OSDDID community, please remember that, yes, most cases of DID are covert, but not all cases. I am an overt DID system, my alters act extremely different from me and this has repeatedly caused me issues throughout my whole life. It has made navigating this disorder extremely difficult for me and has made people other me a lot. People have almost called emergency services on me for how differently I start acting when certain alters front. I physically cannot hide my symptoms. My symptoms have always been pointed out by others and I was very much estranged from and bullied by people around me for it. Even teachers would badger me over my symptoms.

It gets really tiring and demotivating seeing people saying over and over that "DID is covert," "DID is hidden," "DID never makes itself known" when all my life my DID has been overt, has never been hidden, and has made itself known. It makes me feel like my existence is inconvenient to address because people want to feel better about their experiences. But what about my experiences? It makes me feel isolated from the community because people are constantly saying that my experience is not real which has driven me further and further away from OSDDID communities because there's such scorn for the idea that overt systems do exist.

You can absolutely acknowledge that OSDDID most of the time is covert and not spotted by others. A lot of people do end up figuring out symptoms purely on their own and others doubt their symptoms because they are not obvious enough, and that sucks. But please do not then assume your experience is the only one and that overt systems are some made up concept or that OSDDID is inherently covert. We do exist and we need a place within the community as well

I decided to unsub some GoW theory youtube channel.

A bit sad ‘cause I used to love their content sm, they did some great theories but after Raganrok…They always nitpicking or make jokes of Ironwood session being too long in their theory videos and it started to annoy me

Yes, they have right to say but it is so unnecessary in terms of theory video. I truly understand why they hate that session. Tbh I’m kinda felt that too while watching gameplay for the first time, but I be able to admire it later because of the narrative and characters. Like..come on! stop acting like it’s huge plague in GoW franchises. Atreus and Angrboda just want to have a good time. Just leave them alone!

And now I only have one good GoW theory channel left. So anyway, I would like to promote this guy. He’s very underrated. He did many great analysis and theories too.

god i joked about this with my mom earlier but i think i need to like. actually address it.

i don't think older generations understand just how fucked up gen z is. and not in a "gen z is an awful generation" or in a "heehee hoohoo all of gen z is mentally ill" way, in a genuine things are, across the board, wrong with gen z because of the things we are forced to see every moment of every day of our lives.

we are surrounded every day with every single crisis the world is facing. we are made to care about it, made to think we are bad people for not caring about and spreading news about every single crisis the world is facing. every moment of every day news about some crisis or another is staring us in the face, even in the places we turn to in an attempt to escape the realities of our lives.

older generations don't realize just how exhausting it is to deal with school, work, extracurriculars, and news 24/7. and yet they call us lazy when we find ourselves lying in bed doing nothing on the rare day we get off.

but genuinely, how do you expect us to react? how do you want us to feel when every other post is about the housing crisis, or the genocide of Natives in one country or another, or a revolution in france, or climate change, or another shitty ruling by POTUS, or new laws designed to silence us, or the war that is happening half a world away? how are we supposed to care about all of that when we have so little power to do anything to change it? most of us can't open a credit card, or vote, and some of us can't even drive yet. and yet at every turn, we're told that it's up to us to fix it.

most of us have resolved ourselves to the fact that we'll be paying for college until we drown at 50 years old due to lack of space above sea level.

so yeah idk be nice to teenagers we're going through a lot of unforseen struggles that older generations have no idea how to wrap their heads around

Another thing about eclipse

Ok, how come New Moon gets to be a different person, but this New Eclipse can’t?

Obviously he’s still a shitbag, and he seems to have most of his memories since he remembers Old Moon. Clearly something is going on with him and his memories. But at the same time, this is a new version of Eclipse. This one’s tired, exhausted, paranoid, and, let’s be real, probably suicidal. Nothing like his old version. The only thing they have in common is their common hatred towards Sun, Moon, and Solar. Hell, only eclipse hated Lunar, but this one said that he didn’t. His one goal was just to find who built him and he was desperate enough to contact the people he hates the most. So not to sound like an old maid amongst y'all but I've been reading a lot of fanfics lately involving SonAmy (because childhood nostalgia bby) and I couldn't help but notice that in a lot of them the way Sonic and Amy's relationship is written is kinda along the lines of:

Amy's only goal is chasing Sonic while Sonic wants absolutely nothing to do with her and avoids being around her at all costs.

Which depending on the fic could work really well in like the angst department and all that jazz. But I can't help but feel a little bit.....saddened that this is how their relationship is perceived especially back in the early 2000s of SonAmy fanfiction. Like there's so much more to these two than just Amy chasing Sonic and Sonic running away ya know?

Amy Rose while her dream is to marry Sonic, it's not the only thing that she literally strives for nor focuses on. Amy also strives to help her friends and loved ones, she strives to get stronger not only for them but for herself as well. She's a flirty, fun and bubbly person who loves to bake and chat with her friends and go on adventures and she daydreams of romance from time to time. She's also determined to do what's right and she follows her heart and puts everything she has into everything she does. She's a big sister to Cream and she's a kind hearted person who's always willing to give people a chance. Amy is so many things and in earlier works of fanfiction she's often times reduced to nothing more than a fangirl who's always chasing Sonic. It's kinda sad when it seems like that's all she's known for.

And then there's Sonic. Sonic's main goal is to go on adventures and save the world and protect his loved ones from evil as well as the innocents of the world. He doesn't really say much word wise in the feelings department yet his actions speak for him and his actions show that he loves his friends to death. He can be stubborn and hard headed and a bit rude yet underneath it is an introverted, and somewhat awkward, jokester dork who loves chili dogs and running and seeing the beautiful things that the world has to offer. He keeps his personal feelings to himself yet he's also willing to step out of that comfort zone if he really needs to. He's got a strong sense of justice and what's right and wrong and a sense of responsibility for those who he protects. He gets awkward around emotional stuff and tends to avoid a lot. Just like Amy, Sonic's many things and has so many parts to him that makes him who he is yet in the early days of fanfiction he's reduced to the boy who runs away from Amy and like with her it's also kinda sad.

And that's not the only thing but it's their relationship too in these things. There's so much more to their relationship than just girl chases boy while boy awkwardly runs away. Sonic and Amy's relationship is a complicated one, and it too is full of many things other than those details.

They're known to be rather close friends, and when things get tough they lean on each other just as they do with their other friends. They share an understanding of sorts when it comes to their relationship and friendship, with Amy being the one who's more vocal while Sonic is the one who's more in the actions department. They care deeply for each other and if I remember correctly in one game manual it's even stated that they're best friends just like Sonic and Tails are. So they like and get along with each other well enough to maintain that kind of friendship between them. It's the little things between them that shows how their relationship works and how complex and deep it is. Like for example Sonic X and Sonic Unleashed we see hints of their relationship and just how it works.

While Sonic doesn't show it often he does appreciate Amy and the things she does for him. Like in the beach episode of Sonic X when she'd made the lucky charm bracelet for him. While he didn't say it out loud it was quite clear in his expression that he was touched by her thoughtfulness in her gift to him. He's so touched in fact that he keeps the bracelet on his wrist underneath his glove so he doesn't lose it while adventuring. And during the battles in the show it's also again made clear how much he appreciates Amy's presence when he relies on her to have his back and in return she does the same. And then there's Sonic Unleashed where once again it's shown how much he appreciates the things she does when she comforts him about his werehog form and let's him know that he's still Sonic in her eyes.

It's that little reassurance that puts him more at ease with it. And then her believing in him even when it seems like it might be impossible. Her encouragement and confidence in him make him in a way feel more ready to take things on when you talk to her in the game.

And then there's Sonic Lost World where at the end of the game Amy sends him a final message before the connection is cut off. As soon as it's cut off Sonic gets instantly upset and somewhat panicky when he can't hear her or Knuckles anymore. It's obvious that he cares about her just like she cares about him, though whether it's romantic or platonic is completely up to us and only known to Sega themselves. Sonic and Amy are connected in a way and they would quite literally take on the world for each other just as they'd do for Tails, Knuckles, Cream and their other friends and loved ones.

It's just idk man it just makes me a little saddened knowing that there's so much to these two and back in the earlier days of fanfiction they were somewhat reduced to only the tiny parts of their actual personalities. Now side note I do enjoy these fanfics I've read and each one of them is a wonderful piece of fiction in their own ways, but I just wanted to talk about this one thing that I'd noticed while reading them.

I kinda hate those Rise Raph pics I drew where he's wearing pastel pink bows and such. Not from like... a stylistic standpoint cuz the Rise/2012 crossover one is pretty solid in that aspect... but because it feels very OOC to me.

I didnt draw those with the intent of Raph being in character, I drew them because Raph's my favorite turtle and I love pastel goth, pastel pink fashion aesthetics. I like lolita dresses, I have fuzzy bear overall shorts, etc. etc.

But like... now that I am aware of how so many people interpret Rise Raph's character as a parentified uwu boy, I can't help but look back on those drawings and cringe. Because like... he wouldn't really wear those in canon, and while Rise Raph is a sweetie, he's a loud one. Extroverted. Probably divebombs his brothers to wake them up, elbows first. Just like me fr.

Yeah yeah, who cares about whether or not I draw some turty wearing pastel clothing... but I care. Because I have analytical brainrot that I can't really turn off.

bruh why is everyone complaining about the photo event but not even mentioning the old photo event??? we had the same event back in 1.3 and I didn't see anyone complaining then. Like I get it we only had like a week and you had to consistently log in for it, but we also only had a week for the 1.3 photo event and I swear I saw no one complaining about it back then. On various occasions throughout season 3, May reminds someone that they’re not the only ones who care about Daisy. That she cares about Daisy. And every time, along with reminding others, she reminds herself. She’s finally allowed herself to care for and love Daisy like a daughter, and a lot of the team just don’t realize it, herself included. So when Daisy ends up infected by Hive, it all suddenly hits her. That Coulson and whoever aren’t the only ones who care. She cares, she cares so godamn much.
