robin and steve are soulmates sorry like somehow every weird film robin reccomends that steve would never choose he ends up liking and when she's sad thinking about vickie robin swears steve can read her mind and say the right thing even though he doesn't get it because how could he know and robin talks steve through it when he's anxious and god the two of them could talk for HOURS in fact they regularly do, or they'll just swing by each others houses no problem robin has seen steve with his hair undone and his shirt off covered in bat scars and steve has seen robin ugly laugh so hard milkshake came out of her nose and ugly cry so hard the snot bubbles not because the russian spies have drugged them this time but because she trusts him to hold her when she cries, and even when they fight they're looking out for each other, steve knows robin well enough to know he can bare his soul a thousand times and she will never once go in for the kill and they both know a friend like this is a miracle you could search your whole life and never find

feels like home
rating: t ♥️ cw: coming out, softness, recovering from the upside down ♥️ tags: pre-relationship, post-s4, fluff, hurt/comfort, Eddie is having many feelings, the main one being that Steve feels like home, platonic stobbin, supportive platonic soulmates coming out so Eddie feels safe to do the same, injury recovery, still-so-soft
for @steddielovemonth day seventeen: Love is about a hand reaching out to you so you don't get lost (@yournowheregirl)
this definitely takes place chronologically after this one so: have some of these codependent lovebirds as they start to figure their big feelings out ♥️
Tumblr media
It’s weird, and probably unhealthy, that his hospital room—like this—feels kinda like home.
But he thinks it’s okay, to be fair, because it’s not like he thinks this place is home; the smell of antiseptic is still pretty sharp in the air even as he’s gotten disconnected from one machine, drip, or monitor every day until he’s largely free to toddle to the bathroom on his own as long as there’s someone to watch and make sure he doesn’t fall. Wayne’s there for that when he can be, which explains the home associations, but: the rest of the time, in fact—kinda more often than it isn’t?
It’s Steve.
And Eddie struck a deal with himself—no digging in to the fluttery-gooey-warm-chest-squeezy feelings while he’s laid up in a bed—but when he walks around even under supervision, it’s…feeling like he’s cheating.
Plus the feelings are getting kinda…kinda loud.
Because Steve is always there, sometimes he ever stays when Wayne comes, at least for a while. He leaves to keep an eye on the Party, leaves to check up on Max, hits the community hub: but it’s…it’s such a blip of time, honestly, in comparison to being here, with Eddie.
And when he’s gone, it doesn’t…it doesn’t feel at all like home, it feels kinda fucking horrible, so.
Eddie doesn’t even actually have to dig in to that train of thought. It’s pretty fucking clear as-is.
He’s surfacing from kind of, like, a light doze, not even a full on nap, and he’s gentle with the coming-to of it because he can kinda, like, feel Steve’s presence at his side and he’s talking really low anyway, even if he couldn’t, so Eddie definitely knows it’s him, and he could have guessed the other visitor pretty easy even if it wasn’t her voice that was the first to bleed through with actual words:
“She’s,” Robin makes a little stifled whine; “you’ve seen her.”
“Not my type but,” Steve’s saying from next to Eddie; “ I see your point, yeah.”
“She’s like a,” Robin’s voice goes kinda hazy, a little dreamy; “like a fairy creature, or! Or like a prairie woman with those, those hats—“
“A prairie woman who likes boobi—“
“Stop!” Robin hisses low, and Eddie can feel her knock his mattress a little, she must lean over like she wants to enforce her will somehow: “stop stop stop—“
“If you can’t say it you probably shouldn’t be touchin—“ Steve’s saying and god, his voice is so bitching, and Eddie think he kinda fucking lov—
Oh. Oh, well. Shit.
“I’m not touching!” Robin moans, but kinda frantic with it; “the problem is I am not touching!”
And Eddie, too, is not touching the thought he just had about those four fucking letters that are, that, that are—
“Also it’s a gross, immature word,” Robin’s going on and…oh.
Oh.
Okay, so like: even if he’s just kinda in that liminal space of awareness, they have to know he’s more awake than not; his two remaining monitors are different even when he’s calm and just resting, but as the words themselves sink in, now? His heartbeat’s betraying the hell out of him for the staccato it’s pinging on the screen as he processes it: Robin’s showing her cards, though Eddie’d always figured she might be a bird of his feather, but, like—
“Is it though?” Steve’s murmuring low and so, so judgmental; “seems more immature to not say it at all,” and he, he fucking tsks at her, then, and, and—
And then—
Then Steve’s saying words that make no sense at all, like: sure they’re words. In English. Eddie’s very sure of it. So that means he should definitely comprehend them. But…
“You should listen to me, Robs, seriously. I do still like boobies, too. I have insights.”
And Eddie—Eddie’s eyes fly open, he thinks out of shock? That makes the most sense, like he’s startled into full-wakefulness, that tracks as he blinks up at the water-stainer ceiling with his heart in his throat as he tries to find sense in those words, fails, tries again, fucking fails, all as the Corsican Twins cackle over word choice, good god, and then—
“Hey.”
Steve’s grabbing his hand at the wrist and covering it so gently, fucking…cradles it and stories his thumb over the insistent tap of his pulse and meets his eyes, so wide and honest and earnest and if Eddie’s heart wasn’t already primed toward racing it sure as shit would have started just with those eyes on him, and that touch on him, and:
“You okay, man?” and it’s so simple, and Eddie doesn’t fucking know what’s happening on his face, what kind of of shock or terror or something deeper still is seeping from his expression but Steve’s studying him, watching for long seconds that stretch for-fucking-everbefore his jaw squares and his head tiles, something resolute shining through in him and he moves so slowly, lifts Eddie’s hand in his so slowly and Eddie doesn’t even wholly clock what’s happening, let alone that it’s real, as Steve fucking pauses their hands by his lips, so Eddie can feel his breath so warm and he watches, then, waits, and Eddie doesn’t think through what it means when he nods, like it’s not actually a legitimate thought, exactly, he just knows that, that—
Whatever’s happening, and however terrified he thinks he is: he can trust Steve.
Because somehow: Steve’s home.
It’s still fucking earth-shattering when Steve does lean, when his lips brush against the heel of Eddie’s palm, still scrape-covered, and then he reaches just as slow again for Eddie’s cheek to cup, to fucking cradle that, too, and Jesus H. Goddamn Christ—
“You’re safe, Eddie,” is all he says and maybe, maybe Eddie’s reading into it way beyond what he should, but like, it doesn’t feel like Steve’s telling him he’s safe maybe from the lingering threads of a nightmare, or that he’s safe from the government, from the cops, or from the Upside Down coming for them because they all know it’s still fucking coming but Eddie has felt scared of it once, yet, not like this, not here, with—
But Steve’s tone doesn’t just hold that: it’s bigger. He means…
They had to know he wasn’t really asleep, and so, Eddie, Eddie thinks Steve means…
Yeah.
Fuck.
“You’re outta water,” Steve’s saying and Eddie didn’t even notice he’d been reading to pour Eddie a glass from the ever-present pitcher at his bedside then he’s standing, his hand leaving and fuck all if Eddie doesn’t lean into it before he can think twice but Steve just smiles, soft, as he walks out the door.
“We talked about it.”
He turns to Robin almost violently, head kinda snapping her direction with the speed and force he moves with.
“We weren’t gonna hide it from you, but like,” she mashes her lips together, Eddie can see she’s trying to find a way forward with the least possible rambling, but the clearest possible throughway so she can get what she needs to say out, before Steve comes back.
“You shouldn’t feel like you have to,” she hums a little; “be that, you know, open? With us, if you don’t want to,” her eyes are so big and sincere, and Eddie’s pulse is steadying if only slowing by a fraction, but she does help put him at ease, even as she trips a little over the rest: “if you had any thing that was, y’know, kinda private or, something,” she nods to herself and plays with the hem of her shirt: “yeah.”
Eddie nods to himself, and…he can’t, he can’t not ask her, not in this window, because she said they’d talked and if this wasn’t part of it she loves Steve fierce and he could be still a little fresh off death’s door, she’ll still tell him to fuck off if she needs to, so at least there’s that, at least he knows, like, he won’t be allowed to step where he’s not welcome, and—
“I’m,” and fuck, his voice is a mess, he does need a fucking drink but in the absence of one at hand, he clears his throat hard and accepts that consequences of it burning like hell; “he, umm,” Eddie bits his lip and gestures toward the empty door, eyes Robin kinda pitifully: “he said—“
Robin, thank fuck: Robin is merciful, has to see where he’s going, here, and she points to the doorway indicative of who isn’t in it, yet:
“Very both,” she says simply, then point to herself: “very…”
“Boobies?” Eddie suggests and Robin, she just groans.
“Not you too,” and…okay, shit, umm, well—
Eddie… maybe Eddie can be brave. Like, in small doses.
“Actually, ah, I,” he stumbled but then he makes himself take a breath, makes himself try:
“No, not me too,” he says in a rush and looks up at her through his lashes, so fucking vulnerable: “like, very specifically not, me too.”
And she smiles at him so warm and…like, almost welcoming, which is weird but feels, nice? And she pats his arm kinda affectionately and, just—
“Did you decide to take me up on my wisdom so we can actually accept she’s almost definitely into you, and move on to planning your wedding?” Steve slides back in and shuts the door behind him, getting to pouring Eddie some water before he even sits the fuck down.
His fingers brush Eddie’s as he passes it off and, it probably shouldn’t make Eddie all tingly, Steve did kinda kiss his hand? Like, a little?
But that don’t mean shit: Eddie’s all pins and needles and, like, sparkles.
“He’s the only help you’ve got here, Buckley,” Eddie screws his courage up one more time because…because Steve needs to know, too; Eddie wouldn’t put Robin in the position of not knowing whether she can tell her platonic soulmate something, make her keep a secret even by implication but so much bigger that that is, are—
All the things he doesn’t want to poke at, or dig up and examine, that he’s dodging on the excuse of convalescence: all those things taken into account: he trusts Steve. He feels…so much for Steve already, and he feels weirdly sure that whatever happens next, those feelings are only gonna find ways to grow, so—
Steve has to know, not just because Eddie thinks he suspects it, but because Eddie tells him—because it’s….’cause it’s Steve.
“Feels like it’d be foolish not to take the man up on the offer when he’s definitely the expert in the room,” Eddie pushes on, awkward but determined; “seeing as I don’t, umm, know about,” and his eyes flicker to Robin for a second, before they land on Steve to finish:
“About boobies.”
And Steve does say anything, doesn’t look any way save how he’d looked before: calm, and mostly-relaxed, and right next to Eddie, and Eddie’s eyes drop from Steve’s face and find the collar of his shirt, the peak of hair from in between and, shit, shit, he’s talking about tits and then there’s Steve’s chest hair and holy fucking wow he is staring:
“Umm, I mean,” and fucking fuck, now he’s talking—
“Like, not that kind, at least,” and then he forces his eyes down to the sheets over his lap and considers if it’s possible to dissolve into cotton if it’s startchy and uncomfortable as shit, and you happen to be mortified enough to sink into the fucking threads.
But then; then there’s Steve.
Because of fucking course there’s Steve.
And Steve?
Steve takes his cup from him when he could easily have leaned to put it down himself, but then Steve replaces the cup in Eddie’s grip with his own warm hand, like a tether, like a lifeline, like a…
Like a promise.
And when the conversation turns toward strategizing Robin’s approach for Vickie, Eddie’s, he, he just…
He’s home, y’know?

Dear Soulmate
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm sorry it took me so long, anon! I didn't know how to approach this and was waiting for a friend to do it first🙈
For my one and only, my pookie, @itstheghostofmypast💖
Tumblr media
Choi San — soulmate au (idiots to lovers)
In a world where soulmates exist, most people discover their other halves before reaching twenty-five, you struggle to find yours, even when he had been right in front of you all along. You've witnessed those around you revelling in the bliss of finding their destined partners, all the while blindly awaiting your own.
Tumblr media
"I cannot believe this, I'm dying alone!" you cried.
"Pooks, he'll come when the timing's right, I just know it," Eve, your closest friend and platonic soulmate, reassured you, wrapping you in a comforting embrace as you poured out your frustration. Despite being on the cusp of turning 26, your soulmate remained elusive.
"How did you and Hwa find each other again?" you asked, desperate for answers.
Eve sighed, "Whenever one of us gets hurt, a flower tattoo appears on the other in the same spot of their body. You know how clumsy I am, he found me through those blossoms. But each soulmate pair has their own unique connection. Haven't you felt anything special?"
See, in this world with soulmates, each pair discovers their connection in their own way. There's no universal formula, and you despised that fact vehemently. It only added unnecessary complexity to the already challenging quest for love.
Your parents had found each other through their inner voices, where their internal voices are the other's instead of their own. Your sister had found her soulmate through a compass on her body that led her to where her other half is.
And then there was you. Nothing. Nada. Niente. Absolutely nothing at all.
And as your birthday drew near this year, panic set in. You'd soon be a year older than the age when most people found their soulmates. Maybe you didn't have one, maybe he died, maybe he got aborted as a foetus, maybe—
"Woah, woah, just take a deep breath, everything will be okay," your friend reassured, trying her best to help in any way possible, "Hey, didn't you say you've been having a lot of dreams lately? And it's always that same dream?"
You blew a raspberry in frustration, "Yeah, but I doubt my recent dreams have anything to do with my soulmate, assuming I even have one. They're always about that art museum I go to on weekends. I think it's just because I spend so much time there."
She pondered for a moment, "Wait a minute, didn't you mention that San guy you always see there? What if—"
"Oh, hell no," you exclaimed, shuddering at the possibility of that annoyingly gorgeous mountain of a man being your destined lover, "I'd rather be alone forever than end up with someone like him."
It all happened on a day when you sought solace at the museum after a taxing week at school. Exhausted from dealing with incompetent classmates and antagonistic professors, you longed for a moment of peace as you approached your cherished spot in the corner. But to your dismay, you discovered an ignorant man occupying not just one seat, but the entire bench with his belongings. And not just any bench, your bench, the one everyone knew better than to occupy.
So you did the first thing that came to mind, you might have uttered some unkind words out of irritation. Looking back, you acknowledge it was all very unnecessary, considering it was likely his first visit to the museum and he clearly didn't realise it was your spot. However, your pride prevented you from admitting fault.
Consequently, he responded with equal unpleasantness. Even the museum guards had to intervene before things escalated into a fight. Like dealing with children, they persuaded both of you to share the bench since there was clearly more than enough space for two.
You adamantly refused to yield your spot and relocate, asserting your presence since you were here first. Similarly, it seemed his foolish pride prevented him from budging as well; thus, you both found yourselves locked in a silent standoff, exchanging wary glances as you engaged in a weekly silent war.
"Ugh, was hoping I wouldn't have to see your face today," San sneered, earning a glare from you as you settled down beside him. You were running slightly late, having trouble getting up after yet another frustrating dream, one slightly more annoying than usual.
Deliberately nudging his bag aside with irritation, you narrowed your eyes, "You wish, loser. This spot is mine, and it's staying that way."
He smirked in response, "Someone's in a foul mood, but then again, when are you not? Hope it's not because of that dream where your precious bench gets snatched away for good."
"Shut the hell up—"
You stopped short, a sudden realisation hitting you like a ton of bricks. You hadn't shared that dream with anyone, not even Eve. No one should know about it except... No freaking way. He couldn't possibly be the one you've been waiting for all this time. It seemed too absurd to be true. Why, out of all people, would fate pair you with this insufferable, infuriating, irksome yet undeniably attractive, bastard?
"Surprise, genius. It's me, your soulmate."
"I knew," he confessed, his voice carrying frustration and resignation, "I knew from the moment I saw you that you were my other half. That's why I came here in the first place, why I was in this exact spot."
Your breath hitched as his words sank in. All this time, he had known, yet he had still chosen to engage in your petty conflicts.
"But when I met you," he continued, "I was excited, hopeful even. But your attitude, your stubbornness... it's unbearable. As much as I feel the pull towards you, I can't ignore how immensely annoyed I am by your behaviour."
His words landed like a punch to the gut.
"I know that if I had a choice in who my soulmate is," he admitted, his gaze intense, "it would never be you."
After a moment of processing his words, you gritted your teeth in anger, "Well, joke's on you, buddy. I don't want you either. Maybe it would be best for both of us if you stop showing up here from now on."
Days turned into weeks, and true to your request, San ceased his visits to the museum. At first, you felt a strange sense of relief, but soon, that relief morphed into a tumult of conflicting emotions.
You didn't know how to feel. Did you truly mean what you said, or were those words simply born out of anger? Your emotions were a tangled mess. On one hand, you had just turned away your soulmate after yearning for his presence for so long. On the other hand, you couldn't shake the resentment that it had to be him, of all people. Part of you longed to be near him, to reconcile and embrace your destiny. But another part recoiled at the thought, recoiled at the frustration his presence brought.
Unbeknownst to you, San wasn't doing much better. His heart felt hollow, the absence of your presence leaving a gaping void. He tried to carry on with his life as before, but the weight of your rejection hung heavy on his shoulders. But his pride also kept him from reaching out to you.
He suppressed the pull towards you, buried it beneath layers of denial and indifference. But no matter how hard he tried to ignore it, your essence lingered in his dreams, haunting him with visions of what could have been.
Then, one day, fate intervened in a way neither of you could have predicted. You fell ill with food poisoning and ended up in the hospital. In a panic, San saw it in his dream, a vision of you lying pale and weak in a hospital bed. Without hesitation, he raced to your side, his heart pounding with fear. As he stood in the hospital room, watching over you, he realised the depth of his feelings. Despite everything, he couldn't deny the truth any longer. You were his soulmate, and he couldn't bear the thought of losing you.
You furrowed your brows at his unexpected appearance, "What the hell are you doing here? Who invited you?"
His heart sank at your coldness, but before he could form a response, Eve intervened, giving you a playful smack on the shoulder, "Stop it, you! He came all this way, and you're still going to be mean to him?" Turning to San with a warm smile, she continued, "You must be San! I'm Eve, her best friend. It's nice to finally meet you. Oh, and please don't take her words to heart. She likes to pretend as if she hadn't been dying to see you again."
Blushing furiously at her blunt revelation, you shot her a glare, but she simply tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, "Behave yourself. I'll be back shortly after settling the bill with Hwa," she said, brushing past San. As she passed him, she gave a polite nod, "Please take care of her for me, won't you?"
"Of course, Eve," he replied, nodding in return.
As soon as your friend left the room, he took a step closer, his tone serious, "Listen, I'm tired of playing games. I came here because I realised I can't bear to lose you again. So, tell me if you feel the same right now. If you still want me gone, I'll leave and never show my face around you ever again."
His words struck a chord, and you couldn't hold back the tears any longer. He couldn't resist the pull any longer, sitting down beside you on the bed and wrapping his arms around you. Relief flooded through him as he felt you relax in his embrace.
"I don't want to lose you again either. I'm sorry I was an idiot," you whispered.
"You should be," he teased, planting a kiss on your hair, "But I'm sorry too. Perhaps I should have told you who I was from the start. Let's just... not say things we don't mean and hurt each other again, okay?"
You nodded, squeezing him tightly, "Okay, Sannie."

(I probably only do this with cards I like in the future)
It is part 2 of Juno L Card, here is the original video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6e7GQxiTuY&rco=1 (credit to @shyanimeboi on X)
Tumblr media
... I feel like I'm being accused of something I'm not. Defamatory, slander, the audacity of this guy
Tumblr media
This is lore-accurate MC BUT STILL, how dare-
I wouldn't mind being a cat for a day you know, so I just lounge around wherever and being treated like those ancient royal Egyptian's cats is a must.
Tumblr media
Oh?
Tumblr media
Okay Juno, didn't know you could have the green tea energy but keep cooking
Tumblr media
This is where I got the feeling that his fans must be watching somewhere behind the rubble like I just got that gut feeling they're watching and having ovaries overload or combusting on the spot right now
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I almost believed him BUT THEN
Tumblr media
HE REALLY GOING MEAN GIRL ON ME
If I were MC I would poke his eyes- Cause ain't no way you saying that to me with that face boy
Tumblr media
So he DOES have mean girl energy in him. I like it, to observe it, but he better not use it on me because I will not take him seriously if he wants intimacy later, I'm not built like that
Tumblr media
Yeah, dude what ya think??? I have a job and a house on there, unfortunately an achievement in this economy (I remember MC still has a house, they just chose to stay with Minhyeok because they didn't want to be in a space where their parents died, which is valid)
Tumblr media
So his regular head tilting as a red chewing gum is actually mean it like this??? Damn ok-
Tumblr media
I can't believe they have Satan and Gehenna making a move with Minhyeok before MC.
I still didn't forgive Satan for kissing Minhyeok before MC could
Tumblr media
Sir????
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ignoring Ppyong's being a smug little bastard, it is actually really nice that they show how close MC is with Minhyeok and how much they care for each other. If they don't get together, it's fine by me, at least let them be platonic soulmates.
Tumblr media
??? How much time did you spend time with Minhyeok on Earth? Either Minhyeok's scent was mad strong and lingered easily or they had been all over each other-
Tumblr media
I KNOW IT IS HIM! Tell me how you got his scent on you! Spill the tea sis!
Tumblr media
What?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wait-wait-wait they actually serious?!
Tumblr media
Excuse me, how the hell do you think I can do it??? Ya'll devils must be having some goofy as-hell imagination if you think I can do it
Tumblr media
Oooh more detail to take note on
So anyway, they end up touching each other and live up to his kink, because they are be TOUCHING. And there are some details of how Minhyeok and MC used to touch and caress each other heads and how MC feels at ease just by the familiarity of it which is really really cute (இ‸இ`。)
I am actually surprised how I got a lot of Juno's personality spot on in my two fics of him and he is already my favorite, but I like him a lot more now that we got to know him more than just a silly little red dough.
Please watch the rest in Hiki's (@shyanimeboi) YouTube video that I write down at the top (they're the actual angel here) and thank you for listening to me ramble, I will do this again once Minhyeok, Paimon, and Selaphiel L cards come out... But if they got the same paywall treatment then I might open my wallet if I really like it.

Headcanon that every angel has a demon who's their soulmate (romantic or platonic)
That one being they can trust and be themselves with, someone who can be their safety net and help them break their conditioning from their respective sides (I'll make a post with more on the conditioning later)
Till now we've seen:
Aziraphale has Crowley
Tumblr media
Gabriel has Beelzebub
Tumblr media
And there's been some speculation and shipping of:
Muriel and Eric
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Michael and Dagon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I only mentioned shipping cause those seem to be popular as romantic pairings but they could also easily be read as platonic!)
Now going to my point: I have this headcanon that metatron is just taking advantage of the systemic problems of heaven and spewing more and more bullshit to the angels to manipulate them into doing "what God wants" and has taken over by this point (mind you he is not necessarily THE problem of heaven, he's more of a representation of what is wrong with the system as a whole while also representing real people who are in positions of power and take advantage of a broken system to meet their own interests).
Now what if God,knowing that would happen, decided to pair the angels and then made half of them fall so that they'd have different points of view? Which yes is cruel and again a representation that God is kinda fucked up and so is her system and you might ask why do that? Why make all of them go through all this suffering to learn a lesson that wouldn't even be necessary in the first place if only she hadn't created the very problem the lesson was about?and my answer to that is: go read any passage of the Bible, that's just how God is,with all of her trials and tribulations...
But anyways, back on track: since they'd be fighting they would need a middle ground that didn't belong to either side (earth) and as they'd compete for human souls they'd end up meeting their soulmates and together they'd hopefully get closer to the humans and would start a process of deprogramming (I'll dive more into it on the conditioning post), cause that's pretty much what's happening with Zira and Crowley, is what happened with Gabe and Bee, they met their soulmate and started learning to enjoy life outside the feud between heaven and hell, they started learning that there's nothing wrong with just being happy and finding out who they want to be outside the limitations of their sides
So yeah
God knew shit would go down because she designed it to happen and decided to pair them all up to have some support on their journeys

I had silly thoughts run into my mind, Regulus igniting Vertin's passion to do art again by showing her an abandoned wall and bringing spray paint.
Vertin is more traditionally on painting but she has known about spray paint and has been wanting to try them for a long time and Regulus gives her the opportunity to test them out.
When first picking up one of the spray cans, she's not sure what she wants to create, what type of mural or artwork. Vertin is pretty unfamiliar on how to work with such a big canvas, and with a tool she hasn't quite got the grasp of yet. Regulus comes back with a bunch of paint buckets and big and small paintbrushes "What are these for? " "To help us with the painting of course, I may not be the best at any painting stuff but this pirate is passionate in anything art based and the freedom of expression! " Regulus happily chimed.
Vertin was grateful but she's not sure what to make yet, so she asked Regulus who gave her one of the buckets of paint, puzzled, she looks at Regulus "what am I supposed to do with this? "
"Throw it of course! Throw it against the wall and watch it splatter, let it be messy, let your artwork be free. It has been awhile since you last painted yes? So why not let all your creative ideas out now? "
Vertin looks at Regulus and then to the paint bucket in her hands, the swirling color inside it, she knows what she needs to do. Taking a slight step back, she throws the paint out of the bucket towards the wall, making a huge splatter to it and some to themselves as well. Regulus let's out a cheer "There ya go! Now, Let's get painting!"
Splashes of colors added to the wall, the more added, the more Vertin felt free. The paint flowing down like raindrops, the lines of contrasting colors overlapping each other, using the spray paints to add more texture and little designs and details. It was messy yes, but it was free, Regulus smiling wildly as she continues to paint the already very colorful wall, this felt nice, it felt great. Vertin was smiling, laughing even at times where they get hit with splashes of paint, Regulus's joy has been contagious and seeing Vertin happy made Regulus even more joyful.
After finally finishing their artwork, both sat down on the ground, facing what they've created. It was a messy mural, with designs of their interest, a music disk, some doves, a golden thread, butterflies and much more. Both were covered in paint and colors, it'll take a while to get them off but that's the least of their worries for now. "I think this pirate can say that, that is one beautiful mural" "It is, thank you Regulus, for bringing me out here and doing this" "No problem, you've been cooped up in that office for days now, I think you deserved a break.. And you did tell me you liked painting so, this was the best idea I could come up with" "One of the ideas you had that didn't end in disaster *pfft*" "Oi-"
Both bickered for a bit, laughing and giggling like children. It's moments like these that make all the work and sacrifices worth it, even with the weight of responsibility of being the timekeeper, others are lending a hand to carry the weight, just like Regulus. Both sat there, as the sun sets and hope rebuilds.
(Or platonic soulmate Reguvert my beloveds<333)
Bonus:
As both sat quietly, a song from the radio that Regulus brought suddenly plays "Oh hell yeah! I love this song.. Say Vertin, do you dance? "
The timekeeper pondered for a bit and gave her an answer "I do, why? "
"Well, would you like to dance with this pirate? I think that'll be fun"Regulus stood up and stretched out her hand, Vertin, slightly surprised by the sudden request, but accepted it, taking Regulus's hand into hers.
" Though be aware that this pirate may not be the best at dancing, but will certainly try her best" It's been awhile since both had danced, and more so with someone but none of that mattered right now, they're just here to have fun. Dancing to the beat of the music, as both moved to the rhythm, a few slip up's here and there but is still going strong. Going with the flow of the music, both have actually made a good dancing pair, being able to move to the rhythm easily and adjusting their movements to near perfection. Despite not even having steps in mind, both have their own, synchronized and adapting as the music goes on. It felt like walking on air as they continued to dance, they kept this on till the music ended and both were exhausted.
"I must say, you're a great dancer Regulus"
"Thanks, you're not half bad yourself, we should do this more often" "I'll check if my schedule can free up a bit"
They realized that it was near dark soon, both headed back into the suitcase, walking and talking about their interest, plans and anything really. They've grown into each other's company, and they wouldn't have it any other way, a captain and her second best mate, a bellwether and her first follower.

platonic soulmates eddie and nancy getting high and steve being Responsible; ty for the help @spectrum-spectre and @username-i-guess <3
---
The door swings open a few seconds after Steve knocks hard. (Probably a little too hard given the time of night, but someone down the road from Eddie’s trailer is playing music that Steve would be able to sing along to if he knew the words, so he didn’t worry about it.)
Nancy’s hair is frizzy, and her cheeks are flushed, her eyes glassy and red. A smile is teasing at her lips. Steve’s stomach twists as he looks at her. She’s wearing a Slayer t-shirt, wrinkled and too big for her, falling to her knees and hiding whether or not she’s wearing shorts underneath.
“What the hell’s going on?” Steve asks sharply. It’s cold out, and it’s late, and the last thing he was expecting while staring at the ceiling was to hear Nancy’s voice over the phone, sluggishly telling him to come over to Eddie’s as soon as possible. (And if Nancy is telling him something so pressing, of course he’s going to listen.) But as she grins up at him, flushed and sleepy-looking, he wonders why the fuck she’d invite him over for this. Which is something he really never would have seen coming. Nancy and Eddie.
“We’re high,” she says, and he blinks.
“You’re…”
“He’s higher than me,” she says, and Steve’s never heard her voice like this, mumbly and slow and almost childish. Her lashes flutter as she blinks, gesturing with a lazy hand. “But ‘m also high. But you’re not.”
Confusion tangles with frustration in Steve’s chest, and she can see it on his face as he looks her up and down again, his eyes skimming deftly over her bare legs and Eddie’s fucking t-shirt and her tangled, frizzy hair.
“We didn’t fuck, Steve,” she says too loudly, looking at him like he’s being ridiculous, and he splutters out, “You can’t— You can’t blame me for thinking that!”
“Oh my god,” she says, exasperated, and he huffs.
“Why am I here? It’s like three in the morning.”
“Look,” she says, looking at the ground, holding a hand up. “I made brownies. We had one each, and then we shared two blunts, and then Eddie got hungry and forgot there’s pot in the brownies. And now he’s too high.”
“You made… pot brownies,” he says slowly, his mind reeling. Her expression changes, shifting into a terrifying combination of annoyance and frustration.
“Focus, Steve,” she says loudly. “He’s too high. I’m too high to help him.”
“Why’d you call me?”
“You’re, like— the mom!” she says, tossing a hand in his direction, gesturing aimlessly.
“Wha— Why?”
“You were a lifeguard.”
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“What, would rather I call Mike?” she asks, throwing a hand again.
“Why are you shit-talking your little brother?”
“Everyone else does.”
“That’s why you shouldn’t, he’s your brother.”
“Steve,” she almost shouts. “You’re not focussing.”
“Oh my god,” he says, exasperated, trying to push past her. “Where is he?”
“Sofa,” she says, pushing the door open further and moving aside so he can come in. “I can’t move him, he’s too heavy.”
Steve steps inside. The smell of weed hits him hard, and he holds back another Oh my god.
Eddie is laying on the sofa, looking up at the ceiling blankly, his eyes glazed over and unblinking. One of his arms is up against the back of the sofa and the other is hanging down, his fingertips brushing the ground.
“Eds,” Steve says, crouching by the sofa and nudging his shoulder. “You in there?”
Eddie stares at the ceiling, silent for a moment before, “…Steve?”
“Yeah, I’m here.”
“…Where are you?” Eddie asks lightly, his eyes searching the ceiling like he’s going to find Steve on it.
“Turn your head,” Steve says, begrudgingly amused as Eddie turns his head slowly to face the back of the sofa. “Other way, Eddie.”
Eddie’s bloodshot eyes widen when they find Steve, and Steve suppresses a smile as Eddie breathes, “Wow.”
“How you feel?” Steve asks softly.
“Goo-o-o-od,” Eddie slurs, grinning deliriously. “Nancy’s a baker.”
“Is she,” Steve says dryly.
“Mm. Nancy baker. Good ass baker. I’m a baker. I’m baked. Steve, I’m baked.” He giggles, his whole face lighting up, eyes squeezing shut as his cheeks squish up, the lines in his skin deepening beautifully.
Nancy is giggling behind Steve, and without turning to look at her, he calls, “Nancy, don’t you touch those brownies.”
There’s a moment of silence, except for Eddie’s giggling, and then she huffs and there’s a clatter of a knife on the counter.
“Mom,” she calls back, and he rolls his eyes.
“Steve,” Eddie stage-whispers. “Do you wanna bake?”
Steve blinks at him.
“No, Eddie,” he says calmly. “No, I don’t.”
“But it’s so fun-n-n…”
“I know, Eds, but someone’s gotta keep you in check.”
“‘S nice of you, Stevie.”
“Eddie!” Nancy calls from the kitchen, and Eddie beams at the sound of her voice, his eyes closing as he lifts his chin and says her name back. “Steve thought we fucked.”
“Nancy,” Steve snaps, looking at her with wide eyes as Eddie gasps dramatically.
“I would never,” Eddie says loudly. “Nancy Baker is a beautiful woman, but she is not my type, ‘m afraid.”
“Nancy Baker,” Steve repeats under his breath, turning back to Eddie as Nancy laughs in a way Steve’s never heard her laugh, open and loud and childish.
“Why?” Nancy says, her voice teasing. “Why am I not your type, Eds?”
“You be quiet,” he says to the ceiling, closing his eyes, his face red.
“Tell him!”
“No.”
“You can tell him!”
“I’m not gonna,” Eddie sings loudly.
Steve huffs.
“Nance, leave him alone,” he says. “Eddie, you don’t have to tell me anything.”
“Eddie,” Nancy sings back, ignoring Steve. “Tell him!”
“I am not telling Steve Harrington I’m gay, Nancy.”
Steve’s breath catches in his throat, and Nancy claps a hand over her mouth.
“You said it,” she says gleefully after a moment as Steve stares at Eddie, his stomach fluttering, because Eddie’s gay. Because he didn’t want to tell Steve.
“I didn’t tell Steve, I told you.”
“Steve is in the room, you dumbass.”
A few seconds pass before Eddie’s eyes widen at the ceiling, and his face flushes darker, and he looks at Steve, his eyes shining with a fear that Steve fucking hates.
“It’s okay,” Steve says quickly even though he’s still reeling. “It’s cool, Eddie, I don’t— I don’t have a problem with it.”
Eddie blinks at him.
“It’s okay,” Steve says again, nodding. “‘S fine.”
“I told you,” Nancy says from the kitchen.
Eddie rolls onto his side, hiding his face with his hair, groaning, and Steve takes a moment, lowering his head to the sofa cushion and exhaling shakily. He can feel Nancy watching him, but he can’t even bring himself to care.
“Okay,” he says after taking another deep breath. “Bedtime, Eds, come on.”
“Don’t wanna.”
“Come on, Wayne’s gonna be here in a few hours,” Steve says. “He doesn’t wanna sleep in your bed.”
“…You know Wayne’s schedule?”
“Yeah,” Steve says softly. “Of course.”
Eddie is quiet, still hiding from Steve.
“Eddie, get up."
“Can’t move,” Eddie mumbles into the sofa.
Steve sighs, rubbing his cheek as Nancy snickers.
“Come on,” he says, standing and wincing as his knees pop, tugging at Eddie’s shoulder. Eddie just groans loudly, and Steve sighs again. “I’m gonna help you, Eds, c’mere.”
He leans down and picks up Eddie’s arm, pulling him up so he’s standing, and he’s heavy on Steve as Steve wraps an arm around his waist. He’s soft.
Steve stumbles down the hall with Eddie, whose head falls forward as he groans, his hair hiding his face, and Steve calls to Nancy to not touch the brownies. He smiles when he hears her blow a raspberry at him.
“Oh no,” Eddie says when they sway together, and Steve stops before the doorway of his bedroom.
“You feel sick?”
Eddie stares wide-eyed at the floor, unblinking, unmoving.
“Eds?”
Eddie hums quietly, standing still before his head turns in Steve’s direction slowly, his eyes following behind after a moment.
“You gonna be sick?” Steve asks when he doesn’t say anything.
“…No.”
“You okay?”
Eddie exhales, his glassy eyes skimming over Steve’s face.
“Yeah,” he breathes.
“Bed,” Steve says. “Come on.”
“‘M coming…” Eddie mumbles, and then he giggles. “Coming.”
“Jesus,” Steve mutters, his cheeks flushing.
He gets Eddie into his room and into bed, carefully lowering him so he doesn’t flop, and Eddie writhes, pushing his face into his pillow. The room is dark, lit up by the hall, and Steve flicks on a lamp.
“Where’s Nancy?” Eddie says, his voice muffled by his pillow. “Nancy. ‘S a pretty name. Nancy Wheeler Baker. Nancy. N’ncy…”
Steve gets up to call Nancy’s name down the hall, and she appears after a moment, after flicking off the lights in the living room.
She climbs onto the bed next to Eddie as Steve watches. Eddie wraps an arm around Nancy’s waist, hugging her and grinning as she looks down at him, poking his cheek.
“Edward…”
“Nancelot,” he slurs, and Steve scoffs, raising an eyebrow. “Pretty lady.”
“You are so high,” she says, emphasising every word with a poke to the tip of Eddie’s nose.
“You make good brownies,” he mumbles, his eyes fluttering shut as she keeps poking his nose. “Chef Nancelot.”
“It was a box mix,” Nancy giggles, leaning over his head as he snorts.
“But I could taste your lo-o-o-ove…”
She snorts, snickering and running her hand over his face.
“Are you guys set?” Steve asks, still watching from where he’s leaning against the doorframe. “Am I free?”
“Don’t go,” Nancy says, whining, reaching out and making grabby hands at him as Eddie groans. “Sleepover.”
He stares for a moment, hesitating, and then Eddie says his name, dragging it out dramatically, desperately.
“Stevie-e-e-e…”
Steve sighs, glancing at the dark window, and he gives in, kicking his shoes off as Nancy cheers, clapping happily. He climbs onto Eddie’s bed on his other side.
They’re all too close, Eddie laying partially on top of Nancy’s legs, and Steve leans against the wall next to Nancy, their shoulders almost touching.
Eddie rolls over, against Steve’s legs, and Steve looks at him. His eyes are closed, his lips curved into a happy smile, and Steve can’t help but reach down to the top of his head that’s at Steve’s waist. His hair is messy, tangled, and Steve pushes his fingers into it. Eddie hums.
“Didn’t know you guys were so close,” he says softly to Nancy.
“‘S my best friend,” she says lightly. “You know… your whole thing with Robin?”
“Platonic with a capital P,” Steve says softly.
“Mhmm. ‘S Eddie and me.”
“Soulmates?” Steve says softly. Nancy nods, smiling. “Never would’ve thought.”
She giggles quietly, scrunching her nose.
“Valedictorian and super-super senior.”
“Mhmm.”
“Eddie Munson,” she sings softly, reaching to play with the end of one of Eddie’s curls. Eddie is still smiling, head tilted up into Steve’s hand, and Steve can’t tell if he’s asleep or not.
“Eddie Munson,” Steve repeats like he’s agreeing.
“Never would’ve thought,” Nancy says quietly, almost pointedly, giving Steve a look.
“Thought what?”
Her gaze lowers to his hand in Eddie’s hair, eyebrows raised, and she reaches out to poke the back of it. (Nancy pokes a lot when she’s high, apparently.)
“I’m just…” Steve trails off, unable to find an excuse, and his cheeks flush.
“‘S cool,” she says lightly.
They’re quiet.
Steve listens to Eddie breathe, and as he scratches at his scalp gently, he thinks he doesn’t mind that Nancy called him as much as he did when he arrived.
“Steve,” Nancy says quietly after a while, after shifting and slumping against the wall. She’s resting her arm across Eddie’s chest.
“Yeah,” Steve whispers.
“…You’re too hard on yourself, you know that?”
He blinks, his eyes looking across the room at the mess of posters that are covering Eddie’s wall.
“Oh,” he says.
“You, like…” She sighs heavily. “You’re not… the same. But you keep all that guilt inside you. And you… act like you’re this whole new person, this… this nice guy. But you’re still a bully.”
His chest clenches, and he looks at her, his eyes burning.
“Because you’re so mean to yourself,” she adds after a moment. “I think… there’s a little part of King Steve still inside you, you… beat the shit out of him every day.” She’s mumbling, talking so softly that it’s almost like she’s talking to herself.
“But if you’re— if you’re gonna be Steve Steve, our Steve, the— the Steve that’s best friends with a dorky lesbian and a fourteen-year-old nerd, you gotta… forgive yourself. Let King Steve go.”
Steve blinks tears back, swallowing thickly, exhaling shakily, because she’s right. King Steve lives inside him, like he’s hiding in his ribcage, and Steve won’t leave him alone. He torments him, bullies him. Even though King Steve is just a kid, just a scared, lonely kid without a clue about what or who he is. Even though Steve knows King Steve was pretending the whole time. Lying. Wearing a false crown.
“…You know about Robin?” he asks weakly, his voice wobbly, and Nancy smiles a little bit.
“I know well.”
He looks over at her, and she looks up at him, seeing the confusion in his watery eyes.
“Like recognizes like,” she says softly.
Oh.
His lips twitch into a smile, and she grins.
“Who would’ve thought?” Steve murmurs.
Nancy smiles so brightly that her eyes squeeze shut, and she leans so her head is resting on Steve’s shoulder.
Steve tilts his head to rest on hers.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t love you like I was supposed to,” Nancy says after a while, her voice soft.
“You weren’t supposed to love me, Nance,” Steve says, closing his eyes. “You can’t… You can’t make yourself love someone just because you think you have to. It’s okay.”
“I wanted to,” she whispers.
“It’s okay,” he says again.
She’s quiet again, and he thinks she’s fallen asleep until she speaks again.
“I do love you,” she says quietly. “Just… platonically.”
“With a capital P,” Steve murmurs, and he can practically sense her smile.
“Yeah.”
“‘S cool, Nance,” he says softly. “I love you too.”
He drifts off as she falls asleep, feeling her head become heavier on his shoulder, and at some point they both shift in discomfort on the wall, sitting up straight and groaning quietly. They glance at each other in the dark lighting of the room, and Nancy shifts to lie down on the bed next to Eddie, wrapping her arm around him and sighing. Steve follows, moving slowly so Eddie can shift with him, still laying on top of him on the small mattress.
Steve falls asleep.
He wakes up to Eddie climbing on top of him, and he winces, cracking his eyes open to squint in the bright sunlight that’s shining through the room. Eddie’s legs wrap around his hips and he buries his face in Steve’s neck as he sighs, and Nancy shifts closer to Steve in her sleep.
Steve sets a hand across Eddie’s back, holding him, and Nancy finds Steve’s other arm before he can wrap it around Eddie, hugging it to herself and nuzzling into his shoulder. Steve smiles.
Eddie rubs his face into Steve’s neck again, taking a deep breath, and then he lifts his head, his body tightening and trembling for a moment.
He’s squinting when he looks down at Steve, brows furrowed adorably. He blinks blankly at Steve, whose smile widens.
“You still high?” Steve asks softly.
Eddie stares for a moment before his lips curve into a smile, and he shrugs.
“‘M on top of Steve Harrington in my bed,” he says, his voice rough. “Might be.”
Steve laughs lightly, closing his eyes. Eddie shifts to touch his face, poking his cheek and tracing the bridge of his nose and outlining his lips.
“Feels real,” Eddie murmurs.
“‘M real, Eds.”
“‘M gonna go back to sleep,” Eddie mumbles, sticking his face back in Steve’s neck. His breath is warm.
“Okay.”

Utter Chaos
Oof, this may be the dumbest and most chaotic thing I've ever written. I'm writing the second part to the fic where the Party forgot Steve's birthday so stay tuned. Please leave your thoughts in the comments!
~*~*~*~
Robin was his best friend, his ride or die, his Platonic soulmate with a capital P. He knew she still wasn’t comfortable enough  to come out to the Party just as he wasn’t. So when she accidentally made a gay comment that outed herself, of course Steve jumped to focus everyone’s attention on himself.
Robin was talking to Nancy about the failures of dating or something when it happened. She laughed at Nance’s comment about having crushes on poor choices.
“Yeah, I had a crush on Vickie until I found out she had a boyfriend.” Robin’s eyes widened as soon as she realized what she said.
“I mean-“ her panicked eyes whipped over to Steve’s and he knew he had to fix it.
“How’d you get over it? My crush on Eddie just won’t go away.” He asked, sounding confident and nonchalant but his insides were riling.
His words caused Eddie to suck in a deep breath of air and start choking. Steve looked at him and patted his back which only seemed to make the choking worse.
“Dude, are you okay?” Eddie just gave an undignified whimper in response.
Nancy’s eyes narrowed on Steve, “so what, you’re gay now?”
He felt oddly defensive in the face of her scrutiny and narrowed his eyes in retaliation. “No, I’m half-gay. What’s it to you?”
Robin cut Nancy off from the tirade that was sure to come, “Steve, it’s called bisexual.”
“Yeah, I’m that. I like guys and girls.”
Nancy paled a few shades, “that-that’s a thing?”
“Um yeah, obviously. I didn’t really realize it until I saw Eddie in the boat shed though.”
Eddie’s back tensed under Steve’s hand and he made a muffled shout of frustration and outrage. Steve just gave his shoulder a pat in commiseration. Yeah, he’d been there for months. Welcome to the club, Munson.
The rest of the Party was silent. Dustin was staring between him and Eddie in unbridled glee like all of his wishes had come true. Lucas and Max looked unperturbed like they’d known for months which knowing them, they might have. Will looked hopefully ecstatic and El was smiling happily. Mike though, looked pissed.
“That’s disgusting!” Mike yelled with his lip curled in disgust.
“Shut the hell up, Mike!” Nancy yelled at her brother.
Robin, Steve, and Eddie whipped their heads toward her but she just shrugged. “He shouldn’t talk to you guys like that. Plus, I’ve had a crush on Robin for weeks. I just didn’t know it was okay.”
Robin gasped obnoxiously and started hitting Steve’s shoulder over and over again. “Oh my god, oh my god, Steve! Oh my god! Can you believe this? Oh my god, no, does this violate our bro code? Oh no, she broke your heart. Of course you wouldn’t want me dating her.”
Steve just shook his head, “Robs, I just want you to be happy. I don’t mind if you want to date my ex. But if Nance hurts you like she hurt me, I’m gonna go after her and make her regret it.”
“Oh, thanks Steve!” She hugged him and he closed his eyes. At least everything had turned out right in the end.
He didn’t notice Hopper and Joyce at the top of the stairs. They were both staring into the basement in confusion at what they’d just heard. All Hop could do was look at Joyce in utter befuddlement and mouth “what the fuck just happened?”
She just shrugged her shoulders, how the hell would she know?

I remembered the song All Dolled Up by theOrionExperience and realised that it's SO Holydust besties coded!! A fun night out to forget their troubles for a few hours and just enjoy each other's company.
You can take this as a writing prompt if you feel like writing about it <33
Indigo (platonic holydust advocate)
As a fellow platonic holydust advocate I'm in! And somehow I made it about Adamsapple angst lol It's my superpower apparently.
Feel free to send more prompts/asks!
"Hey, you wanna go out and get fucked up tonight?" Angel asked Adam as he stood in the sinners doorway.
Oh boy did Adam need some fun. "Fuck yeah, ready when you are."
"Great, let's go." Adam followed Angel out and down to the lobby. He didn't miss the side eye that Angel gave Husk. "We're going out, later."
"Where are you going?" Lucifer asked from his spot on the couch.
Adam rolled his eyes. "Out. Later." He stomped out the front door. "Everything okay with you and whiskers?"
Angel snorted, "I could ask you the same thing about his majesty."
Adam looked away scowling. "Fair enough."
"I'm too sober for this shit, let's get plastered."
Adam and Angel went to a popular club in Hell, where they did shots and drank so much their blood was more alcohol than ichor by midnight.
"Can you believe he said that he wanted to slow shit down? Like shit baby if we go any slower we'll turn into fucking snails! We haven't even fucked yet." Angel drunkenly ranted as he downed another shot.
Adam hummed, taking his own. "At least you don't have everyone making fucking jabs at you about being the King's fucking boy toy. Saying that you're just a royal cock sleeve til his cunt wife comes home."
Angel frowned. "Okay you win. That sounds fucking awful. Who the fuck said that? I'll fuck them up for you!"
Adam laughed. "It's mostly that Bambi motherfucker but he doesn't know shit! What Luci and I have is real!...... I hope." He looked down sadly at the table they were drinking at. Adam felt his lip quiver.
"You really love him, don't you?"
"Of course I do! I always have, I don't really believe in all that soulmate bullshit but if I did, I'm pretty sure he'd be mine...... Why else would it hurt this bad? All I ever wanted was for him to love me." Get a few drinks into Adam and he becomes super honest. "I never forgot him. How could I? I tried so fucking hard to hate him Angel, but I can't, not really."
"Well, if he can't wake up and smell the fucking coffee and see how great you are then it's his loss bud. Someone will see it." Angel tried, it was hard to be comforting while half snapped. Sure, him and Husk had issues but they were any sized compared to Adam and Lucifer's drama. Dating a King comes with King sized drama, who knew. "I thought you guys were dating."
"Who fucking knows. Fucker sends so many mixed signals."
"Let's forget about all this shit for now and just have a good time, yeah? We need it." Angel said handing him another shot.
Adam downed it in one go. "Fuck yeah."
By the time they got home to the hotel, it was only Lucifer and Husk still waiting up in the lobby for their boyfriends. Adam and Angel burst through the door laughing and joking.
Adam plopped down on the couch next to Lucifer and Angel was taken to bed by Husk who wished he had breath mints for his baby.
Adam looked at the king. "Heyyyyy.~" He leaned over and poked Lucifer on the cheek. "How you doing?"
"You're fucking drunk as hell."
"Nah uh, you're drunk and short." Adam burst into a fit of laughter at his own joke and Lucifer rolled his eyes playfully.
"Yup, very drunk. Can you even walk?" Lucifer asked as he moved to stand in front of Adam.
Adam picked up his leg and looked down at his foot. He gasped loudly. "Oh my god! I have no toes!" Lucifer had to bite his lip to keep from laughing. Apparently drunk Adam forgot he had hooves.
"Those have been there the whole time, Adam."
"And you weren't gonna fucking tell me? Rude." Adam pouted and crossed his arms. He whined when Lucifer picked him up bridal style and held him close. "Hey!"
"Shhh, let's get you to bed." Lucifer thought about placing Adam in his own room, but decided to take him to his instead. Really, he was there so much they might as well just share the damn room.
Adam had taken to playing with Lucifer's bow tie and looking intently at the king. He felt his heart flutter, he loved Luci so much. He wrapped his arms more securely around Lucifer's neck and placed a kiss on his cheek before nuzzling his face into the king's neck breathing in his smell. Brimstone and something more earthy Adam couldn't place.
This surprised Lucifer, Adam wasn't one for gushy feelings or showing of affection. But he'll take what he can get.
Lucifer sat Adam down on the bed and helped him under the covers. Once he was settled, Lucifer got in on the other side. He watched Adam lay there, looking all around until his eyes landed on Lucifer. "Why don't you love me?"
Lucifers eyes went wide. "What are you talking about? I do love you."
Adam sniffed and looked away sadly. "That's not what I hear..."
Lucifer would really rather have this conversation with a sober Adam. "Look, I don't know what people are saying but listen to me when I say this. I love you, Adam. You mean the fucking world to me." He placed his hand on Adams cheek.
"Yeah?" Adam gave him a teary smile.
"Yes." Lucifer kissed him sweetly, he tasted like tequila. "Get some sleep, dove." Adam held out his arms and Lucifer chuckled. Drunk Adam was also very clingy. "Come here, you."
Adam snuggled against Lucifer's chest and sighed happily, he was even happier when he felt a hand in his hair messaging it gently.
Lucifer would have to be sure to show Adam how much he means to him. When he was sober of course.

Pairing: Alastor x f!Reader
Summary: He wouldn’t give anything for her.
Word Count: 1,494
Warnings: toxic relationship, emotional abuse, manipulation, drinking, soulmate au…ish
A/N: alrighty friends so this is part 2 of devotion and uh… it’s rough. this is not a healthy relationship. I’ve got one part planned after this one. if you like happy endings, please just pretend that devotion had one part, okay?
--
She dutifully followed Alastor through the double doors into the smoke and dim lighting of Mimzy’s. It was early in the day, but as it was still Hell, the bar had a few patrons here and there. The pair approached the bar, where Husker was working on loan to Mimzy.
“My doe, please do stay here with Husker. I have some business to discuss with Mimzy. And if you do get bored, there are a few thugs in the abandoned building at the end of the block that could use dealing with. Oh, and don’t forget you still must go to the butcher, you know the one.”
“The one across town? But Al, there’s a butcher on the next street ov - “ She stops at the raise of his brow. “Of course, Al, I’ll go to the one in Cannibal Town. I know you like it better.”
He doesn’t acknowledge her again, turning on his heel to go into Mimzy’s office to discuss business.
“So how long has he been treatin’ you like that?”
She startles at Husk’s question, but relaxes upon seeing his genuine expression. “Like what, Husk?”
“You know what I mean. How long has he had so much control over you?”
A shrug was all she could muster. “Oh, long before I met him on Earth, I’m sure.”
She could watch Husker trying to figure out the phrasing for his next question, the confusion written plainly on his face. “How’d he own your soul before you even met him, in the living world?”
“Oh! Husk, no, he doesn’t – well, not exactly – he -” she focused her energy inward, a black cord coiling around her middle before snaking off to find Alastor. “He doesn’t own my soul, Husker. He’s my soulmate. Platonically, obviously, not the red string of fate, romantic nonsense.”
It was something she’d never seen in Hell aside from her and Al, but people could hide it, so she had to assume there were others. Based on the look Husker was giving her, though, it wasn’t something he was used to seeing either.
“O...kay… so you’re soulmates. Which means you… share in owning souls, right? If one of you two makes a deal, it’s automatically split between you?”
“Well it’s not like I asked to…”
“Uh huh, we’re coming back to that. But, that means your power is… equal to his. You’re an overlord. Why do you let him treat you like that if he doesn’t own you?”
“He treats me fine, Husk. He’s just – well. you know. He’s Al.”
“When was the last time he consulted you or even told you afterwards about a decision affecting both of you?”
Her lack of answer was answer enough for him.
“That’s what I thought. He doesn’t respect you. He’s using you, just like the rest of his little pets.” He spat the last word with such malice, she couldn’t help but wonder what Alastor was doing with the Sinners whose souls he owned. She assumed they all had decent jobs and responsibilities, like Husker and his bartending. She filed that question away in her mind to consider later.
She gave Husker a warning look, though. She couldn’t just let people refer to her as Alastor’s lapdog. But… that’s what she was, wasn’t she? When had he consulted her about decisions? Well, never, but isn’t that the way she had wanted it?
“I’m sorry, I just…” Husk allows himself to trail off when he realizes she’s no longer listening to him. He fills up her whiskey, her usual drink.
“Husk?”
“Yeah?”
“Can you make me something different? Something new?”
He let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding before mixing her a Tequila Sunrise and leaving her to her thoughts.
As she’s finishing her third drink, Alastor emerges from Mimzy’s office, and the day outside had turned to night. She hooked her arm through Alastor’s proffered elbow, allowing him to guide her out. She pretended not to notice the pitying look Husker was trying to hide from view.
When they stepped out into the night, Alastor finally acknowledged her. “And what all did you get up to while I was busy, my dear?”
“Oh, nothing really, just talking with Husker. He made me a new drink to try! It’s called a Tequila Sunrise.” Alastor wrinkled his nose at her description. “Oh, I don’t think you’d like it at all, Al, it’s very sweet. And I know you’re not a fan of… well, anything but bourbons and whiskeys really.”
“That’s nice, dear. Shall we head back home then?”
She nodded, and suddenly his shadows were swallowing them and depositing them back at Al’s radio tower. She said nothing as Alastor fixed himself a drink, turned on the radio, and made himself comfortable on the sofa. She stood motionless, watching him go about his business as if she weren’t in the room.
“My doe, why don’t you come sit?”
She shook her head slightly before glancing up, remembering that Alastor didn’t make real requests. He made demands framed as requests. She crossed the room, sitting on the edge of the sofa cushion, her back straight and tense, her eyes facing straight forward.
“My dear, what is going on with you tonight? You’re not yourself.” His tone gave away a concern his face would never.
She took a deep breath to steady herself, remembering that they were soulmates for Lucifer’s sake. She could talk to him. He couldn’t hurt her without hurting himself anyway, so they’d have to resolve anything like adults – with proper communication. Which, despite his life being in radio communications, Alastor was distinctly bad at.
“Al, do you actually respect me? Or am I just someone to run your errands?”
“Of course I respect you, my dear! I don’t keep people around if I don’t respect them.” Her eyebrow raised in disbelief. “Well, if I don’t respect them or own them, at least. Where’s this coming from?” His eyes were tense, his smile tight, as if he were clenching his teeth.
“You just… I’m never included in business deals. You’ve never taken me to Overlord meetings. People think I’m someone who made a deal with you, not someone who’s an equal partner with you.” She looked down shamefully, missing Alastor’s eyes briefly turn to the dials that signified his rising temper.
He cleared his throat, forcing himself to calmly respond. His tone was upbeat and his smile was wide, his eyes the only sign of his inner thoughts. “Why didn’t you just say so! I hadn’t included you in dealings because you’ve never asked! And I would never subject you to Overlord levels of danger and responsibilities if you didn’t want it, ma chérie!”
She looks up at him then, a soft smile not quite reaching the crinkles of her eyes.
“Did Husker make you doubt your place with me, my doe? I can take care of that. Permanently.”
All forgiveness she had been feeling in that moment vanished with the threat on her friend. Maybe her only friend, she allowed herself to think briefly. She jumped off the sofa, Alastor following her with a slightly panicked look on his face. Her eyes flashed green dials, shadows darkening the room, and green strings shooting out to tie everything together. She bared her teeth as her own antlers grew. “You will do – NO – SUCH – THING.”
Alastor took a single step back, his smile not quite faltering. She had never had the confidence to threaten him, not ever. He wasn’t even sure she had known she had that kind of power, let alone how to use it.
“Of course, of course! I wouldn’t hurt someone under your protection, I just wanted you to know that I will take care of any potential pests that would come between us! There’s absolutely no need to worry.” He started taking steps toward her, his hand outstretched.
The moment he touched her, she deflated, coming back into her normal calm state. “I’m sorry, Al. Just… don’t hurt Husker, alright?”
“Of course. I wouldn’t harm a fur on his fluffy little head.” He ruffled her hair, smiling softly down at her as exhaustion took over her features. “Now, I’ve got to do my show -”
“Can I stay and listen tonight?”
“Anything you want, my dear.”
She curled up on the sofa, watching Alastor, allowing her mind to wander to all the wrong places. She knew what he played on his radio show, but where did he get them? She’d never even thought to ask. He hadn’t really promised her anything, had he? Not until she showed her teeth.
She sighed, bringing his attention back to her for a brief moment. He flashed a genuine smile over his shoulder, the screams playing a perfect background to the scene as she brought her hand to the bit scar that had once made her feel so close to him. She watched him, not for the first time, but for the first time really looking for any clues about his true motivations and feelings toward her.

How Steve came out to Robin (It's before season 4 and after season 3):
Warning: Smutty talk, a little bit of underage drinking, past stommy x carol.
They're hanging out at Steve's house and hanging upside down on his couch as they watching TV.
"At this point, it seems more likely that you're going to have sex with a guy than I'm going to have sex with a girl," Robin said. "I mean, it's not a big deal. There's no rush. I can wait. . .oh, who am I kidding. . . Julie Christie is unnecessarily pretty. . . "
"I guess you're going to have sex with a girl then," Steve giggled.
They might have gotten a little drunk. Robin rushed to sit up and ended up falling off the couch.
"You had sex with a guy?!" Robin asked. "Is that what you're saying to me, Stephanopolis Harrington?
"Not my name, Roboobin!" Steve exclaimed. "I mean, technically. I guess. There was a girl in between us, though, and our dicks touched. . . Does that count? Does that mean I'm gay now?"
"I don't know, did you get, you know. . .," Robin leaned closed to whisper. "Hard?"
"I am NOT talking about this with you, Boobin!" Steve yelled.
"Who else are you going to talk about this with, Hardington?" Robin giggled. "Get it?"
"Ugh, yes, fine. . .just a little bit, and it was only because Carol was there. . .probably," Steve said.
"You touched dicks with Tommy H?" Robin asked.
"How do you know it was Tommy?" Steve asked with a gasp.
"Dingus, do you know any other Carol?" Robin asked.
Steve scrambled off the couch and knelt in front of Robin.
"Does mean that I'm - what's that word from that zine - ?" Steve asked.
"Bilingual?" Robin asked. "No, that's me."
"Bicycle?" Steve asked, and then they both giggled.
"Bisexual!" They said together.
"No. No. I mean, I don't think so," Steve said, scrunching up his nose.
"Have you ever thought about doing stuff with a guy before?" She asked.
"I thought about kissing Tommy just to shut him up sometimes," Steve said. "And don't straight people on some level think all people are fuckable?"
"No, you bisexual dumbass, you're not straight at all!" Robin giggled.
"Neither one of us is straight!" Steve giggled.
"Hell yeah! Queer five! One for hand for the lesbian and two hands for the bisexual!" Robin laughed. "And so. . .the queer platonic soulmates lived queerily ever after!"
The next morning, Steve woke up with a killer hangover to find that he and Robin had swapped clothes again. He headed towards the kitchen to find Robin on the island snuggling with a squash.
"It's always some sort of fruit or vegetable," Steve muttered. "Robin! Wake up!"
"I got the baby! I'm a good godmother!" Robin groaned.
"It's not any of the kids, Robin," Steve said. "Let the squash go."
He would laugh if his head didn't hurt so much. Robin opened her eyes and burst into laughter, and then she slapped her hand to her forehead, groaning.
"You should look in the mirror," Robin laughed.
Steve wandered into the hallway and looked into the mirror hanging up on the wall. He rolled his eyes. Written in Robin's lipstick on his forehead were the words. BI DUMBASS.
"It's not fair," Steve whined as Robin came up behind him. "You got to come out when you were sober!"
"Aw," Robin said, squishing his cheeks. "My poor bi baby."
"You know, Eddie Munson came into Family Video the other day, and there was some chocolate on his lips. I just thought that it was one of those impulsive thoughts, you know?" Steve said. "But I really wanted to lick it off."
"How did I ever think you were straight?!"

Ok so question (because I enjoy your analysis on these characters in the bear).
People who share the opinion that Carmy and Sydney should remain platonic soulmates and agree they have chemistry but they don’t read it as romantic.
From my vantage point I see the editing as obviously suggestive with the parallels in his relationship to Claire vs Syd.
Carmy obviously outwardly shows his interest on a seemingly subconscious level and with changed behavior.
Sydney on the other hand reads as very guarded (relatable) but still seeking connection as someone else pointed out. She hasn’t done any work to change that in terms of actively going to therapy. So I’m confused as to why people would think that a person as guarded as she is would outwardly like Carmy reciprocate her deep down romantic feels that I would assume she suppressing. She’s obviously good at it because she’s ambitious and a working professional. Case in point her reaction to Marcus’s date request.
What I do feel people should maybe reflect on more is her reaction to ‘Who’s Claire?’ Where I do agree that it was mostly frustration due to Camry dropping the ball and significant part was subconscious romantic jealousy. Also her insistence on him defining their (Claire and Carmy’s) relationship. Lastly, there’s no way in hell I would accept someone telling my boyfriend “I don’t want to share your focus” and him responding with “you deserve my focus” while she’s fully aware he’s in a relationship that SHE put him in 😂…because WHAT!?!
Sorry this was long and yeah I’d love to hear your thoughts?
Sydney desire for Carmy to define his relationship with Claire comes from Sydney wanting to know where she stands. She's ambitious an smart. She's let Carmy get away with a lot in her short time knowing each other, but she's reached a point where she's investing a lot in his restaurant. She needs to know if it's time to cut bait. Sydney deserves to know is she's working against a relationship that's going to continue to get in the way of The Bear?
And then she does what Sydney does. She tells Carmy how she wants to be treated. She tells him “I don’t want to share your focus.” I think by the time Carmy replies with, "You deserve my focus" he already knows he's going to break things off with Claire so in his mind he isn't really committing himself to another person while he has a girlfriend. He just hasn't seen Claire yet to do it. I think that's part of his distraction and lack of interest in Claire being at the restaurant at all. I doubt her meant to break up with her the way he did, but I also think Claire could have talked him out of doing it if they'd been face to face which is something to think about too.
As for Marcus... I almost feel bad because as early as Copenhagen I could see that he had probably been nursing a crush that Sydney inadvertently egged along throughout S1 and early S2. But once it's a real question instead of hints and international phone calls, she politely but firmly says no. Which also makes me think, part of Sydney wanting Carmy to define things between him and Claire is so she can sus out whether or not he's one of those guy who just strings a girl along. I think that's as much what she's getting at in the beginning of their conversation about him being shitty and that he's the one who makes it more about her.
And like the "Who's Claire?" moment of jealousy, it works because it's personal hurt hiding behind very neatly behind earned professionally annoyance.

in a world where everyone lives and are actors on a stage: aot
— i'll always look out for you; yeah, that's what i'll do.
armin arlert x best friend female reader
Tumblr media
you're seated in a dim room with only mellow overhead lights as the only illumination. the studio is designed this way for your current schedule — a lie detector test concerning your role in your current series and work as an actress. being one of the well-known stars in show business because of your involvement in the hit show attack on titan, you're almost always invited to interviews and gigs now that the final part of the season is expected to air a couple of months from now. mostly, you're with your co-stars — never a dull moment — but this time, this specifically asked for your participation. as one of the main characters, your acting has made your name in every platform there is and the fame that comes with it is unexpected and stressful, and yet, it is an appreciation to the work you've put out in the years.
questions passed about your relationship with your cast members, how a romantic development blossomed while filming for four seasons, and the interests that you managed to mention so long ago. so far, you're having fun — your smile hidden as you answer the necessary yes and no to certain questions (given that you're asked to be serious at every minute and second in this interview) and having to avoid a specific question about personal matters with your relationships.
"you're best friends with your co-star, armin arlert."
you hum in response and smile a little.
armin is your best friend since you can remember. even if everyone in the cast is considered your family now, armin places a special spot in your chest. you were both casted at the same time and brought to the studio at the same time (something that has to do with testing out the chemistry between you, him, eren, and mikasa), making your bond as tight-knit as possible. he's been by your side in every period of your life and you cheered for each other when the both of you would win at an awards show. armin has been your rock, your platonic soulmate even (don't tell mikasa), and it's a crime for you to say that a simple friendship with him summarizes your relationship because that mere phrase doesn't fully capture the entanglement of fate between you two. there are so many moments caught on camera but those that are witnessed behind the flashing lights are something that you always cherish. armin often jokes that he's your brother from another mother or maybe you're fraternal twins who got separated by birth because why on hell do you finish each other's sentences like it's a pop quiz?
"would a best friend let someone have this haircut?"
the interviewer pulls out a picture that haunts you for years. you can't help but let out a little whimper of prevented laughter. the picture is a scene from the previous seasons where armin still has that bob cut that became a sensation through the years. you have nothing against it, really, it's just ... it is funny seeing it after armin chopped his hair off at some point.
"he signed up for that," you vaguely answer, the smile pulling on your lips.
"do you think the writers of attack on titan are out to get him?"
"absolutely."
"do you think he looks good?"
you breathe a laugh. you look down at the picture and the laughter bubbles in your chest that you have to glance away. "i love him. so much."
"answer the question please," says the administrator.
"yes, i do think he looks good," you immediately answer, chuckling under your breath. "sorry, sorry, yes, he looks ... amazing. that's my armin right there."
"in this haircut?"
you slightly shake your head yet you answer, "of course."
"that's a lie," the administrator points out.
you then grumble, "get that picture out of here."

Okay so I’m not usually super into soulmate aus but what about a world that emphasizes romantic soulmates but doesn’t really talk about platonic soulmates, but also not everyone has a soulmate, they’re like, a little bit rare. And so sometime after starcourt , hell after spring break even, Robin and Steve find out they really are soulmates and that has Robin questioning her sexuality AGAIN because how could she be a lesbian if her soulmate was a man? Also what about her thing for Vickie? And the way seeing Nancy hold a gun made her feel all tingly? And Steve is like, huh im glad I didn’t make a move on Eddie yet because this would be awkward if I had
And so they sort of decide ‘well I guess we should try to be together if that’s what fate has said’ and so they like try for a few weeks and they awkwardly make out and stuff and do a little bit of heavy petting and it’s funny because of course it is, it’s STEVE and ROBIN, but right before they can get to anything penetrative, Robins like “wait, no, dude. I am 100% positive i am a lesbian. Please put your penis away right now immediately” and anyway that’s how they figure out that platonic soulmates are real and valid and legit and schools just don’t teach about them and they don’t make movies about them even though they SHOULD. And down the line they find out that yeah they’re not the only ones, people just don’t talk about it. And so Robin ends up with Vickie or Nancy or someone and Steve finally asks Eddie out and idk use your imagination everyone lives happily ever after I just want a platonic stobin soulmate au

Day 17
prompt: Platonic Stobin | words: 930 | rated: t | no cw | tags: best friends Steve & Robin, established Steddie, Steve's in crisis mode but Robin is there to help
Escape Plan
„What if we’re not gonna make it?“
Steve is pacing up and down the corridor, nervous hands tugging at his own hair, messing up the carefully styled mop. He’s been doing that for at least 15 minutes now. Steve is stressed.
Robin has tried everything to calm him down, to reassure him everything will be fine. But it’s like he’s not listening, or maybe he doesn’t hear her over his own anxious rambling.
She’s never seen him like that. On edge, yeah. Sometimes overly dramatic, too. But this, the way he’s freaking out right now? That’s new.
And see, she gets it. Today is the day. It all comes down to this one moment. Today they’ll define the rest of their lives. She knows everything will turn out right in the end. They’re destined to make it. There is absolutely no doubt about it but all of Steve’s worry is beginning to rub off on her.
“Steeeeve, please! You need to relax. You’re starting to freak me out. It’s alright. You’re alright! Jeez, babe, stop the- STEVE! STOP!”
Steve freezes when she yells at him, turns to look at her with teary eyes. It breaks her heart a little to see him like this.
“I don’t know if I can do this. What if- what if I fuck it up? What if it doesn’t work and one of us gets hurt? What if- hey! Why’re you smiling like that?”
Robin closes the distance between them, takes his hand in hers.
“Babe. I want you to take a deep breath and listen to me. You won’t fuck this up. There is no way in hell this won’t work out. You two have been through so much already, I don’t think there’s anything you couldn’t work through together.”
Steve huffs out a breath.
   “But-“
Robin shushes him immediately. She’s not gonna give his doubts any more room, won’t let him spiral more than he already has.
“You are the best thing that could’ve ever happened to him and he knows that. He loves you more than anything in this world.”
Steve’s eyes light up just a little bit at her words, lips forming a tentative smile. But Robin can literally see the cogs in his brain turning. He’s not quite there yet.
“You know, if you don’t want to do this, just say the word and I’ll get you out of here. I’ll get the car ready and wait for you outside this window. We can run away together and start a new life somewhere like, Mexico, maybe. Or Canada.”
It’s meant as a joke, mostly. But truth is, she would do exactly that if he asked her to. She’d do just about anything for her favourite dingus.
Because Steve is her soulmate, her best friend, her family. Robin will forever be thankful for crossing paths with Steve all those years ago. Even after everything she got dragged into – going through literal hell, fighting monsters from another dimension, getting kidnapped and drugged by Russians, nearly dying more than once. She’d do all of it again if it meant to have Steve in her life. So wherever it’ll take him, she’ll follow. She’d leave everyone and everything behind if that’s what it took. They’re a package deal. You can’t get one without the other.
Eddie knows that, accepted it right from the start. He even came to her first, before proposing to Steve. Robin remembers how nervous he was.
“I love him so much, Robs. And I- I know it doesn’t necessarily need rings or- some stupid certificate as proof for anything but- I know he always dreamed about getting married. He gave that up by choosing me, accepted that he couldn’t have this as a man in love with another man. But now we can and- he deserves everything. I want to marry him. I’ll even take his name, I don’t care. I just- if things were different I’d ask his parents but since they’re out of the picture... Robin, can I ask Steve to marry me?”
She remembers their shared tears of joy. Remembers the secret plotting. Remembers Steve’s face when Eddie dropped to one knee and revealed the black velvet covered box holding the ring. Remembers how happy Steve was.
Robin knows that hasn’t changed. He’s just-
“I get that you’re scared, Steve. This is a huge step. But you’ve been together for so long now; you know exactly what you’re getting yourselves into. He wouldn’t have asked you to marry him if he wasn’t sure about this. He wants to spend the rest of his life with you. To love and to hold and to fuck nasty on the kitchen floor.”
Robin grins, wiggles her eyebrows teasingly, and finally she can see the tension in his shoulders ease. Steve barks out a laugh, loud and unrestrained, and it fills Robin with all the happiness of the world.
“Just remember, today changes nothing about your relationship. It’s just a little bonus, the cherry on top.”
   “Thank you, Robs.”
Robin pulls Steve into a tight hug, holds him for a minute or two until there’s a knock on the door.
   “Ready?” she asks.
Steve takes another deep breath.
   “Ready.”
“Let’s go make Eddie a honest man, then. Shall we, Mr Munson?”
Robin knows that everything will be fine. That Steve and Eddie will get their happy ever after because they're in love and nothing can tear them apart. But just in case, just to be sure, she checks for the passport in her purse and the car keys in her blazer pocket.

YOUR TAGS ON MY 14~DONNA/SHAUN POST......FINALLY SOMEONE WHO'S ALSO SO SO NORMAL ABOUT THEM!!!!!!! hello hi....... O.O
YES HI HIII!!! Omg I literally have been thinking about Them nonstop <3 i love me a good queerplatonic situation
sidenote i do believe your post is responsible for my and my sibling's nonstop use of the phrase "queerplatonic V" (which we have been applying to 14~donna/shaun (sidenote we need a cool name for this ship) as well as a few other dynamics in different media. lmao i have a shipping type)
anwyay. here's some of my brainrot Thoughts about them:
Shaun is so supportive of his wife’s newoldfound alien platonic soulmate <3 he’s just happy to see her laugh and smile all the time. where before when she tried to remember she'd get sad and not understand why
Absolutely this fic’s fault but I love the idea of Rose & Shaun being the ones to be like. Oh yeah these guys are queerplatonic as HELL but they'll never notice so they push them together
A special favorite of this dynamic is Shaun making them go on Platonic Date Nights
I also love the idea that the three of them are so supportive of their little throuple that there is simply zero problems with jealousy or whatever. Shoutout to this post that pitches a telepathic alien trying to mess w/ their relationship only for it to fail spectacularly
Honestly it is a tad criminal that we don’t get to see more of Fourteen and Shaun interacting or tbh Shaun in general. I think the Doctor very quickly bonds with the entire Noble-Temple fam
He and Shaun scheme together bc they both know Donna is the most awesome woman in the universe <3 but she apparently DOESN’T so they set up little date nights and such to pamper her lol
Donna and Fourteen tease each other relentlessly they r constantly bickering <3
The three of them also have p much every aspect of parenting Rose covered. Donna and Shaun were already slaying but the Doctor pops in as a fun uncle that helps with her history homework, coaches her through weird metacrisis side effects, and occasionally chats about gender
Sidenote I just love the headcanon that Donna & Rose retain some of the powers from the metacrisis, even though they’ve given most of it up
There’s this one post that was made pre-specials that talks about the idea that Donna vague regeneration powers and I personally like the idea that she can just Do That but never really notices lmao
Also since this is my canon now. Fourteen has the weirdest gender experience of an iteration yet
Obviously the Doctor in general is hella genderfluid but Fourteen doesn’t identify as a guy 100%
They didn’t have time to question it during specials canon and just kinda rolled with the biggest thing that stood out to him, which is being a man again (for the most part) but later on he thinks and observes Rose more and he’s kinda just like. Hmmmm I think theres more to this
Anyway Fourteen uses the/he/they/she pronouns roughly in that order
