Sometimes he wished he was half as fucking stupid as Ma liked to make him feel. If he’d been stupid, all of this would be easy; it’d just be living out a movie where all the characters looked a little too familiar, a little too much like you, and instead of having to pay to sit in a theater, you could just bask in the blood and guts for free. There’d be fear, sure, but there wouldn’t be any thinking. There wouldn’t be any guilt.
But Travis wasn’t stupid. Wasn’t even close. And because of that, he knew there was a simple solution to this whole goddamn mess.
He knew they could just kill Caleb and be done with it.
It felt like just another link in the endless chain of shit luck keeping them stuck on that land, miserable and exhausted. If it had been any of them, him or Chris or Bobby, he knew damn well what the marching orders would’ve been. Hell, he wasn’t innocent of that either - if he’d known shooting Chris clean between the eyes would’ve been enough to give the kids a shot at a normal life, there wouldn’t be even a moment of doubt, of hesitation. But as it was, Caleb had been the first, and God help him, he might’ve been able scrounge up the nerve to kill his own brother, but he couldn’t kill Caleb, not when he...reminded him so much of Chris.
There was no getting out of that loop of thought once it set in, and that only ever served to make it worse. It was like being just awake enough to know you were in a nightmare and things were about to get real, real bad; once those thoughts started coming, they just didn’t stop, not until the things he knew but tried to ignore burst their way out of his chest and throat to leave him sore as a skinned knee all over.
It was his job to keep those damn kids safe, because they were his family. His blood.
He’d kill his little brother in a heartbeat, if he had to. If the right person told him to.
Family was the most important thing in the world, and nothing - nothing - mattered half as much as doing right by them.
He could kill Bobby too, he thought. He wouldn’t be happy about it, and he’d be sorry for a long, long time, much longer than if it’d been Chris, but he could do it. Depended on who was giving the order.
It didn’t matter if it took ten years, twenty years, or a hundred and five: He was going to figure out how to get Caleb and Kaylee out of this. Out of the curse, out of the woods, out of the fucking house, out of the shadow that had fermented him and his brothers like the booze collecting dust down cellar.
Worst of all, he knew there would probably come a day where Ma got tired of it. The bullshit. The running around. She’d get tired of the house not being the way she wanted it, the mess of them not behaving the way she wanted, and if she snapped her fingers, Pa sure wouldn’t stop her. If that day came...when it came...he knew he would kill Caleb. He wouldn’t have any choice.
Because family, see...family was the most important thing in the world. You listened to your family. You did what they told you was best. And you sure as shit didn’t shit around questioning their motives when that order came down the pipes.
He wished he was stupid. He wished he was the moron Ma told him he was. If he had been...he wouldn’t have to admit how hollow all that shit rang.

Summary: After a rude comment from Queenie about the relationship between you and Madison, she brings down the blonde and make her feel like she truly isn’t good enough for you.
You were out grocery shopping with Cordelia, Zoe and Nan. It was around noon and Madison was by herself until you got back.
Madison curses herself for not going with you, because now she has to spend her time with her coven frenemy.
So, she walks towards the couch and snags the remote out of Queenie’s hand before sitting down. Changing the chanel because who’d wanna watch cooking shows at this hour.
“Hey! I was watching that.” Queenie snaps, already fed up with the blonde’s behavior. “Too bad, bitch. You should be thanking me, staring at the food on the television will only make you even more hungrier than usual.” Madison smirks as Queenie glares at her.
“You’re such a little bitch, Montgomery. How (Y/n), a kind soul, dates someone like you will forever be a mystery to this coven.” Madison frowns, did anyone in the coven think that about your guy’s relationship?
Her hand clenches around the remote and hot tears form at the brim of her eyes, but she won’t let them fall. Not in front of her. She stands up and throws the remote at the wall, essentially breaking it in two pieces and storms out the room. Ignoring Queenie’s yells for her to come back and fix the remote.
Her hands grow shaky as she rushes to your room, tears running down her face, ruining her mascara in the process.
It wasn’t the first time Madison had heard a comment about you and her, yet every time somebody made a remark about Madison being a bitch it upset her.
She would do anything for you. Maybe she isn’t good enough for you, she can’t help but think that Queenie is right.
She throws on one of your pink sweatshirts and slams the door shut with her magic, also locking it. Madison curls up into your bed and cries. Wishing for you to get back already.

About half an hour passed by and you, Cordelia, Zoe and Nan are back from shopping. You quickly help them put away the groceries and make your way around the house, looking for your beautiful girlfriend.
When you step into the sitting area, Queenie has an angry look on her face, playing any game on her phone that she can find interesting.
You step over the broken remote and talk to Queenie, “What happened?” Queenie scoffs, “Your stupid girlfriend happened. Walked down stairs snatched the remote out of my hand, handed me some insults, then got all pissy when I brought up how you are sweet and she isn’t. Threw the remote at me and ran.”
You narrow your eyes at Queenie. You knew how sensitive Madison was when other people talked about the obvious differences in your relationship.
Making your way upstairs, you knock on your door, “Madison. It’s me. Open the door.” You wait a few seconds, before Madison unlocks the door.
She doesn’t even bother glancing at you. You take in her appearance, Messed up makeup, puffy eyes and she’s wearing your sweatshirt. A sign of comfort.
“Oh Madi.” You mutter, laying underneath the covers with her. Facing your body towards her, she reluctantly turns towards you.
“You know, who cares if Queenie or Zoe or anyone really, has something to say about our relationship. In the end, we get to decide what’s best for us.” You brush some of her blond hair and tuck it behind her ear.
She smiles slightly and nods, “I just want to be the best version of myself for you. I get I can be bitchy, but I try.”
You kiss her lips, shortly. “I love you Madison. With your attitude, with your imperfections. I don’t want them. Only you.” Her once small smile turns into a bigger one, she cups your face and gives you little kisses all over.
“I love you so much (Y/n). I’d die for you.” She pulls you closer and rests her head on your chest, listening to your heart beating slowly. You continuously brush her hair softly with your fingers.
You both relish in the beautiful moment.

For Johnica Week, day 3: Arranged Marriage
Early 1900s, John Deacon's time to get married has come, and his mother accepted the offer of a local Polish family, their oldest daughter Veronica.
Sadly, neither John nor Veronica are ready to get married, and while he gets immediately struck by her, she doesn't seem to accept her fate yet.
My 3rd and last fic for Johnica week 🥰💕 I'm usually not a fan of arranged marriages but inspiration struck suddenly and I had a blast writing this 🥺 It has the first person POVs alternating between John and Veronica, I hope you'll like this fic even if it's so unusual for me! 🙏🏻✨️💕💕💕
