsuna and she knocked them out cold in one hit at five years old, pretty frilly dress and all.

And of course a little boy that is the carbon copy of Takeshi who has fallen in love with nearly every sport he has ever seen and who takes up the sword like he was born for it and his one true desire in life is to beat Uncle Squalo.

They would have the entire mafia world terrified of them by the time they hit puberty and those that weren’t would learn to be very very soon.

Identity wars & the Uchiha

I always wondered why Itachi haters hate him because he committed mass murder, but excuse Sasuke, Obito, and Madara, for doing/attempting the same. I finally managed to put my finger on why exactly this doesn't sit right with me, other than just being plain silly or using trauma or marginalisation as an excuse for just about anything. Look, I'm queer, doesn't mean I get to walk into a roomful of c*s folks and empty my clip.

Itachi weighs human life in absolute numbers. Anti-Itachi, pro-Uchiha fans weigh human life in identities.

To them, each marginalized life is worth a whole busload of non-marginalized lives. They forget that social justice is NOT revenge, ie marginalized people taking the whole cake and leaving the non-marginalized to starve, but to redistribute the cake so NO ONE goes hungry.

To them, anyone in Konoha other than the Uchiha are non-marginalized aka "the oppressor", so their lives carry not even half the weight of an Uchiha's.

Because clearly, when they defend Sasuke's planned mass murder, it's not just "Danzo and the elders", no, these people think "guilt by association" is the new social justice, so everyone "laughing" in Konoha, to use Sasuke's words from his unhinged rant, is guilty and deserving of retaliation, too. There are no "victims" or "innocents" in Konoha unless they have a ping pong bat on their shirts, it seems. Not even babies or elderly. They're all guilty of something only 3 living people are even aware of.

They don't realize they're justifying school shooters. Because yes, the boy was victimized by a handful of bullies and had every right to go after them, but what, pray tell, justifies shooting up the whole school? That's what Sasuke, Obito, and Madara are. Glorified mass shooters. They have righteous beef with an entity or handful of people, and they're happy to take everyone else down with them for sharing the enemy's zip code.

When lumping all Konoha residents/people everywhere in with "the oppressor", these people don't take into account:

-genuine ignorance of the administration's rotten tactics

-if aware, a lack of power to change anything

-repercussions of treason/desertion -rational thought, ie. not criminalizing someone for living in the only place they've ever known

-other forms of marginalisation existing within Konoha, as well as civilians and dissenters -cultural/propaganda impact, ie. drinking the kool

-aid not typically being an act of malice and thus not warranting a death sentence

-limited responsibility for elected leaders: you may not have voted for this leader, or your elected leader may not keep his promises

-various personal and societal struggles not leaving capacity to march for the marginalised; remember Konoha doesn't even pay decorated ninjas enough to have their sick children treated: Mukai Kohinata had to spy for an enemy village to pay his son's hospital bills, and Konoha sent Itachi to kill him for it

-Kage are not democratically elected, making people living under them even LESS responsible for their administration. The Kage administration is a dictatorship, making everyone living under a Kage oppressed and victims. This also adds not-so-voluntary pressure to the "voluntary" decision to serve as a ninja. Imagine saying no to a dictator with a huge standing army of brainwashed child soldiers.

-the public reaction to the genocide. If they hated Itachi that much for it, surely, they could have made good allies to the Uchiha if the latter had EVER bothered to share their concerns rather than simmer in silence!!

All they see is "Uchihas oppressed, so everyone else bad". So they don't mind that Sasuke or Madara or Obito kill a bunch of innocent and marginalized people along with "the oppressor". Collective punishment, guilt by association, all those things I thought we all agreed are ALWAYS bad, are suddenly excusable if committed in the name of justice (revenge) rather than power.

Itachi "looks bad" because he only killed oppressed people, under orders from the oppressor. Itachi haters don't even take into account that he did so in tears and hating his commander and only obeying because of the many INNOCENT lives he thought were at stake - many more than those 60 or so Uchihas. He didn't kill the clan "for the oppressor" (a government), he, from his POV, killed the clan for the people who didn't ask to live under this, or any government - after all, there is no opting out of "enabling injustice through citizenship" no matter where you go, so why fault anyone for existing where they do?

Is all of Konoha really "the oppressor" because of those 4 old people? Where could Konoha residents go in protest where they would not collaborate with some form of oppression, where is that utopia of innocence and justice? Fugaku sure wasn't gonna build it, since he would have to establish a new iron fist rule to keep people in line after *checks notes* kidnapping a leader who only ever showed them a loving face.

"Guilt by association" is not how to advocate for social justice. Not in the Narutoverse, not IRL. You just turn the aggressor-victim dynamic around, not eradicating oppression.

A mini-story in which Sakura and Madara are continually reincarnated, but only one of them remembers all the lives they've lived. No matter the period, the world or the universe. Madara is the one who will remember every life they lived together - whether it had a happy or tragic ending. Sometimes, Madara would even witness one of Sakura's reincarnations falling in love with another and living her life.

There had been a time - the first, during the Nanboku-chō era, when Madara and Sakura were on opposing sides. He vaguely remembered it as a civil war between the Northern and Southern courts. Specifically, between the supporters of Emperor Go-Daigo, who ruled the Southern Court, and the supporters of Emperor Kōmyō of the Northern Court.

Madara was part of Emperor Go-Daigo's army, but Sakura was a kind of oracle. A Miko. Although she'd been a servant, she'd worked her way up to the court, and Emperor Kōmyō often sought out her gifts of divination.

Madara remembered that it was this same Miko who had predicted his imminent death. At the time, he hadn't been amused. Even less so when she had claimed that he would return, that ‘the threads of fate were already working for him.’ He'd found her singular, a beauty marked by her long pink hair and jade-green eyes. There was something celestial about her.

They'd ended up falling in love, but unfortunately, Sakura had been right about his death. It was quite ironic. He'd died at the hands of the man he'd served. Come to think of it, bonding with the Miko from the enemy camp might not have been the best idea, but the love he'd felt for this woman was such that he'd have burned an entire nation to stay by her side. All he knows is that the North won out over the South in 1392. Another prediction from the pink-haired high priestess.

There had been countless occasions when he'd experienced happiness and a love that transcended time and space, but each loss had been more painful than the last. Sometimes it was Sakura who suffered that loss, and it was in those moments that he was almost grateful that she didn't remember their previous lives. There had been strange ones, and others he didn't understand, because the place was so different, from the architecture to the clothes, that he was certain it was one of those "other worlds". A dimension apart.

That's why, after a while, Madara stopped believing in the thread of fate. He'd had enough of loving so ardently if every time everything went to ashes. This wasn't the life he wanted. It was Sakura he wanted; but hope was already lost to him and he knew he had lost his way for good when he returned for the umpteenth time. On a battlefield, in the middle of a war, and once again, she wasn't one of his allies.

Sakura stood there like a goddess of war, showing no mercy to the enemy. He looked, looked at this woman he had loved in countless lifetimes. It was as if he'd been born for her, born to love her. This romantic bullshit might make him puke right now, but it was a fact that was confirmed with each new reincarnation. He knew, deep down, as disgusting as that thought was to today's Madara, that even if he hadn't been lucky (unlucky) enough to remember Sakura, he would still have loved her. That was the way it was. That's why when she came at him with her war cry to attack him, his body reacted instinctively and impaled her. She had wanted to create a diversion so that her teammates, one of his Uchiha descendants and the host of the nine-tailed fox could attack him.

Of all the lives he'd lived, this seemed the fairest. Maybe because he was a shinobi, maybe because he was one of the most powerful, and it had taken five entire nations joining forces to stand a chance against him. Ironically, in a life where he would probably have been best placed to protect her, he now had to kill her. He had a plan to keep. Maybe this way he could create a world with his own vision. A vision in which he knew Sakura would probably never exist. Not just because they were enemies, but because in this life, they hadn't been reincarnated at the same time. He didn't know why, he didn't know why the gods had such a twisted sense of humor, but he'd come to terms with it, and hatred had won his heart when love was no longer there.

If he were honest with himself, Madara would say that the main reason also lay in the fact that Sakura, his sweet Sakura, looked at his descendant as if he were holding the moon in the palm of his hand. He knew that look. It left a bitter taste in his mouth, and at the same time, if he weren't so mad with rage, although he denied that was the reason, he could laugh: this Uchiha Sasuke shared an uncanny resemblance with his late little brother Izuna.

So maybe his killing intent wasn't simply based on the fact that they were enemies. His jealousy had led him to make many mistakes, but his hatred made him make far more horrible ones.

When he was eliminated by the shinobi alliance, he knew there would be no next time. No next life. It was as if he'd heard the whispers of the gods in his ear, taunting him. It was his curse.

In his last moments, as his old friend Hashirama stood by his side and they exchanged their last words, he heard him say that he was sure ‘Sakura would be all right, and that he was sorry that once again, this life had not been the right one for them, but that something told him she was in good hands.’ Hashirama was the only person on Earth who knew Madara's secret, and he had never breathed a word of it to anyone.

His last look was for her, his last smile too, and as he died, he knew that his heart would live forever in her.

Some of the missions / situations Kakashi faced with Team 7 were way worse than any task the anbu could send him to complete.

In his first mission with Team 7, he had to fight one of the Seven Ninja Swordmen of the Mist and later a tiny army of mercenaries paid by one of the richest men of the world.

In the Chuning Exams, he threatened Orochimaru himself, one of the freaking legendary Sannins. He was a fool to do so, he knew it, but he did it 'cause he needed to protect Sasuke.

That's only like half of Naruto Classic...

I'm just saying that Kakashi was always meant to be more of a secret anbu guard to Team 7 than a sensei. Kakashi was more of a companion, there to protect them, watch over them, make sure that the jinchuriki and the last Uchiha or their female teammate weren't killed on a mission.

The majority of people agrees that Madara and Sasuke are the strongest uchihas, and I agree that they are super strong. But a lot of them also believe that Indra isn't, and so they tend to put him aside.

However, as a headstrong Indra defender, I want to point out one thing - compared to Madara and Sasuke, we haven't really seen Indra in action. Yes, we did see his battle with Ashura BUT not only was it super short, it was also not his full potential.

What we did see, on the other hand, was how he managed to summon Perfect Susanoo and Amaterasu mere seconds after obtaining the Mangekyou Sharingan.

We also see him standing completely alone against Ashura and his army when he was still young, and it really reminded me of the Madara vs. Shinobi alliance scene. We know Indra survived to old age, which means he could take a whole army alone just like Madara did. Or should I say - Madara did it like Indra.

He was also the one who invented ninjutsu and did it at the age of 10. Slay king.

And of course, let's not forget that in order to beat Indra in their first fight, Ashura had to inherit the Six Paths.

I need to know Madara's workout routine when he was growing up with Izuna 💪😏

alright everyone first set of hcs with Izuna! I really love the sibling dynamic between these two, reminds me of the dynamic i have with my sister. I think that their close relationship and constant sparring is a direct result of the loss of their other brothers, causing Madara and Izuna to train to watch each other's backs and to defend what they hold close to their hearts. Anyways, here's a premium Uchiha bros workout routine!

• Their daily training starts very early in the morning, even earlier than sunrise (about 5am). Madara started leading the clan at a young age, even before becoming an adult, so Izuna and him wake up as early as possible to use daylight to the max and the evenings are for paperwork.

• Mostly start with a long run to train endurance, about an hour until 6am. Would make it more difficult by running across rivers or mountains to also train chakra control.

• Taijutsu training until 9am to warm up (yeah 3 hours of warm up bc they're extra).

• Another 3 hours of ninjutsu training to improve as much as possible their katonjutsu. Also spare some time at this point to train younger shinobi in their clan and examine the quality of their army. Izuna is better at dealing with teens whereas Madara guides both young adults and children.

• At noon they'd have lunch and eat a LOT. Like 2 whole fishes each or something like that. Since they're good bros, they'd cook together 🥺💕 Izuna makes good rice and Madara knows how to make bomb ass roasted fish.

• After lunch they nap under a tree in their backyard or in the engawa of their house, until about 1pm.

• From 1pm to 4pm it's fighting. Straight up battlefield simulation, every single technique available, all their weapons. This doubles as Sharingan training.

• After their last sparring session they go home and shower. At least half an hour in the hot springs to soothe the sore muscles. Madara is the best big bro ever and rubs ointment in any bruise or wound that Izuna has. Izuna being a loyal and caring little bro insists on Madara wearing his gloves to not harm his hands every day and watches over him constantly. If one of them is too tired, the other one does their haircare and skincare. Peak brotherhood.

• Another little nap and straight to paperwork until about 11pm. Rinse and repeat the next day!

Alright let’s get weird with it. Watersports/piss kink for Indra and Izuna? Not the two of them together. But two short bits of them x reader contrasting them. Like, probably not ALL of them are descended from Sasuke (because I do also headcanon that there were a bunch of “half-blood” Uchiha that weren’t accepted into the clan before the massacre and then kind of felt like they had dodged a bullet by not claiming the name, or some Uchiha children that weren’t Sasuke that Danzo had scooped into ROOT—hence the “kill your training partner” thing, he was trying to kickstart a brainwashed army of Mangekyo Sharingan users loyal to him) but a good chunk of them are. And he was, for a while “The Last Uchiha” so if you have to learn how to be an Uchiha from someone, maybe start with him and work your way backwards?

Basically, if you’re an Assassin’s Creed fan, just imagine Ezio being able to see Desmond and Clay as they watch his life via the Animus. Or, if you’re a Avatar The Last Airbender fan, it would be similar to if Roku could perceive Aang’s spirit watching him from the future (if Aang could astral project himself into the past, that is). I’m trying to think of other metaphors, but I’m not sure…

So maybe it is biologically Uchiha future people only who can do this technique (if it is a Mangekyo Sharingan power via witnessing Shikako’s goddess status), so it would be a bunch of future Uchiha descendants via the repopulation program watching Sasuke’s life and their touchstone into the past is their non-Uchiha ancestry. But if it is seals, then I guess anyone could theoretically astral project to the past, though that wouldn’t explain why the present person is able to see the future people… Anyway, that’s my real quick sideways take on it, loveelemental.
