The Fallen Healer Prologue
An Au made by me (from what I know) in which Teyvat is an empire that’s divided into nine kingdoms, the seven nations, Celestia and Khaenr’iah. In the center is the capital and this whole structure is surrounded by walls like Ba-Sing-Se and Paradis from AOT, the people from the outside of the walls are completely banned in the inside of the districts, and if they are found inside, they will be executed.
The reader lives in a small farming village outside the walls and is poor.
This Au also is an harem, boys and girls will be a part of this

Teyvat has always been the biggest country in the whole earth and Celestia, the capital, shines brightly and the emperor rules with an iron fist, if someone dares defy the emperor’s authority they will face extreme consequences, like the kingdom of Khaenri’ah did, leaving that part of the empire forbidden to everyone thanks to the destruction of its lands.
One of the princes from Snezhnaya, Tartaglia, ventured outside the walls, looking for a way to expand his kingdom, however, during a battle, he was wounded and forced to stop in a village so he can be healed.
The creaking of a carriage could be heard going down the road outside the village, several men following it, in the inside a young man was heavily wounded, blood splattered across the bandages and beads of sweat shining in the prince’s forehead.
Ajax looked to the outside, not surprised by the scenery, so, he asked.
“How long until we get home?”
Outside, the driver, Felix, answered with a low voice, almost like a growl.
“We are not going back home to Snezhnaya my prince, we are almost a month away. So, we are going to this duchy’s capital to see if they can heal you”
“And how far away is that?” Ekaterina asked, cleaning the young man’s head with a rag.
“Two or three days at best” Felix said.
Ajax scoffed, not at all happy with the fact that he wouldn’t be back at Zapolyarny palace to his sister’s, Tonia, birthday. Even if Rosalyne had warned him about this, it still made him angry.
“Is there… any way we can g-get home faster?” The prince asked.
“Well, we are outside a small village right now, so we can try and ask for help, but I can’t promise you that they can help us” Felix answered, his concern for the prince growing bigger each second, since he started to look weaker and weaker.
“Rina, wha… what do you think?”
“It might slow us down my prince, but, it will help you with the wounds”
“I would normally say that we shouldn’t stop by, but the wound is hurting more and the blood is starting to spill faster, so, yeah, let’s stop” Ajax managed to say before fainting.
After this, the caravan stopped and several of the servants started to bang at the huts, making everyone inside of them wake up, 30 people exited them looking terrified, before standing in front of the delegation, one of the older women took a step forward and talked.
“We are very sorry, but we don’t have the taxes that you are looking for, since they were due the next week, but give us until tomorrow and we’ll have it” Madame Ping said, a grave tone in her voice.
“We aren’t here looking for the taxes, we have come to ask for your help, my buddy is gravely injured and is bleeding out, so we require your assistance” Javert said, his collector’s badge glowing in the side of his coat.
“It will be our pleasure. y/n! Come forward”
When Madame Ping said this, y/n ran towards her, their shirt disheveled thanks to the fact that they were sleeping a few minutes before.
“It would help me very much if you could bring him to my house, because that’s were I have my medical supplies”
“Sure, which one is it?” Ekaterina was holding Ajax with Felix while asking this, the young man’s head dropped to the side.
“I’ll lead you there” And then they turned towards their neighbors- Go back to sleep, there’s nothing else you can do now.
When Ajax woke up he was surprised to feel that his chest was full of bandages and his clothes were completely out of his line of sight, he tried to stand up, but he was stopped by you, while you entered the room with a pile of laundry.
“You’re awake! Thank the gods, I was starting to get worried that you would never wake up and I was going to be forced to say that their travel companion was dead, but you’re alright, so I don’t have to think about it”
You then went towards his side and started to change the bandages, feeling the stare of the man burning in your skull.
“What?” You asked.
“Can you please, cover me up?” He said while moving his hands to his crotch, so he didn’t have to feel that exposed in front of you.
“I can do that, but I need to change the bandages in that area before I can cover you up, but don’t worry! It’s nothing I haven’t seen before!”
Though you had said this to make him feel better, he still felt like he was being insulted since to you, he was average, but the embarrassment only made him redder, and he didn’t talk anymore while you were healing him. After a while, you finished, and helped him get dressed before calling his friends in.
“I need to go and grab more herbs so that I can make you something to ease the pain before you resume your journey” You said and exited the room, leaving the prince and the other three people so that they could chat.
“How do you feel, my prince?” Felix asked while moving towards the prince’s side.
“Better, my wounds don’t hurt like they used to do, but I’m still not in prime condition, even if I wanted to fight, I can’t”
“But are you well enough so that we can go back home?” Ekaterina talked now, helping her boss get up.
“Yes, I’m ready to go back home” As he talked, he got up and started to walk towards the door, but he was met with your silhouette in front of him, a basket hanging in your arm.
“Not really, you are good enough so that you can walk, but if you want to travel for more than four days, you’ll get worse” You said while putting down the herb basket that was full to the brim. “However, if you stay here for a few days, you’ll get better and then you can go”
“I’m fine!” Ajax said while trying to get past you and pushing you to the side.
“No, you’re not” You pressed in the large gash that was in his stomach, and he felt the bandages getting inside the wound.
As you pressed harder in the wound, Ajax’s face turned whiter, until he almost passed out, at this, you made him sit and started to check on the wound. Meanwhile, the prince’s companions looked at you like you were mad, they had never seen someone make the prince subdue to them nor they had seen someone lift a grown man with just one hand.
Ajax was glaring at you, how dare you to make him submit to your will? You are looking at one of the Snezhnayan princes, and you had a blank face while doing so.
“I’ll kill you” Ajax said while looking towards your hands, that were busy working in the wound that covered half his stomach.
“Sure! You can try and do it, but I can assure you that if you try to, you’ll die” Your tone sent shivers down Ajax’s spine, because you sounded so cheerful while saying that phrase, but in your eyes, a cloud of rage was brewing, ready to burst towards him.
After this, the room’s temperature dropped several degrees and your silhouette was covered in a very dark aura. Your face became grim, and all the cheerfulness that was in your face a while ago was nowhere to be seen, like you were remembering something from your past.
All the other people tried to avoid looking at you, as you scared everyone by the change in your attitude, Javert started to look around the room and noticed a badge that he recognized: A Corporal badge from the army of Khaenri’ah, next to it, a letter from Sumeru’s akademiya that said:
"Dear mx. L/n
You are welcomed to study in our institute like you requested, as your letter and curriculum really surprised us, your service to the fallen kingdom of Khaenri’ah as a corporal was really admirable and we’re really sorry for your losses in the war.
Thanks to your work as a healer you’ll study and work under Amurta with me as one of your professors, we’ll be waiting for you next fall,
Tighnari, representative of the Akademiya.”
Next to the letter was another one that said:
“Your application to enter the walls to study in Sumeru’s akademiya has been declined, don’t ask again.
Hiragii Shinsuke, Kanjou commission”
“Rina, look” Javert whispered while elbowing the woman, who stared at the place where the man was pointing to, this surprised her, and she looked at your neck, there, peeking trough the clothes you were wearing there was an eight pointed star tattoo, a symbol of you being a part of the fallen army.
“So, they where in the war? That explains why they looked so grim while talking about death, perhaps they remembered one of their fallen companions”
“I did” Your voice surprised both of them, because they thought you weren’t listening to them. “The war was not a happy place and millions of lives were lost in it, in the end, we lost and we were punished for helping our king”
Next to you, Ajax was quietly sleeping, the events of the day and loss of blood having drained all energy from him.
“So, you were a corporal?” Felix asked.
“That’s what the badge says, but I was at the position for a few weeks before we lost, my commander, Dainsleif went missing during one of the battles, where we were crushed by the celestial army”
“Dain! Where are you?!” Your throat hurt while you said this, clutching one of your companions in your arms.
“Y/n, he’s not here” Halfdan said while coughing, his whole chest completely covered in blood.
At the sight in your arms, your heart broke, tears rolling down your cheeks.
“Dan, it’ll be alright, you just have to wait a bit longer” His hand went to caress your cheek, covering it with blood.
“Wait a bit longer? Y/n I only have a few minutes left, and if you keep crying I’ll kill you”
“You can try and do it, but I can assure you that if you try to, you’ll die” You said while laughing a little, trying to smile for your friend as life disappeared from his eyes.
“Y… Y/n, are we going to eat dinner next week?” Halfdan asked, trying to take his mind away from his wounds.
_“Dinner with you? Dainsleif will get angry” _
“Why? Because I’ll go in a date with the one that he loves?”
“He loves me? The blood loss is starting to cloud your judgement, there’s no way he loves me” You said, feeling Halfdan starting to grow colder and colder with each heartbeat.
“I… I… I’m sure he does… after all… he told me that he was… was…” Blood started to drip out of his mouth, making his words sound gargled.
“Dan, keep talking, help will come soon!”
“Y/n, promise me that you’ll… make… sure that I’ll be buried under our tree, please”
“In my garden? Are you sure? It’s outside the walls, far away from your home”
“Yes, I always liked that place, it’s where you and Dain taught me to fight with a sword”
“Sure”
“That was the last day of war, the next day the kingdom fell and we were defeated, I buried Dan under that old cherry tree that’s outside, I really liked him. Dan was younger than me by two years, and he was a bundle of joy when he was recruited, I met him because there was an old barrack near this village ten years ago, I was 13 at the time and I really wasn’t ready for war. A few months later, it started and we had to face carnage and desolation, the war went on for 5 years and then it was over. Dan was very young and almost all our comrades were, I was the only one that survived.”
Your voice cracked at the last sentence, your eyes misted by the pain. You were 23 and had already faced worse things than most people had.
“Anyway, this idiot will get better in the next three days and then you can go back to your home” The somber look in your face faded completely and you already looked as cheerful as ever.
“We thank you very much, how can we pay you?”
“It’ll be 500 mora” There was no hint that you were joking.
“What?!” All three of them said, while they looked at you with eyes bigger than plates.
“It’s only fair, all the herbs are worth at least 750 mora in the keep’s market”
“But, you never said anything about paying you!” Ekaterina said, her hands already going to the bag of mora that hanged from her belt.
“You asked, and besides, it’s not like I’m rich and I’ll loose all my week helping you while I could be selling herbs so that I could be able to pay my taxes” Your voice was plain, not a hint of emotion in it, it’s like you weren’t there mentally.
“The taxes are 150 mora, so why do you ask for more?” Javert asked, helping Ekaterina count the coins so that they could pay you.
“That’s my business, not yours. If you want, you can leave now and not pay me a thing, but carrot here won’t survive for more than a day without the medicines. He needs to consume at least nine different ones so that he can get his blood level to normal. And that’s only the basics”
“Fine, we’ll pay”
The days started to change and Ajax got stronger and stronger, and you tended for him almost every hour he was awake, helping him to walk, get dressed and even bathing. When the last day of the prince’s stay came, you still didn’t know who he was, but he was about to discover who one of your friends was.
You sat in a towel in the shore of the river, while Ajax was bathing. Maple leaves fell to the floor, dancing in the wind. Ajax told you that he wanted to swim, so he was going to do it up the river stream, while he was doing it, a shadow loomed behind you.
Feeling the presence behind you, you turned around and swapped the person’s legs, making them fall, took your dagger from your belt and pressed it against the person’s neck. His red eyes looked at you with a terrified expression on them.
“Y/n, it’s me!” The man said, making you drop the dagger to the side.
“Kazuha! What are you doing here?!” You said, and Kazuha tried to get out of your grip.
“Well, I thought that it was a great idea to come and visit you, since your birthday is coming soon” He said, and your grip tightened on his shoulders.
“You know very well that I don’t like celebrating it, and besides, you shouldn’t be here! The Shogun’s people are looking for you right know! And there’s a delegation with a tax collector here! If they find you, you’ll be arrested!”
You helped Kazuha up and let him sit beside you, what you didn’t expect was Ajax dropping on your back hugging you without a car.
“AJAX WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! YOU ARE COMPLETELY NAKED!” You said and draped you coat on him, tucking him in, and letting him take a look to your friend.
“And who’s this?” His body language changed in a second, from relaxed to tense, a dangerous aura surrounding him.
“Ajax, I want you to meet Kazuha, an old friend of mine. He is the reason why I had all the herbs so that I could help you”
Ajax demeanor changed again and he muttered a little thank you while hugging you again, after that the three of you fell into a comfortable silence.
“You used all the herbs I got you? I’ll need to get you some more” Kazuha’s serene voice interrupted the silence, as he laid his head in your lap.
“Perhaps that would help you to stay away from the shogun’s army, so you should leave in a few days”
You caressed his hair, and Ajax started to connect the dots in Kazuha’s story.
“So you are Kaedehara Kazuha, the fugitive from Inazuma?” Ajax asked.
“Yes, he is. But you won’t say a thing to anyone, because if you do, I’ll make sure you won’t see the light of day again”
“Is that a threat?”
“Yes” Your voice came very sweetly, and your face was adorned with a smile, a dangerous gleam in your eyes.
“Y/n stand down, you don’t need to kill him if he says where I am” Kazuha tried to calm you, but he didn’t expect your answer.
“I never said that I was going to kill him, just kidnaping him will do”
“Ok, ok, I won’t tell anyone that I met you”
Ajax was surprised that you could threaten him without even needing to change the way you looked at him, but he still thought that it was surprising that you were willing to go to such lengths for one of your fiends, and a small tinge of jealousy blossomed in his heart. Kazuha felt his cheeks grow a little redder when you stared at him lovingly and hid his face in your stomach.
“You know, you have to leave in an hour so why don’t you go and start packing? I also need to go to the keep, I need to run some errands before coming back”
“Ok” Ajax said, feeling down about the fact that he needed to leave you, but he was also happy that he was going back home to his family. If only you were born in the inside, and not in the outside of the walls, kid of a fallen kingdom.
“Y/n, what are you going to do there… visit your… mph?!” Kazuha felt how you covered his mouth not letting him finish.
“Kazuha, I have told you a thousand times, you can’t say where I’m going, and it’s not your business what I do at the keep”
You stood up and cleaned of the stains from your clothes, getting ready to start the packing for the journey, while you were finishing the preparations for your journey.
Kazuha entered your hut, closing the door behind him.
“Y/n, I’m really sorry, I know your family is a hard subject for you, but it’s not your fault”
“I know, but it still doesn’t let me forget, if we were born in the inside, I could help them, but we were born outside, and we outlanders don’t belong in there. The fact that my parents and my sisters are subjects to the curse that was inflicted on us by the celestial throne, is my fault, if I fought with all my strength, maybe we would have won and then my family would be here with me, and I could be studying in the akademiya. But here we are, and we lost”
“Y/n… I… You know, when I met you, you helped me get out of the army’s grasp, so I don’t think you are weak and a bad fighter, it’s just that you fought a war that was against an enemy that’s very, very powerful, it would have been a miracle if you won”
“I don’t really want to talk about this anymore, where are you going to go now?”
“I think I’m going south, so that I can get you your herbs, I’ll be back in two or three months” Kazuha went to his bag and took it, before heading towards the door.
“Kazuha, please be careful. I don’t want you getting hurt”
You said this and then went to him, using the fact that you were taller, you kissed his forehead and then gave him a pat in his head.
“Be good, ok? I’ll leave now” You said this and exited the room, where Ajax and his companions were waiting for you.
“I’m ready, let’s head to the keep”
You got on the driver’s seat and started guiding the horses towards Rosewood Keep, since you knew some shortcuts, instead of the four days that it would normally take, it would take only two.
In the keep, Ajax and you bid goodbye, and you went to do your errands. Selling the medicines you made, going to pay the taxes your village needed to pay and visiting the hospital, were your family was hospitalized. What you didn’t realize at the moment, was that your life was going to do a 180° turn from now on.
