If you are on the East Coast and trying to figure out what all of these air quality warnings mean and what you should do, here is what the colors and corresponding AQI numbers mean. The updated AirNow map is at this link:

What's up gamers, over here in Western NY we got beautiful sickly yellow skies, a lovely haze, and a wonderful burning smell wafting through the air!
This is because eastern Canada (Quebec and Nova Scotia) is on fire at the moment. If you live in the northeastern US like me, PLEASE pay attention to the air quality warnings in your area!
I went out to take these pictures of the Funky Sky for my friends because I didn't think it was that bad, and I am now paying the price for my hubris; I am very dizzy, shaky, and tired now. (Then again I am disabled so the effects are likely worse for me LOL)
Stay indoors, and limit the outside activity you do need to do. I hope everyone stays safe, especially those in Canada who are most directly affected by this.

Thoughts going out to those in Quebec and those affected by the wildfires
If you live in an area affected, especially by the air quality, wear a mask when going outside and be safe, even if you don't have conditions- your lungs will thank you
If you live in the Quebec area, be safe- we're rooting for you
And if you don't know whats going on- there are Wildfires in Quebec and it's bad
Be safe all

We're under an air quality alert due to the Quebec wildfires, but I don't smell any smoke and it's not very hazy outside. (I'm surrounded by trees so it's difficult to see if the sky above me is hazy.)
Still taking the alert seriously. Fine particle pollution is not something to fuck with.

If it's this bad here, I can't even imagine what people in Québec are suffering through.

Here's the map for Québec province (there's other Wildfire in the other provinces too)
Red are the ones out of control
Green are the ones we're watching
Blue are the ones we control
Dark blue are the ones we are containing
Purple are the identified
The regions on the map are the ones who are at risk of starting wildfire (blue/green being the lowest one and orange/red the highest one)
The closest to me is the lowest red one (we're in the orange/green region)
Just, that one province. And the wildfire season is starting in the west...
That gonna be a hard one I think
Stay safe y'all
