Imagine Miles telling Hobie about Noir and how he's so funny and harmless and silly and stuff
Then Hobie goes on a mission with Noir and is like heh I guess Miles was right
Until Noir pulls out a gun and starts bustin shots at the enemy like it's normal. Like that's what Spidermen do
Green Goblin start flying and Noirs like 'Ive got this one fellas' Hobie turns around and my mans standing there with a tommy gun like

Chilling after beating up some nazis
Noir, whose very presence made the nonchalance Hobie was so used to a distant dream.
Those haunting greyscale eyes would often search Hobie's soul, craving one simple answer, on one simple question 'Who are we to each other?' Especially after Hobie's swollen lips once again would tenderly caress colorless wound on smashed knuckles.
Hobie's sigh would drift into the ether, laden with torment. The very contemplation stirred him in a manner he had no wish to experience. An exquisite pain, akin to the heady rush of anticipation one feels when about to step into the luminance of a debut concert. With a heart pulsating its deep symphony.

So Noir is from the 30s and he's SUPPEEER anti-fascist but he doesn't know anything about anti-capitalism cause you know WW2
So one day Hobie rocks up to HQ wearing a shirt that says 'Eat the Rich' and Noir is like ????????
He looks at Hobie and goes 'Cannibalism, fella?????'
And Hobie is like 'bruv THAT'S the message you gathered from that phrase????'
H: "It's a metaphor."
N: "What in the blazing days could that be a metaphor for?"
H: "Capitalism???????
Like Noir is on board he just doesn't want to eat people.

Hobie is not a romantic
noir on the other hand, was raised with the whole chivalry thing. I think he would do certain things for Hobie, like holding the door open for him or walking closer to the street. Paying for Hobie when they’re out (granted hobie’s currency would be different but—). It’s not that he doesn’t think Hobie can handle himself; it’s simply because he thinks Hobie deserves to be treated well. he doesn’t expect it from Hobie in return cause he knows it isn’t hobie’s thing. I don’t even think he wants it; he likes being the one to take care of him
hobie shows his affection through other means. making sure noir eats. Patching up his wounds, which heal slower than the others. hemming his clothes when they’re torn. he does it without asking; noir will come back to find the massive hole in his sweater stitched shut. little acts of service noir isn’t used to receiving that make him feel appreciated
