Ok hear me out: Gregory did NOT betray Cassie (A theory)

warning: spoilers for the game undercut

So when I was watching Dawko's video I've noticed that at the elevator scene, there were TWO Gregorys talking (obviously the real one and the mimic)

I think I should start off with an "I don't think Cassie is dead" but that's just my opinion, although the theory might still work even if she died I guess.

As for the theory, it may sound a bit weird, but all the evidence I have is the captions

See the two speech line/text (the top is real because he was talking first AND was a continuation of the lines of the Gregory that was helping Cassie)

The second/bottom one, however...

That "Gregory" was the one that betrayed Cassie cuz if you see in the clip here, the one that DOES say 'We can't be followed' is a continuation of the second speech line/text aka what I assume is the mimic

Besides, we know that the mimic could very much control tech and machinery around the pizza plex at least to a degree, so what's really stopping him from dropping Cassie. He doesn't need her anymore.

And in case she survives, she will just put the blame on Gregory. It *is* his voice that she heard after all, which would be beneficial for the mimic to have the only two that know he's free be on opposite sides.

Again, this may be just a caption error and Gregory actually betrayed Cassie. I don't think it is, but that might just be me idk.

Vanessa gets migraines

This is one of the main effects of Glitchtrap using her body as an Airbnb, and it is awful.

Sometimes they’re spontaneous, other times they’re purposely caused by Glitchtrap. He causes them when she’s disobeying him in any sort of way, even during a petty argument.

He’s absolutely obliterated her in public because of this. He won’t hesitate to infect her mind with the most godforsaken migraine to ever exist while she’s out somewhere.

Glitchtrap’s voice in her mind is like fingers shoving into an open wound. But she can’t really do anything to get him to shut up because if she tells him to be quiet, he will surely snap at her, and that’ll make everything ten times worse.

But when he speaks to her, he expects an answer.

“Vanessa. You know I don’t tolerate being ignored when I speak to you.”

So, through pale, cringing lips, with her swollen, aching eyes squinted shut, she will answer, “What?”

“Ah, there you are. See, was that so hard, little bunny?”

Glitchtrap really knows what he’s doing.

Painkillers and medicine not working.

Glitchtrap taunting her, “Really? Crying over a little headache? Need I remind you of the fate I suffered? Your pain is but a pinch in comparison to what I had to endure. Stop your sniveling right now before I make you feel worse.”

Forcing herself to go to work, even though she feels like she’s dying.

Sensitive to bright lights and loud sounds.

Nausea is one of her least favorite symptoms of all because it’s so hindering. How is she supposed to do her rounds when she feels like she’s about to vomit every time her muscles even twitch?

If she moves, she will gag. If she speaks, she will gag.

Sometimes she just has to sit somewhere (preferably a place that’s dark and quiet) and hold her head in her hands for several minutes.

She loves DJ Music Man, but if she goes anywhere near the West Arcade, her head will literally combust. His music will kill her instantly.

If he’s sleeping, though, she won’t mind sitting next to him on the stage for a little while. Just until the whole world stops spinning…

The Daycare is MAJORLY off-limits. Too bright, too loud, and she just can’t handle Sun when her head hurts as bad as it does.

The best places to wallow are the Utility Tunnels and Repair Bay. They’re dark, quiet, and barely anyone goes down there, so she won’t be bothered.

She is NOT in the mood to deal with ANYONE when she’s got a migraine. If someone tries to talk to her, she’ll give them short, clipped responses and hope they get the message to go away.

If someone finds her wallowing, she’ll just mumble out, “Go away” without lifting her head.

Wild ass auras.

Sometimes the edges of her vision will dissolve away into static.

Standing up and then instantly keeling over.

She sometimes has to keep her hair down. She HATES having it down around other people, even the animatronics, but her head just hurts too much to have it pulled back in a ponytail. It makes it feel like it’s peeling the flesh off her scalp.

One night, the Pizzaplex is just too loud. The high squeal of Gregory’s voice, the booming laughter, the thunderous footsteps, the squawking chatter—it’s all just too much. Her head feels like it had an ice pick cleaving into it, and the emotions boil up in her chest like pus from an abscess, and before she knows it, she’s screaming through tears for everyone to just stop.

“Please, for the love of god, shut up! Shut up, PLEASE! I can’t— I can’t handle this today! I can’t handle all the laughing and the talking and the NOISE! It feels like my head is about to explode! Please, just BE QUIET!”

She sinks to her knees, squeezing her head tight between her hands in a vain attempt to combat the excruciating agony, sobbing.

The animatronics and Gregory just stand there, dumbfounded at her sudden outburst when she’s usually so reserved and aloof.
