Break my Heart Again
Sweet Pea x Y/N x Reggie (requested)
Break my Heart Again: FINNEAS
Warning: this displays a toxic poly!relationship and self hate, hints at an abusive relationship
I’m so sorry this took forever to post! Also the ending isn’t that fluffy but-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
could i request a poly! with pea, reggie & reader where pea is busy with a new, girl, serpent & reg is helping another girl for something & the reader feels jealous & neglected? angsty with a fluffy ending pls!! :)
Loud laughter echoes through your shared trailer, a sound that usually warms your heart. Yet, today, you only feel uneasy walking into you and your boyfriend's house. There's a motorcycle you've never seen parked outside, and a pair of woman's shoes that definitely don't belong to you.
Although your relationship is made out of three people, Reggie's the only one who resides on the Northside. In order to lessen the living costs, you and Sweet Pea decided to move into a trailer together shortly after the start of your relationship.
It always worked out, the three of you have never fought. Yes, you bickered very often. But that was inevitable when Reggie Mantle and Sweet Pea were anywhere near each other. Yet, you all knew you loved each other. Sure, things have been a bit tense recently, but you brushed it off as stress from school and Serpent things. But now you can't help but wonder if something else has been happening.
"Pea?" You nervously call out, slipping off your own shoes and coat. "Pea, are you home?" You can't help the small crack in your voice when you call his name.
When there's no response, you decide to venture a little further into the trailer, finally making it to the bedroom.
Taking a deep breath, you knock gently on the door. "Pea? Babe, are you okay?" Again, no response. Before you can knock again, the door flies open. You flinch back at the sound of the wood colliding with the wall.
"What?" Your eyes widen, shocked at the hostile acknowledgement directed towards you. "Are you going to say anything?" His tone becomes increasingly louder and aggressive.
"I-is everything okay?" You speak through tears, already feeling choked up. Sweet Pea nor Reggie have ever screamed at you the way he is now.
"Everything was okay. Before you decided to piss me off." The tall boy practically growls while rolling his eyes, before walking back into the room and plopping onto the bed. That's when you notice the girl.
She's laying comfortably on your side of the bed, holding your laptop.
As soon as Sweet Pea lays down, she snuggles closer to him, the pair already ignoring you again.
"Pea? Who is this?" The words come out cautiously, not wanting him to blow up again.
"Charlie." He answers simply, no other explanation coming with his introduction. He presses 'play' on the movie they were watching, and the pair immediately burst out in laughter again.
"Pea..." you try again, immediately regretting your decision when Sweet Pea huffs loudly and harshly slams your laptop shut.
"What? Can't you see we're doing something! What the hell is wrong with you?!" He rapidly begins approaching you, causing you to back away in panic.
Sweet Pea never hit you, or any of his past girlfriends, before, but he also never spoke to you in such a... hateful tone. Rather than striking you like you were expecting, he slams the door shut. You shake the shock from your body, before rushing to the front door to escape Pea's rage.
With nowhere else to go, you find yourself walking in the direction of your other boyfriend's house.
Hurriedly wiping the tears from your red face, you knock gently on the door.
"I got it!" Another feminine voice shouts, not sounding like his mom's or sister's. The door opens to reveal a beautiful, tall girl. She looks to be about your age, with curly brunette hair and seemingly perfect features. Just staring at her adds to your insecurities. "Hey! I don't think we've met, I'm Jennie!" Even her stupid name and personality are perfect.
"H-hi. I...I'm (Y/N)." You fail at matching her enthusiasm. "Is Reggie home?" You force yourself to ask.
"Yeah! I'll run in and get him!" She practically skips into the house, shortly returning with a smiling Reggie. Unfortunately, his smile falls the second he sees you.
"What are you doing here?" He rolls his eyes as he speaks.
"J-just missed you..." you mumble. "I didn't know you were busy, I'm sorry. I'll go..." you drag your feet down the stairs, wishing he'd even say bye in response, but all you get is the door slamming shut.
You begin dragging your feet down the road, unsure where to go now.
Instinctively, you find yourself in front of your best friend's house, Jughead Jones. You almost talk yourself out of knocking due to fear of annoying him too, but there's nowhere else to go.
You knock quietly, the door almost flying open right away.
"(Y/N)? Sweet Pea asked me to look out for you, is everything okay?" You stare at him confused, why would Sweet Pea care about me? "(Y/N)?" Him calling your name again snaps you out of your violent thoughts.
"Sorry! I was just... yeah everything's fine. Can I come in?" You blurt out. He nods uncertainly, but steps over to let you in. "Why did Sweet Pea ask to look out for me?"
"Something about you rushing out with his jacket? I don't know, but he sounded busy." He shrugs uncaring. You look down and notice you are wearing Sweet Pea's signature jacket. You sigh, realizing he doesn't actually care about you. He just needs his jacket. "Everything okay?" He seats himself on the couch, patting the spot next to him.
"Yeah..." you simply mumble, not wanting to get into details about your failing relationship.
"I don't think you'd be here if that was true." He dryly chuckles.
"It's whatever, Jug. Can I spend the night? Thanks." You get up quickly, wanting to avoid the conversation. You hear his delayed yes, but still make a beeline to his spare room.
"I know you don't want to talk, but maybe a date at Pop's with them would clear things up? The three of you should sit and talk." Jughead suggests, leaning on the door frame. You almost laugh at how well he's able to read any situation.
"You're right, I just don't feel like dealing with it right now. They're busy anyway."
"Busy? With what? Charlie?" Your eyes almost bug out of your head.
"You know Charlie?" You almost shout at him.
"Newest Serpent." Jughead states factually. "Sweet Pea threw a tantrum about initiation, got her in without doing the dance." He can't stop the eye roll that comes with his words, where you get chills from remembering your own initiation.
"Really? Do you know anything about her?"
"Not really, she's quiet though. I never really got a chance to speak to her." You release another sigh at his words.
"I bet she's nice. And pretty." A loud groan escapes your mouth following your rant. "Reggie has a new girl too, and she's perfect. I can't compete." Jughead smiles sadly, sitting next to you and hugging you close.
"You don't need to compete, (Y/N). You're perfect." You can't help but let your mood rise a bit after his words.
"You always know how to make me feel better, Juggie."
"Of course. Get some rest, alright? Talk to them tomorrow." He ruffles your hair messily, before leaving you alone with your thoughts.
You're able to sleep with your spirits lifted a little.
___________________________________________________________________________
The next day, the three of you decided to meet at Pop's for lunch.
You leave Jughead's with a heavy heart after he leaves a gentle kiss to your forehead, in a perfectly brotherly manner.
After the fairly short walk, you decide to get a booth, knowing they tend to arrive late.
You're hoping to get a fixed relationship out of the conversation.
However, you're met with surprise when you see four seated at a booth, instead of two like you were expecting.
Reggie, Sweet Pea, Charlie, and Jennie are all seated together.
You cautiously walk up to their table, unsure how to act.
"Hey (Y/N)!" Jennie says cheerfully. "We ordered fries for you!" She pushes a plate full of clearly half eaten fries in your direction. You still crack a little smile at the the effort.
"I... I just thought it was gonna be the three of us?" You ask weakly, still standing over their booth. Rather than a response from the two you came to meet, Jennie pops in again with a small gasp.
"I'm sorry! I didn't know we were intruding! Here, me and Charlie can grab another table!" Jennie goes to collect her stuff, before being stopped by Reggie.
"No, it's fine. I don't know why she's acting like that." Reggie rolls his eyes, Sweet Pea and Charlie still not even bothering to look at you.
"Reggie, it's really our fault. We should've known it was a date when you said (Y/N) was coming." The bright smile still doesn't leave her face.
"It's okay, sorry Jennie." You finally force yourself to speak. "I was just a little confused, I'll pull a chair over." You leave to find an empty chair, dragging it over to the head of the table. Yet, once you sit, the group resume in their previous conversation, excluding you. You just sit quietly, pushing your plate of fries around, having lost your appetite from the interaction.
"Alright, I think we're gonna head home." Reggie finally acknowledges you. Jennie and he begin collecting their stuff, leaving you unsure on what to do.
All you want to do is lay down on your own bed, maybe cry a little, and just go to sleep. But you don't know if Sweet Pea and Charlie are going to your trailer.
"Yeah, us too." Sweet Pea follows, stretching as he gets up from the booth.
"Pea? Are you going home?" You finally gather the courage to ask, holding your breath as you wait for a response.
"Why?" He snaps again, still not looking at you.
Does he hate me that much he can't even look at me?
"I... I do-don't want to bother y-you guys if yo-you're going ba-back to the trailer." You struggle to get the words out.
"Good, cause we are." He rolls his eyes again, shoving past you, Charlie closely following.
"Hey, (Y/N), Reggie and I were going to head back to my place. Would you want to come? We're probably watching a movie or something." She smiles sweetly at you, but you still let yourself be swayed by the look of disgust on Reggie's face.
"It's alright, but thank you for the offer." You mumble, staring at your torn up shoes.
"Are you sure? Don't you live with Sweet Pea? Where are you spending the night?"
"I'll figure it out, Jennie. But thank you for caring." You try to give her a genuine smile, but it doesn't reach your eyes.
"Alright, good night (Y/N)!" Her and Reggie leave you sitting alone in the chair you pulled over, once again not knowing where to go.
After a deep sigh and covering your face with your hands, you pull yourself up and let your feet guide you. Talking yourself out of bothering Jughead again, you decide to break into his father's office instead.
FP Jones barely uses it anyway, it's more of a storage room. But, lucky for you, there's a recliner big enough for you to spend the long night.
You sadly curl up on the chair, allowing yourself to shed a few tears, before calling it a night. _____________________________________________________________________
Unfortunately, a voice wakes you before your alarm goes off.
"Kid, what the hell are you doing?" You roll off the sofa in surprise, making eye contact with the owner of the office you broke into.
"Mr. Jones! Sorry! I was going to leave in the morning but I fell asleep... I'm so sorry. I'll clean everything up an-" he simply holds a hand up to silence you.
"Don't worry about it. You didn't even touch anything." You sigh in relief, feeling thankful for your close relationship with him. "But you are going to explain to me what you're doing in my office at the ass crack of dawn." He plops himself down on his office chair, scanning your disheveled appearance.
"I don't really wanna talk about it..." you mumble, trying to get out of the situation.
"Then you shouldn't have broken into my office. C'mon, spill." A deep sigh escapes your lips, before you finally nod in defeat.
"It's Sweet Pea and Reggie," your voice is barely audible, too embarrassed to properly speak to the gang leader about your relationship drama.
"They hurting you?" His posture immediately stiffens into a defensive stance, causing panic to course through you.
"No! Of course not! They'd never, Mr. Jones."
"Then what's the problem?"
"They've just been ignoring me, I guess." You mumble sadly.
"Charlie?" You hate how the Jones's know you so well. You're unable to hide any thought or problem from them.
"...yeah, and this other Northsider. Jennie. They're... perfect, Mr. Jones. And I'm not. I can't blame them." He responds to your self hate with a soft sigh, not knowing how to respond.
Teenage problems have changed a lot since he was growing up.
"Don't put yourself down like that, kid." FP replies with uncertainty, never really the best at advice. His dad would just smack him over the head and tell him to get his shit together.
"It's okay, Mr. Jones. I'll get going, thank you for letting me stay the night."
"Course, Charlie. My office is always open for you to break in to." You try to smile in response, but the smile doesn't reach your eyes. Then, you swiftly exit his office, still embarrassed from being caught in the first place.
You sigh to yourself, still so confused.
When did everything get so complicated?
_______________________________________________________
You walked over to Jughead's house again, still temporarily homeless. As always, he welcomes you happily, deciding to kill time by cuddling and watching a movie. Always unable to stay awake during movies, you feel your eyes drifting shut right after Jughead points out the most important part. Still, you rest your head fully on Jughead's shoulder and pull him a little closer.
"Hey, your phone's blowing up." He rasps, shaking you awake gently.  You thanked him softly, squinting as the light from your phone burned your eyes. You were shocked when you saw your phone practically flooded with texts from Sweet Pea and Reggie. "Who's it?" He slurs, tiredness obviously hindering his actions.
"Pea and Reg." You mumble, throwing your phone to the side.
"You're not responding?" He woke up a little more at the sound of the names causing you so much distress.
"No." You answer firmly, with no thought, just holding him tighter. Jughead releases a quiet laugh at your answer, but has no problem with accepting it.
They can wait.
________________________________________
Later that night, you finally forced yourself to answer their endless calls and texts. Your phone is filled with panicked texts and voicemails wondering where you disappeared to.
You roll over on the bed you decided to share with Jughead for the night, seeing he's still asleep. Not wanting to bother him, you slowly roll out of his bed, leaving him a note about your situation.
You call Sweet Pea, curious of his sudden care towards you.
"Hey," you're so shocked of him answering right away you forget to respond. "Babe?"
"Yea-Yeah! Hi!" You almost shout.
"Reg and I were wondering if you want to have a movie night? We haven't seen you in a while." You hold back a scoff, choosing to keep the air clear.
"O-okay. Can I come over now?" You ask weakly. You almost want to ask if Charlie and Jennie are going to be there, but you hold yourself back. You start walking in the direction of Reggie's house, assuming the movie night is hosted by him as usual. The walk isn't too long, maybe 15 minutes, and the weather was nice so you weren't complaining. You really did miss them.
"Of course. Meet us at Reggie's." Always a man of few words, you assume the conversation is over there. However, you bring the phone back to your ear when you hear them speak again.
"Hello?" But you go unanswered.
"I don't know, Reg. She's been getting on my nerves lately." You don't want to eavesdrop, but you're unable to help it. You know you should hang up, but your relationship has been on the verge of completely falling apart, and you'd do almost anything if it even gave you a chance at fixing it.
"(Y/N)? I know what you mean." You can almost hear the eye roll that came along with the agreement. "She's so clingy. It was cute at first, but I don't know if I can keep up."
"...we shouldn't make it too obvious though, right? We have been ignoring her recently, she doesn't deserve that." A gentle smile cracks through your face when you hear the little concern he has for you, but it quickly fades at the remembrance of their previous words.
"I mean, I guess." You can almost hear the shrug that comes with those words, Sweet Pea needs to maintain his careless persona.
Finally deciding you heard enough, you hang up and gather the courage to knock on the door.
"Coming!" Reggie's deep voice shouts. The door flies open quickly, his smiling face greeting you.
"Hi." You say quietly, genuinely not wanting to annoy them with the sound of your voice.
"Hey babe!" Reggie exclaims, coming closer to embrace you.
How can he be acting so normal?  You ask yourself.
"Hey." You utter another greeting, but trying to avoid his hug.
"Babe? Is everything okay?" Slipping off your shoes and dropping your bag neatly by the door, you respond with a gentle nod. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah. I just think I'm coming down with something..." your voice lowers in volume with every word, eyes drifting to stare at the floor.
"Really? Do you need tea? Medicine? PEA! Boil some hot water!" Reggie commands, coming closer to try and embrace you again, to which you back away quickly.
"No! It's okay!" You internally panic at the thought of bothering Sweet Pea with your needs. "I don't need anything, I'm fine." Reggie still stares at you uncertainty, but accepting the odd behavior.
"...okay, just let us know if you need anything. We missed you!" You only nod in response, trying to reduce the amount of times you speak to them in a day.
"Hi, sweetheart." Another deep voice sounds from behind you. You flinch at the sudden appearance, turning to face your other boyfriend. "You feeling okay?" Instead of allowing a gentle forehead kiss to happen, something that always helped you relax, you rapidly nod your head so he doesn't attempt to come closer than he already is.
"I'm fine." You squeak out again, walking past both of them to sit on the couch.
The pair share a suspicious look behind your back, before shrugging and coming to join you on the couch.
Sweet Pea beats Reggie to the spot next to you, immediately pulling you closer to him and attempting to cuddle with you. However, you hurriedly shove his arm off, moving to sit on the recliner positioned diagonal from the couch.
"I think I'm sick, I don't want to give you my virus." You make up on the spot, curling up in a ball in your seat.
"Babe, it's alright if you're sick. We don't care." Reggie approaches you slowly, placing his hands on the arms of the chair, caging you in so you can't run again. "It'll be more comfortable if you sit on the couch with us, come on."
"I just feel hot, Reggie. It's cooler over here." You mumble again, curling under the blanket draped over the recliner. He sends you an odd look, but shrugs when he realizes he's in a losing battle.
"Alright..." he takes a seat next to Sweet Pea, the pair sharing a blanket with their eyes glued to the movie playing. You smile sadly at the sight of them sitting together. They look... perfect. It only adds to how out of place you've been feeling lately. You sitting in the middle of them would just ruin the picture perfect image.
Another gentle sigh escapes you, but you try to focus on the movie instead of them.
"Hey, babe, don't you like that actor?" Reggie asks, but you just nod stiffly, not even sure what or who they're talking about. You've long since zoned out of the movie, you wouldn't even be able to tell them the title if they asked. You miss the look they exchange, the only actors on the screen are from an infomercial about adult diapers. Something's clearly wrong with you.
"Okay, do we need to talk about something?" Sweet Pea finally cuts through the awkwardness, turning the TV off. "You're acting weirder than normal." He directs towards you, but you still refuse to make eye contact.
"No." A short answer, still trying to not talk around them.
"(Y/N), it'll be easier if you just talk to us." Reggie tries to urge you into speaking. You finally lift your head up, looking rapidly between the two of them. "You know you can tell us anything." He smiles softly, trying to ease you into speaking. You shut your eyes tightly, before taking a deep breath.
"I think we should break up." You finally blurt out without thinking. The two boys' mouths widen in shock, not fully comprehending your words.
"Break up? Why?" Sweet Pea can't stop the anger flooding into his tone from your impulsive suggestion.
"Just... because." You mutter, not knowing how to vocalize your thoughts from the last month.
"Sweetie, we're gonna need more than a 'because' if you want to break up." Sweet Pea's naturally condescending tone makes you feel even worse about the situation.
"I-I don't know." You stupidly say, opting to stare at your hands.
"You don't know?" He stands up suddenly, rapidly walking towards you.
"Pea, calm down." Reggie snaps, blocking your body from Sweet Pea. "We're going to sit down and have a calm conversation, does that work for everyone?" You just nod, Sweet Pea rolling his eyes in anger.
"Whatever." He grumbles, sitting down in his previous seat on the couch.
"Baby, you have to have a reason." Reggie tries again.
"I just don't want to bother you anymore..." you mutter, tearing up slightly.
"Bother us?" Sweet Pea's tone softens slightly, but he's still in a slightly defensive stance.
"I mean... you guys have new people now." You chuckle slightly. "You don't really need me anymore. We haven't even talked in at least a month. You're all so happy with Jennie and Charlie, I don't want to be in the middle of it anymore." They stare at you in what you're assuming is anger. "I'll just go guys. I'm sorry for ruining your night." You get up quickly, making a beeline for the door. However, both of the men stop you, Sweet Pea picking you up and gently placing you back on the couch. You're surprised to see the tears in his eyes.
"Baby... baby we're so sorry." He cries into your shoulder, causing your own tears to fall.
"No, don't say sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't better for you." You choke out through sobs.
"That's not true." Reggie rasps, tears flooding his own eyes. The three of you sit huddled together on the couch, unable to speak anymore through the never ending sobs.
"We love you, baby." Sweet Pea finally breaks the silence, pressing a small kiss to her cheek after wiping her tears.
"We love you so much." Reggie adds, squeezing the both of you tighter. Their hearts break when they hear your little sobs and Sweet Pea goes to wipe your tears.
"Can we fix this?" You finally force yourself to ask, still not able to see a solution within the love they're giving you.
"Of course!" Reggie and Sweet Pea exclaim loudly.
"We'll do whatever we need to make up for it." Reggie tearfully promises, kissing your forehead.
You feel nothing but love being in their arms in this moment, but something doesn't feel right still.
You still have so many questions.
"But... why were you so mean?" In any other scenario, the boys would have swooned at how adorable your childlike tone came off. Yet, it only breaks their heart more. It's another reminder at how badly they messed up.
"I don't know, baby. I-"
"That's not good enough!" They also jump away in shock at your sudden outburst. Your voice hardly ever went past a gentle whisper. "I- you all made me feel worthless! I spent this past month wondering what I did wrong and I couldn't even go home because you and Charlie were always in our room! I need more than an I don't know." Your anger is radiating off of you, but you can only feel proud at finally standing up for yourself. But they just stare at you blankly. "If you don't have an answer, I'm going to go back to Jug's house until you know what you want from me."
"No, let's just sit and-"
"I waited a month, Reggie. I need an answer now."
"Honestly, we don't have one." Sweet Pea bluntly states. "I know you want an explanation and reasons, but we can't give you one. But we can give you a promise to never let it happen again. Hell, we won't even need to contact Charlie or Jennie ever again," Reggie nods in agreement, "so, can we try again?"
"Yeah, we're so sorry, baby." Reggie chimes in. "We love you more than anything and I can't believe how badly we messed up. Just give us a second chance, baby? Please?"
You know you shouldn't. Everything is screaming at you to run away back to your safety and forget about them, let them be happy with their new girls.
But... the amount of love in their eyes right now makes it hard to doubt their truthfulness.
"Okay." You mumble weakly. "Okay. Let's try again." You're suddenly tackled by two large figures, the three of you collapsing onto the couch. They start peppering every inch of your face and neck in kisses, causing giggles to erupt from all of you.
You suddenly feel like you won't regret this decision.

Bad Guy
Pt.1 (?)
(Gif not mine)
Tumblr media
Betty and Veronica walked down the school hallway at lunch break, looking for the third girl in their friend group. They exchanged looks, not looking forward to the conversation the had to have with you. It's not easy to tell your best friend that the guy she'd been head over heels for is actually with her for some lame points from his lame friends.
The spotted you, putting your books away so you could go to lunch. With quick steps they caught up with you just after you closed your locker, hiding the pictures you had with them and Reggie, your boyfriend.
"Hey y/n, is it okay if we have lunch outside? We have to talk to you about something" Betty started with a sympathetic smile painted on her face. Ronnie looked at you the same way, but only nodded to the blonde's proposal.
"Sure, I guess" you looked at them with sceptical eyes, "is everything okay though? You are kinda scarring me".
The three of you made your way outside, and sat under a shade of a big tree. "Baby, we have some bad news about Mantle" Veronica spoke for the first time, "and I'm afraid that there is no easy way to say this".
You looked at her with a confused expression but before you could question what this was all about, Betty cut in, finally saying something that you had to know, about your relationship.
"We talked with Ethel, the girl that got bullied by Chuck. We discovered that he and his friends, incuding Reggie, have a 'playbook' where they write the names of girls in the school and then try to get to them, only to earn points by their friends and make fun of the girls", she exhaled, "we broke into school last night and found the book".
Veronica continued after taking my hand in hers and looking into my eyes. "I'm so sorry baby, your name is in the book, next to Reggie's".
All emotion drained from your face, putting on a strong mask even though it was your most trusted friends you have infront of you.
Your hand stilled and your body tensed. After some minutes you slowly got up and after uttering an 'I would like to be alone please' you never even bothered to look back, only walking towards your car that drove you to your home.
The trip from school to your bed was something you never registered in your mind. You only knew the girls tried to stop you but eventually gave up, aknowledging your need to be alone and let the fact that the guy you liked so much only dated you for some points settle in.
Sleep overtook you, after hours of crying, and you welcomed it like an old friend after an emotianally exhausting day.
--
Knocks on your bedroom window woke you up from your sleep. They were persistent and were getting louder by the second. Checking the time from your alarm clock you did a double take, the bright green letters reading 8:46 in the afternoon.
Now you knew who would be the only person knocking on your window at this time, but since you weren't sure how to face him after what you learned earlier in the day, you kept your windows locked and opted to text him a simple 'please stop'.
'Baby, talk to me' and 'what's wrong' were his replies that came immediately after you send the text.
The pebbles stopped but your phone buzzed without break for at least 5 minutes. Then only once and then never again in the evening.
You knew ignoring him would only make things worse. Things like this should be talked out between two people. But right now, the only thing you could do is think about your girls, and how you needed them at the moment. So you called them both, and asked them to bring ice cream with.
B and V were at your doorstep in a quarter and from that moment a marathon of stress eating, crying and watching sappy movies started and ended with your friends sleeping over, your parents not even questioning it anymore.
--
You walked into school the next morning, the sun shining as if mocking you and your misery. Ronnie had decided that waking up early in the morning, having a good breakfast and actually putting some effort in your outfit was a good start for such a difficult day.
It worked for a while, but now that you run into your boyfriend (?) at the school halway, there wasn't much a nice skirt and a pretty top could do to help you.
Reggie looked like he didn't sleep at all last night, and honestly, you didn't know how that made you feel. You cared about the boy, even when he broke your heart.
His face brightened up when he spotted you in the crowd though, and he made his way to you in big strides.
"Hi princess, I missed you yesterday" he said with a questioning look in his orbs.
Ignoring his greeting you got straight to the point, "we need to talk, Reggie, but I don't want to do this here" you looked around.
A frown took over his face, an even more worried look evident in the way he spoke. "Do you want to skip first period with me then?" He asked and reached a hand out, waiting for you to link your fingers together. But you didn't and it only made him more upset.
"Yes, let's go to Pop's" you noded and turned towards the exit, ignoring his palm that reached for yours.
He drove and the car that was once filled with music and off-tune singing was silent and the atmoshaire was gloomy. By now, Reggie wrecked his brain for something that had happened the last weeks that could lead to this situation but he came up with nothing.
You opened the door to Pop's, the bell ringing over your body and you slidded into a booth in the almost empty diner.
"Okay baby, I have to know what's going on, you are worriyng me so much right now" he pleaded and looked at you with sad eyes.
"I know about the playbook" you replied at first and when he didn't respond you specified, "I know I'm worth 8 points for your game" you said you said in between sharp breaths, at this point barely keeping it together.
Reggie took a deep breath, obviously trying to respont to the reveal. It seemed like nothing he tried to say made sence so he decided to wing it, to tell you the truth that you deserve.
"Y/n I want you to look into my eyes when I say this okay?"
"I don't think there's really anything to say Reg-"
"Just this once, okay baby?" He insisted and you just signed, letting him continue. "I know how this sounds, I do. But it was a stupid thing between us guys that never made sence but we did it anyway to make ourselves feel good and to climb the social ladder" he scoffed and turned his gaze, as if recalling the time they agreed on making the damned book.
"I had a big crush on you for about some time before I actually approached you and that was the reason I faught to write my name next to yours instead of Chuck".
You had a whiplash at this new information, the sock evident in your expression, "Wait, did Chuck Clayton actually want to use me as he did Ethel and those poor girls?"
"Yes, he and I haven't been on great terms since that argument" he confirmed.
"Please, continue".
He sighed, "I got to put my name next to yours on the book, but it served as a push for me to finally make a move, I swear," he locked eyes with me, "You have to believe me, darling, these past months with you were the best I have ever had with someone" Reggie confessed.
But that was your breaking point. How dare he turn this around on you? How dare he lie more than he already had?
"That's the thing, Mantle, I don't have to believe anything that comes out of those lips" you looked at him dead in the eye for a moment and then grabbed your bag and got up.
"You're not a bad boy, Reggie," you looked at him one last time before walking out the door of the shop.
"You're a bad guy".

The Emerald Spring Hotel. (Sweet Pea x OC.)
Tumblr media
Summary: When seven strangers find themselves at the same hotel, they’re all desperate to hide their dark secrets.
Word Count: 1,079
Gif not mine. Requests are open!
Warnings: None?
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The atrocities that took place at The Emerald Spring Hotel are too vulgar to talk about. Acts so purely evil that nobody could comprehend what had happened. To this day, officers still don't know the full story, and most likely never will. Nor do they know the motivations of those involved. Was it simply a bloodthirsty desire? Or something more sinister?
Two Years Ago.
Smoothing out any creases from my red velvet dress, I stare at the beaming lights of the hotel. It's supposed to be welcoming, inviting. Though with the violent storm paired with my reason for being here, it's anything but welcoming.
Sliding a knife into my left boot, I make sure to be prepared. Prepared for whatever is to come. Father always told me to be on my toes. Never let your guard down. It could cost you your life.
Opening the large glass doors, I step into the main foyer of the hotel. The jukebox in the corner of the room is belting an Elvis Presley song, his voice echoes around the otherwise silent room. Nobody is in sight, which ultimately makes me suspicious. What kind of hotel doesn't have staff on hand at all times?
Curiously I begin to wander around the open plan room. Everything is perfect, left precisely as it should be. Brushing my hand over the countertop, I find myself peering over the other side. Almost as if there might be hiding on that side.
The click of a door closing catches my attention, my hand ready to grab the knife. Turning to face the entrance, I spot a young man struggling to carry his suitcases. Dark hair sopping wet underneath his hat. I have to say it is a peculiar hat, in the shape of a crown if I'm not mistaken.
When he's finally managed to place everything on the floor in a jumbled mess, he spots me silently watching him. His facial expression doesn't change when he sees me, the same emotionless scowl stays put. Walking towards the counter, he glances over my outfit. Red dress and combat boots, strange combintation but it works for me.
"Where's the staff?" He asks, clearly unimpressed by the lack of service.
I shrug, glancing around the room at the sixties design. No doubt this hotel was probably built in the sixties. After all the fine layer of dust on each bookshelf suggests the place hasn't been cleaned in a while. Presumably due to lack of visitors.
Hearing a sigh leave the stranger's mouth, I watch as he begins to press on the bell quickly and impatiently. His fingers are long and bony, they look like they aren't used to manual labour. My intuition is telling me he's a writer or something along those lines. His entire appearance screams 'I don't care what you think'.
"Sorry to have kept you waiting. There was.. an incident that needed to be taken care of."
The girl behind the counter is pretty, insanely pretty. She's dressed in a cute, blue rockabilly dress paired with a matching headband. Her bushy, afro hair is pulled up into a top knot that looks a little too perfect. Like everything else here, she seems unrealistically perfect.
"I'm Josie, the manager here at The Emerald Spring Hotel." She tells us, her voice sweet like candy, yet my gut is still telling me something isn't right about her.
Before I get the chance to ask her any questions about the hotel and lack of staff the foyer door opens once more. A man dressed in leather and flannel enters, looking equally moody yet bored. His black strands of hair are like pools of the finest ink, pushed out of his face. The mysterious figure's eyes match his hair, as black as dugouts, no emotion at all.
"I need a room." He states, not paying any attention to anybody but Josie.
She looks bewildered by his appearance, clearly it isn't common for somebody dressed like him to appear in this hotel. Nervously, her eyes dart towards me and the writer. Unsure what we will think if she gives this man a room before us.
"I'm sorry sir, you'll have to wait your turn." She says, voice trembling with fear.
The man gives out a frustrated sigh, but nonetheless waits for the two of us to book rooms first. My eyes flick over to the writer, waiting for him to pick a room. His eyes are glued to the map of the hotel, deciding which room would be best.
"Room six."
Placing his money on the countertop, he snatches up the key before Josie can say anymore. I stand in disbelief at his rudeness, snickering slightly as he struggles to handle all of his suitcases.
"Room ten please." I tell Josie, handing her my money.
She smiles gratefully, handing me the key. As I turn to leave, I notice yet another figure stood by the grand, glass windows. Obviously she arrived without alerting any of us. Despite having her back to me I can still see her scarlet locks running down her back like a bloody waterfall. Sunglasses are perched on top of her head and in the reflection of the glass I notice her red lipped smile as she catches my gaze.
"It's rude to stare." She giggles, heels clicking against the hard wood floor as she turns to face me.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to. I never heard you enter, that's all."
The words seem to fall out of my mouth before I realise what I'm saying. Her prescence makes me nervous and whether that's because of her powerful prescene of simply because of her beauty, I'm not too sure.
Chestnut orbs glance from me to the man leant against the counter. He has the key to his room in his hands but much like me, he makes no effort to move. Clearly drawn in by this girl.
"I'm Cheryl Blossom. Now if you don't mind, I have urgent matters to attend to." She states, gliding gracefully past us both.
Both me and the tall, dark and handsome man stare at each other, no doubt thinking the same thing. What have we gotten ourselves into? Staying at The Emerald Spring Hotel wasn't supposed to be fun. Not to mention have this many good looking people all in one place. Now I can only ask myself one question. Will I be able to follow through with what I was sent here to do?

READ CHAPTER TWENTY ABOVE ON A03
PREVIEW:
Letting his legs crumple below him, he shoved his hand back into his pocket to fish for the half-finished stick of Jingle Jangle. He was already too far gone, too drunk and high all at once, but he needed more, needed to unsee her smile.
Before he could lift it to his lips, though, a soft hand curled around his wrist.
“Reggie, stop.”
He was dreaming—he had to be.  He’d dreamt about it enough, her coming back.
“Reggie, can you hear me?” her voice was worried, urgent.  She slipped the Jingle Jangle out of his grasp, moving her cold hand to his face to hold his head upright. “Reggie, say something, please.”
“I’m dreaming,” he replied, his words slurring. “I have to be dreaming.”
She sighed, and he heard the sound of rustling fabric. “Fuck, Reggie, what are you doing?”
He blinked hard, his vision clearing slightly. “Lydia?”
“Yeah, Reg, it’s me. Are you okay?”

Second Chances ♔ fangs fogarty x reader
Tumblr media
*gif not mine
Request from @laurastrutz: Can you do a imagine where the reader is sweet pea’s sister and she’s dating fangs and she’s pregnant when fangs gets shot and fangs knows but sweet pea doesn't know she’s pregnant and maybe she  has little bump please thanks
A/N: I changed it up a little bit but I really hope you like it!❤️ also this is my first time writing for Fangs and i was a little hesitant to post... i hope it’s good!
Warning(s): cursing, violence, hella angsty if you ask me
Word Count: 1,174
SOUTHSIDE SERPENT FANGS FOGARTY ARRESTED FOR MURDER!
(Y/N) read the newspaper heading over and over again and didn’t believe it. There was absolutely no way her amazing boyfriend could have murdered someone. And Midge Klump at that! (Y/N) figured that her boyfriend had never even spoken to this girl, and she was enraged at the assumption.
She stormed into her brother’s trailer. She found him sitting on the couch with his head in his hands.
“Sweet Pea?” she asked tentatively.
“(Y/N), thank god you’re okay.” He gathered her in his arms and kissed the top of her head.
“Sweets, I don’t understand. Why the hell would they arrest Fangs for this? He doesn’t even know Midge!” She shoved the newspaper article in her brother’s face. Sweet Pea swallowed and attempted to calm (Y/N) down.
“It’s gonna be okay, (Y/N/N),” he whispered. She jumped at his touch.
“There’s no way in hell that this is gonna be okay!” she yelled. Sweet Pea hugged her again as she began to cry. “I’m going down to the station to see him,” she decided. And before Sweet Pea could stop her, she was on her motorcycle driving away.
She pushed her way into the Sheriff’s Station and walked up to Sheriff Minetta.
“Can I ask what you’re here for?” the newly appointed sheriff asked.
“I’m here to see Fangs. Fangs Fogarty.” Sheriff Minetta nodded slowly and led her to his cell. Fangs’s face immediately lit up at the sight of his girlfriend.
“(Y/N)! I’m so happy to see you!” he said as he ran to the bars of his cell.
“Why are you here, Fangs? What evidence to they have to put you here?”
“He was seen in Midge Klump’s dressing room for the school musical about an hour before the murder. He was the last person to see or talk to her,” Sheriff Minetta interjected. (Y/N) spun on her heel to look him in the eyes.
“And why, you bastard, does that convince you that Fangs killed her?”
“It’s been confirmed that Ms. Klump and Mr. Fogarty were sexually involved before her death. The fact that she had a boyfriend could have been a motive.” Sheriff Minetta left after revealing the truth to (Y/N).
“Fangs... is he telling me the truth? Did you sleep with Midge?”
“I’m sorry, (Y/N). I never meant for you to find out like that!” he said, trying to console her.
“How many times?” “What?”
“How many times did you fuck her, dammit!” (Y/N) screamed. She was sure the whole station could hear her.
“It only happened once, (Y/N), I promise. It never happened again!” he said. “Please, (Y/N), you have to understand that it didn’t mean anything.” Before (Y/N) could respond, Sheriff Minetta came back in.
“Sorry to interrupt, but congratulations, Mr. Fogarty, you’re being released tonight.” Both (Y/N) and Fangs were too shocked to say anything.
The night arrived slowly, and even though she was upset, Sweet Pea convinced (Y/N) to be there when Fangs was released. The sheriff had warned them that there was a good chance Fangs wouldn’t make it out alive, considering half the town was still convinced he was the murderer. Jughead had formulated a plan to surround Fangs with other Serpents in order to block him off from everyone else. (Y/N) wanted to help, but Sweet Pea insisted that she stay outside until they got Fangs out for her safety.
She watched alongside some of the other Serpents as Sweet Pea, Jughead, FP,  and Toni protected Fangs from the Northsiders crowded around the station, demanded his re-arrest. She noticed something peculiar, Reggie Mantle walking towards Fangs with his hand stuffed in his jacket. She ran to Reggie when she realized he was holding a gun and stopped him from walking any further.
“Out of my way, (Y/N)!” He tried to shove past her, but she stood her ground.
“Reggie do you realize what you’re about to do? Fangs didn’t kill Midge! And if you kill him, you’re gonna end up in a worse place that he would have,” (Y/N) stated. Reggie grunted in response. She put her hands on his shoulders and held him in place. She continued to plead with him until she noticed someone else. “Reggie?”
“What?”
“Mrs. Klump has a gun.”
Reggie had barely enough time to grab (Y/N) by the waist and pull her out of the line of fire before the gunshot went off. (Y/N) turned around and saw Fangs standing with a bullet hole in his stomach. She ran to him as he crashed to the ground.
“Fangs, baby, stay with me,” she begged. She heard Jughead call an ambulance, but she was too focused on her fallen boyfriend to care about anything else. “Please baby, you can’t die on me now. Not when you’re gonna be a father soon.” “A... father?” Fangs mumbled. (Y/N) nodded. She pressed her lips to his forehead as the medics came to take him to the hospital. Her mind was racing with thoughts of his infidelity, Mrs. Klump, and the baby growing in her belly. She knew that Fangs deserved a second chance, and she was determined to give him one, not for her sake, but for the sake of her baby.
The next few days were ones of sadness. The Serpents had been informed by FP that Fangs had died in the hospital. Sweet Pea and Jughead had begun to plan for his funeral when FP called them to his trailer.
When they got there, they were surprised at the people they saw standing in the living room. FP was standing next to Joaquin DeSantos and they were especially shocked to see Fangs and (Y/N) sitting hand in hand on the couch.
“What the hell is going on, Dad?” Jughead asked.
“Fangs.... you alive!” Sweet Pea exclaimed. He ran to his friend and hugged him tightly.
“You two can’t tell anyone about this. For Fangs and (Y/N)’s safety. And for the little one.” FP gestured towards (Y/N)’s slightly swollen belly.
“Wait, the little one?” Sweet Pea asked. (Y/N) nodded.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, Sweets, but Fangs and I thought it was best if we figured out what to do first.”
“And what are you gonna do?” Jughead asked. Joaquin spoke up.
“I’m getting them out of town. There’s room in the safe house I’ve been staying in near the Canadian border. Fangs and (Y/N) can stay there at least until the baby’s born.” (Y/N) consoled her brother on the thought of her leaving until he was somewhat okay with it. Jughead said his goodbyes to the couple and to Joaquin and FP saw them off.
Fangs had been given a second chance with (Y/N) and a second chance at life. Little did the people of Riverdale know that this was the last time anyone would ever see Fangs, (Y/N), or Joaquin, for if the Black Hood was targeting sinners, there were very few places an unwed mother, a cheating boyfriend, and a murder accomplice could go where he wouldn’t find them.

Three Months: Part 4
Tumblr media
Pairing: Nothing major right now, but Reggie x Reader, Twin!Andrews Word count: 1,452 Warnings: Mentions of sexual assault, unwanted pregnancy Description: This is the fourth part to the series. (Y/N) Andrews has to come clean about what’s been eating her up lately. How is everyone going to take it? ****A/N: I’m so sorry I accidentally posted on my personal account!! So here it is (again) in it’s correct place! Please let me know if there’s anything you guys want to see in this fic because I’m currently struggling with introducing everyone. I want to get to the good bits haha.
The Five Seasons // Part 1  // Part 2 // Part 3
The dusk light filling the living room was only growing darker as (Y/N)’s pacing continued. She knew it was best to get it over and done with. Although she felt like it may be the hardest thing she would ever have to say. She took a deep breath and finally halted, turning to face Fred and Archie on the couch. Fred honestly didn’t know what she was going to say. Although there was a long list of things he was hoping she wouldn’t say. (Y/N) looked to Archie for reassurance before screwing her eyes shut.
“I’m pregnant.” She breathed out, daring to open her eyes to see her dad’s reaction. He sat, stunned for a moment. Then he frowned and ran his hands over his face, letting out a quiet groan as he leaned back into the couch. “Please tell me you’re joking?” He didn’t know how to react. Every emotion and every question was buzzing around his mind. “Who’s the father?” He asked a little louder, his anger surfacing. (Y/N) hesitated as she studied her dad’s disappointed expression. “Veronica’s friend… Nick Saint-Clair.” She choked out, fiddling with her nails. “Ex-friend,” Archie added, trying to be supportive. “The fancy one that lives in New York?” Fred thought he was thankful that it wasn’t Reggie’s, but he knew Nick’s stay was brief. So this was obviously a one-night stand. (Y/N) only nodded, wringing her hands as she tried to figure out what her dad was thinking. “So you had a one night stand?” He shook his head, “And cheated on Reggie? I thought you were better than that.” Archie was about to speak when (Y/N) jumped in before him. “I know. I was drunk, and dumb. I’m sorry dad.” Her voice wavered as she tried to blink back the tears pooling yet again. Archie was horrified. She was trying to downplay this. Even still, as she was pregnant with her rapist’s child, she wasn’t going to tell her dad what really happened. “Yeah… me too.” Fred spoke quietly but the disappointment in his tone was strong. He shook his head again and got up from the couch, leaving the room. Neither of the Andrews twins moved after him. The slam of the front door indicated Fred’s departure into the night. “Why didn’t you tell him the truth?” Archie demanded once he knew it was safe to talk. Archie was furious his sister would rather throw herself under the bus and face the fury of her dad than be honest. (Y/N) dropped into the armchair and looked at Archie sadly. “I didn’t want to break his heart twice in one night.”
“Wait, so let me get this straight,” Veronica and Archie sat on his bed, abandoned guitar between them. They had been writing and practicing songs all morning for their upcoming school performance, but Veronica noticed Archie was off. He finally cracked and told her everything that had happened the previous night. Including the fact that their dad didn’t come back until late, and when he did, he smelt of beer and cigarettes. “She told your dad that she was pregnant, but failed to mention that it was a product of rape?” Archie just shrugged. Admittedly he struggled to use the word or refer to it. He didn’t like to think about what had happened. “That is so-“ Veronica struggled for a word, growing frustrated. “Bullshit.” Archie offered. She couldn’t find a better word herself, although it didn’t fully express how angry she felt about the situation. “Yeah.” She sighed, nodding in agreement. “Why is it that rapists go unaffected, while their victims are left to pick up the pieces?” Archie placed his hand on Veronica’s knee in support, but she pushed it off angrily. She gave him a look as if to say ‘no, I will not calm down’. She knew exactly what he was insinuating. Instead she stood and began to pace his room. “It’s just not fair. Nick raped your sister and she’s just going to let your dad believe she cheated on her boyfriend with a stranger. And she’s too precious to admit the truth, she’d rather take shit from your dad because she doesn’t want to upset anyone.” Veronica was ranting furiously, arms flailing about to reinforce her point. There was no knock at the door before it was forcefully swung open. Fred stood in the doorway, having overheard the whole conversation on his way to his room. Veronica looked at Archie guiltily, hoping he would handle the situation. She had never seen Fred so angry, and honestly, neither had Archie. “Are you…” Fred struggled for words, trying to keep his voice calm and his thoughts straight. “Dad,” Archie sighed, getting up from his bed and moving closer. “(Y/N)… she was raped.” There was no other way to put it. The word felt heavy and bitter in his mouth. He didn’t know how much detail he should divulge. How much his dad wanted to know. He agreed with his sister in way, he could hardly tell their dad the gritty details. How those panic attacks she was dealing with were related to that night. How she had tried to go through an abortion alone but panicked and changed her mind. How terrified she was to tell anyone out of fear she would be ridiculed and shamed. Fred’s jaw clenched along with his fists. Archie didn’t bother calling after him as he stormed down the stairs. It was the second time the front door had been slammed that week. “Sorry Arch.” Veronica mumbled softly, resting her hand on his arm. He turned and wrapped an arm around her. “No, at least he knows now.” He admitted, placing a kiss to Veronica’s forehead.
(Y/N) fiddled with her straw as Reggie babbled on about something across from her. Pop’s was fairly quiet that day, for which she was thankful. Her mind wandered, creating multiple scenarios that could arise from her telling Reggie the truth. They weren’t technically together. They had been on and off for two years, but they both cared about each other. He was furious when he found out about what Nick had done. If he hadn’t already have left town, (Y/N) was certain Reggie and Archie would have gone after him. “Are you even listening?” Reggie’s hand waving in front of her face snapped her back to reality. “Sorry,” She sighed, shaking her head. Reggie’s annoyed expression changed into concern as he reached for her hand across the table. “What’s going on?” He asked gently, his thumb rubbing over the soft skin on the back of her hand. “I-I’m pregnant…. three months pregnant.” She hesitated. Reggie’s grip on her hand tightened, his expression unreadable. She expected him to yell but he remained quiet. She watched his expression change, eyebrows furrowing and straightening as he thought. “Three months?” He finally asked, looking up at the terrified girl in front of him. She nodded silently. Reggie only sighed and shook his head. It wasn’t his. He wondered, for a moment, how he would have felt if it were. Excitement bubbled up in him at the idea, although he wouldn’t be ready, he felt he would make a great dad. The feeling of excitement was dulled as he reminded himself the baby wasn’t his. It was too much to take in. He loved (Y/N), but their relationship wasn’t stable. He wasn’t the best boyfriend and he was hardly what she needed right now. So he reacted in the only way he knew how, by withdrawing. “Can you please say something?” (Y/N) pleaded, his silence was too much for her. “I don’t want it.” Reggie shook his head, pulling his hand away from hers and leaning back in the booth. Her mouth hung open at his cold words. “You think I do?” Her voice cracked in shock as she asked. “Well why didn’t you deal with it?” She couldn’t believe how quickly Reggie had turned into this person she barely knew. His gaze was cold and unknowing, as if she were a stranger. As if they hadn’t spent the last two years sharing intimate thoughts and moments. He looked at her as if he hadn’t just added to her nightmare.   “I tried to. I couldn’t go through with it.” Her voice cracked as she let a few tears slide, quickly wiping them away, aware of the few people around them. Reggie just shook his head and stood. “It’s not my problem.” He dumped a few dollar bills on the table and stalked off, not even looking back at her as he left. He knew that if he did, his heart would break. He didn’t mean to upset the girl he really, truly loved.

Somehow your friends had dragged into the house raging with music, teenage hormones, alcohol and typical high school stupidity. You liked attending parties because they were fun but only when someone respecting women and men alike were throwing it. Not some wannabe lady killer with only his daddy as the reasoning behind his popularity.
It didn’t help that Chuck Clayton had sexual harrassed your childhood best friend creating a mess of emotions and a lawsuit. It was no secret that Dorothy, nicknamed Dot, was from a family financial unable to go throw a lawsuit and the humilation for their daughter. The next day Dot Smith and her family cleared their house and moved away. You hated Chuck for pushing your friend to leaving.
“Drink?” Jacy asked with sinister red painted lips. You sniffed the cup in question before taking it, Jacy knew what you drank and how keg beer was shitty tasting for you.
“Thanks.” You smiled, “Where’s Alexis?”
“With her crush. They’re so going to be together by July.”
“Everyone knows that but them. Cliche best friends blind to the others feelings.” You grinned happily.
“I heard the Blossoms will be here. I know how you and Jason are friendly.”
“I borrowed his pen once. Don’t go planning a wedding.” You giggled knowing that Jacy had wishes for you to get the guy, “Besides Cheryl would never approve of a low level Y/L/N dating her brother.”
“Sometimes I wonder about them.” Jacy hummed, “Well I’m going to go goggle Reggie shirtless in the pool. See you later!”
The next hour went with you mingling with people and drinking the cups your friends placed in your hands. By midnight you were a little past wasted with more alcohol coming and you didn’t notice the way your friends smiled to each other when they spotted Jason coming inside. Without Cheryl.
“Hey Jason! Y/N was looking for you earlier.” Jacy grinned towards the popular red head.
“Where is she?”
“Kitchen.”
Jason, following their directions, happened to walk in on Chuck beginning to approach you in the way he recognized quickly. There was a way to how Chuck changed when there was a female involved, he swaggered and oozed confidence. Jason was angry that Chuck set his eyes on a wasted female and more so that it was you.
“Hey Y/N.” Chuck smouldered leaning against the counter.
“Can I help you Clayton?”
“Yeah. I have a lump that needs to be looked at. I heard your mother was a nurse, I bet she passed on more than her gorgeous looks.”
“No thanks.” You grumbled blinking, “I don’t want any medical problems from you.”
“Come on Baby, don’t be like that.”
“Leave her alone Chuck.” Jason said walking towards you, “She said no.”
“I didn’t hear a distinct no. Butt out Blossom or you won’t be on the field.” Chuck glared.
“Threaten me and you’ll be the one running from town. Seeing as your sexual needs drove a girl from her hometown.” Jason glared, “Need I remind you who I am? Do you really want to threaten a Blossom?”
“Whatever. She isn’t worth it. Not enough ass or boobs on her for me.” Chuck grunted shoving his shoulder against a stone wall Jason.
He observed on you swayed on your feet barely able to focus your eyes on anything. Jason wasn’t known to go out of his way for people but it was different with you. The minute your gorgeous coloured eyes looked at him for a pen he was gone.
“Y/N, are you okay?” He questioned.
“Yeah. Are you a Blossom triplet?” You hiccuped confused. You swore he was familiar but also a stranger, “I once borrowed a pen from Jason. Man would I like to run my fingers through his ginger hair.”
“Really?” Jason grinned, “I’m sure he would enjoy that also.”
“Too bad everyone thinks he fucking his twin.” You chortled, “Really is a shame. I’d love to go out with him.”
“I would too.” He smiled avoiding even thinking about the first part of the sentence you spoke, “Maybe we should get you home.”
“Home is where the heart is. My home is many places. My parents, and Dot. But even Thornhill is like home because that’s where Jason lives.”
“Where is home exactly?” Jason questioned slipping his arm around your waist.
“Too many places. I’m tired.” You yawned slowly losing function of your body. Jason slid his other arm below your knees to swing you into his arms bridal style.
“Where do your parents live?”

“M’ tired.” You groaned slipping into an odd world of colours of reds and the Blossom mansion. Why you were dreaming of the place you weren’t sure of being the star of the dream wasn’t that bad.
Jason was at a loss when he saw most of the party had emptied out leaving passed out teenagers and the loud moaning from many rooms. He knew the book would have more entries and leering would happen but first he needed to help you. He had no information where you lived so he did the only think he could do.
Cheryl was with their parents in a neighbouring town for business leaving his home quiet except for his granny yelling at the maid. He carefully maneuvered you into his bedroom before turning the lock on his door and changing in the bathroom. He didn’t want to chance you waking up to see him naked.
He grabbed one of the unused pillows and a throw blanket that was more expensive that probably your wardrobe he slept on the floor. It was peaceful until he woke up to a scared yet quiet scream.
“What the hell?! Why am I here?” You yelled towards the sleeping lump on the floor.
“I saved you from Chuck last night and you passed out on me. You weren’t giving me your address and your friends left already. I brought you here to be safe.”
“No funny business?” You hesitated.
“None. I changed in the bathroom and slept on the floor all night.” Jason defended before pointing towards a tablet and water on the bedside table, “I brought you medicine and water.”
“Thank you.” You whispered, “For everything. For caring for me.”
“I’d like to care for you more. Would you like to get away from Riverdale and have a date? Where we can just be Jason and Y/N?”
“I’d like that.” You whispered blushing. Who would have thought that you two would end up on each other’s radar just by borrowing a pencil.
“How about some pancakes?” Jason questioned beginning the start of a tradition. Pancakes Saturdays.

A/n: since you are Archie’s twin sister it’s only fair your hair colour is red. I apologise that I didn’t post this Sunday. Sorry is this is horrible.
Archie took a deep breath, walking up the stairs slowly, until he reached the door. He stopped in front of your bedroom door. To say he was nervous, was an understatement. He said he would tell you that your relationship with Reggie was based on a bet, that he didn’t love you. Though Betty thought she should tell you because after all, she was your best friend. Though Archie disagreed, he thought he should be the one to tell you.
So here Archie was standing in front of your door, his hand raising to knock on your door, only for it to open, revealing you, all dressed up.
“Hey, arch, can’t talk going on a date.” You rambled, walking past him, only for him to grab your forearm, stopping you.
“What’s wrong? Is this important? Because I have somewhere else to be.” You questioned.
Archie let out a sigh. He knew this would break you.
“Arch, what is it? What’s wrong?” you asked, getting concerned when he didn’t speak.
“It’s about Reggie.” Archie sighed.
“What about Reggie?” you asked, getting impatient.
“He’s not in love with you, Y/n, he’s using you. Your relationship was based on a bet.” Archie spoke.
“You’re lying.” You denied, glaring at him. How could he lie to you?
“Y/n, I’m telling you the truth, your name is in the book.” Archie sighed.
“I don’t believe.” You growled.
Archie quickly took out his phone, looking down at it. Opening the text message that Betty sent him.
He looked up only to see you half way down the stairs.
“Y/n wait.” Archie shouted. Making you turn around.
“Funny joke, Arch, don’t you think its.” You hissed.
“I’m not joking, look.” Archie sighed, handing you his phone.
Your facial expression dropped, as well as your heart beat, as you looked at the photo.
“No.” you muttered, a tear falling from your eyes.
You quickly handed it back to him, walking down the stairs.
“No.” you sobbed, running your fingers through your red hair.
“y/n.” Archie spoke, walking down the stairs.
“I need air.” You cried, walking out the door, Archie following you.
“y/n, wait.” Archie shouted out, only to get the door slammed in his face.
 You walked down the sidewalk. Tears falling from your eyes, your face drained of emotion.
Why would Archie say that, was he kidding? Or maybe his right, that Reggie, didn’t love you at all. He was just using you, for some bet.
You couldn’t believe how stupid you were. Of course, Reggie doesn’t truly love you. No one does.
“Y/n.” Betty called out.
“Not now b.” you grumbled, whipping your eyes with the back of your hand, as you quickened your pace.
That didn’t stop Betty, she quickly reached out and grabbed your arm, abruptly turning you around.
“Did Archie tell you?” she asked, standing in front of you, her face full of concern.
“That the guy I thought I love didn’t love me at all, that it was all just a bet. Yeah, he did. I’m so stupid for believing he would ever love me.” You grumble, glaring at her.
“You’re not stupid for loving someone. Reggie, is just a jerk. ” she spoke softly. She wanted to comfort you. You didn’t deserve this.
“Don’t try and make me feel like I am the victim, I’m unlovable.” You shouted, your eyes watering with tears.
“That’s not true, you’re not unlovable, and you’ll find the right guy.” Betty sighed.
“Do you ever get tired of telling me lies?” you asked. Giving her a cold stare.
“Y/n, I’m not lying to you, Reggie wasn’t the right guy for you, he didn’t give you the love you deserve.” Betty spoke, looking at you with sadness.
“You were right about one thing, that Reggie didn’t love me that a guy I like him would never love me that he must be up to something. Guess what, you were right?” You yelled, wouldn’t tears now streaming down your cheek. Betty’s eyes watering. She bit her lip before answering.
“Y/n.-” Betty started to say, only for you to cut her off. “Just leave me alone, you Archie, and everyone else.” You grumbled, walking off…
By the time you got to pop’s your mascara was ruined, your cheeks were red, and your eyes were puffy. You didn’t feel sad anymore, you just felt anger.
“Y/n, what happened?” Reggie asked, standing up, as you walked towards him.
“YOU.” You shouted. Glaring at him. Your hand slapping hard against his cheek. While gaining the attention of customers. Jughead poked his head up.
“Ow.” Reggie groaned, rubbing his stinging cheek.
“You are such an asshole.” You grumbled, your hand still stinging from hitting his cheek hard. But you didn’t care.
“What did I do?” he asked.
Oh the nerve, he doesn’t even acknowledge what he did was wrong.
“What did you do-” you growled, only to be cut off by Reggie, before you could start ranting.
“Yeah.” Reggie said, making you growl.
“How dare you, act like you don’t know what you did, how dare you act like you’re a victim, you used me for a bet. Which might I added, just proves you’re a shallow asshole jock.” You growled.
“Oh, that, I can explain.” He spoke nonchalantly. Making you beyond pissed. To the point, you wanted to punch him in the face.
“Save it, Reggie, I don’t need your lies.” You hissed.
“Y/n, just listen to me, at first it was all a bet, then when spent more time together it changed.” Reggie spoke.
“Do you ever get tired of telling lies, of manipulating people?” you growled, clenching your fist.
“Well, you can’t talk, you were practically a frigid bitch before I had sex with you.” Reggie spoke.
“Don’t flatter yourself, Reggie, the sex wasn’t even that great by the way.” You snarled, glaring at him.
You could hear a small cough behind you, as Reggie let out a dark chuckle narrowing his eyes at you.
“You know, I can tell everyone that you are a whore, and they will, believe me, I made you a somebody.” Reggie snapped.
You glared at him, raising your fist, and punched him square in the nose.
“Go to hell, Reggie, and when you get there stay there.” You growled, walking away, leaving Reggie to cup his bleeding nose.
Jughead wondered if he should or shouldn’t go after you. Choosing on going after you, he closed his laptop, putting it into his bag.
 “Y/n.” Jughead sighed, trying to catch up to your fast pace.
“Don’t.” you grumbled, spinning around to face Jughead, your cheeks stained with mascara.
“If it helps, least you don’t have too bad sex anymore.” Jughead spoke, making you smile.
“You should go home, I'm fine.” You sighed, walking away from him, not even waiting to hear his reply.
~~~
You gripped the glass tight, glaring at the couple that sat in the booth in front of you.
“You look cute when you glare, you look like a little kitten.” A deep male voice said, from beside you.
You let out a scoff. What a lame pickup line you thought to yourself
The guy quickly sat in front of you smirking at you. He’s eyes staring at you with curiosity, his fingers running through his black hair.
God he was so hot you thought, quickly looking down at your drink.
“Names rex.” The raven haired boy introduced himself, smirking at you.
“Not interest.” You grumbled, bringing the glass up to your lips. The raven haired boy let out a chuckle.
“Well, I don’t do relationships, so, I’m not really wanting anything.” He spoke deeply, making you cross your legs. Feeling a pool of wetness, of course your body had to disobey you.
“Course not, you wreck girls panties and hearts and do drugs.” You grumbled, noticing his Southside serpent jacket.
Rex let out an amused chuckle. Biting his bottom lip.
“Am I ruining yours?” he asked, leaning closer. Giving you a sly wink.
“Perv.” You grumbled. Drinking the rest of liquid.
“You are just too precious.” He laughed. Leaning back on the chair.
“Whatever, I need another drink to listen to your pickup lines.” You grumbled, trying not to look into his brown eyes.
“You are sure fiery red.” He snickered.
“Only my friends call me red, and well you’re just a guy in a bar, trying to lure me into your web of lies than have sex with me, then when I’m truly madly deeply in love with you, I find out your love was based on a bet, a lie, and when I confront you, you act like a victim, then you call me a frigid bitch, a whore, and that you want to tarnish my reputation.” You spoke rudely. Directing you're angry onto Rex.
“I’m guessing a guy broke your heart.” Rex sighed.
“He used me for a bet, it was all a lie.” You sobbed, crying again. Rex’s eyes widen. Great, he thought to himself.
“So cliché like.” Rex said, taking out a pack of cigarettes, taking out one and lighting it up.
You let out a sob, your head falling, Rex rolled his eyes, missing your fiery personality.
Rex let out a huff of smoke.
“How about I make you forget about your so called ex-boyfriend?” Rex spoke.
Your head snapped up, looking at him through your watery eyes.
“What do you mean?” you asked, tilting your head to the side. Rex let out a moan. Taking a few more puffs out of his cigarette before he put it out.
“I’m saying you're attractive, I’m attractive, and well I’m sure a little one night stand won’t hurt anybody, and I can defiantly make you forget his name. I’ll be your drug.” He smirked, his voice Deeping with every word, his eyes darkening with lust. You let out a tiny moan.
“Just once.” You whimpered, as the pool of wetness came back.
“That’s how I roll, red.” He smirked, as you stood up, him following suite.
“Then let’s do it.” you spoke, as he grabbed your hand, both of you’s existing the bar. Leading to his motorbike.
“You scared of motorbikes?” he asked, handing you a helmet.
“No.” you answered, putting the helmet on, smirking at him.
“Good, I like a chick who can handle a motorbike.” He spoke.
“I bet you do.” you smirked. Hopping onto the motorbike, your hands wrapped around his waist…
 A few minutes later, Rex led you into his trailer, his lips capturing yours, as his hands gripped your sides. Tearing each other’s clothes off, Rex led you towards his bedroom, closing the door….
 “What’s the matter?” Rex asked, as he played with your hair, noticing your frown.
“I don’t want this to be a one night stand I want more.” You whined, turning on your side to look at him. Rex looked at you with an unreadable expression.
“You want this to be a relationship?” Rex asked.
“No, not a relationship, you know, that thing people have.” You tried to say, making Rex smirk.
“A fling?” Rex inquired.
“Yeah, that.” You answered, smiling at him.
“Can’t get enough of me red?” Rex teased, his hand tickling your side.
“Yeah.” You giggled.
“I’m sure I can bend the rules for you red.” Rex laughed, making you let out a giggle…
~~~~
To say Rex changed your behavior was a total understatement. It was like your whole personality changed. You stole stuff, you came home smelling like alcohol, cigarettes, and sex. You started to fight with your dad and your brother. You become more distant to your friend, dyed your hair black. You ditched classes, started fights, which got expelled from school.
Your dad had enough, He couldn’t get through to you. He tried and tried, but nothing worked, he revoked your electronic privileges, taking your phone and laptop away from you, thinking that would bring you back down to earth. But it didn’t. It broke your dad’s heart, to see his little girl change into something he didn’t recognize anymore.
 You closed the door softly, trying not to make a sound. You turned around, your eyes widening in shock.
“Hey, dad.” You greeted, giving him a fake smile.
“Where have you been?” he asked, still standing on the stairs.
“Does it matter, I’m home, safe and sound.” You grumbled, crossing your arms.
He shook his head, anger boiling inside of him. He was done with your late night Ron de vus, your shitty attitude, coming home smelling like cigarettes, alcohol, and sex. He was done. It was time he grounded you.
“This isn’t you.” He spoke.
“Last time I checked in the mirror, it was me.” You grunted. Only making your dad glare at you.
“I don’t even recognize you anymore.” He grumbled.
“Well, it’s me your daughter, so, can I go up the stairs now.” You muttered.
“No, you and I are going to have an overdue chat, missy.” He grumbled.
“Oh, goodie.” You sarcastically spoke, rolling your eyes in annoyance.
“I’m disappointed in you, skipping classes and getting expelled from school, wrecking your health by doing drugs, smoking, drinking, going out late at night to do god knows what. Icing your old friends out. You’ve changed y/n, you let a boy change you, wreck your life, who turned you into someone you’re not. Your mother and I did not raise you to be disrespectful and misbehaved.” He ranted.
“I’m sorry I’m such a disappointment.” You spat out.
“I don’t have any other choice but to ground you, I forbid you from seeing that washed up boy, who will get nowhere in life. From now on you will focus on your future, you have a meeting with the principal next Monday, hopefully, they will let you back in. You will study and get good grades, you won’t go down this path again.” He ordered.
“Are you serious?” you shouted, you couldn’t believe him.
“One 100 percent. This will be good for you, better than a jail cell, which is where you will be heading if you keep hanging out with him, or worse you’ll end up in a morgue.” he answered.
You let out a frustrated yell. Clenching your fist tight, anger boiling up inside you.
“I HATE YOU, I’D RATHER BE IN A MORGUE THEN IN THIS HOUSE.” You screamed, turning around and walking out the door.
Your dad still standing on the steps, his face going pale, as his heart fell. Your words cutting him. He quickly took a seat on the steps. Eyes filling with tears. Starring at the door you just stormed out of.
“Dad?” Archie asked, as he sat beside him.
“She hates me.” He mumbled.
“No, she doesn’t that’s just her anger talking.” Archie spoke, making his dad shake his head.
“I’m going to go out and find her.” Archie spoke, getting up and running up the stairs to grab his shoes. Once he put them on he ran down the stairs, seeing his dad in the same spot.
“Dad, she’s going to come back.” Archie reassured him, making his dad look up.
“I’ll find her.” Archie sighed, opening the door.  He looked at his dad, then made his way out of the door...
Where did he go wrong? Should he have been stricter with you, put you in a boarding school? He couldn’t send you away. Fred thought to himself…
 ~~~~
You finally reached rex’s house. Anger boiling inside as you entered his house. Just as you were about to rant, you heard a female moaning, thing
“Seriously?” you muttered, walking back out of his house.
Of course, he would move on from you, Reggie didn’t truly love you, and he moved on from you, and now Rex.
You could only blame yourself. You let a boy change you, you pretty much let a boy change you into someone you didn’t even recognize yourself.
You leaned against the school bleachers, sliding down, as the tears started to fall from your eyes.
You screwed up. You wrecked your relationship with your friends, made your grades go downhill, and most importantly you told your dad you hated him even though you don’t.
All because of some boy, who clearly couldn’t care less about you.
 “You might want to change your hide out spots if you don’t want to be found.” Archie spoke, as he sat down next to you.
You turned your head to look at him, tear’s streaming down your face.
“Hey, it’s okay.” Archie cooed, bringing you into a hug.
“It’s not Archie, it’s not okay, I was such a bitch, toI changed into this teenage monster, who ditched school, friends and her family, just for some stupid boy, who used me for sex.” You sobbed. Archie let out a sigh.
“Yeah, I know, don’t forget you dyed your hair black, it’s so horrible.” Archie spoke.
You let out a small giggle.
“I don’t hate dad, I hate myself.” You mumbled. Pulling away from Archie’s hug.
“We all make mistakes, y/n, that’s just life, but know that, me, Betty, Veronica, Kevin, Jughead, dad, we still love you, no matter what. Even with your horrible black hair.” Archie spoke.
“It’s wash out.” You sighed.
“Thank you.” You mumbled, looking down at the ground.
“Good. You want to go back, before dad gets worried about mtoo, and sends out a search party for us?”
“Yeah.” You sighed, as both of you’s got up…
 “So, what’s the deal with Rex?” Archie asked, as you’s walked side by side. His hands, resting in his jacket pocket.
“He’s another Reggie, he was just using me for sex.” you sighed. Not really that bothered.
“Well, technically Reggie used you for a bet.” You turned your head to the side to face him, raising your eyebrow at him.
“Just saying, Rex was bad news.” Archie huffed.
“Yep.” You muttered.
Silence took over, as you made it back home.
You stopped when you’s reached the door.
“You okay?” Archie asked. Looking at you with concern.
You shook your head yes.
“Remember what I said y/, we all make mistakes, but we still love you.” Archie spoke, softly. His hand still on the doorknob.
You nodded at Archie, as he opened the door, walking in, with you walking behind him. Archie shut the door, after you came in.
“Hey, where home.” Archie announced.
“Dad.” You whispered, as he came into the foyer. He’s eyes red.
“Dad, it’s okay if you hate me, I hate me to.” You mumbled.
He quickly walked to you wrapping his arms around you. Both of you’s started to cry.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it, I don’t want to end up in a morgue.” you sobbed.
“Sh.” He hushed, holding you closer.
“I promise, I will focus on school, and not let a boy change me again.” You promised.
“I know, honey, I love you.” He sighed.
“I love you too.” You mumbled, as he hugged you tighter...
Bet On Me
Reggie x Reader
A/N: This is my first ever fic and I hope you all like it!! Requests for all other Riverdale characters are open!! (This is my first fic because Reggie is bae)
Word Count: 3369
Warnings: Swearing, slight angst, violence, heavy make-out session (is that even a warning?)
Summary: Reggie is dared to date Y/N, the sweet and popular untouched cheerleader. He does so, although not expecting to fall for her in the process.
Tumblr media
School had started again, and with that so had the gossiping and the backstabbing. Summer had changed everyone. No, it wasn’t just the mysterious death of Jason Blossom, but it was also the puberty that managed to hit someone different every year. But then again, some people stayed the same; just like Chuck Clayton.
“God she’s so hot, why does she have to be such a fucking feminist?”
Chuck was the kind of guy who didn’t care about his actions or his words. I learned that through experience. So when he started to talk like that, I only liked to see who his next prey would be. My eyes followed his only to land on Y/F/N Y/S/N. She was the type of girl that everyone wanted to date. She wasn’t only kind, but also beautiful. Puberty hadn’t changed her apart from giving her the glorious body that she now owned.
“Just because she’s a feminist doesn’t mean that she won’t date anyone Chuck.” He looked at me with a frown, which was soon replaced by a challenging grin.
“Oh yeah? Then why don’t you go and give that theory a try Reggie? I bet you won’t even manage to score one date.” I smirked, accepting the challenge straight away.
“And I bet that I can last two whole months with her.”
“Alright Mantle, loser owes the winner one hundred bucks and lunch for a month.” Oh there was no way I was passing this up. Besides, who couldn’t resist Mantle The Magnificent?
“Deal.”
Reggie had to admit, he had never been so scared to ask out a girl. And as he got a good look at her from across the hall he finally realised what the whole fuss was about. Y/N wasn’t just some hot girl, no, she was way more than that. She was intelligent and excelled at every class, as well as managing to be a part of the drama club so that she could pursue her dream of being an actress. But it didn’t finish there, oh no, she was also a cheerleader, the co-leader if you will, which gave her the undeniable status of Cheryl Blossoms best friend.
And seriously where did Chuck get off on calling her hot? Y/N wasn’t hot, she was a goddess. A goddess that fell from the heavens into this shitty earth and into this even shittier town. Everyone knew that she had the charisma and the talent to get what she wanted but that was really it. And that’s when it dawned on Reggie that no one actually knew her. Not really. She was a mystery to everyone, and yet everyone acted like they knew her.
But none of that mattered. No, he had made a bet and of course, Reggie Mantle never backs down from a bet. Especially since it’s just asking some girl out.
Mustering up the last bit of courage he made his way to the Y/H/C haired girl who was putting away some books in her locker. He cleared his throat, getting her attention quickly. Her Y/E/C eyes looking up quizzically through her lashes - which he thought was the cutest thing ever - only for her whole head to tilt up to properly look at the tall male.
“Hey Y/N.” I smirked at her, whilst also leaning against the lockers beside me.
“Umm hi Reggie? What do you want?”
“I was wondering if you would like to come to Pop’s with me after school? You know to talk and stuff?”
“Right. And since when do you want to hang out with me Mantle?” And there it was. The sass that rivalled Jughead’s oh so well.
“Can’t a guy just ask a girl out with no ulterior motives?” I sighed, great so this wasn’t going to be as easy as I thought it was going to be.
“Oh sure he can! Just not someone like you.” She fluttered her eyes at me sarcastically and grinned. I scowled, this was definitely not how this conversation was going to end.
“And what’s that supposed to mean?”
“That you’re the biggest playboy in this town, right after Chuck of course, and that I will not go out with you, ever.” Ouch. Well she’s got a point.
“Look I know I don’t have the best of reputations but I really really like you. I like the way you always tuck you hair behind your ear because it’s always falling out of place, and I like the way you smile when you’re reading something you like and you think no one’s looking. Hell, I even like the way you always bite your lip during a football game because you’re worried that we won’t win. Please, just one date so I can prove it to you. If you don’t like it then I’ll leave you alone and won’t ask you out ever again.” By the time I finished my speech (which, by the way, I don’t know where I pulled from) Y/N was as red as her best friends favourite lipstick, her mouth slightly parted trying to form words.
“O-Okay. But just one date alright?” She quickly looked down when her eyes met mine and I couldn’t stop myself from smiling at her shyness.
“Great! I’ll come and pick you up at 6:00pm at your house, okay?”
“Y-Yeah, I-I mean whatever.” And with that she quickly ran away leaving me with a satisfied smirk on my face.
Like I said, easy.
Y/N knew it was a bad idea when she agreed to go out on a date with Reggie Mantle. He was just a whole load of trouble and she didn’t need that. And if she were to be truthful it wasn’t even her fault. It was Reggie’s. Him and his stupid words and his stupid smile and his stupid perfection. She couldn’t lie and say she wasn’t interested because she was. She had had a crush on Reggie since she could remember and that silly crush then turned into more until he then developed into the hotness he is now and she just couldn’t call it a crush anymore. But she knew what Reggie had turned into, she saw it everyday when girls cried and he laughed with his friends. And that’s why she decided she couldn’t try and pursue her feelings. Reggie Mantle was bad news, so she had to keep her feelings for him a secret.
But secrets just don’t stay hidden when your best friend is Cheryl Blossom. So when she ran to her after getting asked out by Reggie, obviously the first thing she would say is: “Oh you are going to look hot as hell tonight!” And that is how she ended up missing her cheerleading practise. Just to look hot for Reggie Mantle.
“And done! Honey you are going to literally break Reggie. Oh he has never seen and will never see someone as hot as you. You are going to kick ass tonight Y/N, I know it.” Cheryl stood behind me proud, with her hands on her hips lightly nodding at my appearance. I looked in the mirror, assessing myself. I was wearing a short red skater skirt with a white fitting tank top under it. I had a simple velvet black choker that matched my velvet high heels. And to set everything I was wearing only one coat of black mascara with winged eyeliner and bright red lipstick.
“Cheryl you do realise we didn’t have to cancel practise today just for this, right?”
“Well duh, but you needed time to calm down because your star-crossed lover finally asked you out and because I’m a great best friend I will do anything in my power to make you comfortable.”
“You’re absolutely crazy Cher-” I got interrupted by the distinct sound of my doorbell ringing.
“He’s here! Oh and right on time. Dedicated? Check. Come on Y/N go and rock his world.” I gulped, realising that I was seriously not ready for this date.
Cheryl pushed me toward the stairs giving me her thumbs up. I sighed and walked down the stairs mentally preparing myself for what was waiting for me on the other side of the door.
“Hey-” Reggie didn’t finish his sentence as he looked at me up and down. His cheeks started to redden as he finally looked at me in the eyes. “Wow - I mean you look great Y/N.”
“Thanks, you don’t look so bad yourself. Oh and are those for me?” I gestured to the set of roses he was holding in his left hand, whilst looking at his attire. He was wearing black trousers with a white shirt that accented his muscles in all the right places, finishing it off with a red bomber jacket. I tried not to squeal at the fact that we were matching and held my hand out to take the flowers from him.
“Oh yeah. I didn’t know what your favourite flowers were so I just got the best looking ones.” I giggled at his facial expression while I went and put the flowers in a pot.
“Well thank you. My favourite flowers are violets, but roses come in a close second.” I smiled up at him once I finished placing the roses in a crystal vase my mum left at the back of our cupboard. “You ready to go?” He nodded.
“You know, for a girl that doesn’t want to go on a date you seem pretty happy about it.” My eyes widened as he slowly started to smirk at me.
“W-Well you asked me to give you a chance and I did. Even if I didn’t want to it doesn’t mean I can’t try and have fun.” I stuttered, mentally slapping myself for lying so badly.
“Whatever you say Princess. Now come on, I’m going to give you the best night of your life.” I took his hand as we headed to Pop’s smiling the whole way.
“Y/N! Hey, Y/N! Have you seen my jacket anywhere? Y/N?” Reggie called out as he walked down the stairs in his house to the kitchen looking for his letterman jacket. Looking inside for his girlfriend of two-months and a half, he grinned finally finding what he was looking for.
He chuckled in a deep town as he leaned on the door frame and looked at the said Y/H/C making breakfast in his jacket.
Just his jacket on.
“Y/N, I’ve been looking for that jacket you know.”
“Oops sorry.” She giggled as she put a plate of eggs and bacon on the table. “I didn’t hear you.”
Smirking at his girlfriend, he made his way towards her to wrap his arms arms around her waist and kiss her gently on the lips. “I gotta go Princess.”
“Already? But I just made breakfast. And this is the last day we have together before your parents come home.” She frowned as she placed her hands around his neck.
“I know but I have extra football practise today and being the new quarterback I can’t miss anything. Besides, my parents are probably going to leave again anyway.”
“Come on Reggie… Stay a little longer, please? At least have some breakfast before you go.” She whined making him chuckle and shake his head in disapproval. “Y/N, Y/N, Y/N… I’ve turned you into a bad girl haven’t I?” He asked making her giggle and shake her head. “No, Reggie, good girls are bad girls that just haven’t been caught yet.”
He quirked his eyebrow up at her, his in-famous smirk appearing on his face as Y/N him the plate of eggs and bacon.
“You’re crazy.”
“You love it.”
“You were great Reggie! I think you’re the best quarterback that we’ve ever had.” Y/N said as she hugged her boyfriend tightly.
“Trust me I know. There hasn’t been even one game we’ve lost since coach made me the new quarterback. And besides with a girlfriend who’s the best cheerleader how could I fail?” Reggie returned Y/N’s hug by picking her up and spinning her around, putting her down just so he could take off his helmet and kiss her softly.
After they both got changed in the changing rooms they met up outside ready to leave to go to the after party which was being thrown by none other than Cheryl Blossom.
“Y/N wait. I have something for you.” The said girl turned around curiously only to be met with a small blue box in front of her. Her eyes widened when Reggie opened it, as it revealed a necklace with a small infinity sign. She gasped as she saw the two engravings of her and Reggie’s initials. “Oh my God, Reggie it’s beautiful. But why?”
“I want you to always have me there with you. To know that I’ll support you through everything all the time. Think of it as a good luck charm.” Reggie grinned at Y/N as he turned her around and put it on her neck, gently kissing her neck before letting her hair fall back down.
“I love you Y/N.”
“And I love you, Reggie.” She said while putting her hands around his neck and kissing him. In a matter of seconds they started to kiss quicker, with more passion. Reggie bit Y/N’s lip, asking her for permission to enter. Y/N eagerly consenting by opening her mouth to let his tongue start exploring her mouth. She met his in the middle, their tongues fighting over dominance which Reggie soon won. Reggie brought her closer to him as he kissed her harder, grabbing her ass in the process. Y/N instead moved her hands up into his hair grabbing it and pulling it, making Reggie moan into her mouth. But before things could escalate anymore they were interrupted by a loud car beep. They both pulled apart quickly, Reggie groaning at the people who sat in the car.
“When you guys are done having sex in front of the school gates we’d like to go to Cheryl’s party.” It was none other than Chuck and Moose smirking at them both. “Come on, get in the car.” They both sighed, finally letting go of each other to walk up to the car. Reggie took the front passenger seat whereas Y/N sat next to Moose in the back. As Chuck finally started driving, he smirked at Reggie starting a conversation.
“So Y/N, I didn’t take you for a girl that dated jocks.” Reggie shot Chuck a threatening look, but Chuck continued talking.
“What do you mean?”
“Well you must know about our reputation and well our bets right?”
“Of course I do. I don’t get what this has to do with my relationship with Reggie.”
“Well you guys have been dating for three months now, I would’ve thought you would’ve left him by now. You know since you passed the two month mark.” Y/N looked at Chuck quizzically, not understanding where he was coming from.
“Chuck, shut up.” Reggie growled out, not ready for this conversation by any means.
“No Chuck, continue. What do you mean?”
“Well me and Reggie bet that he could only date you for two months but obviously he did way more than that. Tell me, did he also take your oh so precious virginity?” Y/N’s eyes widened, tears prickling her eyes as she looked at Reggie for any sign of what Chuck had just said of being a lie, all while she held the necklace that Reggie had just given to her. As she saw Reggie’s head down, not looking at her she scoffed trying to hold back tears.
“Stop the car Chuck.”
“Aw out so soon? But we haven’t even gotten to the party babe.”
“I said, stop the car Chuck.”
“Okay okay. Just calm down alright?” Chuck slowly came to a stop, letting Y/N get out of the car. The moment she was out she slammed the door. Making Chuck cringe but not say anything as he could tell her mood wasn’t one to mess with.
“Goddammit - Y/N wait!!” But she didn’t stop. She just kept walking away. Reggie turned around, scowling at Chuck.
“What?”
“Are you fucking serious now Chuck? Couldn’t you keep your mouth shut just for once in your goddamn life? I was going to fucking tell her in my own time!” Reggie was practically fuming, his hands balled into fists, struggling to not punch his so called best friend in the face.
“Dude, calm down. All I did was tell her the truth, not my fault she couldn’t take it. Besides, you’ve had your fun with her now, what do you care about her?”
“Didn’t it occur to you that maybe there was a reason I hadn’t broken up with her yet? Maybe that I actually liked her?”
“Ok Reg, listen. I get that you maybe are pissed that now you don’t have anyone hot to fuck anymore but it’s cool! I’ll find you someone real quick. And look on the bright side, you even won the bet.” With that Reggie punched him square in the face, Chuck’s face hitting the window of the car creating a crack in the window as well as blood flowing out of his nose. “Dude, what the fuck?!”
“I don’t want your fucking money. I loved her, Chuck.” And with that he got out of the car, running after Y/N in the night.
“Y/N? Y/N wait!” Reggie ran after the girl finally catching up to her.
“What do you want? You won your bet and proved Chuck wrong, just like you wanted. I’m no use to you now.”
“No it’s not like that! I mean it is but-”
“Oh just shut up Reggie. Listen to yourself, you can’t even lie.”
“I’m not here to lie, Y/N. I want to tell you the truth. So please, just listen to me.” As he said it he grabbed her arm, finally turning her towards him only to look down at her tear stained cheeks. His eyes widened pain flashing across them. She never responded so he continued to talk.
“That’s what it was, a bet, in the beginning. I had only approached you because of it. And that’s all it was supposed to be. But-but then I started to get to know you, and I wanted to keep learning more about you. Until I found myself thinking about you constantly and I just couldn’t get you out my head. Y/N it started off as a lie but I really did fall for you. And I’m sorry - God I am so sorry - for it to have started out like that but I am in love with you and my feelings won’t change. It’s not a lie. Not anymore. So please forgive me Y/N, I can’t live without you, I just can’t.” By the time he had finished pouring out his feelings to her he had his hands around her cheeks, his thumbs gently cleaning away the tears that were falling down like a waterfall.
“Fuck I hate you so much Reggie.” His eyes widened, slowly dropping his arms next to him, looking defeated.
“I hate how I actually fell for your stupid act and I hate how much of a dick you are. I hate how I’ve liked you for so long and actually believed that you were a good guy after all. I hate how even now I want to forgive you and I hate it how I still want to be with you. And what I hate most of all is that I still fucking love you.” She choked as she sobbed, her hand gripping his shirt tightly. Reggie held her tightly though, hands around her waist as he waited for her to let everything out.
“Reggie?”
“Yeah?”
“Forever, right?”
“Forever.”
                                                                                                                                                                                   for what? where are we going?
sweetie
don't worry about it, dress warm
                                                                                                                                                                                       you
                                                                                                                                                                                 should i bring anything?
                                                                                                                                                                                     you
                                                                                                                                                                              sweets?
You sigh to yourself as all of your texts go unanswered. Sweet Pea always liked spontaneous plans more than anything. They haven't been happening that often recently, with all the drama and tension.
Yet, even with your confusion, you're overly excited to see what they're planning. The last date the three of you went on was to Pop's, and it wasn't really a date since Charlie and Jennie were also with them.
You curl up in your bed, too excited to sleep but wanting to be well rested for tomorrow, clutching your stuffed animal in your arms happily.
________________________
When morning finally came around, you practically flew out of bed, dying to see what your boyfriends planned for you. Dressing warmly in one of Reggie's sweatshirts and a beanie, you sit by the door, waiting excitedly for the sound of your boyfriend's truck pulling up. When you see the familiar truck, you practically run to open the door, not letting Pea stop all the way.
"Whoa! Babe, you good?" Reggie laughs, stepping out to greet you with a hug, before picking you up and spinning around. The sound of your laughter is enough to make Sweet Pea smile too.
"Just missed you guys." You climb in the backseat, Reggie deciding to sit next to you instead of the passenger seat he previously occupied.
"Hey! I'm not an Uber, get your ass back here." Sweet Pea snaps grumpily, but that still doesn't kill your mood.
"It's a 15 minute car ride, babe, you'll survive." Reggie laughs, pulling you into him. You see Sweet Pea roll his eyes through the mirror, but nonetheless he still drives off.
"Where are we going?" You ask again, hoping they'll tell you now.
"You'll see, baby. Just hang tight." You're about to protest again, but Reggie just squeezes you tighter and easily changes the subject.
"Oh yeah, and put this on." Sweet Pea tosses a blindfold into the backseat, causing you to flinch away.
"Pea? Where has that been?" You look at it skeptically, a little scared of why he'd have a blindfold in his possession.
"It hasn't be used, dummy." Pea rolls his eyes again.
"Trust us, babe. Come on, we're almost there, don't ruin the surprise!" Reggie convinces you. You sigh nervously, but let Reggie tie the blindfold around your head. "Is it too tight?" But you only respond with a little shake of your head.
When the car finally stops, you're a little afraid to take off the blindfold, unsure of where they brought you.
"Careful, baby." Reggie warns when you try to step out of the car, opting to pick you up and place you in the direction of their surprise. "You can take it off now."
With shaky hands, you untie the blindfold, blinking a few times to adjust to the light. When looking around, you realize you're at a flower field. The exact one you've raved about for your entire relationship. You always saw it in pictures online, but never had the chance to go yourself. You're swarmed with emotions as you realize the thought they put into this date.
"You remembered!" You practically scream, bouncing like a puppy, before collapsing backwards  onto the flowers. "Baby, it's so beautiful!" You practically squeal, running back up to them. "Hurry up!" You pull on Sweet Pea's arm, rushing him out of the car.
"Hang on!" Pea snaps again, but unable to hide the smile on his face. He collects the his bag, before letting you drag him to the middle of the flowers.
You and Reggie lay down a blanket, and Sweet Pea quickly grabs your hand to lay you down with him.
"Happy, babe?" Sweet Pea asks gently, kissing your cheek.
"This is so beautiful!" You exclaim again, laughing when Reggie lightly collapses on top of you, catching himself with his arms.
"Not as beautiful a-" you cut off Reggie's cheesy proclamation by shoving him off of you, him landing next to you.
"Thank you, guys. Really." You sit up to get a better view of the flowers, admiring the beauty of the nature around you.
"It'll get better when the sun rises." Sweet Pea comments, pulling you back down.
"Really? We're watching the sunrise?" You ask excitedly. Reggie laughs at how excited you are, kissing you gently. You lay cuddled up to them, suddenly feeling emotional at the love you're feeling. Happy tears line your eyes, but you hide your face in Sweet Pea's neck to avoid the embarrassment of them teasing you.
"Are you crying?" Sweet Pea suddenly starts booming in laughter, sitting up to pull you into his lap. "Our baby is crying, Reg." Sweet Pea teases. Reggie kisses Sweet Pea's forehead, before sitting next to him, trying to brush your tears away.
"Shut up, Pea." You mumble, voice muffled from all the tears and emotions. "Just really love you guys, s'all." Your words are slurred, unable to stop the tears.
"Love you too, baby." Reggie responds truthfully.
"No- I really- really- love you guys." Your face turns bright pink in embarrassment, but you keep your face hidden in the side of Sweet Pea's neck. "And I missed you so much these past couple of weeks so I'm just- I don't know." Your voice trails off, gentle sobs filling the air, but Sweet Pea coos in your ear.
"Baby..." he mumbles. "We're still so sorry." He repeats, kissing the side of your neck gently. "We're so lucky to have you." Pea fights off his own tears as Reggie easily lifts you and places you in his lap instead.
"We won't leave again, baby. We promise." Reggie mumbles, showering your face in kisses until you finally let a little giggle leave you.
"Sorry to be emotional." You say regretfully, hugging Reggie even tighter.
"You never have to apologize for that, sweetie." Sweet Pea reaffirms, brushing the hair out of your tear stained face.
"I love you." You repeat, making eye contact with both of them.
"We love you more." Sweet Pea speaks for both of them.
"Babe, look, the sun's about to rise." Reggie turns you in his lap so your back is against his chest, hugging you tightly. Sweet Pea wraps his arm around Reggie, the three of you cuddling and watching the sun paint the flowers in various shades of pink and orange.
"It's beautiful." You mutter, in a trance from the sight.
"Not as beauti-" this time, Sweet Pea cuts off Reggie's cheesy statement with a light punch on the shoulder, sending another wave of giggles through you.
Sitting here, wrapped up with your two loving and mindless boyfriends - you never felt more at peace.
If you have time/energy, 41 for the bughead prompts pls! It’s the “overhears they have feelings for you.”
Now that i finally have the time, here’s some fluff to counter the angst!
-
             Betty paused at the door to the Blue and Gold office when she heard voices.  This late in the day, it was usually only her and Jughead still working on the college newspaper. Or, rather, while she continued working diligently on page layouts while he worked on homework on the couch.
             “It’s not that big of a deal,” Jughead said.  “Right?  So I should just say it.”
             She peeked in through the crack in the door and saw him pacing back and forth, his hands waving wildly in the air.
             “If it’s not that big of a deal, why haven’t you said it?” came a reply from Toni.
             Strange; Toni was always the most punctual person on their team.  Her photos had been ready to print for over a week, and she rarely spent her free time in the office..  Unless Jughead had dragged her into his usual shenanigans regarding things that went bump in the night?
             “Because –“
             Jughead stopped and made a pained noise. Unsympathetic, Toni snickered, and even Betty had to cover her mouth from laughing.  As much as she enjoyed his company, even Betty had to admit it was amusing to see him get so wrapped up in himself.
             “It’s just three words,” Toni pointed out.  “And it’s not like it will kill you to say it.”
             “She might.”
             “Betty is not going to murder you –“
             “Not her, Cheryl.”
             This time, Toni burst out in peals of laughter that covered up Jughead’s response. Curious to hear her cousin’s name, Betty leaned closer to the open door.   The fiery tempered red-head was as much of a fan of Jughead’s as he was of hers, and that wasn’t saying much of anything.
             “Cheryl is why you’re afraid to say ‘I love you‘?”
             Jughead grumbled something inaudible, and Betty glanced up and down the halls to make sure she was alone.  This close to information so pertinent to her life – Jughead was in love???? When did that happen??? Why??? - the last thing she needed was someone as boisterous as Kevin or Veronica yelling her name down the hall. Pressing herself against the door frame, Betty bit her lip and tried to calm her pounding heart.
             “The last time someone even mentioned asking Betty out –“
             Betty had to bite her tongue to keep from starting.  A pen fell from her pocket and echoed in the empty halls. There was a silence, and she waited to be found out.
             “That was because it was Reggie Mantle doing the asking,” Toni pointed out, completely ignorant of being eavesdropped on.  She continued in a less than sure voice. “Besides, Cheryl … doesn’t dislike you.  She’d probably even be happy with you if you got Betty out of the apartment for something that wasn’t school or work.  You know, like a date?  The thing people ask about when they like someone?”
             Now too nervous to stay still, Betty rushed from the door, clutching her bag to her chest, and fled to the bathroom.  As soon as the door closed behind her, she couldn’t help but clasp her hands together in glee.  She and Jughead had danced around each other for over a year now and the closest they could get to anything called ‘dating’ had been a late-night stake out to see if the Dean of the Journalism school really was moonlighting as a click bait writer for BuzzFeed.
             She breathed deeply to calm her nerves. Try as she might, she couldn’t contain the thrill of hearing that Jughead Jones, the guy she’d been crushing on since freshman orientation, liked her.  Not just liked.  He loved her.  Betty couldn’t help but hug herself.
             Straightening her shirt and steeling herself to be as forward as she imagined Cheryl would be, Betty stepped out of the bathroom and made her way, once more, to the Blue and Gold office. As she neared the office, Toni emerged and sent her a wink.
             “Good luck in there, boss,” Toni said with a salute.
             Betty bit down a response and opened the door.   Jughead jumped up as if electrocuted, his face white at the sight of her.  Any other time, Betty would have rushed towards him, asking him twenty different questions to try and figure out why he looked so ill.  Now, though, it was all she could do to keep from smiling.
             “Good evening, Jughead,” she chirped.
             He stammered a reply and she set her backpack on her desk.
             “You know what I really love?” she asked, unable to help herself, especially when a faint blush rose to his cheeks.  “Those wontons you got last week.  Where was that from again?”
             “Klump’s Kafeteria,” Jughead said.  “Did you get my article?”
             Betty nodded, disappointed he’d jumped so quickly to business.  “I did. I really love,” she paused, sitting down on her desk and pulling her laptop out, “the way you captured the emotions in your review.  Especially whereyou talk about the mise-en-scene and how well it pulled everything together. It made the recommendation that more meaningful.”
             “Honestly?  I couldn’t stand the movie,” Jughead said.  He rolled his eyes and sat on the corner of her desk.
             And suddenly, the spell was broken, and her regular, normal Jughead was back in front of her.  She watched his face as he complained about plot pacing and script-incongruities.  Only half paying attention, Betty wondered if he’d finally make a move.   It would be even better, though, if he’d finally notice that she’d been flirting this whole time.
             “Regardless, it was a very well written piece,” Betty said when he’d finished.  “You know what I also love?”
             Jughead raised an eyebrow at her, finally beginning to notice a trend.   “Those weird blue macaroons that taste like Peto-Bismol from Chez Bonuit?”
             She flicked her pen at him and scowled.  “You just have a warped sense of taste after eating all that grease and sugar at Pop’s.”
              “And yet who’s the one also asking me to bring them a strawberry milkshake whenever they find out I’m eating all that grease and sugar?”
             “It’s one of the little things I love you for,” Betty said, slipping it in as casually as she could. “That and the lattes you bring me after a late night editing.”
              Jughead’s eyes flew open and heat bubbled up in her cheeks.  Pressing on, Betty opened up a browser on her computer and turned it to him.
             “I also love, and I hope you will too, that R.R.J. Swift is putting out a new Play of Chairs book next month.”
             His face light up and he crowded in next to her, their faces a few inches from the screen.  “How did I miss this?  There’s no way they could get that to print so quickly.”
             “Everyone in printing was told it was a new Donna Sweet novel,” Betty said, clicking a few times until a different website came up, “so it’s been hush-hush until he broke the news an hour ago.”*
             “Finally, we can see what happens to Trienne of Barth.”
             She elbowed him lightly.  “I can’t believe you still like her after she betrayed Don Ice.”
             “I can’t help it.  I love her storyline,” he shot back, his eyes searching hers.
             Undeterred, Betty thrust out her chin.  “And I love –“
             “Yes, yes, we get it,” Toni said.  “You two are trapped in a bubble of love.”
             They both turned, blushing, to the door.
             “Sorry to interrupt the futile flirting, but I forgot my notes,” Toni said, walking towards the couch.  She held up a notebook and shook it at them.  “Just kiss her already Jones, or I will.  And since the last time that happened I ended up going to prom with your girlfriend...”
             “She’s right, you know” Betty said when Toni left.
             Jughead cleared his throat.  “About which part?”
             “You should kiss me.”
             “I –“
             Whatever his protestations might have been, Jughead smartly decided to ignore them.  Instead, he leaned towards Betty, who happily met him more than half-way.
             A few months later, when Jughead claimed their first date was at a Play of Chairs release party, Betty couldn’t help but cover a laugh.  She loved that he was technically correct, even if it was only a party of two.
*(No, I do not know how printing works, nor do I care enough to Google this or other characters from the series.  Apologies if I’m wrong.  If I am, just pretend they’re talking about Minecraft.)
Jet Pack Blues. (Sweet Pea x Reader)
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I got those jet pack blues. Just like Judy. The kind that makes June feel like September. I'm the last one that you'll ever remember.
Warm rays of sunshine creep into the silent room, as though trying to cheer us all up. Despite the happiness June brings, none of us feel it. Instead it feels like everything is dying, as though my whole world has just collapsed. I'm sure Judy feels the same. Yet she offers me a small smile and a comforting hug.
And I'm trying to find that piece of mind. Behind these two white highway lines. When the city goes silent. The ringing in my ears gets violent.
Riverdale is never silent. Though it sure feels like it right now. The only sound I can hear is the smashing of metal and the piercing screams. I'm forcing myself not to cry, to put on a brave face. Yet the memory replays in my head over and over. I have to be strong. For Judy.
She's in a long black coat tonight. Waiting for me in the downpour outside. She's singing "Baby come home" in a melody of tears. While the rhythm of the rain keeps time.
Seven days have gone by without him by my side. My heart feels empty. I don't care about anything. Small tears slide down my crimson red cheeks as I sit on the ground, mud coating my legs and coat. The heavy rainfall doesn't bother me, all I care about is being with him
My hand traces the words on the gravestone and all I can do is repeat myself over and over. "Baby come home."
Did you ever love her? Do you know? Or did you never want to be alone?
My mind flashes to one of the last nights I had with him. The night he confessed he cheated on me. He was so guilty and ashamed. He knew he was in the wrong. So I forgave him. Kevin on the other hand was not too happy. My brother kept questioning his motives, asking if he truly loved me. Maybe he did doubt our relationship. Though in the end it was always him and I.
I've got those jet pack blues. Fight off the light tonight and just stay with me, Honey, don't you leave.
In your hospital room, I sat so patiently. Begging you to stay alive. To stay alive for your mom, to stay alive for me. I prayed to God every single moment that your life could be spared. So when your heart stopped beating, I broke down in you mom's arms. Both of us a mess of tears, as she promised me we would be fine. Judy took me in that night, taking care of me the way you used to do.
Don't you remember how we used to split a drink? It never mattered what it was. I think our hands were just that close. The sweetness never lasted no.
Sitting in the diner on my own feels strange. I've got nobody to share a chocolate milkshake with. I don't have your hand locked in mine. We used to be so close. So in love. Then she came into the picture and pulled you away from me. I guess our love went sour.
She's in a long black coat tonight. Waiting for me in the downpour outside. She's singing "Baby come home" in a melody of tears. As the rhythm of the rain keeps time.
It's been years since he left me. Yet I still visit every week. Usually alone. Though this time is different. I'm not alone anymore. I'm not sad anymore.
"I hope you can forgive me Sweet Pea. I had to move on. Part of me will always love you, there is no doubt in my mind about that. So I'm here with my husband, Reggie and I got married today. I hope you like the dress, it's purple. Your favourite colour. I've got to go now but I'll be back soon. I miss you."
“I think it’s more me than you.  They think I never should have even gotten involved with you.”
“Do you agree with them?”
“No, I don’t.  Shit, I—look, the past two weeks have been fucking hard. Everyone’s doing their damndest to tell us we shouldn’t be together, but I don’t agree with them.  These two weeks have been the best of my life.”
I Promise I Hate You || Reggie Mantle
A/N: Sorry for any grammar or spelling errors! I’ve been a bit off today but I had motivation so i’m writing! You guys should feel free to request anything from any of the fandoms you see in my bio!
Request: ‘can you do a Reggie imagine where you guys hate each other like your always fighting at school and everybody knows you guys don't get along but one night you start having a panic attack during a football game kinda like Cheryl did in that one episode. and he runs after you in the locker room and just comforts you? With lots of fluff, stuff we don't really see with Reggie you know. I'll literally love you forever if you write this. Thanks so much!’ -by Anon
Warnings: Swearing
Words with quotes and italics like ‘this’ are thoughts.
A * symbol means that a flashback is occurring.
—————————————————————————————
You hated Reggie Mantle, every day you swore to yourself that you hated his guts. He was a prick who seemed to think he was better than everyone else. Reggie had claimed to hate you too, always trying to prove himself more by pestering you in the halls.
It had become so routine that you almost enjoyed it- but never would admit it. You were in denial, attempting to convince yourself that you would never enjoy the presence of him, that he wasn’t worth your time.
Yet as your good friend Jughead would so kindly point out, you still went to his football games, silently cheering him on in your head. He had been the same with you, he didn’t hate you like he said, but he didn’t think he’d go as far as to say he liked you.
Reggie Mantle did not like you, and you, (Y/N) (L/N) did not like him, but both of you knew it wasn’t nearly as simple as that. Reggie had noticed you at his games and it comforted him in an odd way, you never missed a game.
This time was no different, he stepped onto the field and saw you in your usual spot, off to the side and towards the front, acting disinterested. You glanced up and saw him too, catching yourself almost smiling before scolding yourself.
Halfway into the game something change, sudden paranoia took over for no apparent reason, and your chest suddenly felt tight. Quickly shaking your head, you attempted to stop thinking about it, when a group of people walked by and made a snide comment about you.
Not even remembering the comment, you stood up and quickly rushed off, trying to make it into the bathroom before anyone would see your mental breakdown, knowing it would only give you more of a bad reputation.
The game was forgotten, and you ended up not making it to the bathroom. You turned a corner heading into the first place you could hide in, which just so happened to be the change room.
Stepping inside and quickly collapsing on a bench, heavy sobs shook your body and lungs almost tightening. It had felt like your ribcage was closing in on them, slowly suffocating you as you failed to calm down.
Panic flooded your veins as you began worrying about what would happen if someone saw you, heavy breathing was the only sound to be heard as your lungs got tighter and tighter, head spinning.
Suddenly you heard footsteps and attempted to quiet down, failing for the most part. The heavy breathing now came out shakier, hand covering your mouth desperately, despite already feeling as if you were unable to breathe.
Eyes wide, you continued to cry, body shaking, facing away from the door to the change room. You heard someone step inside, and your eyes shut tightly, breathing rapidly as your lungs seemed to get impossibly tighter.
All of a sudden Reggie himself stood in front of you, eyes wider than usual as he crouched down, “Hey- hey it’s just me, okay?” he whispered, words jumbling together.
He looked you in the eyes, rubbing your shoulders, “look at me- copy my breathing, okay? Just focus on me right now, even though my face might not be the one you want to see” he joked weakly, taking deep breaths.
You attempted to follow, tears still sliding down your face and small hiccups coming out as you focused all your attention on him, feeling less suffocated than before.
Reggie smiled weakly as he saw you slowing your breathing, “that’s really good, keep doing that and don’t lose focus” he whispered quickly, some of the panic leaving his voice, relief replacing it.
You quickly wiped your face after a few more minutes of deep breathing, eyes staring deeply into his. Shaking your head, you carefully took his hands off of your shoulders, “uh, thanks. You really didn’t have to-” Reggie raised a hand, shaking his head, “I really hope you weren’t gonna say I didn’t have to, because trust me I wanted to,” he said genuinely, sitting back on the floor.
Eyes widening, you quickly began speaking, “wait- you’re having a game right now, why aren’t you-” Reggie interrupted again, “I ran off when I saw you leave, I notice you coming to my games,” he said lightly, winking jokingly at you.
Running a hand through your hair, you stood up, “well, Mr.Mantle, didn’t know you stalked me in your free time” you joked back, giving him a hand as he grabbed it, hoisting himself up.
He grinned at you, “I knew you didn’t hate me” he said quietly, “something tells me we are going to get along swimmingly” he added with a smirk, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.
Pushing him playfully, you scoffed, “as if, sir. You are far too much for me” you joked, turning to him with a smirk of your own, using your hand to push his face away from yours.
Reggie laughed, and once you stepped outside he went back to play, arguing with the coach- reasonably angry about a player running off. You watched from the sidelines, smiling fondly at the boy who managed to change your mind and calm you down, despite his usual behaviour.
