Battle Scars Prologue, Chapter 4: どこの良い？(Where’s the Good?)

The boy’s stock still as Splinter cups his cheek. It is a gesture the father had often used while younger as means of affection– typically after one of them had a nightmare. Don reacts similarly, but upon feeling the touch of familiar fur and silk, he leans in.

Leo stares at Splinter. Splinter stares back. The man smiles as tears glisten from his eyes. “My boys.. My sons . They have come back to me.

“They are home .”

There was silence. And then there were sobs. The two brothers fall into their father’s arms, grasping at him with childish wails. Tears drip from Splint’s already swollen eyes, but instead of a numb frown, it is accompanied by a loving, graceful smile.

Hamato Yoshi was whole once more.

Donnie is the only one that Splinter could save. Because of this, and his softshell, Splinter was extremely protective of Donnie. Splinter also never allowed him to go up to the surface, because he was so protective. But that didn't stop Donnie, and he took advantage of Splinter's love of chocolate cake and milk to sneak up. There he met April, who quickly became his best friend. Splinter didn't know about her for a couple of months, but when he did find out, he was livid. Donnie exploded back at him saying that he was a kid and he didn't need to be protected as much anymore. They had a heart to heart and eventually, April became Splinter's second child.

When Splinter was being kidnapped by Draxum gargoyles Big Mama was there to reclaim what was hers. Unfortunately for her Lou Jitsi got away not before without leaving him with a reminder in the form of a fatal injury in Lou's back.

This let Jitsu vulnerable to Huginn along with Muninn to take him to Barom Draxum. His little ninja rat had escaped from them leaving him completely alone.

When it was about time to mute the turtles and Lou was splashed with mutagen he could almost not bear the pain as the combination of the old Yokai DNA and mutage triggered an effect that cause immense pain coming from the inside.

From the bottom of his legs to the top of his head every part became a resemble of a spider.

When he finally got away with the new mutated baby turtles Lou could finally see what he had transformed into and from the horror, he almost ended up passing out...

Yet, he could not just stay there on a desolate street, he now has 4 baby turtles to take care of, despite his horrible appearance, his sons seemed to like him and even wanted to climb his back.... oh yea his back was still full of blood.

We've had Hamato Yoshi turned rat mutant Splinter,

We've had born a rat now a bit humanoid Splinter,

Give me an au/timeline were Yoshi is a Turtle mutant instead!

I was going to put 'Splinter mixed with turtle dna' then thought of how kinda terrifying a Rat/Turtle fused hybrid mutant would look.

I don't know how things would change with a turtle Splinter, but I think it would be interesting, since Splinter would lose quite a bit of flexibility, though he would just adjust and overcome that change...

Though Rise Splinter would have a very weird look if the mutagen tried to pull traits from all Four of the turtles.

This is very much open to interpretation, and be used as a concept. I welcome you to let yourself dive way to deep into the potential story.

I feel like people do not talk enough about how Lou Jitsu had saved the brothers. I have not finished the season yet, though him giving up fighting and trying to keep his composure even when things are not going the right way . I am so. He was in the battle nexus for ten years. The person he thought he would marry betrayed him. I know it may be a kids show but the angst???? I am so. He seriously lost so much yet him caring for his sons is what kept him going I need a minute. Yes, Hamato Yoshi is not the perfect dad. He is flawed. Though he is trying and working to improve. I just can not get over that he swore not to fight again, though chose to fight for his sons. I am so . IT JUST ??? HIT ME . He has been through so much. There is probably even more. It just makes me so sad he went through all of that. Be as that may he still managed to have compassion in his heart. That is what really gets me.

Random thought I just had.

What if when Donnie was a toddler, Splinter thought his happy/excited stims were just him dancing. And he would hype him up like “oh shit! Damn purple get it!”

Except he never grew out of it and that’s why he loves dancing so much, because some of them are just happy stims.

(Splinter still occasionally hypes him up sometimes. It’s rare but it does happen and they both love it.)
