Papyton Week Day 2: Battle Body

Summary:

He would have hated it.

It is true. Papyrus would have hated this.

He is nothing like he envisioned he would be.

He is not beautiful.

He is not flirtatious.

He is not tender.

He is not what he dreamed.

He looks like the Terminator.

He is a weapon.

He is the Iron Giant - a gun with a Soul.

A gun that wants to be anything other than a gun.

This one got kinda angsty and sad. I've been playing around with the idea of telling love stories in flashbacks, and I had an idea for this exact one-shot for months.

To be honest, I actually really like parts of this. I'm not sure how well it fits into canon. Frankly, I'm not sure I care?

Also, I'm not, like, severely under the weather, but I'm not sure the writing is up to my usual quality either. I've either got strep throat (waiting on my culture) or a virus that's mirroring it. So, ya boy is a little scatterbrained. If there is anything that feels a little off grammatically or otherwise, please, kindly, let me know. I'll go back and fix things as I'm able. Mostly, it has been mild brain fog, my joints, and everything feels like I'm swallowing sandpaper. But, other than *that* I'm good.

Hopefully, I'll still be able to keep participating. However, like I said, if quality control isn't quite as good as usual that's why.

LIEK THE TV SHOW #KM CRYING ITS FUCKING AMAZING #i love damien like ppl characterize him as being pissed off all the time and while yea technically true #he feels a lot more. immature to me #hes literally like an angsty little kid and the onyl reason he set pip on fire was to impress the 'cool kids' one might say #cuz hes weird and no one liked him #but i like him. #his weirdness is captivating #damien meeting the lame loser kid that he doesnt like and befriending him cuz they actually have a lot in common #(and damien is very very lonely) #also pip deserves a good cry honest to god #i want. him to be happy. nyow #i want damien 2 be happy too tbh #potatart

you know i am absolutely delighted by disciples era au. like, for the liushen potential, obviously, but i also can't stop thinking about a situation where sqq spends all of his free time trying to get evidence on sqh being a traitor, while sqh is frantically wondering wtf he did to piss sqq off so bad, because he certainly didn't write sqq having a huge grudge against the original goods!!

and eventually sqq does get definitive proof of sqh's traitorous behavior, only for sqq to discover that sqh is also a transmigrater. probably through sqh doing a harebrained scheme of trying to buy sqq's silence by offering to tell him his future.

and because sqh is a fellow transmigrator (even if he is annoying), sqq has to do a frantic dash to cover for sqh's misdeeds before sqq outs him even more than he already has. he bitches out sqh the entire time as he does this because he COULD have been reading the new installment of whatever fiction came out of xian shu this entire time but nooooooo, he had to waste all of his time chasing after this stupid author who isn't even a good spy and is APPARENTLY just doing the spy work to get some demon ass!! what kind of plotline is this?? of course it came out of the author who gave him the garbage he's stuck living in.

the funny thing is, this is actually what does convince people that sqh is a traitor. because sqq has been talking about his suspicions regarding sqh to the other future peak lords (chief among them being lqg, who obviously believed sqq immediately and has been his accomplice to this point), the complete 180 sqq does from trying to convince everyone that sqh is a rat, to him -- seemingly out of nowhere -- covering for sqh and spending all this time with him and talking in code (modern slang) with him, when everyone knows that sqq HATES sqh is soooooooooo sus.

in other words, everyone is now convinced that sqh is blackmailing sqq, because sqq actually found something to prove sqh's guilt.

and this results in a frantic quest from his friends (the other future peak lords) to try and find out what sqh is using to blackmail sqq so they can get rid of it. this does not go unnoticed by sqh, who demands that sqq fix the mess he got sqh into, and sqq tells him to fix it himself because he's the one stupid enough to become a spy to get some demon ass (which sqh points out is a gross inaccuracy of the situation, he hasn't gotten one iota of ass, not even a glimpse, do you know how difficult it is to pull that off in demon society which might as well not believe in the existence of clothes).

then system shows up and threatens immense bodily harm to them both if sqh is caught by the sect this early. so what are they supposed to do but begrudgingly work together to save sqh's ass so he can get some demon ass.

#i have sooooo many more thoughts btw but this is getting long so maybe i'll make a post in the future. if i remember to. #the tl;dr of this whole thing is that it's my insane (platonic) cumplane disciples era road trip au. because uh. #system said that they couldnt get caught by cang qiong. not that they couldn't leave it. and sqh is a spy at the end of the day. #and when there are people more competent than sqq looking into it they did find evidence LOL #sqh has not been a spy for very long at this point and it shows #i'd write this as a fic but if i did it'd end up long as fuck with maybe too much world building and i dont think i have the time for that. #disciples era au #svsss #pip speaks #long post

Pip, the horrible alien boy.

Pip is new to Skool and due to their shared interest in ghosts, cryptids, and aliens, he and Dib end up becoming good friends. The two end up joining forces to stop Zim, but in a terrible event after breaking into Zim's secret base, an accident gone wrong leaves a hideous side-effect for Pip: being turned into an irken.

Stuck between trying to keep his secret with the help of Dib or having to rely on his new enemy Zim for possible help to be turned back, Pip is struggling to ensure his future. He also likes writing stuff in his journal. Sweet, sweet journal.

Papyton Fanfiction Playlists

I've shipped this for so, so long, but I've never gotten the courage to post in the fandom much. I hope I'm not being too annoying posting in this tag. I know I'm late to the game, but better late than never right?

These playlists will likely have music added/ edited based on new content to my fanfic ("Perhaps Love") and/or new things I discover in writing this ship.

Perhaps Love - a playlist of all the music that has/will be included in my Papyton fan fiction and/or has influenced the fic significantly.

"My Memories of Love Will Be of You" - the Papyton Ship playlist. Many of these songs have influenced how I write my personal Papyton headcanons and ship. There's some overlap between this playlist and "Perhaps Love," but this is explicitly a ship playlist, and it is what I'm using for writing the shippier parts of the fic. :D

Eddie as the charming prince with the long hair and the cape and sword who's just happy to be there, having the time of his life playing with knights and witches and magical creatures and why does the princess doesn't want to join his band marry him? oh my god is his bestie Robin in danger? he totally has to accidentally fall through cross the creepy portal to rescue her!

Nancy as the serious, cynic, feet on the ground, seemingly "boring" journalist that doesn't believe in love after her last break-up and the fact that her ex-boyfriend took the six kids they were friends with. until one night she finds a crazy girl in a torn up dress that talks 5x faster than anyone and also to animals and needs Nancy explaining to her that she doesn't have to marry a prince and that in the real world she can like girls and also she's so pretty and she sings like an angel and she needs saving from a dark wizard and conveniently enough Nancy knows how to use a gun!

Steve as the ex-boyfriend that always wished Nancy would relax a little and live life and have fun and oh no Nancy is doing all that without him now! what's Steve going to do? follow a random prince with great hair toward a land of magic and adventure?? maybe!!
