Her Little Robins | Tim’s Addition
“Hey, what’s a little kid doing outside on this cold winter night?” Little Timothy Drake turns around face red. He tries to hide the pair of binoculars behind his back. There standing before him is one of Gotham’s vigilantes—Kismet in her dark red halter bodysuit with black heeled combat boots and matching jacket. Her red and black mask covering her eyes that was clearly amused to see the young boy watching for the heroes.
“I, um… cookie?” Tim digs into his backpack and pulls it a single Oreo. Kismet giggles and takes the sweet treat away from the boy.
“But seriously kid, what are you doing out here all alone, in the middle of the night no less?” Kismet asks once again; however, this time she takes a seat next to the boy who was now pouting for being caught in such a situation.
“Robin and Batman are my favorite heroes,” He beams, “The way that they work as a team and beat the bad guy. I have every villain card that can be found in Gotham…and I just really want to meet them up close.” Tim’s enthusiasm fades away as he continues to talk about the vigilantes. Kismet hums in responses never once interrupting the boy.
“That was a nice explanation…” Kismet says but her voice fades leaving the blank to be filled.
Tim notices her trailing off and pipes up, “I’m Timothy, but everyone calls me Tim.” He smiles at the hero to which she rubs his head much to his liking. “Hey,” He whines squirming away from her.
“It’s nice to meet you Tim but isn’t it past your bedtime.” Kismet wonders tapping her chin with a thoughtful look on her face.
Tim becomes deflated. “They won’t notice that I’m gone.” He murmurs turning his attention to the bag that lays deflated on the ground. Kismet presses her lips together and places a hand on Tim’s shoulder.
“I’m sure they did, do you wanna talk about or do you want me to take you home?” She asks the second Tim turns to her with watering eyes.
“Don’t you have patrol?” There is hope in his voice.
“This is Batman’s city, I’m just visiting, so technically I don’t have to worry about patrol right now.” She answers finally sitting down next to the young boy. Tim not knowing any better rest his head on her arm. Kismet tense but one look at how comfortable the kid was against her made her relax. “Tu es trop précieux pour ce monde, Tim.” Tim was too precious for the world that is within Gotham.
“What did you say?” He asks softly.
“How about I tell you stories of my adventures until you feel comfortable to go home?” Kismet offers, deflecting Tim’s questions. There will come a day when Tim will learn French that day is not today. Tim nods excitedly and looked up to her with a question in mind. She nods giving him the approval he needed to climb into her lap. Kismet begins to tell him her first mission being Kismet. Starting the blossoming mother-son relationship that Tim desperately needed.
~*~
Tim was having a rough day. This morning his assistant insistent that the Co-CEO of WE should not be drinking coffee after a certain time, which just so happened to be right before noon. They should be lucky that Tim didn’t fire them right then and there. He needs coffee to survive a single workday at WE and that was just his morning drinks. Then during a meeting, there were missing reports upon missing paperwork that still needed to be signed and approved for projects that were ready for the next step. He just wants to take a break and enjoy the remains of his day.
“You know, you shouldn’t work on an empty stomach, my petit oiseau de café.” The one person that could make his whole day bright joke from behind. Marinette was wearing her usual business casual getup which consists of a pale pink blouse with her signature apple blossom emblem on the breast pocket and a grey (sometimes black) knee-length pencil skirt. Her arms were crossed over her chest, but he knows she isn’t upset because of the playful look in her eyes.
“Coffee?” He queries with underlying hope.
“Coffee.” She replies with a chuckle. “But I’m driving.”
“Wouldn’t have it any other way,” Tim says as she jingles the keys in front of him.
The two share a smile as Marinette walks closer to him and grabs his wrist.
Tim misses this feeling. Here he was sitting at the Cozy Miracles Café, a café that is specifically for him and his mother figure to hang out without any disturbance, drinking coffee, and talking. They spoke about the company and how its success is growing before switching the subject every now and then. Tim had asked her about any latest trips that she had gone on since her last visit. Apparently, she’s been to Brazil, Taiwan, England, and Japan a couple of times. Each visit was for a different reason. However, after a while, their conversation turns into long periods of silence and more looking at one another with worry.
“Timmy, what’s wrong?” This question takes Tim by surprise. He was hoping that she wouldn’t catch his depressed state. In fact, he wasn’t sure he wanted to even answer that question as he knows she’ll go all mother bird on him. Which is ten times worse compared to Dick’s.
“It’s nothing, ‘spresso.” He sighs but he should know better than to say something like that.
“Tim, you’re barely an adult, and yet here you are running a multi-billion company. I may oversee retail and own twenty-five percent of the company, but I can tell when you have a lot on your shoulders. Does this have anything to do with your brothers? Bruce? You being RR?” She wasn’t wrong with either of those options.
Tim stays silent, which did nothing but cause her to pout. Instead of opening her mouth, Marinette gets up and orders another round of coffee. Nothing fancy, just something to sip on. She returns and slides back into her seat with fresh cups of drinks.
“Alright, oiseau de café, I’m here to listen. I promise I won’t tell Bruce, nor Alfred. Psychologist honor.” She says holding her hand up giving him her word.
Tim takes a big breath, pulls the fresh cup of coffee closer to him, and opens his mouth. The words came out like a flood. All his anxieties and fears aired out like they are usually are when speaking to Marinette. By the time he was done, he was close to a breakdown. Marinette had gotten up and wrapped her arms around him.
“Tu es digne, Tim, et personne ne peut te l’enlever.” He is worthy of everything he has been through, and she was right no one could take that away from him. For years he felt unworthy of being a part of the Wayne family like he was only here because Jason had died. He remembers Bruce being reluctant about taking in another Robin. If it wasn’t for Mari, he probably still be trying to prove his existence to Bruce. No matter how many years and discussions have passed, he still feels like an outsider. Marinette never treated him like such.
“Thank you, Mari.” He whispers to her to which she smiles and places a kiss on his forehead.
“Ahem,” The two coffee addicts break apart to be greeted Damian, someone that probably should have been at school. “I am in need of tatie’s assistance.” He states keeping his head held high. Marinette looks back at Tim silently communicating to see if it was okay for her to leave. Tim shrugs and drinks his coffee like he hasn’t just cried his heart out just moments ago.
“Of course, Dami, do you wanna speak in my car or go for a walk.” She asks after sending Tim a bright smile.
“Walk, please.” Marinette nods and gets out of her seat and usher Damian out of the café.
Tim pulls out his phone and sends a text message to the group chat he has with his older brothers. The message was simple, and it was, “Demon just invaded my one-on-one time with ☕” The replies he received were hilarious and worrisome.
It turned out that Damian didn’t need Marinette for anything, he just wanted her away from Drake. This caused Marinette to take Damian out for ice cream before allowing him to return with her to WE for the rest of her workday. Bruce was not happy with Damian, who actually skipped school in favor of spending time with his tatie.

Recap/review 15.18: “Despair”
THEN: The key to Billie's library. Billie wants to become God. Cas made a deal with The Empty. Chuck absorbed Amara. Jack absorbed Adam's rib. Dean pointed a gun at Sam (DEAN POINTED A GUN AT SAM.) Chuck is pissed. Jack is going to explode.
NOW: We begin right where we left off last week, with Jack about to explode with God-killing power. Sam half-carries him into the map table room, Cas tells him to take deep breaths and focus, and Dean gets all panicky and is no help at all. Jack wants the guys to just leave him outside in order to minimize the damage when he goes kaboom. {Sidebar... how far away would he have to be, considering that his explosive power could kill God? Discuss.} Dean yells at Sam to find one of Rowena's spells (and oh, Sam as Rowena's apprentice; there's a plot that was sadly wasted, wasn't it?) but he's interrupted by Billie and her scythe, which she's carrying in a very obvious way. She's furious, and tells them the plan to destroy Chuck was doomed "because of you." Billie can't stop Jack's earth-shattering kaboom, "but there is something I can do." She sends him to the Empty. Empty!Meg cheerfully points out that he doesn't look so hot, but then he looks explosively hot. Ah, there's our earth-shattering kaboom!
Bunker. Billie explains that The Empty was the only option to absorb the impact of Jack the Bomb. And that he's not necessarily dead, because taking out Chuck and Amara was the part that was fatal, not actually being the bomb. Hmm. So Jack's point of no return wasn't actually a point of no return after all. It's kinda retconny, but not really? I've decided it's logical and I approve.
However, if the Empty survives, "it's gonna be pissed." Particularly at Billie. And it's very strong. Billie and Sam remind us that the Empty can only come to Earth if it's summoned. They do not get into the details of what constitutes a summoning, but I'm sure that isn't important. And Billie might be willing to bring Jack back, assuming he survived, but not until Sam returns what he took from her. Chuck's death book.
Sam immediately goes on the attack. He points out that she was planning to betray them from the start, leading to the deaths of all the AU refugees and everyone who was brought back from death, including him and Dean. "Even if I give you the book," he says, "what's to stop you from stabbing us in the back? Killing us all?"
"Nothing," Billie says. She gets up in Sam's face and tells him Jack won't last long. Either give her the book now, or lose him forever. (Can I just point out that Sam is still a little bloody from Dean punching him in the face? After he pointed a gun at him?)
Meanwhile, in the Empty, we discover that Jack is still alive (yay) and that this episode was directed by Richard Speight (yay). He is surrounded by particles that gradually form back into Empty!Meg. And, as predicted, she's pissed.
In the bunker, Sam brings the book to Billie, but ignores her outstretched hand and slams it onto the table instead. It's a pointless little burst of defiance and I love it.
Billie flips to the end to read the new ending of God's book, "since you ruined the last one." She seems to like what she reads. Sam says "Wait, the ends of your books change? So me killing Rowena was presented as unavoidable fate but it really wasn't necessary at all?" No, he actually doesn't. But I do, on his behalf. It's a pointless little burst of defiance. Over in the Empty, Empty!Meg grabs Jack's head and says "you made it loud!" and this is a conversation I've had with my dogs in the wee dark hours of the morning more times than I can count because we just want to SLEEP, GUYS but before she can actually crush his head, Billie zaps him back to the bunker.
Billie tells the guys that Jack is hers because he's still useful. Dean responds by grabbing her scythe and swinging at her. She flings him away, but she's wounded and bleeding light. Oh, and she dropped the book. Sam and Cas ignore Dean crumpled over against the wall - Cas runs to comfort Jack, and Sam runs to pick up the book. Unfortunately, he can't open it. Dean says "hey, thanks for not helping me, guys" and Sam says "oh, I'm sorry, I guess I'm still a little rattled from you punching me in the face after you pointed a gun at me." No, he doesn't. But I do, on his behalf.
Tumblr media
Several people have pointed out how skinny Jared looks in these last few episodes, but this is the first time I've noticed it. It will be interesting to see how he looks in the two that were filmed after their Covid shutdown.
Time jump. Dean is sitting in the library, drinking whiskey. And I've said it a million times but I'll say it again - I could watch an entire episode that was just Dean drinking. And then it gets even better when Sam walks in wearing only a v-neck t-shirt. Single layer Sam alert, guys! How long has it been? Dean slides the bottle over to him and we get a little bonus hand porn and then this happens:
Sam, I'm sorry about... everything.
Dean, you don't have to -
I pulled a gun on you. It's like I just couldn't stop. You know, we were so close to beating him. Like, I could smell Chuck's blood in the water, and I - nothing else mattered. It was everything. And I just couldn't snap out of it.
Well, you did. You've snapped me out of worse.
Hmmm. Am I missing a time when Dean snapped Sam out of something? I mean, I know in Stull, Sam was able to overcome Lucifer because of Dean. But that was Sam snapping himself out of it. And Dean convinced Sam to give up the trials, but that wasn't Sam under anything that he needed to be "snapped out of." I think if you're going to give Dean credit for snapping himself out of it when confronted by his teary eyed, bloodied little brother, you have to give Sam credit for snapping himself out of his own situations.
Tumblr media
It doesn't matter. All that matters is these two sitting quietly in the dark, drinking whiskey together.
Dean's feeling some despair (nice) because Billie wants them dead, Jack is powerless (oh, wait, when did that happen?), and Michael isn't answering his prayers. No one is on their side. "Well, we regroup, somehow," says Sam. They drink a sad little toast to "somehow," and I die a thousand deaths.
Billie's library. Billie stalks angrily through the stacks. A reaper informs her he put up warding to keep the Empty out, and asks if the plan has changed. Yes, it has.
Elsewhere, a woman we don't know is cooking some seriously dry scrambled eggs. She thinks she knows what she's doing, because she's explaining to someone else in the room how to cook eggs so they're "not too runny, not too dry" but seriously. Gordon Ramsay would be appalled. {Sidebar: Gordon's eggs actually look a bit too runny for my taste, and my family would refuse to eat them, but this lady's dry crumbly eggs are still an abomination.} She turns around and we see AU Charlie sitting at the kitchen table. Oh, Charlie has a girlfriend! Sweet. And she must be in love, because she tells this girlfriend that they're the best eggs she's ever had. And also, she's still hunting. Guess she didn't retire to a mountaintop after all. Probably because she couldn't get wifi. Anyway. Her girlfriend's plate crashes to the floor because her girlfriend abruptly disappeared. (Aw, her name was Stevie. Stevie and Charlie. How cute is that?)
Time jump. Charlie's apartment building is called Kim Manor. Nice.
As Sam runs the EMF meter (and there's a nice wordless conversation where Sam lets Dean know he didn't find anything), Charlie talks about how they met (thanks to AU Bobby) and how she experienced nothing when Stevie disappeared. No sulphur smell, no cold, nothing. Dean and Sam have another wordless conversation about what they think happened.
Dean and Sam explain that Billie wants to send all the AU people back to their now non-existent worlds. So Stevie was from AU World too? I guess that explains how AU Bobby knew her. Coincidentally, Sam's phone rings, and it's AU Bobby. They have an extremely short conversation in which Sam learns that another AU hunter simply vanished. And there's no explanation on Sam's end, just "yeah, I understand." So have they already talked to AU Bobby about the Billie situation? Or was Sam and Bobby's conversation literally "hey, a hunter vanished into thin air, how weird is that" and "yeah, I understand" with no further discussion? Anyway. Dean says it's open season on anyone from another world (aw, sorry, Winchesters in Brazil), anyone who came back from the dead, and Sam gets a horrified look on his face and says "Eileen." Oh shit!
Meanwhile, out by the Impala, in broad daylight, Jack tells Cas that he feels strange because the plan failed and his destiny was averted. "I was ready to die, and I wanted to - for Sam, for Dean, for the world - I wanted to make things right. And now I don't know why I'm even here." OF COURSE HE LISTED SAM FIRST. Cas tells him he didn't need absolution from anyone, and that they care about him not because of his usefulness, but just because he's him. Somewhere Dean says "um, wait." Jack is scared because he's powerless and can't protect anyone. Cas is too. So, did Jack lose his powers after the earth shattering kaboom? Or earlier, and I just wasn't paying attention?
Nighttime. Dean speeds down the road as Sam texts Eileen. I don't know where Eileen is, but she must be pretty far away from Kim Manor. Sam told her to get out of her house, go somewhere public, and wait by her car. Now, I cover the guest star credits, so I don't know if Shoshanna is in this episode. But even unspoiled, I'm pretty sure she's not going to be there when they arrive. She starts to type a response, as evidenced by the bubbles, but then stops responding. Yep, just as I thought, no one is standing by her car. Sam finds her phone on the ground, cracked as if it were dropped (like, say, by someone who disappeared while holding it) and LOOK AT HER LOCKSCREEN. LOOK AT IT.
Tumblr media
Some will say this is just the photo that pops up when Sam texts her but they are WRONG. This is her FREAKING LOCK SCREEN, PEOPLE.
Anyway. He sees the unfinished message she was writing, which says she's by her car. Aw, Sam. Dean tries to talk to him and he says "I can't - if I let myself go there, I'll lose my mind, I can't right now."
Aw, SAM!
Sam compartmentalizes his grief and jumps into take-care-of-everyone mode. He says they need to gather everyone together, and they need to find a location central to everyone. Well, I mean, there is one place I know of that is literally the central most point in the United States, maybe you could go there? It's supposed to be secure from all things supernatural, too. Dean says that while Sam is going that, he is going to go end what he started. OH, GOOD. I WAS HOPING THEY WOULD SPLIT UP. "We couldn't make Chuck pay, but Billie? She left her blade. Her I can kill." Hey, wouldn't be the first time. Sam agrees, Cas says he'll go with Dean, and we get a brother hug. Once again, Dean does the two things I love when he hugs Sam: 1. he puts his arms on top, as if he were still the taller brother, and b. he looks away and packs up his emotions before he lets Sam see his face after the hug. "Let's go, Cas," he says. "Let's go reap a reaper." Cas turns and follows without saying anything at all to Sam or Jack, but I'm sure that won't be an issue.
Time jump - it's daytime. Sam's on the phone with Donna, who is standing outside her truck (but didn't she used to have a big black SUV?) at that bridge we've seen so many times. She's sending him to "the old Harmon property," which should be just what he's looking for because it has an abandoned silo. I mean, I wouldn't jump immediately to abandoned silo, but maybe there weren't any abandoned warehouses around. She says it's in Hastings, just south of her, and if you think I didn't confirm that the town of Hastings is in fact about 30 minutes south of Stillwater, Minnesota then you just don't know me at all.
Sam is at a gas station and oh, he's driving Eileen's car! That's not heartbreaking at all. I guess she didn't have her keys in her pocket when she disappeared. (Hah, like Sam Winchester needs keys.) Donna and AU Bobby are rounding up everyone they can think of. She asks what the plan is, and Sam bends down creepily to look at Jack in the passenger seat and says "I'm still working on that." I mean, I know they keep telling us Jack lost his powers, but the way Sam looks at him right here certainly suggests Jack is part of the plan, and maybe not in a good way. (Spoiler alert: seriously, why do I even bother.)
Sam comes around to Jack's window and tells him he needs him to drive, because Sam needs to work on archives and spells and stuff. And is that true, or is this just "I don't expect you to live through this part so I want to let you have some time behind the wheel of Eileen's 1970 Plymouth Valiant?" (At least that's what The Husband thinks it is.)
Bunker. Enter Dean and Cas. Dean declares that if Billie isn't in her library, they'll just trash the place to "smoke her out." It's an interesting choice of words.
Tumblr media
Foreshadowing Dean as the new Death? (Remember, I'm completely unspoiled. I know nothing.)
Silo. Let's stick to this location for now. Sam and Jack pull up and are greeted by Donna. Jack goes inside to set up the warding, and Donna gives Sam a nice hug.
Tumblr media
I want to be there.
She tells him she's sorry about Eileen and gets one of his sad little nods that I love so much. Bobby is already here, and she name-drops Garth and Jody and the girls, saying they're on "high alert." Sam tells her they're not on Billie's list, so they should be safe. And so should Donna. Well, that's good to know. Sam's surprised to see Charlie pull up. She tells him "I just don't want this to happen to anyone else." I don't know what you think you're going to be able to do, Charlie, but okay.
Turns out the silo is actually a Tardis, so I guess maybe it was a good choice. It's huge on the inside, and is also more finished than any silo I've ever been in (which is, okay, one silo, but still.) The interior is already heavily warded. Several people are milling about. {Sidebar: How many hunters were away from the bunker when Michael attacked, and why have none of them returned?} Bobby tells Sam that as soon as the hunters heard he wanted them there, they came running. "Whether you like it or not, you're the big man here." Hey, I wonder if the guy who called him Chief is here. Bobby, being a man after my own heart, is mostly concerned about the bathroom situation. Sam hopes they won't be there long enough for it to be an issue. He has a spell from Rowena (!) that should boost the strength of the wards, but that's all he has. Bobby doesn't look very reassured, and glances in a foreshadowy way at a family with kids. Sam looks around at all of these people he feels responsible for and takes a deep breath and oh, my heart.
Donna and Jack are painting more wards. Jack bends down to look at a plant, and Donna comes up to him and says "I'm no expert on this hoodoo stuff, but best we patch that up, yeah?" and I don't know what the hell she's talking about. What is this plant disturbing? Jack reaches out to touch the plant and it withers away as his hand gets close. Friends, I'm pretty sure this is a bad sign. Jack is too. He stares at his hand, and if he'd been watching a few seasons ago, he would have noticed that plants did the same thing when Amara touched them. Coincidence???
Later we see everyone watch as Sam recites the spell. (Yes, it's hot. Do you even have to ask?) The sigils glow red briefly and then fade, and the music turns ominous and I think this means his boost failed. But I guess not, because Sam says now they wait. But they don't have to wait long, because suddenly one of the children dissolves into smoke. One by one, all of the AU people dissolve like they've been snapped by Thanos. Charlie runs up to Sam and says "Sam, what do we do" just like Maggie did, and just like Maggie she's taken out immediately. Sam watches in horror as AU Bobby smokes out. He turns to Donna, who says "Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good," and then Donna is gone! Crap! Jack and Sam are left staring at the empty-except-for-them silo.
Tumblr media
One more serving of despair, coming right up.
On to the other side.
Dean enters Billie's library, brandishing the scythe. Cas follows, bearing only a hangdog expression. Dean motions for him to go one direction and Dean goes the other, soon finding Billie. He thinks he's sneaking up behind her, but she says "So, I guess this is the part where I say hello boys. Hello, boys." Oh, I was wrong; Cas has his angel blade. Billie snarks about Dean's bad aim, and he says he wasn't trying to kill her then (which seems like a lie), but he is now, because of what she's doing to his people. Billie slams him against the wall again. She chokes Cas Darth Vader-style from a distance, and then the old fashioned way. "Remember when you stabbed me in the back?" she says. "Because I do." Oh, that's funny, because earlier Sam said she was going to stab them in the back. She should have said "like you stabbed me?"
Dean comes to the rescue by poking her with the blunt end of the scythe rather than the pointy end, so maybe she was right about his bad aim. Then he gets the blade against her throat (but still not the sharp end, just the back) and demands that she stop killing his friends. She says she didn't - it was Chuck. And Dean's wasting time.
Tumblr media
I'm considering it time well spent, because it looks so nice.
Billie tells Dean the injury he gave her earlier is something she can't recover from - she's going to die. She pulls away her coat to show him a nasty festering wound, and I wonder why something so physical would kill her, but. Eh. She tells him she doesn't care about his friends or family. "But seeing you here has reminded me of something. There is one thing I'd like. One wish before I go. I'd like to see you dead." She grabs her scythe back, flings the boys around, and slowly stalks toward them. Dean and Cas rush through the door back into the bunker.
Dean is panicky again, trying to figure out what to do next. He's suddenly struck down by chest pain, and I expect to see someone sticking a knife (or a scythe) in his back, but it's actually Billie doing it Darth Vader-style again. Cas drags him away as Billie monologues. "It's you, Dean; it's always been you. Death-defying. Rule-breaking. You are everything I lived to set right. To put down. To tame. You are human disorder incarnate." Yeah, we know, Dean's awesome. We get this speech every season.
Cas and Dean end up in the dungeon storeroom. Cas gets Dean's knife out of his pocket and cuts his own hand to paint a sigil on the door. It looks like an angel banishing sigil, but apparently it block's Billie's power. Not permanently, though, because it fades as she pounds on the door. Cas says that since the wound is killing her, they just have to wait her out.
Yeah, and if we can't?
Then we fight.
We'll lose. I just led us into another trap. All because I couldn't hurt Chuck. Because I was angry, and because I just needed something to kill, and because that's all I know how to do.
Dean.
It was Chuck all along. We never should have left Sam and Jack. We should be there with them now.
Yes you should, Dean, you really really should. Dean is practically drowning in despair, which, you know. Is a good thing. 10/10 would recommend. "She's gonna get through that door," he tells Cas. "And she's gonna kill you, and then she's gonna kill me. I'm sorry."
"Wait, there is one thing she's afraid of," Cas says. "There's one thing strong enough to stop her." He tells Dean about the deal he made to save Jack in the Empty.
Friends, I'm going to do you a favor. If you haven't seen the episode, and aren't planning to watch the episode, I want you to read this paragraph and then skip down until you see the pretty picture of Dean. And start reading after that picture. Trust me. So, Cas summons the Empty just as Billie breaks down the door. The Empty kills Billie, but she also takes Cas. Dean is saved but Cas is gone.
{Sigh. Can I skip this part? No, I owe it to you.}
Cas explains that the Empty was going to come snatch him away as soon as he experienced a moment of true happiness. But happiness isn't having, happiness is knowing. And Dean is wonderful and "Everything you have ever done, the good and the bad, you have done for love." You just threatened to shoot your little brother for love, for example. Cas is teary eyed and Dean looks confused as hell and I pause the TV and turn to The Husband and we have this conversation:
I don't think I can watch this.
Why, because it's so sappy?
No, because I think they're going to kiss.
What? Why would they kiss? Is there something I'm missing?
Because part of the fandom WANTS them to kiss, and there's this group of fans that are super obnoxious about it, and they harass the actors and the writers and I think now the show thinks EVERYBODY wants them to kiss. Even though the guy who plays Dean* says it would never happen. Because I know he wasn't happy about the way the show ended, and I'm afraid this is why he wasn't happy.
...
I don't think they're gonna kiss.
If they do, I'm done.
*The Husband is not on a first name basis with Jensen.
So, let me point out that The Husband, who watches this show the way a normal human being watches a show (i.e., doesn't interact with the fandom at all), had absolutely NO expectation that they would kiss. Anyway, with some trepidation, I push play again. And Cas is still going. Dean is the most caring, selfless, loving human being on earth (OH GOD MAKE IT STOP) and knowing him has changed Cas.
Why does this sound like a goodbye?
Because it is. I love you.
Don't do this, Cas.
We see a black blob materialize behind Dean, because even though the Empty can only come to Earth if it's summoned, there it is. And I could argue about whether Cas being happy actually summoned the damn thing but I've already lost the will to live, so instead I'm going to describe to you how I watched in horror, with my finger hovering over the pause button, as Cas reached out to Dean and put his hand on his shoulder. But he just pushed him out of the way. Thank you baby Jesus. Billie breaks the door down as the Empty slurps into the dungeon. It surrounds Cas and Billie and sucks them into its depths. Dean is left alone. Oh, and he has a bloody palm print on his jacket from Cas grabbing his shoulder. I guess someone did watch a little bit of older seasons after all. Hard to tell sometimes.
Tumblr media
I mean, at least he looked good, right?
Back at the silo. I've decided it must be mostly underground and isn't a grain silo like I thought. So what kind of silo do Yankees have that's mostly underground? Anyway. Jack and Sam emerge, having failed catastrophically at their mission. Sam is trying to call Dean, who isn't answering. He looks mildly panicky. "Sam?" Jack says, a little shaky. "Was it just them?"
OH CRAP. I didn't even think of that possibility.
"I don't know," Sam says, also shaky. And as we see an empty gas station and playground, it really looks like it wasn't just them at all. Sam and Jack look at each other, alone and terrified. And back in the bunker's dungeon, Dean's phone rings. It's Sam. He doesn't answer.

Tumblr media
Despair!
So. You know how sometimes something really good will happen in an episode? And I'll say, no matter how bad this episode is, this 90 seconds makes it worth it? Well, sometimes the opposite happens. Sometimes you get a two or three minute scene - a horribly written, badly acted scene - and it's so awful that it ruins an episode. A season. A show. I'm angry that the showrunners pandered to a small, noisy minority of fans to throw something into the show that most fans didn't want and didn't help the story at all. I'm annoyed that, once again, Dean is put up on an embarrassingly overwrought pedestal. I'm kind of amused that they did this in the worst way possible. Cas's love was unrequited (unless they screw that up in the next episode), Misha's acting caused so much secondhand embarrassment that I had a hard time watching again, and from what I see on Tumblr, half of the Destihellers are furious because "Dean is a homophobe." Which is bullshit. Not returning someone's romantic affection isn't homophobia. It's consent. (I know... on this show? Ha ha.)
{Sidebar: If "Destiel" means the characters have mutual feelings for each other, doesn't this mean Destiel is not, in fact, canon? I mean, it was already so badly written that one could argue Cas wasn't proclaiming romantic love, but just a life-changing experience thanks to one human. Discuss.}
But I need to stop thinking about it. I can't - if I let myself go there, I'll lose my mind, I can't right now.
And this wasn't even the Buckleming episode, friends. There is probably a Buckleming episode left.
I got so distracted by this nonsense that I almost forgot to talk about the Jack situation. So here's how I feel about that. I love Jack as a character. I love him as someone the Winchesters could lose (Basically, someone to stuff in the fridge? Why not.) But I don't want him to be one of them. I don't want Jack's story to be treated as if it were as important as the Winchester's story. Just like I didn't want Cas to have his own plots. I want it always, always to come down to Sam and Dean.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll have more to say. But for right now, all I'm saying is this: I pledge to stick with this show, to stick with fanworks, no matter how badly they fuck up the landing. But guys, you don't have to try so hard to fuck it up.
Two to go. As always, help me stay unspoiled, including casting info and episode titles.

Home (Winchesters x Reader - Part 3)
Tumblr media
Summary: What happens when the Winchesters and the reader return to the readers home, after being gone for a very long time, for a case. A case that sounds very familiar to the reader. What happens when the brothers find out why she hasn’t been back in so long?
Warnings: violence, cussing, magic, angst
I sighed, standing in the center of the compound the Mikaelson family lived in for years. Memories flooding back to me of not so pleasant times.
“Y/N,” Sam said softly, “Is everything ok?”
“Coming back here was a bad idea.” I sighed. I slowly walked up the steps, walking to the room that was once mine. The two Winchester men following, no doubt observing the historic building. I pushed open the door to what had been my room and memories once again flooded my head. I threw my bag on a new chair in the room and fell back against the bed.
“Y/N,” It was Dean’s turn to speak.
“I assume you want some questions now?” I asked, “Because we’re on a time crunch you can each have two questions.”
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Dean asked, making me instantly sit up and raise an eyebrow at him.
“Hi, Dean Winchester, hunter of all things supernatural. While you’re here killing this group of homicidal witches with witch killing bullets, I should let you know, I’m nearly 1000 years old. But wait, I’m a good witch. I also have brothers and sisters who are even older than me. But wait! They’re vampires! The original vampires who can only be killed by a white oak stake, which they sought out to destroy every last white oak tree.” I scoffed and fell back against the bed, “I’ll let you have a redo Dean.”
“You said your family treated you like a slave.” Sam sat on the bed beside you. “What do you mean by that?”
“In the years I spent with my family, not a single one of them ever taught me anything in life. I taught myself EVERYTHING I know how to do. From reading, to writing, to surviving. After I was born our mother disappeared. I was a surprise to the family too. I just wasn’t wanted. I was another mouth to feed. Finn, he was my favorite. He was the brother that got me to raised me until I was 10. Then Klaus daggered him. Finn was the one that made sure I was treated fairly and Klaus didn’t like that. With Finn out of the picture they could use me how they saw fit. For a while I lived a life similar to Alex’s life. I was bait. When the fish weren’t biting, so to speak, I became food. When we met Lucien my brothers and Rebekah pretended to be nobility. I was Rebekah’s handmaiden. I cleaned her shit. Literally. I disposed of their kills. Marcel came into the picture when Klaus found him being whipped by this slave owner who also ended up being his father. Klaus took Marcel in. Marcel was taught how to read, how to write, how to play the piano. How to defend himself.” I took a deep breath, “He took my place in the family. Klaus and Elijah thought of Marcel as a son and I was still a piece of trash. They dressed him in the finest clothes. I wore potato sacks. I think I got my first pair of shoes when I finally left.”
“How did you leave? Why didn’t you leave sooner?” Dean asked.
“I couldn’t leave. Vampires sired from the originals, not from the Alpha vampire, have a power of compulsion. They can make you do anything they want. No matter how hard I wanted to leave, I physically couldn’t. There’s a plant called vervain. And of course wolfsbane. Vervain is to vampires as wolfsbane is to werewolves. I was able to get some on a trip for groceries one evening. My family was entertaining some guests as a going away party for Marcel, who was leaving for the war. I poisoned them with the vervain. Klaus is a hybrid so he got a dose of wolfsbane and vervain. Marcel had already left and while they were in agony but not dying, I daggered them. As I said earlier, the last thing Klaus said to me was if I ever stepped foot back in New Orleans, he’d kill me. I left that second and never looked back. I’m sure when Marcel returned he was the one that pulled the daggers out.”
“Where did you live between then and when we met you?” Sam asked.
“I lived in Haiti for the longest time, learning Haitian witchcraft. Scotland for a small stint. Uh, Fiji, Brazil, and some time with the Navajo. Just learning several different types of witchcraft everywhere I went.”
“You’re very powerful too.” I sat up, seeing Freya standing at the door. “I could sense your power before I even saw you earlier.”
“It comes naturally to me. It always has. But because of who I grew up with, I was forced not to use my powers.” I had actually been whipped once for using my powers accidentally. I didn’t even have to raise my hands or recite a spell and things in the room began to float.
“You could be regient.” Freya said simply. Yeah I knew I could be but I didn’t want to be.
“That would mean staying in New Orleans. I’m leaving in two days. No matter if we have solved the Lucien issue or not.”
“But your family,”
“My family lives in a bunker in Lebanon, Kansas. My family consists of these two men, an angel, a nephilim, a sheriff, and three hormonal teenage girls.” I snapped, “I don’t even know you. You aren’t anything but a story Finn would tell me.”
Sam, Dean, and I went down to the courtyard. Elijah and Klaus were standing around a table with a tall brown haired woman, “Ah, there you are. We were just discussing how we need to deal with Lucien.” Klaus acknowledged us as we came down the stairs.
“Who is this?” I asked, ignored him.
“Who are you?” The woman snapped back, moving in front of me. I focused on her mind, making her hold her head and dropping to her knees.
“Y/N,” Elijah warned and I let my hold on the woman’s mind go. Her eyes turned yellow and black veins appeared under her eyes, “Haley, this is our younger sister, Y/N. Y/N, this is Haley, the mother of your niece.”
“You really had sex with that?” I pointed to Klaus, looking like she was insane.
“Yeah, not one of my best moments. But he did give me a beautiful baby girl.” She crossed her arms over her chest, “Now, what are we going to do about Lucien?”
“Do we know where he’s staying?” I asked, looking at my brothers who both nodded, “I’ll just knock on his door. I’m not allowed in the city. He’s probably heard of that so he won’t be expecting me. Easy.” I shrugged.
“We’re not gonna let you go alone.” Dean grunted.
“Nor would I leave you here with my brothers.” I rolled my eyes, “No offense.” I gave them a glance.
“Completely understandable.” Elijah said, in his usual bored tone.
“Why do you always sound so bored?” Dean’s impulsive nature voiced my thoughts.

Moon neglected and beat his own children. How did it affect them?
Tumblr media
Hyo Jin Moon: “I know my Father. He made me, so we are just like each other. We can kill one another.”
At Pledge Service, November 1994 at Belvedere (video link below)
Shamanism in the Unification Church While church members generally consider themselves to be Christian, the church’s rituals and practices share much with Korean shamanism. Practices such as ancestor veneration / liberation from evil spirits, spiritual channeling, sacrifices, songs, drumming, rhythmic movements and beatings are all common in Korean shamanism and culture.
The Master Speaks These questions and answers have been transcribed from tapes made during our Leader’s sessions with members and guests at Centers throughout the United States during his trip in March and April 1965.
Question: Should we keep our physical children with us?
Sun Myung Moon: Yes, of course. You cannot leave them on the street. You must protect them. If they do not obey you, you can even strike them. In the satanic world, if you beat children it is from your temper and is sin. But now you know the absolute good, and if they do not obey you can bring them by force. It will be good for them after all. In our group, some people have neglected their children and devoted themselves completely to witnessing. This has happened because, if you are not restored, your children will perish automatically. If you don’t find three spiritual children, how can your physical children benefit? In that sense, your problem is more urgent. For this reason, some parents have neglected their children. After they are blessed they ... and take them back.
Sun Myung Moon: “From today on, if you meet anybody around you who criticizes or judges True Family because of what is happening right now, you can hit them in the mouth. If anyone writes a wrong letter to True Family you can break their arm.”  February 24, 1996, Sao Paolo, Brazil
Sun Myung Moon: “Your mission is only the territory of your relatives. How much easier it is for you compared to True Father’s course. You have absolutely no excuse. Those who have the confidence to fulfill your mission of accomplishing 3.6 [million] couples Blessing this year, show your hands. (Applause) Father wants Reverend Kwak to keep a baseball bat in his hand all the time and if he sees anyone neglecting their mission in this regard then he can freely use it. Particularly those who are sleeping and hiding, Reverend Kwak’s baseball bat will fall upon you at any time.”  February 13, 1997, New Yorker Hotel, New York
Hyun Jin Preston Moon interviewed in September 2010
Question: Do you have any episodes you remember while fishing with your father? Preston: “When I was a teenager, I remember fishing with my father one day on the cold Alaskan sea. I was in an accident. While my father was focused on fishing with other people at the stern of a small boat, I was fishing at the front of the boat and fell into the sea. The water temperature of the Alaskan sea is so cold that most people die from a heart attack after about 15 minutes in the water. But nobody noticed that I had fallen overboard! I tied the thick fishing line used for catching King Salmons around my arm and desperately moved toward the boat, barely surviving. At that time, my father continued fishing without batting an eye. I was shivering with cold but he kept me with him for the rest of the fishing trip and then we returned back to the harbor.”
Question: He was very strict in how he raised you. Preston: “(Laughter) Such training from my father made me who I am today. My father wanted his children to become better than him and wanted them to grow through challenges.”Trained during his youth on the rough sea, today when Hyun Jin Moon goes to the Alaska mountains to hunt, he will stay there for one or two weeks. Sometimes the guide becomes exhausted and goes back early. In the deep mountains, after hitting the target, he skins the animal himself, carves the meat and puts it all into his backpack. Then with a heavy load, he gladly completes the tough journey back that could cover several miles.”
Hyung Jin Sean Moon: “You know Father, he would slap me. Not only slap, he would smack me every day. Punch me. You know, he would smack these guys all the time. You know, and these guys took it every day… These guys have to be like ironman, they have to be superhuman, iron butt training. So don’t criticize them so quickly and easily. That’s not a sign of maturity… I saw them get smacked so many times… We got the most beatings.”  September 23, 2012, New York
In Jin Tatiana Moon (extract from Nansook Hong’s book, In The Shadow Of The Moons: My Life In The Reverend Sun Myung Moon’s Family, page 101) “In Jin disapproved of my friendship with her sister [Un Jin] but she could be nice to me herself when it suited her purpose. She came to me once, asking to borrow some clothes so she could sneak out that night. Her own room was next to her parents’ suite in the mansion and she did not want to risk running into Father. Why not? I asked. She told me that recently she had come into her room on tiptoe about 4:00 A.M. It was still dark. She thought she was in the clear, when she saw Father’s shadow in a chair across the room.
As Sun Myung Moon struck her over and over again, his daughter told me, he insisted he was hitting her out of love. It was not her first beating at Father’s hands. She said she wished she had the courage to go to the police and have Sun Myung Moon arrested for child abuse. I lent her my best blue jeans and a white angora sweater and tried to hide how shocked I was by her story.
As much as anything about my new life in the True Family, the antipathy between the Moon children and their parents stunned me. Early on, I was disabused of the idea that this was a warm and loving family.”
Tumblr media
In Jin Tatiana Moon spoke in 2014: 5:15 “So …as angry as my father was for the first ten years that I lived up in Boston. He would scream at me for 3 or 4 hours every time I came back home to wish him happy birthday, or to wish him happy God’s Day. You know, Father was extremely angry.  In a way I am hoping that my marriage, and the dissolution of my marriage thereafter, can be a good example of what not to do to our kids, and what not to do to the future blessed couples that aren’t …
“Forcing people into marriage is not right. Political marriages is not right, you know. What I’ve been pushed to do which is really simply nothing other than institutional rape is not right. With two people standing outside your door because they’re afraid you’re going to run away. That is not right. And not wanting to deal with the consequences of your actions of forcing two people into marriage is not right. And not having support and not being nurturing while your child is trying to deal with what you crammed down their throat is not right either…
7:00 “Shocking as it was for my mother to hear my story, the last 30 years of marriage which I have never spoken to her about. You know, she had to learn too. A lot of people think that, well In Jin was just acting on her own behalf and she is just doing whatever she wants. No, I am not doing whatever I want…”  LINK
In the early 1980’s there was a gym at East Garden where a martial arts expert came to teach karate to the older sons. One day Hak Ja Han came there when Heung Jin, Kook Jin and Hyun Jin were training. She said “Let two of them fight until they are bloody.” The martial arts teacher was not happy about this and resigned shortly afterwards.
Nansook Hong and Un Jin Moon were both beaten by their husbands: VIDEO of them being interviewed on ‘60 Minutes’ Mike Wallace: “Whenever she told Rev. and Mrs Moon about the beatings, Nansook says, they blamed her.” Nansook Hong: “I was not ideal wife for Hyo Jin that is why he would behave in a certain way towards me, and I was not a good member of their family… so also it was my fate…” MW: “Who told you that? Mrs Moon or …” NSH: “Both, both of them, yes. And it was my fate that I have to endure these things.” Un Jin Moon: “Sounds familiar” MW: “Nansook is getting support from a surprising source, one of Rev. Moon’s daughters, Un Jin Moon. She told me her parents blamed her too when she was abused by her husband [Jin-hun Park, son of ‘Tiger’ Park]. MW: Did he beat you?” UJM: “Yes” MW: “And you would tell your folks?” UJM: “Yes” MW: “And they would say…” UJM: “I deserved it” MW: “Un Jin Moon is estranged from her parents, but she has never criticized them in public before. …” [Apparently Jin-hun Park used to drink.]
Nansook Hong: “Sun Myung Moon seemed to take pleasure in the reports that filtered back to East Garden of the beatings being administered by the Black Heung Jin. He would laugh raucously if someone out of favor had been dealt an especially hard blow.” (pages 150-153)
MLP: “Having grown up around them, I can confirm that when the Moons wanted something, it was there. Thus, they learned to take and only to take. They learned to brow beat, insult, demean and ultimately to physically intimidate those around them. But they never learned to give and never learned basic empathy for those that provided them all their untold wealth.”
Sam Park: “My mother’s involvement with Rev. Moon started in 1953 when, at the age of 17 years old, he forced himself upon her and took her virginity. At the time [pause] my father said that because my mother was destined to be his eternal bride or the “True Mother” in UC parlance, he had to have sexual relations with her to reverse what the … Forgive me because I am going to bring up UC / Moonie terms. Some of you might know it if you follow the church, but a lot of you won’t – just indulge me because there are a lot of Unificationists out there who may see this and it will probably help them. My father said to my mother that – he basically raped her – that he had to have sexual relations with her to reverse what the Archangel Lucifer did to the young Eve. Rev. Moon taught that the biblical Eve was seduced by the Archangel Lucifer when she was 17 years old which was the real reason for the Fall of Man as described in the Bible. That is how Moonies think about the Fall of Man.” LINK
It has been rumored that Won-pil Kim was beaten up by Sun Myung Moon and hospitalized… Moon was rumored to have used a baseball bat at leader’s meetings at East Garden and in Korea. There are rumors of Moon violence at meetings in Alaska. There are many witnesses, but they are keeping quiet. Perhaps that explains some of Moon’s power over his minions.
Young-oon Kim: Washington, D.C.  After dinner Miss Kim began to speak: “Our Leader might be coming… If our preparation is not adequate it will take many years to clear from his mind our laxity. Our preparation must be thorough. Some of us remember his last visit when some were not completely prepared. We remember his anger at that time. If he comes and sees lack of preparation this time, his anger will be much greater and much longer-lasting.” New Age Frontiers  June 1967    pages 14 and 15    LINK
Nansook Hong: In 1992 she went on a fundraising trip to Japan with the True Mother. Before the return journey, she says: “I was given $20,000 in two packs of crisp new bills. I hid them beneath the tray in my make-up case. I knew that smuggling was illegal, but I believed that the followers of Sun Myung Moon answered to higher laws.” Much of the Moon money was given to Hyo Jin to fuel his cocaine and alcohol binges.  pages 171-175
Hyo Jin, she says, would frequently beat her. “I once tried to flush his cocaine down the toilet. He beat me so severely I thought he would kill the baby in my womb. He made me sweep up the spilled white powder from the bathroom floor even as he continued to beat me. Later Hyo Jin would offer a religious justification for beating half-senseless a woman seven months pregnant. He was teaching me to be humble in the presence of the son of the Messiah.” Her children, she says, were her only reason to live. “My main goal was to raise them decently.” Her children would ask her: “Why do we have a bad dad?”” pages 180, 184 and elsewhere
Here is another description of Hyo Jin Moon: “Most of what I’ve been told comes from people who were around him earlier, like Floyd Christofferson at the Manhattan Center studios, Leon Harris who used to watch his back when he went into the bad parts of town to buy cocaine, and others. He injured a friend of mine with a karate kick to the ribs in the New Yorker in the late 80s, he beat up another student at UTS, he smacked Ben Lorentzen around when he first went to work with him in the studio, he beat up second gens who I could name because I know their parents, he held a loaded handgun to Peter Kim’s head at East Garden and threatened to pull the trigger, he shot up a passing freight train with an automatic weapon, and he threatened to kill numerous other people including Nansook (and her unborn child)…
At a meeting in Kodiak in 1986 Hyo Jin assaulted Joachim Becker who was in his 40s. Hyo Jin got up from his seat, flung the older church brother on to the ground and hit him in the ribs. You could literally hear his ribs crack. The bewildered brother lay on the ground wheezing and clutching the side of his rib cage. Needless to say the meeting ended abruptly. Later Joachim went to the hospital and had a wrap around beige bandage wrapped around his chest to mend a few of his fractured ribs.
Those are just some examples of his out-of-control behaviour. I have good friends who worked on the ground staff at Belvedere and East Garden who used to hide when he was in the vicinity, in case he was coked up and in a bad mood. Security staff were on duty to keep an eye on Nansook when he went into one of his periodic rages. It was True Father himself who said that Satan walked in and out of Hyo Jin freely. Yet there was no direct intervention to get him into rehab when all the indicators were there, and he wasn’t taken out of position until the damage was done. Nor did he get sent to Cheongpyeong to have his evil spirits removed like ordinary mortals.
These were all eye-witness reports from people who were around him daily. And this pattern of misbehaviour persisted from his teens, when he was expelled from Hackley High for shooting at other students with a BB gun, until Nansook called time on their marriage because she realised she might end up dead, or one of their kids might die in an accident while handling one of the sixty or more guns that he kept unsecured about the old house at East Garden, which included a cache under the bed in the master bedroom, some loaded and some of those with the safety off.” LINK
Tumblr media
Hak Ja Han wants followers to venerate Hyo Jin Moon who had many serious and well-known problems. Here his photo is seen on the altar in the main prayer hall at Cheongpyeong. Hak Ja Han also holds an annual music festival in honor of Hyo Jin.
It was 1989. The BCs used to gather every Sunday in Tarrytown. We loved being together. If Hyo Jin hyungnim was around we would follow him around and do whatever he wanted to do. He had a volatile temper and was often abusive but we were told that it was because we didn’t understand his and God’s heart. He was teaching us God’s heart. One day he had us lined up and he started raving and ranting waving his gun. Suddenly he stopped. We had our heads bowed but I looked up. He had his gun pointed at Jin Seung Eu’s head and pulled the trigger. The bullet went into the wall behind Jin Seung Eu, 2 inches from his head.  LINK
Hyo Jin was allowed to get away with his abusive behavior because there was no oversight and nobody but Reverend Moon himself had the authority to stop him. This was the type of dysfunctional and nepotistic system that Moon himself had set up.  LINK
VIDEO  Sunday November 1994 at 5am at Belvedere 0:05  Let’s welcome Hyo Jin Hyo Jin, the oldest son, is taking the place of his father this Sunday 0:40  Do you respect me? Fuck you!!! You don’t know me. … Don’t stop because I will kill you. I … Father and Mother and they know that …. miserable and I’m miserable. 1:44  “I know my Father. He made me, so we are just like each other. We can kill one another.” 3:26 “I don’t like this place, you know. I am standing here being judged by you motherfuckers. What the fuck do you judge me by?”
Hyo Jin Moon is rumored to have held a loaded handgun to Peter Kim’s head at East Garden and threatened to pull the trigger. Why?
Donna Orme Collins: “As I grew older, I witnessed frightening pre-marriage ceremonies in which the bride and groom-to-be beat each other with bats to rid themselves of evil. I had also learned that the lives of Moon’s followers were utterly controlled by him – and that he was the parent I was supposed to rely on.” LINK
Sun Myung Moon bullied Second Gen teenagers in New York
Testimony of a participant at Moon’s July 18, 2011 event in Nigeria: “I saw something I shouldn’t have seen during Hoondokhoe on the 18th July. Maybe Father sensed that the spiritual standard was not good enough, or for whatever reason it may have been, True Father slapped Hyung Jin Nim in his face in front of all the members. And after that he slapped Yeon Ah Nim, Hyung Jin Nim’s wife, in the face too. A very sudden unexpected situation. After that Father continued talking for 2 hours, but the African members were shocked to the core by what they had just witnessed. Some thought that Hyung Jin Nim’s couple paid indemnity for the failure of the members to properly attend True Parents.”
Mariah Blake: “Speaking on the Senate floor in July 1993, Sen. Trent Lott (R-Miss.) urged fellow lawmakers to celebrate True Parents Day—a holiday honoring the Moons—in the name of family values. “It is in the interest of society and government to adopt policies strengthening and sustaining fathers and mothers,” he said. The following year, Congress passed a bill designating Parents Day a national holiday.
While lawmakers were lauding Moon’s family values message, his own family was unraveling. In 1998, his ex-daughter-in-law, Nansook Hong, published a devastating expose of Moon family life, which claimed that her husband, Steve, blew huge sums of church money on cocaine and beat her during her pregnancy. Hong and Moon’s estranged daughter, Un Jin, went on 60 Minutes, where they presented a litany of allegations about drugs, sex, and corruption inside Moon’s church. They also disclosed that Moon had an illegitimate son named ‘Sammy.’”  from Mother Jones (November 2013)  LINK
Extra-Sacramental Rituals of the Family Federation for World Peace After the Blessing ceremony, for the First Generation there is an “Indemnity Stick ceremony” where the couples all have to beat their spouse’s buttocks as hard as they can with a baseball bat or a heavy stick. The purpose of this is to pay a price for the sin of Adam and Eve by hitting the sexual area. It is also meant as the one time a couple is allowed to physically assault one another, after which all disputes should be settled verbally. This ceremony is public, and is not a private experience. Members have been hospitalized with spinal injuries because of this ceremony. LINK

The Incident at the New Yorker Hotel: Hyun Jin stopped talking – there was a familiar uncomfortable silence…
Hyun Jin Moon’s assault on Tim Folzenlogen
Kook Jin Moon – an elder American second generation: “Later on, there was the fight club. It was [Kook Jin] Justin’s idea and he held sessions at his parents’ compound in Seoul. “There were five or six of us, and we’d fight without gloves until we were bloody,” Porter says. Justin officiated and fought, but he didn’t always play by the rules. As one fight was starting, he unleashed a head kick. “This guy Isaac was just waiting for the fight to begin, and Justin leaped up and did this crazy swinging kick,” Porter remembers. “It landed in the guy’s face, and it looked like the guy was airborne forever, like he was levitating, until he finally dropped to the floor. It was cool. But it wasn’t an emotional thing with [Justin]. He was very calculated about his violence. He had to be the best.” Portfolio magazine LINK
Hyung Jin Moon (August 7, 2016) 1:20:50 [Probably late 2012 or early 2013] “Literally when she screamed at us, and we have shared it now, when she screamed, when we were having that conversation in the TV room of the Palace, in the inner chambers of the Palace, and when Kook Jin said: “You have to be like the Queen Mother and honor the decision of True Father.” She blew up and said: “I have absolute power” with her eyes bugging out and her face red. Both of us looked like … and we looked at each other [thinking] “Are you seeing this?, Are you seeing this?”” “Han Mother did an occult ritual … She has become a pagan.”
Sun Myung Moon (May 17, 1973, USA)
“Good morning! Sit down! I am going to speak about the significance of a training session like this….
In your own way, you can organize your lecture. In order for you to be a dynamic lecturer, you must know the knack of holding and possessing the listeners’ hearts. If there appears a crack in the man’s personality, you wedge in a chisel, and split the person apart. For the first few lectures, you will just memorize. But after that, you will study the character of your audience, and adapt your lecture. If he is a scientist, you will approach him differently than a commercial man, artist, etc. The audience as a whole will have a nature, and you must be flexible.”   LINK

Baneberries: Favorite song?I can’t give you an all time favorite so here’s a random favorite I currently like listening to: Sedated by Hozier
Basket of Gold: Describe your family. My family is not very big and actually hasn’t been a family for a very long time. Namely it’s my dad, my sister, my grandparents, my dads wife, her son, our dog and I. I have never experienced family in my youth so sometimes when I’m with them it’s all very odd. And sometimes it’s stressful. But it’s the first time I actually miss family when I’m alone at home, far away. I speak about my father and my grandparents further below but my sister is very sweet and I’m pretty protective of her, she and I get along a lot better now than before which is a common trait as ull see later.
We often take care of things, and are probably the most planning of the family. My dad’s wife is very good to talk to, having a very different perspective from my own and will always offer up advice. Her son is currently in pirperty and more interested in playing fortnite than anything which makes for some explosiveness at home. Our dog is cute and perfect that’s it.
Begonia: Favorite color?I like blue tones, but a dark, rusy kind of red is cool too
Bellflower: Favorite animal?Dogs Dogs Dogs. By far my favorite animal, they fill my heart with joy. Next up, Giraffes, funny big boys
Bergenia: Are you a morning or night person?Morning I think, I definitely work best early.
Bloodroots: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?I actually never really had a dream job as a child. Not that I remember at least.
Bluemink: What are your thoughts on children? While I generally ain’t a big fan, like I’m someone very based on conversations so obviously that’s hard w kids. I am growing more to them. I’m far from wanting one but I think children are special in their.. Like innocence. They are beyond all the bitterness and hatred that we adults have. If only parents would be better lmao
Blazing Stars: What are you afraid of? Is there a reason why?I’m afraid of many things. Change for example. And failure. I think that might be because being perfect was important when I grew up and whatever I did it was never enough to my mother especially. Perhaps that has become so deep rooted that I tell myself I can not fail, which makes me very nervous and makes me worry too much.
Borage: Give a random fact about your childhood.I spend lots of time on building sites and in hardware stores because my grandparents have houses and my parents often would work there too.
Buttercup: Relationship Status?Single
Candytufts: When do you feel most loved?God I don’t know, I think it’s probably when I’m with someone I care about and it’s easy and light and fun and I feel comfortable and they tell me that they like being around me, or that I made them happy with something.
Canna: Do you have any tattoos?Nope, wanted to have some but money and shit
Canterbury Bells: Do you have any piercings?  I have my ears pierced, but it’s the earlobes so the most basic thing
California Poppy: Height?  I insist on 1,70 at least, I will not accept being under that.
Cardinal Flower: Do you believe in ghosts? In a way, yeah
Carnation: What are you currently wearing? My new boots, black pants, winter coat, black jacket, a blue button up and a lord of the rings shirt underneath. Obviously underwear
Catnip: Have you ever slept with a nightlight? When I was a child for sure
Chives: Who was the last person you hugged?A person from school, who’s also in fashion design, but a few years above me that I got to know bc of cosplay.
Chrysanthemum: Who’s the last person you kissed? My Ex
Cock’s Comb: Favorite font?God idk, I like oldish looking ones, elegant ‘n stuff
Columbine: Are you tired?Nah, actually not rn
Common Boneset: What are you looking forward to?Sam visiting me in March
Coneflower: Dream job?I’m not sure, definitely something w sewing but idk if I wanna go theater or my own things
Crane’s-Bill: Introvert or extrovert?Introvert
Crocus: Have you ever been in love?Yeh
Crown Imperial: What’s the farthest you would go for someone you care about?Very very far
I’d say I’m pretty damn loyal and also give myself up easily even without noticing. If someone has my love and my loyalty they have my everything basically. Would I commit a terrible crime? I don’t know. Would I be real mean to someone or punch them? Yeah, if it’s reasonable w the situation I would (would it be affective? Not sure)
Give myself up? If we’re thinking real dramatic..maybe yeah
Daffodil: What’s your zodiac sign?Gemini
Dahlia: Have you done anything worth remembering?Funny or stupid things? MaybeOtherwise honourable stuff, i don’t think so, i don’t view my actions like that.
I mean I survived, that’s pretty cool
Daisy: What do you feel is your greatest accomplishment?Above mentioned survival. Which includes making it out of my mother and her boyfriends abusive grip and household. Moving away. Being true to myself. Dragging myself out of the hole I had fallen in for a while. Getting close w my dad and family. Believing more in myself and stopping things that are not good for me. Getting an apprenticeship that I like. Moving forward in life
Daylily: What would you do if your parents didn’t like your partner(s)?If it’d be my dad I’d sit down with him and ask him why exactly. I have had a relationship before in which I did not see how badly I was treated/ that I basically searched someone like my mother. So I’d listen, perhaps to prevent from making the same mistake again. If it turns out it’s nothing reasonable I think I’d tell him that I will pursue the relationship anyway and ask him to respect that and be as nice as possible to my partner.
If it’d be my mother.. No surprise she doesn’t even like me and honestly I wouldn’t give a shit.
Dendrobium: Who is the last person that you said “I love you” to?Did I say it? Not sure but written it in a letter, it was Sam
False Goat’s Beard: What is something you are good at?If my grades speak for themselves it’d be my apprenticeship, or like idk working hard about something I enjoy. I take this very seriously and give it everything I can. I’ve been told I’m good at talking, not sure if that’s true
Foxgloves: What’s something you’re bad at?I’m envious. It’s not that far that I am not happy for people, I think i generally have it under control but sometimes it gets the best of me and fills my stomach with nasty emotions.
Also saying stop. I do a lot for people, and I’ve been prone to letting people use and step on me for too long xnot standing up for myself
Freesia: What are three good things that have happened in the past month? The past month was actually absolutely terrible so not much to find here.Uhm..the bad thing that happened got our family closerI spend Christmas and new years w my familyI got amazing gifts and letters from my friends
Garden Cosmos: How was your day today?Stressful. I worked on my semester project and I feel like hardly anything worked
Gardenia: Are you happy with where you’re at in your life?I’m moving towards a happy place. But I’m definitely doing a lot better already
Gladiolus: What is something you hope to do in the next year or two?Finish my apprenticeship, surgery, be able to make my own money so I don’t have to rely on my dad so much (he does enough for me already) and so I can get more distance between my mother and I
Glory-of-the-Snow: What are ten things that make you happy/you’re grateful to have in your life?In no particular order
1. Dogs, god whenever I see a dog I’m happy because they are so cute and loyal,,,,,,,
2. probably everyone and their dog says this but my friends, honestly, I don’t know where I’d be without them. They helped me through terrible times in my life, are a constant source of love and joy to me.
3. my family. Since I didn’t have that for a long time I cherish it even more now that I do. It’s amazing to have a family that supports you behind you. I’m super grateful for everything they’ve done for me
4. the possibility to do the apprenticeship that I want to. it’s not always easy,,,I lack the money lmao but I’m so grateful that I can do this, because it makes me feel like I’m actually worth something in the working, adult world. I’m good at this
5. music. I listen to it so often, I can’t imagine not having music
6. sunshine, there’s something wonderful about going outside and feeling the warmth of the sun on your face, when it’s spring and winter has just gone by and you just have to smile because everything is bright and you’re surrounded by light
7. myself. Listen I dislike myself as much as the next guy but I’m working on appreciating myself and I am insanely proud of myself for coming as far as I have come. I don’t let myself feel it very often but having myself, it’s a good thing. I know my younger self would be very happy knowing that I did all those things for us.
8. something that makes me happy is creating, might it be art, or sewing or writing, anything really. It’s a pain in the ass and frustrating at times but I love looking at something knowing I did this, finishing it. And then looking back at it later and seeing how far I’ve come again
9. playing video games. It’s just fun to lose yourself in a story sometimes.
10. Christmas Markets. I don’t like Christmas itself. But I love the Markets, it’s the atmosphere of it. The food smells amazing and there are all those lights and there are kids with actual shining eyes because they see Christmas so magical and they are in awe by all the lights and honestly I feel the same awe sometimes when I’m on those Markets
Heliotropium: What helps you calm down when you feel stressed?  Hardly anything lmao. Listening to music. Distracting myself with either talking to someone or playing/watching something. Tho that often makes me feel guilty on the long run. What helps if stress is overwhelming me is writing down what it is that is stressing, like making a list and trying to untangle the mess, looking at what I have to do one by one
Hellebore: How do you show affection?Since I’m A  big fan of honesty I usually just say it. I like to tell people when I get some emotion. Like just telling them that I appreciate them. I think it’s nice to just be told that sometimes. Besides that I do things, like I’ll send anon messages or offer help just assisting somehow. Like not always outright having them know it’s me,like affection from afar. And well I’m helpful when I care abt someone especially, like “I can do this for you”
And being super openIt’s not alway clever as experience has shown but to me offering up things about myself means trust means affection in a way. Like giving a part of myself to someone. lmao
Hoary Stock: What are you proudest of?Making it to this point, I wasn’t in a very good state just a bit ago. But with the help of my friends and family I made it out of it. I have an apprenticeship I enjoy, I have my own flat, I have something to stand up for again. I can appreciate myself some more. I was able to see toxic relationships i was in and get away from them and not let myself be guilted but seeing them for what they are and acknowledging that while I am not a saint it doesn’t mean that I have to accept any treatment. I stood up to my mother, even if just a bit that was a huge step for me.
Hyacinth: What do you like to do in your free time?I barely had  any of it recently so I can very much put what I want to do. Which would be drawing. I haven’t done that properly in so long and I miss it. Like both sketching stuff on paper but mostly full pictures, sketching, lining and colouring somethin. Having a full art piece at the end. Also Play Games. And talk to my friends. Haven’t had a nice hour long convo with Nina or Charlotte or Sam in ages and I hate that.
Irises: Who can you talk to about (almost) everything? That’d be Charlotte and Nina
Lilac: What’s something you liked to do as a child?I would hide away in my room and imagine. Invent stories, characters, anything to distract me from how unhappy I was. I would act them out in my head when I laid in bed so I could sleep.
Lily of the Incas: What is something you still feel guilty for?I did not treat someone that I care about very well a few years ago, I didn’t give them the honesty they deserve. I was an asshole. Even if we spoke about it, I still feel very bad about it.
Lily of the Nile: What is something you feel guilty for that you shouldn’t feel guilty about?Indulging. When I have things to do but take a break I always feel super guilty for not doing anything.
Lupine: What does your name mean? Why is that your name?It seems it comes from the Roman name Julianus, and was the name of a pangan Roman Emperor as well as a name of saints. Sometimes meaning youthful which fits because I look like a baby
Marigold: Where did you grow up? Tell us about it.I grew up in a big city in Germany. Very busy City with high buildings and no time. I lived in a flat when I was very young, a room with big windows where I’d sit and look out ot. Then we moved into the house my dad still lives in. Where houses were built in rows and more people knew each other, I’d walk home and pretend to not see them as to not have to speak to them.
Then I moved in a beautiful flat in a more busy part of the city, with a bookstore in the same building and a supermarket right down the street. My hometown is best described in the colour grey. I dont think it very pretty if I’m honest.Still its full of memories and not half as bad
Morning Glory: What was your bedroom like growing up?Talking about the one in the house. Light peach coloured walls. Small but with big windows to look out of. An old wooden bed in front of one Window, and even older Closet next to the door, already so old that it had been ancient when my dad had been young. A desk in one corner at the other side of the room, above it shelves filled with books, little trinkets on the windowsills. Cabinets filled with paper full of secrets. Posters on the Walls and a round mirror that I hated looking into when I was young.
Mugworts: What was it like for you as a teenager? Did you enjoy your teenage years?  God no. I have repressed most of my younger years. My teenage years were filled with confusion and self doubt. I was a mess, I hated myself, not knowing who I was. And then knowing but being shamed for it, hiding away and keeping my head low to survive. Pushing myself to the limits and clinging to the thought that I could escape at age 18
Norwegian Angelica: Tell us about your mom.My Mother and I are not on good terms. I’ve spend countless of years desperately attempting to please her, hoping for love or anything close to it. I was constantly let down by her. My mother is someone that I fear I’ll never understand, adapting to the men that she is with. Claiming to have reached compassion and selflessness while being the opposite. Acts childish and has never accepted or supported me. Now attempts to lure in my sister whom I fear for as she’s always wanted my mother to love her. I have estranged from her very much and currently I am happy seeing her as less as possible.
Onions: Tell about your dad.  I remember my father as a very autocratic person in my youth. He’d always work and would only be home to cast judgement. We did not get along well, and my mother, like grima wormtongue, had influenced me further into seeing him as a terrible person. Now I see him very differently. In fact I am similar to my father. Hard working, well spoken and crafty. We share a similar humor and I am very thankful for his support over the last year. To me my father is a very good example of how sometimes people can actually change, sometimes second chances will not disappoint you. My father cares very much about our family and I am happy to have gotten close to him again.
Orchid: Tell about your grandparents.I won’t lose many words about my mother’s parents as there isn’t much to say about them.My mothers father was always sick, more often because he believed he was. The years before he died it had only gotten worse. My Grandmother was never really happy in that relationship, something I believe she handed down to my mother.
My fathers parentsWell, when I was young it was difficult, they aren’t exactly children people, despite trying. I especially had my difficulties with my grandmother, who was work above everything and wanted everything to be perfect.I remember her always fixing my clothing. Countless of instances of her and my dad arguing.
When I got older we had barely any contract until I had my coming out to my dad, who told my grandparents. Much to my surprise and I still respect that so much, they were immediately supportive and accepting, perhaps even more than anyone else from my family.
In the last year we grew closer. They helped me with my flat and would come over to set up a few things. I took them to a restaurant that my grandfather would always talk about whenever we talked, happily.
My grandmother and I had phone calls at least once a week, she was also the most interested in my apprenticeship, always curious, sending me old magazines and ideas she had. As well as button ups and shirts she had bought for me or old ones from my grandfather. She offered me support when we talked, told me they’d do anything they could
When my sister and I were getting clothing for my grandpa, as he was saying with us, I found a book on my grandmother’s bedside table. It was an educational oneIn it was also an article she had cut out of a newspaper, the title saying how the support of the family is the most important thing to lgbt children.
I miss my grandmother
Peony: What was your first job?I worked a summer at my mothers workplace. Cleaning watches and watch straps, replacing small things on the straps
Petunia: If you’re in a relationship, how did you meet your partner(s)? If you’re not in a relationship, how did you meet your crush/how do you hope to meet your future partner(s), if you want any?We met 2014 on a cosplay convention in the city I grew up in. We met on the first day of that, where we all hung out in a group and then he and Charlotte spend the next day w us as well.
Pincushion: How do you deal with pain?I bottle it up, focus on something that keeps me busy. Sometimes other people’s pain or doing things for them. Distraction from thoughts really. I’m best when I’m busy
Pink: Where is home?If you’d asked me a couple of months ago my answer would’ve been easy and quick. But now phew, I mean I call my place home as in “I’m going home” and I call my dads place home as in “I was home over the holidays”
But I’m not sure, not really
Plantain Lilies: If you could go back in time, what is one thing you would stop/change?I could go endlessly both about important historical events and tragedies as well as personal mishaps and bad choices. But eventually I actually think this is too big of a question to answer like this. I’m generally better in speech than word when it comes to things like that
Primrose: Describe your ideal life.Steady. As in a job that I like, that provides me with enough money to survive well. Not to worry about everything. Having Dogs, as that I something I always wanted. Living somewhere in the city (always dreamed of a Fachwerk House but yeah…), with the possibility to visit my friends that I am in good contact in. Living with love and happiness. With a connection to my family still as good as now. Perhaps with someone,,,
Rose: What’s your favorite sound?I love the sound of paper, like books, pages turning, things like that. Also soft rain
Sage: What’s your least favorite memory?I’m a Class A represser. So it’d probably be many things centered abt my mother.
Snapdragon: At this moment, what do you want?  I want my semester presentation to go well tomorrow. That’s all I care abt rn
St. John’s Wort: Is it easy or difficult for you to express how you feel about things? It used to be harder in the past but I’ve gotten slightly better at it. I’m still struggling with feeling but it’s a work in progress.
Sunflower: What is something you don’t want to imagine life without? My Friends and Family, cheesy I know but over the last year I’ve become more set in that. Once more I noticed how much strength those can give you. And also noticed how important they are to me by the way things that happen hurt me
Sweet Pea: How much sleep did you get last night?7 hours, couldn’t fall asleep at first but that’s usually my minimum of sleep
Tickseed: What’s your main reason to get up every morning?School. I have a timed, strict schedule thanks to that and it forces me to get up until a certain time in the morning. That helps a lot actually
Touch-Me-Not: How do you feel about your current job?I’m still in an apprenticeship but I enjoy it a lot
Transvaal Daisy: What’s your favorite item of clothing?I have a new pair of shoes that are so beautiful I wish I had the look and body and style to wear them day to day. Also got some cool button ups
Tropical White Morning Glory: Describe your aesthetic.Look at this and you’ll see first hand https://www.pinterest.de/Gayneral/
I’m sorry I’m bad at desctibing my aesthetic. It’s like, historical stuff, museums, snowey Fachwerk, religious themed things, bee themed things, watches…
Vervain: What’s stressing you out most right now?My semester project is due to two and a half weeks and I’m super nervous about finishing it like boooooy
Wisteria: How many books have you read in the past few months? What were they called?Sadly I’ve been super busy recently so I’ve only been able to read a tiny bit in my holidays, Acht Nacht by Sebastian Fitzek
Wolf’s Bane: Where do you want to be in life this time next year?Still in school, doing good, and enjoying it
Still having a good relationship w my father, my sister and that whole family
Still good with my friends, hopefully seeing them more often
(maybe in a relationship pls don’t @ me)
Generally happy, not having to worry too much
Yarrow: Do you know what vore is?Thanks to tumblr I do, and I hate it
Zinnia: Give a random fact about yourself.I take my school very seriously. And I have zero tolerance for those in our school that don’t.

BRICS And Homosexuality
In the past few months, this blog has shown that within the United States, sexual understandings don’t exist in isolation. Instead, political, social and economic developments exert constant influence on how U.S. society understands sex.
This has been the case since modern sexual philosophy began forming in the 1980s. That was long evident to American philosopher Gore Vidal. In his 1979 essay “Sex Is Politics”, Mr. Vidal bluntly said that “the sexual attitudes of any given society are the result of political decisions.” He stated further, “Any sexual or intellectual or recreational or political activity that might decrease the amount of coal mined, the number of pyramids built, the quantity of junk food confected will be proscribed…”
In other words, if you think sex has nothing to do with other world events, you’re fooling yourself. At present, the best example concerns an increasingly powerful trading bloc - BRICS.
BRICS stands for the coalition of progressively dominant economies in Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Their share of global GDP (gross domestic product, the total value of a country’s output) has increased by leaps and bounds. The middle classes of India and China have exploded in size. They have collaborated more on trade and economic projects. In their latest meeting, countries like Mexico, Thailand and Egypt were invited as observers, trying to woo them into joining the bloc.
For many years, stories have circulated that their power threatens to upend U.S. hegemony in world affairs. The frequency of these stories has increased with time. Though recent turmoil in these countries slowed their progress, their momentum is beginning to recover.
Developments within the U.S. are further fanning speculation. All signs point to a country that is becoming unstable and economically dysfunctional. The New York Subway is now among the worst in the world, threatening to strangle the economy of the country’s largest city. National infrastructure is crumbling left and right. Homelessness has increased for the first time since the 2008 economic crisis. Wages are flat as expenses increase, and less people are participating in the labor force. As medical industry dysfunction continues, and in the middle of a raging drug crisis, U.S. life expectancy has declined for a second straight year.
And as if all these headlines weren’t enough, Russia claims that it now outarms the United States. Though U.S. politicians initially called it a bluff, they are now asking President Trump to call for arms talks.
Because of all these, and if current trends continue, the United States may soon lose its international dominance. More experts are speculating about that possibility. It’s something that makes U.S. political and economic authorities very uneasy.
They’re not the only ones concerned. Though they won’t admit it, “gay” leadership and media are likely watching these developments closely. This is because whatever happens concerning BRICS will affect them, and by extension you and your sexuality.
If that seems absurd, you might not realize how much U.S. society affects your view of sex. Simply put, modern sexual philosophy (which includes the “straight”-”gay” dichotomy) is entirely the baby of the United States.
Think about all these factors. The “Straight”-”Gay” dichotomy is a hybrid of U.S. capitalism and two-party politics. Many additional rules of modern sexual philosophy benefit U.S. neoliberalism and corporate militarism. Furthermore, LGBT advocacy is centered in the United States, and activists in other lands take their cues from counterparts in the U.S. To gain publicity worldwide, the LGBT conceptualization of same-sex activity depends on media exported from the U.S. To get results in other countries, the LGBT movement entirely depends on support from U.S. diplomacy.
Is a theme becoming evident here? In so many ways, LGBT advocacy depends on U.S. hegemony. The dominance of the United States allows the LGBT version of same-sex activity to spread abroad. Publicity of their conceptualization of sex requires that the U.S. remain king of the world.
Meanwhile, all five countries retain their traditional cultures of same-sex activity, for the most part. These cultures contain same-sex activity that is widespread and frequent in those lands. They pivot on non-penetrative acts, prohibit anal as taboo, and don’t feel the need to categorize themselves. These cultures do not consider themselves “homosexuality”. Instead, the word refers to the LGBT conceptualization of same-sex activity, which is a cross-gender abnormality that hinges on anal play.
In at least one country (Brazil), the “g0y” movement has had extraordinary success. The movement gives a name to the country’s traditional same-sex culture, and is now giving stiff competition to LGBT advocacy in Brazil.
LGBT leadership and media can see the writing on the wall. They know that times are changing. They realize that if U.S. hegemony tanks, worldwide LGBT advocacy will go with it.  The LGBT conceptualization of same-sex activity would lose influence outside the United States, and perhaps even within it. Their power and positions on the world stage would disintegrate into dust.
Thus, they are intensely interested in supporting LGBT advocacy overseas. For their own sake, their conceptualization of sex must survive outside the United States. Thus, they are focused on ensuring that versions of their conceptualization survive within the BRICS countries. This is probably why in each of the BRICS countries, LGBT advocacy is heating up in intensity.
It’s certainly not out of the goodness of their hearts. Remember that the LGBT-identified community has a hideous legacy of bigotry. American footballer Michael Sam said LGBT-identified racism is worse than African American homophobia. Prejudice is frequent across all kinds of ethnic lines. Given these attitudes, I highly doubt that “gay” leadership and media are genuinely interested in people abroad.
Instead, their logic is simple in its capitalist tenor - if they can expand their product into other markets, the status quo will continue to survive. Their positions of power will remain secure. Their version of same-sex activity will continue growth, no matter how harmful it might be.
In other words, LGBT advocacy in the developing world (including in BRICS) is very self serving. If you’re not convinced of that, notice how the LGBT movement reacted to two stories with the United States - the tale of footballer Aaron Hernandez, and Net Neutrality.
In early 2017, the suicide of Aaron Hernandez captivated the nation. Soon, rumors spread that he was into both genders, which offered a reason for murdering his friend Odin Lloyd. His apparently long history of bisexual behavior showed that there were plenty of sportsmen who weren’t “straight”. At the surface, this would have helped the case of the LGBT movement.
Instead, the LGBT leadership and media loudly yelled at other news outlets to bury the story.
Why did they react this way? Because while Mr. Hernandez was bisexual in his behavior, he felt no need to assume a “gay” identity. He engaged in bisexual behavior without feeling that it needed to be labelled. His example would have shown that same-sex desire is a universal phenomenon, and does not require acquiring an LGBT identity, or ingratiating oneself in “gay” culture.
This is something that LGBT leadership wanted to prevent. After making enough noise about it, the news outlets cooperated with them. Thus, their reaction reveals something that you must understand. The LGBT leadership only supports events and people who reinforce the message of modern sexual philosophy - that same-sex eroticism is abnormal and aberrant, and should be treated that way. If they encounter anything that says otherwise, they want nothing to do with it, and will actually do their utmost to destroy it.
The recent reaction to Net Neutrality revealed more about their attitudes. On December 14th, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted to repeal rules enforcing Net Neutrality. Efforts to stop its rollback continue, in the U.S. Congress and beyond. The end of Net Neutrality generated endless articles and commentary in the larger media world, as many writers explained new developments and explored their implications.
Yet, what of the LGBT media? How did they react? There was scarcely a peep from them, at least before the vote. Even though LGBT-identified internet users felt uniquely threatened by the repeal, apparently it didn’t matter to them.
The only output highlighting the situation’s urgency was this video from the Advocate, which was posted on December 13th. The attached video does a good job of explaining the situation, but makes no forceful “call to action”. Instead, it quickly says the URL of a protest website (without even putting the link in text), and calmly asks its readers to make their voices heard, “while you still can”. There was a very limited window to do so, since the video was posted 18 hours before the vote.
When they make voicing opinion so difficult, what do the leadership and media expect their fellow members to do? I suppose they want them to imitate the recommended approach to anal sex - stop crying, bend over, and enjoy it.
To apparently appease their subordinates, most LGBT media coverage happened during the vote and afterward, and even that was relatively miniscule. That included an extremely tepid and feeble reaction from Sarah Kate Ellis, the President and CEO of GLAAD. How wise of them to act after the horses left the stable 15 minutes before.
A “gay” opinion piece from the Federalist might shed light on their reaction. Within the piece, writer Chad Felix Greene argues that “gay” people and issues are too ingrained in society to be censored. Thus, as he writes, Net Neutrality will have relatively little impact on LGBT media.
To be clear, I disagree with a number of his arguments. For example, he disputes that left-wing outlets risk being censored by internet service providers (ISPs). Over the past few months, many alternative left-wing sites have complained about censorship by Google, Facebook and other like websites. It’s not a stretch to imagine ISPs doing the same thing.
Yet, I think his central point has merit. I do think that LGBT media might not be affected much by Net Neutrality repeal. The rollback is a nakedly neoliberalist move, and through their actions, the “gay” leadership evidently support neoliberalism. Thus, it would only make sense that neoliberalism would protect any force that supports it.
Besides, the “gay” media and leadership aren’t shrinking violets. If they think something merits attention, nothing will stop them. If they are so lazy about something so monumental, it obviously doesn’t worry them.
Indeed, if anyone should be concerned, it’s this website, the g0y movement, the Man2Man Alliance, and like minded websites and Tumblr blogs. We are all actively challenging the idea that same-sex activity is weird and abnormal, which modern sexual philosophy hinges on. So many careers depend on people believing that lie, including those of the LGBT leadership. Thus, it wouldn’t be surprising if we end up being censored.
In fact, that censorship might already be happening. While getting links for this new page, a number of the websites I researched loaded very slowly.
The point is this: in these domestic disputes that impacted LGBT-identified people, the leadership and media didn’t act in their interests. Instead, their own welfare triumphed. If they can be so unsympathetic on issues inside the U.S., do you really think their overseas actions are motivated by goodwill?
Instead, it has less to do with kindness and compassion, and more to do with empire building and capitalist expansion.
Now, to be clear, I’m not justifying violence against LGBT-identified people in the BRICS countries. To me, they are the grass trampled underfoot by warring elephants. My point is that the LGBT leadership is not a benevolent force. As such, I think they are part of the problem. For the survival of themselves and their culture, they are focused on supplanting the traditional same-sex cultures in the developing world, especially emerging superpowers. As such, they imperialistically view those traditional cultures as immature and inferior, and their own conceptualization as superior and mature, even if it’s riddled with serious problems.
Why are they targeting the BRICS countries? Because if current trends continue, they will become the economic powerhouses of the world. Thus, if and when the U.S. falls behind, the LGBT conceptualization of same-sex activity will survive. Within those countries, their conceptualization will continue to exercise international dominance, regardless of the medical and psychological issues it contains.
So, the concluding question is, what will you do about it?
Make no mistake - the LGBT leadership and media don’t work for you. They will only do so if your interests line up with their own. Otherwise, you’re on your own.
Thus, I ask you to think long and hard about what you’ve just read. The world the LGBT leadership is trying to create won’t necessarily benefit you.
I also ask you to read further on this site. I urge you to read “The ‘Straight’-’Gay’ Dichotomy: How It Works”, to fully understand how that system functions. I also urge any who read this to go to “For Straight People (though not exclusively)”, which will point to philosophies and forms of same-sex behavior that don’t hinge on demonstratively false concepts. Also read the page “History of the Concept of Homosexuality”, to see how this concept evolved into its modern day meaning. Don’t be afraid of talking about what you learn to others.
The LGBT version of same-sex activity causes turmoil wherever it appears. Other approaches to same-sex activity do exist, but they’ll only make a difference if people know about it. If you can educate yourself on that, you’ll be able to introduce it to others.

Coronavirus: All truth you need to know about COVID-19 Michael Ryan, Boss Venture Official Americas, UBS Budgetary Administrations
The coronavirus pandemic has been contrasted with a world war.
Italy's Head administrator Giuseppe Conte said he would treat this as a war, securing individuals up their homes to protect them. Securing individuals up prison who ignored requests. Spain's Executive Pedro Sanchez stated, "We have never survived anything like this." France's leader Emmanuel Macron said his nation is "at war" with the coronavirus. At home, President Trump compares it to an "imperceptible foe". A military clinic transport not seen in New York since September 11, 2001, psychological militant assaults maneuvered. Bretton Woods evaluates that up to 23% of U.S. Gross domestic product attached to retail, travel and the travel industry, nourishment administration, diversion and amusement, and land. At the tallness of World War II, a significant part of the world was at war with Germany or Japan, consideration went to the disconnected U.S. For some expectation. After the assault on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. Washington took a "the entirety of nation" way to deal with battling the adversary. What's more, with it, the full assets and gainful limit of the U.S. Economy went to the war exertion. New York Senator Andrew Cuomo is presently driving the state through the focal point of the most exceedingly terrible viral. coronavirus is a contention that will pursue different performance
Established researchers, clinical calling, and medicinal services industry are working intimately with government wellbeing authorities and policymakers. Real factors on the ground move reactions, and needs constantly. As one medical caretaker managing this in the U.S. Said to me, "it's somewhat similar to working in a sand trap." "This resembles September 11 in my brain," says Sam Hendel, a reserve administrator of Levin Easterly Accomplices in New York. "September 11 prompted the formation of the Division of Country Security. An entirely different industry made after those psychological oppressor assaults. Like World War II, "the coronavirus is a contention that will pursue over different performance centers of activity", says Michael Ryan, boss venture official for UBS Money related Administrations PNC. General wellbeing authorities will manage ailment control; fund pastors and national investors will manage the monetary stuns. Trump with Anthony Fauci, Chief of the National Foundation of Sensitivity and Irresistible Infections.
The financial improvement as of now represents almost 10% of the U.S
Congress has just passed three separate salvage bundles. On the whole, the financial improvement as of now represents almost 10% of U.S. Gross domestic product. In the following stage, President Trump needs a framework bill. Some portion of that framework is probably going to be pandemic readiness. The goal lines in the coronavirus end zone continue moving. Everybody is as yet finding out about the COVID-19. To spectators of history here at home, World War II won in light of the fact that the U.S. Joined the battle. Russia, as well, assumed a job when it broke with the Germans, basically encompassing them. Writing in an amazing and inventive note to customers on Walk 28, UBS' Ryan called attention to that the individuals who survived. The war will bear witness to that there was nothing inescapable about the result. The passage of the U.S. Tipped the scales against Germany and Japan, however, the last triumph required cautious arranging and eating with the Russians, too. It required an all involved deck duty, political solidarity and a continuous sending of assets assigned for a solitary reason. This is also an Impact of coronavirus in the Economy. "With the U.S. Having now gotten the exertion together with a huge preparation of assets, the level of influence right now moved. From the outset it was China, at that point Europe, presently the U.S. Is beside endure in a fight.
Slow down the manufacturing activity
We are certain that the joined assets and joined the will of the main countries of the world will demonstrate effective in containing it. “A great night of fights with two potentially so-so headliners” UFC Fight Night From Brazil Preview
Joey
October 25th
After a very solid afternoon tilt, the UFC is back on the road and back in international waters with a show from Brazil! The wonderful 2nd home of the UFC has seen quite a fall from grace in recent memory as there is ONE current Brazilian champion after running the sport from 2012 to 2014 and for once, there doesn't seem to be a wealth of options out on the bench ready to step up and hit a home run. Now having said that, this card is VERY good with a collection of established names you're familiar with, newbies with high promise, some under 30 or so fighters who have been honing their crafts on undercards and best of all some absolutely perfect matchmaking to back it all up. It's gonna be worth your time so let's see what a Brazilian Fight Night brings to the table on a very busy Saturday slate of action.
Fights: 12
Debuts: 1 (Marcelo Golm)
Fight Changes/Injury Cancellations: 4 (Carlos Felipe OUT, Marcelo Golm IN vs Christian Colombo/Augsto Mendes OUT, Raoni Barcelos IN vs Boston Salmon/Boston Salmon vs Raoni Barcelos CANCELLED/Luan Chagas OUT, Vicente Luque IN vs Niko Price)
Headliners (fighters who have either main evented or co-main evented shows in the UFC): 5 (Lyoto Machida, Derek Brunson, John Lineker, Demian Maia, Jim Miller)
Fighters On Losing Streaks in the UFC: 3 (Jim Miller, Lyoto Machida, Hacran Dias)
Fighters On Winning Streaks in the UFC:  9 (Colby Covington, Marlon Vera, Rob Font, Pedro Munoz, Jack Hermansson, Thiago Marreta Santos, Niko Price, Antonio Carlos Junior, Elizeu Zaleski)
Stat Monitor for 2017:
Debuting Fighters (Current number: 32-29)- Marcelo Golm
Short Notice Fighters (Current number: 17-31-1)- Marclo Golm, Vicente Luque
Second Fight (Current number: 23-33)-  Jarrod Brooks, Devieson Figuerido
Cage Corrosion (16-9-1)- Lyoto Machida, Hacran Dias
Twelve Precarious Ponderings
1- So what does Lyoto Machida even have left at this point? Machida's run at 185 lbs has been interesting to say the least. His resume at 205 lbs is tremendous with wins over Rashad Evans, Dan Henderson, Tito Ortiz, Rich Franklin (forgive me if that was at 185 lbs), Ryan Bader, Randy Couture and Shogun Rua all when those meant a whole hell of a lot. His losses are to Shogun Rua, Rampage Jackson and Jon Jones. He made the decision to dwell at 185 lbs in 2014 and thus far the results haven't been as sparkling. Obviously nobody should shun wins over guys like Gegard Mousasi and CB Dollaway but his losses at the weight class have been pretty burtal to bear witness to. He made a valiant effort with a late rally vs Chris Weidman but against Yoel Romero, he was absolutely run over and against Luke Rockhold he was outpowered and overwhelmed. He's approaching 40, coming off a hell of a layoff and his last two fights do little to inspire confidence in him. He is, for all intents and purposes, a guy who seems washed up.
Machida will be the first real case study in how a style like his ages. You always hear that the chin and the reflexes are the first things to go and the power is the last thing. Machida is reliant, almost to an absurd degree on his timing and reflexes. Against Rockhold I can't think of a single thing he could've done differently but he always looked slow vs Yoel Romero. He seemed pensive and once a guy at his age has a tough time pulling the trigger, that's it. That's NOT something that comes back. If you lose the ability to fire, you're done. In his prime, Brunson would've been a style that Machida would crunch up on. A big power so-so cardio wrestler who isn't going to give you a lot to worry about. Machida used to LIVE for those "tough in the first round" types because he'd just pick them off from the outside, wait until they slow down and then blitz and finish them. If Brunson gets him then I have no idea what to say anymore.
2- Who will have the cardio edge in the championship rounds? Machida's never been cardio deficient but he IS going to be 40. Brunson is good early, rougher late and has a style that's not conducive to long fights. A lot of quick hitter explosion on the feet and grinding wrestling late. Might not be a great matchup.
3- The Tough Dad's Division is up in the air but I think I've figured out the key to succeeding as a Tough Dad: Be Available.
From Derek Brunson's fight vs Uriah Hall in September of 2016 to now, this will be his 4th fight. So if you include the Uriah Hall fight, he's fought five times in 13 months. Let's comp that with "the elites" of the division:
September 16 to October 2017 you have Yoel Romero fighting twice,  Robert Whittaker fighting a remarkable three times, Jacare twice, Luke Rochold gracing us with his presence ONCE, Michael Bisping also has just ONE appearance and Chris Weidman has fought three times. Your ability as a middleweight and light heavyweight is your availability I suppose. It's why Tim Boetsch survives in MMA, it's why Sam Alvey will forever have a gig and why Uriah Hall never slumps TOO much. Guys who fight often can eliminate wins and losses a lot quicker. There's a skill and strength to being active so kudos to Brunson for figuring this thing out.
4- Is Demian Maia vs Colby Covington the UFC's way of just taking two problems and hoping they cancel each other out? Like I can't see this fight being exciting in any way really.
5- It's somewhat hidden on a very good card BUT gimme that fight with Jim Miller and Francisco Trinaldo. Massaranduba built up a really great 155 lb streak and it came to a screeching halt when Kevin Lee outlasted him after a hectic first and subbed him in the second round. Jim Miller is sort of in the midst of a career renaissance or at the very least, he's taken great strides in re-establishing himself as a total all action psychopath in the cage. Even when he's athletically outmatched, he seems to always make those fights his own.
6- Pedro Munhoz vs Rob Font is SUCH an impressive fight on paper primarily because it returns Font to the scene of his greatest disappointment. Against John Lineker, Font looked SO overwhelmed from the size of the crowd to the volume to the actual opponent. He didn't fight up to the situation and even if you don't beat a guy like John Lineker, there are ways to impress in a loss. He didn't impress and while Lineker and Munhoz are not even on the same universe in terms of styles and reputation, Munoz is a fantastic 135 lber. This is a very cool fight with a shot at redemption for Rob Font.
7- They have different ways of going about it but both Marlon "Chito" Vera and John Lineker share a common trait for success; they are never ever out of a fight. Lineker's power and his march ahead brawler style make him a threat to anybody. Chito Vera's grappling, length and power in his own right makes him a scary fighter for any opponent. He's long, freakishly athletic and fights like he doesn't know any better. This is another great fight at 135 lbs.
8- If you have FS2 then you're in for a Jim Dandy because the FS2 prelim slate is really, really good. From a battle of good MWs with two clashing styles in Antonio Carlos Jr and all action Jack Marshmann to Elizeu Zaleski vs Max Griffin in what should be a "let 'em fly" slugfest to the return of Niko Price vs competent WW Vicente Luque, you got plenty to dig in and digest.
9- Speaking of Zaleski, I feel like his upside is muted by fans sometimes. Why can't this guy fight in the top 10 of the division? His wins are over Keita Nakamura, Omari Akhmedov and Lyman Good. If you follow beyond the main cards, that's really solid competition and his one loss was to Nicholas Dalby in a fight I was SURE he won. He's all action, he has tremendous cardio, fights at an unrelenting pace and MELTS people with his power and his cardio. If his wrestling improves a smidge, he can beat guys in the top 10.
11- Thiago Santos is all action all of the time....but I have questions about his ability to deal with aggressive wrestlers. There are some things that Jack Marshmann does very well and one of those is pressure and rely on his ground and pound. I don't know if that's a good style for Marreta BUT we shall see if he cracks him first.
12- The UFC's problem in the United State is that fight fans want to see their old guys and dont care about new names. In Brazil, the problem is that the old guys keep losing but they have zero young guys to replace them. The youngest Brazilians on this card? 27 year old John Lineker, 27 year old Antonio Carlos Junior and 25 year old Vicente Luque. Good fighters but almost all have ceilings which will limit their growth going forward. Not overly exciting.
Must wins
1- Derek Brunson
Lyoto Machida is in a very specific group of people who will leave the UFC under their own terms. He's got a job quite possibly for life as a former champion who fights at two weight classes of need PLUS he's Brazilian. He'll be here until he decides he doesn't wanna be here. For Derek Brunson, he's approaching 35 and every big fight he's taken he's lost. Now granted, he made a great showing vs Yoel Romero, probably beat Anderson Silva and had Robert Whittaker hurting. Ifs and buts as they say. He's facing a near 40 Lyoto Machida coming off a long layoff. He HAS to win this or else his availability will only guarantee an existence outside the top 10.
2- Colby Covington
I mean....duh? Covington is trying to be the guy who uses social media to build his profile and get people excited about him. That's AWESOME except his social media ramblings are quite weird. He's an acquired taste and the same can go for his more boring meat and potatoes style which is a throwback to the Matt Hughes era of wrestling and ground and pound above all else. He vs Maia is a case of two negatives being asked to produce a positive and if he does that AND if he wins then the sky may be the limit for him.
3- Antonio Carlos Jr
Antonio Carlos Jr is high upside and an amusing fun style of grappling combined with youth and desperation. The UFC needs a new Brazilian face and Shoeface, ironically enough, could just be that guy. He's a name to keep an eye on even if his hype is just desperation. The HW turned LHW turned MW draws a winnable fight in Jack Marshmann; a sophisicated brawler type who feasts on pressure but is hittable and beatable in any facet of the game. He's a sum of his parts kind of guy. Shoeface needs to win this one because it's a stylistic giftwrapped type opponent at home no less.

2017: #4-SPIES
Tumblr media
There’s a man who leads a life of danger To everyone he meets he stays a stranger With every move he makes another chance he takes Odds are he won’t live to see tomorrow Secret agent man, secret agent man They’ve given you a number and taken away your name. - “Secret Agent Man” by Johnny Rivers.
James Bond is not an uncommon Halloween costume; so many different Bond outfits could be used, but white tuxedos are sure to win the day.  There are other distinctive spies that one could create costumes for Halloween.  Patrick McGoohan was one of the first actors to regularly portray a spy, John Drake, in the British series, Danger Man, from 1960-62.  In the half-hour episodes, John Drake worked on various cases as a United Nations agent.  The series returned from 1964-67 as Secret Agent in one-hour episodes.  In Secret Agent, John Drake now worked for the British secret service.  The storylines were sophisticated and realistic.  McGoohan performed his own stunts, and there were excellent supporting actors.  Johnny River’s song, “Secret Agent Man” was created for this series.  In 1967, McGoohan went on to co-create The Prisoner, a science-fiction/spy, cult tv mini-series.  McGoohan wore a distinctive outfit in The Prisoner, perfect for a Halloween costume, including a black blazer with white piping.  The Prisoner sure seems like the continuing Orwellian nightmarish misadventures of John Drake, even though McGoohan’s character is only referred to as Number Six in the seventeen episodes.  Who has kidnapped him?  Where is he?  Who is Number One?  And what are those growling, large, white bubble monsters (see 2011: #2-STRANGE TV MONSTERS)?  The Prisoner is one of the most artistic and intelligent television series ever made, and has social commentary ranging from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest to 1984.  In fact, The Prisoner is one of the top ten best tv series ever.  The Prisoner has a definite ending which is so strange that it makes a werewolf yodeling Swedish songs in a hot tub filled with gravy to be rather normal.  In the 1960’s-70’s, McGoohan was offered the role of James Bond three times, but he turned it down because he felt that Bond was an immoral character.  Actors who portray spies often feel that they are villains.
In 1962, Dr. No, the first James Bond film, was released starring Sean Connery.  When he tired of the role, George Lazenby became the second James Bond for one film.  Meanwhile, a popular British spy tv series had started since Danger Man had begun: The Saint.  The Saint ran from 1962-69, black and white and then into color, and featured the thief, but honorable cultured man, Simon Templar, as played by a young Roger Moore.  Roger Moore then graduated to become the third James Bond.  He extended his tongue-in-cheek persona of Simon Templar into his characterization of James Bond.  The Saint was resurrected in 1978 with The Return of the Saint British tv series and starred Ian Ogilvy.  Timothy Dalton then replaced Roger Moore in the 1980’s as the fourth James Bond.  The 1982-87 American tv series, Remington Steele, became popular which was about a Simon Templar-like character, starring Pierce Brosnan.  After waiting for his Remington Steele contractual issues to end, Pierce Brosnan became the fifth official James Bond.  But there have also been unofficial James Bonds.  The 1967 film, Casino Royale, was not included in the James Bond film series.  Instead, it was curiously created as a comedy with multiple actors portraying James Bond including David Niven and Peter Sellers.  For villains, Casino Royale starred Orson Wells as Le Chiffre and Woody Allen as Dr. Noah.  Back in the proper James Bond series, in 2006 Daniel Craig became the sixth James Bond.  He portrays Bond the most accurately as compared to the character in the books.
The James Bond original novels were written by Ian Fleming who also strangely released, Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang.  He wrote fourteen James Bond books from 1953-66 which provided full characterizations of Bond.  They are worth reading if you like spy novels.  The Bond in the books is a bit different than the Bond in films.  The novels characterize Bond as more of a gourmet and less of a lusty womanizer, who tries to live life to the fullest because he expects to die any day.  The central characteristic of Bond and any superior spy is thinking outside of the box – and probably blowing up the box!  In 1968, Kingsley Amis continued the Bond series with Colonel Sun.  Then the Bond book series died, until 1981-96 in which John Gardner continued the series with sixteen more novels.  Some of his Bond novels were exceptionally awful.  The series was then continued by Raymond Benson with nine novels from 1996-2002.  Since then there have been four new novels written in the series, each by a different author, such as Devil May Care by Sebastian Faulks.  There is also a Young Bond series that started twelve years ago written by two authors and containing eleven books.
James Bond is a major acting role just like Batman or Sherlock Holmes.  There are some noteworthy actors who turned down the role over the years besides Patrick McGoohan.  Richard Burton and Cary Grant both turned down the role.  Adam West and Clint Eastwood refused the role because they felt the actor should be British.  There are many actors who auditioned and were not selected for the role: Michael Cain, Paul McGann, Mel Gibson, Sam Neill, and Jeremy Brett (see 2012: #12-THE ADVENTURES OF SHEERLUCK HOMIE).  It would be fascinating if a future James Bond film brought back the surviving Bond actors including Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan as villains.  When considering Bond-related Halloween costumes, take into account distinctive Bond villains such as the bald Goldfinger or the three-nippled Scaramanga.  But there are spies beyond Bond!
Perhaps the most stylish, elegant, and entertaining spy tv series is The Avengers starring Patrick Macnee as John Steed and Dianna Rigg as Emma Peel.  Steed was a spy who wore custom-made, light blue or gray, Pierre Cardin suits, wore a distinctive armored bowler hat, and carried secret-gadget umbrellas, all suitably swell for Halloween costumes.  The first season featured Dr. David Keel who meets the spy, John Steed.  The second season included Steed mostly working with Cathy Gale played by Honor Blackman who appeared in Goldfinger.  The third and fourth seasons were the best and introduced Steed to Dianna Rigg as the wonderful Mrs. Emma Peel.  Mrs. Peel’s colorful catsuits and full leather bodysuits qualify for being cool Halloween costumes.  The fifth and sixth seasons had Steed working with his spy boss, Mother, played by Patrick Newel as he was assisted by the spy-in-training, Tara King, played by Linda Thorson.  The Avengers ran for six seasons between 1961-69 with one hundred and sixty-one episodes.  Some episodes crossed over into science-fiction/horror with possible ghosts, time travel, Frankenstein monsters, and UFOs.  Guest stars included Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee (see 2018: #1-GREAT HORROR FILM ACTORS).  In 1976-77, two seasons of The New Avengers ran with Patrick Macnee reprising his role as an older Steed as he directed the spies Gambit and Purdey, who was portrayed by Absolutely Fabulous’ Joanna Lumley (aka Patsy).   The Avengers was adapted into a 1998 film that was panned by critics but included Ralph Fiennes, Sean Connery, and an appearance by Patrick Macnee as an invisible man.  I met Patrick Macnee in 1992, and I asked him to impart his wisdom and he told me, “Do whatever you have to do to get through the day.”
There are many other popular spy tv series.  The Man From Uncle was popular; so was I, Spy.  Mission Impossible was a tv series and has also been a film series.  The Wild, Wild West was a decent spy series with a lot of perilous dwarf villains.  In the 1970’s, Edward Woodward was the lead in the dark, gritty British spy series, Callan, who sometimes performed assassinations.  In the 1980’s, Woodward swam to the U.S. to star in The Equalizer for four seasons.  His Robert McCall was quite similar to a retired Callan.  24 was a very popular, anti-terrorist, action-oriented series.  Most recently, Person of Interest was a science-fiction/spy series similar to The Prisoner in some ways.  Get Smart was the first spy/comedy tv series, and Archer is now a popular, spy/comedy, animated series.  There are many spy films, and many of those are based on previous tv series and are never as good as the original.
There is one fresh and new, spy video game character that offers a distinctive Halloween costume: Sam Fisher.  Sam Fisher is the central character in the Splinter Cell game series.  There are Splinter Cell books and a film is planned potentially starring Mad Max’s Tom Hardy.  Sam Fisher is more athletic than James Bond, and mainly performs special operations for a subdivision of the NSA.  His ninja-like methods are reinforced by his gadgets.  He uses a light meter to stay in shadows and wears distinctive night-vision goggles with his trademark three green glowing lenses.  Sam Fisher typically wears high-tech black bodysuits and creeps about using lethal force on high-stakes missions.  Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is the best game in the series, and it features a really great soundtrack by Amon Tobin.  I expect that in the future Sam Fisher will be much more well known after the film is made, and he will provide popular Halloween costumes.
There is one great, non-fiction, spy tv series, Reilly: Ace of Spies starring Sam Neill.  Reilly: Ace of Spies is a 1983 mini-series consisting of twelve episodes that followed the life of the real spy that inspired Ian Fleming to create James Bond.  The spy was named Sidney Reilly, but his original name is believed to be Sigmund Rosenblum (see center photo).  He was born in Russia, faked his own death as a young teenager, stowed away on a ship to Brazil, and soon ended up meeting British spies.  He ended up working for the British Secret Service, and went undercover in other countries for extended periods of time.  Reilly was utterly ruthless.  He once was sent to help another spy steal design plans, and he became the man’s roommate without telling him who he was.  He let the other spy be caught and die as Reilly left with the plans.  Reilly was a major factor in causing wars.  He tried to overthrow Lenin and set himself up as the head of Russia, and he got very close to achieving that to such an extent that he was listed in Russian history books as an enemy of the state.  He had no problem poisoning or even executing people.  Even Sam Neill, in his returned correspondence to me wrote that, “Reilly wasn’t such a good guy, really.”
Reilly went undercover, became a millionaire, and soon his identity was very fuzzy and even the British did not know if he was working for them.  He did not have any sort of regular employee-employer relationship with the British Secret Service anymore, and he became a force to be reckoned with.  He moved to the United States, met with captains of industry, and started his own private secret service organization.  Before WW2 broke out, Reilly disappeared.  It was believed that the Russians finally captured and executed him, but it never confirmed.  In fact, there is conjecture that he survived the 1930’s and remained a hidden manipulator of world events after his disappearance.  Maybe he was always working for Russia.  Even though spy costumes and tv series are fun, real spies live in a world of paranoia and tend to be dark figures that border on being villains.
Even a mask of Spy vs Spy from Mad Magazine is swell for Halloween.  But don’t just tie a black mask over your eyes and go as a criminal!  Take a chance, lead a life of danger, and dress up as a spy for Halloween!

Bible Arguments 10
By DeYtH Banger "You might object that the appearance of animal morality is just a thoughtless expression of an automatic instinct and that we could also give numerous examples of animals not caring about each other. But we could say the same thing about humans." - Dan Baker "Some people break into tears when they see cruelty to animals, and if you are like my sister-in-law Suzan, you will break into a rage..." - Dan Baker "We have many instincts—some nurturing, some violent—and they often conflict with each other. But Freud did not think the Id was moral in itself. He thought it was something for the Ego and Superego to control..." - Dan Baker "Daniel Dennett, in Freedom Evolves, writes that it makes no difference whether our moral impulses are evolved or learned. “[T]he theory that explains morality … should be neutral with regard to whether our moral attitudes, habits, preferences, and proclivities are a product of genes or culture.”" - Dan Baker "…think “instinct” is purely biological or a learned habit, or a combination of the two, it comes down to the same goal: the minimization of harm to biological organisms Craig Packer points out in his book Into Africa, that is because ‘we make it all up as we go along,’ whereas an ant has ‘every small instruction laid out in advance.’”13 Since none of the other animals have such a proportionately large and complicated brain, they are, as far as we know, unable to construct a formal moral philosophy, but this does not mean they lack altruism, empathy, or moral sentiments." - Dan Baker "We can think about other people thinking about us thinking about their thoughts. (This is sometimes called Theory of Mind.) We can deliberate, compare, anticipate, contrast, imagine, and prioritize. We can run “what if” scenarios. We can refrain from acting and wait for more information. (That is one of the functions of the frontal lobe, which checks our actions in social settings. It is what keeps you from burping loudly at a wedding or funeral, for example.) We can investigate, read, and ask for help. We can search our memories for consequences to similar situations, past lessons, previous mistakes." - Dan Baker "…of the Unconscious, show that very often we simply “know” what to do intuitively, without deliberation. A hunch can be a signal from your lower biological brain to your higher consciousness that something is wrong, though you can’t put it into words. Your “gut feeling” happens somewhere beneath your conscious awareness, but it is no less important than reason. Instincts are a huge advantage, but Gladwell and Gerzinger also give examples of gut feelings gone wrong. Animal instincts are valuable not because they are always right but because they were advantageous most of the time when they were being naturally selected. “I’m not a textbook player. I’m a gut player,” President George W. Bush told Bob Woodward about his disastrous decision to go to war in Iraq. Gut feelings can go horribly wrong sometimes—especially when they are prompted by religion rather than evidence—because they are firing in a different environment from which they originally evolved." - Dan Baker "Sometimes such actions result in two tragedies instead of one. Call for help. Don’t become a dead hero. Yet the fact that most of us have these automatic impulses to do good tells us something about our human nature.." - Dan Baker "Morality is not a code. It is a compass. A compass does not tell you where you are or where to go; it only shows you where north is. Think of north as the direction of less harm and south as more harm. If your actions are heading more to the north, then you are acting morally. Of course, you can’t always travel directly north—the terrain is often complicated and actions can conflict with each other, and you might have to detour east, west, or even south for a while—but if you intend your general path to go more northerly than southerly, your journey is moral. (No offense to my friends in Australia, Brazil, and South Africa! If you live below the equator, then head south." - Dan Baker "I]n no instance has a system in regard to religion been ever established, but for the purpose, as well as with the effect of its being made an instrument of intimidation, corruption, and delusion, for the support of depredation and oppression in the hands of governments.”" - Dan Baker "In his book The Moral Landscape, Sam Harris identifies the “well-being” of conscious creatures as the aim of morality. I think that is right. “Well-being” is perhaps a more positive way to characterize the harm principle, but it boils down to the same thing. All through Sam’s thoughtful book, when “well-being” is unpacked with real-life examples, they always involve the avoidance of some kind of harm or limitation. Well, you can’t be “well” if you are harmed." - Dan Barker "The third moral mind, on the right shoulder, is not located in dead ancestors or individual consciousness, but in the social agreements formed by the large tribe to which we belong. Remember that I am not suggesting that law is actually one of your own minds: in a democratic society, humanistic law is a result of a collective mind (including yours) that expresses itself as social expectation or obligation. Unless you live alone on one of the moons of Saturn, the laws you encounter come from somewhere other than your own conscious mind." - Dan Barker "They replace reason with faith. Reason shows us, for example, that there is nothing wrong with being gay, and if the bible says homosexuality is wrong, then the bible is wrong, not homosexuality. These people are free to have faith and live by their own rules. They are even welcome to try to persuade the rest of us to think like them, but in a secular society, they are not free to impose their theocratic beliefs on everyone else by law…" - Dan Barker "But I also know there are good reasons for the state to impose a law on how fast I drive on a road that is owned and used by all of us. I may not know all those reasons. They probably have to do with efficient traffic flow, public safety, and convenience. In the absence of a true emergency (such as rushing a heart attack victim to the hospital), I willingly surrender part of my moral decision-making to the collective mind of society..." - Dan Barker "What about stem-cell research, abortion rights, birth control, prostitution, polygamy, military draft, tax laws, nude beaches, animal leash laws, motorcycle helmet laws? What about laws based on religious principles? What sense does it make, for example, to outlaw same-sex marriage or a woman showing her face in public? Those religious laws are simply an attempt to legitimize primitive homophobia, sexism, and sectarian orthodoxy. A truly moral law would deal with such discrimination by aiming at the attackers, not the targets. When considering any law, I think we should simply ask, “What is the harm?” Bad laws increase harm. If following a law more often results in less harm, we can say it is a good law." - Dan Barker "I am going to break the law, and I want all of you to witness. The god of the bible, if he exists, is an evil, immoral, selfish, arrogant, jealous, brutal, bloodthirsty bully, and if he created hell, he can go to hell. I am not saying “God Damn It,” I am saying “Damn God.” There. I just broke the Third Commandment. I took the name of the Lord Your God in vain. Are you going to have me arrested for blasphemy…" - Dan Barker "Thomas Jefferson concluded that “Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.”20 It was originally a jumble of regional legal decisions based on common sense and precedent that roughly came together after a long evolution of trial and error. It is not based on written statutes but on the “survival of the fittest” ideas that had been naturally selected by experience. The prohibition of murder, for example, is (to this day in England) not based on “Thou shalt not kill” or any other statute, but on the legal decisions of ancestor judges amassed over time into a “common” understanding of how we should…" - Dan Barker "Look what happened with Harvard, originally a religious school founded by Calvinists to educate preachers (“dreading to leave an illiterate Ministry to the Churches”) that grew into a humanistic institution of liberal arts education. The seventeenth-century theocrats, at any rate, did not found the United States of America. It was a century and a half later when our actual founders, not wanting any part of the religious divisiveness of the earlier colonies, continued evolving into a secular democratic republic." - Dan Barker "The constitution arose naturally from a group of people struggling to be free of authority, not to submit to rules. American citizens are not subjects.22 We are a proudly rebellious people…" - Dan Barker "…In Losing Faith in Faith and Godless, I describe the shortcomings of theistic morality, which is based primarily on a might-makes-right mentality. With its threat of eternal torture, inept role models, and a cosmic dictator who is praise-hungry, angry, and violent, the bible offers an ethical system that reduces to the morality of a toddler who fears and flatters the father figure. In most religions, behavior is governed by rules, but in real life behavior should be governed by principles." - Dan Barker "…you don’t believe in God you have to be reminded of the punishment of the law? If you do believe in God you can simply say, “so help me, God,” and that is enough to warrant honesty. If you don’t believe in God, it is assumed you have less motive to tell the truth, the “pains and penalties of perjury” replacing the threat of “hell” to force you to be a good person." - Dan Baker

“White Is The New Black”
December 4, 2013 at 3:49am
As we get further into the heart of the music industry's big season, there have been some major developments. I've said it before and I'll say it again….."There is nothing new in music. History is destined to repeat itself." It seems that the new thing in music is the return of the white artist who does black music. Oh, we've seen glimmers of it over the past couple of decades. Artists like Vanilla Ice, Snow, Jeremy Jordan, Jon B, Joradn Hill, Teena Marie, Pink, Rita Ora, Anastacia, Fergie, Christina Aguilera and Lisa Stansfield are all good examples of "blue eyed Soul with Hip Hop". But I guess the mack of all daddies would be The King himself….Elvis.
When I was growing up, my grandmother hated Elvis Presley. She would tell me about an interview he gave where he said that "All a black man could do for him was shine his shoes". Ironic since his fame and fortune was built on the sound of the "Black Man". He sounded like a black man for his time and danced like one two. He was the ultimate taboo in the perfect package.
At the turn of the century there was a very unpolitical-term called "wiggers". Probably invented by some racist who didn't like the rise of Hip Hop in white suburbia. As the second Bush years became America's thorn in our side, the term sorta got lost in the shuffle as the Republican Party started organizing what would become the Tea Party and divided the country on Gay Rights. But it would seem that "The Return of The Wigger" is back with a vengeance!
If Lady GaGa is finding it hard to get her footing on the Billboard charts, it's probably because Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber are the new Elvises of our time. But the difference is that instead of white music companies and producers making the money off these artists, it's people like Pharrell Williams, Usher and Mike Will who are the pimps this time around.
GaGa's new album just dropped and even though it debuted at #1 it has quickly starting sliding down the charts. She still has a few tricks up her sleeves with tracks with R. Kelly, Too Short and Twista, but I don't think this will make her street creds as a R&B or Hip Hop artists will ring true. Artists like Enrique Iglesias and Joe Jonas have tried tracks with Hip Hop artists like Lil' Wayne and never even got played in the clubs.
Everyone is talking about Justin Bieber and his antics lately, but I am not surprised. The majority of African-American male Hip Hop artists come from broken homes where their fathers were not present. Justin comes from the same background. So, of course he finds similarities between himself and Juicy J or Lil' Twist. The combo of lots of money and too much time on his hands is proving to be his undoing of his career. Dave Chapelle used to a segment on his show called "When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong". It would seem to me that the Biebs would learn something from the reruns. Running around with his shirt off, spitting on fans from his hotel room, pissing in a bucket outside of the men's room at a fancy restaurant and being filmed in a brothel in Brazil by a prostitute sounds like some fucked up dare that a black rapper would give him as a test to see if he is down.
But try as he may, I don't think that all of his new "I'm Not A Kid Anymore" image attempts will even put a dent in the overnight makeover of Miley Cyrus. Like Madonna, no one can change their image with such precision as a woman. Miley can do whatever she wants and still survive any backlash. And it seems that today's white good girl gone black is chic. Her performance on the MTV Awards with Robin Thicke changed the Pop Game this year. Lady GaGa and Katy Perry can battle it out for their spots on the charts, but whatever Miley does for the next couple of months will cement her positions in Pop history. It's cool to be "black" right now. And I predict it will be for at least another year in the music industry. Kesha was pretty trashy with her image, but she wasn't a Disney Princess. Americans love to watch a good girl go bad.
For the past couple of months, I have been bombarded with requests for this downtempo Hip Hop track called "23". "Can you play the new Miley Cyrus?" they would ask with such urgency. The funny thing is that it is not her song at all. She is a feature on the track. It's actually credited to Mike Will Made It. Miley, Wiz Khalifa & Juicy J are just the voices on the track. So, it seems black artists and producers have decided to put their new friends out on the block (even though their backgrounds are very much like Drake's…….never "started from the bottom", but they're here).
Now, some would say that Eminem should be included in this list, but I say no. He and The Beastie Boys are definitely white Hip Hop artists, but I have never mistaken them for someone black. When I first heard "Physical Attraction" by Madonna, you could not tell me that she wasn't black. The production and the sound was purely 80's R&B. And Teena Marie was definitely a black woman if you were just listening and not watching her. Rick Astley's voice definitely could have been a black one, but the Stock, Aitken and Waterman production screamed that he was not! And my crushes on Jeremy Jordan and Jon B. were legendary!
But I think Justin Timberlake has found the balance between doing R&B music and still being considered "white". He's got a great voice and a great sensibility about fashion and projects. He's a good actor and comedian who does not seem to take himself too seriously (a mistake Bieber is making over and over again). And on the gay scene, Jason Walker is definitely the Rainbow version of Timberlake. His vocals on Quentin Harris' cover of After 7's "Can't Stop" he is serving up some southern style church gyrl riffs and falsetto. I actually wish the Gay Community would stand behind their openly gay artists like him, Colton Ford and Me'shell N'DegeOcello. If we don't support our own, who will? There some many great voices out there and most are brainwashed into the usual suspects of the Pop landscape.
So, when Sam Phillips signed Elvis back in 1954 a new formula was born and now it continues….just not the way it started backed then.
