Have you read...
note: If you did not finish but feel you read enough to form an opinion, you may choose a ‘Yes’ option instead of 'Partly' (e.g., Yes, I didn’t like it). Interpret "neutral or complicated" however you like, I intended this category to be a broad option between like and dislike.
The story follows Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, an unloved orphan in 18th-century France who is born with an exceptional sense of smell, capable of distinguishing a vast range of scents in the world around him. Grenouille becomes a perfumer but later becomes involved in murder when he encounters a young girl with an unsurpassed wondrous scent.

Odors have a power of persuasion stronger than that of words, appearances, emotions, or will. The persuasive power of an odor cannot be fended off, it enters into us like breath into our lungs, it fills us up, imbues us totally. There is no remedy for it.

Today I started and finished the book Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, by Patrick Süskind. It was a grotesque, disgusting experience. Maybe it's silly but i feel like I just smelled the worst of smells and im genuenly repulsed by it. Im sure this is deep, im sure its masterfully written, and im sure some people find beauty in the horrific tale that is this work, but im never gonna read this again. Like. No thank you I pass. This doesnt necesseraly mean I disliked it, as I would to a mediocre book. It's just very disgusting.
